Family, meet family
Summary: After leaving the jujutsu world behind and moving away to start his family, Nanami Kento wonders if his kids will ever meet the people he considers his family back in Tokyo. fluff, time skip, everyone is happy and everything is ideal (just let me pretend and be delusional w me pls), nanami x fem!reader, the very end implies a big spoiler (a/n: for easier reading I will be giving the kids names but feel free to imagine another name if you'd like. and going along with the fact that nanami is a girl dad, he's got his girls in this story. the eldest is june and the youngest is kai. this will be what happened after the ending of my other story "All I ask, all I want". thank you anon for this idea, i hope you enjoy 🖤)
It was a busy day at the bakery and Nanami had taken the girls upstairs to get them ready for bed. It has been four years since Nanami left the jujutsu world and although he wanted to go as far as as he could to escape everything and everyone that could harm his family, your family settled in Iwakuni, Japan. It was a small city and not the secluded town Nanami thought he'd end up in once he had a family, but it was comfortable enough for Nanami to live in and a perfect sized community for his kids to grow up in.
Nanami had bought a newer built house for the family and surprised you when he said he wanted to add space to the house... for a bakery. You were a few months pregnant at the time he brought up this idea and as scary as it was to start a business during such a changing time, the sparkle in his eyes when he brought up the idea convinced you. He had the addition finished when your eldest was 3 months old and Ami Bakery was opened for business by the time she was 7 months old. Your house always smelled like bread from Nanami's trial and error baking and neighbors quickly flocked to the new bakery. You were both more than thankful for the business, but it did leave the whole family tired at the end of the day.
You finish wiping down the counter, turn off the lights, and lock the door from the bakery leading into the rest of the house. You hear very soft giggling from the girls upstairs and you smile while ascending the stairs and heading into their room, "It's time to sleep, close your eyes and stop giggling." Your three and two year old giggle a bit more before snuggling into their blankets and giving a soft ok. You lean down to kiss them goodnight before leaving their room to find your husband.
Nanami was sitting at his desk in your joint office with only a small desk light on and a small opened box in front of him. You close the gap and hug him from behind to look at what he's so focused on. Your head is next to his and you wait for him to speak after seeing the picture he's holding.
Nanami turns his head to kiss your cheek and begins, "June is learning about family trees at daycare. Mom, dad, aunts, uncles, grandparents... she asked if they had any aunts and uncles from me." Nanami tilts the photo in your direction, a beach outing that Gojo had insisted on. The first and second years were present and everyone was smiling or at least looking at the camera. Nanami is in the corner, but you could tell he stepped closer for the photo. "This is all I could think of. I have my family here, you and them... but they were my family too. This is their family, their aunts, uncles, cousins even if they'd like that instead."
He puts the photo down and grabs the Jujutsu pin from the box with a few more photos. You rub his shoulders and rub your face in his neck while you say, "Yuji hasn't called in a while, why don't you call and ask if he'd like to visit for a few days? He can tell the others and we'll set up the rooms for them. And we'll even put them to work in the bakery, they might bring in some more customers wanting to see their pretty faces."
Nanami laughs at the suggestion but shakes his head, "They're too busy. None of them can leave Tokyo for a few days right now." He sighs and puts the pin and photo back in the box.
You snuggle your face into the crook of his neck and ask, "What if we went to Tokyo instead? Besides Yuji coming down to visit and a couple calls with Megumi and Gojo, nobody else has had the chance to meet the girls."
Nanami looks at you, somewhat surprised by the suggestion of visiting Tokyo with the girls. He looks at the opened box and after a moment of contemplating, Nanami smiles and kisses your cheek again.
———
Nanami stops just outside the steps of the school and kneels down to eye level with the girls, "You need to tell me if you see something weird or if something scares you. Please, tell me if you feel uncomfortable and want to go, we'll leave immediately." The girls nod and impatiently jump to start ascending the steps.
Nanami had always wondered if the girls inherited anything. He didn't want them to see any curses and would exorcise any he would see before the girls even noticed. He never wanted the girls to know fear at such a young age and he'd protect them from it as much as he could.
He stands back up and faces you, "You need to tell me if you feel anything too. Even if you don't see it, I don't want you to be uncomfortable." He knew you were a non-sorcerer but he'd always check in with you for any bad feelings. You nod and smile to try to ease his worry and nerves from being back in Tokyo.
"Nanamin!" You both hear fast steps heading towards your family and you turn to see an excited Yuji running at full-speed.
Nanami steps away from the girls sensing that Yuji would jump on him as soon as he got close… and he did. Yuji was not small by any means and Nanami stumbled but he held him tightly as the young man wrapped his legs around his old mentor.
On the way to Tokyo, Nanami told you everything he knew about what the students were doing. Gojo would occasionally send him updates but Yuji was the one who would blow up his phone at least once a month with updates from everyone.
Yuji had graduated from Jujutsu High and was working as a full-time sorcerer with a few of his classmates. Megumi joined Yuji as a full-time sorcerer and both would go on missions while doing special field classes with the current students. Nobara was designing her own clothes and working as a photographer while in fashion design school, but would get called in if she was needed.
The students who were in their second year when Nanami left were in similar situations. Maki was still based in Tokyo but was planning to make her return to the Zen’in Clan soon, Yuta had returned to Tokyo and would often get sent to special overseas missions wherever needed like Gojo, Inumaki and Panda were working alongside Yaga and were very important factors to the current student’s education and training.
Gojo was still as Nanami described, “just Gojo.” Only this time, he would say it with a smile on his face instead of the annoyance previously there. Gojo had tried visiting before but those plans were always interrupted by some other thing. Nanami would smile and say it would happen next time, but you could clearly see his disappointment. He would spend those early mornings before the cancellations getting the girls in their best outfits and would make more of his special bread that was usually just reserved for you and the girls.
But now, even with the young man dangling on his body and putting more strain than usual on his back, Nanami was happy. He held onto his student - no, his friend, and would not let him go until Yuji himself got off.
“Itadori, get off of Nanami-sensei,” Megumi calmly walked to the group and slightly bowed to you and the girls.
Yuji puts his legs down and stands before leaving Nanami’s arms and going straight to you. You open your arms for him and he gladly accepts with a tight hug that’s followed by him picking you up and slightly wiggling you, “I’m so excited you’re all here! I have so many places lined up but you can choose where we go! And I have so much to tell you!”
You laugh and nod, the tight hug not really letting you speak. Yuji lets you go and you finally see his wide smile again. It’s the same smile he had when he first visited you guys in Iwakuni, healthy and happy. Yuji turns to the girls and kneels to open his arms. Megumi follows suit next to Yuji and extends his hand to give them a handshake. Kai turns to Megumi after her hug with Yuji and lifts her arms for him.
———
Yuji is carrying a giggling June on his shoulders while skipping. Megumi is carefully holding a quiet Kai who is just quietly staring at him like her life depended on it. “Like calls to like,” Nanami says while holding your hand and laughing at the scene of his kids all together.
You hear a few quick clicks as soon as everyone is entering one of the buildings on the grounds. You turn and see a young woman holding a camera. She stands straight and starts bickering with Yuji about them taking too long. She ignores Yuji’s last remark and goes to greet you both with a warm smile. She introduces herself as Nobara, and she is even prettier than the photos you last saw of her.
She shows you the photos she took of the girls with the 'idiots' and a photo of you and Nanami smiling at the kids, then hands you her card “for any future photographer needs.” She turns back around towards the girls and starts complimenting June on her beautiful hair and Kai on her beautiful light brown eyes. She tells the guys to let them down and points her camera at the girls. Nobara moves around while getting different angles before asking if they could go out to the yard for the natural lighting.
Down by the trees Nobara wanted to take photos at, a female voice called out for Nanami. You both turn and you immediately recognize the woman who once helped you as Shoko and the man who would always talk very highly of your husband as Ino. Nanami waved to Shoko as she returned a warm smile while Ino dismissed a few current students that were with them both.
"I'm sorry if you were in a class, I didn’t mean to interrupt anything," Nanami stepped towards his old friends and Ino reached for a hug. It wasn't the same clinging hug as Yuji but Ino had his eyes closed and was completely focused on the hug. After a hug that might've been too long for most people, Ino stepped away from the hug but was still laser focused on his old teacher. You could see his eyes drifting all over Nanami's face while he spoke. He was looking at his friend while he spoke, but noted the crows feet and smile lines that were finally being marked after decades of a stoic face, and his overall aging face. You knew that Nanami had noticed Ino's stare as well, his observation skills from being a sorcerer never departed and he noticed everything, but he knew better than to point out certain things. This was one of them, he did not mind Ino looking at every detail of his face... because he was doing the same.
Everyone was older. It was amazing to see the students get older, but seeing the people he grew up with get older even by a bit was a happy but grim reminder of the time that passed without each other. He was truly thankful that he could spend another moment with his family and friends after years of not being in the same space as them. It had only been a few years, but it was far too long for everyone.
Panda, Inumaki and Maki start coming down to the yard from the same direction that Shoko and Ino had come from. Panda starts a light jog towards the group and you hear an audible gasp from the girls after seeing a panda act like a human. Kai went to hide behind Megumi, or Goomi as she started calling him, and June went to Nanami's side while staring at the approaching Panda.
"Nanami-sensei, it's been a while," Maki smiled at you and her old teacher while swinging the staff she was carrying behind her arm.
"Salmon," Inumaki waved to the group followed by quiet giggles from beside Nanami.
"Salmon?" June giggled but still hid behind Nanami and kept an eye out for the panda.
After June's giggles as the trio all got closer, Gojo just... appeared. Despite Nanami telling you what Gojo could do, it was surprising to see anyone appear anywhere in a split second. "Well, looks like I'm the last one to the party." Gojo takes off his blindfold and puts on his glasses.
"Don't worry, we expected that," Maki waves him off and lightly grazes Kai's hand that's tightly holding onto Megumi. She might not be as playful or expressive with the girls as the other kids but she was trying to get close in her own way.
With Gojo's arrival, Nanami leans down to pick June up and motions for Megumi to pick up Kai and bring her to him, "I want you guys to meet someone," Nanami takes Kai from Megumi's arms. Holding both girls in his arms, he tells you to step closer before pointing his head to the adults and his old students that have now gathered as a small group, "Family... meet family."
June and Kai look at the group and start with small smiles. They both had opposite personalities but the girls were very warm with any new people they met. But June broke into a wide smile first, "Family?" Nanami nodded with a big smile and June turns back to the group, "Family!"
June reaches for Shoko's hand and she steps forward to playfully shake your daughter's hand while Kai lays her head on Nanami's shoulder. Gojo got close to Kai and stroked her back to get her to look at him. "I'm Uncle Gojo," he smiled at the little girl, "you can call me if you're in trouble but don't want to tell your parents."
