honestly it's really nice to see the writers Finally settle on a firm concept for artem after like 4+ years.

mr. cold and serious and intimidating "emotionless robot attorney" artem wing, whose parents weren't bad people, but were rarely around for his childhood and oftentimes didn't even show up to major life events like award ceremonies or birthdays. artem, who never had a normal childhood doing normal childhood things like going to the amusement park, but who also didn't have an objectively Bad childhood, and thus feels like he has no right to complain about anything. artem, who was a kind and understanding child who went out of his way to avoid causing trouble, and never outwardly showed negative emotion, because he knew his parents were busy.

artem, whose family friend and eventual mentor neil hume was more of a father to him than his father ever was. neil, who showed up to major life events, who tried to take him to the amusement park, who kept an eye on him and taught him right from wrong. artem, who has never outwardly expressed this, and now might never have the chance.

artem, who - despite the cold and hardened exterior he uses as a facade - is still that same kid he once was. the same kid who was kind and gentle. who is lonely, inexperienced in interpersonal relationships, and desperate for the approval of his loved ones. the one who never got the chance to have a normal childhood, but refuses to blame anyone for it.

artem, who is now struggling with neil's disappearance and possible betrayal. artem, who had to watch a video of neil being tortured for information while being unable to save him. artem, who is usually unflappable and logical, willing to throw his life and reputation away just to try and save his father figure and HIS reputation. artem, who is terrified of falling to corruption, willingly taking that chance if it means the one person who cared about him when no one else did can live instead.

artem, who is flawed, repressed, and extremely intimidating at first glance, but who is ultimately a really gentle and sometimes naively idealistic person who would willingly sacrifice himself if it meant his loved ones could live freely.

taking risks to his career and life for neil's guaranteed safety. repeatedly stating if rosa were to ever turn him down, he would respect her wishes and be content with her happiness. allowing himself to be the scapegoat of public discourse if it means protecting his co-workers at themis law firm.

(Na)Talia: screw you she's real and i love her. had a lot of free reign since the only detail Mischa mentions is her hair (which i had to google lol). Talia is my absolute favourite rtc song so i wanted to keep the flowey skirts from the 2016 choreography but gave her a bit of an edge because she canonically listens to (and presumably enjoys) rap

okay so. in the beginning aziraphale and crowley were both angels. they met when crowley was making stars and galaxies and all that pretty stuff, and aziraphale came to say that they were going to shut it down after a bit. crowley gets upset and goes whaaaa this is so cool why would they do that (lil thing to note. aziraphale is like. interested in crowley but he doesnt really care) and then they have some really nice scene

d'aww. ok and so THEN! some big war happens i think? i dont know they dont show that part and crowley falls. demon moment!!! and then they go through all these different decades being friends, getting to know each other, and its great. aziraphale sins a little bit (gluttony), crowley saves aziraphales books, and they all have fun. oh btw. crowley can transform into a snake, and apparently hes the one that caused adam and eve to eat the apple? BUT! theres this other great scene where theyre talking, and its revealed that aziraphale gave his flaming sword to adam and eve, showing that he loves humans and has a soft spot for them, and theres this other great shot

THE PARALLELS!!!!!!!!! AUUUGh (^ this one came before. btw) and so this is sort of them showing how ohh, theyre not supposed to hang out because angel good demon evil waaah but they just KEEP ON FINDING EACH OTHER. oh and. speaking of like. showing off different softer sides of them. in season 2, theres a lot of bits where they show that crowley is pretty much putting up this show of being so meaaan and eeevil but hes actually nice and cares about humans (bringing jobs kids back, keeping that girl from dying, etc). ok now onto talking about season one. warning i havent watched this season in a bit so this is just me going off memory.

(to make him sin/be good) and then they realize on his 11th? birthday "aw crud! wrong baby." and go on some search to find the right antichrist. and that brings us to ADAM!!! hes the antichrist, and one coooooool kid. hes pretty normal tho and just hangs out with his friends. and then one day on his 11th birthday this dog shows up! (hellhound) and then off on the side theres this witch lady named anathema device who has a book that knows the future. crazy stuff. oh and this guy names newt whos kinda a dork and talks to this weird witch hunter guy shadwell and his neighbor madame tracy. oh and the four horseman of the apocalypse are around and free OKAY. into it now. anthma knows something bad is going to happen (book), and she moves to london because thats where its gonna happen!! whaaaat!!! and newt moves to london because uhh. witch finder i think? and he goes to meet shadwell and accidently meets tracy. not important rn. shadwells kinda bonkers and freaks newt out. ok now onto anathema. im pretty sure that aziraphale and crowley were driving around (oh btw. he has a magic bentley) and hit her!! yeoch. and after driving her home she accidentally leaves her book in the bentley and aww they gotta meet up again aw shucks. okay now they go searching for adam (antichrist) and i dont think they find him? anyways i forgot how but then tracy shadwell newt and anathema all meet up with crowley and aziraphale and do a seance. i forgot what about but ohh nooo aziraphale is in madame tracys body!!! ok so i kinda forgot how again but somehow theyre all at some big area and the four horsemen and running around i forgot what theyre doing and BLAM ADAM SHOWS UP hes mad. hes trapped his friends into doing what he wants. hes gonna start the apocalypse. average 11 yr old stuff. BUT!!! crowley and aziraphale manage to calm him down and newt blows something up. idk whats going on anymore. satan comes out, "grrrah im ur father adam". its a nice lovely moment. but oh wait!!! gabriel (heavens big man) and beezelbub (hells high duke) come down/up and r like "yall r in biiiig trouble! cant be doin all this" and they try to kill both of them. aziraphale in hellfire, crowley in holy water. that scene comes and yoo wait theyre both alive??? this is insane!!!! theyre both MILKING it, bein dramatic and then. at the end. WHAOOOAH THEYRE ACTUALLY THE OTHER ONE?????

