Totally forgot to yeet this at you earlier hhhhhh
For the ask game:
"A kiss while playing a game (spin the bottle, truth or dare, etc) w both Hawks and Asra~
^w^ love you bestie~
[Prompt from here.]
(Spin the Bottle with Hawks.)
It was not in your wildest dreams that you would even find yourself playing Spin the Bottle with fully grown adults - much less with adults like Hawks. Did the Number 2 hero really have no where better to be than at a house party? In fact - who invited him to the house party?
Certainly not you.
Rumi, though, she kept giving you A Look. Mischief danced in her pretty eyes, cheeky grin spreading over her lips every time you glanced in her direction.
A grin that morphed into a gleeful cackle when it was finally your turn to spin the bottle - Nemuri had gotten you, and given you a friendly peck on the cheek - and it naturally decided to land on Hawks.
"You don't look so pleased~" Hawks teased, leaning back against his hands while his wings stretched out behind him.
"Oh whatever Wings," you muttered, getting to your feet to approach him. His golden eyes watched you, head cocked to the side - you could have sworn you saw him give you the once over, eyes widening in appreciation, softening when they returned to your face.
As Nemuri had done with you, you intended to give Hawks a friendly kiss on the cheek - naturally, of course, because you were not school children doing everything in their power to get a kiss from their crush - but he had other plans. You lips barely brushed his smooth cheek before you felt his mouth on yours, head tilted ever so much. The little lap of his tongue made you squeak, your whole body falling to one side.
Hawks caught you with one arm, chuckling that soon turned into laughter when you berated him, cheeks burning with a deep blush.
"Easy, kid, easy~" he chuckled again amidst whooping and jeering from onlookers, and - well, you supposed you could let it pass this time.
But only because he looked genuinely happy, for once in the short amount time that you knew him.
(Twister with Asra.)
"Left hand on red, Asra."
You couldn't stop yourself from giggling, because there was no way Asra was going to be able to put his left hand on red. That would require him to twist his body around and duck under you, because you had both right foot and hand on yellow, and left foot and hand on blue.
Nadia was blocking the path closest to your legs, and Asra already had one foot on green, and one foot on yellow - and in his vast wisdom, he had somehow decided that the best course of action when he started was to stand with his back to you.
"See, if my dear apprentice would simply lower herself--"
"I will do no such thing, dear mentor," you interrupted cheekily, looking up at him as best you could, grinning at the shared mischief dancing in his eyes, "you may figure it out."
"Chop chop Asra! Time's a wasting~" Julian sang, clapping his hands together for emphasis, "before I consider you out!"
"Alright," Asra stretched his arms high above his head, rolled his shoulders, and from that impossible angle, dropped into an off-balance bridge. He walked his hands along the white, avoiding any color, and you promptly found yourself face to face with him as he held his weight up with his left hand on red.
"Hello love," he murmured while Julian spun the dial for the next color. Nadia shuffled behind you, assumedly putting her right hand on blue.
"Hello," you stammered back, wishing that he had not chosen this course of action - and then, appreciating that he had chosen this course of action as he very easily pushed himself up just enough that his soft lips brushed over yours.
"For putting up with me, always," he whispered into your mouth.
"Darling apprentice, please you may move right foot to red!"
"I would have it no other way - but I am going to fall," you informed Asra. Shock morphed his soft expression as you slipped to the side, almost hitting him on your way down.

who's lien-hua??
Short answer: My absolute child and the only OC I have cried genuine, REAL tears over. And not tearing up or sniffling a little, full on SOBS. Kat still owes me emotional compensation for that one 😤😤
Long answer: She's one of @katkastrofa’s OCs that I now have partial custody of. P'Li's little sister, born in 136 AG, a sweet cinnamon roll too good for this world, too pure, no matter how damn overused that phrase is, it still fits her 🥺🥺🥺 When drawing her last year I accidentally made her look a lot like my friend's little sister so now I am always extra soft about her. But considering what happens, you can imagine the level of emotional devastation this is causing me and just how much this has affected my ability to look at Katya the same way ever again. Doesn't help that her older sister has an annoying tendency to wear her waist length hair in a brushed back braid...
Anyway, for reference, the baby girl, sweet girl herself, from about July 2023:
Tumblr media
And now that you have been fully taken with this precious thing's cuteness, it is imperative I let you know that she is killed at age 7 by the warlord who tried to turn P'Li into a living weapon 😐
She's the living embodiment of a tragedy, a child born to be collateral damage, the one who could not be saved no matter what was done, the "it was always going to end this way" half of the tragedy dichotomy. A little girl unjustly killed as punishment for her sister not wanting to become a warlord's weapon, forever remaining as nothing more but a hazy memory of someone to protect. And I'm gonna stop now because I will start crying again, istg–
(There is a verse where she lives, though that is part of a much larger AU that can basically be summed up as "completely self indulgent mishmash of ideas, everybody lives/nobody dies, sunshine and rainbows and peace on earth, unless you're a world leader, then RIP", or as we like to call it, the Ultimate AU, because we never came up with a better name :P But getting into it would take too long and there really isn't too much to explain since it lacks a cohesive plot and is more a bunch of family shenanigans thrown together, so... moving on)
In Kat's fic Lost and Found the memory of Lien-Hua is the driving force behind all of P'Li's decisions, and she constantly blames herself for not having been able to save her (despite the fact she was a child herself, no older than 13), right up until the very end where she.. doesn't really get closure, per se, but is able to let Lien go, in the scene which I have affectionately dubbed "F.C. Yee owes Kat major royalties for this one, holy hell" #ifyouknowyouknow. But also Lien is a point of some interpersonal conflict since no one else can quite relate to P'Li in this case. Ming-Hua (while not present in LaF) is an only child, Zaheer is the youngest of three and was never close with his sisters, and Ghazan... well, his sister is two separate cans of worms depending on whether you're talking about Haya or Zada. Some pretty interesting stuff overall, really scratches my soft spot for family related dealings in fics, and I can't believe I just realised that P'Li's the only non-youngest child in the RL foursome, huh. It's oddly fitting, in a way, at least in my opinion
Oh, and also, Midori is a reincarnation of Lien-Hua :)

