Season 3 Episode 3: Gridlock

AUGHHHHH PEAKKKKKKKKK!!!! SIT HIS ASS DOWN MARTHA MAKE HIM TALK ABOUT HIS FEELINGS!!!! what a great episode!!!!! the doctor lying to martha, or really ommiting the truth of his homeworld, the virus killing new earth and only the undercity being left, the dystopian nature of the motorway, the passangers who didn't get much time to shine but were memorable nonetheless, martha putting her faith in the doctor and the doctor coming back for her, martha saying she doesn't know if the doctor likes her or if he just needs someone, the fact she calls out the doctor rebounding on her, the kidnapping couple being down on their luck and trying to get in the fast lane causing them to take martha, the minor cat lady from a whole season ago!!!!the face of boe telling the doctor hes not alone, martha wondering if he meant her, THE DCOTOR SHOOTING HER DOWN (criminal) but talking to her about the truth of his planet, what a great episode, this whole concept was so damn cool i love this episode so much already.

extreme levels of hotness aside this also has some tasty (lol!) parallels to the fight that caused this. like. ford getting animalistically consumed by emotions, leading to him being violent towards stanley with blood all over the place, stopping when he realizes that there's blood... but, also, during their fight, ford kept his concern to himself, while during this ford expresses it outright. ford being overtaken with euphoria/lust instead of rage... ouuughghghgghhhh