"Gojo, she's two. And please don't tell my daughter that," Nanami sternly told Gojo but the small grin on his face made Gojo double down on the girls calling him for help.
Nanami puts the girls down so they can say hello to everyone and June takes Kai by her hand and goes to introduce herself and her sister to each person... and Panda. She left Panda for last but you could tell she was intrigued by him and would most likely keep going back to him.
Gojo pulls out his wallet, then a card, and gathers June and Kai to his side to explain how to use the card. Nanami stops him with a hand on his shoulder and shakes his head. Gojo shrugs, puts his card back but pulls out six 10,000 yen notes and tells the girls, "Uncle Gojo will give you more when he comes to visit. There's more where that comes from."
Nanami face palms and the girls look over the money and thank Gojo but give it to Nanami to hold. Shoko laughs behind Gojo telling him he needs to practice being around kids and Ino agrees saying that he'd have to most likely bribe Nanami's kids with bread instead. Gojo is promising that he'll keep trying to win the girls over and be their favorite uncle when Yuji runs in and tags Kai to play with him. Kai tags Megumi who then tags Yuji again and the three start to run towards the open space in the yard. June returns to Panda and Inumaki's side where Inumaki kneels down to compliment her dress... maybe. Without Nanami translating, it was hard to figure out what he was trying to say.
You step away from the group to start setting up the picnic you prepared underneath a large tree. Nanami had packed a variety of breads he wanted his family to try and some special treats the elderly neighbors had dropped off after they found out you were going to Tokyo to visit family. You're opening the basket and pulling out the bags of bread when you look back up at your husband.
Nanami's smile appeared much easier than before. His shoulders were slouched in relaxation compared to his stiff shoulders from his time as a sorcerer. And the soft and light stubble on his face was the perfect sign of a busy baking father who perhaps didn't have the time to shave, but had the time to do his daughter's hair and painstakingly choose every part of their outfits down to the socks.
Now it’s your turn behind the lens. You grab your phone and point the camera to the older group first. Nanami, Gojo, Shoko, and Ino are watching the kids and talking about something that was probably long overdue. You make a mental note to invite Gojo, Shoko and Ino to your house for a special dinner and adult night out with Nanami. They have been through enough together and individually, they deserved a fun and carefree night at the minimum. After a short video and many photos of the older group, you turn the camera to the younger group. Panda is throwing June up in the air before catching her and doing it again and again. Inumaki is his second pair of hands and has his arms stretched out to catch June at any given moment. Kai is running after Megumi while being chased by Yuji pretending to be a zombie. Nobara and Maki are watching from the side underneath another tree, laughing about whatever Nobara is showing her from her phone.
What a scene. What a beautiful, nonthreatening, completely content scene. Nanami was more than happy in Iwakuni, there was nothing more he would ever wish for, but he was happy to finally see his group again. You knew he regretted the last view everyone had of him as a limping man. He had wanted to walk out with his head held high, proud and an accomplished sorcerer, not the defeated and heavily scarred man who barely escaped death.
Today, Nanami would leave Jujutsu Tech as a happy, healthy, and completely fulfilled man while holding your hand as you both carried your girls back home. All with a promise to see his jujutsu family again in Iwakuni.

Random TUA Headcanons, Pt. 1
I was thinking about what sort of uncles (and aunt) the Hargreeves siblings would be. Since we may get to see those dynamics in s4 (the Klaus and Claire pic has got me hyped) it's time to share my silly thoughts.
This isn't speculation; I don't really do that. These are merely random ideas of mine (and all very soft because I can't be an angst writer all the time). Enjoy! ^.^
Below the break.
LUTHER
Helps teach them how to drive, and really enjoys it, too.
Has karaoke sessions in the car with his nieces when he drives them around. He tries to sing all the parts and makes them laugh.
Takes them to planetariums, rocket launches, and shows them how to work a telescope; he'll map the night skies with them for hours.
Was always the favorite when it came to playing hide-n-seek or tag; he invented a game called "crazy monk" where he makes scary faces and chases them around the house.
Could carry one niece on each shoulder easily; they loved it.
DIEGO
Is there for them after their first break-up. He takes them to a rage room and they have a grand time smashing things to bits.
Teaches them self-defense, as well as how to properly throw a knife. He may have gifted them their first knife a little too early, though.
Attends all of their sports games and track meets, and is there to scream and cheer from the sidelines (or shout at the ref if needed).
Learned how to style hair so he could give his daughter and niece all sorts of fun and dramatic hairdos; on speed dial for "crazy hair day" at school.
ALLISON
The one who takes them out for their first drink when they turn 21.
Likes to buy a lot of little presents for them, although they'll occasionally get jump-scared by something huge, like a new car.
Loves to go on trips with them; was definitely their travel companion for their senior graduation trip.
Helped them get ready before prom and took way too many pictures, all of which she cherishes greatly.
Would absolutely be the one to give "the Talk", because all of her brothers were too awkward to do it for their own children. Is excellent at giving a quick and concise sex ed course.
KLAUS
Would love to take his nieces to get their nails done (he'd get his done, too).
Loves to go get ice cream, boba, and other little treats with his nieces.
Is definitely the one bringing home puppies, kittens, hamsters, etc. as birthday presents.
If any of his nieces/nephews were to come out as queer, he'd be wildly supportive. He'd go with them to get their hair cut and buy new clothes if they were trans, or support them at Pride, or just overall be the coolest uncle ever.
FIVE
Acts like he could care less, but remembers all of the tiny, insignificant details such as their favorite color or favorite flavor of ice cream.
Will pick them up from anywhere, no lectures, no questions asked. Also won't tell their parents if they don't want him to.
Became very distressed the first time one of his nieces was bullied; his siblings had to remind him that he was not allowed to murder a kindergartner.
Unironically refers to them as his siblings' "spawn" and "offspring".
Asks his nieces for help when it comes to using his phone.
Would take his nieces to Starbucks or Dutch Bros (is this too niche to my area?), even if he thinks their coffee tastes like shit, because he likes to see them smile when they drink their overly sugary drinks.
(UMBRELLA) BEN
The absolute best at reading bedtime stories. He'd do goofy voices and end up keeping his nieces awake because they'd be too busy giggling.
Helps them study for tests and exams (they always get the best grades when Uncle Ben helps them).
Is an extremely good listener and gives some of the best advice. He never judges them for their mistakes, but always suggests how they might grow and move forward.
Happy to help his nieces on their curiosity voyages; likes to take them to museums and other places of learning.
VIKTOR
Would attend every musical, dance recital, talent show, and performance his nieces were in. He'd be in the back with big bouquets of roses and whistle and cheer at all the right moments.
Likes to take them to do the ordinary, menial things he wished he could do as a kid, such as going to the zoo or an amusement park.
Loves to talk and FaceTime with his nieces; he never misses a single call.
Is happy to pay for any artistic hobbies his nieces want to pursue, such as music lessons or drama camps.
Have any other headcanons about the Hargreeves as aunt and uncles? Lemme know in the replies or the reblogs!

✨Pairing✨: trucker!Ari Levinsonxblack!reader
Summary🪄: It’s always a time when uncle Ari comes around
⚠️: uncle!Ari (just as damaging as dad!Ari and regular Ari lol) mention of nightmares, pretty much all fluff💕
A/N🎤: Hey guys! Another Halloween themed fic but this time with a softer Ari😌. This will serve as atonement to myself (and others who might be affected) for daring to make my fave dark in my last post lol. Hope you guys like it!!
*DISCLAIMER!: although visual made by me via Canva, I DO NOT CLAIM OWNERSHIP of pics used as they were all found on Pinterest*
As expected, four year old Grace had been attached to Ari since the moment you both arrived to babysit for the night. You wouldn’t say you were upset seeing that he was her uncle and that they’ve talked nearly every day since she could babble, but there was still a little sting every time you were greeted with a quiet “hi” or short wave before she was gone and you long forgotten.
Like now as they dug through their shared pumpkin emptying it’s stringy contents while you were in charge of decorating the sugar cookies waiting on the cooling rack.
“S’cold!,” she squealed dumping out her handful of pumpkin guts.
“Be careful of the seeds, you swallow one and a huge pumpkin’s gonna grow in your belly,” Ari warned to which little Grace quickly shook her head.
“Nuh-uh!”
“Uh-huh!”
“No uncle Ari, we can eat. See?” Before either of you can say anything, she’s quick to set one on her tongue happily chewing until she can swallow it down rubbing her belly. “I’m fine.”
“I guess you showed me huh,” he chuckles tapping her nose and leaving some juice from his finger on her skin successfully turning it light orange. Grace is quick to retaliate though rubbing her hands on his cheeks to leave behind tiny pieces of string as she giggles - and you do too from the other side of the kitchen.
Honestly you couldn’t blame her for picking Ari over you as her favorite. You’d choose him too if you had to pick between the two of you.
“Alright, it’s pretty much cleaned out now. You want scary or funny?,” he asks watching as she adorably tapped her tiny finger to her temple in thought.
“Hmm…funny!”
“Got it,” he nods. “Why don’t you get cleaned up and help your aunt with cookies?”
“I got everything we could ever want Grace,” you smile reaching in your grocery bag full of decorating goodies. “There’s sprinkles - three different shapes I might add - glitter, edible stickers, and stencils to help us draw shapes!”
The way she gazed at the sprinkles with her mouth in a little “o”, you think you’ve got her. Finally able to bond with her over a shared love of cookies like you were in one of those Hallmark movies. Like a little happy family.
“Um..wanna stay with uncle Ari.”
Well, so much for that.
“Oh okay,” you answer successfully hiding your hurt behind your nonchalance. Ari still notices though giving you a sympathetic smile and mouthing, “sorry.”
You appreciated him trying, but maybe you were just meant to be the fun uncle’s wife that barely got a hello. And who tends to go overboard with cookie decorating supplies.
•
“Alright ladies are we ready?,” Ari asks sitting on the navy blue sectional between you and a bouncy Grace nodding yes. During your spaghetti dinner - made by Ari since apparently his was the best although he used your recipe - he suggested that you all watch a movie afterwards.
Specifically, Gremlins.
His thought process being what better way for everyone - more so you and Grace - to spend time together than to watch a movie? Especially a spooky one seeing that it was the night before Halloween. You, on the other hand, had a few concerns on his niece potentially being scared of the little troublesome creatures.
“She’ll be fine. It’s not that scary,” he assured kissing your cheek.
Freshly bathed and in her appropriately themed pumpkin pajamas, Grace couldn’t wait holding on tight to her Mickey Mouse blanket as she watched her uncle press play.