My Papa, My Stardust Chapter 4
Tumblr media
Previous Chapter // AO3
Well, hello there.
It's been, *checks watch* , more than five years since I've updated this story. There was a whole pandemic shoved in the middle of that gap, and I didn't even cram some of this story into lockdown. Cassian Andor has gotten his own show since then! (I liked Andor, honestly, but that canon didn't exist when I wrote this story and, obviously, I have a general disregard for canon anyway. So, we will pay little if not no respect to that show in this fic.
I come with no explanation, only that I got a new computer and in the process of switching over some files from the old to the new, I found the 50k unedited words I once wrote for NaNoWriMo and, well, it turns out continuing an idea you've already drafted is a lot easier than writing from scratch. I hope you enjoy the continuation!
Hyperspace, 5 BBY
“Do organics ever consider how much they miss out on while they sleep?”
Cassian wished he was unfamiliar with such a non sequitur from his droid, especially within the first hour he was awake. Especially when woken up aboard his U-Wing, which did nothing to inspire restful sleep. “Did you run into any Imperial patrols?”
“No,” Kaytuesso answered, turning a dial on the control panel, “But you may want to hear this.”
An Imperial broadcast crackled over the speakers. Cassian hated hearing them, but they generally provided good intel. Even if all news was thoroughly coated in propaganda before being released to the public, nuggets of the truth (or at least leads that needed to be investigated) came through.
A crisp, matter-of-fact announcer boomed out over the broadcast. “ .... are happy to announce the galactic terrorist known by the name Saw Gerrera has, at long last, been captured by the Empire. ”
Cassian’s eyes went wide. He attended several council meetings (always quiet, always observing) over the span of time Gerrera still considered himself a part of the Rebel Alliance. He had never spoken to the man, but Gerrera’s presence spoke for itself in any room he entered.
“How long has this been playing?”
The droid gave its best approximation of a shrug. “Half an hour. The same message has played repeatedly without variation.”
Half an hour. The news was still fresh then. Of all the times to be away from Rebel Intelligence…
“His forces have sown seeds of chaos in every planet they have touched, taken countless lives of Imperial citizens and caused too many to live in fear. No more shall the galaxy live in fear of this terrorist. His execution shall be broadcasted live, tomorrow…”
Saw Gerrera hadn’t been a member of the Alliance for a long time, Cassian knew. By some definitions, he was never a member at all, merely a nuisance in the side of the Alliance. Still, Gerrera stood as a symbol of rebellion and freedom for many. And for Cassian, he often made recruitment easier. After seeing the extreme lengths Gerrera took to fight the Empire, the Alliance seemed tame by comparison, and Cassian had little trouble convincing young and hopeful recruits their rebellious spirits would better serve the Alliance.
But watching the galaxy’s best known rebel be put to death would be a loss the Alliance could afford, ally or not.
“Has headquarters been in contact about this?” Cassian asked the droid, pulling open message channels on his datapad. Draven rarely sent messages while Cassian was in open space, worried about the chance of the message being intercepted, but such an important and public event would surely warrant something.
“We are already returning to base,” Kay answered, “Headquarters would likely not change our orders before we arrive.”
Kay was correct, Cassian discovered quickly. An unlabeled message sat unread in Cassian’s datapad, containing only a sensational headline about Gerrera’s capture. Draven had not added any additional instructions, no plan for a rescue or new coordinates to chart. Proceed as planned, the unvoiced orders said.
The droid glanced towards Cassian. “Should I alter our course?”
“No,” Cassian sighed. “Remain on course for Dantooine.”
Dantooine, 5 BBY
Davitis Draven did not support the rescue mission sent after Saw Gerrera. As far as the general was concerned, Gerrera was a hindrance to the Rebellion rather than an aide to it. Gerrera embodied the horror stories good Imperial mothers told their children at night; his profile decorated target boards at Imperial academies.
More personally, Gerrera caused him only headaches, but Draven was skilled at keeping his personal opinions concealed. So, despite his personal misgivings on the matter, Draven sat with other members of the Alliance brass, eyes glued to the holo portraying Gerrera’s supposed execution and subsequent rescue. Whether the partisan leader was returned to the Alliance in one piece fell somewhere down Draven’s personal hierarchy; keeping the remaining members, and their current base, secret and away from the probing eyes of the Empire, remained the most important.
Somewhere in the middle fell his curiosity of the Imperial scientist Galen Erso. The man was nothing short of a recluse -- nothing highly unusual compared to the scientists Draven had the opportunity to meet over the years, but still worthy of a study nonetheless. Erso’s name floated through intelligence files since the days of the Republic: a name always on the edge of a breakthrough, but never creating something noteworthy enough to become a household name.
Still, this whole ordeal with the scientist’s daughter appearing side by side with one of the galaxy’s fiercest freedom fighters piqued Draven’s interest -- as did the sight of the young woman flashing past the holo clothed as an Imperial officer. Gerrera was too paranoid for an Imperial spy to survive in his ranks for long, but other possible backstories for the girl seemed just as improbable.
Maybe he should ask Andor’s droid what the most likely scenario was. Force knows it would love the opportunity to tell him.
“Did you see the girl?” Draven asked Captain Andor. The captain had barely returned him a recruiting run in time to watch the execution live. With Gerrera aboard Idryssa Barruck’s ship and safely out of the atmosphere, Draven began planning his next steps forward. Let the X-Wings and ground troops remain in charge of maintaining the safety of the rebel base and ensuring Gerrera’s rescue mission wasn’t followed; Rebel Intelligence would be planning how to manipulate this brief show of power to their advantage.
“Galen Erso’s daughter?” The captain fell in line with Draven as he continued out of the war room. “I don’t believe she looked up during the entire ceremony. She’s been with Gerrera’s cadre for years.”
“But still strongly tied to the Imperials.” Draven lowered his voice before continuing. “I’m not sure what new arrangement will happen with Gerrera, but I need the info he has on that woman immediately.” She would either be a future asset to be exploited or a leak the Alliance would never be able to fill. Either way, Andor would be an excellent agent to follow up on the situation.
Captain Andor nodded, glancing towards the flow of traffic slowly returning to their original routines now that the spectacle of the day had ended.
“Get some rest, Captain Andor,” Draven ordered. The man had neither rest nor food between landing and watching the would-be execution. Likely his droid had received more care than he had in the meantime. “Dismissed.”
Eadu, 5 BBY
Rain had never tasted so sweet on Jyn’s skin.
She stepped out of the transport shuttle, flanked by two Imperial guards, and onto Eadu Flight Station’s tarmac. Releasing a shuddering breath, Jyn tilted her face towards the rain. Her hands were still bound, so she couldn’t wipe the water around, only inhale the sensation of the rivets running down, down her face. It felt cleansing to her soul.
Memories of Mama wandered across Jyn’s mind. Escaping the city planet of Coruscant and reconnecting with nature — with the Force — was Mama’s favorite thing. How many times had Jyn seen her mother do exactly this, the first time she was released from the prison of the city? Thinking of her made Jyn feel calmer as she escaped her most recent prison — only to walk into a newer one.
Her father waited at the end of the tarmac, taking shelter from the rain under the awning of the building. The guards nudged her towards him with rifles to her back, their touches more gentle than Jyn expected. Much to Jyn’s relief, Krennic was nowhere to be seen.
“Father,” Jyn greeted when she reached him. She ignored his flinch at her cold tone. “It’s been so long.”
“Jyn.” When he spoke, he only sounded exasperated. He still expects you to be a baby , Jyn reminded herself. He still hasn’t learned you’ve grown up. (She thought the punch to the jaw might be enough, but apparently whatever he’d learned of her then had faded along with that bruise.) He gestured at the stuncuffs around Jyn’s wrists, requesting one of the guards remove them. “Come with me. Let me show you the facility.”
“Will this prison cell come with more reliable lights than the last one?”
When Galen’s steps faltered with surprise at her words, Jyn found satisfaction in it.
    “What do you mean?”
“The wiring was surprisingly faulty for an Imperial building on Coruscant,” Jyn explained. Based on her tone, the rain outside would have been just as interesting of a topic. “It would flicker out for minutes or hours at a time. What’s the point of having world class technicians if they can’t keep the electricity working for your prisoners?”
As for the hours when the lights were on… Jyn would save that topic for another day.
“That shouldn’t have happened.” Galen reached for her arm, but Jyn sidestepped him, bumping into one of the guards. Her father stopped, his face serious. The traffic in the hallway was too crowded to stop here, pilots and ‘troopers and men whose uniforms matched her father’s shuffled both directions, yet none of them seemed bothered to step about the group, at least not when they saw who they were stepping around. “I was told…”
Worry or anger or whatever emotion had filled his eyes at her announcement vanished, and his eyes once again seemed distant as he swallowed. “Never mind that now. An unfortunate situation, but I’m sure the director did the best he could. You’re here now and that’s what really matters.”
“Why am I here?” Jyn asked. No one had given her any information since they’d pulled open her cell door. (The bright light from the adjoining room blinded her for a moment; the Death Troopers only seemed more intimidating, more massive among the shocking outline.) The Imperial uniform she’d worn to Saw’s execution was shoved into her hands — the guards hadn’t given her any semblance of privacy as she’d changed at gun point — and then she’d been ushered into a shuttle. She’d been in hyperspace for hours, her left hand cuffed to the wall of the ship, without anyone speaking to her.) Her father, at the very least, should answer any pressing questions she had.
“You’re here to assist me in my project, Jyn, but you shouldn’t need to worry about that tonight. You’ve had a long journey, and rest seems more important right now. I’ll give you a quick tour of the facility, but you don’t need to worry about the work until after you’ve rested.”
Because sleep will come so easily to me here.
Bright fluorescent lights illuminated each hallway, much like the building Jyn had been kept in on Coruscant. Based on the security checkpoints — some requiring her father’s keycard, which Jyn could steal, but others requiring biometric identification, which would be much harder to fake — this facility had been designed for the Empire’s use, where Jyn’s holding cell on Coruscant’s simple locks and lack of proper jail cells suggested it had been converted post the Clone Wars, or possibly more recently.
Her father acted as a tour guide as they walked, indicating the mess hall and several corridors of barracks for the enlisted men (“You’ll stay closer to the labs, with the rest of the science officers,” he explained and Jyn balked at the thought of being addressed as an officer on a daily basis). Finally, he came to the main lab, pressing his thumb against the keypad outside the door.
“This,” he said as the door slid open with a whoosh. “is where you’ll find me.”
Lights flickered on one row at a time, and Jyn took a moment to examine the lab. The room looked much as Jyn remembered his laboratory on Coruscant. Her memories from that time faded over time, but stepping into such a familiar environment sharpened them. Datapads littered countertops, and holoprojectors, turned off for the end of the day, sat, ready to display her father’s project whenever required. The spectrometer Jyn recognized, but many machines were unfamiliar to her. If her father was telling her the truth and she was to join in on his project, she assumed she’d soon learn to operate them.
“Krennic showed me some of your coding work,” her father said as Jyn wandered inside the lab. He waited by the door, patient yet expectant. Was he curious what her reaction to the facility would be? Looking for her approval? “I was impressed. Saw must have taught you well.”
So, he was going to mention Saw. Part of Jyn wondered if he would simply ignore the past eight years, continue as if they had never left each other. “Saw taught me many things,” she said. “Most importantly, he taught me how to survive.”
“And for that I’m very grateful. You’ll need those skills here, Jyn.”
“I don’t believe the Imperials are going to hand me a blaster.” But what she wouldn’t give for one right now — a blaster, her truncheons, the knives they stripped off when she was captured.
“I’m not talking about physical strength.” Galen walked along the opposite side of the counter Jyn paced, keeping even with her but still enough distance between them. “I’m talking about the will to survive. When you were injured or you were hungry or you were tired, Saw taught you to keep going. This place, Jyn,” he motioned around him, “this place is very, very different than what you’re used to. I don’t need to tell you that. You’ll be well fed and have the best medical care the Empire can offer you, but, Jyn —'' he caught her eye before he continued, ensured she was listening “ — Jyn, this place will make you tired, and part of you will be hungry. Part of you, perhaps, will feel injured in ways that bacta could never heal. That’s when you’ll need what Saw taught you.”
Jyn stared at her father after his unexpected speech. He’s lying , part of her brain yelled at her, he wants you to trust him and would say anything to earn it.
Listen to him , another part urged. Listen to your Papa. He’s always loved you, he’s always cared for you.
Both halves sounded like liars to Jyn. She stayed quiet rather than responding to her father.
He seemed to understand her silence. Sighing, he gestured to the door again. “I’ll show you to your room, Jyn.”
( Her father wouldn’t be delivering her to a cell , reminded herself. He wouldn’t be delivering her to a cell. )
Down another hallway, making a left and then a right turn. No distinguishing marks separated one hallway from another; there were no windows to orient Jyn to the outside world and no markers pointing from one destination to the next. With a jolt of panic, Jyn realized she had lost count of the path she’d taken to get from the hanger to the lab. Was that what her father intended, when he showed her the lab? To disorientate her enough that she would never be able to find her way out of the lab?
It wouldn’t matter , her mind snorted. The only way off this planet is by diving off one of those cliffs.
Her father made one last turn and stopped outside a door, as nondescript as the one next to it. Waving his keycard in front of the pad, the door slid open to reveal a room, similar to the one Jyn slept in with Saw on Wrea. A bed was shoved against one wall, a desk and a small wardrobe shoved against the opposite one. No windows, like the rest of the facility. It glowed white where Jyn’s quarters with Saw were muted by earthy tones, but it was similar enough to calm Jyn’s anxious mind.
He motioned her into the room, but didn’t follow her in. “This is only your space, Jyn. Until you’re assigned a keycard, only mine will open it. I’ll remove that privilege as soon as you have access.”
Gently, Jyn ran her fingers over the pillow case and sat on the mattress. Firm, solid, cleaned recently. Better quality than many beds Jyn had slept in over the years.
“It’s fairly standard.” Her father cleared his throat. “I didn’t know what to put in it for you. But there is one thing for you. Open the top drawer.” He pointed at the desk across from the bed. Curiosity won over Jyn as she did as he said. Inside, a code replicator sat, a newer model than Saw had gifted her.
“You can’t win me over with gifts,” Jyn muttered under her breath.
“I don’t expect to, Jyn, only to give you something I thought you’d enjoy.”
She stayed silent, fingering the code replicator.
“I’ll leave you for the night, then.” He stepped back into the hallway. “The door will be unlocked, Jyn. You’re welcome to leave as you please.”
Jyn snorted. “I’m welcome to wander the halls of an Imperial facility, you mean. This isn’t freedom.”
“I didn’t say it was freedom.”
    “No, you said —”
“Either you are to live here,” Galen snapped, “or you return to the cell from which you just left, Jyn.” He sucked in a ragged breath, pausing to rub at his temples. “I don’t mean to shout, but your options are limited. I’ve done the best I can.”
“You’ve done the best you can?” Jyn sneered. “My mother’s dead, you’re building Force-knows what for the Empire, and the man who raised me was nearly executed in front of me. Forgive me if I don’t trust your track record.”
Galen stayed silent for so long Jyn thought he wouldn’t answer, simply walk out the door and lock it behind him. Instead, he stayed, dropping his hand from the keypad and looking back at Jyn. His eyes were heavy. Dark bags hung under them. Had those been there since Jyn met him on Coruscant? Had they been there since Mama died?
“I haven’t been given the best options.” He turned back to the door, but spoke once more. “I can’t dictate what you believe, Jyn, but know I have always done my best to protect you.”
Beneath the layers of anger and hurt boiling in her chest, Jyn heard the voice again. Its voice was smaller than a bogling, but still persistent, shouting its same message as earlier. He loves you. He wants to keep you safe. Listen to him.
The voice wanted to believe her father.
Galen left without asking if she understood — a small mercy, because Jyn knew that she didn’t, wasn’t sure she could ever understand what her father was doing.
Jyn never learned how her father convinced Krennic to allow her, not only out of the cramped cell she called home for two weeks, but into the lab where he works. A spiteful voice inside her head tells her not to ask. After all, if she never knows what he did; she’ll never have to be thankful for it.
Get a good night's rest, her father had told her, so that she would be bright eyed and bushy tailed in the morning to do the Empire’s bidding.
Eadu Flight Station had become her home, Jyn couldn’t deny that. She could, however, prevent it from becoming part of her identity.
Galen Erso’s blood and Imperial connections ran through her veins, but that didn’t stop Saw Gerrera’s teachings from flowing through her heart and her mind.
She would cooperate — she didn’t have many options if she wanted to stay alive. She would not, under any circumstances, help the Empire move forward with its project. (She didn’t even know the details of the project yet, but it wouldn’t matter — It benefited the Empire, and that was enough for Jyn to know she wanted nothing to do with it.)
The matter was set to rest, but Jyn wasn’t. Blame it on Saw’s teaching or her general distrust of humans, but turning off the lights and falling asleep was going to be impossible for Jyn. Even with the locked door no one could access but her father (and she had no reason to believe he would lie, but she had no reason to trust him either), without a weapon in her hand and nowhere to run if threatened, Jyn couldn’t calm her mind well enough to sleep.
Instead, she paced. Relentlessly and endlessly, mapping out the each length of her room, measuring by her footsteps. She took stock of the contents littering the room. (Nothing more exciting than what she had previously noticed: a bed with clean linens, a desk with drawers empty except for the code replicator her father gifted to her, and a wardrobe that held two sets of Imperial uniforms identical to the ones she wore now and some set of looser, relaxed clothes obviously meant for sleeping.) Jyn spotted no holocams in the corners of the room or microphones in her mattress, though without a knife to cut it open, she couldn’t be certain.
With no chrono ticking the hours away and no way to see the sun of the system (though, come to think of it, with the rain Eadu received, would she be able to see the system’s sun, even with a window?), the passage of time seemed almost surreal. Jyn’s eyelids drooped; too much of her sleep recently had been induced by chemicals or a Stormtrooper’s anger rather than her need to fall asleep.
Whatever I do, I do it to protect you.
I have always done my best to protect you.
Her father’s words rang in her head on endless loops. She begged her mind to conjure up any other words, any other voice: the last words her mother spoke to her, Saw’s advice upon the first time she went into battle, Codo’s laugh that she always found so annoying. At this point, Jyn would rather listen to a speech given by the Emperor himself rather than hearing her father’s voice.
Either that, or for her father to return to the room.
I don’t need your protection! Jyn would scream at him if he were here. What has your protection ever gotten me? You sent me to Saw. You let my mother die. If it weren’t for you, Saw would have taken me with him.
The last, bitter truth was the worst realization Jyn had come to during her stay in the Imerpial torture facility on Coruscant. Her connection to her father became the deciding factor in Saw’s abandonment of her. If she wasn’t the daughter of an Imperial officer, if she didn’t have such obvious connections in the wrong places, if it weren’t for her last name, Saw would have turned around, would have reached for her hand and pulled her along out of the chamber and into safety. The Alliance would take them in and they’d learn to play by their diplomatic rules.
But instead, she found herself stuck in an Imperial facility with nothing but white walls and unfriendly forces surrounding her.
Distracted fingers played at the edges of the code replicator. Its presence on the desk mocked her, reminding her of the one she carried aboard Saw’s ship to Tamsye Prime, the one she had used since she first came to Saw’s cadre. She had no purpose for it here, not unless the Imperials wanted to observe her skills and learn how to best those who impersonated their codes.
With a grunt of frustration, Jyn slammed the code replicator against the edge of the desk, again and again, until the screen cracked in two. (Again she slammed it, simply to relieve the frustration of the last few days.) The machine was thicker than a datapad and harder to manipulate, but using the edge of the desk for leverage, she bent the screen in two, until the cracked transparisteel pieces broke free of their bindings. She dug her fingers under the pieces — if only her nails were longer, perhaps they would have better leverage, perhaps her fingers wouldn’t be covered with blood by the end of this — and plied them away.
The process took several minutes of maneuvering, but at least Jyn emerged with a shard of transparisteel gripped in her hand. Blood coated the edges of her fingers and bubbled over onto her palm, but despite that Jyn smiled.
She didn’t need her father’s protection. Jyn would listen to her father exactly once — “You’ll need what Saw taught you” — and keep herself safe.
Her father made no move to comment on her bloody hands or the broken code replicator when he woke her the next morning.
(Woke, perhaps, was the wrong term. Jyn had sat for the entire evening, forcing her eyelids to stay open. Her father made no comment on the dark circles under her eyes, either.)
“The lab,” Galen explained as he walked into the room, despite its stop on his tour not twelve hours previous. “You’ll be joining me here everyday. I don’t suppose you’ll need a wake up call every morning, but… Well, I wanted to help you get acquainted with the routine.”
“I don’t need an escort then?” Jyn raised a challenging eyebrow at him. Galen merely sighed in response.
“You don’t need an escort or a chaperone, Jyn. You’ll have a job to do every day, but once it’s completed, the facility is yours to explore and utilize. If there’s a project you want to explore, perhaps, you’d be free to do so. There are training grounds where you’d be more than welcome as well, if you wanted to keep up your physical strength.”
Jyn almost smiled at that one. The idea of finding an Imperial sparring partner — an off duty ‘trooper she could beat bloody once in a while, perhaps — sounded entirely ideal.
“I just figured…” Galen cleared his throat. “I figured working alongside me would help your transition. And, well, you’ve proven yourself adept at coding. You’ll be very useful to Tino.”
    “Tino?”
Tino turned out to be another member of her father’s team of engineers, all of whom she was introduced to shortly. Tino Vic, a man a decade Jyn’s senior from Naboo, was their programming specialist and more than happy to welcome Jyn into their ranks, explaining their computer system and inquiring what programs she had used before. Jyn didn’t bother biting back the reminder that she had been a member of a renegade rebel group, so she wasn’t exposed to the latest Imperial technology. He merely laughed in response — not at all what Jyn was expecting — and assured her they’d get her up to speed in no time.
Criz Iblik kept mainly to himself, Galen assured her, so she shouldn’t be offended by the way he brushed off her introduction. Nor should she mind the attention she received from Lucian Judd, the son of a wealthy banker on Scipio.
“I don’t think he’s ever been told no in his life,” Galen murmured, leaning closer to Jyn’s ear as if gossiping together. She yanked backward, glaring, but he merely took her negative reaction in stride. “I believe meeting you might be highly beneficial to him.”
That only left Jerred Anholts and Oltach Aske, who both greeted her with a smile. When she didn’t warm to their social pleasantries, Jerred shrugged and returned to his work, but Oltach stared at her a moment longer, a fond smile on his face as he watched her.
“What?” Jyn snapped when his attention lasted a moment too long.
“I’m sorry,” he said. “It’s just… You look so much like Lyra.”
Jyn’s brain short circuited at the sound of her mother’s name. What would this man know of her mother?
“Ah.” The scientist rubbed the back of his neck, and his smile shifted slightly awkwardly. “I’m sorry, I thought your father might have told you. I’ve known your family for years. Galen, Director Krennic and I went to the Republic Future’s Program together, so I knew your mother fairly well on Coruscant.” He pointed towards Jyn scowl. “She would get that same look on her face whenever something displeased her.”
Jyn hurried back to her father’s side. Talk of her mother only made her insides go fuzzy and red tinge her vision, and exposing weakness to these Imperials was the last thing she needed to do.
“You still haven’t told me,” she said once she reached her father. At his quizzical glance, she rephrased. “What exactly the research is.”
“Ah,” her father said and then hesitated for a moment. “Tell me, Jyn, what does Saw know about my research? I’ve had a strong suspicion he’s been following it for years.”
“Whatever he knows, I wouldn’t tell you,” Jyn growled. Another interrogation? Days of torture and the Imperial’s new tactic was to simply have her father ask her? If she were going to break at easily, she wouldn’t have withstood their torture for days.
Galen held up his hands in surrender. “Never mind what Saw knows. What do you remember, from our days on Coruscant?”
“Crystals,” Jyn said, figuring that was basic enough. “You worked with crystals.”
“I did,” Galen nodded. “Speaking of, I believe this belongs to you.”
He patted several pockets of his Imperial uniform. (He was always so forgetful, but Jyn had forgotten until this moment. Mama used to follow behind him to pick up anything he’d left behind before they’d leave their home on Coruscant. “He’s just thinking of too many things at once,” she explained to a young Jyn, so many years ago. “The mundane things slip through his fingers quite easily.”) His face lit up, a small “Oh” on his lips, as he reached into one pocket and emerged with her mother’s kyber pendant.
A sigh of relief escaped Jyn, seeing it in her father’s outstretched palm. When she’d woken up without it on Coruscant, gone with the rest of her clothing, she thought it would be gone forever. Simply another piece of her identity swallowed up by the Empire.
“Your mother gave it to you?” Galen asked, quiet and slower than he’d spoken before. Jyn nodded. “I wondered why she didn’t have it when she died.”
The scowl pulled at her lips again. What did he want from her? A shared moment of pain and grief over her mother’s death? He wouldn’t get it, not here, in the heart of all she despised and ran away from. Jyn barely felt worthy to think of her mother while wearing the uniform she hated so much.
Galen cleared his throat. “If she wanted you to have it, then you should keep it, Jyn. That’s your part of her.”
“I don’t want it,” Jyn said. “Not here.”
It didn’t belong, smothered under an Imperial uniform. Galen, at least, seemed to understand.
“I’ll keep it here.” He opened the top draw of his desk, laying it among a clutter of notes and various instruments. “Any time you want it, Jyn, it’ll be here waiting for you.”
“You’re stalling,” Jyn accused, desperate to change the topic. “You haven’t told me about the research.”
He nodded and flicked several switches on the tabletop in front of him. A diagram flickered to life above the table, green lines curving to shape some massive object, round like a moon with one giant crater in its side. Whatever it was supposed to be, Jyn couldn’t understand.
“I don’t know what this is.”
“That’s because,” Galen explained, “there’s nothing else like this in the entire galaxy.” He stood and walked around the diagram, as if he were examining it for the first time as well. “This will be the Empire’s newest battle station, more powerful than anything the galaxy has ever seen before.”
“Don’t skimp on the details,” Lucian, the over arrogant young scientist, snickered from the side. “Tell her about the weapon, Doc.”
“Weapon?” Jyn shot her father a piercing glare. “What weapon?”
“It’s laser beam.” He pointed towards the dent in its upper hemisphere, steadfastly refusing to meet her eyes. “It’s being powered by kyber crystals. It should be quite powerful. Yet to be tested, of course, but our research suggests it can — and Orson dearly hopes it will — have the power to break apart a planet’s core.”
Cold seeped through her chest as the meaning of her father’s words sunk in.
“You could destroy planets with this weapon.” Her voice fell flat, emotionless as the enormity of what he was describing sunk in. “Entire worlds.”
“Now, now, my dear,” Jerred Anholt shook his head at her. “It’s merely a scare tactic. The Empire has no need to use it. The battle station will be nothing more than a symbol of power throughout the galaxy.” He chuckled to himself. “Though I daresay it might scare those pesky rebels a bit, wouldn’t it?”
“Much more work needs to be done,” Galen hurried to say, as if he sensed the snarky comment about pesky rebels on Jyn’s lips. “It won’t be operational for years to come.”
Jyn longed for a connection to Saw, to the Alliance, even to the useless bastards of Imperial Senate. Someone had to be informed about the atrocity these engineers had created.
Her father met her icy glare for the first time since bringing up the diagram, his eyes lined with  a silent plea, as if he was asking Jyn to understand. She refused to stay in the room with these plans — or with the man who’d created them — any longer. Turning on her heel, Jyn slammed open the door to the hallway.
The last thing she heard was a low whistle coming from Judd. “A bit of a temper on that one, huh?”

