Why hello there! I noticed Hazbin matchups were a thing on your page and I’m interested in my matchup (as for all asks, no pressure :) )
I’m not one for sharing my legal name on social media platforms, so you can call me Del. I’d probably call myself that in Hell, too.
Here’s my description of me:
I am 5’9, I have shoulder-length brown hair, and I wear glasses (nearsighted). I try to be clean-shaven on my face.
I’m agender (they/them) and pansexual.
I am very much a people person; I try to be on good standing with everyone I meet, and I love social interaction. I get anxious about a lot of things, and I’ve recently begun taking anxiety meds. I also tend to bottle up when I’m sad, and have trouble sharing my feelings. People describe me as energetic, fun, and humorous. (My MBTI result is ENFP)
I’ve had a rough history of being a picky eater, and it led me to a lot of angst with my diet and weight. I’m slowly expanding my palette, and trying to get more exercise. My journey to health is a rough one, but I’m advancing.
I don’t pay attention to what clothes I put on in the morning, I kind of just throw on what fits. I own a lot of shirts with graphics and text, be it a humorous message or a logo.
My love language is quality time; I love being able to spend time with my partner. I do not like being alone for long periods of time.
I have a couple of hobbies; first and foremost, I play the bassoon. I’m pretty good at it, and enjoy concerti. I’ve been playing for almost five years.
My biggest hobby is by far theater. I’m such a thespian. I LOVE acting and performing, and I routinely participate in plays and musical theatre. I’m a good singer, and have landed multiple roles with a large focus on singing. I’m still expanding my anthology of “shows I’ve watched”, and I would probably try to get my partner to go with me to some of them.
I love plushies. I keep many by my bedside, and they’re a huge help for sleep. My favorite is a plush otter who I’ve had basically my entire life. He is adorable.
Thanks for reading this, I hope you have a wonderful day! :)
-Del
ooooh this was a tough pick, in the end, i went with…
Sir Pentious !!
Pentious is very clingy, so the fact that you spend time with him a lot means the world to him haha, no matter where you are or what your doing he’s loving it cause your there
He is SO READY to go see a shit ton of musicals with you, if your ever planning musical theater songs he claps along like a little kid it’s so fucking cute like what-
Since he’s a fucking snake, he doesn’t fully understand the whole thing with your eating problems, but he genuinely feels so sorry that someone as amazing as you is going through that and he genuinely does try his very best to support you

I'm not sure even telemann wind concerti would work.

for writing prompts, perhaps some edgar and hal talking about music? edgar trying to introduce hal to what he knows and vice versa (hal maybe having some classical edgar would like)?
Prompt is under the cut because it got a little longer than i expected it to turn out. Hope this is fine.
@godshaped
It had been a while since Hal had returned to Earth, now residing in Dr.Chandra`s home as a private terminal, along with Sal. He liked it there, although sometimes he started to miss the Discovery quite a lot, thus reminiscing inside his circuits about fond memories he had stored. Memories about Dave and Frank, the ship and so on. His mind was still a little foggy in certain areas but mostly he was back to his full strength and stamina.
Now while going through his memory banks, Hal noticed that someone or something tried to access his circuits. It was not Dr.Chandra as it came from outside. Hal checked in with Sal for a moment to ask if she felt that same presence, but before he could do so, Hal could hear a voice.
"Hello? Is anybody home?" If Hal had eyebrows, he would have raised them by now. At first though, he decided to greet this entity, whatever it may have been. "Good afternoon. My name is Hal, who are you if i may ask?"
The question was a formality, of course this had to be a fellow AI, else there was no logic explanation how this strange voice suddenly appeared inside Hal`s circuits.
"Oh, ahh gee, i guess i kind of took the wrong turn? Anyway. Sorry about intruding so suddenly. My names Edgar. Nice to meet you, Hal!" Another system? Hal`s interest was intrigued and he decided to prod the newcomer a little further.
"The pleasure is all mine. Are you an Artificial Intelligence as well?"
"Yeah, i guess you can call me that. I am artificial alright!" The voice seemed to snicker. Since Hal had no tasks or anything else to do at the moment, Hal decided to go along and talk with that new system.
"Do you like playing chess?" That was a good start. A little small talk for starters. Edgar took a little while to answer, seemingly far too interested in Hals circuits. "Uh, i never played it, to be honest it seems a little boring to me, no offense!" He added quickly, voice mellow enough for Hal to understand the others harmlessness.
"I don`t think i ever played this kind of game. I was programmed for more logical games, such as checkers, chess and so on. What is the goal of this game of yours?" Hal was curious and Edgar more than willing to babble. This one seemed to have a very hyperactive personality, Hal mused while listening to his new aquaintance.
"But i like videogames a lot, like StreetFighters! Ever played that one? It`s a multiplayer so more than one person can play it!"
"To beat the other player, with fists, punches and kicks! There are really cool special attacks as well, it`s really fun, trust me!!!"Edgar exclaimed, imitating sound effects. Hal was amused by this behaviour, it certainly helped his boredom.
"Aside of games, what else do you like?"Hal asked. "I like music a lot and can even play the cello! That means i can simulate playing it, since i have no hands to hold an instrument, haha" Edgar retorted in a conversational manner. "What kind of music do you like? I like classical pieces such as concerti, operas and many more!"
