You know the feeling of when you just gained a new hyperfixation? The feeling of excitement and worry, that longing feel of desperation for whatever you’re consuming. It’s like a drug, and by god do I want more of it.

The Autism Diagnosis Deep Dive: Navigating Assessments & Next Steps
Part 1: The "Why Bother?" - Reasons for Seeking a Formal Diagnosis
Before we even talk about how to get diagnosed, let's address the elephant in the room: why would someone go through this often lengthy, sometimes expensive, and emotionally taxing process? The reasons are as diverse as autistic people themselves, but here are some big ones:
Self-Understanding & Validation: This is HUGE, especially for late-diagnosed adults. Suddenly, a lifetime of feeling "different," struggling with social cues, or having intense sensory experiences has a name. It’s not that you’re "broken" or "weird"; your brain is just wired differently. That validation can be incredibly powerful and healing. It’s like finally getting the instruction manual to a device you’ve been fumbling with for years.
Access to Support & Services: A formal diagnosis is often the key to unlocking supports.
For kids: This can mean Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) or 504 plans in school, access to therapies (speech, occupational, developmental), and other early intervention services.
For adults: This might mean workplace accommodations, access to specific mental health professionals who understand autism, disability benefits (in some cases), or specialized support groups.
Community & Connection: Finding out you're autistic can open the door to a vibrant, supportive community of other autistic people. Sharing experiences, finding solidarity, and learning from others who get it is invaluable. The online autistic community, especially on platforms like Tumblr, is a force to be reckoned with!
Informing Others & Self-Advocacy: A diagnosis can give you the language and confidence to explain your needs and differences to family, friends, educators, and employers. It’s a tool for self-advocacy.
Understanding Co-occurring Conditions: Autism often travels with friends like ADHD, anxiety, depression, OCD, Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), and gastrointestinal issues. A diagnostic process can help identify these, leading to more comprehensive support.
Tumblr Truth Bomb: Self-diagnosis is widely accepted and validated within the autistic community, especially given the barriers (cost, accessibility, clinician bias) to formal diagnosis. This article focuses on the formal process, but that doesn't invalidate anyone's self-discovery journey. Many seek formal diagnosis for the reasons above, even after self-identifying.
Part 2: The "Who You Gonna Call?" - Professionals Involved in Diagnosis
Navigating the medical and psychological world can feel like trying to read a map written in ancient hieroglyphics. Here’s a breakdown of the types of professionals who might be involved:
For Children:
Pediatrician/Developmental Pediatrician: Often the first port of call. They can do initial developmental screenings (like the M-CHAT-R/F for toddlers) and refer you to specialists. Developmental pediatricians specialize in developmental differences and delays.
Child Psychologist/Neuropsychologist: These professionals are often the ones conducting the comprehensive diagnostic evaluations. They use standardized tests, observation, and interviews.
Child Psychiatrist: Can diagnose and also prescribe medication if co-occurring conditions like ADHD or anxiety need pharmacological support.
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) & Occupational Therapist (OT): While they don't typically give the primary autism diagnosis, their assessments of communication, sensory processing, and motor skills are vital parts of the overall picture and often contribute to the diagnostic team's decision.
For Adults:
Clinical Psychologist/Neuropsychologist: Similar to working with children, these professionals are often the primary diagnosticians for adults. They'll use adapted tools and place more emphasis on developmental history and self-report.
Psychiatrist: Can diagnose, especially if you're already seeing one for other mental health concerns. They can also help manage co-occurring conditions.
Neurologist: Less common for primary diagnosis unless there are other neurological concerns, but they can sometimes be involved.
General Practitioner (GP)/Primary Care Physician (PCP): Like pediatricians for kids, they can be a starting point for a referral, though their direct experience with adult autism diagnosis can vary wildly.
Value Add Tip: Look for professionals who specialize in autism, particularly adult autism if that's relevant. Ask about their experience, their approach (is it neurodiversity-affirming?), and what the assessment process entails. Don't be afraid to "interview" them!
Part 3: The "Assessment Arsenal" - What Actually Happens?
Okay, this is where it gets dense, but stay with me! The diagnostic process isn't just a quick quiz. It's a comprehensive evaluation designed to gather information from multiple sources.
Key Components (can vary by age and clinician):
Developmental History & Interviews:
For kids: Parents/caregivers will be interviewed extensively about the child's development from birth, social interactions, communication patterns, repetitive behaviors, interests, and sensory sensitivities. School reports and teacher input are also crucial.
For adults: You'll be asked about your childhood (as much as you can remember or gather from family), your social experiences, communication style, interests, sensory profile, and current challenges. Input from a partner or close family member can sometimes be helpful, but the focus is on your experience.
Direct Observation & Interaction:
This is where tools like the ADOS-2 (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition) come in. It's a semi-structured, play-based (for kids) or conversation-based (for adults) assessment where the clinician observes social communication, interaction, and imaginative use of materials. It’s designed to create social situations where autistic traits might become apparent.
Tumblr Real Talk: The ADOS isn't foolproof. Masking (consciously or unconsciously suppressing autistic traits) can affect results, especially in girls, women, and AFAB individuals, or those who've learned to "perform" neurotypically. A good clinician understands this.
Standardized Questionnaires & Rating Scales:
ADI-R (Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised): A structured interview often used with parents/caregivers, focusing on developmental history related to autism traits.
SRS-2 (Social Responsiveness Scale): Measures social awareness, social cognition, social communication, social motivation, and autistic mannerisms. Can be completed by parents, teachers, or self (for older individuals).
CARS-2 (Childhood Autism Rating Scale): Used to identify children with autism and determine symptom severity.
AQ (Autism Spectrum Quotient): A self-report questionnaire for adults.
RAADS-R (Ritvo Autism Asperger Diagnostic Scale-Revised): Another self-report for adults.
Many, many others! Clinicians pick tools based on age, suspected presentation, and their own expertise.
Cognitive & Language Assessments:
IQ/Cognitive Testing (e.g., WISC, WAIS, Stanford-Binet): To understand cognitive strengths and weaknesses. Autism can co-occur with any level of intellectual ability. Important Note: Autistic individuals can have "spiky profiles" – very high abilities in some areas and significant challenges in others. This doesn't always translate well on standardized IQ tests.
Speech and Language Evaluation: Assesses receptive (understanding) and expressive (using) language, pragmatics (social use of language), and nonverbal communication.
Adaptive Behavior Assessments (e.g., Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales):
Evaluates daily living skills, communication, social skills, and motor skills compared to age-matched peers. This helps understand the level of support an individual might need.
Sensory Profile: Questionnaires or discussions about sensitivities to light, sound, touch, taste, smell, and movement.
Medical & Neurological Examination (Sometimes): To rule out other medical conditions that might explain symptoms.
