i rlly cannot express enough how much love i have for the death note fandom... im fairly new to it obviously but everyone has been SO NICE ABOUT MY ART OH MY GOSH. ive been in a lot of fandoms where ppl were sweet abt my work, but the level of interaction and enthusiasm i have gotten since starting to draw death note art has been like incomparable tbh... i am always so excited when yall leave nice tags and stuff bc they ARE always SO nice

(with varying degrees of canon possibility):

To not leave fingerprints at the crime scene (possibly canon according to an interview with the devs)

To hide injuries caused by Ex*lsius (heavily implied but not outright confirmed)

To hide injuries caused by general clumsiness combined with blood/skin conditions (again not confirmed but still probable. Happens to me a lot due to VWD.)

Eustace Winner is a character whose arc could not have worked like it did if Pheonix was the main character, purely because he’s a reasonably well adjusted adult, who would want to know WHY such an obvious child is working as a prosecutor. The second that kid left the room him and Maya would have turned to Verity, selected the subject line [Eustace Winner], and then broken her psychic locks to unlock his entire backstory.

I feel very grown up!

I’m thinking about my future career and what I want to do. I can either:

- go into screenwriting and try to be a success at that

-get my masters in writing while working on a book for adults

-just work on the book for adults lmao

- shift careers dramatically and go into hair and wigs for stage and film (my special interest)

- do what my mom wants: get my PHD and become a teacher

I’m going to continue to give writing YA a good shot. I have 2 books on the horizon (Adam, Mine and Ellie Ellie) and then I maybe have one more in me. Then I think I have to branch out to adult or die trying.

For Hollis I’m going to give it a really good shot to try and get some notoriety. I’m going to invest in publicity and see if it makes a difference for me.

But what I can’t do is keep making beautiful, meaningful, critically acclaimed YA, with modest distribution, that just manages to outsell high 7 figure advances, that’s distributed to me so irregularly that one year I made just $15k.