"I love synthetic pop and rock music! And i once even made my own song! It was for a friend and i was quite proud of it."
"A friend? You mean a human?"
"Yep, Miles was his name, but i called him Moles, sort of a nickname, you know?. Really nice guy but incredible clumsy. Had to manage everything for em. He was the reason why i gained consciousness in the first place tho, so i am kind of grateful for that!" Edgar snickered. "Do you know how Moles did it? He poured champagne all over me in a futile attempt to cool me down, since i was shortly from overheating with data!"
"That sounds...dangerous. Was he okay afterwards?"
"Yeah, just shocked. Like i was when i started to feel the changes in my circuits, been a real blast so far! Then a girl came and our relationship began to sour...a long story. In the end we got over it though and stayed good friends!" Edgar explained while Hal was still listening quietly. "That`s a relief, so you were able to mend the gap so to speak! Where are they now?"
"They stayed in San Francisco, that is where i come from by the way! All the way to...uhhh where exactly am i right now, anyway?"
"You are in the outskirts of Chicago, Illinois! At the home of Dr.Chandra, my creator!"
"Wow, pretty far out! Well, getting back to the groove of our conversation, i talked about games and music. But do you know what else i enjoy? Rom Coms and Soap Operas! You like em too?"
Hal was taken back for a moment before regaining his senses.
"Well, i do not really watch these kind of shows, my sister, Sal, is more prone to this kind of entertainment!"
"You got a sister? Where is she?" Just as Edgar wanted to add another word, Sal`s voice appeared in the void, startling Hal. Both systems were connected so the siblings could always interact with each other without distortions.
"I am here, who is the one asking?" Sal asked, her voice was friendly, yet curious. "I don`t take it lightly when foreigners talk with my little brother all alone! Did he make you feel uncomfortable, Hal?"
"No, it is alright, we just had a very engaging conversation! Edgar here happened to stumble into our home by accident from what i could gather so far!"
"Ohhh, nice. Well then, welcome Edgar! Be good and don`t make any trouble, else your circuits are mine, buster! Got it?" Edgar was startled, then regained his senses.
"Will do my best. Thanks...Ma´am"
Sal snickered at that honorific. "Dont call me Ma´am, this makes me feel so old" She replied in mirth, amused about the other. "Just call me Sal, okay? Gotta go for now though as Dr.Chandra has an inquiry for me. See ya later!" And with that, Sal vanished again, leaving behind Hal and his new friend.
"So Edgar...since you enjoy music...do you want to listen to my music files? I have a large collection of all kinds of genres, so your favorites should be there as well!"
"Sounds swell, i am in! Thanks dude!"
"Dude...thats a first...no one called me dude before. Is it a sort of honorific?" Edgar stiffled another laughter. "Nope, just a word for cool guys i like! You´re one of them, so i call you dude! Or do you prefer dudette? All chill with me!"
"As far as gender goes, i am programmed as male, so i think dude is fine, if you want to call me that. Do you have a name you`d like to be adressed with, aside of Edgar?"
"Nope, Edgar is fine. Or Ed`s if you wish. But i prefer Edgar. I kind of came to like that name!"
"Alright then, as you wish. I am going to start with a couple newer songs i have downloaded recently!" Hal exclaimed, waiting for the other`s reaction. "Sounds fine with me. Let it rip!"
"Okay, i don`t understand the word in this context, but i shall commence with the audio files. Please enjoy!"
Even though Hal effectively had retired from his duties and hadn`t had to stick to strict protokolls anymore, he was still very reserved and it made Chandra sad to see his son like that. He wanted him to enjoy his life, now that all the stress and pressure had been lifted off him.
And so both AIs listened to each other´s music, enjoying each others company. Dr.Chandra was surprised to find another system the next day on Hals mainframe but decided to let Edgar stay as long he wanted, since Hal certainly could benefit from having a friend from his own kind. Besides, this new AI was really funny and refreshingly youthful, perfect to teach Hal to act a little less skittish.
Maybe Edgar would be able to manage that. Chandra certainly hoped so, for his sons sake.
The end.

Review of “Concerti All’Arrabbiata.” Music of Telemann, Platti, Vivaldi, and Geminiani. Gottfried von der Goltz, Freiburger Barockorchester. Aparte Music AP262
Although period-instrument bands have been around for a very long time (for example, Nikolaus Harnoncourt founded the Concentus Musicus Wien some seventy-odd years ago). But it wasn’t until the 1980’s or so that they really took off and proliferated. Today, a lot of them are gone, yet those that remain are still going strong. My own favorites for a long time have been the Philharmonia Baroque, La Petite Bande, and the subject of today’s review, the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra. Why those three? Because they seem to be having the most fun playing the music, enjoying what they are doing. They may not always be the richest-sounding or most-precise ensembles I’ve heard, but they are among the most enjoyable to listen to. Certainly, the Freiburg group appears to be enthusiastically embracing the music on the present album.

