Bethany's Bizarre Miraculous Halloween Special
Ah, October 15th. The midway point of October, a good time for me to post my Miraculous Halloween Special idea. This is honestly pretty independent from both my Rewrite and Shift Season, because chronologically it takes in late season 3, which I determined to be in Spring 2016, but this takes place in October. So yeah. Not really canon, but fun!
The akuma plot is pretty simple. It's Halloween in Miraculous Paris, but Grandpa Rolland is pissed that an American holiday is invading France. Hawkmoth akumatizes him into the Gargoyle, Ladybug and Chat Noir fight him, you know how it goes. What really matters is the civilian plot, and what everyone is going as:
Marinette, Alya, and Nino are all going together and Chaperoning their little siblings or Manon, in Marinette's case:
Alya is Ladybug while Marinette is Chat Noir. This was Alya's idea.
Nino is Jason Voorhees.
Manon is also Ladybug, while Ella and Etta are both Rena Rouge (one of them is supposedly an illusion, I'm not sure which one,) and Chris is Carapace.
Chloe and Sabrina are also going trick-or-treating going to a secret exclusive Halloween party. Chloe is Zelda while Sabrina is Link.
Adrien somehow convinced Nathalie (who's dressed as a witch,) and Tomoe to let him and Kagami go trick-or-treating together with the Gorilla as a chaperone. Adrien is Shinji Ikari, Kagami is Utena Tenjo, and the Gorilla is EVA Unit-01.
Ivan and Mylene are also going together alongside Ivan's little sister. The three are going as Sulley, Mike, and Boo from Monsters Inc. respectively. (Thanks to msweebyness for the idea, btw!)
Rose and Juleka are going as well, chaperoning Rose's four little goblin brothers (headcanoned characters):
Rose is Ladybug (she couldn't get Juleka to be Chat Noir.)
Juleka is Killer Queen (she couldn't get Rose to be Kira Yoshikage.)
The triplet brothers are the three little pigs, while the fourth youngest brother is the big bad wolf.
Although she's not coming with them, Rose's bratty younger sister (also headcanoned) is also trick-or-treating with her boyfriend, going as Peach and Mario respectively.
Nathmarc are also going, with Nathaniel's first cousins once removed niblings (even more headcanoned characters):
Marc is going as Kyoya Otori and managed to rope Nathaniel into being Tamaki Suoh.
Nath's niece is dressed as a goat, while Nath's nephew is dressed as a chicken.
Not everyone in the class is trick-or-treating, however. Many of them are going to the school's Halloween party:
Max is dressed as Markov, while Markov is dressed as Max.
Kim is a basic sheet ghost while Ondine is a mermaid.
Alix decided to go as the scariest thing she knows: Chloe. Chloe, when she comes to the party because she's done trick-or-treating Sabrina got tired of the secret exclusive party, is not amused.
Principal Damocles is the Owl (Hoo Hoo!), Ms. Mendeleiev is the Bubonic Plague, and Ms. Bustier is inexplicably a succubus.
Most of the students are going to the party after trick-or-treating. Aurore and Mirelle are some of these students. Aurore is Hurricane while Mirelle is Snowflake (both United Heroez.)
Lila unfortunately didn't have time to dress up because she was too busy planning the downfall of her enemies and living multiple lives helping out with all her charities.
As for adults giving away candy on Halloween:
Tom is in a gorilla suit while Sabine is a nurse.
Marlena is out working this Halloween, so Otis is handing out treats dressed as a Leopard.
Andre is giving out large candy bars to the kids that trick-or-treat there. His wife wouldn't let him dress up, though.
Luka (dressed as Josuke Hishagikata,) is handing out candies on the Liberty. Anarka is dressed as Lisa Lisa.
Max's mom is dressed as an astronaut.
Mylene's dad is dressed as the mime from his performance.
Roger's busy with his job, so he left out a bowl of candy that tells you it's your civil duty to take one and only one candy.
The Agreste Mansion isn't giving out candy, unfortunately. Gabriel doesn't like the holiday.