“Share with me!,” she smiles just as Ari spreads the bigger, cream blanket over both yours and his lap.
“I’m not gonna fit though bug.”
“Uh huh! Watch,” she states crawling into his lap and neatly spreading the grey blanket over her legs and his thighs. You - again - casted off to the side with your blanket as she tilts her head back to look up at him. “We fit!”
“Y-Yea, looks like we do.” He gives you another sympathetic smile draping his arm around your shoulders while you bundle deeper under the blanket.
“I’d rather be by myself anyway. Little does she know her uncle is a blanket hog,” you think trying to make yourself feel better.
•
Ari appeared to be right on Grace not being scared. She even fell asleep towards the end with her upper half on the cushion next to them and lower half still on his lap; mouth wide open pointed towards the ceiling. Ari was the one to tuck her in bed, while you cleaned up the blankets and plates of cookie crumbs left in the living room.
You were the last to enter the shared guest room to finally get ready for bed yourself. Your love struck husband taking turns gazing at you and the last period of some hockey game as you strode back and forth from the bathroom to the bedroom. A small, dopey smile on his lips watching you wash your face and apply all your products.
“Share with me?,” he pouts with those puppy eyes making you giggle while sliding into the full sized bed.
“I don’t know,” you sigh, “I feel like Grace is gonna somehow come in saying how she wants you to sleep in her room instead because that’s where you’re supposed to be.”
Yes probably a little petty, but you couldn’t hold it in anymore.
His tattooed arms bring you closer into his body pecking the top of your head as you settle between his pecs. A low “aw” vibrating in his chest while his hands rub along your back.
“I know I probably sound jealous, but I’m not. I love how you have a great relationship with your niece! But it’s like she hates me and I have no idea what I did.”
He knew that had always been a bit of a fear for you. Kids hating you for whatever reason, thus meaning you shouldn’t have them although you did desire to be a mother one day. It’s why you were nervous meeting Grace all those years ago, afraid that the smallest mess up would ruin everything.
It didn’t help that the minute Ari passed her to you, she began whining and squirming. Your coos of comfort and gentle rocks didn’t seem to help, only making her more agitated not getting what she wanted. She didn’t stop until she was back in Ari’s strong arms and you kept your distance the rest of the visit cautious of a repeat interaction.
If only he could get you to ignore that fear and really see how everyone you met - adults and children alike - had no issues with you. Some even left enchanted by the charisma you thought you lacked.
“I promise, she doesn’t hate you gorgeous.”
“She said so?,” you quietly ask lifting your head with a hint of hope.
“Well…no. But she didn’t say the opposite either.” He tried to soothe your qualms, but it’s not helping the way he hoped watching your head fall back to his chest with a light huff. “Trust me sweetheart. I guess she’s just attached to me because-,”
“You’re amazing and clearly the favorite,” you mumble making him chuckle.
“I was gonna say because I talk to her more, but I’ll take the compliment.”
It’s not long after that you’re both falling asleep lulled by the shared warmth from holding each other. Ari’s soft snores vibrating the side of your face still lying on his chest.
You think you’re dreaming when a mix of a whine and cry hits your ears disrupting your rest and making you groggily sit up. Hearing feet shuffling outside your door though confirms those sounds are in fact real, giving you more motivation to investigate.
Your husband’s too far gone in his own dreamland to be affected by your moving; still lightly snoring with an arm over his forehead and the other out by his side.
Quietly opening the door, you wrap your arms around yourself in your thin pajama set feeling the chill of the night air seeping into your sister in law’s house before carefully padding out to the living room. There, you notice something on the couch moving under the blanket you folded earlier causing you to freeze in place. It was then you realized you probably should’ve woken Ari up so he could be the one playing detective or at least grabbed something you could use to defend yourself.
“H-Hello?,” you call out to the dim space only lit by a couple plug in nightlights in the walls.
“Hi,” Grace’s soft voice responds with a short sniffle.
You also realize how you’re sleepy brain might not be fully thinking straight unable to conclude earlier how it could just be your own niece sitting there on the couch.
Stepping closer, you sit on the cushion next to hers peeling back the cotton throw until you see her splotchy face and red eyes. Water attached to her curled lashes and some still threatening to spill over. “What’s wrong?”
“Bad dream…gwemlins,” she answers using the blanket to wipe her eyes. You immediately hug her close as you coo and assure her everything’s okay.
And surprisingly, she hugs you back.
Her tiny arms wrap tight around you - well, as far as they could with her adorably short reach - almost refusing to let you go.
“Yea, when they get angry they can be scary huh?”
She nods. “And have very very sharp teeth.”
“They do, but luckily they’re not real so there’s nothing-,”
A crash from the back room startles both of you making Grace scream, with the six year old nearly choking you now having her arms around your neck.
“It’s them!,” she cries hiding her face in your shoulder just as Ari limps into the living room holding his knee and appearing half asleep.
“Damn dresser,” he grumbles wiping his eyes that quickly fill with concern seeing both of you on the couch and his niece upset. “What’s wrong?”
“Grace had a nightmare about Gremlins,” you answer pointedly glaring at him as if saying, “I told you so!”
The slight wince on his face isn’t just from an uncomfortable knee as he walks forward to perch on the coffee table. “I’m sorry bug. I didn’t mean to show that to you to scare you.”
“Not nice uncle Ari,” she mumbles still attached to you.
“Forgive me?,” he pouts holding his arms out for a hug. “Peas?”
Wiping her eyes one last time, a small smile begins to spread on her lips as she moves from you to Ari. A fit of giggles rapidly escaping her mouth as his larger body practically swallows hers in a bear hug and he attacks her cheeks with kisses. A dramatic “mwah” sounding every time he made contact causing you to giggle as well.
And fantasize the undoubtedly joyful future you’d both have with your own children.
“Don’t do it again!,” she chastises when he stops. Wagging her finger inches from his nose making him chuckle. She was definitely her mother’s child.
“I promise I won’t.”
“Alright guys,” you sigh, “Since it’s gonna be a bit difficult to go back to sleep, I say we watch something happy.”
“Not Gwemlins!”
“No definitely not,” you chuckle. “I was thinking..Aladdin.”
“Yay! I love Aladdin!,” she claps in Ari’s arms as he picks her up so they both can sit on the couch. To both of your surprise, Grace crawls from her uncle’s lap and squeezes between you and Ari. “You like too?”
“Mhm, I even went as Princess Jasmine for Halloween when I was little.” You have to admit, seeing that gleam of admiration in her eyes as she gazed up at you made you silently thank Ari for showing her that movie. It was the reason behind this bonding moment that you didn’t think would happen.
As the movie played, you and Grace talked about the scenes and of course sung along to your heart’s content not caring if you were off key. All the while Ari watched you both with a soft smile on his pink lips loving how fast of friends you’d become.
And when you both fell asleep - you leaning on his shoulder and her across your lap - he couldn’t help but sneakily take a picture with his phone. Sending it to you with a message saying “looks like you’re amazing and a clear favorite too😉”.

♡ ♡ ♡ ♡
Relief was such a wonderful feeling.
You were smiling and breathing again; because he was.
“Wild horses, sir. Just...wild horses,” you heard Garcia say. You were so grateful for her. Seeing her hugging him and giving him a kiss on the forehead made your heart swell. Aaron deserved to be loved like this.
She turned around and her smile grew even bigger when she noticed you standing on the door. Your hand was soon in hers. “I’ll call everyone. Sean too,” she said. You had sent Sean home, knowing he was running on a few hours of sleep. “You go to him,” she added.
Penelope winked at you and you wondered if she knew. You didn’t mind.
“Two minutes. I left for two minutes,” you said, walking towards his bed.
“Sorry, I needed some peace and quiet waking up,” he replied.
“I knew you did it on purpose.”
His laugh was weak, but genuine.
You sat on the chair next to him, but pulled it closer so it was almost attached to his bed.
Aaron lifted his hand to touch your cheek with his fingertips. “What’s that?” he said softly. “Have you been crying?”
You placed your hand over his and kissed his palm. “Of course I have. I didn’t know if you’d be okay.”
“As if I’d ever leave you,” he whispered.
“It was so scary. I’ve never had anyone I lo-” you held yourself back and stumbled over your words. “Anyone close to me,” you corrected yourself, “In a hospital before.”
“I’m sorry you had to go through that, sweetheart,” he said.
“I’m sorry you had to go through that.”
Aaron let out a heavy sigh and spoke again. “Y/N?”
“Hm?”
“Could you do me a favor?”
“Anything in the world,” you smiled.
“Jack is coming. I hate that he has to see me like this again. Can you please stay? You’re a comforting presence to him and I think it would be good for him to see you here too.”
“Aaron, of course.” Of course.
--
You stood next to Jessica, watching the way Jack clung tightly to his dad. Their bond was special, and you supposed that Haley’s passing had only made it stronger.
When they broke their hug, Jack made himself comfortable next to Aaron, his short legs hanging off the side of the hospital bed.
“Aunt Jess,” he said and pointed at you. “This is Y/N. She’s my other aunt!” he added with pride.
“Oh, the famous Y/N. He talks about you a lot,” Jessica said and offered you a kind smile.
“It’s so nice to finally meet you,” you said, shaking her hand. “I wish it was under different circumstances.”
Leaving Aaron alone with Jessica to give them some privacy, you ended up with Jack on your lap. Your hand was playing with his blond hair as you were chatting with him.
He had many questions and you couldn’t blame him.
“Is daddy in pain?”
“Not anymore,” you said. “The doctors made him okay.”
“Then why is he still in the hospital?”
“It’s because the doctors have to make sure he stays okay.”
“But is he coming home soon?”
“Of course.” You left a sweet kiss on the top of his head to comfort him.
“Will you come with us?”
“I’m sorry, my angel, I can’t. I have to go home to uncle Sean.”
Jack pouted and rested his head on your chest. “I wish you were daddy’s girlfriend instead.”
--
Sean insisted on picking you up from the hospital himself.
You found him outside, leaning on his car and bringing a cigarette between his lips.
He was wearing a black leather jacket. And he looked good. He looked like a bad boy out of a movie.
It reminded you of your first date. That was exactly how he had been waiting for you outside of your house that night. Back then your heart was beating like crazy.
This time, your heart was just sad.
He took a drag of his cigarette as you approached him. “How is he?”
“He’s gonna be okay,” you said.
“Are you okay?” You couldn’t tell whether his tone was caring or passive aggressive. “Now that you saw him awake?” he added.
You weren’t sure what to reply.
“You were pretty upset.”
“I hate hospitals,” you simply said. It wasn’t convincing. He pretended that it was anyway.