Jax- as much as i wanna say they hate each other, the more i think about the more i can see them having a love/hate friendship going on. like they arent buddy buddy, but there probably exists some moments where they can agree on something and perhaps even work together in a decent duo. though it is rare you see them interacting and hanging out one on one

Pomni- weirdly enough i think zooble would be sympathetic to pomni, given her freak out when she first landed in the digital circus and her wanting to escape instantly. do i think zooble was the same when they got stuck? not exactly, but hey that's something else. as for actual interactions, i think if they got to interact more one on one i think the constant anxiousness from pomni would get on their nerves, since they're more of a "this is how things are now and theres nothing that can be done to change our fate, so its better to just accept it" person (at least thats how i read them)

Ragatha- finds ragatha to be one of the most tolerable of the group thanks to ragatha just. being kind to others and understanding. they stay in their own lanes for the most part, but zooble knows if they need something they can go to ragatha for a hand!

Kinger- torn between saying they hold a grudge over the gloink thing or not. i feel like it would be a baby grudge, like they dont think about it every single day and they can still talk to kinger without thinking about it but when they DO remember they get a lil mad. as for actual relationships, they would probably find kinger's antics irritating (namely the screams) so i don't think they would hang out with him much either

Gangle- wife/j no but ive been thinking about gangle x zooble since i was introduced to it because i genuinely do love the idea of them so much i wanna make more ideas for these two. anyways! these two hang out a lot, actually if you're looking for one you should probably try looking for the other since odds are the one you need isn't too far off. as stated in a previous post gangle is the only person allowed in zoobles room. love these two

i can't get the thoughts into words but the diner by Billie ellish is so S,IL Jay?? I can't explain why but it's him and his obsession/stalking of Alex

You're so so so so right. This song is soooooo Jay, poor guy. Poor lil freak. Poor lil freak stalker. Idk how to put it into words either, but this song just feels like Jay, kinda off kilter, the gait of his emotional reactions is just kinda off. Idk maybe uncanny is the word? I feel kinda like the way Jay is with Alex almost falls into the uncanny valley but if there was an uncanny valley for emotions? (Can you tell I don't understand the uncanny valley effect? I only feel it for dogs 💀)

The song feels like that too, kinda creepy and dark and just Off a bit, y'know? I feel like that's Jay. A lot of that's probably just general mental illness stuff, cos that seems to make people fall into the uncanny for people? But just, yeah, idk 👍

But like, yeah idk, he's not evil, he can get better, he does TRY to get better once he's been away from Alex for a few years, once he's with Tim. But he does need therapy, and he's all resistant to that.

Like I love calling him and Alex toxic and shitty and stuff, and like, they are. They're just two of those people who just need to stay away from each other, who can only make each other worse. And then they decide, yeah let's be best friends since like, primary school. Because they were both weird and freaky and no one else liked them, so of course they gravitated to each other, and of course because everyone else hated them, they grew to love each other almost obsessively to make up for that.

And like, obviously the operator is involved and it's making it all worse, so chuck that out of the equation for a moment. When Jay and Alex are with other people, they do get better. Alex has like three great years with Amy where he learns to get over his internalised homophobia and how a relationship can have proper communication etc. And when Jay's with Tim he starts to learn that he can't rely on manipulating situations to get what he wants, he slowly stops feeling so hung up over his relationship with Alex (this poor man does NOT know how to let go of things 💀)

Jay and Alex are just not good for each other, and thats fine, sometimes that just happens.

Sorry anyway idk where that lil rant came from. Probably cos I've been If It Ain't Broken brained for a while and I miss the fluff and slow getting better that I was writing with the last chapters of "Sorry, It's Locked". They're my babies and I can't wait to write their first time, before they got super toxic together and all that.

Also can't wait to write the aftercare part of If It Ain't Broken chapter 4. I just need to write fluffy. I need those two specifically to have some fluffy and healthy stuff together, because so far I'm reeeeeaaaally painting them as shitty shitty shitty, and they weren't always like that, like, not even most of the time. Like my intention with them is that most of the time they're literally just fine, a lil tense maybe, but not as god awful shitty as theyre being in their worst times, aka the times you see in If It Ain't Broken.