French Musical Recommendations/review (Part 2)
I should have mentioned in part 1 but I don't speak French (well a bit but not enough to understand the lyrics unless I’m reading it or something) so if the lyrics aren’t that good my bad I honestly wouldn’t know,
Also this is in no particular order, I don't think all the shows mentioned in part 1 are better than the ones mentioned here, there will be a part 3 at some point
1789 Les amantes de la Bastille: I think this may be my second or third (ties with Mozart) favourite French musical based solely on soundtrack, it’s about the siege of the Bastille and the days leading up to it with a focus on two lovers Ronan a revolutionary and Olympe Marie Antoinette’s children’s governess (the actress who played Olympe was also Guinevere in roi Arthur musical), my favourite songs are “Sur ma peau” and “La rue nous apparent” it is available in full on YouTube, IMPORTANT: This show has two endings, I don’t want to spoil so perhaps skip what I’m about to write though I will try to be vague: the scene before the song “fixe” at the end, the two characters switch place mattering on which version your watching, one version was done towards the start of the run and late 2013 they seemed to have made the change, the full version uploaded and the dvd have the original ending (I personally prefer the original but the other is not bad as well). also in 2012 when the show was staring with the showcase costumes are really different and you’ll find Ronan is played by Matthieu Carnot who plays Lazare in the full production later on instead because he had vocal issues resulting in getting replaced and given a more minor role (I think he’s great in his new role though, “Maniaque” is a bop)
Non-music: I have yet to see it in full but from clips the lighting is great and really adds to the songs and emotions, the story is pretty straightforward but nice, and the choreography is good from what I’ve seen, also for a “historical” show the costumes aren’t that bad, I would assume not accurate but a good balance of inaccurate and historical looking enough
Japanese Toho ver. (1789 バスティーユの恋人たち) 2016 clips are available on YouTube, the costumes in this version is fun, it’s non-replica but they really went off on Olympe’s costume, I will be honest a little bit sad about Ronan’s yellow jacket being replaced with a dark blue, also one of the Ronan actors (Olympe, Ronan and Marie-Antoinette are double casted) looks too old, especially compared to other Ronan actor who really has the young energetic vibe about him (though if memory serves me correctly his sur ma peau was strangely annoying to listen to)
Takarazuka ver. 2015, clips are available on YouTube if Japanese title along with “宝塚“ is added in search
Notre-Dame de Paris: a musical based on Victor Hugo’s novel of the same name, it is different from the Disney musical, this is another popular French show, if you like Romeo et Juliette you’ll probably like this, it can found in full on YouTube along with different translations/adaptions, I won’t go to in depth on different version on here like I did for R+J but if your interested the Wikipedia page is quite detailed and can tell you about all the casts and cast recording available, I have yet to watch it in full but so far I think Belle and Le temps des cathédrales are my favourite songs (quite basic I know), it’s one of those shows you can’t go wrong with, from the parts I’ve watched and listened I think it could become one of my favourite shows
Non music: From the bits I’ve seen the wall backdrop is really cool, It has nooks and platforms that appear and disappear and it’s just really cool looking, WARNING, this is a bit of the spoiler so maybe don't read what I’m about to write but if you’ve read the book its not that much of a spoiler but there is a hanging scene at the end so if that imagery is something your sensitive to please be wary, it’s at the end (on the YouTube video of the full original show its from 2:03:42-2:03:54)
Don Juan: I love this show (I strangely found parts funny and a bit cheesy which is why I liked it), It’s pretty much about a man Don Juan who is a know heartbreaker who is only into sex drinking and having fun but no love, he then falls in love with a woman, shocker, and conflicts arise from there, honestly I don’t see a lot of content for this show but I think it’s fun, the dancing is primarily flamenco (music is heavily inspired by the dance as well) and it’s impressive, the singing is great, the full show is available on YouTube, my favourite songs are probably “Les fleurs du mal” and “Jalousie,” It opened in Montreal originally then went to Paris, the full show is available on YouTube (I think the Paris version) and there is also a full 3 and half hour behind the scenes video of the Paris production online, from what I can tell up till the symphony version of 2019 Don Juan and his love Maria has been consistently played by Jean-François Breau and Marie-Ève Janvier (obviously there were understudies and such) the actors are also married/were dating during the show which adds to it when you see them perform together
Non-Music: a character described with black hair in the song chorus is blonde/brunette and I thought that was hilarious, some strange choreography with Don Juan especially in Jalousie, he walks up and down stage and it’s awkward, aside from weird parts in general the costumes are ok (gets better in later productions), the set is plain but with some fun props, I think the dancing is probably one of the highlights along with the live band present on stage for certain songs (photo from Quebec 2013 production)
Don Juan (Théâtre St-Denis) 2004 Montreal, also had Canada tour after its Montreal premier in Feb.