A few of the various iterations of Suiren in our Multiverse of Madness and the different things she is into, comprised into one (not so) neat list for my beloved @katkastrofa as part 1 of her birthday present (intended to be used as reference for a certain something 🤭👀 and also bc she said please when she reblogged my earlier post and who am I to say no to that? :D)
(Alternatively: Tumblr please don’t nerf me I beg you)
Under the cut for comfort reasons :’)
SotRL/post-SotRL – At first uses sex as an outlet for her frustrations, wanting it fast, rough and with as little feelings involved as possible. Merciless biter, loves attention on her tits, has a raging praise kink but would rather die than admit it. Touch her hair and you die (at first. After some time she’s okay with it being stroked or brushed out of the way, especially while she’s sucking Kuvira off). Generally rather sensitive and vocal so is very fun to play with, but she doesn’t let herself lean into it fully, and thus is extremely unaware of her submissive side. After she starts healing from her trauma and trusting Kuvira more, on the other hand… 🤭 She is still very much capable of domming or topping of Kuvira so desires, but for the most part she can’t get enough of letting herself be guided into the subspace and giving her brain a little break, willing handing Kuvira the control and trusting that she will be taken good care of. Discovers her oral fixation and leans into the praise kink, as well as riding Kuvira’s strap, having her tits fucked, imagining Kuvira being able to actually come down her throat or inside her, general BDSM stuff, bondage, light petplay, dehumanisation, ownership and edging. So, so much edging 🤤. It gets to a point when she’s not even too keen on coming at all, not wanting the experience to end. But she does love her orgasms, especially when she’s nice and full, so sooner or later she will end up begging for it anyway :D I very much might have missed something, but in my defence, there really is a lot to her
UtOS – Somehow, the complete opposite to SotRL Suiren. Extremely dominant, loves being in control and isn’t too fond of giving it up. Essentially, power bottom to Kuvira’s service top, though she does also love having Kuvira writhe on her water tendrils. Can and will use her bloodbending to her advantage once she finds out Kuvira likes being overstimulated, and heavily leans into the possessiveness kink by calling Kuvira hers as often as possible. Drops orders and light degradation as easily as breathing, and while she does enjoy being praised, it’s to a much, much lesser degree than her SotRL counterpart. Less being called a good girl and more being thanked for giving it to Kuvira so well. A bit of a sadist and somehow even more of a biter than usual. All in all… Grandma Ikiaq is a bad influence 😁
Ultimate AU – Looks like the dominance depends on the bloodbending rather than not being raised by Haya, because we’re back to something more closely resembling SotRL. Except here, Suiren is an impossible tease. Every Suiren knows full well that she’s attractive, but this is the only one who flaunts it quite as openly, wearing almost exclusively low cut dresses, putting an extra sway in her hips as she walks, always squinting at Kuvira in that seductive way… all that good stuff. And as a result of being a tease, she’s also one hell of a brat just begging to be tamed. She’s known nothing but freedom her whole life, so there’s little quite as enticing as the idea of having control forcibly taken from her. She likes being restrained after Kuvira gets sick of being teased and snaps, and fucked as roughly and thoroughly as possible. Most likely is incredible at giving tit fucks while her dress is still mostly on, just with her tits popped out. Is okay with having her hair pulled as long as it’s done lightly. The praise kink also isn’t that prominent, she’s much more into soft cuddles – in which Kuvira is *not allowed* to move as if a cat had fallen asleep in her lap – as a form of aftercare
MoA – I don’t have much on her bc this AU is rather underdeveloped, but she’s essentially pre-discovery-of-submissiveness SotRL Suiren, but even more repressed because the load she carried for her entire life was doubled and having to dispose of her abuser’s body after she was killed by her 15yo sister did absolute fucking wonders for her mental state. A bit more on the controlling side, preferring to take charge. Very into angry sex bordering on hatefucking, will ride Kuvira like her life depends on it to the point of hurt. Insults and death threats take the place of normal well adjusted flirting. Is nowhere near ready to be indulged in her even more well hidden praise kink, would probably claw Kuvira’s eyes out if she ever tried. Perhaps she should get a taste of Kuvira’s newly formed spirit cock and maybe she’ll calm down
Sacrifice AU – Easily the most vanilla out of all her counterparts. After her near death experience she’s extremely averse to all manners of being restrained, whether with metal cuffs or simply being held down. Her wrists are particularly sensitive, never to be grabbed. She doesn’t like being manhandled in any way, she gets to pick the position, and she picks something that will allow her to be on top and not trapped under Kuvira. Prefers grinding or humping to anything being inside her, be it fingers or a cock. Still just as obsessed with having her tits sucked, but it has to be lighter, not enough to leave bruises. She doesn’t like seeing bruises on herself. Praise kink to the max, anything to drown out the voices always shouting obscenities at her. Only while being called beautiful and desirable as she rides out her orgasm, clinging to Kuvira like a lifeline, does she actually feel alive again
Small rarely talked about bonus, Avatar Suiren AU – Living as an all powerful being with not one but two Great Spirits residing inside her gets very tiring very easily. Luckily, a certain someone is always willing to help her mind to drift away and her to lose herself in pleasure for a few hours. A bit more into degradation than praise. In those moments, she isn’t the Avatar, the master of all four elements, saviour of the world, and the memories of lives that came before her as well as those annoying Spirit kites’ constant bickering all fade away. No, in those moments she is simply Suiren, Kuvira’s Suiren, her beloved good girl. And nothing else could possibly matter

warning: Horny Simon ig, your kitty kat coded on this one, there's smut at the end btw
M' thinkin bout a Simon Riley who's darling has cat mannerisms.
Simon's always found it ironic how you claim to be a dog person. Even going as far as to owning one while literally being the physically embodiment of a cat.
He thinks it's cute though, how you just plop yourself on his lap like it's yours it is. Stroking his pretty baby's back, amused at your satisfied moans. Other things he's observed about you were probably your lack of energy on almost everything. You'd rather sleep the day away, your eyes, down turned n' half lidded even as you convince him that your not tired.
Your feisty too, you like to bite. Giving him the most nonchalant look on the planet as if you hadn't just bit his bicep for no apparent reason. All in all, he appreciates how chill you are with most things. Hell, he doesn't even know if you give a shit about anything that goes around you, as long as it doesn't disturb your peace.
Simon calls you his, pretty kitty. Bratty to everyone, but not as much with him. But he's gotta admit how hot it is seeing you pliant, n' submissive.
"T'aww... pretty kitty. Y' lost all your bite, n'd your bark.." he laughs at you cause he's a meanie like that. Big arms wrapped around your neck as he fucks you in a headlock, all cause you got the zoomies. By zoomies I mean you got incredibly horny, n decided to suck his dick while he was asleep. S' not your fault he was hard >:(
He'll switch positions eventually, flipping you on your back, n' he's bullying his massive cock in you not a moment later. Puts you in a mating press cause he likes how you claw at his back when he drills himself in so deep, that he sees the outline of it in your stomach. Your sharp nails drawing thin red lines on Simon's back, and it fucks him up, reduced to just babbling "yea–yes. Jus' like that kitty. Jus' like that......mark me up. Fffuck.."
a/n: I was in a somewhat lazy mood when I wrote this, so meh. N e ways, hope u enjoyed this darlings! Take care of yourself always!
Yours, truly,
–dolly

