this is a full ensemble cast AU baybee!! everyone's in it!!!!! the art is biased towards zosan because i myself am biased :^) but to give a very brief rundown: luffy's the owner of thousand sunny tattoo & piercing and the IRS would have his head on a pike if nami didn't have her shit together

everything luffy does is completely off the cuff, vibrantly colorful, extremely dynamic, zero guarantee that you'll get what you ask for bc he decides what he wants to do on a whim. his booking list goes like, almost two years out.

zoro's style is predominantly traditional japanese, will sometimes do reproductions of woodblock prints; very seldom goes back to traditional mediums but does so occasionally (this is a backstory to be unlocked)

nami is their piercer! she also has a backstory to be unlocked! she handles their licensing, inspections, and finances. they would all be dead without her.

usopp has a background in illustration (for children's books!) and loves to do both fun, imaginative, whimsical art and technical illustrations of plants

sanji does american traditional with unusual motifs (often food), still takes shifts at the baratie every so often, zeff has his paintings hung up, sanji finds this soooo embarrassing (endearing)

chopper is slowly working his way up to apprenticeship, was going to go into medical illustration And Then He Met Luffy

robin does extremely detailed and highly technical (body) horror

franky does sickass biomechanical type stuff

this is a direct quote from giffy because it's so fucking funny i can't bring myself to summarize it: "brook was a big name in the 80's and then luffy met him at like. a denny's parking lot and was like hey!! want a job. the denny's is run by moria, it's the closest place to undeath i can imagine"

jinbei does really bold, intricate geometric blackwork, guested a couple of times, and then luffy sniped him for permanents from big mom's for-profit college scam

i'll be real with you i am SO BAD at coming up with tattoos for characters but i think sanji would have something to do with different cuts of meat in some way tbh. the minute i posted this blue hit me with "okay please tell me sanji has a mermaid tattoo somewhere" and my jaw dropped bc i didn't think of that myself but it's absolutely correct, he does (either on the side of his ribs or on a thigh, idk). also glad you brought up the Tiddy Tattoos because now i get to make another bullet point explanation!

luffy has given everyone on the crew a tattoo over their heart (or like, as close as possible if they already had something there)

zoro was first, so his is the simplest: an anchor, for steadiness

sanji's is a reflection of where luffy met him: the way the baratie feels like for luffy via synesthesia, lots of colors and waves and love, very abstract yet vivid

zoro and sanji exchanged those right about when they both realized they're in it for the long haul re: luffy and originally it was just an acknowledgment of what each of them means to luffy

the italicized oh moment came later. everyone else continues to find this immeasurably funny.

(usopp's is the shape of his kabuto with a bright burst of vivid green in the middle)

(chopper's is a caduceus staff with the wings bursting outwards in a spray of color, the edges fading out to cherry blossoms)

having a friend in common with the guy you weren't quite dating yet is certainly an experience. you think if it was anyone other than felix, you might not get the messages that he sends you whenever you're messaging changbin... but you always end up knowing when they're hanging out. every time, without fail, he sends you a picture of changbin smiling hard at his phone with a follow-up text of "ur texting him again aren't you."

so when your phone dings with yet another message while you're expecting a response from changbin... it's no surprise when it's felix. except this time it's more than a picture: it's a short video.

'realized you were texting him and decided to record so you know what he does. :)'

truly, he is a slight menace. your last text to changbin had been something along the lines of 'okay, call me when you get home, cutie <3' after the two of you had been flirting a little only for him to he announce that he was out with his friends (a subtle 'can we talk later?' in binnie-speak, in your opinion). you tap the video, watching as he's listening to some guy (chris, you think: you haven't met many of changbin's friends yet) talk about something that happened at work. his phone dings, and changbin picks it up. he looks down at it, and he can't fight his smile as he immediately tries to hide it behind his wrist, eyes darting away. you can see how they light up, though, with pure joy at your message.

the guy you think is chris lets out a groan, followed by a "dude!" before changbin's waving his hand and saying the two of you were done: he'd call you when he got home.

felix texts you a second later: if we were at his place, he'd be giggling and kicking his feet btw. i'll get a vid next time he does it :).

... maybe you'll ask him to meet up with you instead. you'd rather see the cute look on his face when you ask him to be your boyfriend if this is how he respects to your texts.

you sent back a saluting emoji to felix with a thank u for ur service, king, please get a pic of him after this next text and a comment that you might ask him to go official tonight.

(and minutes after you send a 'can we meet up instead? i wanna ask you something, cutie <3' you're greeted with another video of changbin absolutely losing his mind with questions about what you want. the camera flips back to felix's face at the last second, smiling with that knowing look as changbin's still rambling in the background.)

THANK YOU!!!! 👁👃👁 diversifying my noses was actually one of the first things i really made a point of focusing on when i first started posting art here on tumblr on my old blog back in 2011. pretty much all my big fandoms at the time were dominated by very anime-styled art across the site, and i was very frustrated with the same face syndrome. big noses and square jaws were something of an endangered species in a lot of fanart... and in some ways they still are. i was motivated partly by seeing an opportunity to stand out, and partly by pure spite, but drawing bold-looking faces has become a genuine pleasure and passion for me in the years since.

i actually picked up my current style of noses while doing an art meme of all things, way back when i still had short hair. i drew this self portrait in the style of the tf2 comics, and instantly i was like, "YOINK! this is mine now!!" it's since morphed into my own distinct thing... good artists copy, great artists steal.

whether or not my noses are Objectively Good, i do have a lot of fun with them and I enjoy seeing how they affect the rest of the face. and really that's all anyone can hope for with their own style...

Unfortunately, I've never found it streaming anywhere. As far as I know, there are only three ways to watch it:

1) if you happen to find it on DVD somewhere (unlikely, as you've said, and generally costly).

2) most-though-not-all of the episodes are on YouTube, so they'll come up if you search for a specific episode. However, those are modified so that YouTube won't kick them for copyright issues, so the sound quality isn't great and the picture is only a small square in one corner of the screen. Which all leads to...

3) you could *cough cough* sail the seven seas! Not that I endorse piracy, of course. I certainly don't endorse free and relatively-safe sites like gomovies.sx where you can find pretty much anything you might want or need that big streaming services refuse to allow people access to. 👍