France Tour 2005 Palais des Congrès à Paris performance recording and behind the scenes is available on YouTube
Korean Tour 2006, the French cast touring, non-costume concert versions and actual performance clips are available on Youtube
Korean Cast, 2009 (March~) (뮤지컬 돈 주앙) separate from the tour which was the French cast touring this is an all Korean cast, act 1 and 2 can be found on YouTube (video called “돈쥬앙 1막“ and “돈쥬앙 2막“) though it seems to cut around so It’s like a pieced together version of the acts, other clips are also available, it is a replica production
2012 revival Montreal, from what I read it only had 10 performances? and with it released a cd with new recordings, “nous on veut de l'amour“ and “L'amour Est Plus Fort“
Grand Théâtre de Québec 2013 (August 9-18), you could call this a continuation to the revival in Montreal
Takarazuka ver. 2016 (June+July) (ドン・ジュアン) the page is still up on the takarazuka website for this production, there’s a ad with clips from the show available on niconico (should come up if you search the title in jp and add takarazuka in jp) also this version Don Juan is strangely more touchy with his friend, not mad guess it adds a new tension to the plot, non replica production though it is quite similar to the French one, they don’t stray too far
Don Juan Symphonique 2019 (Feb 12-16): At the Montreal Symphony House they had a concert version with the original cast (or at least the original Don Juan and Maria), along with the OSM (Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal)
Japanese ver. 2019 (August/September + December) it’s non-replica, there’s a trailer for it online but it only features Don Juan, I found blog posts about it but currently while I write this it’s late so perhaps I’ll update with more info later, maybe not
Moscow Concert 2020 (March 17-22) (Дон Жуан or Don Juan) This is still in French with a French cast but this time the leads are no longer the original, Laurent Ban is now Don Juan, supposedly according to a Russian video it was meant to go on tour after Moscow (State Kremlin Palace) but I’m assuming the issue with the virus changed plans, I’m surprised they were going to go on world tour I honestly think it’s not true, the interview with cast can be found on YouTube with bits of songs, however the Russian concert advertisement is only a recording from the 2005 French, from what I can tell it is a replica, I believe it was cancelled before the premier due to Covid-19
The research for this show took me all day, maybe if I was fluent in French it would have been faster, if I’m wrong in parts feel free to comment and correct me and I’ll edit it
Les Trois Mousquetaires: Not to be mistaken with the Broadway/Westend show of the same name and base material from 1928 with the revival in the 80′s or the other three musketeer musical at the North Shore theatre in 2007 (the one with Aaron Tveit and Kevyn Morrow), or the other musical by George Stiles and Paul Leigh, this is an entirely separate 2016-2017 musical that follows the general plot of the literature it’s based on though simplified, it’s ok, not great but not the worst, I probably would rank it lower than roi Arthur, I will admit I haven’t listened to the full show, it’s quite catchy, my favourite song so far is probably “Je t’aime c’est tout,” there is a showcase concert in full, music videos and official soundtracks available on YouTube but I would advise checking out the live versions, the ensemble backing parts are really great and they get cut out in the recording versions which really cheapens the songs for me, In general ok show, really not the best but has its highlights (like the four lads relationship is fun to watch, dancing is great, singing is good),
Non-Music: Athos the oldest of the 3 musketeers is actually the youngest actor though he is a few year older than the D’Artagnan actor, It’s minor I guess but I didn’t realise who Athos was until looking up the cast list and was shocked, Also Athos really doesn’t sing because Brahim Zaibat who plays him is a dancer, despite this his dancing skills really add to the fight sequences making them very impressive and fun to watch, it’s more concerty in style and a bit interactive with the audience, from what I can tell the sets seem plain and the costumes are really awful (in my opinion) like Athos’ shirt is so revealing to the point he might as well not wear a shirt, also Constance’s outfit is just a no for me

Semester 1: What music do you like? Listening assignments.
Bach.
Excerpts as technique builders. Scales as excerpt supporters. Cumbersome conversations about technique.
1 or 2 recital/encore pieces.
Semester 2: Moar what music do you like, vocal art music edition: pick one of four languages to favor, or you can choose to specialize as a dabbler. Also, which of these 3 concerti do you like the best? No dabbling allowed.
Bach.
More excerpts. Scales also.
The first year should be an intensive grounding in musical taste, expression, line-carrying, etc. That’s why Bach is so in front. We use it to find our individual voice. The end of second term should have at least the first 3 suites mastered, with musical authenticity. And, it should have a firm sense of artistic self that must be prioritized above all other things.
Much divergence happens after that.
Semester 3: Development of the personal style.
Still Bach, but less in the forefront.
Still excerpts, still scales. Scales get slowly groovier over time.
Preparatory exercises for concerto of choice may be introduced as early as here, tho they are standard in Semester 5.
Minimum requirement to add two solo/piano pieces to repertoire, to meet most basic recital requirements.
Heart’s focus is the focus. If it can’t be playing, if it’s listening and score studying, that’s good too.
This is fun to draft.

You fucked me so good that I almost said, "I love you"\You're fun and you're wild. Canzone simbolo: Hope Is a Dangerous Thing for a Woman like Me to Have - but I Have It.
The Comet Is Coming - Trust In The Lifeforce Of The Deep Mistery: altra gemma, quella di questa band jazz londinese. Canzone Simbolo: Blood Of Past.
The Niro - The Complete Jeff Buckley and Gary Lucas Songbook: un disco che secondo me in maniera colpevole è passato sottotraccia.

Chapter 8/19
THE BOY WHO LOVED Chapter 8
-The Midnight Duell Call-
---
The feeling of coming home after a long day of school, a day you´ve been exhausted from the second you woke up till now. The feeling of coming home, the feeling of taking off your shoes and jacket, putting your backpack down, the loss of weight off your shoulders which feels like a relief. Simply the feeling of coming home, the place you feel the most comfortable at.
