So I’ve seen a few that revolve around body swaps so angst idea…

Danny has been held captive in GIW compound for a while and is kinda losing hope a bit. He comes back after a brutal experiment and is just laying in his cell talking to the other ghosts in the cells around him to keep his mind off the blood slowly leaving his body. Starts talking about his life before the Fentons, his Mother and brother and the League. He makes the off handed comment of “you know I really miss my twin, I wish I could see him one last time” and of course Desiree a few cells down hears this wish and thinks, well this is a great way to get out of here if I spin this right. She snaps her fingers and Danny blinks.

Next thing he knows he’s sitting at a dining table with a nice half-eaten meal in front of him. The fork clatters on the table as he drops it. The rest of the table looks at him.

“What?” He tries to process what is happening.

“Damian?”

Holy shit, is that Father? Wait- Did he just say Damian? Danny lunges toward the closest reflective surface he sees, a serving plate, and tosses food across the table as he lifts it to see his reflection. Yep, that’s Damian’s face last time he remembered.

“What is your problem, Demon Brat?” A guy a little older shouts.

“Fuck.” The whole table freezes and stares at him with wide eyes. He doesn’t even care as the panic sets in. “Fuck, shit, fuck, motherfucking, oh my- FUCK!”

The server makes an awful sound as it drops back to the table.

“No. No no no no- fuck! This wasn’t supposed to happen. This isn’t what I wanted.”

“…What’s happened?” Father asks slowly, obviously noticing that he isn’t Damian.

Danny zeroes in on him, eyes wide with panic. His hand shoots out to grab Bruce Wayne’s shirt in urgency. The rest of the table react in defense until Bruce raises a hand to stop them.

“Father, we need to save Damian. Desiree fucked with my wish and switched our bodies. We have to go.”

The man stares back with confusion and contemplation.

“Who is Desiree?”

“She’s a genie. She was captured, same as me. She has to grant any wish she hears, but Damian doesn’t know that. We need to go rescue him and make Desiree change us back.”

“Who are you?”

Danny huffs because they were wasting time with all these questions. Damian is surely hurting in Danny’s body.

“Danny. Formally Danyal Al Ghul. Damian’s twin brother. And he’s probably in a lot of pain right now so if we could go that would be great.”

There is a stunned silent until Danny starts pulling on Father’s arm to stand and get moving.

“Like now.”

Emmet month day 19 17 - au/crossover

Yeah, I know today is the 19th, but I wanted to draw something for both Emmet and to celebrate Miles Edgeworth getting his games ported to the Switch! And while drawing and coloring this, I realized just how similar Emmet and Edgeworth look with their gray hair and gray eyes. So I thought I'd swap their fanciest outfits (though for Edgeworth, that's just what he wears).

I was looking through Spring Creek's fowl collection and am in love with the Peaches. Is there anything you can share about them? Are they like the white ones where the ladies arent impressed, or do they have the more usual luck

The peach don't seem to have a problem breeding!

Peach is actually (genetically speaking) one of the coolest color mutations out there. It's a sex-linked recessive, but it's NOT a single-factor mutation like any of the others. It's a combination of Cameo and Purple.

So the thing you have to understand is that the sex-linked mutations are all on the Z chromosome. Males have 2 Zs and females have 1 Z. To show a sex-linked recessive color in the phenotype, "All" Zs must have the mutation. A peach bird has 2 copies of the purple mutation, and 2 copies of the cameo mutation.

In autosomal mutations, this isn't a huge deal. If something has 2 different mutations, then they're just on different chromosomes. But.... cameo and purple are both on the Z. You can't move them from one Z to the other normally.

So if you have a male that's purple (Z^pl/Z^pl) and you breed him to a cameo hen (Z^c/w), the daughters get a Z from dad (Z^pl) and their w has to come from mom. So they're purple. The sons get a Z from dad (Z^pl) and a Z from mom (Z^c), making them wild type heterozygous for purple and heterozygous for cameo. The same is true if the parents are switched. You can only ever make single-color hens and wild type het males.

So what gives?

Chromosomal crossover!

During meiosis back about 20 years, a cameo or a purple moved to the opposite Z while the chromosomes were swapping tails, and a pair of purple/cameo birds produced a few birds that didn't look cameo or purple, and blue birds that carried the double-gened chromosome.

A few years after that, a group of pure cameos also produced peach- it's likely in this case that purple spontaneously mutated in this group. Purple has already mutated at least twice that we know of (purple and European violet are both "purple" by genes, but with very different phenotypes), and probably mutates more often than we think, given that it's most likely a simple dilute, like chocolate in mice.

Now, we have Z chromosomes that have both cameo and purple on them (Z^plc), which makes for a Peach bird. The two genes cannot be separated on purpose, but through the same process that put them together, may be undone back to separate chromosomes, or removed entirely. At Bill's, he has a blue bird who came from purple parents (at least according to records), which suggests that the more likely candidate for the gene that translocates easiest is purple.

