Dan was already looking distressed (before the blow). The lil cocktail (martini?) by his side is sending me.

If that were me, I'd immediately look in the direction of the attacker to know if I should expect more violence. Dan doesn't even seem that surprised. He just shrinks in fear, preparing himself for the impact. This is one of the moments from the trailer I'm most curious about. (mostly because of Louis).

We don't see the shelves falling. I'm trying to figure out the perspective of the attack. For a sec thought there was a fight, but we'd get a reaction from Dan. Someone is just raging. Wonder who that is, hm...who could that be.

Books on the right look like they were thrown with a great force through the glass, while the ones on the right look like they were shoved.

But in the previous trailer (gif below), they looked thrown. And the laptop was closed. This is the 2nd time (I think) that the same scene has slightly different details. Memory thing? Reshoots?

I read a quote once that was something along the lines of 'if I have to write two characters kissing for you to know that they're in love, I have failed as a writer.' This is a sentiment I not only agree wholeheartedly with, but something that came to mind when wanting to do an analysis of Kazuya's character ending and kazjun's relationship.

We get a bit of environmental storytelling with her picture. It's a beautiful photo, clearly posed for, and lovingly encased in an elaborate pure gold frame. The vibes are expensive, luxurious, and meaningful because he clearly cared enough to have it custom-made since it's got the Zaibatsu's logo on it. Behind the picture frame are two porcelain teacups and a teapot, along with Rochefort Tea, Azucena's coffee and that mixed blend of both. That tells us they frequently have tea and coffee together in his office!

On the first question Kazuya is asked, he is immediately dismissive of it. Asking about Jun however not only gets an immediate physical reaction with the curled fist and him filling the room with electricity, but he goes on to make it explicit that she is the only person in the world that he sees as an equal. She stood up to him over 20 years ago and he never forgot it. And, she's just as strong now if not moreso.

When he throws the trophy, that's him giving a demonstration of this. He's showing her off! He knew she would catch it, and likewise Jun knows that he knew she would, which is why she gives that soft little smile. And his tone when he delivers the "tsuyoi" is... very telling. He not only acknowledges and values her strength but is extremely attracted to it.

There's also the added framing context of this episode, that it's a documentary on him. He just publicly declared to the world that her strength turns him on. Iconic.

It's pretty damn clear that he loves her, not only from all of the above but the fact that he demonstrated it at all in the first place. Kazuya doesn't bother to talk about things he doesn't care about.

Hello! Since this blog doesn't see much activity nowadays, I wanted to say two things: 1. How are you? You were one of the people who inspired me to dive into SAGAU in 2022 and captivated me endlessly with your writing style. Your writing immersed me in what felt like a fantasy world in the best way—rife with possibilities, danger, love, and so much more. It propelled me to new heights and made me wonder what it would be like to be more than the reader, to wield a pen and use it as the brushstroke to paint all kinds of worlds, creatures, and characters.

On that note, I'll follow with the second thing: 2. You are one of my biggest inspirations as a writer. Because of you and others, I've spent the last two years writing and creating like never before in a way I didn't think I was capable of. I have an AO3 and a Tumblr blog, mainly dedicated to posting my musings in a "stream-of-consciousness" format for narrative purposes. Because of you, I've grown—as a person, friend, and writer. Because of you, I made countless memories I'll cherish for years: sharing and building stories with my friends' group chat, roleplaying, making AUs, etc. Because of you, I did everything I thought I couldn't: I fostered my creativity and cultivated it to plant what is now a thriving garden regularly visited by my friends. It has helped us bond immensely and provided me solace in my darkest hours.

Because of you, I wrote my first book on Wattpad. I hopped onto a wild, emotional, and unforgettable rollercoaster that saw my interest in watching movies and reading literature be re-ignited for the sake of inspiration, have a taste of fandom culture via Steven Universe, Genshin Impact, Murder Drones, and several other games and shows that have undoubtedly and irreversibly changed my life. Because of you, I made OCs, I discovered YouTube movie recaps, and now I can write a pretty good summary myself!

That is to say that I'm wholly grateful to you, Eros, and everyone else who led me down the path of the writer, supported me throughout with their comments, memes, stars, and kudos, and generally showed enthusiastic interest in my work. I wouldn't be here if not for you all. I hope your ship of life continues sailing smoothly, as has mine, after years of turbulent weather and unpredictable storms that threatened to throw us overboard if I hadn't held on to others (and myself) for support.

May the new year bring you joy and prosperity, and hey, what do you know? Maybe I'll write something for SAGAU someday. The only reason I haven't taken the plunge yet is because of how inactive (for lack of a better word) the community there has become, and I don't know what I would write. Ideas, anyone?