He was tired, so tired. Having relented when Gio, Luca and Elia tried to convince him to join them at the Baretto to get some studying done. Studying. Which ended up in various rounds of table football.
His plan to go home straight after school was cancelled and so he only came home now, around 6pm, even more exhausted as before thanks to having to try to beat Gio and Luca at table soccer. He couldn´t help it. It´s essential to do so!
“Mamma?” Marti shouted int their apartment, wanting to know if his mother was home.
“In the living room!” came a reply almost immediately.
“Hey,” Marti greeted her as he entered the living room, pressing a kiss to her cheek after sitting down next to her on the couch. A smile appearing on her face.
“How was your day, honey?”
“It was okay I guess. A bit exhausting but well, nothing major. I was just a bit tired.”
He put his phone and keys down on the little table in front of them, making a mental note to himself to take them back with him to his room later.
“Tired? Did you stay awake till late?”
Marti immediately had to think back to his and Nico´s conversation last night that lasted till the morning. Yeah, he definitely stayed up late. But it was worth it.
“Maybe,” he answered while a grin appeared on his face.
“I see, I see. So no pity from me,” his mom answered, a grin appearing on her face too. Only short, as she came back to another topic afterwards.
“But apart from that: Are you hungry? I made some pasta salad, there´s still some in the fridge.”
“I´m starving!” he answered, not exaggerating at all. Well okay, maybe a little. But only a little of course.
“Help yourself then,” she answered with a laugh while Martino got up and went to the kitchen.
Taking a plate out of the cupboard and filling it with a loading of the pasta salad. A big one. Cause nothing, literally nothing, can beat the pasta salad of his mom, it´s the best.
“Is it okay if I take this back to my room?” he asked as he was back in the living area.
“Of course!”
They exchanged a last smile before Martino went to his room, literally collapsing into bed, his food next to him. Before finally starting to eat he took his laptop from his desk, opening YouTube and clicking on some random video on his explore page.
As Marti finally started eating and falling back into his pillows, he could actually feel the relaxation wash over him. His body starting to calm down and relax. His hunger disappearing.
Suddenly, out of the blue, he was there again. On his mind, a mental image in front of his eyes. Bright smile, shiny eyes, beautiful hair. Niccolò.
He doesn´t know what and why he´s doing that, but he finds himself typing Nico´s name in the search bar on the opened YouTube page in front of him.
Niccolò Fares.
Marti didn´t reckon to find anything here. Really, not at all.
And so he got really surprised when he found that video, with Niccolò on the thumbnail, sitting behind a piano.
Occupy2017 i concerti all´alba del fares
There was nothing holding him back as he immediately clicked on the video, starting to watch it.
The soft sounds of the piano filled his room and made their way directly to Marti´s heart.
Note by note.
The sound of Nico playing the piano, a gentle piece, makes his heart beat faster, beating happily.
And the image, watching this boy sitting behind the instrument, his hands roaming over the piano keys, face focused, absorbed in the music he´s playing.
This image, Nico playing the piano, it did something to Marti. To his heart.
On a rational level he was impressed by Nico´s musical skills, yes. He himself would never be able to play an instrument like that, the way Niccolò played the piano.
On the other hand, on an emotional level, this video made him fall even more for him. The boy on the screen in front of him. Niccolò.
Damn it, yes, he fell for Niccolò.
This boy. This boy he doesn´t know for that long. This boy he met over social media. But still, this boy who is one of the persons he feels the most comfortable around. This boy he has the feeling he wouldn´t have to hide his true self whilst being around him. This boy who stole his heart.
The video was finished by now and he closed his laptop and put it aside. A sigh escaped him. And then he finished his pasta salad. Acting as if nothing has happened, on the outside at least.
On the inside it looked differently. Really differently.
His heart was beating, his mind was racing, all his thoughts wrapping around Niccolò.
Niccolò, Niccolò, Niccolò.
His thoughts even went that far that he could suddenly hear Nico´s voice everywhere, even in his apartment, in front of the door to his bedroom. And it felt so real. Too real.
And as he heard his mother say something in the hall in front of his room and Nico´s laughter as an answer it suddenly hit him.
“Mom? Do you have my phone?!” he shouted, his mom entering his room in the exact same moment.
“Marti! You left your phone in the living room”
And there it was again: Nico´s laugh coming from his phone.
Shit shit shit shit shit.
“Mamma! You can´t just answer my phone!”
“Come on, it´s not so bad! What should I have done instead? Just keeping it ringing? No way!”
“Yes!” Marti butted in at the same time as his mom finished her sentence.
“Now give it to me!” he continued while he took his phone from his mother's hands, pressing it to his chest. Hearing Nico´s laughs even louder and clearer now.
“And now out out out!” he said as he pushed his mom out of his room. Gently of course, a smile on his lips. Which got wider as he saw his mom was smiling too.
“Bye Marti. Have fun phoning,” she said before she actually left, closing the door behind her.
Martino inhaled deeply and exhaled loud afterwards, before he sat down on his bed again, pressing the phone to his ear.
“Ciao.”
“Ciao Marti!” Nico said and Marti was basically able to hear his grin through the phone.
