me, watching my mutuals post ceaselessly about a fandom i’m not in:

i don’t know about you guys but the main reason i am still on tumblr in 2024 is BECAUSE it is the most cloutless least influential social media app out there and that is the experience i am after. absolutely none of this will ever translate into significant attention or real success in my life and that is so beautiful.

not all is hopeless. you’re not hopeless. there is a future ahead of you and it might not be perfect but it’s worth a shot to try to make it there.

life can still be something beautiful after the ugly parts. even in the midst of the ugly parts.

so, so much is temporary. things are constantly changing. so if these are bad times, know they’ll come to an end. if these are good times, cherish them while they last.

unfortunately everything touches my heart and moves me deeply and I am forever changed by what I have lived and who I have loved and I’m still learning to focus more on the good things than on the bad. yes my heart is so soft it’s just mush, but at least I can say I have lived a lot and loved deeply, and I want to trust that this love will find its way back

Growth can also come from learning to accept yourself and to find ways to cope with the things that happen to you, how to process your emotions, how to communicate things in a way that won’t leave you feeling like there is a knot in stomach from all the emotion you tried to suppress.

disabled people deserve more than being shamed for having symptoms while in public. no one owes anyone to be pretty when they are sick, and if some symptoms are “disgusting”, “ugly” or even just annoying to you, then look away. mind your own business. no one owes you attractiveness, no one should be appealing to you all the time, people have a right to exist in public even when they are different, even when they are sick.