A/N: Yallz have no idea how excited I am to finally be sharing the fruits of my labor. This fic is something I wrote during the pandemic in my Baby Army days when the few fanfics I read didn't satisfy me. It took me a while to learn how to navigate to find the good stuff. The ones I stumbled upon were too insta-love/smutty with NO plot; of course this was back when my love for BTS was at the stage of innocent adoration in contrast to where I am now in my delulu derangement. :D
Holed up with my roommate/cousin, "S", and our friends Garrett and Marlena in 2020, I wrote this to pass the time and to entertain them. S is a Jin-bias, so some of the scenes are catered to her.
This is a completed fic that I am rewriting, so don't worry that I'll fall off the face of the earth. The end will come and I hope it will satisfy your Jin loving, plot driven heart! A new chapter will be posted every Monday. I hope you enjoy the fic!
Here's the Youtube / Spotify playlist I listen to on shuffle as I write this.
Also, last but not least, thank you to my betas, @justamomnamedamie and @miksancheese ! I seriously could not do this without you!

30 Day Writing Challenge - Day 3
Use the words: kitchen, date, music (from this list) ➸ this could be canon-verse (ish??) or it would honestly work for any AU of mine too. choose your own adventure!
“This doesn’t count as our big date night, for the record.”
Foggy actually pauses in the middle of pouring the wine and gestures around him in bewilderment. “What? Why not?”
“We’re in the office kitchen,” Matt says, leaning back in the uncomfortable plastic chair. When they’d moved into their new office—after a much longer time than either of them had counted on working out of the back of the Nelsons’ shop—money had still been tight enough that most of their furniture was secondhand and largely donated by well-meaning friends and family. They’ve been slowly replacing things to make the place seem less ramshackle but it takes time and they’ve obviously focused their early efforts on the spaces that their clients actually see. The pathetic little kitchen table with its two chairs is not a high priority for replacement, all things considered.
“What’s wrong with our kitchen?” Foggy asks. “Kitchens can be romantic.”
“Kitchens in general can, sure, but this one cannot.”
“And I’m asking why not?”
“For one thing, it’s not really a kitchen,” Matt says. “It’s a coffeemaker, a few cabinets, and a microwave.”
“And a sink,” Foggy replies, cheerfully. “Don’t forget the sink.”
“Oh, right. The sink does make it more romantic.”
“Thank you!”
“A date needs ambience,” Matt continues, undeterred. “Candles, or mood lighting, at the very least. Music or…something! We have none of that.”
“I can get that wind-up lantern we have in case of power outages, if you think that would help,” Foggy says. “And I think I have a kazoo in my office.”
“Why do you have a kazoo, of all things?”
“Marlena’s daughter gave it to me last time they were here. I think it counts as our payment for that case, by the way.”
Matt shakes his head, refusing to be amused. “We’re drinking bodega wine and eating…God, what are we even eating?”
“Your choice of—” Foggy is interrupted by the crinkling of plastic—“frozen breakfast burritos or…pizza bagels.”
“We’re grown men,” Matt says, scandalized, but somehow his smile escapes his attempt at containment. “This is pathetic.”
“I don’t know when you suddenly got too good for convenience store fare, but I’ve never made any such claims.”
“Your mother would kill me if she knew this is what I let pass for a romantic dinner.”
“Believe it or not, Matt, I don’t report back to my mother after every date,” Foggy replies, sounding like he’s very much resisting the urge to laugh. “Where on earth would you get the idea that I did?”
“I don’t know,” Matt sighs. “I’m being irrational, I understand.”
Foggy pats his hand where it’s resting on the table. “I’m disappointed too,” he says, gently.
Matt sighs again, even more dramatically. They’d had big plans to go out tonight, to finally take a night to themselves after cases had taken up most of their nights and weekends as well as their days. It wasn’t like they could afford to say no, not when people needed their help and when they needed to pay rent, so they’d been steadily working themselves down to nubs for the past few months. Tonight was meant to be a small reprieve, and Matt had learned enough to know he might not feel the need for it as much as Foggy claimed to but he did still need a break now and then, whether he could recognize it ahead of time or not.
