I gotta say, I'm loving your fusions and their designs they're so silly and pretty!

…can you tell I was excited for this one…?

I’ve already had this fusion in my head for a WHILE. The entire time I’ve just been thinking about Lapis and Jasper’s super toxic fusion and giggling to myself. THE ONLY REASON I LOVE IT SO MUCH IS BECAUSE OF LAPIS’ DECISION TO KEEP JASPER DOWN IN AN ACT OF REVENGE. I LOVE DESERVED REVENGE. I thought it totally fit Ruin and Nexus because of all the harm Nexus inflicts on Ruin.

Ruin has always put morals first and kills anyone who threatens harm against people he cares about. He has nothing left to lose, but gives everything.

Not a ship!! I really like the idea that Solar and Ruin have a “we could’ve been friends” type of relationship that allows a shred of sympathy for one another, but thats basically it.

There’s a lot of SU references here, the first quote is a quote from Lapis herself!! The second dialogue, though, is my own writing!

OTHER CONCEPTS

• Nexus and Ruin are an incomplete fusion, this means they share a fused body, but their minds are still separated. This is very harmful for fusions and highly irregular.

• This fusion would help Nexus avoid his canon death.

• Ruin keeps Nexus hostage instead of letting him die in canon because he holds sympathy for Solar who would not live with himself if Nexus died before he could reach him. He also believes suffering in life is more of a punishment than death is.

• This is based off of complete revenge on Nexus and protection for Solar and the other celestials. Ruin doesn’t believe they deserve a harmful brother like Nexus.

• Ruin, as the fusion, flies off somewhere isolated to stay and focus on suppressing Nexus.

• Nexus has far less power when it comes to controlling the body from the mind while Ruin has all of the experience. Nexus didn’t ever have to face that mind-space suppression while Ruin knows how to take control from both sides.

• Nexus can still torment Ruin psychologically from his position and slowly break Ruin’s spirit. They both now have full access to his own memories, unadulterated.

Look at these two clips and tell me they don’t hold some resemblance.

ANALYSIS OF THE OZ N VIC SCENE? AND GENERAL THOUGHTS?

**spoilers; i tagged it too anyways so please don’t get mad at me**

saying that you ‘don’t believe in kismet’ before strangling the only person left that ‘makes you weak’ to death is SOOO (good writing but sooo painful).

oz didn’t want to kill vic, even recognizing that he didn’t deserve to die like that through that little line, but he instead ‘needed’ to kill him, to get rid of that last weakness, an emotional weakness. to be ‘destined’ to die by his hand implies it had been deserved and meant to be, but instead it was only fate that oz needed to have in his hands lest he risk it end up in someone else’s and risk the opportunity for his own destruction. after all, family ties is what had destroyed the maroni’s, causing every one of their deaths, and even to a less-outright degree, sofia’s fate in returning to arkham. family opens the door for revenge and revenge ultimately destroys all.

‘but thats the thing about family, family makes you strong but it sure as hell makes you weak; I can’t have that no more, it’s too much, too fucking much’. oz is even seen teary-eyed as he strangles vic, unlike all of his other outbursts somewhat similarly caused by an emotional ‘jab’ at his character, like killing alberto for insulting his dream or his own brothers after they’d made him feel humiliated by his leg—there is visible pain and even apologies in a broken voice, telling vic it wasn’t for nothing, that he was a good man, and implying it to be for a greater cause—someone who truly never cared would never even care to utter any words of the slightest bit of ‘comfort’ in the moment , but that care is clearly something that oz quickly, and has to, stifle. he doubles down on that defense with how apathetically he takes vic’s wallet, hesitates looking at his ID before his expression quickly sours again, most likely blocking out any more unwanted/unnecessary feelings, and tosses the card (the last reminder of vic) into the water, successfully suppressing everything that could make him weak; in snuffing out family and vulnerability, his own humanity had been snuffed as well.

sofia exposed his weakness and TORE it open in a way that no physical torture could inflict (another thing makinf sofia such an interesting character). after being faced with the severe consequence of having any piece of vulnerability exposed, especially with someone who wanted nothing more than to rip into that wound and shred what she could given the chance, he could not let that happen again at any cost—especially as he climbs to higher power, which would make the fall only so much harder and cost so much more. oz being an emotionally vulnerable character with a severely, overcompensated guard, and then having a more psychologically-focused character like sofia as his adversary, was an excellent choice by the writers.

i love the bit from oct 17 2020 when tommy and quackity trapped wilbur in a cobblestone box to keep him from pressing the button... wilbur punching through the blocks with his bare hand to try to get to the button... tommy frantically replacing the block in front of him yelling for quackity to do something... the moment when tommy stops, blocks the exit, and tells wilbur to do it. press the button. but then theyd die with him. quackitys like "wait, wait-" but tommy holds his ground and wilbur. ohh wilbur. "why'd you have to make it so hard?"