during the holidays, it was tradition to participate in secret santa with the class. you reached into the basket, picking a folded piece of paper with one of your classmate’s name on it. you hoped it was katsuki’s name, but unfortunately it wasn’t. it was mina’s name on the paper, and while you absolutely adore her you had hope it would’ve been him.
you noticed denki handing the basket to katsuki to grab a paper. he unfolded it and hid in his pocket, you couldn’t help but wonder who’s name was on his paper. you had a crush on katsuki for a few months now and when your friends began teasing the both of you, it lead to you slowly getting to know another. you both grew a close bond, causing your crush on him to grow more and more. that same night, you were walking to your dorm when you noticed katsuki opening his door, leaving it slightly open. it was a sign for you to come in, a common thing the two of you do when you wanna talk to each other.
you knock twice before you opened the door, spotting the blonde cleaning his desk. “hey kats, whatcha doing?” you walked up behind him, catching him off guard. he jumped to the sudden question, putting whatever was on his desk away. “nothin, nun of yer’ business.” he closed his drawer, turning around to look at you. “didn’t look like nothing to me, was that for your secret santa?” you teased him, causing him to roll his eyes and sit on his bed. you followed, sitting beside him. “tch, no. i’m not doin’ that.” he spat out. you knew katsuki wasn’t the brightest or most spirited person, but you had hope he would’ve participated if your name was on his paper. guess not.
the next day, you asked katsuki to accompany you to go shopping. you wanted to grab a few things for yourself, but also for mina. you instantly knew what to get her, a gift she’d happily accept. katsuki followed you around like a pup, putting on an act as if he didn’t enjoy it.
you stumbled upon a store that had cute fashionable clothes that appeared to look like mina’s style. you grabbed a couple shirts and skirts and went upfront to pay. at the counter, there was a display of phone charms. you already had one but the color was wearing off and it was hanging on by a thread. you grabbed one of the phone charms to look at it closer, but ended up putting it back since you already have one. katsuki took a mental note of this, looking at your phone charm then looking at the new more detailed one. he knew you liked stuff like that, plus it was time for a new one. after a while, you both decided to head back to the dorms in order to prepare mina’s gift.
katsuki notices everything about you, your favorite coffee order, the way your perfume smells, whether you prefer gold or silver, your favorite flower, and your favorite season.
as christmas came by, your gift was nicely wrapped topped with nice lacy ribbon. you sat on the couch, waiting for secret santa to commence. you noticed katsuki was sitting across from you with his hands in his pockets, a slight angry pout on his face. when it was your turn, you grabbed your gift and walked over to mina. “merry christmas!” she took the gift in her hands, opening it excitedly. she squealed, “aw thank you soo much, yn! i love it!” she stood up from her seat to give you hug. you sat back down and waited for your gift.
after it was over, you realized you didn’t receive a gift this year. “oh, yn doesn’t have a gift? did someone forget?..” you thought to yourself, maybe someone had forgotten to get a gift, or forgotten to put your name in the basket. you went upstairs to your dorm, teary eyed at the fact that someone forgot about you.
you noticed katsuki’s door was slightly open again, you knocked twice before entering. katsuki was sitting on his bed, a gift basket beside him. he still had his typical angry pout on his face, but this time he looked nervous. “merry christmas”, he mumbled looking away from you. “kats? what is this?” you walked up to the basket, quickly noticing how it was filled with everything you love or recently mentioned to him. “ts for you, idiot. i was your secret santa.” you looked at him with tears in your eyes, giving him the biggest hug.
you felt so relieved to know that someone got you a gift, that katsuki had gotten you a gift. “thank you, kats.” you got off of him to look at the basket, you immediately noticed the phone charm. “did you seriously go back just to get this for me?” you picked it up, removing the old one to replace it. “tch, noticed yer old one was all worn out, thought it was time for a new one. yer welcome.” your heart jumped, you never realized how much he truly payed attention to you. katsuki had went out of his way to get everything for you, on top of that decorating it to your liking. “thank you kats.”
“yea whatever.” he mumbled.
christmas couldn’t have gotten any better.
sweet request from @teddi1423 ♡!
— sorry if i’m lagging on reqs, i’ve been so busy this whole week & will continue to be until next week ! i promise to publish soon !

𝐝𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐤𝐚𝐭𝐬𝐮𝐤𝐢𝐬 𝐞𝐲𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐫
Tumblr media
context: doing your bf Katsuki’s eyeliner (gender neutral reader)
warnings: none
character: Katsuki Bakugou from MHA
m.list
“Can I help you?” You ask, standing in front of the mirror, watching the blonde from the reflection. His arms crossed over his chest, as usual, and a frown visible between his brows.
“Your eyes look nice” he compliments, something that had gotten more and more common the longer you had gone out with him. Usually they were followed by an insult right after, but not this time.
“Want me to do yours too?” You wave the eyeliner in your hand, hoping your excitement could rub off on him as well and he wouldn’t just roll his eyes and leave. “I’ve done it on others before so if you’re worried I’ll mess up, don’t be”
“Oh yeah?” He quirks up an eyebrow, taking the liner from your fingers and opening the cap to inspect it closer. Going as far as smelling it. “Who’s eyeliner have you done before?”
“Oh you know” you take a step closer, hands behind your back and innocently looking up at him. “Just Momo, Mina, Tsuyu” you pause, trying to hide your smirk. “Izuku and Denki”
“Hah?” His eyes grow wider, fingers grabbing your wrist and pulling you along with him to his bed. Swearing and mumbling under his breath of how you should have done it on him first if you wanted to experiment, not two losers like them. Mentioning Izuku worked like a charm every, single, time.
Giggling, you sit down on his lap, feeling the muscles in his thighs flex a little under your weight. You brush some of his soft hairs away from his forehead and use a hair clip to keep them in place. His back was comfortably resting against the headboard, letting you do whatever you wanted to him. He loved moments like this, just the two of you enjoying each others company and not having to do anything special. He could lower his guard and relax for once. Your touch always seemed to calm him down as well, so having you secured in his arms only made his heart flutter more.
“Do you wanna try anything special?” Your voice brought him back to reality, blinking a few times to register what you had just asked him.
“Do whatever you want”
Humming to yourself, you tell him to close his eyes. But before you started your work, you took a couple of seconds just to admire his face. His soft cheeks you always loved to poke whenever his mouth was stuffed with food after a long day of hero work, his slightly chapped lips that always pressed against your forehead before drifting off to sleep, the tip of his nose that was always the victim to your quick kisses he said he hates (obviously a lie).
“You gonna do something or what?!” He blurted out, tired of the waiting. Squeezing your thigh to try and get your attention.
“So impatient” you mumble, placing one hand on his jaw to keep him in place as the other started to work on his left eye. Doing gentle strokes on his eyelid and under his eyes with the tip of the pencil. “Stop moving your eye”
“You’re the one touching it! I can’t do anything about it!” He immediately hissed back, eyebrows furrowed and only making the muscles in his face move more and almost mess up the liner.
You move your hand from his jaw over to his mouth, “just, shhh, I need to concentrate”
Easier said then done, because the next few minutes Katsuki made it impossible. Biting and licking your palm, squeezing your thighs out of the blue that made you jump, saying stupid things like ‘I’m going to sneeze’. He of course thought it was hilarious, didn’t need to see your face to know you had a frown he always found adorable.
“I’m hungry—”
“Kats!” You yell for the tenth time, letting out an annoyed sigh as the eyeliner was put on the bedside table. “I’m done, though it’s definitely some of my worst work” you say as Katsuki opens his eyes again, taking out his phone and using the camera as a mirror.
“Not half bad, but why’s one eye smeared?”
You don’t even say anything, just staring at him with a deadpan expression. Arms folded over your chest as your right eye twitches.
“Quit starin’ at me like that! You’re the one who poked my eyes—”
“Kacchan! Oh, Y/n you’re here too” Izuku opens the door to the dorm room, catching both of you off guard.
“Deku what did I tell you about not knocking?!” One second you’re on Katsuki’s lap, the next you’re thrown on the bed as the mentioned man stands up and walks angrily over to Izuku.
“I’m sorry, I- Kacchan, are you wearing eyeliner?” The green haired boys eyes widen, looking over Katsuki’s shoulder at you “Y/n I’ve always wanted to try some makeup to see if it would suit me, could you do my eyeliner too?” Izuku asks innocently, not realizing why all chaos broke lose after his request.
“You little minx! You told me you had done his eyeliner!” All of Katsuki’s attention was now focused on you, turning on his heel and taking slow steps to the bed. “Now I have this stupid shit all over my eyes for no reason! Get back here! Running is useless!”
You were already out of the room, running past Izuku as fast as you could. Katsuki’s shouting and your giggles filling the UA dorms.

𝑴𝑯𝑨 𝒃𝒐𝒚𝒔 and you fighting…
CHARACTERS )) katsuki bakugo, eijiro kirishima, shoto todoroki, izuku midoriya.
PLOT )) a headcanon of the boys seeing you fight.
A/N )) this purely based off my imagination! lil mina slander, todoroki getting down and overall comedic. feel like i should do a part 2 maybe, yall lemme know how yall feel bout this one :) requests are open and hope yall enjoy.
Tumblr media
[ 𝐊𝐀𝐓𝐒𝐔𝐊𝐈 ] bakugo heard you mention that this girl has been talking about you. explaining that she’s said things in the hallways and during canteen time. “stop focusing on stupid extras. it's not worth it.” was his response. when you hadn’t mentioned anything about her, he assumed the whole thing was over; boy was he wrong
… kats walked to your 5th period to escort you down to the cafe for lunch
… as he neared the classroom he heard commotion and saw a group forming in front of the door
… for some reason he had a unsettling feeling in his gut and you instantly popped in his mind
-> “get out the damn way extras!”
… pushing people out the way and threatening them he got into the room
… katsuki’s jaw slacked
… he saw you holding tsunotori poni by her horns while mackin her face in
… every punch connected with her face
… he was truly in shock and impressed
… the poor girl tried her hardest to fight you off but winning to no avail; only able to kick her legs
… the teacher, vlad, yelling for students to get away and breaking up the fight
… katsuki couldn’t help but feel a little proud and attracted to this anger that is always concealed from him
… you remind him of himself
-> “alrigh’, you could let ‘er go. you got ‘er”
… he pulls you away and carries you away in his arms
… vlad held the weak girl in his arms as her nose bled
-> “‘ND DON’T EVER SPEAK ABOUT ME AGAIN!”
… he chuckled
[ 𝐄𝐈𝐉𝐈𝐑𝐎 ] kirishima felt the shift in the energy when your fellow classmate, mina, decided to push up her on him KNOWING that’s your man. there’ve been times where she’s done and said things that you had to check her about and she “apologized”. “babe c’mon, don’t feed into it.” she was feeling particularly bold today tho when you checked her at the end of class.
… eijiro didn’t have enough time to react when the desks were shoved out the way and y’all squared up
… you charged at her
… not even giving him time to fully comprehend
… mina thought that she could keep testin you and not get put in place and you did that exactly
… you ate her up!
… dragging her across the floor and knocking her head in
-> “y/n stop!”
… eiji felt adrenaline course through his veins
… fear of you getting hurt, you getting in trouble, mina dying
… eijiro pulled you off of mina but you wouldn’t let her hair go
… you kicked her in her face and she screamed as aizawa and all might rushed to help her
-> “THAT’S WHY YOU KNOTTED!”
… eijiro pulled you out to the hallway
… he was gonna scold you but he could do anything but hold
you as you spilled your anger to him
… he smiles at you and winces when mina passes by being taken to the nurse
-> “ouch, she’s gonna need a little more than just ice”
… he’s gotta fighter on his hands
[ 𝐒𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎 ] todoroki is obviously to most things; if not, everything. the boy doesn’t seem to catch the girls who constantly are gagging over him. “oh, i’ve never noticed that.” oh and they see you, they know you! BUT OBVIOUSLY not enough. so during lunch, when two girls scroll over to you both and blatantly flirt with him and disrespect you– your boyfriend sees another side of you.
… poor sho never seen someone jump as fast
… your hands instantly connected with the girls face
… knocking the disrespect out her mouth and knocking her to the ground
… shoto sort of panicked when seeing you this angered and beating someone up
… people started to crowd which alerted teachers
… outta nowhere some guy tried to hurt
… shoto wasn’t havin’ it
… his body moved before his mind
… the guy punched sho in the face
… yeah. he saw red
-> “you’re weak.”
… while you stomped that girl in, sho beat that guy up
-> “TRY IT AGAIN!”
… in the end you both were sent to the principals office and reprimanded
… sitting in the chairs outside principal nezu’s office, you guys chatted
-> “he tried it but miserably failed.”
… y’all’s is a dangerous duo
[ 𝐈𝐙𝐔𝐊𝐔 ] midoriya fights all the time, heroically, many times alongside you even. but seeing you in a drama fight is something he doesn’t wanna see. so when you tell him you fighting this girl after school tomorrow he opposes your decision. “b-babe. maybe, not the best idea. please don’t.” you took heed of his words and let it go; till she snuck you.
… izuku was nowhere close when this happened
… denki and mineta were the ones that alerted him
… boy one for all’d his way downstairs
… so many thoughts circled his brain as neared the chaos
… he pushed around everyone and spotted you
-> “babe!”
… the girl under you was leaking from her eye
… you weren’t letting up
… he uses force to pull you two apart and pull you away
… you screamed at yelled to be let go
-> “SNEAKED AND GOT DROPPED!”
… poor izuku had to pull you to a whole other room
… he shook you out of your crazy state
… after izuku helped you to calm down, you explained what happened
… he was mad
… zu was ready to fight too
… but he knew a better way to get back
-> “i’m sorry for not being there but i think you got her bad.”
… the privileges of being all might’s predecessor

Tall!Reader who felt subconscious about her height until she met her sweet boyfriend.
Tall!Reader who Bakugou doesn’t allow her to go out unless she wear the heels she thought might make her “too” tall in.
“There’s no such damn thing, wear the damn heels or I’ll put them on you myself”
Tall!Reader who for the first time felt protected and cared for because her boyfriend knows how to act and treat her like a man.
Tall!Reader who no longer feels subconscious about her height because Bakugou’s masculinity isn’t challenged from her being taller than him.
He actually finds it very attractive and whenever you’re feeling down about it he refers to you as his Wonder Woman.
Tall!Reader who got lucky because her boyfriend lovessss to show her off.
“DYNAMIGHT DYNAMIGHT ! WE HEARD YOU HAVE A NEW ROMANCE ERUPTING IS THIS TRUE ??”
“HUH ?! OF COURSE IT’S TRUE, SHE’S OVER THERE DUMBASS” and he doesn’t hesitate to point in your direction as you’re getting photos taken.
You didn’t notice the storm of people rushing to you for questions.
“Y/N ! HOW DOES IT FEEL TO BE WITH THE PRO-HERO DYNAMIGHT”
“OH MY GOD THEY ARE DATING”
“Y/N WE LOVE YOU TOGETHER”
You were so overwhelmed with the cameras flashing and questions and screaming and-
You didn’t realize you were no longer on the ground until after opening your eyes and noticing the crowd of people screaming for you and Bakugou.
“Kats-“
He had picked you up bridal style and was rushing to get you two somewhere less chaotic.
“These are the consequences of having a pretty girlfriend huh ?”
And you just smiled.. you laid your head against him as he carried you and just admired him. He was perfect for you..
because he loved all of you.
@legallurker765 I hope you enjoyed this love, im always happy to be exclusive 💘