It does make me wonder if EV is the result of something similar; of a chromosome that perhaps got More Purple added through crossover. I don't have the records to be able to tell for sure, and haven't been able to trace origins enough to find out how it started.

Some people is saying that maybe 704 and 705 got switched one for another… wouldn’t that be weird in terms of continuity? What do you think?

They've done it before without continuity issues, but it's highly unlikely to be that case for this situation because of it being the 100th episode and them talking about it being a character heavy storylines.

When they did it in the past, it was 5x06 and 5x07 being switched. With 5x06 being Brawl in Cell Block 9-1-1, where it's focused on one event and has some character stuff for Eddie (and a bit Hen and Buck) but it doesn't come up again until later and Eddie's not in 5x07 so it doesn't directly impact.

Coming off the cruise and going into ep 100, it's less likely to be able to just flip the episodes. A call can be swapped out easily, though, especially a call like this where they're gonna be focused on this crossover and doing something fun rather than adding in character stuff to it.

A fic I would absolutely die to read is a crossover between Ironman and Batman but instead of the kind of crossover where they exist in the same universe I wanna see Tony Stark and Bruce Wayne switch places and wake up in each others place (not in a body swap way btw) but the kicker is that they both think they’re being pranked for some stupid reality tv thing and the reason they both come to that conclusion before any other is because in Bruce’s dimension, Iron man is a fictional hero from comic books and in Tony’s dimension Batman is a fictional hero from comic books.

And naturally when they introduce themselves to one another’s team / family, no one believes a single word coming out of their mouths after they say their names.

Ofc for Tony, the batfam and Justice league obviously pick up on the fact that there is a literal glowing hole in his chest keeping him alive and that does in fact serve as rather convincing evidence.

Mal so imagine the paranoid panic that would overtake Bruce if he realized everyone in this universe knew he was Batman (he doesn’t even give af about the existential crisis until like way later I imagine)

Slowly rotating combining my cryptid omegaverse Gotham (where they can swap and switch between secondary sexes and if you stay in Gotham long enough your scent starts to disappear as well) and my Dragon Curse Gotham (Originally a DP crossover but probably wouldn't for the main AU) prompts. Into its own Au.

Where Gotham can change into dragons, and it's like the One thing they all keep secret from Outsiders. Everyone has three forms depending on the secondary sex they are at the time, while children have a form similar to a parent just, more stone-colored for camouflage. If that makes sense.

So normally I'd make world-building from scratch but I'm not drawing dragons from scratch for this. Like three for each character ever? Ehhh, sorry not happening lol. So I'll probably use Flight Rising or something similar to come up with things to base their dragon forms off of.

Anyway if you're here, hope you don't mind ramblings lol.

Everyone in the world is either Alpha/Beta/Omega/Delta but Gotham is cryptid-like in that they can change their secondary sex at will

The longer ones family has been in Gotham the quicker while newcomers might take months for a single shift 

Newcomers’ scents will also begin to disappear like a delta’s but continue to have a 2nd sex

Secondary sexes are a mixture of body parts, scents, and aura, almost akin to psychic bubbles around someone that shows mood and other information 

Most second-sex puberties come in around the age of twelve, though the semi-sexual half doesn’t come in until the age of seventeen on average 

It’s a well-kept secret of Gotham having a more benevolent curse of people becoming dragons

The form is influenced by whatever secondary gender they are at the time

Unless they are children in which case their form is similar to whatever their parents’ might be, but a solid gray-black color that camouflages with the Gotham streets 

Gotham also has several animals & plants similarly mutated well, everything

Reality warping is also canonically an issue with an entire street disappearing every week & gravity around certain places being odd on certain days

So if You're a Gothamite you get to have a third dragon puberty where you start getting your adult forms and colors and all that stuff

Deltas are: People with no secondary sex, usually due to a medical condition that is usually hereditary, but can also happen from large damage to glands as a young child before presentation Unless you are a Gothamite, as every person who stays there for extended periods of time becomes scentless or a combination of scents/auras even if they’re another sex Children are sometimes wrongly referred to as Deltas even though the proper term is Unpresented 

So in other words, Gotham is Really Fucking Weird to the rest of the world. Some people might and probably would use it to transition though, also helped by the fact that there's so many scholarships in Gotham. I mean, look at how many of the rogues have PHDs.

Now the Delta thing is semi-important because for example Clark, as an alien, doesn't have a scent. Which mean he's very much Noticed the first time he's sent by Perry to Gotham. He's kind of confused as to why he's so welcomed compared to all the other Daily Planet reporters, but he's not complaining. And it gives him an excuse for his scent, as it is known that Gotham is in fact Like That when it comes to scent disappearing and other such things.