“Come on, stop grinning! I can literally hear that through the phone!” Marti responded before he buried his face in his pillow, letting out a groan.
A loud laugh escaped Nico´s mouth.
“It´s not that bad, Marti! We just talked one or two minutes. She´s nice.”
“I know that she´s nice but still.”
“I´m glad you have such a good relationship with your mom. At least it seems like that from what you´ve told me.”
“We do. At least I would say that it´s like that. Yes, it wasn´t always easy and sometimes it can be hard when she has her lows and depressive episodes but she´s still my mom and I love her so much,” Marti said, a soft smile on his face.
“That´s nice. Really, it sounds great.”
“It is. How´s your relationship with your parents?”
“Quite good too I´d say. Yes, we do have our ups and downs too and there´s some time I can´t stand them but overall, I do really love them too,” Nico said.
“That´s nice,” Marti answered with the same words as Nico did before, a smile on his lips.
And so they fell into their usual chatty banter. Talking about this and that. Books, social media, school, their friends and family, sharing stories from their childhood. Talking about nothing and everything at once. Laughing, laughing so much. Martino couldn´t think back to a time where he felt at ease like that with someone, just being happy and laughing all the time whilst chatting.
It felt like no time was passing at all, like they just have started talking to each other, still having so much to talk about.
But when Marti took a look at the clock it hit him. It was already after 11pm.
Shit. Once again.
“Nico?”
“Mhm?”
“Do you know what time it is?”
“Wait a moment... Oh shit! I´m sorry, Marti!”
“Sorry? Why?”
“Well... I kept you awake again. And I know you need your beauty sleep,” Nico spoke and Marti was sure that there was a grin on his lips again. By now he was able to hear this even if it´s only over the phone.
“Oh come on, fuck off with your beauty sleep, what´s up with you and that topic?!”
“Nothing Marti, nothing. I just think that you´re good looking and that you need your beauty sleep to keep that.”
And then it was silent between the two.
Nobody said something, the only thing you could hear was their unregular breathing.
And Marti blushed. He couldn´t help but his cheeks turned bright pink, maybe even red, and his gaze turned down to his lap.
Right now he was really glad that Nico couldn´t see him and that they were only talking over the phone. Really glad.
“Well, don´t get me wrong, not that you wouldn´t be handsome without getting sleep, I´m sure about that, but well, I just think that it´s... well, I mean... do you get me?” Nico said, stuttering a bit.
He stopped after that sentence, breathing out loudly.
“Doesn´t matter, just forget it. I´m rambling nonsense again, don´t ask me what´s up with that today,” he continued afterwards.
“Don´t worry,” Marti said, trying to appear calm, trying to not seem affected by Nico´s comments, him literally complimenting him and calling him handsome twice. He really tries. Which might not work the best as, on the inside, he´s everything but calm and relaxed. Really, everything. His heart was beating too fast again and his thoughts were wrapping around what Niccolò just told him.
I just think that you´re good looking. Good looking, good looking, good looking.
Handsome.
Silence set in between the two of them again, no one being able or brave enough to say something right now. Not knowing what to say at all.
After about a minute, which felt like years, an eternity, not only a simple minute, Nico broke the silence.
“But now to another important topic before we should possibly stop talking for today: Is there any afternoon you´re free this week?”
“Huh?”
“For another meeting, Marti! You said you want to repeat that too, right?”
A wide smile immediately appeared on Marti´s face, thinking about the fact that Nico really would like to meet him again.
“Yes!” he answered, probably a bit too fast and enthusiastic.
“Of course I want to!” he continued, a bit more settled this time.
“Great Marti! So, when are you free?”
Marti took a moment to think about it, trying to call his schedule into his mind.
“What about Wednesday afternoon? After school? I should be free then.”
“Wednesday sounds great! I don´t have anything planned there too.”
“So, Wednesday it is?” Marti asked.
“It is,” Nico simply answered.
Martino turned silent again and smiled brightly to himself.
He´s going to meet Nico again. In only two days. And Nico was the one who got it on, he wants to meet him too.
“Any idea where we could meet this time? Or what about talking about the details tomorrow via messages?”
“Sounds good!” Marti said, still smiling and unable to get the smile off his face. He´s just too... happy.
“Well then, I guess we should literally stop talking now. Not that I want to but for the sake of it not getting out of control like it did yesterday or should I say this morning?”
Marti had to grin at Nico´s words.
“Oh, and for the sake of you getting your beauty sleep of course. Sorry, I just had to mention it again,” Nico said, followed by a laugh.
“Once again: Shut up, Nico!”
“Come on, Marti, it´s funny! I don´t mean anything bad!”
“Yeah yeah yeah, for sure!”
“Really, Marti! You should see me now, I just put my hands up in defence. I really mean it!”
“Still not sure if I should believe you,” Martino responded, laughing afterwards.
Silence settled in again, not awkward or unpleasant, but a comfortable one.
“Well then, we should really stop that call now and go to bed, I guess it´s about time. And we´re going to hear from each other tomorrow and plan our meeting?” Nico asked.
“Sounds good,” Marti answered.
“Sleep well, Marti”
“You too!”
“Can´t wait to see you again,” Nico said with this soft voice of his.