Your naga boyfriend simply loves the beach. Throughout the summer, you go to the seaside whenever you can. He loves lying in the sun, relaxing or showing off his beautiful scales. People often approach him, asking to touch him, but he politely declines and proudly announces he's taken.
But it's autumn now, and it's been cloudy for days. He is deeply affected by the lack of sunshine and seems almost depressed. "This is normal for all reptilians, I'm perfectly fine," he always says, and you believe him... but at the same time you really want to help him.
One Saturday, a perfect opportunity presents itself. You take your boyfriend by his hand and lead him outside.
"Where are we going?" he asks.
"It's a surprise," you say with a wink.
Within 2 hours, you stop your car next to your favourite beach. It is surprisingly warm with no wind or cloud in sight. Naga boyfriend is thrilled - he jumps on your back and coils his tail around your hips squeezing you happily. His snake tongue licks your cheek. "You are amazing!"
The beach was full of people enjoying the last warm days of the year, but it wasn't too hard finding an empty spot. You place your towels and lie down. With a big stretch and a happy smile, your beautiful boyfriend hisses from pleasure. The bright sunlight melts over you. But, unlike your boyfriend, you get too hot very quickly and go to take a swim. He is watching you from afar and you enjoy catching glances of his colourful scales reflecting the sunlight whenever he moves.
After cooling down, you get to your spot. "I'll just go quickly change and I'll be right back," you say. Your boyfriend hums something in response.
You find an empty changing room and enter, but as soon as you remove your wet trunks, someone enters the little wooden house. "Just a moment I—" but you're slammed against the wall. You can't move in the tiny room suddenly uncomfortably full.
A familiar hiss flutters around your ear. Something cold is around your leg and on your stomach. Your boyfriend is completely glued to you, hugging you with his tail and hands. "You didn't lock the door."
"What are you doing? W-what if someone sees?" There is panic in your voice.
He roughly turns you around and kisses you. "Who cares," he murmurs. "It's so hot. So nice. And you are so fucking delicious." His eyes are unusually glossy and his words are slightly slurred. You recognize the symptoms - the sudden temperature spike must've messed with his brain a bit.
He slides down your stomach, licking you. "I love your skin and your body hair," he says while kissing your happy trail. With a lustful hiss, he takes your dick into his mouth. His flexible tongue feels so good around your shaft, moving up and down and paying really good attention to the tip. He moans while coiling himself around you tighter and tighter.
"Wait," you pant staring at the tiny window just above your head.
"I don't care about your human modesty," he snaps. "I will fuck you now. If someone wants to watch, let them watch."
You can't fight with him, not when he is licking your cock like a lollipop. You will just have to be as quiet as possible.
He glides his lower body up and toward your face. His slit is only tiny bit open so you lick your fingers and push them inside. Naga hisses and his scales make a very special movement, similar to human goose bumps. You feel around inside his slit until you find his two dicks swollen and pressed hard against each other. While trying to keep your mouth firmly shut despite wanting to moan like a whore, you push open his slit a bit more so that you could thrust your tongue inside. His cocks immediately react to stimulation and, lubricated by your saliva, slowly slide out.
"Fuck," he pants. "I'm so horny. I can't... I need to..." He hisses very loudly and, the next second, you can't move trapped by his powerful body. His tail muscles are so strong that he easily squeezes all air out of you. With sclera turned red and his pupils as thin as needles, you know you are at his mercy. Completely helpless. His prey and toy.
"I will fuck your tight ass so hard," he hisses. "You are my slut. My plaything. I will pump all I have inside your guts."
"Please..." You can barely form words, your chest gripped like a pet toy, but he hears you and moves his head closer. "Fuck me... "
His dicks are already positioned and throbbing against your ass cheeks and thighs. His self-lubricating phalluses easily slide between your cheeks, grinding against your needy anus. Your naga moans once he pushes one of his dicks inside you and lets his other rub between your thighs.
His slick cock feels so good and your inability to move makes you more sensitive. All you can see, smell and feel is he. He is around you and inside you, he is panting and hissing, his scales are rubbing against your skin, scratching you while his cock is pulsating inside you. Your naga boyfriend bites your jaw in a frenzy, pulling you closer, pumping into you. He likes to switch cocks so after every few minutes a different cock drills you. "My slut," he hisses into your neck and you cum the first time with your own cock pressed somewhere underneath his scaly skin. He feels that and chuckles. "More... More... Aah..."
He plays with your body, rubbing against it, and fucking your ass with both of his cocks pushed inside until you climax again. You moan his name and he is again around your neck, chocking you and thrusting hard into your body. He swells and the wood crack around you. A familiar vibration goes though his and your body and he twitches, once, twice and you feel his smooth liquid spraying your insides.
His grip slowly recedes and you can breathe freely again. He nuzzles your neck, his eyes and sclera normal again, smiling in ecstasy. "Oh shit!" A clear panic cracks his voice. "Was I too rough? It was the temperature, the weather, I couldn't control myself, I'm sorry!"
You laugh, stretching your neck muscles. "I don't mind rough, but this changing room is about to fall apart."
With a terrified grimace, your boyfriend tentatively looks at the door. "You think people... saw?"
"Saw? No. But I'm sure they noticed a changing room shaking and hissing."
"Ah yes, well," he laughs. "Well, if anyone asks, we will just tell them it was the heat messing with them."

So excited for this ask! #24 🥹💐💐
hello, lovely! thanks for playing <3 ik i said i'd write "short" drabbles, but this one kind of got away from me... nevertheless, i hope you enjoy it!
(this is lightseoul's 2k milestone event ft. bakugou katsuki! to play, view the numbered list of prompts here, then simply send an ask with your chosen number and i'll whip something up!)
Tumblr media
24. "THERE YOU ARE." (1.5k)
you feel his commanding, unmissable presence before you even catch a glimpse of him.
yet despite yourself, you still startle at the sound of his booming voice when it inevitably comes.
“there you are.”
almost instantly, you cringe at the sheer volume. no doubt he’s caught the attention of at least three people in this particular area of the bookstore.
tightening your grip on the book you just spent the last ten minutes admiring from where it stood on the ‘newly released’ table, you, however, don’t look back to the source.
you know it’s stupid. but maybe—just maybe—if you didn’t see him, you could just pretend he didn’t exist.
which is ludicrous, because he’s literally your boyfr—
“oi.”
before you even get the chance to react, a hand grabs you by your left shoulder and spins you around, leaving you face-to-face with #6 hero pro-hero dynamight, decked out in his hero gear.
and he’s looking mighty pissed.
“did you fucking lie to me?”
he spits the blatant question—no, the accusation—so harshly that you can’t help but shrink into yourself ever so slightly.
when you don’t say anything, he only shakes his head. “i thought you said you had to work overtime and stay in the office?”
he pauses, as if to hear you out, but he continues before you can get a word in. “so you can only imagine my fucking confusion when i got there and that dickhead of a supervisor of yours said you went home on the dot.”
“i thought you agreed to cover for kiri tonight…” you mumble, more to yourself.
but bakugou, sharp as ever, barely catches it. “what?”
you look up from where you were staring at your feet, finally meeting his gaze. you try not to let the pained expression on his face chip away at your resolve. “what were you doing at my office? i thought you were working a double shift today.”
at that, he sneers. “oh, so we’re answering questions with questions now, hah?”
“no, i just—”
“i told eijirou last minute that i couldn’t ‘cuz i was planning to surprise you and spend the night together. happy?”
a wave of guilt courses through you at his admission. you shift to look at the stack of novels behind him instead, effectively ending your staredown.
“so you did lie to me,” he declares definitively, voice clipped. “can’t even look me in the fucking eye.”
not knowing what to say, you resort to scanning the relatively big area around you, clocking the curious faces attached to which are most definitely eavesdropping ears.
“people are staring, kats…”
the pro-hero doesn’t miss a beat. “i don’t give a single fuck.”
you heave a sigh as you wrack your brain for a way out of this. adjusting your grip on the book you’ve been cradling, you settle with: “it must’ve been a long day for you, you should go home and—”
“why are you avoiding me?”
you barely stop yourself from choking. “what?”
“you are. shit’s been going on for a while now—can’t believe it took me this long to put two and two together. you’re always working overtime, you always have errands to run on your own, you’ve been turning down my offers to—”
“excuse me, mr. dynamight, sir?”
the both of you whip to look at the source of the timid voice, only to find what has to be a six or seven-year-old child quaking in his notably orange and black hi-top sneakers.
“what?” comes bakugou’s curt response, obviously annoyed at having been interrupted. you, on the other hand, bask in the momentary reprieve the kid has unknowingly granted you.
you instinctively take a step back from the two.
“can i p-please have a p-picture with you?”
bakugou purses his lips in a tight line, “look, kid, i’m actually in the middle of some—”
“just do it, kats,” you cut him off, feeling empathy for the boy. the child looks at you in surprise, as if he just remembered you were standing there, before tossing you a grateful look.
at that, the man sighs, before beckoning the kid to come close next to him. the younger male beams in joy, hurriedly handing you his smartphone. bakugou crouches down on his knees so he’s more or less at the same height as the kid, an arm looped around the latter.
and as you say ‘cheese’, the two grin, one genuine and excited while the other comes off as a bit strained.
the kid jumps in glee and rushes off to you right after catching the hero off guard with a tight hug to his muscled leg.
looking up at you, he smiles. “thank you, miss!”
you ruffle his hair, “no problem, …?”
“eiro!” the child offers enthusiastically. “and you are?”
you’re about to say your name before you catch yourself in the nick of time.
“no one, really,” you chuckle, although it comes out a bit stilted. through your periphery, you can sense bakugou’s stare boring holes into the side of your face.
a look of perplexion crosses eiro’s innocent features. “really? for a second there i thought you were dynamight’s girlfriend, or something. you can’t be just no one.”
“i’m just a random bookworm,” you raise the book you’ve been holding and wiggle it to prove your point. “see?”
the child merely gives you an unconvinced hum before deciding he doesn’t really care enough to keep pressing. with one last look at his favorite hero, he lets out a squeal of delight, exclaiming thanks and dashing off to who-knows-where.
you take that as your cue to turn your back and make a start for the exit.
you can always just order this book that you’ve been waiting months for, anyway.
but you barely get to take a step forward when bakugou reaches for your wrist and pulls you unceremoniously close toward him, the distance between the two of you around only a foot apart.
your heart starts hammering—whether at the proximity or in anticipation of what’s about to come, if the tight grip on your appendage was any indication—you don’t know.
“the fuck was that?” he hiss-whispers.
at least he’s minding other people now. “i just felt for the kid. he just wanted to take a picture with you.”
“quit playing dumb with me, princess,” he growls. “why the fuck didn’t you just say your name?”
you gulp before you get to talk yourself out of it. bakugou notices, his eyes darting down to your throat and back up to your eyes, his crimson ones wordlessly demanding an answer.
when you don’t utter a single word, bakugou pushes. “you don’t want to go public about us, is that it?”
you almost gawk unabashedly at the man. you sometimes forget how perceptive he can be.
before you can even attempt to deny it, you get stopped in your tracks as you witness first-hand the palpable hurt that flashes across the pro-hero’s features.
and nothing could’ve prepared you for what tumbles out of his mouth next.
“…are you ashamed of being with me?”
“what?” you blurt out, an amalgamation of emotions washing over you in an instant. “no! why the hell would you think that?”
at that, bakugou frowns, “what else am i supposed to think, dumbass?”
“a million other things! like how villains might kidnap me to get back at you, or that your popularity and general ranking will drop, or that i’m not fucking good enough for you!”
the second you say the last thing, bakugou’s gaze turns indescribably stony.
“take that the fuck back.”
“no,” you say, trying to sound firm. “i’m being serious, katsuki.”
“no, you're being fucking ridiculous,” he spits, and if you were judging him just by his tone you wouldn’t believe he’s the one defending you right now.
“is that why you’ve been avoiding me, hah? because you don’t think you’re good enough for me?”
“don’t say it like that,” you grumble, shame now churning in your gut. “you’re making it sound stupid.”
“because you are being stupid, dumbass.” the man huffs, evidently frustrated but you’ve known him long enough to recognize the traces of relief etched on his face.
bakugou reaches for your shoulders, his big, firm hands encasing them as he gently squeezes the flesh. you finally bring your gaze up to look him in the eyes, and the sincerity in them would’ve made you stumble if it weren’t for his hold that’s keeping you in place.
“you’re fucking good enough for me, you got that?”
he says it so certainly that you can’t help but nod, even though you know the insecurities won’t vanish overnight.
“and don’t worry about my ranking—i want to reach number one with you by my side. as for those shit-faced villains, they won’t lay a finger on you as long as i’m alive. okay?”
“okay.”
seemingly pleased enough, bakugou releases his grip on you, pulling a few inches away.
“good. now be a good fucking girl and come home with me, alright? we're gonna talk this shit out.”

