he wants to celebrate this with sally, he NEEDS to celebrate this with sally, and when his eyes finally land on her, squeezing through the crowd to try and get to him, he waits until shes right at the side of his car with his championship shirt in one hand, marker in the other, pretending to be a fan asking for an autograph. he doesnt hesitate, though, he grabs her hand and pulls up, and she gets the hint and scales the car. with absolutely ZERO thought, he dips her and kisses her, and theyre stood in victory lane with confetti falling around them, champagne in his hair, and the love of his life in his arms.

theres a photographer somewhere in the crowd; they catch that scene. the darkness of the sky behind them, the stadium lights being one of the only light sources around, and they catch each piece of confetti in that lens, every person in the crowd, all of the reporters that have backed away to give whoever was photographer the Perfect scene. they capture perhaps one of the most iconic victory pictures to date; the youngest piston cup driver to ever win a cup kissing his girlfriend right after his big win.

its in the RSN magazine, any sports magazine to be frank, and its probably one of their favourite pictures of all time. lightning really wishes he could thank that photographer.

The recent addition to your wardrobe was not the most comfortable one, a bright pink, itchy, annoying cast, a consequence of playing a bit too rough with Peter. Natasha had been beside herself with worry, but you, despite the discomfort, seemed to be taking it in stride, though you were noticeably more fussy than usual.

Bucky, ever the protective father, had taken it upon himself to carry you more than he normally did, to which Natasha had to remind him that it was your arm that was broken and not your legs but he seemed to ignore the reminders. Nat always resourceful, had decorated the cast with stickers of butterflies and stars, trying to make it seem less intimidating for you. Despite their efforts, you still seemed upset by the whole ordeal.

One afternoon, Natasha was trying to coax you into taking a nap, which you blatantly refused since who wants to take a nap when they could be playing?

“Mama no nap! My arm hurt! It sooooo itchy!” You whined and wriggled out of Nat’s arms, you stomped your foot on the ground trying to make a point. “No nap! No nap!”

Natasha sighed and gave in, she knew you wouldn’t sleep anyway. “Alright fine, cranky pants. You better be nice to Mama for the rest of the week now.” Natasha smirked.

Natasha carried you into the Avengers Lounge where most of the Avengers were just doing their own thing. You looked to the side to see your Uncle Steve playing with one of your toys, obviously trying to get your attention. You saw the bright pink cast on his arms and you dropped your stuffed giraffe.

“Uncle Steve!” You shouted excitedly, jumping over to him and looking at his arm. “You got boo-boo toooooo!” You squealed excitedly.

"Hey there, kiddo," Steve said, crouching down to your level. "We are cast buddies now! See?” He smiled and put his fake cast next to your real cast.

"We are twins now!" You giggled, your excitement was too much to contain. “Look, Daddy! Look, Daddy!” You couldn’t help but jump up and down in pure excitement and joyfulness.

Bucky turned towards you and Steve and smiled. “Wow, you guys are just like each other now!” He laughed.

You nodded eagerly. “Just like meee!” You cheered and picked up your sticker sheet, putting a bunch of random stickers on Steve’s ‘cast’. “So pretty.” You smiled.

Bucky and Natasha exchanged amused glances as Steve played along, pretending to examine his "injury" with exaggerated seriousness. You seemed to forget all about your own discomfort, focusing instead on your new game of matching casts with your favorite uncle.

For the duration of the time you had to wear your cast, whenever you felt down about your cast, Uncle Steve was there with his fake one, ready to show you that you weren't alone. Natasha and Bucky watched you and your uncle bond over your shared "injuries," they knew your Uncle Steve would always be there for you.

It seems like such an interesting ability with a lot of broad potential. You also mention how it's a curse though too, how so? Would they be able to hear animals hurt? or just overhear some really cursed deranged conversation between two pigeons type of thing lol

I've been debating how I wanted to answer this so I think it'd be better to break it into segments.

