Hey so y'all know how Garroth asks Aph if she's sure about taking in Levin? Because her duties as a lord might get in the way? Do you ever think about how he was raised? And how maybe he's looking at Levin and seeing another kid who might suffer bc his parent is too busy being important to love him, and he's afraid? Because he knows (or at least REALLY wants to believe) Aphmau wouldn't do it on purpose, but then again, part of him still wants to believe his father didn't either? And the way he IMMEDIATELY volunteers to be in Levin's life, IMMEDIATELY steps up at every occasion, gets Zoey involved, ACTIVELY SAYS THAT HE KNOWS LEVIN WILL BE SOMETHING GREAT SOMEDAY TO OTHER PEOPLE?? He's making DAMN sure that kid has people in his life, and that the kid has somebody who unapologetically is proud and enthusiastic about him. I think he's making sure no kid ever has to grow up anything like he did.

Edward Travis Reed was born in London in 1859 to parents who dreamed of a better future. They were dissatisfied with their lives, and stories of the Land of Opportunity seized them; a few years after their daughter Caroline was born, the Reeds set sail across the Atlantic.

In America, they joined a small wagon train of settlers heading southwest. But as their journey neared its end, dream turned to nightmare: they were ambushed by bandits. It was a massacre.

A day later, the scene of the attack was a feeding ground for scavengers. Wolves bloodied their muzzles on the corpses of the Reed parents, and two frightened children cowered beneath an overturned wagon.

By sheer chance were they spotted by a boy of ten on a stolen pony. He fired off a few rounds to spook the wildlife and escorted them to the nearby town of Dustbrook to begin their new lives.

Where Caroline flourished, Travis floundered.

He had shielded his little sister from the horrors of that day, but he had seen it all. He hadn't been able to look away. Rage settled into the cracks of his shattered psyche, and whoever Edward Travis Reed had been before that day was forever changed. He couldn't settle into his new life as the adopted son of the town doctor; he was still stuck under that wagon, watching his parents beg and wail and scream.

So he acted out. A hand on his shoulder meant a fist to their stomach. A word spoken thoughtlessly was grounds for a rattled skull. Travis unleashed his anger on the town of Dustbrook, and though the good doctor tried and tried, Travis couldn't let him in as a father figure; he was too nice, too squeaky clean. It sickened him.

Petty crimes became severe as he reached adulthood, and the goodwill of Dustbrook had long since run dry. He despised them all, anyway—even his sister, in a way that hurt to acknowledge.

So he left town and wandered the Black Plains, lost, until he was found by a man who could make a leash feel like a lifeline.

This is the first one that stood out. Featuring my box dyed hair and Jeremiah's choppy haircut. I was the group's hairstylist (unfortunately) and Jeremiah did all of our piercings. It's a miracle they never got infected.

Jeremiah has four borzois. All mean girls.

Condessa, Rainha, Baronesa, and Admiradora. Each wear a necklace with encrusted diamonds with their respective name on the tag.

Condessa is the eldest, she is a mixed breed of borzoi and husky. She is spoiled by daddy and will scream for hours if she does not get what she wants. Gives you the sideye for hours as punishment for not listening to her the first time. You will need to earn her trust back for such blasphemy.

Admiradora is the youngest and, much like her name suggests, she loves giving attention. She expects the same in return. She will stare at you and paw at you and grunt. For hours.

Codename; In the Nest, Xavier goes by the name "Velveteen". Yes, like the story and the rabbit breed. These types of rabbits are mostly active during dawn or dusk, and can be found napping throughout the day and evening. In "the Velveteen rabbit ", he was described as 'someone longing for love and friendship'.

Age; Old, old. Like Earth became Philos in the future type of old

Backstory; Xavier was a prince on Philos— The New Earth. The reformed Earth. He was next in line for the throne, however....he didn't want to be. He was forced into formal classes, taught swordsmanship...He never truly felt free to be himself.

Despite his busy schedule, Xavier was lethargic. He always wanted to chill out, sleep, relax, anything besides actually do work. But he wasn't allowed to. Everyone wanted to mold him into the perfect king, but no one wanted to see him for how he truly was. No one wanted to know Xavier, they only cared about Prince Xavier.

The only people who knew him, who truly knew him, were Jeremiah and a friend whose face he can no longer recall. The only memory he has left of her, a star shaped tassel charm that hung from his sword.

As his coronation drew closer, Xavier learnt of how twisted his father's rule was (sacrificing citizens to be the planet's core and keep Philos running), and decided he wants nothing to do with it.

He takes only a handful of people, others who knew Xavier for who he was, and leaves Philos.

He had no destination in mind, he just wanted to get away...and that's how he ends up in the current timeline.

While the backstories of most Halloween haunted houses are often fabricated, Frightmare Manor in Talbot, Tennessee, reportedly has a chilling truth behind it. The plantation once belonged to Jeremiah Lexer, who, in 1902, killed his entire family inside. He brutally hacked his wife, son, daughter-in-law, and his three grandchildren, ages four, eight, and twelve, to death before taking his own life.