A wedding to remember ~ Steph Catley x reader
Tumblr media
Weddings in vineyards are always beautiful but it's something about the venue under the Australian sunset that makes it stand out. With fairy lights decorating the trees and rustic vibes from the wooden tables, Emily and Kat designed it perfectly. You watch the newlyweds have their first dance, a glass of champagne in hand, when you notice a familiar brunette join your other Matilda's teammates across the dance floor.
Steph has been in your life since you were teenagers. Growing closer when on camps together and sharing moments on and off the pitch. Between you both there has always been an unspoken connection that neither person wants to acknowledge. For many years now, there has been one complication for your friendship to progress further - Dean. You told yourself over and over again that there was no chance anything could happen. But Steph got engaged to Dean and you couldn't stand to see it so you move clubs to protect your feelings. Every camp for the national team you'd try to hide your feelings but many of your Matilda's teammates caught on quickly. Every time Steph glances your way, it becomes harder for you to keep those feelings settled.
The sun started to move behind the horizon and more people moved to the dance floor. You decided to stay back and watch, not really in a dancing mood. You heard heels click behind you and you felt a hand on your shoulder. You turned around and saw the woman taking over your thoughts since you arrived.
“Hey stranger,” She said softly.
“Hey,” you replied, trying not to appear nervous.
Steph smiled small, but warm. “You've been hiding over here all night.”
“Just enjoying the view.” you said, gesturing to the many trees in the vineyard.
Steph nodded, looking at the sunset and dimly lit trees before facing you again. “You've been radio silent lately, is everything okay?”
“Just a lot on my mind I guess.” you hesitated. Steph studied you, her expression unreadable.
“You know you can talk to me about anything?”
“I know.” you whisper before going to see your other Matilda's teammate.
Emily insisted that all the Matilda's are to go on the dance floor at least once during the night. Ellie dragged you on there, declaring you needed to ‘loosen up’. After pushing through the crowd, one of your favorite songs comes on. As you dance around with Ellie, she gives you a slight nod to look behind you. Steph was there with her hand outstretched, silently asking you to dance as the music got slower. You hesitate for a millisecond before taking Steph's hand. Time seemed to slow as Steph guided you to the middle of the dance floor. You placed your hand on her waist, trying to ignore all the feelings inside. Neither of you spoke for a while, just gently swaying with the soft melody, until Steph broke the silence.
“Dean and I broke up.” she said, voice quiet but steady.
You stopped in your tracks, looking Steph in the eyes. “what?”
“It's been coming for a while,” Steph admitted. “We both knew it wasn't working anymore,” Before you could respond she continued.
“I've been thinking a lot about what I want - about what makes me happy,” Her eyes met yours, hands tighten around your waist. “and it's you.”
Your breath hitched, as the weight of her words started to settle in. “Steph…”
“Follow me.”
Steph untangles from you and pushes her way through the crowd. You follow behind like a lost puppy until you get a little bit away from the reception. Steph pulls you in her arms and you search her face for any hint of doubt. There was only honesty and Hope.
“I've wanted to say this for so long,” you admit, as your voice trembled. “but I didn't think I could.”
Steph hold your face in one of her hands as she smiled, “well, now you can.”
With that, the distance between you became non-existent. the music Fading Into the background and all you can focus on is her. you both lean in and the wedding slowly forgotten as you two were caught up in each other.
The kiss under the stars changes everything. For the first time, the barriers between you and Steph crumble. As you pull back, your foreheads resting together, Steph smiles—a real, unforgettable smile that feels like home.
“We can’t keep this just for tonight,” she says softly.
You nod, your heart pounding. “I don’t want to.”
The rest of the wedding fades into a blur. You and Steph spend the next few days together, slipping away from the chaos to steal quiet moments just for yourselves. Long walks along the beach, lazy afternoons in the sun, and late-night conversations filled with laughter and shared memories remind you both of what you’ve always had—and what you could have.
As the offseason looms, you both return to Europe, reluctant to leave the bubble you’ve created but excited to see what the future holds. Steph heads back to London, while you return to Barcelona, the distance between you feeling more manageable now than ever before.
The transfer window is in full swing, and rumors are flying about player moves. You’ve kept your decision close to your chest, wanting to surprise Steph when the time is right. The deal with Arsenal has been finalised, and the announcement is just days away.
With the help of Caitlin and Katie, you arrange to meet Steph at one of your favorite coffee spots in London. She’s already seated at a corner table when you arrive, her face lighting up the moment she sees you.
“I didn’t expect to see you so soon,” she says, standing to hug you.
You grin, nerves bubbling under the surface. “I have a surprise.”
“Oh?” she asks, raising an eyebrow as you both sit.
You slide an Arsenal scarf out of your bag and place it on the table between you. Steph stares at it for a moment, her eyes widening as realisation dawns.
“No way,” she says, her voice filled with disbelief and excitement.
“Way,” you reply, unable to keep the grin off your face. “The transfer is all finalised. I’m joining Arsenal next season.”
Steph laughs, leaning back in her chair as she takes it all in. “You’re serious?”
“Completely,” you say. “Thought it was time for a change—and maybe time to be closer to you.”
Her smile softens, and she reaches across the table to take your hand. “You have no idea how happy this makes me.”
For the first time in a long time, everything felt right.

Chapter 1
“Come on, (Y/n)! You have to tell me all about it! What was he like? Did you kiss? Hold hands? Where did he take you?”
I couldn’t help but smile at the rapidfire questions spewing from Kats mouth. Kat, the stunner sat opposite me with perfect dark skin and the inability to have a bad hair day, was my closest friend. We lived on the same street, drank at the same bar and both hated this small, slightly judgemental town equally. We bonded over the similarities in our lives - like both of us having fallen pregnant at a young age and being dealt the hand of having to raise our kids as single parents. Life was fucking hard sometimes (well, nearly all the time), but my son, Levi, and Kat, made this life worth living.
“Jesus Christ, ok! The date was ok.”
“Uh oh. ‘Ok’? That means it was awful, right?” she raised an eyebrow.
I took a gulp of my coffee.
“The date was ok. But he was…. Seriously not my type. He was too…perfect?” I winced as the words left my mouth, fully aware of how utterly ridiculous that sounded.
“Girl, ‘too perfect’? What the fuck kind of excuse is that?” Kat snorted slightly into her latte.
“I know, I know. But he reminded me of a Ken doll, ya’know? With his white jeans and his Armani sweater over his shoulders - that’s not really… me. The dude gets more manicures than I do. Plus he drives a Fiat Panda. Levi wouldn’t be caught dead getting in and out of one of those.”
“You can’t use your sons taste in cars to dictate the men in your life. That’s a low blow and you know it.”
“Ok then, you go out with Robert and tell me about all the kale facts that you never wanted to learn.” I leant back on the couch, clutching my coffee with both hands to bring some warmth to my fingertips. Kat did the same opposite me, leaning back in the plush armchair as we both took a second to glance out of the large café windows. This was our happy place, right here. It was the place we would come to when we first met and the boys were still in diapers. It was our happy place for the last nine years, and we would come here for every situation: be it a breakup, a catch-up, to discuss terrible sexual encounters or dire situations that need insane back-up plans. But we mostly came here to people-watch. Being the young, single moms that we were, we were constantly under the scrutiny of the small town, having every decision judged by the perfect Jeep-driving soccer moms and the old ladies from church. When we came here, to sit by this window in these comfy-as-fuck couches, it was our turn to do a little judging.
“Vicki Priestley isn't fooling anyone with those sunglasses,” I said, taking another sip of coffee as I watched the thin peroxide blonde across the street repeatedly wipe her nose with the back of her hand.
“Right? We get shunned for…well… fuck all, yet that Paris wannabe can snort coke on a Tuesday school run and everyone turns a blind eye? What a joke.”
“Amen to that,” we watched her for a few more seconds as she climbed behind the wheel of some monstrous four by four and sped off down the road.
“Did you hear that Mrs. Harris caught Mr. Harris with a young mistress? Apparently she works at the bank.”
“Oh my GOD yes I heard!” Kat exclaimed, leaning forward, “and as revenge she put Nair in his shampoo - he's completely hairless, even his eyebrows are gone.”
We both snickered as we raised our mugs.
“To Mrs. H for taking no shit.”
Conversation flowed as topics ranged from the new dessert parlour that opened last week down the road to the extortionate price of kids' Motocross gear.
“I mean the bikes are so tiny, why do they have to cost that much?”
“You're preaching to the choir babes, Toby just outgrew his boots for the third time this year,” Kat grimaced at the thought of how much money she'd spent already.
“Ouch, they're like what? Eighty bucks a pair?”
“Yup.”
“Yeah well, I had to get Levi a new helmet after that little dickhead from the tournament last month crashed into the side of him. That boy was more upset about the stickers he lost than the bruises he got,” I shook my head with a smile on my lips. Kat did the same.
“That's a tough kid you've got there.”
I sighed.
“Yeah I know. Despite never having met him, he's so much like his dad. It's a little concerning actually,” I laughed nervously, instantly regretting bringing up Levi’s father in front of Kat. I glanced up at her, taking a sip of my coffee in an attempt to hide behind the mug. The wiggling of her eyebrows being an indicator of her impending wrath.
“That man is the reason why you’re never satisfied with your dates. He set that bar waaaay too high.”
I scoffed. “He did not. We were young and he just swept me off my feet a bit, that’s all; with that ‘give ‘em Hell’ attitude and handsome face. Plus he had a great car.”
“Last time you said his face was ‘gorgeous’,” Kat cupped her face and fluttered her eyelashes, puckering her lips. I threw a sugar packet at her which she batted right back at me.
There was a moment of quiet as we both looked out the window again, my mind unable to stop itself from racing through old memories.
“Do you think he’ll ever come calling?” Kat asked, some sincerity to her tone. I sighed and slumped back further on the couch.
“I highly doubt it. He doesn’t even know that Levi exists. I tried calling him a few years back but some guy John W. had that number instead. I gave up after that. Plus, he had this kinda dangerous job, and normally if he showed up it was because something was going to go down,” I paused, looking into the dark liquid in my cup, “It’s probably a good thing that he hasn’t just shown up.”
“You say that, but you still have that photo you took together on your vanity.”
I shot her a look, pursing my lips and pinching my brows as she laughed, knowing she'd stumped me there. I quickly downed my coffee and checked my watch before standing and grabbing my bag.
“Come on, let's stop interrogating me and go pick up the boys before all Hell breaks loose at the track.”
“Mom it wasn't my fault, I swear.”
I slammed the car door closed and turned to the boy who stood close enough to be my shadow.
I turned around to face him with a stern expression, “so you did do it? After I called that boys mom a liar? LEVI.”
Levi, my son, looked close to tears, his bottom lip trembling.
“Mom, I'm so sorry! I'll never do it again!”
I narrowed my eyes at him before sighing, already exasperated, throwing the car keys into my bag.
“Did you at least stick to the golden rule?”
His answer was a vigorous nod, the tremble in his lip disappearing.
“‘Never throw the first punch; throw the second and finish the fight,’” he recited the words like a prayer.
“And…?”
“‘Always claim self defence.’”
I smiled and ruffled his soft brown hair.
“Good boy. What started the fight anyway?” I asked, guiding him to walk through the parking lot towards that new dessert parlour.
“He said I was weird for not having a dad.”
I looked down at him, eyes softening and I lifted a hand to rub his shoulder. It wasn't the first time he'd had this argument, and it likely won't be the last. Kids can be assholes. “And then he hit me when I said ‘at least my mom's boobs are real.’”
“Levi!” I stopped in my tracks and looked at him, mortified. I didn't even know where to start with that one. “Where-”
“Jamie from math class told me what ‘implants’ were… and he said that Brad's mom had them.”
He looked up at me innocently, and I knew then that he didn't fully grasp what he'd said to Brad - the kid he'd just punched between the eyes. I sighed for the umpteenth time and started walking again.
“Whatever, just… don't say that to anyone again, ok? You're gonna make me look like a terrible parent.”
“Ok mo- whoa! Look at that car!” It was Levi's turn to stop dead in his tracks as he stood in awe of the sleek black car parked by the sidewalk.
A black Chevy Impala.
“Oh wow,” my words came out slightly breathless, my mind suddenly racing to him and the conversation I'd had with Kat earlier that afternoon.
“So cool!” Levi gushed, walking up close to it but not close enough to touch.
“Yes, very cool. Now let's go inside before they run out of ice cream,” I ushered him to the door, reflexively looking over my shoulder, not knowing if I even wanted to see who could possibly be in the area.
The bell jingled as we walked in and Levi ran up to the counter, pressing his forehead to the glass. My eyes scanned the menu and I was pleasantly surprised to see they served coffee.
“What do you fancy kiddo?” I ruffled his hair again and waited for him to decide, and it wasn't long before he'd made up his mind. After ordering, we headed towards a small table-for-two at the edge of the room, and as Levi slumped down in his chair something familiar caught my attention.
A voice.
My heart quickly became erratic in my chest and my palms grew sweaty. I looked in the direction the voice had come from and was met with a slap in the face from memory lane.
There he was; the same wicked grin and mischievous eyes that had burned themselves into my memory. He dressed the same as he did nine years ago - right down to the necklace and leather jacket. He was engrossed in a conversation with another man, who looked slightly younger than himself, all whilst digging into a stack of waffles.
“Mom?”
The sound of Levi's voice snapped me out of the stunned fog I was caught up in and I quickly sat down, trying my best to focus on my son and not the man who was sitting only a few feet behind him. Levi looked like he was about to ask another question when a giant chocolate sundae and a coffee appeared at the table. I heard the waitress challenge Levi to finish the whole thing, but it was like I was listening to the world through water. My mind wouldn't stop racing. He's here. Do I talk to him? Will he remember me? Do I tell him about Levi? I hurriedly pulled my phone from my bag and sent her a hasty message before turning back to the boy in front of me, convincing a smile to appear on my lips.
“If you have room in that black-hole stomach of yours then you definitely could've finished your veggies earlier at dinner.”
He smirked slightly, like he always did when he knew he was getting away with murder, and it almost took my breath away. I saw the same smirk grace the lips of the man in the booth behind him. The mans gaze shifted to the side and when his eyes met mine - the same vibrant twists of green and gold that I have tattooed on my memory - I sucked in a sharp breath, my heart leaping in my chest as I tore my eyes away. I clutched my coffee cup, staring intently at the dark swirling liquid, praying to anyone or anything that I'd find the answers to my troubles in the bottom of this mug. The prickling on my skin was unshakable, like his eyes were on me and I was trapped under his intense observation, unable to breath. Minutes felt like hours, and eventually he and his companion stood before heading to the door. The moment they were gone with the bell signalling their departure, the air gushed from my lungs as I dropped my head into my hands, earning myself a confused look from my son. I offered him a reassuring smile which he accepted before returning to shovelling ice-cream into his face.
Just when I thought I was safe, I looked up and locked eyes with him. Our eyes locked through the window just as he opened the car door, leaning on it. It was like time froze, and for a few moments, despite my earlier urgency to not make eye contact, I was now unable to look away. My breath caught in my throat as a smirk pulled at his lips before he ducked down into the driver's seat, slamming the car door closed. I found myself chewing on my bottom lip as he tore out of the parking lol, that familiar rumble of the engine practically rattling the windows and, despite the noise, it was a comforting sound.
Once they were out of sight and the impala could no longer be heard, I sighed, pushing my hair off my face and running my hands through my hair. As Levi polished off the last of his ice-cream, my phone buzzed on the table. Opening it and reading the message, a small wave of relief washed over me as Kat confirmed that Toby would be at his dad's for once so she could come over to drink wine and discuss very important topics. She hasn't got a clue what I need to vent about yet, but I feel like tonight is going to be a very long night.