The Goal: To build a comprehensive picture. No single test "diagnoses" autism. It's about patterns of behavior, developmental history, and how these impact daily life, all considered against established diagnostic criteria (usually from the DSM-5-TR or ICD-11).
Tumblr Pro-Tip for Assessment Day:
Be Yourself: Easier said than done, especially if you mask. But try to be as authentic as possible.
Write Things Down: Beforehand, jot down examples of your experiences, challenges, and traits. It's easy to forget in the moment.
Bring a Support Person (if allowed/helpful): For moral support or to help recall information (especially for adult diagnosis if a parent or long-term partner is involved).
Ask Questions: If you don't understand something, ask!
It's Okay to Be Nervous/Overwhelmed: This is a big deal. Allow yourself to feel whatever you're feeling.
Part 4: The "Big Reveal" - Receiving the Report & Diagnosis
After all the assessments, there's usually a feedback session where the clinician discusses their findings and provides a written report. This report can be LONG and full of clinical jargon.
If Diagnosed Autistic:
The Emotional Cocktail: Get ready for a potential mix of:
Relief/Validation: "I'm not broken! There's a reason!"
Grief: For the life you might have imagined, for past struggles, for not knowing sooner.
Confusion/Overwhelm: "What does this mean? What now?"
Anger: At past misdiagnoses, at people who didn't understand.
Joy/Excitement: About connecting with a new community and understanding yourself better.
The Report: It will outline the tests done, your (or your child's) scores, observations, and how these meet (or don't meet) diagnostic criteria. It should also include recommendations. Ask the clinician to walk you through it in plain language.
If Not Diagnosed Autistic (but you strongly suspect it):
This can be incredibly invalidating and confusing.
Ask Why: Understand the clinician's reasoning. Did they consider masking? Are they experienced with subtle presentations or adult diagnosis?
Seek a Second Opinion: If you feel the assessment wasn't thorough or the clinician wasn't a good fit, you have the right to get another opinion, especially from someone specializing in the autistic presentation you identify with (e.g., autism in women/AFAB individuals, PDA profile).
Remember Self-Identification: Even without a formal "yes," if the autistic experience resonates deeply, your self-understanding is valid. The autistic community largely embraces this.
Part 5: The "Okay, So Now What?" - Navigating Next Steps
A diagnosis isn't an endpoint; it's a signpost. Here's where the journey really begins.
Breathe. Process. Feel.
Give yourself time. There's no "right" way to react. Talk to trusted friends, family, or a therapist. Journal. Engage in your special interests. Whatever helps you process.
Tumblr Hug: You are not alone in this. Many have walked this path.
Connect with the Autistic Community:
This is arguably one of the MOST important steps. Find autistic-led groups online (Tumblr, Facebook, Twitter/X, Reddit, Discord) or in person.
Listen to #ActuallyAutistic voices. Read blogs, watch videos, follow creators. They offer insights, support, and a sense of belonging that non-autistic professionals often can't.
Value Add: This community can help you decipher what "autism" actually means in lived experience, beyond clinical definitions.
Learn (and Unlearn):
Read books by autistic authors. Learn about neurodiversity as a paradigm.
Unlearn harmful stereotypes about autism (e.g., that all autistics are like Rain Man, lack empathy, or are non-verbal).
Explore concepts like masking, burnout, autistic inertia, monotropism, and special interests (or "spIns").
Consider Therapies & Supports (if needed/wanted):
Crucial Caveat: The goal of support should be to help the autistic person thrive as an autistic person, not to make them "less autistic" or "more neurotypical." Avoid any therapy aiming to "cure" or "normalize" autism.
Occupational Therapy (OT): Can help with sensory processing issues, motor skills, daily living skills, emotional regulation. Look for OTs with a neurodiversity-affirming approach.
Speech-Language Therapy (SLP): Can help with social communication (pragmatics), understanding non-literal language, alternative communication methods (AAC), and feeding issues. Again, ensure they respect autistic communication styles.
Mental Health Support (Therapy/Counseling): Many autistic people benefit from therapy to deal with anxiety, depression, trauma (often from navigating a neurotypical world), or to process their diagnosis. Seek therapists who are autism-knowledgeable AND affirming.
ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis): This is a highly controversial topic.
Traditional ABA has been criticized by many autistic adults for being compliance-based, traumatic, and aiming to suppress autistic behaviors (like stimming) rather than supporting underlying needs.
Some newer/modified forms claim to be more child-led and focus on functional skills.
Tumblr PSA: DO YOUR RESEARCH. Listen to autistic adults about their experiences with ABA. If considering it, scrutinize the provider's methods, goals, and respect for autistic identity. Many autistic advocates advise against it entirely or urge extreme caution.
Social Skills Groups: Can be helpful IF they focus on understanding social dynamics and providing tools, rather than forcing neurotypical masking. Autistic-led groups are often best.
Parent Training/Support (for parents of autistic kids): Focus on understanding your child's needs, adapting the environment, and advocating for them, not changing who they are.
Accommodations & Environmental Adjustments:
School: IEPs/504 plans can provide classroom accommodations (e.g., noise-canceling headphones, visual schedules, movement breaks, modified assignments).
Work: Reasonable accommodations might include a quieter workspace, flexible hours, written instructions, permission to use stim toys.
Home: Create sensory-friendly spaces. Reduce clutter. Establish routines if helpful. Honor sensory needs (e.g., specific food textures, clothing fabrics).
Embrace Strengths & Special Interests:
Autism isn't just a list of deficits! Autistic people often have incredible strengths: intense focus, attention to detail, loyalty, strong sense of justice, unique perspectives, deep knowledge in areas of interest.
Special interests are not "obsessions" to be discouraged; they are sources of joy, learning, regulation, and expertise! Lean into them!
Self-Advocacy & Setting Boundaries:
Learn to communicate your needs. It’s okay to say no, to ask for clarification, to leave overwhelming situations.
This is a skill that develops over time, especially if you've spent years masking.
Patience & Self-Compassion:
This is a marathon, not a sprint. There will be good days and hard days. Be kind to yourself. You're learning a new way of understanding yourself and navigating the world.
Part 6: The "Don't Forget This Stuff!" - Final Thoughts & Value Nuggets
Autism is a Spectrum, Not a Line: It's a diverse constellation of traits. "If you've met one autistic person, you've met one autistic person." Support needs vary wildly.
Masking is Real & Exhausting: Many autistics (especially women, AFAB individuals, and people of color) learn to camouflage their traits to fit in. This can delay diagnosis and lead to burnout.
Late Diagnosis is Valid: Discovering you're autistic as an adult is increasingly common and incredibly validating. It's never "too late."
Internalized Ableism is a Thing: You might have absorbed negative messages about autism or disability. Unpacking this is part of the journey.