When police arrived at the plantation, they were horrified to not only find the bodies of the Lexer family, but 30 other shallow graves. It was discovered that the mass murder of his own family wasn’t the only murders he had committed. Over a number of years, Jeremiah had been killing unsuspecting citizens and burying them around his plantation.

After the grim discovery, the plantation sat untouched. Nobody wanted to live in a place that was marred with such tragedy. It was finally purchased in 2009, and turned into a haunted house.

So if we're right and in Xavier's 2nd anecdote the Noah he's talking to is actually Jeremiah?

Ahem. Drift is a hyper athlete who wins trophies in everything sporty. Jeremiah is his brother and a laidback scientist who hasn’t made any breakthroughs with his experiments on snacks. Their clashing lifestyles made Jeremiah move away but Drift moved to the same island too and now they’re neighboring brothers. :D

SFTH SPOILERS BELOW (also long-ish post so be aware of that I guess)

All of them have a kind of messed up time in habberdashery (Luke’s child character not the wife) (Tom wasn’t there though)

Lost in your eyes Tom and Sam have a tragic love story

Long John’s I haven’t watched in a little bit but Luke killing his brother (I think) was pretty messed up, Tom’s character dies and AJ holds him as he does.

Jockey is VERY messed up, Sam’s probably the one with the most tragic stuff.

AJ’s character in hare says she’s had a tough life, then Jimmy the Hare dies in her arms

Midnight mystery ends with Scottish Batman being in the middle of dying (I think) and Robin like kills someone or something??? The ending confuses me a little

Cube has Bubba and Jeremiah which like, Bubba loses his legs and Jeremiah has to deal with that, then yk, Jeremiah DIES in Bubbas ARMS and everything, so those two (I could ramble about Bubbamiah for the rest of this post but I won’t lol)

Bus is kinda tragic with the whole thing of Arthur BD getting imprisoned inside the vagina cage (…yeah. that’s a Sentence alright.) and then dying from the acidity

NIGEL IS SOOOOO MESSED UP AND I LOVE IT Andrew being imprisoned and his uncle not even caring or looking for him for two weeks!? Nigel getting him hooked on cocaine (and also doing whatever he did consensually with Andrew tied to the chair- even if it was consensual it might have been the drugs or the Stockholm syndrome… which is REALLY dark.)

Caravan has Jericho (Tom) who is terminally ill and dying of some disease and he has dreams of being an actor and then gets replaced with no remorse.

Stegosaurus is SOOOOO dark and i think that Chip and Cliff could both be said to have tragic backstories- even that French guy actually if you look at it from his point of view. So Sam and Tom, and AJ as chip if you include that part as well.

Lefternmost window is kind of dark but not really tragic, cause it’s all resolved in the end but you could say Tom’s Scottish character who was shot in the throat maybe

Neighbours you could argue it’s tragic for every character, really. Johnny and Janae mostly, though Annabelle dies and idk if she did much wrong. Definetly Johnny and Janae.

Milkman you can say Peter, Toby (the boy in the room) and The other kid (AJ) and also probably Mr Steven, plus Hank (the Texan bartender) all of them have pretty tragic stuff happen.

Beetroots Sam is pretty tragic, all of the stuff that happens in that. Justin’s parents died in a fire so maybe also him.

The evil make a wish kid you could say Luke’s character as the father, cause, well, his son is evil and also died and kills his mother. (And blew up every petting zoo in the entire world)

Priscilla is pretty dark too so probably Priscilla, she goes through a lot

Circus you could definitely say Watson, he kills a bunch of people cause he’s in love with Sherlock and goes crazy and becomes a creepy clown (hi if you’re reading this and don’t know the fandom, welcome! Everything is so normal)

Murders in space would definitely be Mary, with working on the whole time penetration/dilution thing her whole life only to have to fade away to save the world.

I’d need to rewatch Hugh and moist and magical for the specifics but characters from those two are not having a good time

JIMMY DOESNT KNOW HOW TO USE A DOOR AND NO ONE WILL SHOW HIM (also Clancy did doohicky’s wife but who cares about that when there’s Jimmy)

Alexa and Janusz from Ballet are both pretty tragic but again I’d probably need to rewatch it to have more details

As a response to the post…

my current WIP is called the Robo Sleuths! Right now it's more of concept since I've only drawn and talked about it; I haven't written anything for the story yet. You may have seen it quite a bit recently.

It's a sort of dark comedy-crime-detective-noir drama. Thing.

basically it follows Enid, a peppy and seemingly optimistic girl, and Lou, a more down to earth intelligent guy. Who are, of course, robot sleuths.

I should clarify: when I talk about robots I usually mean one of two things: either the character was a human who got turned (or had some part of them) turned into a robot, like Enid or Rodney, or the character is a computer with a generally advanced ai, like Nathaniel or Moe. Sometimes I don’t specify. It’s more fun.