there’s a certain hollowness in your chest, and your heart beats slowly as a reminder that you’re alive, but you barely feel like it. your fingers were cold, wringing them together while you stare ahead, unblinking and silent.
chaewon’s voice echoed around you, the sound muffled. your mind was far from where it should be as she waved a hand in front of your eyes, trying her best to gain your attention.
“yn?” chaewon called, a gentle hand on your shoulder.
she gave a small smile once you’d finally noticed her, eyes zeroing in on her. chaewon’s mouth moved, and it took a second before the words registered in your brain.
“we’re going in now,” she nodded her head to the side where the rest of your members stood. “are you going to be okay?”
tonight, hybe was holding a company dinner for the success of the past year. all idols would be present, and you knew it was highly likely that katseye would be here as well.
you nodded, biting on your bottom lip.
her hand fell from your shoulder and towards your own, gripping onto it softly and pulled you along with her. the rest of the girls watched as you walked closer, encouraging smiles sent your way, but you could tell there was a hint of pity.
after the conversation you had with kazuha and processing the realization of your feelings, two days later you found yourself opening up to them about your situation with daniela. your leader was angry, telling you off that it was a dangerous mistake from the start. sakura consoled you, offering bits of advice. yunjin had cracked jokes, finding humor to be her best form of comfort, but it wasn’t long before she noticed how much you were suffering and eased your worries. eunchae held you for as long as she could, and offered to help take your mind off things.
two weeks had passed, the lack of contact between you and the latina felt like torture. during the first few days, you obeyed her wishes for you to never speak to her again, but the distance was getting to you, and so you caved. daniela didn’t respond, leaving your texts unread.
it hurt, badly.
you knew it was deserved after everything you’d put her through, yet you still clung to the hope that everything would work out.
“let’s get through the night,” kazuha mumbled to you once you were near. “then, you can tell her everything.”
she locked her arms with yours together tightly, walking with you through the double doors of the large hall. as you walked in, many hybe employees and artists greeted. you bowed politely, but your eyes were scanning for a blonde curly headed girl.
finally making it to your table, the loud chatter of all the people in the hall took over your senses. eunchae tried to gain your attention, commenting on the black and gold colored decor and the different foods listed on menu for the night. still, your eyes never left the doors for a moment.
as time passed, your leg bounced up and down in anxiousness, trying to distract yourself in a short conversation with yeonjun and yunjin, the former having walked over and greeted your group a few moments ago.
his voice faded away once you finally caught sight of sophia, the rest of the kats’ following behind her. as if the universe was taunting you, all five girls walked in, smiles on their lips. it felt like agonizing pain waiting for daniela, who didn’t appear until the last second, until you’re holding your breath, and then — finally — you see her in all her glory.
she walked through the double doors gracefully, wearing a black formal dress, seemingly far better off than you were.
the sight of her makes your heart drop to your stomach. it stopped, then beat again, much faster this time. your eyes follow her as she greeted everyone just as you did, her smile so wide her dimples show. the lighting of the room made it seem like daniela was glowing, and even if that seemed impossible, in your eyes she was.
she looked absolutely divine.
“zuha…” you tapped her shoulder, eyes still trained on the latina. “she looks so fucking perfect tonight.”
the japanese hummed, following where you were looking. she glanced back at you, smiling. “tone it down an notch, eh romeo?”
yunjin giggled at her members words, bumping your shoulder with hers as she sat beside you. the slight movement caused you to forcibly tear your gaze away, leaning your elbows on the table and run a hand over your mouth.
“fuck, i think i’m gonna be sick.” you mumbled, your stomach churning from the overflow of emotions.
“sick in loveee~” yunjin sung out, another loud cackle escaping her. you flicked her forehead in response, but the blush on your cheeks was evident that she was right.
her laugh caught the attention of wandering stares, looking in both amusement and curiosity. you shrunk into yourself at the unwanted attention, and it wasn’t long before you’re gazing out in search of the blonde once again. daniela doesn’t notice you until katseye was sitting at their own table, and her eyes lock with yours.
you sat immobile, everything frozen in time.
for a moment, you imagined it was just daniela and you in the large hall, no one else around. you imagined that everything was alright, you’d smile at her and she’d smile back. but this was real life, and what you imagined was far from the truth.
daniela looked away faster than the speed of light, leaving you with another wave of numbness that washed over you, sighing dejectedly.
the blonde attempted to put on a brave face, and it was working for the most part, seeing as you believed it, but she could feel herself falter. she knew you still had an affect on her, heart calling out your name, and the necklace that now felt like a burning sensation could still be seen hanging around her neck — a reminder of the power you had over her.
daniela gripped manon’s hand under the table. her roommate raised an eyebrow in concern, watching the latina glance in your direction for a split second. manon understood, and squeezed daniela’s hand in comfort, a silent exchange that said she was here for the girl.
the sound of bang si-hyuk’s voice rang through your ears, every person turning to focus on him as he stood on stage behind a podium. he began with a short speech, thanking everyone for being here and to enjoy their night. he walked off once he was done, applauds and cheering now filled the hall.
the night continued on, many people talking amongst themselves as they ate and drank together. throughout it all, you couldn’t help but look over to daniela every once in a while. and each time you did, she never looked your way, it felt like a stab to your gut.
“do i tell her tonight?” you asked kazuha near the end of the dinner, who swallowed down a sip of water.
your question was slightly louder than you had intended for, the rest of lesserafim hearing you. chaewon shot you a warning gaze and sakura shook her head in protest.
“don’t you think that might be too overwhelming?” eunchae inquired.
in normal circumstances, you’d applaud her for raising a valid point. tonight, however, having daniela so close by after weeks had you itching to fix things between you two.
“manchae is right, yn.” yunjin added, settling an arm over your shoulder. “it’s better to do it in a less crowded place.”
you were half listening to them, catching sight of the katseye girls getting up from their table and beginning to walk towards the doors. without thinking, you went to follow after them.
“yeah, i think waiting a little longe— hey, yn!” kazuha yelled lowly, cutting herself off as you stood up from your seat in rushed movements, the chair loudly scraping against the floor.
it was difficult to push pash the amount of people and make your way towards the end of the hall, apologizing whenever you accidentally knocked into someone. your surroundings were a blur in your peripheral vision, desperately chasing after the blonde.
by the time you’d reached the doors, your breathing was heavy. you frantically looked around, trying to catch a glimpse of any of the katseye members. your eyes were wide, spotting megan walking out the glass entrance doors of the building. with new found adrenaline, you sped walk towards them, pushing the door open with such a force it stung your hands.
“dani!” you shouted out into the cold air, watching as the girls were stepping into a company car.
you sighed exasperatedly, yelling out once more to gain any one of the katseye girls’ attention, but your efforts were useless. the car door slammed close, and the last thing you saw was a flash of blonde curls before they were driving off into the night.
Tumblr media
“i need you to tell me where they’re staying.”
yunjin looked at you teasingly, leaning closer to you as you sat together on the couch, a cartoon show playing in the background. “sorry, who is staying where?”
you groaned, falling back on the couch and slid down. “yunjinnn!” you huffed out, to which the older girl laughed at. “you know who.”
the american pretended to think for a moment, shrugging her shoulders carelessly. “mmh, i don’t think i do.” she tapped her pointer finger on her chin, looking off to the side in fake wonderment.
you rolled your eyes and your shoulders slumped down as you glared up at her from your low position on the furniture. you were well aware of yunjin’s connection with megan and sophia, and decided to use it to your advantage to know the location of where the katseye girls were staying. unfortunately, your member was having too much fun teasing you, withholding the information.
after last night’s event, you’d thought enough was enough. it was killing to not have daniela in your life, you needed to let her know how you felt, the truth of it all. you’d let her slip through your fingers once before, and you weren’t going to let it happen again, not when finally after weeks, you were able to see one another.
it was late, a little after eleven p.m. the phone rang as you pressed it against your ear, foot tapping against the floor of your dorm hurriedly out of nervousness. you muttered under your breath, begging for the call to be answered.
as if your prayers were answered, the ringing stopped and the call was picked up
“dani.” you whispered, almost afraid of what she’d have to say. there was silence for a moment, as you desperately pleaded out. “hey, i’m sorry. i’m sorry. please, can we talk?”
the hope that spread to your chest died out once you heard the voice on the other end, their voice hard. “stop calling.”
“manon…” you muttered, knitting your eyebrows together in confusion. “i— i just want to talk to dani, please! let me… let me explain everything.”
on the other end, manon shook her head silently and gazed at her roommate, sound asleep in the bed of their hotel room. it was rare to see her sleep so peacefully since your last phone call, and the ghanaian wasn’t going to let you ruin her friend any further.
“yn, daniela is one of my best friends, but you weren’t there to pick up the pieces of the mess you made.” manon whispered, turning around to face the window, looking up at night sky. “i’m telling you one last time, stop calling.”
“no, wait—!”
manon didn’t give you a chance, ending the call, and the silence being left behind was deafening, hanging over your head, reminding you of all that you’d done.
your hands grasped onto your members, gripping them tightly, sitting up from the couch and were now perched on your knees. your eyes were wide, as you managed to steady your voice amongst your frantic movements.
“yun, if you have any intention of seeing me happy, then please, tell me where daniela is staying.”
yunjin chuckled and untangled her hand from yours, patting down on your shoulder. “okay, chill out. i’ll text you the hotel’s address.”
you sprung up from the couch, smiling widely as you leaned over and placed a sloppy kiss on yunjin’s cheek. the girl groaned loudly and shoved you away from her as you tripped over your own two feet, stumbling into your bedroom to gather your phone and car keys. you hastily moved around the room, throwing on whatever you thought would make a decent outfit.
your phone dinged with yunjin’s personalized notification sound. the nerves began to set in, quickly unlocking your phone with only one leg in your pants, and copied and pasted in the address into maps, seeing the hotel wasn’t that far away from the lesserafim dorm.
by the time you’d reached the hotel, yunjin had messaged you again, telling you that megan would meet you in the lobby and bring you up to the room they was staying in.
you spotted her immediately, courtesy of her ginger hair, and smiled gratefully as you got closer to her. “thank you for this.”
megan hummed, “don’t get me wrong, i’m still kinda upset.” she told you, guiding you towards the elevator. “but yunjin vouched for you. and plus, i hate seeing dani like this.”
you bit your lower lip as regret filled you, thinking over all this pain you’d caused daniela and the mistake you’d made. your hands clenched together at your sides, worry now creeping in.
it wasn’t long before you were face to face with a white door, a golden plaque placed a little bit above the centre, showing the room number. megan used a key card to open the door, as you rocked on your feet nervously. she opened the door silently, and stepped in, with you cautiously following behind her.
what greeted you was the sight of four girls all gathered on a couch. it was separate from the bedroom and bathroom, large enough to be considered a seating area. the tv was on, displaying the multiple netflix movies. yoonchae sat on the couch, scrolling through the different options, completely unbothered by what was happening around her.
megan caught sight of sophia’s eyes, and sheepishly scurried past her as she abruptly stood up, curling herself against their youngest member. lara glared at you from where she sat, her fiery gaze making you swallow nervously.
if looks could kill, you’d surely be dead.
before you’d gotten a chance to speak, sophia beat you to it, looking at you with crossed arms and a blank expression, visibly unimpressed.
“what are you doing here?” she squinted her eyes at you out of protection.
you cleared your throat, trying to seem as if you weren’t intimidated. “i came for daniela.”
sophia scoffed and clicked her tongue. “don’t you think you’ve done enough?” the leader retorted, tilting her head to the side.
you hung your head down lowly, feeling as if you were under a microscope from the stares that the kats’ were giving you. as you were about to respond, explaining your reasoning for being here, daniela and manon came through the connecting door of the bedroom, stopping in their tracks.
manon was speaking aloud, unaware of your presence. “that better be room service, or i swear i’ll— oh shit.”
the ghanaian’s sudden pause in her movements cause for daniela to crash into her back. she scowled, wondering what it was that had everyone in the room so tense, until her eyes landed on you.
her body ran cold, looking at you with a mixture of surprise and sorrow.
daniela didn’t expect to see you here, in fact she didn’t expect to see you at all after she’d silently been ignoring you. she was suddenly hyperaware of everything, hearing her heartbeat in her ears. pleading with your eyes, you soundlessly begged her to let you stay.
sophia stepped back into your line of sight, her gaze even harsher than before. “you are not speaking to her.”
“it’s fine, soph.” daniela spoke out. all eyes turned to her, but she paid them no mind as she looked directly at you. her jaw clenched in annoyance.
daniela turned around and walked back into the room, a silent request that you follow her. it was difficult to make it past all the girls as they shot daggers your way, but you’d eventually made it and shut the connecting door behind you. as you looked around, you noticed the two separate beds against either side of the room, both messily made up with minimal effort. a couple of clothes were strewn around, daniela’s suitcase unzipped and lay open on the floor.
she stood in the middle of the room, back towards to you. daniela finally turned to face you, sighing. you remained in place with your hands at your sides, cracking your knuckles from the anxiety making its way through your body.
standing with her now, face to face, the words you practiced in your head on the drive over suddenly became lost.
she looked at you expectantly, “are you just gonna stand there and stare at me?”
“i wanted to apologize.”
“apologize?” daniela chirped out, “you think an apology is going to fix this?”
she shook her head breathlessly, looking at you in disbelief at your actions. daniela’s eyebrows scrunching together in anger, her voice raising.
“i get it, yn. from the start of all this, we agreed it was only hooking up. but you’d say and do things that would make me think otherwise, and i hate you for it!”
you flinched at her words, considering if she really did hate you. (you couldn’t blame her, either.)
“dani, i—” you quickly interjected, but she cut you off just as fast, giving you no room to speak.
“i mean, you give me your necklace to wear— to keep, like sure, whatever, it’s just a piece of jewelry! you stay the night at my place, which was your own goddamn rules! you call me whenever you have a bad day, just because you want to ‘hear my voice’ and then…” she paused, looking at you exasperated.
daniela turned around and walked in angry steps, “and then you buy me a gift, and tell me it fucking means nothing.” her voice croaked, facing you.
“like, what the fuck is up with that?!”
in rushed footsteps, you walked closer to daniela, until you were mere centimeters apart, cupping her cheeks and pulling her into an electrifying, world-stopping kiss.
daniela’s mind short circuited, distracted by your hurried movements. her body then melted into yours, hands pressed against your ribcage.
she kissed you back with need, her soft lips moving against yours out of instinct. you tried to pour every ounce of your emotions into the kiss, hoping to convey the way you feel about her. your hands found their way into her hair, fingers tangling in blonde curls, pressing harder until your teeth clash together and she gasped into your mouth.
your head spun from the feel of her lips pressed to yours, forgetting how much of an effect kissing her had on you. your body temperature was rising as you pulled your bodies together as close as humanly possible. daniela’s hands snacked up to cup yours cheeks as well, her right thumb running along your jawline, allowing herself to be consumed by your touch.
when you finally parted, you were both breathing heavily, heart thumping wildly. leaning your forehead against daniela’s, you sighed, shutting your eyelids closed and whispered out,
“i didn’t think i’d ever get to do that again.”
daniela blinked away tears, calming down her breathing. she looked at you, and when you finally opened your eyes, you could see hers were wide with something akin to fearfulness.
you leaned back, hands moving back to cup her cheeks and opened your mouth to speak, your voice shaking.
“i crave to be with someone, but i couldn’t handle that kind of intimacy.” you began, wetting your lips as you struggled to regain control of your breathing. “…and i never understood what people meant when they said love drives you crazy, until i met you.”
you swallowed, closing your eyes for another moment. when you opened them again, daniela could see the truth behind them, shining with despair and vulnerability.
“dani, i have never felt anything like this before, for anyone.” your head shook sideways, voice quivering. “and that scared me, so much. but you didn’t deserve how i treated you.”
you smiled sadly, finally letting your emotions take control. “in the past, i never had the best luck with love. i ran from it, hurting others before they could hurt me. but… its different with you.”
“i think of you, all the time, no matter how much i try to distract myself, my mind always goes back to you. when i’m out with my friends, or with my members — as much as i love them — i would rather be with you. and that bracelet… fuck, it did mean something. it meant that i wanted us to be more, that i wanted you to know how i really feel about you.”
your vision was starting to become blurry, eyes filling with tears the more you carried on. daniela watched as your walls around you crumble down, letting her in.
“you should’ve just been honest with me,” she whispered, delicately cradling your face in her hands.
for a moment, you choked on a breath. there were constellations in her eyes, and they stunned you you to silence.
you breathed, deep and slow.
“i’m sorry, okay?” you whimpered out, “i’m so sorry. i’m sorry that i’ve been a complete asshole in all this. i get it if you hate me, or you never want to see me again, but i am begging you, dani, please, please, can we try again?”
your hand clutched onto hers, pressing it down on your chest. underneath her palm, she could feel the quick beating of your heart. “it hurts not to have you with me. i want us to be together, in a proper relationship. no more sneaking around, no more being kept a secret.”
your voice cracked as you spoke in shuttered breaths, gasping, as though daniela was your supply of oxygen, needing her to survive. she could see the pain on your face, pursuing her lips.
the latina chuckled somberly, “you really hurt me, y’know that?”
“i know, and i will do whatever it takes to make up for that.” you pleaded with her, “just give me one more chance, if— if you’re willing.”
the silence dragged on as daniela gathered her thoughts. standing before her was you, begging and shaking, looking at her with so much emotion. there was love in your eyes, but there was also panic, sadness, desire, and longing.
her lips upturned, “you’re going to regret saying that, because i am sooo making you work for it.”
you laughed breathlessly, pulling her into you, making her drop her hands from your cheeks and pressed a kiss to the top of her head.
“if it makes you happy, i’d do anything.”
daniela felt heat run up her body, warming her face and her ears. “anything?”
a weight lifted off your chest at her teasing tone. you tangled your fingers together, humming in contentment. “yes.”
the latina raised a brow at your willingness to comply with her demands. she smirked, tilting her head back to look at you. “you do realize just because i’ve forgiven you doesn’t mean the girls will?” she quipped, watching as you nodded.
“okay,” you mumbled, pulling her into a hug.
daniela wrapped an arm around your midsection while yours fell over her shoulders. she glanced at the side of your head, “manon will probably try and fight you, lara too.”
“i figured.”
she laughed as you stood with your arms around one another, basking in the comfort you provided. you were happy to finally have daniela back in your embrace, her body feeling like home.
the blonde separated herself from you, and sneakily placed her hands under the shirt you wore, raking her nails across you skin. she leaned to capture her lips with yours in another kiss, this time more soft and sensual. this kiss was tender; there was no more fighting, no more confusing feelings, no more denying yourselves the truth of what you really wanted.
as you stood there, the delicate kiss having your stomach flutter, you’d completely forgotten about the rest of world, until lara’s voice was heard through the door.
“if you two made up, please don’t fuck while we’re all still out here!”