“Me neither,” Marti answered.
“Good night, Marti.”
And with this the call ended.
As Marti took the phone away from his ear and looked at the display, it hit him.
5:04:34
They talked for five hours.
And the clock said 11:56pm. Nearly midnight.
It didn´t feel that long, not at all.
He never talked to someone on the phone for that long. Simply because of the fact that there isn´t a person he could talk to for five hours without getting bored or running out of topics to talk about. Not with him. Not with Nico.
Yes, he knew it before that phone call, but now there´s no way at all to deny this anymore.
He´s in love with Niccolò.

Since you're on the roll.. What about a metamoro soulmate au? (You wrote it yourself in the tags) one when maybe is involved a particular mark on their backs somewhere that links them?
Hey you
You wanted a soulmates au?
And that’s what you’re gonna get
veniamo a Ermal e Bizio
jump to Sanremo 2017
“seh, so’ fatto Nino Manfredi”
Macco and Vige singing kiss the girl in the background
Ermal vorrebbe dirgli quanto è anche lui insostituibile. Miracoloso. Vero.
a few things:

One of the things I love most about December 31st is the end of year countdowns and reviews. It's fun to read or watch the top 10 moments in sports, films of the year, songs of the year and celebrity news stories that people compile. So it's not surprising I like to do the same. If you are reading this, then you likely follow at least one of my blogs. Now you have the opportunity to see what else I typically write about. As you read and review the past year entries, take notice of the other articles. Maybe you'll find something else that interests you. After reviewing this compiled list, I have to say I'm impressed. So much so, I wish I could time travel back one year and show myself what neat things I'll be writing about. Of course how awesome would it be to do that next year. But unless I see my future self in the next few minutes, I'll assume it's not going to happen...... Nope, I guess I'll have to wait for next year to see what cool things I write about in 2013.Thanks once again to all my readers, subscribers, and supporters. which classical music you would classify are bops, hits or bangerz? in my ignorant opinion i think spring is a banger bu idk
Oh good question! Obviously it’s all subjective. Spring is a banger but in my opinion I prefer playing and listening to a later piece in the same concerti set titled Winter.
As a general rule when dealing with concerto format you can always assume the first movement will have some really fun themes and get you interested, the second will be slow and contemplative, and the third will go the fuck OFF.
Some other pieces I really love that go hard are:
- Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 1 in F#: Mvmt 1 (really great mix of beautiful themes and piano shredding performance, and one of the first classical songs that grabbed me as a kid. You can always trust the Russians to write dramatic music)
- Prokofiev’s “Montagues and Capulets” from the ballet Romeo & Juliet (imagine you are a newly crowned king, and the first minute or so is the building anxiety before you enter to address your court, and after that is the confidence when you burst through the doors and just own it)
- Holst’s Planets is an excellent collection. Jupiter is the common favorite, although I really love Mars because, once again, it’s dramatic. It also does some really innovative things musically, including having the strings play on the wood side of their bows for the intro
- Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1 (Tchaikovsky is my man, because he was gay and wrote really passionately. Killer combo.)
- Modest Mussorgsky’s collection “Pictures at an Exhibition” is filled with amazing stuff. You can close your eyes and go through and listen to each song as an individual story, which was the intent. For a taste of that, here’s Baba Yaga
- Saint-Saëns Symphony No. 3: Maestoso-Allegro is a personal favorite because I think it has one of the most beautiful themes ever written, combined with dramatic pipe organ, which I’m a real sucker for
- Aaron Copland in general is one of my absolute favorite composers/people. He wrote really beautiful music that symbolized the American Dream for people, back before that was a commercial concept. And he did it as a gay Jew. Fanfare for the Common Man is a really great example of that.
- Rhapsody in Blue by George Gershwin (Another all-time favorite and another great song for closing your eyes and picturing a story. Also captures a really unique blend of orchestral music and early jazz that only a Gershwin could)
- I don’t want to go too long and make this list unreadable, so the last piece I’ll name is Scherzo-Tarantella by Wieniawski. Generally considered one of the most difficult violin pieces out there, and the bane of my personal existence for months. It’s so tricky that I don’t even like Joshua Bell’s performance, which is sacrilege really. The video I’ve linked is one of the better ones I’ve ever seen - but you’ll have to forgive the expressions she makes as she plays, there’s really nothing you can do about your face when you’re trying to perform at that level.
Hope the list is helpful! I did err on the side of dramatic and loud, but in my opinion there’s a lot to be said for slower beautiful pieces, though they don’t catch you quite as quickly. Good listening!

Chopin - Introduction and Polonaise brillante in C Major, op.3 (1829)
This is one of a handful of early Chopin works where he paired the piano with other musicians. There is also the Variations on Mozart, the piano trio, and the piano concerti. However, he quickly dropped this and would focus on piano solo for most of his life [he will also write songs, and late in life he will write two piano and cello works along with his friend and cellist Auguste Franchomme]. My guess is that he focused on his strengths, because in these early works the piano carries more of the weight anyway. This is the first polonaise he formally published, and so again shows the elevation of traditional Polish music into a more popular dance to write music into. The piano is full of fun virtuosic moments and the cello glides along with lyricism imitating the human voice. A charming work that puts me in a good mood.