Then, of course, a trial for one of their clients had gotten moved up, which meant they had to get all their prep done in a very small timeframe and their plans for a night off had dutifully been thrown over in favor of work once again. Hence the late dinner of whatever Foggy could find at the nearest bodega, because of course he was the one to remember, amidst the tidal wave of work, that they still needed to eat something, at least. Matt really doesn’t know how he managed to stay alive before Foggy—though, now that he thinks of it, “before Foggy” is such a distant time in the past for him at this point that he struggles to remember it at all. Which is its own kind of alarming.
“You’re not going to break up with me over this, right?” Matt asks, and again, it’s a real sign of growth that he can say it out loud at all, that he can even admit to needing the reassurance.
“God no,” Foggy says, rubbing Matt’s knuckles with his thumb. “First of all, this isn’t even a little bit your fault—”
“It was my idea to start the firm in the first place, though, so technically—”
“And secondly,” Foggy continues, ignoring him, “if I broke up with you, I’d never find someone else who would put up with this kind of thing on a regular basis. You’re the only person who understands. I got very lucky. Breaking up with you would be like hitting on a 17 in blackjack.”
“I don’t know anything about gambling, but I’m guessing that was very sweet.”
Foggy laughs. “It was, thank you for noticing. If we ever get a moment of peace in our lives, I’ll take you to Atlantic City and teach you everything you need to know about blackjack.”
“I have a set of Braille playing cards at home,” Matt says, feeling his face heat for no real reason. “I mean, just in the interest of setting more reasonable goals.”
“Yeah, you’re right. Getting as far away as New Jersey is pretty unrealistic, for us.”
“I appreciate that you want to take me away someplace nice, though.”
“Of course,” Foggy says. “Only the best for you.”
“Exotic vacations to New Jersey, fancy dinners from the freezer aisle, six dollar wine…” Matt muses. “Who says you can’t have it all?”
“You haven’t seen anything yet, baby,” Foggy quips. “If you think dinner for two in the office kitchenette is uninspiring, wait until you experience making love on the office couch!”
Matt wrinkles his nose, even as he feels himself blush. “Yeah, that’s going to take some convincing,” he says, though he doesn’t admit that it probably won’t amount to all that much. Foggy can talk him into almost anything, because a major component of being in love is being dangerously stupid for another person, he’s found.
“I think I’ll let the cheap wine do the talking for me on this one,” Foggy says, reaching across the table to top off Matt’s glass—or, well, paper cup. “Drink up!”
Matt does, and it’s a pleasant surprise when it turns out to be better and sweeter than he ever imagined. There’s probably a metaphor in there somewhere…
#HWS30days#I already skipped a day because of the brain bees#so I’m putting this out there even though it’s not really anything#the exercise is not meant to be all perfect polished work and that’s FINE#it just makes me want to chew on wires#anyway#homelywenchsociety#that’s my writing tag! don’t worry about it!#writing challenge#mattfoggy#daredevil#foggy nelson#matt murdock#ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh tagging things!!!!

October 2024 Reading Wrap-Up
The eight books of this month really made me experience the whole span of human emotion. And maybe a couple of the shrimp ones.
Religious Text
None applicable.
1/10 - Why Did They Publish This?
None applicable (thank the gods).
2/10 - Trash
Pure Magic: A Complete Course In Spellcasting | Judika Illes
The amount of times I screeched about citing sources or admitting that the author has none...I didn't get too far. The author was wholeass pulling things out of her ass. This is the epitome of bullshit "feminist" pseudohistory. I couldn't even get to the parts about occultism because the bullshit made me throw the book.
(Side note, I don't think it's very "feminist" to depict women of the past as having a beautiful matriarchal society and then having that taken over by men... Like girl, you are actively shitting upon those who came before you! You are downplaying their struggles and lying!!!)