KATSUKI BAKUGO; - you take a cat home... or not? crack﹗ ✧ Word count: 1.9 k
﹗warnings: swearing :D
a/n: Okay, so this ended up longer than intended, just enjoy! I hope I get you to laugh a little ;) . Comment your thoughts and remember my asks and dm's are open!
Tumblr media
You were in your home, chopping vegetables for your lunch. The day was sunny, and you were in a good mood. Your favourite music was playing in the background, while your rice was cooking. Suddenly, your phone rang, it was Izuku. You knew Katsuki was currently working on a case with him and Todoroki, so you instantly picked up to learn the news. Maybe they already captured the villain, and they could come over for lunch!
"Hello, Izuku! Is everything alright?" you asked cheerily.
"Oh, hi (Y/n)! Well, uhm-" he was interrupted by something that sounded like a hiss, "Ouch! Kacchan, stop it! Todoroki-kun, could you help?"
"Izuku?" you asked, starting to get concerned.
"Sorry, (Y/n)! It's just, well... Wekindofhaveasituationhere, beacusewe werefightingavillain, but, uh- shehadaveryunusualquirk, and, well uhm-"
Okay, when that man starts to mumble, something is definitely wrong. If something happened, he better talk now.
"Izuku Midoriya, you have three seconds to spill it, before I pull a Katsuki on you" you practically ordered, your bubbly mood from before, long gone.
"Kaachan was turned into a cat!"
"What?!"
"Yeah, but don't worry, he's fine. Please come to the Agency! I swear we'll tell you more about it once you're here!"
"Oh, okay, alright. But is he fine?"
"He- he is! Just, please hurry? He's already scratched me like ten times..."
"I'm on my way" you hanged up and turned off the stove. Grabbed your keys, your phone and instantly headed out.
You made it to the Agency in record time and got as swiftly as you could out of the car and into the building.
"Ms (Y/L/N)!", Sasaki, the receptionist called right after you entered, "they're waiting for you in Dynamight's office!"
"Thanks, Sasaki!" you nodded, and headed straight into the elevator. You pressed the button for Katsuki's office and waited.
While the elevator went up, the news finally dawned on you. Your boyfriend was turned into a cat! By a villain! God knows for how long!
The doors of the elevator finally opened, and you sprinted to your boyfriend's workspace. When you got there, you slammed the door open and were met by Izuku's and Todoroki's eyes.
"Where is he?" you said, without greeting them
"He is seated in his chair" Todoroki responded, nodding to the corresponding direction.
You walked slowly into the room, to take a look at your boyfriend. Then, you spotted a fluffy yellowish cat, with the grumpiest face, seated on an office chair.
And you barked a laugh.
Then, you turned around to meet, Izuku's and Todoroki's confused stares, which only made you laugh louder.
"Uhm, (Y/n), are you okay? Izuku asked, with a concerned tone
"Yeah, I'm fine! It's just-" you chuckled, wiping the tears that your laughter provoked, "I just can't believe Pro hero Dynamight got quirked into a cat! How the hell did it happen anyway?" you questioned between laughter, earning a hiss from the cat.
"Well, this villain is called ‘Animaniac’. At first, we thought it was just a villain who could talk with animals, and we thought she had let out the animals from the Zoo. But while fighting, we discovered she actually turns people into animals, and the ones that were roaming around the city, are people who got hit by the quirk." Todoroki explained.
"Yeah, and when we were fighting her, she was going to hit a little girl with her quirk, but Kaachan acted faster, and got hit with the quirk instead..." Izuku continued.
"Aw, Kats... You're so sweet for protecting the girl!" and then started chuckling, "You're such a nice Kat!" and roared a laughter once again; this time earning contained chuckles from the other two heroes.
"He is Cat-suki!" exclaimed a laughing Izuku, and in a swift movement, the cat jumped from where he was seated and started attacking Izuku with his claws.
You gasped and instantly went to help Izuku, while Todoroki just stood there watching the scene unroll. The chaos went on for a few moments until an accidental scratch made your skin sting.
"Ouch! Okay, that's enough" you grabbed Katsuki from the neck, how a mother cat would take her kitten, and embraced him.
Finally, Izuku shook off the fur that got stuck in his clothes, breathing from relief. You sighed.
“So, tell me… Did you take him to the police or the doctors yet?”
“We went to the hospital, where the police met us. They told us the quirk was not going to last, long, but they took Bakugo’s hero costume to follow up the investigation.” Todoroki explained and you nodded in understanding.
“Good. So, I’ll take Katsuki home, and I’ll see you guys around?”
“Yes, (Y/N)! Take care! And please keep us updated if anything happens!” Izuku said, waving goodbye.
“Sure! See you!”
“Bye, (Y/N). Take care.” Todoroki said with a smile as you closed the office door behind you.
You made your way into the elevator, once you were alone with Katsuki, you spoke.
“Sorry for teasing you, it’s just such a funny situation.” The cat looked up as you continued, “Do you want to get in my purse? Or do you want me to keep carrying you?” the cat blinked.
“I’ll just carry you, then. I don’t want you getting stomped on, or kidnapped, or anything”. Just then, the elevator opened, and you walked to the exit.
“Bye, Sasaki!” you addressed the receptionist as you quickly passed by her place. You didn’t wait for an answer, since you were sure Katsuki would like to avoid any type of attention towards his cat form.
Once you were out of the building and inside your car, you spoke to Katsuki again,
“Kats, stay in my lap. I’ll just put the sit belt for both of us”, Katsuki blinked at you and did as you said, while you clicked the belt, covering both of you.
You started driving home, and the stillness of Katsuki made you slightly concerned.
“I know you can’t speak right now, but I feel like you’re acting a little weird. Do you feel okay? If you’re getting motion sickness, meow two times” he stayed silent.
A few more minutes passed until you pulled over in your driveway. You took off your sit belt and carried Katsuki inside your home.
His silence was making you believe he was mad that you made fun of him in front of his friends, so you put him in the kitchen aisle and said,
“Hey, Kats. I’m really sorry for teasing you. I know you must be feeling so unlike yourself right now, and you must not be in the mood to be make fun of. I’ll make it up to you, ‘kay? I’ll cook lunch” you offered him a smile.
Then, you put your apron on and continued the cooking you had started before all the chaos. When you poured the ingredients in the pan, the smell of the food seemed to content Katsuki, so he got off the counter and started to rub his head around your feet.
“I’m almost finished, babe. Just know that I didn’t cook it with spice this time, we don’t know if you’ll be as resistant in this form”.
“What form?” the voice made you jolt, you looked to the cat to see if he could talk, but then you spotted him.
Katsuki was standing near the entrance.
“What? Babe get behind me” you picked up the cat and put it behind your figure, as you took the knife you used to chop the vegetables and pointed it to the human Katsuki.
“Babe? What’s wrong?” he eyed the cat “Why is there a cat?” the confusion in his eyes was evident.
“Do not get closer or I’ll call the police!” you threatened when he tried to get closer.
“What the fuck, (Y/N)? Why are you acting so weird? Did you get hit it he head? Let me check if you have a concussion-” he took a couple steps towards you before you interrupted,
“I do not have a concussion! I just, how are you there? I don’t understand!” your voice sounded more exasperated than you wished.
Katsuki recognized you were starting to panic at the situation, so he had to make you calm down before anything escalated.
“Okay, I’ll prove to you that it is me.” He hummed, as he thought about a memory only the two of you knew, “Remember when we had our first date and you were laughing very hard, and then I hugged you and-”
“Stop! Okay, I get it, it’s you!” you tossed the knife to the counter and sighed.
“Now that it’s settled… Care to explain why you’re acting like a maniac?”
“I still don’t get why there’s two of you, is the effect of the quirk gone?” Katsuki’s eyes grew even wider.
“What quirk? There is no other me, are you sure you didn’t hit your head, freak?” he then went and took your head in his hands, hunching slightly to analyse your face.
“The quirk that hit you! The one that turned you into a cat? Do you not remember? We can call Izuku and Todoroki…”
“What? Okay, explain everything to me.” You narrated everything that happened since you received the call, the story that the two heroes told you and how you ended up with a cat.
“Those bastards pranked you. I’m gonna fucking Howitzer them into their next lifetime; see if they reincarnate in a cat, tch" he said as he hugged you. He rested his head in yours.
“I can’t believe I got pranked on by Izuku and freaking Shoto! How could I fall for that?!”
“You’re a dumbass” he chuckled “Even the name they made up for the villain sounded fake as fuck, and I wasn't even working with them today!”
“They were really convincing, I swear! Even the cat attacked Izuku, I really thought it was you!”
“He attacked him? We should keep it!”
“By the way, where is he?” you broke the embrace to search for the cat and caught him eating the food directly from the pan. You sighed.
“What should he call him?” Katsuki asked.
“We’re keeping him for real?” you asked surprised.
“Yes, whatever. He seems to like your food, and if he doesn’t like Deku, then it’s a plus.” You smiled while rolling your eyes.
“Then we should call him ‘Lord explosion!” Katsuki scoffed.
“Shut up. At least I didn’t confuse that cat with you and then proceeded to act like a nut case once I saw you.”
“Stop! We are so gonna get back at them for this. But I think we need to take care of Lord explosion first…” the cat was digging in one of your plant pots, which he then used as a litter box…
“Oh shit! Literal shit!”

Bonus: Sometime later that day...
“Do you think they’ll adopt the cat?” Izuku asked Todoroki. They were patrolling together. “Yes. But I’m sure once (Y/N) discovers that we lied, she will personally come to scold us”. “But we did it for a good cause! How else would they have taken the cat?” “I’m just surprised she fell for it, and found it amusing even…” Todoroki said in a thoughtful voice. Then, Izuku’s phone rang. It was your number. “What do we do?” Izuku’s nervousness evident in his voice. “I’ll answer” Shoto took the phone from Izuku’s hand and tapped the screen to speak with you, “Yes?” “Count your seconds, because we're coming for you two, including Lord explosion” then you hung up. “They’re adopted him” Todoroki shrugged and gave the phone to Izuku. Then, they continued their patrol, watching out for any other civilian or pet in need.