--
You wanted nothing more than to be there for Aaron when he returned home; to take care of him, cook for him, hold him…
But after that short conversation with Sean, you felt like you were walking on eggshells around him. Especially when it came to his brother. You couldn’t risk sneaking out. Not that soon.
So you went back to the thing you and Aaron knew how to do best: phone calls.
The problem was they weren’t enough. They never were.
And now some time had passed and Aaron had already returned to work and you still hadn’t seen him.
“I was just now thinking of you,” you said, answering your phone.
“Hey,” Aaron said. Just one word from his mouth was enough for you to decide what kind of mood he was in.
“Tough case?” you asked.
“Yeah. Just needed to hear your voice.”
“I wish I was there to hold you,” you whispered. You didn’t hide your thoughts from him anymore.
“Come to me then,” he simply said.
“Aaron, don’t say things like that to me because I’ll do it,” you warned him.
“I want you to.”
There was a moment of silence and you had both made up your minds.
You hopped in the shower before wearing your prettiest underwear. Something inside you was telling you that you were gonna be doing more than just hold him.
--
Aaron opened the door and a second later you were in his arms, his lips pressed against yours.
“We’re alone,” he murmured against your mouth.
“Good,” you said and let him lift you up in his arms, wrapping your legs around his waist.
He was strong again.
“I’m not hurting you, am I?” you asked him as he led you to his bedroom. It was more teasing than concern. You knew he was okay, he reassured you about it every single day.
“Don’t worry,” he said and softly laid you down on his bed. He crawled on top of you and looked into your eyes with a smirk. “I’m healed. And I can finally fuck my baby the way she deserves.”
His lips were finally on yours again and you pulled him close to your body using both your hands and legs.
“Need you…” you whined.
“I’ll give you everything,” he said. “Everything.”
You helped him out of his clothes and he did the same until you were both in your underwear.
He kneeled between your legs, looking at you, staring and admiring. You had never felt prettier than you felt that moment under his gaze.
“I bought them for you,” you said, running your hands over your chest and down to your panties.
He smiled.
“He’s never seen them.” You didn’t need to say his name for him to understand you were referring to Sean.
He leaned in and kissed your lips. “Good girl,” he said and your tummy felt funny.
Aaron started pressing kisses against your cheek and then your jaw, your neck, your collarbone, your stomach…until his face was between your legs.
“Are you wet?” he asked.
“Yes.”
He mouthed you over the fabric of your lingerie. “You were just as desperate the first time I touched you,” he said. He lifted his gaze to look at you, removing his mouth from you for a moment.
You held back a whine at the loss of contact, as if it would cover up the desperation he had just mentioned.
“Can I take them off, baby?” he asked sweetly.
You nodded your head and he grabbed the sides of your panties, pulling them down.
Aaron was taking his sweet time and the anticipation was killing you.
“Aaron…” you said with urgency.
He wrapped an arm around your thigh and brought it over his shoulder. “A bit impatient, aren’t we?”
He left a few kisses on the inside of your thigh. You thought that he was trying to drive you crazy – and even though he was doing just that– you soon realized that he was simply trying to savor every moment of your first time.
The feeling of his tongue on you made you arch your back and shut your eyes. Your hands went immediately to his hair, tugging at it at every wave of pleasure that went through your body.
Aaron’s hands were gripping your thighs, and you would be worried about your skin bruising if you weren’t feeling so damn good.
You opened your eyes to look at him. Seeing his black hair between your legs reminded you of your first fantasy about him.
“Fuck…” you moaned at the feeling of him sucking on your clit. “Mm Aaron…”
His hands went to your bra, cupping your tits; your nipples hardening under his touch.
“Take it off,” he ordered and you did without wasting a second. His hands grabbed them again.
Aaron moaned with you - his voice muffled since his mouth was occupied – and that was exactly what you needed to finally let go and cum against his tongue.
He gave a last long lick to your pussy that ended at the beginning of your stomach and then he kissed his way up to your neck. “You’re perfect.”
You cupped his face and made him look at you. “I want you finally inside me.”
His lips were shiny and it was all because of you. You couldn’t resist tracing his lips and then slipping your thumb into his mouth. Aaron sucked on it and then took it out of his mouth, kissing the pad of your finger.
“I want you so bad,” you admitted. “I’ve never wanted anyone like that before.”
“Me neither.”
Soon he was out of his boxers and with a condom in his hands that he had just grabbed from his nightstand.
You stared at him as he put it on. You wanted to see him, observe him, memorize him. You could finally see all of him. That was all you ever wanted, to see and know all of him; know the man that was so closed off and serious, in ways everyone else didn’t. You weren’t the first woman to see him naked but maybe…maybe, you hoped, it was different with you.
He towered over you and lowered himself to kiss you. You wrapped your hands around his neck, deepening the kiss. You could feel his cock pressing on you and it made you even more impatient so you used the heels of your feet to push him closer to you.
“Now, Aaron,” you said.
He pressed a soft kiss against your forehead and suddenly he was inside you.
You were moving slowly at first, his hand was wrapped around your neck but not with the intention of chocking you but more to keep your face in place so he could keep staring into your eyes.
You never knew you could love eye contact that much.
Aaron then grabbed your hands and pulled them over your head so he could intertwine your fingers. You kept looking at him even though he wasn’t forcing you to anymore. Pleasure looked good on him.
“Go faster. Please,” you said breathless and you didn’t need to ask twice.
“Fuck, it’s so good, baby,” he sighed. “It’s so good, it’s perfect.”
He wasn’t going to last long, it was obvious, but you didn’t mind. You were close too.
“I wish I didn’t have to wear a condom,” he said, his hands now on your hips, pushing you harshly against him. “I wish I could fill your pretty pussy with my cum and make you mine.”
“I’m already yours,” you moaned. “Yours.”
You wrapped your arms around him as he came, wanting to feel as close to him as possible. Your own orgasm followed right after his.
He collapsed next to you and you both turned your heads to the side so you could look at each other.
“Shit,” you said with a weak breath and the two of you started laughing.
He kissed the tip of your nose and threw the condom away as you made your way to the bathroom.
When you came back he was waiting for you with a glass of cold water.
“My prince,” you joked, taking it from his hands and bringing it to your lips. It was exactly what you needed.
Aaron lied down and stretched out his arm, signaling you to join him in bed. You, of course, wanted nothing more than to cuddle with him so you were in his arms in no time.
You buried your face in the crook of his neck, breathing him in. “This isn’t enough, I need to crawl inside you,” you said making him giggle.
“Y/N?” he said, playing with your hair.
“Yeah?”
“I love you.”
“I love you too.” You said it with no hesitation. After almost losing him it was clear to you who your heart belonged to.
“I’m gonna leave him,” you said after a few moments of silence. He didn’t reply so you continued. “I made the decision the moment your lips touched mine for the first time. I was gonna do it the next day I swear.”
He used his finger to tilt your chin up so he could look into your eyes.
“But then he started talking,” you said. “He said all these things about finally being happy. About how grateful he is to have me. And I couldn’t do it, Aaron. I couldn’t. And I hate myself for it, because what I’m doing to him now is much worse.”
“Hey…” he whispered and moved his thumb back and forth against your cheek. “It’s okay.”
It wasn’t. But his voice was so soft and sweet that you believed him. Even if it wasn’t okay, it would be, as long as you had him by your side.
“I’m never gonna leave you alone,” he said as if he had read your thoughts. “We’re gonna figure everything out together. I promise.”
“Why didn’t I meet you first?” you whined, hiding your face on his chest.
“I wish I had a time machine,” he said. “I would walk into that bar the night you met him and I would tell you ‘Hello, I’m Aaron. You don’t know me but I’m saving us from a lot of trouble right now.’ Then I’d pick you up, throw you over my shoulder and steal you away.”
You giggled. “What’s concerning is that I’d show no resistance ‘cause I’d think you’re so handsome.”
He laughed loudly and pulled you so close to him you were on top of his body.
“Is that right?” he smirked.
“Mhm…” you nodded and kissed his lips with a lovesick smile. He kissed you back with the same smile on his face.

More Than You Could Ever Know
Characters: Steve Rogers x Reader
Summary: Steve becomes your knight in shining armour, but things start to get a little too close to the truth for comfort.
Word Count: 1763 words
Prompt: #19: Fake dating to appease the parents but it turns real.
A/N: The lovely @zaramarrogers chose this prompt for the wonderful Mr. Steve Rogers, and I think it is super cute.
Steve looked up from his sketchbook as you burst into the room. “Okay, which of you fantastic, amazing, kind, wonderful, handsome men are prepared to be my fake boyfriend for an evening? I can offer a free three course meal at a nice restaurant and free drinks. Though not enough for you to get drunk because you need to impress my parents.”
“I would love to offer my services, but I think Pepper would kill me.” Tony grinned, leaning on the back of the sofa.
“Yeah, your ‘playboy’ days are long gone, Stark, but thank you for the hypothetical offer.”
“Don’t take Barnes,” Sam smirked, “He’ll scare the crap out of everyone with that murder stare of his, and his resting bitch face.”
“Hey! I’ve not got resting bitch face.” Bucky frowned, utilizing his murder stare.
“Look, I don’t care which one of you steps up here, I just need someone because I cannot sit through another Christmas family celebration with all my aunts and uncles, my grandparents, my parents, everyone, and have that same damned conversation. The one where everyone tries to work out what’s wrong with me because I’m still single. Just once, I would like to just have a nice night, so will someone do me a solid here?”
The fact you didn’t care who did you this favour made Steve’s stomach drop. He had been hoping the two of you had been moving towards being closer, that you might have sort him out to ask this favour of him, but that wasn’t the case.
“Well, Hope wouldn’t be overjoyed about Scott playing that role. Bucky is too scary, Clint is too grumpy, Tony is too under the thumb, so I guess...” Sam grinned, watching Steve out the corner of his eye.
“I’ll do it.” Steve blurted out, not wanting Sam to offer first. The thought of you pretending to be with anyone, or even really being with anyone, made his blood run cold. He wanted you more than you would ever realise, and if this was as close as he was going to get then he would take it.
“Really?” Your face lit up with a smile and you practically bounced over to him, kneeling on the sofa beside him and wrapping your arms around his shoulders. “You really are the best, Steve Rogers. Total life saver. Thank you, thank you, thank you!” You enthused and Steve basked in your happiness, watching with a goofy smile as you bounded out of the room to get ready for the family gathering.
“Thought you were gonna fumble that one, man.” Sam smirked. “Now go show the girl how good you would be together. Take the shot.”
Steve was nervous and as he stood beside you outside the restaurant, he tried to swallow down his anxiety. This was a huge amount of pressure. What if your family didn’t like him? What if he did something and you saw him differently? When your hand slipped into his, he looked down at you and gave you a reassuring smile. He was here for you, to give you a nice evening, everything else didn’t matter.
