In response to the person asking about the purple hoodie. Purple is a colour associated with royalty, and in the show the purple hoodie can represent Simon’s feelings towards Wille. In a lot of their positive interactions with each other Simon is wearing purple - often the hoodie. These scenes include the kiss after the movie, their first time, when they discuss the book, etc. When Simon is trying to distance himself from his emotions or feeling negative towards Wille he tends to be shown in yellow or orange - like when he accuses the monarchy of being welfare receivers. In the scene in which Simon tells Wille he is going to report August to the police he is wearing yellow, showing that despite what Wille said about being with him he is going to choose otherwise. BUT when he goes to Wille’s room afterwards and they start undressing, Simon’s sweater is inverted as he takes it off, showing that he is wearing a purple shirt underneath - betraying the feelings he still has. He’s also wearing purple in the season 3 sneak peek.

In terms of the colours orange and yellow, they’re most often worn by Simon, although the sweater that he steals from Wille is orange. This is the same sweater that Wille wears when he arrives at Hillerska. Someone (I think from the crew?) mentioned that this showed that Wille was already on the path to meeting Simon from the moment he arrived.