3/10 - Meh
Horses And The Mystical Path: The Celtic Way Of Expanding The Human Soul | Adele Von Rust Mccormick, Ph.D., Marlena Deborah Mccormick, Ph.D., Thomas E Mccormick, M.D.
Here's the thing. Except for the emphasis on combining a whole bunch of cultures together as Celtic, this was just...not the book for me. I'm not Christian, I'm not struggling with finding my faith in any way, and while I like horses I don't care much for the approach. It was just...boring to me.
4 to 6/10 - Mid-Tier
The Husbands | Holly Gramazio
This was a decent book. It's about a husband-producing attic, and the main female character trying to find out what's going on. But it was very difficult to keep up with all of the characters (because their details often changed with each husband) and the female character got to the point where she was just regularly speedrunning husband options. It feels like this was a little too long for what it was. I probably would have enjoyed it more if it was a novella instead of a novel. But hey, it was a debut novel, and we always love to see more authors coming up and out.
7 to 8/10 - Good With Caveats
Mead Mishaps 2 and 3: That Time I Got Drunk And Yeeted A Love Potion At A Werewolf & That Time I Got Drunk And Saved A Human | Kimberly Lemming
I read and enjoyed book one in September, and book two was just as good and fun, with a mystery incel cult going on. Book three was a little less enjoyable than the first, because it felt like it was setting up for things that never came through, and there's only so much new stuff you can tread with the same approach of "male dragon and [redacted for spoilers] human woman". But it was still stupid and fun and very, very horny. And these ones put content warnings in the beginning, which is very nice!
Mothman: Behind The Red Eyes…The Complete Investigative Library | Jeff Wamsley
My overall feelings about this book is that it's fine, the author's interviewing skills suck shit. There are a lot of newspaper clippings and some of the formatting makes me want to chew rocks, but it's otherwise pretty good. We take a very interesting detour into aliens and the Men in Black. It's also important to note that this is apparently the second Mothman book he's written and he repeatedly references the first one, which I do not have, but it also kinda stands on its own.
It's funny because I did not buy this book. My stepdad's coworker heard my stepdad talking about hopes to eventually go to West Virginia to see the Mothman statue and just. Had the book. And gave it to my stepdad.
Honestly, what a fitting way to acquire such a book.
9/10 - Very Very Good
Providence Girls: A Sapphic Horror Romance | Morgan Dante
This book made me want to chew a hole through sheetrock. That is a compliment. DEFINITELY mind the content warnings. Spoilers coming up, but the spoilers aren't actually that surprising when you remember that this is a Lovecraftian lesbian romance.
So the framing of it is that it's letters between Lavinia Whateley and Asenath Waite. Lavinia escapes being sacrificed in Dunwich and runs until she winds up in East Providence, where Asenath finds her and takes her in. Asenath is slowly turning into a fish person because she's from the mess going on in Arkham and they live together and it's simultaneously an analysis of Lovecraftian horror, living in the 1930s, and sapphic romance. They're so freaking cute.
Lavinia's letters are framed as being post-Azzie's fishification while Azzie's are from before that, but the letters alternate to create a linear narrative despite this non-linear framing.
10/10 - Unironically Recommend To Everyone
Doing Justice: A Prosecutor's Thoughts On Crime, Punishment, And The Rule Of Law | Preet Bharara
If you've been paying attention to the most recent posts on this blog, you're not going to be surprised that I've been going insane over this book. Narrative nonfiction wasn't one that I thought I would enjoy, but now I know that I do. There was only one part that I had to skip, personally, because of the details discussed...but honestly, it was so good. I look forward to reading more of what this author writes.

Free day! - Blupjeans Week, day 6
My @blupjeansweek prompts are part of a story find the others here: Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | Part 4 | Part 5 or on Ao3
“So why haven’t you told her how you feel yet?”