Celebrate Neurodiversity: The idea that neurological differences like autism are natural variations in the human genome, not disorders to be cured. Embrace it!
Phew! We made it through the deep dive! Getting an autism diagnosis can feel like the end of one chapter and the very overwhelming beginning of another. But armed with knowledge, community, and self-compassion, it can also be the start of a more authentic, understood, and supported life.
What are your experiences with the diagnostic process? Any tips for folks just starting out? Spill the tea in the comments/reblogs! Let's support each other!

hi, I have a question about Charlie if you don’t mind? is she autistic/is that why she spaces out as much as she does? asking bc I have an autistic friend who mentioned feeling frustrated with spacing out, and I’m wondering if the head pressure thing would help for her but I’ve zero clue where to find info on it (google is unfortunately unhelpful). I’ve heard that weighted blankets are helpful/feel good to autistic people but nothing regarding applying pressure to the head. TIA!
When you have kids, sometimes seeing them grow up and interacting with them unlocks memories you've forgotten or at least lost focus on from your own childhood. For example, I ... must have been a very spacey kid! As one of my kids often has trouble paying attention to basically anything going on around them, I start remembering... oh, wait, I remember my dad always asking me to pay attention. I guess... this is what that is. And so I remember having extremely delayed responses to other people -- not that I wasn't precisely paying attention, but that, you know, it'd take me a while for my brain to realize... oh hey somebody said something to you, you should get in on that. Oh, that was ten seconds ago? Okay, right. My mind was everywhere. But always with one foot sort of in reality. But I also felt the frustration other people had in my delayed responses, and also my own frustration at not being able to do anything about it. How do you just pay attention? If I could, I would! Stop being mad at me.... ten seconds ago!
That's where Charlie comes from. Is it autism? Is it ADHD? A fun cocktail??? She's somewhere in there.
As for pressure to the head: I think it's sometimes helpful to have something that... singularly distracts you. Like pinching yourself to keep yourself present. That plus the whole weighted blanket angle but on a more localized scale. In theory, I assume it's comfy
i assume in theory because i have a comically large head and hats rarely fit well on me, but i guess there was that period during the pandemic where i let my hair grow out too much and it started getting in my face and i just started wearing a winter hat all the time to manage it, and... honestly i did get a lot of work done then, so

I want every autistic person with low support needs and whos fully verbal who has never been in a negative situation with police to please sit down whenever any sort of "police are having training for autism" comes up
I have been restrained by police, handcuffed and then police unlocked my phone with face id whilst forcing my face to my phone camera, so they could call my carers.
I have been restrained by police, my ear defenders forcefully taken of of me then shouted at, and then handcuffed then dragged into a police van cage.
And Every. Single. Time. I am in public alone someone calls 999 on me, because of my autism
I dont care that you think its unnecessary and i dont care that you think it wont help or that suddenly they are going to start identifying high masking autistics and then specifically hunt you out and start mistreating you
police mistreated disabled people today, they did yesterday, they did every day last week, they actually have done every single day since the day you were born and for the last 100 years. This isnt a new thing.
The police system is corrupt absolutely, it should have much more extreme measures taken than a bit of training absolutely.
But thats not going to happen any time soon, and realistically the best thing that can happen right now is training and systems put in place for autistic people.
And sometimes. Its not for you. Sometimes. Your not going to be affected by it.
If you are high masking and invisibily autistic and you are concerned police are going to have training and specifically guess you are autistic and then abuse you based on that guess, you are severely misunderstanding who the training is for.
And its not for you, its not for people who aren't seen as much different to a allistic person, the point isnt to be able to identify autism in people who appear typical(because huge shocker most autistic people don't appear normal)
its for people who have always been presumed as "on drugs", incapacitated, mind of a baby, in psychosis, a criminal, a danger due to their autism.
And the difference of being labelled as one of those and being labelled as autistic can mean the difference of prison or hospital, restraint or calling carers, mistreatment or understanding.
Yes. No one should be mistreated. We are working within fucked up system and hopefully one day we can reach a world no one is mistreated, helping police understand autism is a step in that direction.
its for those of us who are going to have an incident with police either way and we would prefer it not traumatise us.
So no, it is not unnecessary, its just not for you!

School sucked today(KerstinCasparijXRuthBrownXTeenReader)
Tumblr media
Summary: you have a Bad day at school and need comfort from your moms when you get Home.
Warning: autistic reader
You were thankful when the school bell rang today. Cause you have been made fun off once again. You liked telling facts about football cause that's your hyperfocus and kind of always has been. Football and learning a new Instrument. Those were the two Key things. You played for Manchester City Academy and you were about to make your Debut for the Senior Team.
Quick movements, calculated, every step filled with feelings you couldn't really describe. But when you finally left the school building, you felt a bit more like you could breathe again. Your steps became lighter. Or at least they felt like that. You really looked forward to getting Home and seeing your moms. Plus getting a Mom Sandwich. It's what you called a hug from both of them at the same time with you in the middle.
Around 10 minutes later you walked into your House, after unlocking the door. Greeted by your two moms. Your Mama(Ruth) looked quite concerned when she saw you. She could tell something was up.
" sweet Girl? What's going on?" She wanted to know. You were biting down on her bottom lip. Quickly running over and hugging her. Wrapping your Arms around her. She hugged you back right away. Looking over to your Mama, with concern in her eyes.
"liefje? What's wrong?" Your Mom asked.
"some Boys from school Made fun of me again!" You admitted. Hiding your face in your Mamas shoulder.
"we need to talk to your teachers y/n. This Is the third time this month you came home crying or being upset and it's only the 7th of the month." Your Mom said and moved closer, gently stroking your hair. You sniffled softly.
"i don't like school. Can't i just play football and not go there!" You asked. Sniffling again.
"Sweetheart, that's not gonna work, but there is one Thing we can do." Your Mom said softly.
"what is that?" You asked, looking at your moms.
"well the Academy would pay for schooling and you could Go to school at Manchester City Campus!" Your Mom explained.
"can we do that please?" You asked.
"your Mom and i will Go down to the Campus monday morning to get everything in Order! And i will call school to let them know that you are sick and won't come in any time soon and that we are looking to Transfer you." Your Mama explained.
"thank you so much." You told both of them. "Can i get a Mom Sandwich?" You wanted to know and they happily agreed. Hugging you at the same time. Kissing the top of your head. This made you feel very safe. And the pressure of the hug was calming for you.
An hour later you had taken a shower and now wore one of your mom's old Kit Shirts from Twente & some running Shorts. Cuddled up on the Couch with Kiwi and Mango. Your head was hurting alot from the Stress so this just helped alot.
"Dinner is almost ready!" Your Mom announced. She was making Butter Chicken with rice and a Side salad. It was your favorite and your moms made it every friday.