“You ready? You remember the back story and everything?”
“This isn’t my first mission, doll. I can do this.”
“Right, well, here we go.”
He held the door open for you and as soon as the two of you entered you were engulfed in hugs by women of various ages. The warm welcome caught Steve off guard, but he smiled and returned greetings, even blushed at the compliments that came his way.
“Come, come sit. We’ve got the large table at the back. Now then, Steve, I can see why she kept you all to herself, she obviously didn’t want to share such a fine young man.” Your mother teased as she hooked her arm through his and led him off to the table. Steve looked over his shoulder at you, a hint of panic in his eyes.
“You’ve got this.” you mouthed, giving him two thumbs up as you followed behind.
By the time everyone had made their way through the starters, Steve was feeling much more comfortable. His arm rested on the back of your chair, and he made sure to keep you close. He joked with your grandfather, talked sports with your father, even shared some stories about life outside of missions. Every few minutes, he would glance at you, checking in, and make sure you were okay and enjoying yourself.
Leaning into Steve as you talked to your aunt across the table, you couldn’t help but notice how easy this all was. He made you laugh as much as Bucky did, was as interesting as Bruce, could weave a story as well as Tony, in fact, he was pretty much the perfect boyfriend. Fake boyfriend, you mentally corrected yourself. This was all pretend after all, there was no need to get caught up in thoughts of what could definitely never be.
You tuned back into Steve’s conversation as dessert was placed on the table. It seemed that someone had asked about when he realised you were the one for him. A sense of panic washed over you, this was not something you had covered in the extensive backstory you’d concocted.
“You know, people talk about these big moments, all dramatic and emotional. It wasn’t like that. I was coming back from a workout late one night, I couldn’t sleep, and I headed to the kitchen to grab a drink. She was sat at the counter wearing a huge hoodie that drowned her, hair all disheveled from sleep, pillow creases still on her cheek, and her hands wrapped around a warm mug. She looked all sleepy and on the verge of falling asleep right there on the counter. I had this overwhelming urge to just pick her up and carry her to her bed, tuck her in and just be with her. Not that I told her any of that because I was fairly certain I didn’t stand a chance. I mean, look at her, she’s amazing. So, there I was, just looking at her like some love stuck teenager or something, and she rubbed her eye, yawned and then fell backwards off the stool. I don’t think I’ve ever moved so fast in my life! I caught her, made sure she was sitting securely, and she looked up at me and said, ‘Hey Cap, didn’t see you there.’ That was it. As if she just knew I’d stop her from falling even if she didn’t know I was there.”
Your cheeks grew warm. You remembered that night, it had been so long ago, and you were surprised that was the moment he’d chosen to share. Watching his expression, you suddenly began to understand how much that moment had meant to him. Replaying all your interactions with Steve, it felt as if a floodgate of realisation had been opened. Innocent interactions now held so much significance. Small touches, the times you caught him looking at you, the words that hung in the air between you unspoken.
“And what about you, dear? When did you realise Steve was the one?” Your Grandmother asked and you felt all eyes on you, expectant.
“I, erm, I needed someone to help me with this thing, this mini mission, and Steve was the first to offer to help. He put so much work into it, made sure it all went perfectly and he always seems to surprise me. I never really thought about it before but he’s right, I know he will always be there to catch me, and I want to be there for him too. There have been so many little moments, helping me with tree day and dancing to cheesy Christmas music. He is... he’s wonderful, and I am very lucky to have him in my life.” You glanced up at Steve who was looking at you as if you hung the stars.
The moment was broken by the cheers as the last of the desserts arrived and everyone could tuck in. Steve found he wasn’t all that hungry. The butterflies in his stomach took up more room than he would like, and his mind was whirling. Did you mean what you had said? Was it part of the pretence? Did you like him too? It wasn’t as if he could ask you any of that in front of your family, so he kept quiet, indulging in small talk and trying his best not to get his hopes up.
Steve managed to hold in all his questions until you arrived back at the compound. As you trudged up the gravel driveway towards the main door, he tugged at your hand, silently asking you to stop. Once you entered the building then the evening would be over, the pretence would be done with, and he needed just a few more moments.
“Tonight was...” he began, trailing off as he got distracted by your eyes.
“You were a big hit. I think I will have to bring you along to all future family gatherings or I’ll never hear the end of it.” you chuckled.
“I wouldn’t mind that.” he said softly, running his thumb over yours.
“No?”
“No. I could very easily get used to being your boyfriend.”
The lack of the word ‘fake’ hung between you, the silence loaded.
“So, if this was a date then what happens next?” You asked, your eyes darting momentarily to his lips.
“Well, I would escort you to your door, thank you for a wonderful evening, and...”
You surged up and pressed your lips to his before he could finish his sentence. It took him a moment to catch up with what was happening, but as soon as he did, he was kissing you back eagerly. His arms wrapped around you, holding you close as if you might evaporate or vanish like a dream. When he eventually pulled back a little, he rested his forehead against yours.
“You have no idea how long I’ve wanted to do that.” He said breathily.
“Then maybe we should make up for lost time.” You hummed, cupping his face and bringing him in for another kiss.

I hope one day I can come to terms that I won’t be able to experience anything w/those I love n care for. I hope one day I can emotionally and mentally prepare for when me and my family n friends are at an age where we won’t be healthy. It’s getting close. My aunt somehow got a miracle and no longer has cancer and it wasn’t too tough of a fight but it’s just so scary. I see my uncle’s, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews. Shit even my own dogs and my dad are at a constant state of change and it scares me because I see the age on their face and it makes me think about how many years I have left with them and even 40 years seems like such a small amount of time. I hope before my dad passes away, I can show to him I can take care of myself and him as well. I wasn’t the best daughter these past couple years and I really wanna make up for it; especially because he’s the only parent I have and he may not be the best dad but he’s doing his best with what he knows. I can tell he cares and that he’s trying. Same with my sister, I hope one day I can build up a better relationship with her because she’s the only other person connecting me directly to mom. I’m not a very good person myself now that I look at it but regardless of if I am bad, it doesn’t mean I can’t change. I can feel my ideals and beliefs shaping themselves even more so than ever. I’m confused rn. I’m lost. I’m scared. I’m terrified of the idea that one day there won’t be a world for me to experience. One day it’ll most likely be an eternal slumber and I won’t ever experience anything ever again. And that makes me scared because I am such a loving person that I always want to be with those I love. And then another part of me is a little scared as well at the idea of what if it doesn’t end after we die? What if we experience something terrifying? I know it’s just an irrational thought but I can’t help but let my thoughts run amok. I guess that’s what makes me human but I really cannot fathom the idea that one day, I won’t be able to see Allen or Ryan. I won’t be able to call up krissy or the discord group to play ow. I can’t eat delicious foods. It’s all so sad but yet I also feel relieved at the thought that if death is just an endless slumber, i won’t have to do anything anymore. No more thinking either. I’ll become stardust once more as we all once started in this world. I hope me, my family and my friends remain healthy for the rest of our lives. I don’t want any of us to experience pain.

back 2 fixing things.
but i'm happy with how these two sound. thinking now: things could be brighter in one, or harsher, and i figured out exactly how to do that i think, i need to peak a couple freqs a bunch, super resonances in the high mids/ super highs, and that'll work really well.
it's fun solving problems and thinking about sound, i was thinking about why some of these riffs are hard to mix, and because some are written pretty low/ with lower notes (2nd octave, around c2 i guess, so not way low, but, like, maybe relatively) there's a lot happening in the mids, bunches of fundamentals there, and so a lot of the texture sits right beside that note information, and the notes coming thru clearly/not distorted feeling enough has been a problem, but i can focus on those ranges precisely, not just w/ the peaking trick but i can like, actually strategically use multiband distortion. but i was thinking about how when you play bass, the high end noises/nonmusical features can end up kind of accentuated, just as the sound happens, there's more space for those to sit, but the smearing in guitar, even simulated, is harder to deal with, plus chords being complicated by all the note interaction or whatever and stuff. i don't know a lot about music really, at least theory, i only really feel confident in dealing with sound, and mostly it's an intuitive process. so like i don't know about anything.
right now i am listening to haruomi hosono's video game music. this stuff is such an intense pleasure. this stuff is genius. the fact that these songs are interrupted by the sound effects in these games, these atonal shots across the tonal field, i feel kinship with it, it knows it's funny, and it's genius. it also reminds me of mario 3, and how my aunt used to play it, that particular kind of sound chip, one of the greatest sounds, to be sure. the kitchen where my aunt played mario 3 while cooking, the kitchen where my uncle made gyoza by hand at times, and where he played world of warcraft, the computer my aunt played mario 3 on being the very computer my older cousins showed me scary maze game on, where i ran from that beloved kitchen shrieking, and where my uncle let me watch him play world of warcraft in silence, and seeing my interest, let me use his account, and at home playing, i had experiences too soon, that i should not have had at 6 or 8. but i did. all of this only makes me love life. that computer changed hands 3 times, from each cousin down, until my nearest in age cousin owned it, that tan tower, the hefty crt, it's all gone now, but i loved that thing, that computer so old, it still used floppies. i love that a floppy disc pc was part of my life, a deep thing lodged in me.
now listening to the pole position track, i really feel connected to this, using simple synthesis and illusions to create the sense that you are hearing something not there, in my case guitars, in this case, vehicles, accidents, and people screaming. hosono is obviously working with harder stuff though, i'm only able to cheat with distortion, he really picked the sounds down to their simplest elements and worked out how to make them feel like something.
and dig dug now, i remember getting this on a plug n play from my stepdad, and earlier, from my stepmom. i had good times with those. dig dug is a game i never got good at, i'm not good at any games, but i loved dig dug.
maybe people would say these old games are clumsy, but tim roger's excessively long video about pac man is maybe one of the most moving things ever, all of this was highly intentional at the start.
now i'm listening to kap bambino and i don't know where my phone is.
today broadly was either nice or really stressful, cooking dinner was stressful, a bag of candy my gf had fell onto all the dishes which didn't get them dirty or anything it was a really inconvenient mess and then an egg rolled off the counter while i was trying to put something back in the fridge and then i made a bunch of smoke happen because i let the lid on while heating oil (why, i don't know, i say it every day now, i'm like actually way stupid, i don't deserve to live i make so many problems) and dinner was fine i think, i liked it even, it was just a lot of stress and frustration in the kitchen, i guess that will make sleep better.
sometimes i wish i had more help in the kitchen, but it's so small, and my gf never really learned about cooking or even learned about helping to cook, so she would be very awkward and probably end up frustrating me when i need to move somewhere or something, and i'm so used to doing everything alone and when i helped my mom i got good at intuiting how to stay out of her way so she wouldn't get mad at me, it's just a difficult arrangement in the apartment. she hates cleaning or getting her hands wet, so she doesn't wanna do dishes. it's fine that i do all of it. i have no job, she makes all the money and stuff. it's just frustrating sometimes i guess. it's stupid though, she pays for my existence, i can do everything else.
and there's some really awful canker sore at the back of my mouth, it feels so raw right now. ugh. a constant sharp pain, i wish i didn't have to be inside of my body right now.
it's crazy how tiny inconveniences can make me want to fall to the floor and curl up and wait until i die.
so anyways, byebye!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~
Background
Hometown: Miramar in San Diego, California (for this AU it’s gonna stay in San Diego and Aricka lives there even when her dad is deployed
Education: high school diploma, bachelor of aviation, associates in music therapy
First memory: meeting her dad when she’s four years old. She was in a big scary place for the first time and her mama wouldn’t hold her but she was holding Remy (Jeremy), and why were they even in the big, loud scary airport to begin?