Barry nearly dropped the milk he was trying to pull from the fridge. She couldn’t just say things like that, what if Lup heard? “Mummig!” He said indignantly, face hot with embarrassment. Apparently the robust walls he’d tried to build around his feelings for Lup were tissue paper levels of flimsy as far as Marlena was concerned. Of course he knew she’d see through him. She always saw through him. But he thought maybe he could get away with it for more than a minute, at least a day, but apparently not. “Ssssh. What if she hears you?”
“Shall we take our coffee out to the porch then?” Okay, so Barry had no stay of execution, they were definitely going to have to talk about this. Then Marlena smiled wide and soft. “It’s nice to have a cup waiting for me. Thank you Barry.”
There was no world in which he didn’t make the two cups. Lup wouldn’t be awake for hours yet, but in this house? Here the quiet mornings belonged to Barry and Marlena. Instead of his usual solo research hours, they’d take the coffee pot and sit on the porch. Usually they’d watch the deer, rock idly, talk about anything, everything, nothing; but apparently today, they were going to talk about Lup. Him and Lup. Specifically his feelings for Lup. While Lup slept upstairs in his bed. Great. Good. That was fine. Barry could do that.
Situated and settled, Marlena eased him in with stories of their neighbours - no one had changed, this place was constant. Barry wanted to believe it was constant anyway. It was good to know he could always come back and find it unchanged. “But that’s enough of that, I’m going to ask again, Barry. Why haven’t you told her yet?”
“I don’t know what you mean.” It wouldn’t work, of course it wouldn’t work, Marlena was magic, but that didn’t mean he couldn’t try.
She levelled him with a look that he’d always squirmed under. She saw through him, right past his meaty exterior to find bits of soul to read.. “Barry, beautiful, kind, intelligent son of mine. You have been in love with this wonderful woman since at least half way through your first degree. Sooner really, but I don’t think you knew it then. So why haven’t you told her yet?”
“I…” Barry started. Then promptly stopped. He didn’t know what to say.
“Don’t you think she deserves to know?” Marlena’s tone was light, gentle with a hint of concern. Barry didn’t want to cry, he didn’t need to cry. He could talk about this. He loved Lup, Lup didn’t love him, it was a fact of life, nothing to be upset about.
“She doesn’t feel the same.” He said quietly, quickly. He knew why he hadn’t told Lup, it was because he was a coward. If he didn’t say anything he couldn’t be rejected.
“Don’t you think she deserves to decide that, Barry, not you?” Marlena asked, head cocked curiously.
“I…” Barry petered out. There was a long pause.
“Do you trust Lup?” Marlena asked.
“Yes” Barry answered fast, he didn’t even need to think about it.
“Do you think she’d ever purposefully do anything to hurt you?”
“No.” He knew that was true as well.
“Well then, I won’t say anymore about it, but I want you to think on what I’ve said... Now, tell me again about what they asked in your viva?”
“I’ve already told you three times, Mummig, surely you’re bored of it by now?” Barry knew she didn’t understand most of it, but he also knew she’d listen to him explain it for hours if he wanted to.
“Never.” She laughed and shook her head. “How could I get bored of hearing you talk about something you love so much? My little boy, all grown up and doing ethical necromancy.” Marlena pretended to wipe away a tear.
“Fine, but you have to tell me about the field archery tournament next. I want to hear the story about the badger sculpture again.”
They refilled their mugs, rocked slowly, and talked away the first chill of morning.
– “Moooornnnnning.” Lup called through the porch door.
“Lup! Would you like to come join us, dear? Grab a mug from the kitchen, there’s still plenty of coffee in the pot, Barry hasn’t long topped it up.”
“I’d love to, anything you need while I’m there?”
The thing Barry loved about rituals is that they could be the same and new and different all at once. He’d sat on this porch a million times with Marlena, watched the dew on the grass steam and wisp to nothing and felt anchored here. Not by weight, but by wanting. When Lup joined them, shuffling Barry to the side so she can perch in the space beside him and throw her legs across his, it was different, but it was still all the things he loved. It was still home.