i actually have a hard time understanding childe's character and is mostly because of other people's takes + im like so scared of mischaracterizing him

#like when ppl where saying he doesnt kill and people were calling that mischaracterisation #and then they turned around and called him a sociopath who doesnt care about others (sooo not true its painful)#its not that its a middle ground- both versions are just. not him #i think childe kills not because he's some homicidal maniac but because its his duty to the tsaritsa #and while he does not do it on text from my pov is like heavily implied? yk? her majestys weapon?? feared in battle?#but the word duty is important #i think childe wants to be good- more than anything #he wants to be a good brother and a good son and a good comrade #and being a harbinger is what has allowed him to do so #being her majesty's weapon is both a prision and liberty for him #he can take care of his family. he can find strong opponents. he can gain strength.#he cant make meaningful connections with others. he cant always do the work he wants to do. he cant (always) be the good guy #last part is the most important to me. its clear during liyue he didn't enjoy putting innocents at risk #but he does so anyway- out of duty #and here is My Interpretation: childe knows his position and knows it will force him to hurt others #which he doesnt enjoy #and to cope with that he seems to have convinced himself that if he only hurts those who are bad then it means he himself is not bad #for childe that is enough. except we know it isnt #the fatui is a deeply unethical organization- even if their goals are pure their means arent and we know that #childe thinks that separating himself from his coworkers and just trying to hurt those who he (or the fatui) deems as bad is enough #but it isnt enough ! because he still is contributing to said organization- he is by extenction enabling their unethical actions #he isnt good #and thats what i love about him #him not killing wouldnt make sense because then what is his internal struggle? why is then that the older members of his family hold +#so much contempt for him #if he were just a silly malewife who just likes to battle - why would his father have sent him to the fatui in the first place #along the same vein him enjoying killing and finding no issue with it wouldnt make sense either #because again then where is the conflict- by several voicelines is clear childe doesnt care much about himself / has a low self esteem #childe knows whats right and whats wrong and he knows that what he is and what he does isnt right #yet he still does it. out of naivety or (and i like this answer more) duty

When I was talking about it with my partner, I was thinking about just how much of an ASSHOLE he was to Rex. And what he SAID to Rex about Echo during that arc in season 7 "I would have left him for dead too, after all he's just another reg" like BRO WHAT? That's why I hated him so much at first = _ = and that's also why I figured it's not out of the realm of possibility for him to say something like that to Brea! Maybe he didn't really mean what he said about Kep but he DEFINITELY just wanted to hurt Rex.

Like...I imagine he and Brea haven't been in contact for a while but he's been thinking about her this whole time you know? Maybe he's even thought about trying to reach out to her but his dumb pride doesn't let him, and then when they see each other again it's too late. Not sure how he finds out but she's clearly in love with Rex now, a REG, something Crosshair inherently dislikes but he now HATES. Not to mention when order 66 happens, Crosshair can feel that pull, less so than an unaltered clone but he still feels it and it's probably FUELED by his feelings of betrayal BY Brea. The jedi are traitors according to his coding, but she specifically betrayed HIM in his mind. And for THAT they must pay.

when i was seven and our trailer burned down, i thought about leaving my father there, grabbing my brother, and getting us the hell out

i didn't. i ended up waking our father and we all ended up at the neighbors' house

because the minute he had a chance to be alone with me (after we got to my grandma's trailer) guess what he did! shortly after our fucking HOME burned down and the firefighters gave my brother and i teddy bears and wrapped blankets around us for shock!!!!!! fucking christ i hate our father more than anyone on this earth

I loved how in all the "Sanji equal to zoro" arguments (which I just observe and am not a part of bc you nerds take shit too serious) was like "Sanji held off queen all by himself" while chopper wrecked queen for like a full half hour by himself while Sanji was at his dominatrix appointment! and y'all won't give chopper any props for that. tbh chopper is more equal to zoro bc they both have a semblance of duty and manners too.

i can't believe the moment that catches me so completely off-guard and makes me fucking bawl is a flashback scene between chuck and jimmy that i didn't expect to happen

i fucking love weddings dude. i’m having so many feelings tonight

#my cousin michael got married!!! he is my cousin taylor’s sister #i miss taylor so much. she would have been SO proud of her brother. i could feel her presence all night #what is it about celebrations that make you miss the people who have passed? so bittersweet #i just know that whenever taylor is… she was watching him get married with the biggest smile on her face yelling ‘THATS MY BROTHER!’#she was always so proud of him.#and it’s so like… his now-wife sat with taylor on her deathbed and promise that she’s marry him someday and take care of him.#and she kept that promise tonight #it’s just so nice to be in a room full of people who love and miss her just as much as i do. her absence was so heavy tonight.#but when i tell you that mike has NEVER smiled as wide as he did today… he’s so in love and SO happy.