"want me to get Out some plates?" You asked.
"No it's okay liefje. Your Mama already did that!"your Mom said, looking over to you. Your Mama sat down next to you on the Couch and you laid your head in her lap right away. So she started playing with your hair.
"you should get some rest after Dinner. Because you look tired sweet Girl!" Your Mama whispered out. You let out a soft yawn and slowly fell asleep. Which made your Mama and Mom chuckle but they decided to let you sleep and just warm up the food again. Cause your Mama didn't have the heart to move you. Neither had your Mom. So both watched some TV on the Couch while you slept.
Around two hours later when you were awake again you are Dinner in front of TV with your moms. Then you took a shower and went to bed while listening to an Audiobook. The Hobbit. Like you always did. Falling asleep again.

what is wrong with ritsu
i am deeply concerned and curious
Tumblr media
what is he supposed to be
some pioneer of sainthood? some warrior of justice? the heir of purity and autism? what does any of it mean?? what is this man doing???
he is not a man of ignorance. he knows of The Crimes. he knows of the ugliest, bloodiest truths of humanity and actively decides to defend them.
he upholds law, chastises those who are about to cross it, yet vows to defend those who have already proven too late. you cannot tell me this man defends taiga on the basis of knowledge he is innocent. SO WHATS HIS DEALLLLLLLLL??
his father is something of a good man in his eyes, yes? not once does he ever say his father is incapable of committing crimes. he knows, oh, he knows deeply and vehemently. each and every jay walk. but no matter what he’s accused of, no matter how possible and knowledgeable he is of his own father, he will always be classified as good
so what defines his attachments? what does he consider ‘good’? it’s certainly not law. what is law?
EXHIBIT B - The Backstory.
So he goes to court, despite his father’s reluctance. His father is defending a criminal. and he is instantly ENAMORED with the way these grown men persecute each other. the flawless arguments, professional rage. this is not admiration based on morality. something unholy has just been unlocked within. has he ever been interested in the person outside of the crime?
I don’t believe he’s ever had action with sinister intention. yet there’s no way whatever these intentions are can also be classified as good. he looks out for people and their money, yes. but does he care? do struggles mean anything? what gives a person value in this wretched creatures twisted little eyes?
i’m too lazy to type more but basically i think ritsu gets off in a court room. i am morbidly fascinated. would love to hear the general opinion.

Deltarune Spoilers ahoy but here's my big brain theory 🧠 (I've only played 1/3rd or so of ch 4 as of rn)
dunno what everyone's thoughts are on deltarune bc I haven't been in any fandom spaces since I was 20 for tales of vesperia. I kinda get the sense the consensus is the opposite of my theory?? Bc my brother is tapped into the deltarune fandom n we autism abt it together
But
I feel like Kris' soul is the real Kris. and whoever throws them out of their body is NOT Kris. It's their unprocessed grief, rage, pain, trauma, lonliness, and sorrow that takes over. And the roaring knight is using that to control Kris
because. the whole thing w studying at Noelle's house? And they were talking to the dark knight on the phone?
That was a huge confirmation for me that wasn't Kris
Bc when Kris went into Dess's room to look for the shelter code? That obviously triggered a lot of grief in Kris. bc they grew up with her as a best friend. They probably haven't been in her room for a long time. Seeing the guitar pick probably unlocked a memory
And that grief and rage and pain and sorrow? that took over for a bit. because it's right after that they talk on the phone to the roaring knight
people are not their pain, trauma, anger, or sorrow. the heart is the seat of the soul in Egyptian Kemetic culture, and in many others. It's no coincidence that Kris' soul is heart shaped
Kris has been through a lot. adopted kid whose parents divorce, his brother being the gifted kid that gets community praise and then going off to college, very socially isolated, small religious town, best friend growing up died and nobody talks about it, and they don't seem to care much for their dad when he shows up (who repeatedly still crosses Toriel's boundaries. Irt coming in to ruin her and Sans flirting, and showing up after church with flowers after her and Rudy were catching up and rekindling)
It's genuinely understandable for them to be carrying so much that they haven't processed. They're like... what? 13 ffs!! in a small town that doesn't seem to have help for any of that
and with the roaring knight being Noelle's mom Carol, who is SUPER abusive and controlling... she most definitely uses that to her advantage to control and manipulate Kris. She already does for Kris' dad
And I think that they don't stay down for long, combined with the fact the deltarune is their family's symbol (why else would she want Toriel kidnapped? She can't control Kris, and Asgore is no longer in the family, even though he's still under her control) is why she wants to control Kris so bad
... I just put together that in Undertale, Asgore kills innocent kids for revenge bc of his unprocessed grief and trauma he takes out on other ppl. it takes over him, no matter how nice or pleasant he may seem. And that's why in deltarune, the physical manifestation of that is the enemy. Not Asgore. in deltarune the manifestation takes control of the mayor of the town. Somebody else in power over a group of people with their own immense unprocessed grief and pain (the loss of her child, December)
But anyway. Back to Kris
The way that their personality shines through when you pick an answer that is more akin to them, like the option to say "nah your drawing sucks Susie" when she asks how it is leads to more fun dialogue. because saying "yeah it's great!" would just be masking who Kris really is, somebody who canonically draws and doesn't give a gaf about what people think abt what they say
On Tenna's TV Time quiz that asks what Kris' fav food is, they cough when you don't choose butterscotch pie. Signaling "BITCH YOU BETTER NOT GET THIS WRONG I love my mommy's pie!!!" 😝
Why would somebody like that open a fountain of darkness in their own home when having a sleepover with their new best friend and mom, while they're sleeping? Kris wouldn't do that. They LOVE them
When Spamton NEO attacks Kris in the castle basement, Susie and Ralsei save them. Right after, their soul enters defend their friends mode. Just like in ch 1, when the trio were betrayed by Lancer's dad, and Kris jumped in to defend them. Kris LOVES their friends. They LOVE Susie and Ralsei. That time at the diner with Susie? When they ate the special together, got free ice cream, and goofed around? drawing with their breath and fingers in the window? THAT'S the real Kris
Love is what makes us who we are. Love is stored in the soul!!! Love is what feeds us, nourishes us, keeps us alive. Love is who we are, hope an extension of that. Hope is part of the prophecy, that the lightner's will bring it when all is thought to be lost. Because those that have the greatest and brightest light are those who have experienced the greatest darkness

Unhinged analysis — Demon Slayer Mark Series d=(^o^)=b 💪
In Search of Acceptance — What Determines a Person's Worth? (Part 2)
Tumblr media
Here's Part 1!
The Significance of Muichiro's Fight with Gyokko
We all know that the fight between Gyokko and Muichiro is the least liked in the series so far and the most shat on, with fans calling it mid and lackluster. Especially when compared to the final battle against Gyutaro and Daki in the Entertainment District arc.