– Lup made lunch. She insisted that Marlena should ‘make the most of having a baller chef on staff for the week’ and cheerfully instructed Barry as her kitchen porter. Afterwards, full and appreciative, they all dozed as the television played nonsense in the background. Lup couldn’t be still for long though, and Barry could tell her limit was approaching as she tried unsuccessfully to subdue her need to fidget.
“Shall we go for a walk?” He asked the room.
Lup was out of her seat immediately and almost ran towards the front door. “Wanna show me the old den you built?” She asked, pulling on her boots. “I bet there’s still a bit of it there. If not, you can point out where everything was. It’d be fun to see Baby Barry engineering.”
“You two go ahead.” Marlena waved them off. “I’m going to stay here, big plans for dinner, but I’ll need to stay close to keep an eye on everything. Have a nice time, and don’t worry about rushing back.”
Barry laced his boots, opened the door, and waved. Marlena waved back, and waited until Lup turned away to give him an encouraging thumbs up. Barry suppressed a groan. He supposed she had only promised not to say anything more on the matter, gestures were fair game, but still.
They crunched across the short path to the woods and Lup idly hooked her pinky finger with his. “So, you know how your window’s over the porch?” She said, not breaking her stride, not looking anywhere but the path ahead as they entered the tree line.
Barry did, now that Lup mentioned it, know his window was over the porch. He was willing to bet Marlena knew that too. Was Lup mentioning it because she overheard or just for unrelated architecture based reasons? She hadn’t ever felt compelled to comment on window placement before though… Maybe if he just ran it wouldn’t be weird? He could hitchhike home, leave Lup the car, and by the time she got back to town she would have forgotten why she was angry with him. Although, actually, she didn’t sound angry, her voice wasn’t raised or at Lup’s scary quiet rage register either. “Uh… yeah.”
“Well, I woke up early today. Birds, you know. Noise is different in the countryside.” She squeezed his finger once, reassuringly. She was still here, grounding him, checking in with him.
Barry nodded. “Uh huh?”
Lup stopped and turned to face him. “I just want you to know, I trust you too, Bear, completely and utterly, and that means I trust you to tell me whenever you’re ready.”
Barry didn’t bother bluffing. He didn’t want to. Instead, he wrapped Lup in a hug. He wasn’t ready today, but soon. He’d tell her soon.

MOTU Headcanons question (spop, 200x, revelation if you'd like):
1. What does Queen Marlena miss the most from Earth?
2. What does she not miss from Earth/what does she like about Eternia?
3. What does she wish to show her family+in laws if they ever to visit Earth? (Places, things, foods, animals, etc.)
4. What are some Earth things that Marlena taught Adam and Adora? (Gesture, slang, traditions, etc.)
Sorry it's long
Thanks for the ask!!
Not long enough if you ask me.
1. I think she’d miss the simple things. On Earth she wasn’t royalty so she got to be a regular person and relax a lot more. She probably misses quiet days of not having to worry about attacks. (Probably also misses when she didn’t have to fight magic).
2. While she does miss not having to fight magic I think she's also entranced by everything on Eternia. Remember the first party Adora goes to in 2018 She Ra? That's Marlena's first week on Eternia.
3. She'd probably make a beeline for NASA. I can see Adam and Adora loving arcades while Teela and Catra love video games. She probably also takes them some well known places like New York, the Grand Canyon, etc. (Catra is beyond freaked out by the stray cats)
4. I think she tells them stories where they need background information to understand it. Like she tells the about one Halloween party, but ends up having to explain what Halloween is and how it works. (Adam knows one curse word and he learned it from one of his mom's Earth stories) (I think it's canon in the 80s universe that she taught them/Eternia about Christmas).

Writer Asks: 9, 23, 28, 30?
Thanks for the asks! From this ask game.
9. Who is your favorite OC?
Micah, the male MC of my YA thriller novel. I've talked about him previously!
23. Are you in any writer/artist groups? (Ex: discord server!)
I used to spend a lot of time on AbsoluteWrite, which in its day was a fantastic message board and the best tool I ever found for honing query letters (and I even posted a VERY early excerpt from Ch. 1 of GSNBTR there, long ago.) I also found some great beta readers there too for my YA novel. I don't know why I stopped frequenting it (probably politics, ugh).