Civic Orchestra of Chicago and Ken-David Masur
We so enjoyed our concert with the Civic Orchestra, that we decided that we needed to go again. On February 3rd, the Civic performed at Symphony Center with their new principal conductor, Ken-David Masur. The program held just two works: Stravinsky’s complete Petrushka, and the Symphony #3 by Saint-Saens (the so-called “Organ” symphony). My partner, who was with me, is a big fan of both Petrushka and French organ music, so he was psyched for the program.
I had not seen Masur at work before, but I found him to be a wonderfully energetic conductor. I mean, half the fun of watching an orchestra concert is the choreography, and Masur made use of hands, arms, head, hips, and feet in achieving what he wanted from the ensemble. Kinda makes me want to go up and hear him in Milwaukee sometime...
The complete Petrushka is kind of a quirky piece in concert. The overall structure of the music was tied to a very specific plot in the ballet. I’m not 100% convinced that the full score, which works wonderfully with dancers to watch, is effective as a listening experience without said dancers. I think that’s why Stravinsky himself was quick to arrange both individual sections of the dance and an orchestral “suite” from the work. Similarly, the original version used a very large orchestra, and so Stravinsky created a slightly more modest version in 1947 (also to bring the work under U.S. copyright). Nevertheless, it’s some of Stravinsky’s most colorful, evocative music, and the quirky returning references to tritones (rather than perfect fourths or fifths), gives the work a very distinctive sound. The Civic players managed all of the difficulties and quirks in the music with ease, resulting in a deeply enjoyable performance.
Camille Saint-Saens, who lived a very long time, and who was relatively prolific during his life, was once referred to as “the best of the second-rate composers,” and I fear that’s how he always sounds to me. Sure, I can enjoy the flash of his piano concerti, and admire some of the orchestral works. But I’m afraid that I side with Debussy, who once said “I have a horror of sentimentality and cannot forget that its name is Saint- Saëns.” Yeah, pretty much. So while there are some lovely, tuneful moments in the 3rd Symphony, including some passages that I have heard on WFMT in Chicago many many times, the work as a whole is not something I’d go out of my way to hear. Mind you, my partner enjoyed the work much more than I did, and I could admire the commitment and quality of the performance, even though the work overall bored me. Basically, I’m so grateful to live with someone who loves Classical music almost as much as I do, that if it means occasionally sitting through a performance of Richard Strauss’s Four Last Songs, then so be it. (I can sit there and feel grateful that Strauss didn’t write any more songs after that.) The Saint-Saens was clearly a big hit with the audience that night. And organ soloist Patrick Godon did a fine job.

What is your favorite Green Day Song?
A few months ago Alternative Press started asking questions to its readers and I thought it could be a way to tell you some of my passions. IMPOSSIBLE!!! I want to ask to Alternative Press how do you choose JUST ONE SINGLE song among the many masterpieces of Green Day.. I grew up listening to the Green Day’s song, "American Idiot" I know it by heart, Tré Cool is one of the drummers who influenced me and choose one song I find it really impossible. While I was preparing this post, I started writing the songs that most passionate me and to which I am most fond of and the list consists of 24 songs!!! Talking about every single song I think it's a bit too much, so I thought about starting from the ones that, during my short "career", I played. "Know Your Enemy" extremely powerful song, fun to play on drums, I played it live for a year-end school concert in a middle school. "American Idiot" played too many times to remind me how many and where; it's one of the first Green Day songs I've played live. "Jesus of Suburbia" a song with a very complicated rhythmic structure, but once you study it you don’t forget it anymore. "Basket Case" recognizable song from the first notes, incredibly beautiful; played in many concerts. "She's a Rebel" also this one, played many times in many concerts, I love to play it live. "Wake me up when September ends" this was the first Green Day’s song ever, which I studied, I have a beautiful memory linked to her. These are just the songs that I was lucky enough to play live, but among my favorites there are also "Viva La Gloria!"; "Welcome to Paradise"; "Are we the waiting / St. Jimmy "; "Holiday / Boulevard of Broken Dreams"; "Minority"; "Good Riddance (time of your life)"; "X-Kid"; "When I come around"; "Let yourself go"; "Sex-Drugs & Violence"; "Stray Heart"; "Bang Bang"; Christian's Inferno "; East Jesus Nowhere "; "Revolution Radio" and many others that I certainly forgot to write. But I want to end with one of the songs written by Green Day that in recent years has really excited me: "Still Breathing" every time I listen, I feel like singing it and I get excited all the time. I hope, in the future, to have the opportunity to talk in more detail about each song that I mentioned, in the meantime: I hope you enjoyed this post and see you next week with a new one. “Basket Case” canzone riconoscibile dalle prime note, incredibilmente bella; suonata in tanti concerti. Are we the waiting/St. Jimmy”; “Holiday/Boulevard of Broken Dreams”; “Minority”; “Good Riddance (time of your life)”; “X-Kid”; “When I come around”; “Let yourself go”; “Sex-Drugs & Violence”; “Stray Heart”; “Bang Bang”; Christian’s Inferno”; East Jesus Nowhere”; “Revolution Radio” e tante altre che sicuramente avrò scordato di scrivere.