Does Pico's ability to communicate with animals ever come in handy in a situation?

Yes actually! If there's ever a problem happening with one of the pups ex: coming down with a cold, upset stomach, stuck in a hard to get out of spot, injury, etc he's usually the first to know or to hear about it from the other dogs and can act accordingly more quickly, same also goes for any injured animals in the woods. Another perk is being able to tell if there are poachers in the area, whether he hears it from the birds or squirrels or any critter that happens to spot them and run em out of the forest. I'm kinda debating whether this ability also extends to yokai/mutated related pets, sooooo I would like to think so too. Another perk tho is finding out all the hot gossip amongst the woodland life lol.

To other people it's just your typical animal calls and sounds la di da, but to Pico it's hell. He hears everything. He knows what's going on and he hates it. He's able to hear animals when they're talking about him behind his back, any constant nagging if one's trying to get his attention, the endless chatter if he's trying to sleep etc. I think it'd get overwhelming sometimes, all these individual voices that only he ( and Todd I believe) can hear all going on at the same time, it's not fun. He also has beef with a raccoon.

I'd like to think most animals that were tethered to the ground (land animals) didn't have a high chance of making it due to the kraang like goo that would take over individuals in mere seconds it touched (sadly that includes the dogs :c ) so birds were the ones that came more out on top cuz they were able to avoid it more easily. They'd help do aerial surveillance, taking note of what routes were safe to traverse, spot any labor camps the kraang were commandeering and relay messages back n forth to plan a rescue. It's a very useful ability to have on hand.

Especially with my aunt bc I've just become so sick of listening to her talk about things she wants to get or wants to do but doing nothing about it like do something or shut up omg and my job pissed me off and this show i was watching pissed me off lol at least I wasn't depressed!

I went to the doctor and he asked me to lose weight bc my blood work was on the higher end of the green and I knew this was coming lol I knew saturn return 1H was going to involve losing weight at some point! I've never truly tried before ?? I was active bc I was always dancing on a team but when I wasn't in school anymore that stopped lol so i've been trying out different recipes recently bc food and ordering out is my biggest weakness! I've cooked a lot over the last couple months and it's been nice! It's like a muscle so the more you do it the less hard it feels to get up and do it again. I also got an electional reading on 3/18 for best date to get my gym membership. Putting the pieces together fr!

I've been fucking tired bruh! I get bursts of energy and then I have to recuperate for 3 days lol

This has been interesting because one of the attorneys I work with has been showing how much he trusts me lately and I'm like omgggg he was like "be honest does my argument here sound stupid?" lmaoo It's really easing the imposter syndrome!

I noticed this in the meals I was choosing to prepare! Instead of going 0-100 like "I'm gonna stop ordering out cold turkey and I'm gonna meal prep every day" I've been finding easy recipes I like and just buying those ingredients and trying it out! The rest of the time I would make it real basic with just a rice, protein, veggie combo lol can't go wrong there!

Able to organize many small details into larger tasks

Idk why I thought this one would show up in me finishing this 3000 piece puzzle that's laid out on my floor lmao but instead it was just being able to think clearly about all the moving pieces of planning my Amsterdam trip!

Content to be patient and to work slowly

I spent 3 weeks with nothing to do at work at all and that was just sooooo boring but I wasn't nearly as antsy as I had been before when that happened.

Expectations are modest and you are willing to do whatever is necessary to achieve them

My goals this transit were just to cook more and actually use the groceries I bought. Even today I ate my last banana! I'm not ashamed to say I'm a banana buyer but I only eat one and the rest stay there to rot but this time I ate all 4!

This is not a glamorous time in your life but your actions can lead to real and lasting accomplishments

Facts omg my apt is not cute rn but I wasn't in the mood to upkeep it (aka put my clean clothes away lol) but I am cleaning up on the last couple days of this transit so it better stay clean for a while lol