I'm also on a number of writing-related subreddits, though I don't frequent those as much, especially with the latest unpleasantness...
When I lived in NYC, I was in an IRL writing group, made up of some of my post-MFA classmates. We used to meet once a month at my friend's townhouse in Brooklyn Heights and she would cook us a vegan dinner. (I'm not vegan but it was a free meal and I was broke because, y'know, MFA 😂...) Then some of us would go drink at a nearby Irish pub afterward (I was never too broke for alcohol...). Wow, that brought back a lot of memories...
I tried to join a whump-related discord server but it was the single most confusing area of the internet I have ever come across, and I gave up. I am on a few other discord servers for, uh, things.😅
28. Favourite songs at the moment?
Off the top of my head: 3 Marlenas by The Wallflowers, Empty Hearted Town by Warren Zevon, Pearly Dewdrops' Drops by Cocteau Twins, California Bloodlines by John Stewart.
30. How are you doing?
For the most part, I'm doing good! There are always areas I'd like to improve, but compared to where I have been in the past few years, it's like night and day. I'm being somewhat productive at work, my medication is allowing me to function like a semi-normal person, I've been keeping away from triggers, and I have things in my life I'm passionate about and looking forward to. How are you doing?🩷

⭐️⭐️⭐️ pls give us the Secret Chrysalis Lore!!
Auuuuughhhhh <3 Thank you Vodka I am not worthy! Here's a few certified Lottie Facts! -Lottie's middle name is Marlena! Oh, what's that? That means her first and last name could be said to translate to "free woman/rebel?" Huh gosh that's an odd coincidence. -It's not and will likely never be expressly stated in the fic but she has asthma. I figured being born into a world largely populated by uhhh factory and cigar fumes would probably have SOME effect on the poor thing, and I am always always always here for chronic illness rep. Her moldy-ness prevents it from becoming lethal or too debilitating but it's still apparent if she overexerts herself or becomes too emotional. It's actually a huge reason Mirander has decided she's an unfit vessel..... for now. -Lottie's favorite factory rat, Pinky, was born during an Ark: Survival Evolved session with some of my friends! In the game there are these horrible giant naked mole rats (called roll rats) that you can outfit in these deranged cage-like saddles so they can roll around and cause destruction with you safely encased inside. I immediately knew it was a creature that Lottie would love, so I tamed one and frantically googled stupid German words that might work for a name. Wildpinkler - a word meaning 'someoen who pees outside' - came up, and given that he was also pink, Pinky was born.

I'll ask 2 & 13 & 17 😊😊😊
Thanks for asking me Marlena <3
2. Who is your favourite fictional character and why?
Oh God. This is a very hard question. I have so many fictional characters I adore. But the one that popped into my mind is Samwise Gamgee from LOTR. He is just the sweetest, kindest, bravest Hobbit and Frodo wouldn't have gotten far without Sam. I'm tearing up just thinking about him to be honest.
13. Which season do you feel at home in?
Summer, definitely. I love sunshine and green trees and grass beneath my bare feet. I love to take a dip in the ocean on days when it's so hot I want to peel my skin off, I love sitting on my balcony in the evenings with a glass of rosé, watching the sun almost not set before rising again. I love the carefree feeling that settles in my body in summer, like anything is possible. Ah, I wish summer would arrive sooner!!!!
17. Who is your favourite author?
This is another really hard one. I've been thinking about this ever since I got the ask, one of the reasons my reply is so late, but I still haven't come up with a name. Instead I've realized that I don't think I have one. Which shocked me a bit, because such a big part of my life is reading and I was so sure I had a favorite before I actually thought about it. There are so many authors I adore and admire and they all have their unique languages and move me in their own special ways and I can't possible say one is better than the other or that I like one of them more. All the authors whose works have been able to move me in some way are my favorites. And there are tons of them. Sorry if that's a lame answer...