And then she sees a man with her eyes and smile looking back at her and she suddenly feels like everything is okay. She finds out that the man is her daddy, and wow, isn’t that AWESOME, her daddy wears a cool black jacket and still carried a pink teddy bear around with him until he found her. She stepped forward and wrapped her arms around him as far as she could reach and he pulled her close to him, and Aricka remembers feeling safer than she’d ever felt.
Worst memory: when her aunt Carole and uncle Ice were both diagnosed with cancer almost two months apart. It was a scary time in her family’s lives, and things got jumbled around, including how Aricka and Bradley were cared for, but neither kid felt like they were being ignored or left behind, cause they always had each other when the adults were busy.
Both her aunt Carole and uncle Ice were in remission nearly a year after their initial diagnoses, but that time in which they fought it was the worst memory Aricka has ever experienced.
Best memory (as a child) : when Aricka was seven years old, her dad and her unofficial yet official stepmom/true mom Penny took her to the pet store; and she got to pick out her very own puppy. She was wandering the aisles; listening to all the barking and yapping and sticking her fingers carefully through the fencing to let several puppies sniff her fingers, but she didn’t find the puppy she wanted until the very last cage, when she found a scared, grey, shy Great Dane puppy hiding in the corner of the area. She begged the owner to let her in to try and earn the pup’s trust, and with some time, love and patience, the pup eventually rested its head in her lap, Aricka talking softly to him and promising to be its friend. “Don’t worry Scooby,” she said, “we were alone before but now we have family and each other. That’s all we need.”
(A/N: Scooby-Doo premiered in 1969, so it would make total sense for Aricka to name her puppy after him if she’d watched the show.)
Best memory (as an adult): when Bradley asked her to marry him. Story to be revealed later on :).
Most important childhood event: when Aricka was eight years old, her dad was promoted to the rank of captain, and she got to play a role in his ceremony. She, along with Bradley, got the big honor of pinning the captain insignia on her and Bradley’s dads’ uniforms Her hands only shook a little bit, but she got the pin on the first time she tried, and then her and Bradley sat together and held hands quietly the rest of the ceremony. As soon as it was over, both kids were running to their dads to congratulate them; and Pete spun his daughter around and kissed her temple as she told him how proud she was of him.
Most influenced by: her dad, her uncle Nick, her aunt Ricki, her uncle Blake, her mom Penny, her best friends: Bradley, Jake and Bob, and her uncle Ice.
Role models: her mom Penny; her aunt Ricki, her aunt Carole; her future best friends: Natasha and Callie, Brooke Shields, Patti LuPone, Bernadette Peters, Lea Solonga, Jodie Benson, Howard Ashman, Alan Menken, Olivia Newton-John, and Dolly Parton.
Who does she live with and why: She lives with her dad- and eventually her twin brother, stepmom and two half siblings- because her mom in part wanted her dad to be able to raise one of his children and in part because she didn’t want a daughter.
Where does she want to live and why: she wants to live in Anaheim so she can go to Disneyland whenever she wants to- even as an adult.
Type of childhood: she never went without love, she was spoiled in the best way possible. Her aunts and uncles loved her deeply because for a little while her and Bradley were the only two babies in the cobbled together “‘86 Squad Family,” as they dubbed themselves. Both of them were treated like royalty but they also were taught the importance of the word No and learning when enough was enough. Her dad tried to give her everything she wanted to make up for the neglect she faced in the first four years of her life. But she had all she needed with her dad, her best friend, and her aunts and uncles and cousins.
bhodi’s name is pronounced as bo (like in boat) and di (like in dip)
requests are open btw! ask anything or drop any thirsts/headcanons/ideas into my inbox and i’ll write asap :) (nsfw is allowed)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
bhodi ‘bo’ falor - the sweetheart
age: 24
birthday: july 12th
physical attributes:
shoulder length golden blonde hair
bright blue green eyes
6″1
very pale skin
slim and he looks frail
is actually stronger than he looks
has a soft and calm voice
always smiling
a bit of an overthinker tbh
personality traits:
is so so sweet and so so pure
is very gentle
couldnt hurt a fly tbh
he has a warm personality; always tries to make people feel comfortable around him
rarely ever gets angry
has a tendency to get upset tho
he can be a bit impulsive
and he’s very emotional
just a very sensitive boi
meeting you:
in a world where karma isnt your yandere, bhodi is
bo and karma are best friends
practically like brothers
you could say they are basically two sides of the same coin
but when it comes to romance, they're drastically different.
the thing is, women have always preferred karma to him
bo didn't really blame them tbh
karma was richer than him, taller than him, even more handsome
bhodi always felt like he would never be good enough to be the first choice
especially since women only flirted with him either to get to karma or because karma rejected them.
everyone loved bhodi tho.
but only ever as a friend.
so imagine his surprise when he hears a rumour that someone at work has a crush on him
he didn't believe it at first
it was just a stupid rumour
no one would ever have a crush on him
not when karma was still around
a month passed and the rumour resurfaced
this time with a name attached to it
(y/n).
he remembers meeting you.
he was the one who interviewed you for the job
you were so intelligent
with a cute smile
you were such a pretty little thing
like a delicate little butterfly
a butterfly that bhodi wanted all for himself
are they aware that they are a yandere? are they bothered by it?
bhodi knows he's a yandere and it does bother him to a certain extent. however, karma always tries to reassure him about his yandere tendencies.
yandere tendencies:
yandere type: obsessive/stalker
bhodi is the human resources manager at the Elios group
that means he has access to all the staff information folders
and he may or may not have a duplicate of your staff folder in his home office
its not like he means to pry
he just desires to know every single thing about you
he also has a mic installed in your workspace (he got this tip from karma)
also like karma, bo will date/court you normally
but he will take a long time to approach you romantically
he'd rather just observe until he feels confident enough to tell you about his feelings
or until someone tries to date you
oh yeah btw
bhodi has a tendency to kill love rivals.
he also breaks into your house a lot
and always drops you a cute little note before he leaves
he wont put cameras in your house tho
just microphones
cause he'd feel like a pervert staring at you in a vulnerable state
he doesn't mind hearing you tho, hence the microphones
he also somehow finds a way to put a tracking device on your phone
when you and bhodi start dating, he will just come off as a clingy and jealous person
you might get worried sometimes cause it can be a bit scary
but you'd never suspect that he's a yandere
he's 'too sweet' for that.
fun facts/trivia:
not a lot of people know things about bhodi
he's friendly and nice ofc, but people just dont know much about him.
and he doesn't say a lot about himself either
bhodi has an older brother and they were raised by their uncle and aunt
he wears strongly medicated glasses and cant see people's faces from a distance without them
he has very pretty hands (he used to be a hand model in uni) and he gets manicures regularly
the nails on his left hand are always painted black, but the nails on his right hand are always painted a different colour every 2 weeks
bhodi has a degree in both psychology and business administration (he did a double major)
when he first started to fall for you, he paid for you to recieve flowers to your doorstep every single day
and on weekends, you get your favourite breakfast delivered with your favourite flowers
bhodi's favourite colour is pink.
he has a notebook full of information about you
he also loves to take photographs
please dont ask how many photos he has of you.
Hii can I get if it’s okay a Rinne, tatsumi and Rei confession scene either one confessing first is okay and there reactions, especially on tatsumi hehe <3 and uh please not a church scenario LDNSJKS <33
☆—AMAGI RINNE
Who confesses first: Rinne! Though you don’t really get it at first…
How: ??? I’m not even sure???
You’d like to think that with all the time you’ve spent with Crazy:B, you’re pretty desensitised to their idiosyncrasies.
There’s logic to their chaos, which you’ve slowly come to understand over the course of all the months you’ve been stuck with CosPro’s finest.
Kohaku-chan is pretty quiet, like he was forced to grow up too fast, but he acts more his age around people he trusts. HiMERU-san is also quiet, though they’re more of the ‘unconscious’ quiet, like they’re so used to hiding parts of themself they aren’t sure how to let them show.
Niki-chan’s the easiest to get along with, friendly and open. And of course, there’s Rinne.
He’d annoyed you a lot at first, but you think you’re justified since that’s basically his trademark at this point.
But you’d come to understand that he’s not all that bad. He can be a brat, sure, but he’s got his own brand of amazing.
So you’re definitely surprised when one day Rinne proclaims both you and Niki-chan to be his wives.
Not so surprised that you can’t retaliate, though!
“Shouldn’t I be the husband? I’m always working hard so you guys can do Lives and make money, plus I’m the one taking care of all the paperwork. If anything, I’m the overworked corporate slave husband and you and Niki-chan are my wives!”
Rinne lets out his signature ‘gyahahaha’ laugh but you think you can see a hint of surprise in his eyes.
You’d think that would be the end of it but noooo.
Everywhere you go, you’re no longer introduced as L/N Y/N, CosPro secretary and, like, occasionally Crazy:B’s impulse control. Now you’re just L/N Y/N, Amagi Rinne and Shiina Niki’s husband.
Soon enough, you just…accept it. Okay, I guess I’m your husband now?!
Sure, this means you get hit with the brunt of the marriage jokes but at least you have it better than Niki-chan, who has to deal with the marriage jokes and the stripping jokes.
And you can brag about your gorgeous wives all the time.
☆—KAZEHAYA TATSUMI
Who confesses first: neither of you!
How: who knows? It’s kind of like a ‘didn’t know they were dating situation’
People tend to joke sometimes that you and Tatsumi are the ‘parents’ of Alkaloid, but you like to refute that statement.
Mayoi-chan is the mom, you’re more of the…cool wine aunt? Or vodka uncle, perhaps?