But I disagree. First off, not every fight has to be a spectacle. The best fights to me are those that tell a story or a battle of ideologies between the opponents that ultimately result in the development of the protagonist. Second, Demon Slayer is a character-driven story, so the plot is secondary to the development of the characters, and instead, we focus on their journeys, which include their battles. Demon Slayer's antagonists are usually a twisted or exaggerated representation of our protagonist's inner beliefs, fears, and desires. They serve as a mirror that forces the characters to look inward and examine and overcome their false beliefs and inner demons, so to speak.
Tumblr media
Gyokko is a twisted representation of Muichiro's view on worth and usefulness. This might seem obvious, but the demons don't value human life, and with Gyokko this disregard is even more apparent by his usage of the swordsmen's bodies in his 'art pieces'.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We also see his disregard in the way he callously spat out the body of that poor swordsmith he ate in the beginning when he entered the village. Rest in peace random swordsmith dude, your only crime is that you had good taste in pottery 🙏🏼😔.
So anyway, Gyokko's view of humans as worthless and insignificant is a twisted version of Muichiro's personal beliefs about worth. This is why Gyokko's comments unlocked his long-buried memories because they were similar to the words uttered by the demon that attacked the brothers, and subsequently also mirrored the words said by Yuichiro.
Tumblr media
But here's the thing, Gyokko's disregard for Muichiro and the major mistake that caused him the fight was that he underestimated Muichiro because all he saw was this tiny boy and these weak swordsmen. After all, what can two little boys and two human swordsmiths do against a powerful, old, immortal demon like him? It's just like that can-opener demon said—their lives are worthless. He considers them insignificant, so insignificant in fact that he puts little thought into his methods of killing, like trapping Muichiro in the water vase and sending his little fishies to attack Kotetsu instead of just killing them immediately.
This is also why Haganezuka's lack of attention enraged him because it made Gyokko's presence insignificant. The demon wasn't worth the attention, which to Gyokko made him feel insignificant when it should've been the other way around.
In his attempt to correct things to their natural order in a sick version of 'notice me senpai!' he underestimated not only Haganezuka's intense focus on that autism-fueled sigma grind, but also underestimated Muichiro's abilities and Kotetsu's resilience. By the time he was ready to face Muichiro, it was too late. His hubris and underestimation of Muichiro, the swordsmiths, and the perseverance of the human spirit are what ultimately led to his downfall.
Muichiro's Mark
Tumblr media
“For the sake of someone other than yourself, you can tap into an infinite strength.”
Remembering his past and most importantly his brother Yuichiro is what allowed Muichiro to unlock his mark. His core wound was that he as a person was worthless, which is why he adopted his brother's cold and callous attitude but upon revisiting his memories he realized that his brother never hated him and admired his kindness and even considered it as a strength that only the 'chosen ones' possessed which he tried so hard to protect it.
Nii-san did not distance himself from me on purpose, he treated me with importance even till his last breath. He said the “Mu” in Muichirou was the “Mu” in “Infinity”.
Yuichiro recognized his brother's worth and loved him for who he was, but it was his fear of losing Muichiro just like he lost his parents that caused him to lash out, to become hardened and angry. Then, when they got attacked, that was when his true feelings came out. Kindness is Muichiro's strength, when pushed to the brink, it was his brother and the need to protect him that gave him the courage to face and kill the demon.
It was also what made him save Kotetsu which in turn was what gave Kotetsu the resolve to save him too. While one might argue that he saved Kotetsu because of Tanjiro's words, I believe Tanjiro just planted the seed. It was Muichiro who decided to not just save Kotetsu but to protect him at the cost of his own life. He wouldn't have done that if he didn't have some semblance of kindness, even the most viable seed would fail to grow if the soil is dead.
Side note: When Muichiro unlocks his mark, it presents as two clouds on either side of his face. I believe that marks that manifest on the face are representative of the bearer's self-identity and perception. The fact that there are two clouds is representative of his connection to his brother, which I think is a really neat detail.
Tumblr media
Revisiting our past and facing our trauma is hard as hell. It's probably one of the hardest things to do when undertaking therapy. While it seems comfortable to repress the trauma, doing so may also hold us back. By facing our demons and accepting the parts of ourselves that we, the people in our lives and society deem worthless, we would be able to unlock our true potential, and I think that's what the mark represents for Muichiro.
So What Does Determine a Person's Worth?
Tumblr media
“I am no longer that Muichirou who is empty inside.”
Well nothing. Muichiro's journey of self-acceptance tells us that every one of us has inherent worth. I also believe that his story is a commentary on how boys are expected to repress their emotions from a young age. Boys are conditioned to believe that having and especially expressing traits like empathy, softness, and vulnerability is a sign of weakness, and to be weak, especially as a man, is to be worthless. The same goes for women and girls as well, where you have to display 'masculine' traits to be taken seriously.
Muichiro is a soft boy. He loves making origami airplanes, he is soft-spoken, sweet, and has adorable descriptions for his fellow Pillars even when he didn't have his memories. But he's also a badass who decimated a demon with his bare hands at 11 and became a Pillar in just 4 months. No part of him is more useful or worthier than the other, they were both instrumental in all his actions. When he realized this and his inherent worth as not just a warrior, but also a human being, was he able to achieve his full potential and most importantly to heal.
Perhaps he sensed the emotion in Muichiro's voice, because Himejima abruptly smiled. "Forget it. I don't think I need to worry after all."
In Conclusion, self-acceptance is the way to go, never underestimate anybody including yourself. No matter how weak you perceive yourself to be when the time comes for the sake of others, the people you love, and most importantly for yourself, you too can tap into infinite strength ❤🌫.
Quotes are from the unofficial translation of A Promise of Tomorrow

I think I realized why I like dog boy Yosuke and the direction you are taking it. It takes the "would you love me as a worm" question but applied properly. It blends like the connections between disability/autism and furries. Disability/autism in terms of pain of progressing the transformation and acting more like a dog and Yosuke feeling bad about it but Yu being accepting of it. Like any relationship that a partner has a disability you have good/bad days. And furries in terms of slowly not feeling human anymore.
It's when Yu takes dog Yosuke out and about and people are like "wtf why you bring your dog everywhere it doesn't belong here." The same vein as people get harassed when they are severely disabled and try to go out in public and are an "inconvenience" to others.
It's the feeling of not being human because you are treated like an animal so much (autism) that you try to repeat to yourself you are human but then one day you just say "fuck it, maybe I'm not human, maybe I relate to an animal more" then boom fursona unlocked.
Or it's when dog boy Yosuke kinda likes the feeling of action out of emotion/instinct and not have to rely on human expression and instead growl or raise hackels like all furries/neurodivergent people want to do.