Anyway I think the story is supposed to follow Enid, after an… incident, as a human, wanting to start a detective agency as a way to make her robot life now more interesting.

Over time though, she ends up finding more sinister secrets related to the robots and specific groups around the town, including the company that made the robots… and maybe even her own coworker.

(I guess that’s the synopsis?)

The characters and groups found include:

her friends at work: Cathy, Alice, Heather, Emmie, and Jim

Antagonistic characters (to varying degrees): Rodney, Veronica, Monica, (unnamed fourth character), Tony, Gunner, Lucy

other detectives/sleuths/lawyers: Nathaniel Jeremiah, Leroy, Moe, Petey, Bebe

college kids, possibly interns: Carrie, Ned

side characters: gus, manny, housewife (I forgot her name!!)

I don’t know if I got all the characters but that’s the stick of it. I hope it makes some sense.

I’m open to any character ideas! :)

This is a Really cool idea!

I think this will be really cool when it's done, and it has the potential to also make an AWESOME webcomic if you made it into one.

It's also extremely creative and I love the ideas about all of the characters being robots or somewhat robot, though I'm not sure about some stuff because you didn't really specify on a main plot. Though it's fine if it doesn't have one (J&R and C4) I have my fair share of plot problems.

Now... for some ideas!

I think it would be cool if you dived into some trauma and/or backstory for some of the characters, and why the more human ones HAVE robot parts. Was it that their body was failing, amputation, cancer, or was it a serious injury? Body dysmorphia? Forced?

And if you can, you should totally create a relationships/opinions of one another relationship chart between all of the characters.

And maybe there's a good factory and an evil one?

I'm not sure if these ideas line up with, or contradict the stuff you've already got. But if you like them, feel free to use them, no credit needed.

Also how the Advanced Ai Gained sentience would be a cool reveal!

GOLDEN ANIME STANDARDS FOR THE LOVE INTEREST -

There are numbers of shonen animes were the female lead and love interest are aren't the same and the love interest doesn't get much screen space.

Eg. Yu Yu Hakusha - Boton always accompanies the hero but Keiko is the love interest.

Shirley was created to be his love interest and unlike Kallen and CC, her entire character story is based on her relationship with Lelouch and how she handles it.

Shirley was chosen to be Lelouch's love interest to show his human side, to show his struggle to strike a balance between his goal and his feelings.

Reasons

1. Nickname

Shirley is the only person to ever give a nickname to Lelouch, "Lulu" and except for her, no one calls him that. 

2. Discovering his identity

Usually anime, which consists of a hero with a double life, The love interest is the first one to discover his other identity. 

First person to discover about Lelouch's identity as Zero and even after losing her memories she still discovered that he is zero and knew it till the end of R1. (she had a lot of potential).

3. Romance

ShirLulu has their own story with romance , angst and comedy. Their moments are explicitly romance.(explained in part 1 -part 6)

Angst element - Lelouch killed her father, and Shirley gets to know the truth and how both of them deal with their emotions, respectively.

A small backstory with Shirley's dad was added to catalyze their story. This gives a green signal for Shirlulu and also hints at Lelouch's feelings for Shirley.

RomCom element - Lelouch, who can turn situations around and accomplish the impossible, is a total dummy when it comes to romance and handling Shirley.

It's hilarious how he doesn't have a chance against Shirley.

4. Parallel with Nunnally

Lelouch is promising to fulfill Shirley's wish, like he did with Nunnally.  Lelouch has always been sweet to Nunnally and Shirley.

These parallels make it seem like Shirley is the next important person after Nunnally.

Ironically, both of them have the least interaction with Lelouch, yet they are very important to him

5. Crossroads

Almost all Shonen animes have this classic scene where the hero ha to his loved ones without forgetting his purpose. He would be at a crossroads and ultimately manages to save both.

R1 stage 08

Shirley, Nina, and Milly were kidnapped by a Japanese gang.

The narrative was like how will Lelouch would manage to save Shirley while still being against Britannia, typical like a hero at crossroads.

6. Kidnapping

Another classic is the heroine getting kidnapped by the antagonist, and the hero has to save her. Usually, the kidnapping is done to show the importance of the heroine to him and also to level up the hero.

Mao confrontation -he had to save Shirley from mao

7. Geass

Shirley is the only person to be geass-ed thrice. Twice by Lelouch and once by the emperor and also got the Geass cancelled by Jeremiah.

8. Hints

Lelouch has Nunnally, Suzaku, CC, and Kallen, yet It's Shirley's death that emphasizes Lelouch path of solitude. 

 Lelouch killed Euphy with a gun, and Shirley got killed by a gun. Suzaku lost his love due to Lelouch, and as Karma Lelouch has to lose his.

Even after their death, Shirley and Euphy were mentioned still the end of the series.( Rolo and Nunnally are mentioned too but the meaning is different).

R1 went in the direction of Shirley being the love interest (they were direct), but since Shirlulu failed to be popular, Makers made Shirlulu take a back seat, making them subtle in R2.
