A while ago me and @crypticscarecrow were up chatting about Caine and one thing lead to an AU where something happens that makes the humans of TADC have to leave the circus, the circus itself breaking and Noah disappearing from existence, leaving Caine alone in the void with no one except the ruins of his circus ...

Safe to safe it's a fun AU to develop :3

Edit: A reminder this originally is @snowthedemonfox's idea from the start, and it's basically both something me and her created or collaborated on. Please credit her too~ @snowthedemonfox has been infecting me with tadc ideas for the last few weeks aand I ended up making a comic out of one of the scenarios. A lot of back and forth ideas we shook around regarding Jax as an actual bunny.

Interesting

For me, the fact that the Amazing Digital Circus opted to give Kinger and "Queener" matching avatars implies A LOT, especially if we follow the belief that the avatars act as psychological reflections. Here's my own take:

Studies have found that long-married couples will effectively share a single mind between them. Their brains outsource specific mental and emotional tasks to one another, such as memory, communication, or certain types of problem-solving. This causes the death of a long-married spouse to effectively rob the living partner of half their mental faculties. And due to how our brains decrease in neuroplasticity as we grow older, a long-married mind isn't really capable of re-learning its lost functions.

Kinger's current mental state very much resembles someone trying to function without their other half. There's memory problems, multiple occasions where he has to rely on Gangle or Zooble to point something obvious out to him, and a clear emotional instability.

Day 6

I finally figured out how to draw everyone, so I did a few doodles of them! Might color this one sometime but I still wanted to post it like it is rn.

Gotta say, once you get the hang of it, everyone is so much fun to draw! I genuinely couldn't tell you my favorite to draw if you were to ask me.

Guys I had a vision

I really wanna draw more of this bc I have some ideas of Ragatha and Jax interacting with these strange versions of themselves. More specifically Ragatha. How would a nice, considerate, people pleasing doll interact with a mean, brutally honest, and better(?) version of herself? Jax, who’s someone who possibly sees past the “nice doll” act Ragatha puts up ESPECIALLY after being told by the doll herself that she actually hates him would probably be intrigued with this “other” Ragatha. But how would he react to the “other” Jax who seems a little too interested staring at our girl Ragatha?

Feel free to leave your opinions! What do you think is gonna happen?

Listen. if the massive resolution to Kingers arc is that he and Queenie were supervising the development of the project and the reason they sleep outside their room is because it’s the real exit/has the key to it, and after she abstracted and he went spiraling into grief he refused to go back without her and eventually forgot how to unlock said exit, leading him to actually put effort into pulling himself out of his spiral in the last two episodes for the sake of saving everyone before the program collapses due to Caines destabilization (he is not a finished product, surely) and either willingly abstract so he can hold Queenie during their final moments/finally let Queenie go by leaving her and the other abstractions behind…