It's excluding chocolate/onions out of recipes is relatable to Chrons/IBS people and dog people! Or buying buttons to communicate as a nonverbal dog is the same as a nonverbal human.
It's noticing seats/items that can't be used for your disabled partner the same way as your partner-slowly-turning-dog.
It's when any car noise/classroom bell is so loud to someone with more sensitive hearing is the same for people with dog ears or autism.
Or going hella angsty is dog Yosuke slowly losing his memory and Yu having to accept it. Like families having family members with alzheimer's. Do you still call someone your partner when they don't know who you are? When will Yu know when dog Yosuke's memory is fully gone? Will he wake up and see that Yosuke's eyes doesn't have that sparkle of humanity to them? Is that the "bad end"? Yu ran out of time to get the curse removed? Does Yosuke really want to be human? Why not be a dog and have your partner do everything for you? All you gotta do is protect him (and not bring your HP down to zero) . No taxes, no school, just you and your partner and maybe walkies every other say. Wouldn't that be better?
Yosuke saying "I'm sorry I'm such an inconvenience" and Yu saying "it's not an inconvenience to me cause it's you"
This is something I wished Persona 5 explored with Morgana or hell even with Shiho. Having people who need different accommodations than others and working with that and see how unjust society is if you dont have a full set of eyes/hands/functioning muscles or neurodivergent.
Maybe this au just scratches an itch I got. Or maybe I just want someone to massage my messed up joints and be with me when my flare ups are bad ;_;
Anyways, love your art as always!
this is a very generous breakdown!!
Yosuke loosing his mind is a very real fear i've only brushed on (with enough factors to suggest it be a possibility. When urges and behaviors happen- who's to say that it can't go further?) Personally, i hate bad ends, so it only stays a fear, and isn't ever a true possibility.
Tumblr media
These drawings, specifically, were never mentioned to be: but follow discussions of that fear
However, it's an aspect i've touched on frequently with Morgana in B2I because I feel like Mona's story could have been more of that! He has to learn to control a body that is unfamiliar to him and act in ways he never had to before. He has to perform upkeep and behaviors and perform social rules he would never have to before... and he only has the grace of a year watching from the outside in. I think one of the few things i've written is actually Mona having a breakdown at being unable to hold something properly. (also, on disability in b2I: Ren suffers chronic migraines and Yu is blind)

so i saw of the Devil on bluesky and, as a self-proclaimed Detective VN Enthusiast, had to play the demo.
and it is FANTASTIC so far. so fantastic in fact that i am typing this up on tumblr for the higher character limit
first off, the game has INSANE style points.
morgan has a huge theme of poker/gambling, and that's reflected in the game's UI in an absolutely beautiful way. the UI also brings in the cyberpunk aspect, so just looking at the UI can tell you what kind of world morgan's in and how she thinks about her job. and also it looks awesome combined with the comic book motifs of the artstyle. my only complaint on this front is that london and reyes aren't very expressive in their sprites, but it at least makes a little sense considering they're detectives. and also i've been playing ai: the somnium files, which goes above and beyond on the expression front, so my perception may be skewed here. some extra poses in the sprites overall would be nice for the full game but they are absolutely great as is and do not need it to hold up
also i LOVE that you're rewarded for interacting with the game world and understanding it. reading comprehension game my beloved <3 being rewarded for investigating every object in the room my beloved <3
some extra notes under the readmore. don't click unless you've finished ep 0
also a spoiler for zero escape: zero time dilemma but i try to be as vague as possible abt it
God forbid women do anything.
i LOVE morgan already. i didn't see the twist coming at all, but the foreshadowing was extremely solid. it could have easily felt as bullshit as the villian's reveal in ZTD, but it didn't feel like that at all - it made a lot of her past lines make a lot more sense, and it being revealed this early in the game makes me excited about how the game is going to handle it. also you texted a heart emoticon to the fucking DEPARTMENT OF STATE ? absolute fucking menace
i was playing aitsf before i picked up otdevil. i will be drawing date and reyes together with their yellow prosthetic detective-assistant eyes as soon as i finish aitsf
also the interviews in extra content are a fucking fantastic idea and every VN should do them. i've only viewed reyes's so far (i need to be up in 6 hours </3) but it was AMAZING. tell me your character has autism in one easy step (and possibly a tgirl depending on what that third thing is)
that being said, i do have a few nitpicks.
- it's obvious from the moment the photo is shown that carlos isn't the killer. iirc we already determined that carlos didn't have a right arm at the time, and whether you account for the mirror or not, the suspect in the photo has both arms. this tripped me up for the rest of the mirror segment and i think it could be fixed (relatively) easily by altering the pose of the figure such that the arm not holding the gun is more behind the figure or perhaps less distinctly an arm
- some of the solutions are a little unintuitive. to me anyway. and sometimes i am a little stupid. the one that comes to mind is the smell of the jacket -- admittedly i'm not very knowledgeable on guns, but i don't think i'd have thought of the smell of the gunpowder not being on it. that being said, gambling's kinda the point, so maybe i'm bound to have to make a few guesses
- it's not very easy to jump back to a particular segment of the episode. i unlocked everyone's interviews but morgan's on my first run, but if i wasn't such a religious multi-slot saver i might've had to do the whole episode over to get morgan's unless there's a replay option i'm missing.
i'll prolly have more and better thoughts when i'm more awake but damn that demo was good and i'm so excited for ep 1

so me and my sister just rewatched both the lego movies and we have just been yapping to each-other ever since and i really need to talk about emmet as a autistic character and the movies in general because GOD—
Tumblr media
Emmet autism power time wao
In the beginning of the first movie, Emmet is the only person we see who consistently refers to the instructions and carries it around throughout his day — kinda being a ‘script’ that other autistic people use to fit in with others or use with social situations except instead of being internalised rules it’s a *literal* instruction book (which he has many of). This being a representation of the expectations that society expects of him and the unspoken rules he needs to follow; he’s been essentially wearing a mask throughout his whole life in an attempt to fit in, but even then his peers still see him as different due to them not following the instructions as closely as he does, causing a disconnect that Emmet couldn’t know about because he assumed everyone is doing the same as him.
But by the end of the first movie, Emmet realises that he can be himself and can focus on what makes him, *him*!! Rather than constantly following what others expects of him, he unlocks the ability to master-build and uses it for specifically things that interest him and what he wants (e.g the construction robot and the double decker couch!).
This lead into the beginning of the second movie, after 5 years Emmet is now living by his own life by his own rules, he still follows instructions but this time he makes it himself! He knows that routine and it makes him the most comfortable so he continues to do it but by his own terms. (akin to how autistic people (me) use specific routines and plans to make their day to day easier).
