Re-reading the Alabasta saga and namivivi is so canon like i genuinely think Oda is allergic to writing platonic namivivi. Drum island exists, little garden exists, i haven't even gotten to Alabasta but I'm sure I'll reblog this with "holt shit they get more sapphic" just the way Vivi worries about nami, how she called out Luffy as being a failure because the way he was acting would have had Nami dead. The way Nami cares more than anyone else about getting to Alabasta to make sure Vivi could have her kingdom, how she hid the news, how she pushed through her illness to get Vivi to Alabasta because she knew what was in that news paper. They are lesbians your honour, I can't be convinced otherwise.

writing advice for characters with a missing eye: dear God does losing an eyes function fuck up your neck. Ever since mine crapped out I've been slowly and unconsciously shifting towards holding my head at an angle to put the good eye closer to the center. and human necks. are not meant to accommodate that sorta thing.