Besides, you’re not even StarPro material. CosPro through and through, that’s you.
You’re the Bad Influence™ on the kids.
Despite taking on the role of Producer–and responsibility that comes with it–you like to think that in a unit with Tatsumi, who leads a…disciplined life, and Mayoi-chan, who is the single most anxious person you have ever met, Hiiro-kun and Aira-chan need a more relaxed individual who can show them that it’s okay to take it easy sometimes.
Tatsumi is often chiding you to show more control since the younger members of Alkaloid look up to you a lot, but you’ve told him that he does that enough for the both of you.
The two of you are always bantering with each other, though it’s mostly you bullying him.
(Lovingly, of course!)
Scary dog privileges except you are the scary dog.
Give each other cheesy nicknames and never hesitate to tell the other you love them.
“Bye kiddos, Mayoi-chan! Gonna bounce, maybe bully Saegusa-kun for a pay raise again… Love you, babydoll~”
“I love you too, angel.”
Literally everyone thinks you’re dating but no one says anything about it because a) they don’t have the courage to ask about it because again, scary dog privileges b) they just assume this is how normal friendships work (looking at you, Hiiro-kun…) or c) they just don’t care enough to bother.
You two are basically those couples on TV, the ones whom no one knows if they’re just friends or secretly dating.
The two of you blur the line between romantic and platonic so often that when you do (finally) date, literally no one is surprised.
(except the ones who already thought you were dating and couldn’t believe that whatever the fuck you two had going on was supposedly ‘platonic’!?)
☆—SAKUMA REI
Who confesses first: you!
How: after he overworks himself…again
You’ve known Rei for quite some time, so you like to think you’re familiar with his habits, both good and bad. So it’s no surprise to you when you find him passed out at his desk.
You sigh. He does have a bad habit of overworking himself…
But you say nothing, proceeding instead to scoop him up in a bridal-style carry.
He’s light enough that it isn’t too hard, though his lankiness forces you to adjust multiple times to make sure he isn’t spilling completely out of your hold.
Carefully as to not wake him, you gently deposit him in his bed before going over to the desk to sort through all the papers. Most of them are proposals for UNDEAD, but there are a few documents that require a more thorough approach.
Honestly, you could just let them be, you’ve done enough, but you decide instead to sit down and start reading.
After all, Rei is someone you care about deeply and you want to help lessen his burden, if only a little bit.
After some time–it might be a few hours, you’re not entirely sure–you feel a weight drop onto your back and a head nuzzle into your neck.
You don’t even give him a chance to explain himself or insist on finishing his work before you’re scolding him, though not as harshly as you should be.
“Rei, you really should be more careful. If you’re going to do things like this next time, I’ll have to follow you around like some sort of guard dog. If you’re taking on too much work, come to us for help next time. We all love you, y’know? You’re not a bother to us.”
He must be more exhausted than you thought because he doesn’t deflect or laugh it off, just makes a noise of affirmation and clings onto you tighter.
“Mm…okay. Love you too.”
Stella | R.L
Paring: Remus Lupin X Wife!Reader
Summary: Stella brings light to many situations to the people she is surrounded with.
The little girl on her lap gasped and rushed to the door as it opened, “Daddy!”
Y/n jumped up from her place on the couch, grabbing her four-year-old daughter, “Hey, not yet. Daddy’s hurting, okay?”
“It’s fine, Y/n.” Remus grunted at Sirius, and James helped him inside, “You sure?” Y/n questioned.
He nodded, and Y/n let her daughter go, running straight first to hug her father, “You’re home!”
“I am home, baby girl.”
Y/n exchanged looks with James and Sirius, “He’ll be okay. Not the worst night we’ve had.”
“Thank you both. Do you want anything?”
“We’re okay.”
James huffed, “I have to get back to Lily and Harry. I'll make sure we stop by soon, okay?”
“Of course.” Y/n smiled as James apparated out, “Siri? How about you?”
“Mind if I crash, sis?” Sirius asked sheepishly, “Never.” Y/n smiled.
Stella let go of her father and then turning to her uncle, “Uncle Siri!”
“Hey, little girl!” Sirius smiled, pulling her into his arms as Y/n dragged Remus to the couch.
Remus had his back to their brown fabric couch. He was grunting and groaning upon impact. Y/n rushed for her wand that remained in the kitchen and taking off her husband's shirt—occasionally moving his hair out of his face and holding his hand. Sirius had thankfully occupied Stella for the time being.
“How was it?” Y/n asked as she whispered incantations on the scratches along his body, “Could’ve been worse.” Remus replied.
Y/n deadpanned, “Seriously though, how was it?”
“Awful, dreadful, painful? Is that what you’d like to hear?”
“I’d like to hear the honest answer, so, yes.”
After a couple of minutes, Sirius had taken Stella upstairs to the guest bedroom - Sirius’ bedroom - to keep her diligent instead of seeing her father bloodied up on their couch. It broke Y/n’s heart to see him in pain like this; nonetheless, their own daughter who seemed to be having the same issue.
After he was finally done, Y/n lifted his head to sit on the couch, his head on her thighs, “How- How was Stella?”
“She was very achy tonight.” Y/n answered, “Headaches, body pain, very fussy. More so than usual.”
“Great.” Remus chuckled bitterly, “Now you have two of us to take care of.”
Y/n cupped his cheek, “Hey, don’t ever think about it that way. You’re my family, and I love taking care of you both. We knew that having children this was possible. Now let’s do the thing your father couldn’t. Let’s love Stella regardless.”
“Let’s show her that who she is isn’t a monster. Let’s be those parents that give her love unconditionally. I know - and it pains me to say this - that you didn’t have that growing up, especially with your father, so please, let’s love Stella.”
Remus nodded, “I’d never leave you guys.”
“Stella will need you - you more than anyone.” Y/n added, “You need to be here, for both of us.”
“Of course, I’d never leave you or my baby girl.”
Y/n smiled softly. Thankful to hear those words. It would be so easy for him to walk away right now. But he wouldn’t, and those words meant absolutely everything to her. Stella only had her parents and Sirius.
Along with her fake uncle James and aunt Lily. But since Lyall - Remus’ father - didn’t like associating with his son due to his condition. And poor Hope, who didn’t know what was going on. They had never met their grandchild.
They met their daughter-in-law once. Hope was such a doll and so sweet. Lyall was a disaster. From the moment they stepped into the house, he was arguing with Remus about something. Both men were so stubborn, so hot-headed. It was nearly impossible to get them to agree on something. But when Lyall finally gave in and called Remus a disgrace, Y/n pulled him out of the house as fast as she could.
Y/n had been called those words, those words and much worse. So had Sirius, for that matter. It meant something entirely different to see it from the outside rather than being the person getting insulted. Y/n saw the way Remus’ fists bunched together and how his jaw clenched. Something terrible was going to happen if Y/n hadn’t taken him out of that situation.
“I love you, Moony.”
Remus smiled drowsily, “I love you too, Mrs.Moony.”
He had fallen asleep on her lap, and Y/n stayed awake just in case he needed anything. After an hour, she heard footsteps on the stairs. It was Sirius, her twin brother, coming down, and he sat on the armchair beside them.
“Wheres Stella?”
“Asleep. Tickled her right to bed.” Sirius answered, “More inconveniently on my bed.” He added.
Y/n snickered, “You can sleep in our bed if you’d like. I don’t think he’ll be moving very soon.”
“No thanks.” Sirius grimaced, “Don’t wanna know what his hormones are like during his furry time.”
At that, she broke into a full laugh, “It’s times like these where I feel like we’re still teens at Hogwarts.”
“Me too, sis.”
It was silent for a while. The only thing being echoed was the cracking from the fireplace—some of Remus’ snores being added into the mixture of sounds. Sirius stared solemnly at the red flames inside the brick canister.
“Do you- Do you miss him?”
“Everyday.” Y/n replied, “Every single day, I wake up and pray that he’ll owl me.”
Sirius sighed, “I feel like I’ve had no time to grieve.”
“Why?”
“I might be doing it on purpose, I dunno.” Sirius responded, “I consume all my time with Stella or Harry, so I don’t have to think about him. But I still do anyway.”
It was quiet for a minute before he spoke up again, “Stella- She- Um- She looks like him.”
“Does she?”
“She does. She really does, and it freaks me out sometimes.” He confessed, “Stella is a female Regulus except with Remus’ hair.”
“It’s scary.”
Y/n chuckled, “I think she’s beautiful.”
“I think maybe that’s why I spend so much time with her.”
“What?”
“She makes me think I’m spending time with Regulus. She looks so much like him that my brain tricks me into thinking she’s him. Like- Like she’s all I have left of him.”
“Sirius, Stella isn’t Regulus.” Y/n admitted, and tears filled Sirius’ eyes, “I know- it’s just- I wish I had more time with him.”
“I know.”
“Sirius, get some sleep, please.” Y/n stated as his eyes began to fall.
Sirius smiled sweetly at her, “Love you, sis.”
“I love you too, Siri.”
Sirius fell asleep on the armchair. Remus asleep on her thighs. Y/n’s hand ran through Remus’ hair while he slept. Light snores echoed throughout the room from Sirius and Remus. The fire crackled in the fireplace, and she felt at peace, despite everything that has happened. Y/n felt so at ease.
Wrong Place At The Right Time - Otto Octavius x Reader Chapter 4
Chapter 4 - Extraordinary in the Ordinary
Things had been going surprisingly smooth with Otto.
Well, as well as could be expected considering that he had technically kidnapped you. But as far as kidnappers go he could have been so much worse. He still had his scary moments but he always snapped out of it and apologised immensely for frightening you. When he went out to “get some things”, it was his way of saying going to do sketchy stuff without ever actually saying it, he would occasionally bring you something to try and keep you happy. Pencils, paper, a book he found. It was almost sweet.
But the thing you were starting to really enjoy was talking to Otto. When he was working he tended to go silent, humming a song to himself but when he took a rare break the two of you would just sit and talk. Talk about whatever popped into your head, within reason of course. Otto tended to avoid questions about his work or his past and you couldn’t blame him. He never pushed you to talk about your own past either, an unspoken agreement between the two of you.
This was the most interesting thing that had ever happened to you in your whole life. That’s right, getting kidnapped by a supervillain was your high point.
You had always been almost painfully unordinary even in your own family, cousins and aunts and uncles were always much more talented. The only exception to this was your grandmother, the only person who saw something extraordinary in the very ordinary.
As you sat and thought you started to wonder, had anyone even noticed you had vanished? Were there newspaper articles and reward posters about you? You wanted to know but at the same time you didn’t want to. You’d feel guilty if people were looking for you, guilty for causing worry and panic. But if there was nothing then it would be the final nail in the coffin, that there was nobody searching for you.