Anyway, I've talked for long enough. Keep up the good work, Eros, and remember that in someone's (my) heart, you are still held dearly as an inspiration. Even if the golden age has long faded, we will always have our memories to keep us company: "Don't cry because it ended. Smile because it happened."

it is unfortunate that the collective sagau fandom has kind of died out, honestly. its what got me really into writing as well (which i feel like i have to mention @/nicebonescomrade for being the writer to get me to make my first sagau blog. one of the other og's and also a phenomenal writer). im glad it had such a large impact on you though!! that makes me really happy bc ive always been self conscious about my writing and writing style ngl, though i never grew out of it bc it worked for me. i can't imagine stories like books as a movie in my head like some people (literally head empty) so i lean more on actually putting more feeling and description into my work to compensate. it gets a bit wordy but it helps me write bc i do not plan anything i just start writing based on vibes.

sagau downfall was definitely inevitable (and a part of why im super inactive) but im happy with how it turned out anyway bc of how big the fandom is and how many people turned to creative hobbies bc of it. its nice to know i at least had some kind of impact myself KJHKDH i wouldnt consider myself one of the "big" sagau accounts by any means so its a bit of a surprise ngl um. looks around.

i genuinely just spend most of my time these days printing out random fics when i get the urge (once in a blue moon, 99% of which are in my draft vault), playing whatever game caught my fancy this week and playing genshin because it's still a black hole i will never escape from! honestly maybe one day ill come back to this account for real instead of sporadic posting but uhhh. probably not unless a new big au pops up again.

listen. i have MANY feelings about his new look. am i appreciative that he’s here at all? yes. am i going to be writing fics based off his reboot lore? absolutely. do i prefer his old look? 100%.

his actor (raphael corkhill) absolutely nailed his performance. it was phenomenal. i have zero complaints about the acting, he exceeded any expectations that i had. i just wish they had casted someone who was slavic (not necessarily russian, none of the russian characters are played by russians anyway lol) and looked a little more like OG yuri.

his voice? show-stopping. i held my breath the first time i heard it. i loved OG yuri’s voice (brian bloom <3) and somehow they’ve managed to top it. i literally fell asleep fantasizing purely about his voice last night – it is that amazing. and his chuckles, his little hums? i can’t get over it.

and the height upgrade? OG yuri was 5’11/180cm. reboot yuri is roughly 6’2/188cm, comparing him to laswell. his actor is only 5’8, so it was definitely an intentional move lol. they wanted him tall.

this isn’t a full review because i honestly haven’t seen everything yet. there’s apparently extra dialogue that laswell and nikolai say about him that a lot of people keep missing. supposedly, he used to work for barkov, just like makarov. nowadays, he’s affiliated with the kastovian armed forces. i like the change, it’s something new while still calling back to his OG backstory.

whenever i write reboot yuri – it’s with the OG’s face in mind lmao. new guy did great, but i’m going with what i prefer to look at, which is OG.

real talk though; if i could surgically remove the Bruce & Alfred scenes out of Gotham TV and make an entire separate Batman project out of them i would, because they're so distinctly different from the rest of the show and from the common Batman comic narratives, it floors me everytime. If we take the whole show as a body, the heart is placed in Bruce Wayne and it bleeds into his relationships with people, but most importantly with Alfred. It's such stark and exciting constrast to how Batman comics generally portray Bruce Wayne or the Batman persona; Gotham!Bruce is so tender and bare and transparent, heart beating and bleeding so close to his skin, you can see when it taints through his shirt, and his moments of absolute irrational sentimentality are not played cheap or like missteps in a planned protocol rational persona, they're utterly sincere and every emotion he expresses is as integral to his character as his moments of analytical calculation.

Anyway I'm in the ep where Vogler first shows up and I remember recently seeing that "Hate when the fandom makes awful stuff up that a morally grey character did. Like free my man he didn't do that. He did do a bunch of other stuff tho" post recently (I swear I'm going somewhere)

So Cuddy and House have that convo about Medical Ethics. And Cuddy is completely right House violates those all the time. However, House's specific criticism was "we're pressuring patients into choices that are bad for them, good for us. We're gonna compromise patient care". Now you can argue about whether what House is doing is "good patient care" (y'know, being a dick to them, ignoring what they want, that stuff), but it is aimed at saving their lives and not at making money, so, that's absolutely not "Taking House's game and going Pro". That is, in fact, doing almost the opposite ("Making patients agree to treatments that will not help them" vs "Forcing treatment on patients that will make them better").

All of which is to say, I'm not active in the fandom, but I'd still wanna tag House in the above mentioned post but with "his boss and coworkers" instead of "the fandom" asdgasjkdh

Tenten glances over his shoulder and then crouches down so he’s at Boba’s eye level. He brushes the back of his scarred knuckles across Boba’s cheek. “They’ll try to harvest cells from us, but we’re too edited—impure. You, on the other hand, are untouched. Tsad Droten is churning through us like mulch, they will approach you soon with a plea bargain.”
