weekes saying all that mythal shit is up to interpretation is so weird to me because instead of worrying about leaving all of solas' past up to vague interpretation to (new) players because you're too chickenshit to stand by your established lore you could've focused on ghilan'nain and elgar'nan and who they were and what they became. elgar'nan literally let the other evanuris slay his wife and he watched on, and then he rotted in a prison made by what he referred to as his wife's "lapdog" and second in command general. and what of ghilan'nain? what is their relationship? why is it just the two of them in that prison when there were more evanuris trapped in there? why are they simultaneously this omnipotent threat capable of spawning blight at will but also two dimensional villains chasing their own tails half the game while solas just poses and speaks in his riddles in the fade. also a fragment of mythal is inside of morrigan, does no part of her gaf that her husband is literally terrorizing the world she loves? hello??

I feel like wxs gets 100x more silly during their live performances. Idk if its just me but seeing little details put into they way they react and the stuff they get to babble on about is so fascinating. Like i dont think some of those random moments can be captured in event stories for quite a few reasons but I love seeing them just be comfortable with each other and go from random topic to random topic.

a lot of the friction between juwan and eunyung early on stems from 1) juwan has a very sheltered worldview 2) he doesn't know about eunyung's home life and is only left with the effects of it - running away and nearly empty closet, having a job in hs, not knowing how to treat someone who's ill, etc. he gets combative right off the bat instead of trying to extend his empathy to her. it's easier to say wtf is wrong with this guy than to contemplate what might actually be wrong with said guy 😭

and its this kinda thing that makes juwan's targeted eunyung hate campaign sooo much worse. now that she's comfortable enough in the dorm, she does not want problems (and will not create them unless she feels provoked which. well...!). she's literally just behaving the only way she knows how!!! like YES!!!!! im sure eunyung is familiar with being sick all by herself!!!!!

imma be so honest i dont like the whole "jenova was controlling sephiroth" theory. this yt comment described how i felt abt it perfectly. they said "I get the feeling that a lot of people who want Jenova to be the main villain are those that have some sort of admiration for Sephiroth and want him to be a tragic, redeemable character, rather than all-out crazy maniacal." or something to that effect.

and listen, i'm not all caught up, and im going purely based off vibes and what i understood from the story (all forms, mostly the OG). i think it's scarier to know that sephiroth's will and hatred was so strong he was able to overpower an extraterrestrial calamity. it makes him more villainous imo, and to have that all be flushed out by "well he was a puppet the whole time!!!" im just kinda like oh. thats a bit snooze but he's still my little doodlebop i wont think less of him, but its just more villainous to me for him to enact his will over something already so powerful.

TBH tho i love a game that encourages fan theories, but what comes with that is disagreeing or agreeing and most of all, discussing. all just a matter of opinion. i just dont personally believe that hes a puppet to jenova the whole time.
