I hate being a person who loves bugs, I can't say anything without the person I'm talking to reacting with disgust. Today I had to literally beg a coworker for the life of a spider, and then after I put it in a nook outside she thought it'd be funny to show me a video she took of her killing one. Like idk man. Birds scare the shit out of me but I still get why people love them. They come in pretty colors and they sound nice and they're interesting to observe. I don't understand why people don't feel the same about bugs. The rich amber color of a cockroach, the iridescent glow of a fly, the intricate hydraulics that power their little legs, the chirp of a beetle, the art of the spider's web... It's all so beautiful. Why is it the habit of so many to destroy?

Wasps get pretty used to the presence of onlookers! They just keep carrying out their VERY (!) important tasks uwu I once spent like 20 minutes looking at wasps fortifying their little rooms in a wall against the oncoming winter! Yuta got pinned bc he's the bottom of the death riders totem pole. He got pinned bc his storyline REVOLVES around him being a sacrifice for the greater good. He got pinned bc of interference from Jay bc they're building a mini feud there.

He got pinned bc this was a match that rated ftr were Obviously going to win (because they're Asheville guys at an Asheville show raising money for Asheville charities) and Yuta is the only one in DR who's gonna get pinned. Not to ~put over older guys~ but bc mox and Claudio both occupy story roles that mean that getting pinned wouldn't make sense (mox is the world champ and so far undefeated in his run, Claudio is The Muscle and The Big Guy and needs to remain a big visible threat) whereas Yuta getting pinned *potentially furthers his storyline*

He's not getting pinned bc he's booked poorly or bc they hate him or whatever, he's getting pinned bc it *works in favor of his storyline and within the meta context of the show tonight*

Yuta is literally My Guy™ to an alarming extent and *I* can fucking recognize this. Your favorite does not always need to win. Your favorite losing frequently doesn't mean they're booked poorly. Your favorite isnt being buried by they lost a few matches in a row.

Wrestling is by and large *not* about wins and losses; it is primarily a storytelling medium that furthers its narrative through what happens in and out of the ring. it's because trolls have a completely different history than we do-- i mean, obviously, they're aliens-- so the thing is they wouldn't have had a baby boom that caused gender roles to be reimposed on their (american) society in the 50s. nor would they have an explosion of trolls desperately idolizing those 50s now in backlash to societal progress. it simply wasn't a thing that happened for them.

they don't have that societal context at all, and therefore, it just doesn't make sense.

my post was a joke -- because i think if alternians did have a sort of social equivalent to a tradwife it would essentially just be equius -- but i don't think they really would have that.