You contemplated asking Otto if he had seen anything about you vanishing. But how would he react? Would it be Otto? Calm and understanding or would it be Doc Ock who responded?
The man in question looked up from his work noticing that he could no longer hear the sounds of your pencils moving against the paper. It was a sound that had started to become almost comforting to him, something to keep him grounded.
“Y/n? Are you alright?”
You blinked a few times and looked over at him “y-yeah I’m ok…” your voice wavered and you heard the arms making noises and moving as close to you as they could with Otto still at his desk. But that soon changed as Otto stood up, lifting his glasses off his face and sat next to you on the couch. “Y/n… what’s the matter?” You hesitated for a moment before finally starting to talk about the worries on your mind “Otto… when you’ve been out… are people looking for me?”
Octavius tensed up, the voices in his head whispering louder but he ignored them as best as he could. You were already clearly upset about this and him getting angry or yelling wouldn’t help. You needed comfort. “And don’t lie to me.”
That’s what really cemented his thoughts about your current mood. You needed honesty about this situation, a lie would only hurt you more.
He took a deep breath and spoke very quietly “I…. haven’t seen anything about you…” You were silent for a moment and then for the first time in the week you had been with Otto, you cried. You had no one and that loneliness finally got to your heart.
Then you felt something nude against your elbow. You looked and saw one of the actuators. It had bumped against your elbow and was almost nuzzling into you. That made you cry even harder, covering your face with your hands and hunching over a little.
Otto wanted to say something, to say something that would end your tears but no words came to him. He just sat next to you as you cried until he carefully pulled you into his arms, holding you against his chest. Words would not help but this action might, some warmth and comfort.
So now you were crying against the bare chest of Otto Octavius. His arms and hands were warm and you could feel his heart beating. “Otto… I understand that is probably messed up to say all things considered but… I think you’re the only person in New York that cares about me on some level” That surprised him, you were bright and kind. He found it hard to believe that you were so alone. But he knew better than to judge people and make assumptions based on the limited idea he had of a person. But for now all he could do was hold you close to him.
“Y/n… you’re a talented person, you have this… way of looking at things, of looking at me. You’re extraordinary” You tensed up and wrapped your arms around him as best as you could without accidentally touching the actuators. You didn’t want to make him feel uncomfortable, you say as you are pressed up against his chest. He rubs your back and whispers softly to try and calm you down.
The warmth between the pair of you was nice.
For you it was comforting and warm. Otto smelt like a mix of leather and smoke and it was oddly comforting.
And for Otto? It was the first kind contact he had had since… since he lost Rosie. He felt a pain in his heart by remembering his late wife but that was a pain he could deal with. Right now all that mattered to him was looking after you. But eventually you let go of Otto. Wiping your tears away and taking a deep shaky breath “Thank you Otto… sorry for-”
“There’s no need to apologise Y/n. You’ve been through a lot, no thanks to me. The most I can do is look after you when you need it.” He carefully cupped your face and wiped away any loose tears with his thumbs “I’ll get you some water, you need to hydrate after your tears”
Otto stood up and walked away, the warmth of his words and embrace had warmed your heart. He was a good man.
You just had the feeling he didn’t see himself in such a light.
Rebel - Chapter 12
Main Masterlist Series Masterlist Summary- (Y/N) Is a Matt Murdocks 14 year old daughter who is just entering high school and is really struggling. She doesn't have a regular life having a blind father. He can't help with homework, Can't give her a have a ride to school, He can't see how often her face falls when she lies to him. Of course she has her Uncle Foggy and Aunt Karen but (Y/N) feels like to much of a burden until the one and only Frank Castle comes into her life and seems to be more of a father figure then Matt ever has.
When Karen opens her door she smiles and says "Oh good you are here!" You look past her to see Frank and your eyes widen. His face matches yours and looks at Karen. "You said it was urgent are you okay? Why is the kid here?" He asks as Karen shuts the door behind you both. "It was urgent..." She begins as she slides her flats off.
"... I thought it would be a good idea to get some take out and talk for a bit. You give a looks of disbelief and Frank starts pacing and says. " Jesus Karen I am still being hunted like a dog and you wanted to invite me to do some tea party?" He says irritated and pauses and looks at you. "Did you plan this?" He asks and you give him a 'Da fuck' Look. "No why would I plan this? Just because you gave me your number doesn't mean I will be your best friend... Plus being recently out of jail not legally might I add is weird." Frank gives a shocked look and almost in amusement but it was cut short by a knock on the door and Frank makes a mad dash to the bathroom to hide.
Karen pays and brings in the food and sets it on the kitchen counter. "You can come out now!" Karen calls out as she sets out the food which is now reveled to be Chinese food. Frank storms out and says "Karen now is not the time I need to leave." He says starting to head for the door pulling up his hood but she gets in front of him. "No you sit, we are eating if you like it or not! Sit down." She gives a harsh glare and he sighs and pulls his hood down and walks over to the food and everyone grabs their portion and sits on the couch. Everyone is silent and Karen nudges Frank with her elbow and he glare but she motions to you. "So uh... Kid how is your injuries healing?" You shrug and say "They are fine... But everyone treats me like I am made of glass and Karen seems to understand that I don't need to be treated that way." Karen nods and Frank keeps a neutral look. "My dad and uncle won't let me out of their sight and my friends are ignoring me..." You grumble and stab at your food. "I'm sorry (Y/N). It will get better..." Karen says and sighs. "Oh wait want to see what I got!" Karen exclaims as she sets her food and goes over to her closet. "She can be very scary..." You say and Franks lips twitch into a smirk as Karen returns with a guitar case. "I found this in the dumpster and it is in great condition! You always said you wanted to learn how to play right (Y/N)?" You nod "Yeah but no one can teach me..." Karen immediately looks at Frank. "You play right Frank!" She says shoving the case into his hands. "What? I-" He gets cut off by Karen "Teach her to play! Go ahead do it!" Both you and Frank look uncomfortable but the look in Karen's eyes says it isn't a suggestion. He opens the case and strums the strings and begins to tune it.
An hour has past and everyone is enjoying themselves and laughing. At this point you know how to play a few cords. "Keep practicing you are doing good kid." Frank chuckles and you whine " My fingers hurt" which makes Karen laugh and Frank says "Your fingers will get callouses and it won't hurt to much." You pout and look down as you start again. Karen notices how Frank looks at you. His eyes show that he misses this kind of interaction, they show hurt, and she just smiles. "I have to go Karen." He says standing up. You look up at him and smile "Thank you Frank." You nod and Karen gives him a pat on the back. "It was nice seeing you Frank." She says and guides him to the door. He leaves and waves and she shuts the door. "That was fun!" Karen says smiling as she starts cleaning up. You nod in agreement "Yeah it was nice..." Karen pauses at your tone. “What's wrong hon?" She asks and you sigh. "That was the most fun I have had in a long time and I don't know how to feel right now... My dad treats me like a porcelain doll and it pisses me off." Karen nods and puts down what she was cleaning and moves to your side and hugs you. "I'm sorry (Y/N)... You have been very independent and this is a massive change for you. Maybe you need to voice your concerns but for now how about you play a little bit while I clean." She says smiling. You nod and begin playing the chords you have recently learned.
Valentine Baby
Pairing: Dad!Yoongi x Mom!OC
Genre: fluff
Word Count: 0.6k
Warnings: none
Summary: Yoongi and Rosaelia welcome their newborn the night before Valentine’s Day.
“How do you feel about spending Valentine’s Day in the hospital?” Rosaelia asked softly.
She’d just delivered her son a couple hours earlier, hours before Valentine’s Day started. It was ironic. They’d chosen his name to be Valentine long before he’d been due on the day he shared a name with.
Yoongi chuckled as he cradled his newborn. “I don’t mind. Maybe Isa can come by in the morning?”
“I bet she was disappointed she couldn’t come see him tonight.”
“Oh yeah. She threw a fit when I told her it was bedtime.”
Rosaelia smiled. “I can’t believe we have two kids now.”
“Me neither.” Yoongi paused. “No more after this one.” He pressed his finger lightly into Valentine’s nose.
“I second that,” Rosaelia laughed.
The two of them had planned to have no kids. In fact, it had been something they’d mutually agreed on when getting married. No kids. The two of them had dedicated themselves to being the best aunt and uncle on the planet, but having kids of their own was too scary to fathom.
But then Isabella had surprised them. She’d been their brazen little baby from day one. And they’d decided they needed no more kids then. Isa was lovely, and she was enough to fill their hearts.
And then last June had rolled around. They’d been busier than ever having just welcomed Hobi’s third daughter, and Jimin’s wife had been less than two months from her due date. Rosaelia had started to feel weird, and she’d only felt this type of weird once before. Those two tell-tale red lines were all it took to confirm her suspicions. And she’d been happy. Scared, but happy. Raising a baby once hadn’t been as terrifying as she’d expected it to be, and Isabella would be almost eight when they’d welcome the second baby. That didn’t sound bad at all.
Tonight she was sitting here watching Yoongi hold their son. It was the best feeling in the world to see him cooing down at the sleeping boy. If raising kids wasn’t so much work, she might do this a hundred more times just to see him so happy. And of course, she definitely didn’t mind shopping for baby clothes. Or smiling down at that sleeping baby herself.
“You wanna hold him again?” Yoongi asked quietly.
“Yes please!”
◇◆◇◆◇
It was barely nine the next morning when Isabella came running into the room. Zelda was close behind her with Jiho in her arms and Hyeon holding her hand.
“Appa! We went Valentine’s shopping!” Isabella exclaimed as she held tight to a balloon. She tried to climb up Rosaelia’s bed.
“Oh, you did?” Yoongi asked.
“Yeah! We got you chocolates and a balloon!” the seven-year-old grinned, holding up the two gifts to her father.
Yoongi took them, and Isabella leaned over her mother to see her baby brother. She squealed.
“He’s so cute! Can I hold him?”
Rosaelia laughed. “Of course. Go sit down. Appa can hand him to you.”
Isabella hopped off the bed and crossed the room to seat herself in the chair that was next to the window. Yoongi set his gifts down before helping Rosaelia transfer the baby to Isabella. Isabella grinned widely down at her brother once he was in her arms.
“I can’t wait to dress him up!”
The adults laughed.
“Rosa, I got some chocolate for you too. Figured a nursing mom would like all the food she can get,” Zelda smiled as she handed Rosaelia her gift.
“Ohh! Thank you so much. I’m sure these will be gone in the next few days, though.”
“I’m hiding my chocolate,” Yoongi announced.
“Ok, you do that,” Rosaelia nodded, grinning.