He’s also shown to be the only person who’s appearance hasn’t changed at all, still sticking to his optimistic demeanour because it’s an integral part of his identity as a person and by not conforming to the expectations of society he’s in, he’s being himself and valuing what makes him unique — building things that are specific to solely him.
In the Christmas tree short he’s the head of the construction crew sequence team, in the movie he builds a comfortable home with all of his interests and personality stuffed inside! But it is immediately disregarded as ‘not serious’ and ‘too bright/clean/friendly’ and dangerous to society (dangerous to the views society wants him to conform to) — with that critique of his home then being an indirect critique of his character and who he is as a whole, that he cannot or should not be himself anymore, that he needs to change and be more serious, more mature, this evident key reignites the feelings of insecurity in Emmet that he should not need to feel again following the events of movie 1.
Considering Rex Dangervest as a character; this is a version of Emmet we see as who, after being stuck in a dryer and wallowing in feelings of betrayal and anger, conforms to what his old peers wanted from him, putting on another mask now of maturity. He changes his entire appearance, emphasising the change while also burying his past identity.
However, even though he’s being what others wanted of him, he’s still doing it for himself and to attempt to squash or bury the deep insecurity he now has. He’s learned that instructions aren’t needed anymore, which is yet another thing he has completely removed from his identity now and in an attempt to be as un-himself as possible, he lives his life impulsively and destructively — his entire crew being composed of raptors than people, reflecting his distrust of people and further separating himself from them, furthering his isolation in toe.
Rex is also a unreliable narrator, lying about his accomplishments and playing it up to further conform into this mask he has created and making himself seem much more special and interesting than what he may actually be, using this to push himself further away from who he used to be (quite similar to Lucy actually, but taken even further through him taking what everyone says about him literally).
But back to Emmet, when he meets Rex he is in a vulnerable point in his life both in situation and emotionally, he’s unsure of whether he should be himself or how others feel about him. He wants to be loved and known by others and not being ignored like he was in the beginning of the first movie, he’s clearly willing to change himself in order to achieve this goal even if it’s not good for him, Rex had (has) this same insecurity and feeds into this intentionally, encouraging Emmet to change himself and grow tougher and stronger mirroring what his peers used to do with him, showing a cycle of hurt that is caused because of those words and actions.
Emmet changes *insanely* quickly, learning the master-breaking ability immediately as opposed to Rex who likely needed years to perfect it, likely pushing most of his feelings deep down and even though he’s accepted more of himself at the beginning of the second movie, his whole life before then was constant repression and masking, the instructions he was given by society actively told him what to do and how to feel, how to answer others but he was never given an outlet for any negative emotions.
That many years of repression cannot be undone such a short time, but Rex gives him a destructive outlet to vent his emotions rather than a constructive one — furthering what Rex wants Emmet to be and what Rex sees as good now because of his own trauma, wishing to now better his past self and help him realise the ‘truth’ earlier than he did, both to help Emmet but also protect him from what Rex had to go through but in the end hurting Emmet anyways.
In conclusion,
Emmet is uber duper autistic and he should be able to get a therapist and also be silly *drops mic*
I have more I wanna yap about but imma give myself a lil break cause i have like, a whole talk about the second movie plus a rewrite of the entire dryer bit plus fun things but ye
But i really hope this sounded good !! if you have literally anything to add or rebuttal please let me know! :D

kacheon (Professor Cheon Geun-ah) on instagram
The background of the [Min Yoongi Treatment Center] and the <MIND Program> has already been shared extensively through Severance Hospital’s YouTube channel and public broadcast interviews.
Still, there’s a story I haven’t had the chance to share, so I’d like to add a few words :)
Among the children who participated in the MIND Program, there was a teenager with autism spectrum disorder whom I’ve been treating since their kindergarten days, over 10 years ago.
This child didn’t know how to play any instruments and was generally quiet and expressionless during the early stages of the program.
One day, while the other children were playing their instruments, the child muttered with a sullen face, “I don’t know how to play any instruments...”
At that moment, SUGA, who was nearby, quietly approached and said, “Your voice is an instrument too. You can sing !”
The child’s face lit up with a bright smile, and they suddenly started singing loudly.
It was a surprising and touching moment for everyone.
That day, the child went home and repeatedly told their mother,
“Mom! Teacher Min said my voice is an instrument. I’m going to sing now!”
The mother shared this story at the next session, her eyes welling up with tears.
This child, who usually responded to my questions during consultations with short, one-word answers and spoke very little, showed a meaningful breakthrough.
Music became a medium that transcended the limitations of language and emotional expression, unlocking the hidden potential within them.
To be honest, before the program began, I was a bit worried about how SUGA, meeting children with severe autism spectrum disorder for the first time, might find it challenging.
However, once the sessions started, he approached the children at their level, sensitively recognizing their unique traits and challenges, and naturally guiding them.
All the therapists involved were deeply impressed by his approach.
SUGA said, “It’s just a different way of expressing themselves,” and he saw the children’s strengths and potential before anyone else, without prejudice.
Perhaps that’s why the children went home saying,
“Teacher Min is my favorite!”
Of course, they had no idea until the end of the sessions that “Teacher Min” was SUGA from BTS~^^

Trick or treat!
hello hello hello thank you for arriving at my door! for you, my lovely giant gay robot, i have curated a never-before-seen Ushiten drabble, written while I wait for my landlord to finish repairing the towel rack. Its about birthdays, its about autism, its about friendship, enjoy~
---
Ushijima has never really celebrated his birthday anyway. After his father had left, that kind of childish, big celebration had been pushed aside. His mother would give him a gift, something quiet and practical, new shoes, new sweater, books or something he needed for school. She'd make him his favourite meal, and then the day would be over. Ushijima wasn't really even sure if any of the other kids at school had known it was his birthday, but if they did, they didn't mention it. He was used to the affair being quiet and unassuming - unimportant.
So he's not particularly bothered by spending the day on his own. Shiratorizawa was a boarding school, even at the middle school grades, so he'd been celebrating his birthdays like this for some time now. He doesn't even think its worth mentioning to the new team - its his first year at the high school, first year with the team, first year with this roommate, none of it feels... relevant. Why should he make a big deal about something he doesnt care about?
He got a text from his mother that morning - nothing so far has come in from his father, but technically it's still yesterday for him, so he thinks maybe he just didnt consider the time change.
He unlocks the door to his dorm, but gets halfway through the process before finding out the door was already unlocked. With a frown, he pushes open the door, calling out a greeting and inciting the intruder - one fellow first year Tendou Satori - to shriek in surprise, trip himself backwards off the chair he was standing on, and flail all the way to the ground. Ushijima starts moving reflexively to try and catch him, but pretty much everything about this is flawed from the start. Although it's technically successful, it's clumsy and impractical and Tendou's gangly limbs have already started thrashing and twisting around, and apparently likes being held or supported about as much as a feral cat would.
