The thing is that Cellbit is going down a really dangerous path. he's going back to his murderous tendencies and no one in his group has a leveled head. Foolish,Jaiden,Slime and Baghera wants chaos (...hence their entity room haha) and Phil is blind to any actions they do. Phil could be the one to bring Cellbit back to the right path but he's too busy pitying him and his team, he's justifying any violence they do. For Phil (and maybe his teamates) they will always be the underdogs. Even if right now they are on top. I think this team will poison itself from the inside. By the end of this event, if no one from the other teams act, i don't know how they'll come back from this after purgatory.

The Darcy/Ben parallels this season are driving me insane because their actions in episode 7 directly mirror each other

First we have Ben, we know his family wouldn't accept his queerness and it drives him to the point of fear that he can't even let himself be a part of his own community. When faced with an opportunity to try and accept himself even in an event where his family would have no way of finding out. He refuses to let the rainbow touch him.

he still decides to turn away, choosing his toxic environment over a potential safe haven.

Darcy does the opposite

Her mom doesn't accept her being a lesbian and her home is flooded by that negativity. Its controlling and suffocation and Darcy knows she has a community so she takes herself out of it.

Even before this Darcy has let herself be who she is and made it her goal to accept others as well, because she hates the way she feels in that home. Darcy kills that negativity while Ben spreads it. Ben kills that part of himself while Darcy spreads it with those that she can.

Am i saying that Ben should run away from home to let himself be queer? no, that's not a viable option for most 16 year olds (and i'm actually really curious to see what happens with Darcy next season) but Ben needs to realize that if he lets himself he can have his own safe haven, a place where he can be himself but before he can even do that he need to understand what he did wrong with Charlie and why he can't be forgiven for that.

Ben and Darcy are two sides of the same coin, two victims who have used their hurt to do different thing. Darcy frees herself from it even before running away from home. Ben festers in it and eventually turns from victim to abuser.
