I hate being a person who loves bugs, I can't say anything without the person I'm talking to reacting with disgust. Today I had to literally beg a coworker for the life of a spider, and then after I put it in a nook outside she thought it'd be funny to show me a video she took of her killing one. Like idk man. Birds scare the shit out of me but I still get why people love them. They come in pretty colors and they sound nice and they're interesting to observe. I don't understand why people don't feel the same about bugs. The rich amber color of a cockroach, the iridescent glow of a fly, the intricate hydraulics that power their little legs, the chirp of a beetle, the art of the spider's web... It's all so beautiful. Why is it the habit of so many to destroy?
#insects#entomology#to be clear i think its perfectly understandable that people have phobias#i would never force someone to look at or touch a bug if they didnt want to#but it almost seems like some enjoy killing tiny creatures#like hell. even if they play no part in transferring the bug they still want it dead#it just makes me sad. theyre such lovely little beasts its like watching someone kill a puppy to me

#its a 500 sheet pack of kokuyo paper in a4 size#im so excited bc its basically a huge stack of fountain pen friendly paper at the same price of any old printer paper pack#ALSO. IM SICK OF LETTER PAPER THIS IS AN A4 HOUSEHOLD FROM NOW ON. theyre so similar it doesnt MATTER#i like stitching up little books now and then and it always bugs me that the paper i have on hand doesnt fold up to a5 or a6 size#now i can make little journals that actually fit in a hobonichi sleeve or something!!! and are nice to write in!!!#my old handmade books did not take fountain pen well so they got relegated to The Shelf#stationery

Wasps get pretty used to the presence of onlookers! They just keep carrying out their VERY (!) important tasks uwu I once spent like 20 minutes looking at wasps fortifying their little rooms in a wall against the oncoming winter! They were very smart and pretty and very sweet about me standing there <3

not going to lie i do find it quite upsetting that so many ppl think that animals that arent immediately relatable to humans are completely incapable of thought or feeling. and thats the only thing that matters when it comes to animal rights arguments a lot of the time

#talkin#big spider based events yesterday#lots of spiders in this building#an alleged brown recluse got lost in our kitchen and showed up at my bedroom door at 2am...#i stomped it w my shoe and thought it got away?? like didnt see it?? and i went 2 the bathroom n when i came back it was squished and dead#but not even where i stomped it and i know it wasnt on my shoe#and then later i scratched an itch while i ws in bed and it was a little spider i felt bad abt tht one tht was an accident#and also theres a chill ass lil house spider hanging out in the corner of my room by my bes#i need a bedframe skdkdjsh i cnt keep waking up w bugs on me or mysterious bugbitws#i love spiders theyre my friends bt ysterday Was harrowing#tht brown recluse ran at me and i did a 6 foot vertical leap#it might not have eben been a brown recluse bc idk abt my eyesight but if 1 of them is in my home it is kill watch#most spiders i let back into the outside hall where most of them live since outdoors would kill most of them#i will not b doing that w biting spiders#spiders#i also hate when bugs can see u looking at them trying to decide what to do w them and they like. slowly start moving away like dkdjdjdhdhd#right before they SPRINT n disappear#u can see it w fruit flies too if i look too close at one to see if it rlly is a bug bc again my eyesight they lift their tiny little wings#right before they take off#i also have eternal beef w the fruit flies

Recent-ish life pictures and etc.

Its kind of hard to see but on the inside of this watermelon there is a slightly lighter formation that sort of looks like a heart shape#4. special breakfast of scrambled eggs. soy sausages. and jarred artichoke heart. with some black coffee and whipped cream + a strawberry#5. ARBY.. fish ...traditional summer treat available only until like september maybe for like a month. but I love them because theyre cheap#lol.. the next closest/cheapest fried fish sort of option that is easily acessible to me is a more upscale fast food place where you can ge#three tiny little chunks of fish maybe the palm of your hand sized for about $17 lol... so 4 arby fried fish chunks for like $5 is good#6. & 7 - very cool sunset colored sort of pink/yellow/orange flower I found growing wild in someone's yard#8. got as a gift from someone who got it for christmas but didn't really want it and asked if I did since everyone knows Im like The Person#Who's Obsessed With Cats out of any group of people.. but I still havent done it lol.. it just sits there gathering dust until I have#the time on top of my 600 other projects.