So Ushijima lets him go, looking up at what he's been hanging on the wall and-
"Happy Birthday?" he reads off the banner.
Tendou, trying to catch his breath and recover from his scare, looks up at him with a red face.
"Yeah. It's your B-day, ain't it?"
"Uhh..."
"Sorry it's... a little lackluster. There would have been more, I promise, but I only figured out tmit was today like an hour ago. And I thought you'd be out longer."
Ushijima turns to face him. "What's happening?"
Tendou stares back, before straightening up and saying: "Well I was trying to throw you a surprise birthday party, but clearly there's a solar flare or something interrupting my guesswork because you came back really quick."
"I always go in the morning," Ushijima agrees.
"Its summer vaycay? Why are you at the gym on your birthday?"
"...I like it?"
"Weirdo," Tendou sings, before clearing his voice and opening his arms, as if becoming a different character entirely. "Either way, bienvenue à la birthday, Leon is picking up a cake right about now, and Semi is on his way over from his mum's."
"...Why?"
"Because it's your birthday," Tendou repeats, more firmly. "Are you dense or something? What about this is hard to understand?"
"I didnt ask anyone to come over," Ushijima says, a spark of panic glowing in his chest.
"I know, I know," Tendou says. "But you can't celebrate your birthday alone, that-" he cuts himself off, perhaps finally switching that intuition of his back on as he gets a look at Ushijima again, who has started flexing his hands, turning slowly to look over the room.
"I wasn't planning on celebrating like this," he says.
"Oh," Tendou says. "You really don't like surprises, do you?"
"I didn't ask people to come over," Ushijima replies. "I don't need them to bring me things, it is not that important to me, I don't... want to spend the evening in a group of people."
"Its not... just people, we're you're friends-"
"But you're still people," Ushijima says. "Who in short order will be in my room for an indeterminate amount of time and I will not be able to control when they leave nor will I be able to leave myself because I will already be home and-"
"Okay," Tendou says, putting his hands up and approaching slowly. "No worries at all. I can text the other guys, and they will stay away. We can just call it off."
Ushijima takes a slow breath.
He is beginning to think that maybe his lack of birthday celebrations was not, actually, lack of investment on his mother's part.
"Everyone will be annoyed, or mad, that they put the effort in, we should-"
"Hey, Ushi," Tendou says. "That's not your problem. Let me take care of it. Its your birthday, so you get to celebrate however you want. Thems the rules."
Ushijima nods slightly, looking back at him and trying to take in the sincerity in his expression. He's only known Tendou for a few months, but he's an odd little fellow, all spikey features and curled lips and exaggerated expressions. Ushijims thinks this is a new one, though, this kindness. He'd always just seemed... well, for lack of a kinder term, self-serving.
"You really won't be upset? That I'm refusing your party?"
Tendou smiles, shrugs, and says: "Hey, life's a lot more fun when you indulge everyone's weird little quirks. I'll plan something you like next year."
Ushijima frowns. "That sounded-"
"Like a threat? You betcha."
And this makes Ushijims smile. Almost. He thinks he would smile, but he doesnt feel his face do it. Maybe, he thinks, its because that althought Tendou joked about being a threat, it was more of a promise. And a promise meant that Tendou wanted to stick around at least that long.
"Thank you," Ushijima says, and Tendou gives him a mock salute, then turns and waltzes off to the door.
"Oh!" he says, turning around as he opens the door, pointing at him. "But you will have to put up with the gift. Its there on your desk-" Ushijims glances over to see the neat, cleanly wrapped narrow box. "Spoiler alert, its chocolate, but I... uh... did it wrong, so maybe dont eat it. But it's the thought that counts, right?"
Even from here, Ushijima can see the little gift tag hanging from the bow, and the messy, scratchy writing, where Tendou has tagged the gift not from himself or a group, but under the title of 'your bff.'
It is interesting, Ushijima thinks, that he would not have needed to know who it was from to understand the vague gift tag. He would have known. He's only known him a few months, but he would have known.
"Yes," Ushijima agrees, looking back to where Tendou was. "It is the thought that counts."

Are we talking about transformers and xenomorphs? Cause I have thoughts on Megatron aligning himself with a queen and using Starscream as a breeder for xeno-cybertronian hybrids. Though he's more uhh traditionally impregnated. Idk the thought of a face hugger coiled around his thighs, fucking him with its ovipositor is so fucking hot
Ohohohoho honey. You're new here, aren't you?
Congratulations, you have unlocked the Power of Autism. Prepare to be ranted at lmfao
ANYWAY YES!! My beloved cybermorphs AU is smthn we've been building for months: beautiful terrifying cosmic horrors in the form of cybertronian-xenomorph hybrids, a techno-organic species we call cybermorphs. Megatron doesn't align himself with a queen, he is a queen! The very first one, in fact 😌 he and 4 others make up the very first generation of morphs, springing from 5 unfortunate warframe mecha that were exposed to and infected with xenomorph embryos
Xenomorphs and cybertronians are some of the most adaptive species in existence, both on polar opposite ends of the spectrum: one streamlined to be the ultimate, perfectly evolved killing machine that can thrive without oxygen or food, and the other a nearly-invulnerable inorganic species with the ability to rewrite their physical form at the drop of a hat. Put together they make the most dangerous, invasive, and voracious species the universe has ever seen. All of the xenomorphs killer instinct and capability to rapidly propagate blended perfectly with cybertronian invincibility and next-level processing power. They're damn near unstoppable
To address the other character you mentioned tho 👀 Starscream usually takes one of two roles in this AU: most commonly, he's one of the first mecha Megatron mutated into a morph (as a queen caste, he has transmutative royal jelly + venom), and Starscream serves at his side not only as one of his praetorians (a caste of xenomorph that essentially act as an immobile queen's royal guard), but also as one of his favored sires. In some universes, he serves as Megatron's King, a field military commander that commands the drones + warriors while the queen is immobilized in the hive. Starscream and Megatron's offspring are what we refer to as Vosimorphs, incredibly fast flight capable morphs that spit venom and can cloak very efficiently.
NSFW under the cut 🤭
As far as facehugger valve-fucking someone with their ovipositor 👀 see I hadn't really considered that! We've once discussed some crazy SOB (Shockwave. It was Shockwave) offering himself to a morphling egg and doing a handstand so the "highest orifice" instinct made them go for the valve instead, but 🤤 now I'm just imagining someone all strung up and immobilized by the secreted resin, the facehugger nestled up against their valve and sucking at the lips, thoroughly penetrating them for the implant while the poor incubator moans and thrashes and tries to get away. Be still my beating heart 🥰
