JOYRIDE was initially heralded by the first single and title track, “Joyride.” Equal parts thick bass, ethereal synths, disco-funk guitar, and silky, inviting vocals, the track – which features signature lead guitar from JOYRIDE co-producer Trey Anastasio – expertly captures Rykman’s jubilant brand of sonic exploration, bridging an array of genres to arrive at her own compelling and original take on psychedelic indie rock. Blame COVID-19: Coachella, Stagecoach Festivals Postponed Again

Coachella and Stagecoach, both slated for April, are off.

Blame the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Riverside County Public Health Officer Dr. Cameron Kaiser “signed a public health order canceling Coachella Valley Music and Arts (and) Stagecoach Country Music festivals planned for April 2021,” read a tweet from local public health officials.

“We look forward to when the events may return.”

Neither festival has commented.

Both gatherings had already been moved from April to October 2020, then to April 2021. There’s no word on whether festival organizers will attempt to stage the events in the fall.

Other 2021 events scrubbed due to COVID-19 include Colorado’s snoe.down, Atlanta’s SweetWater 420 and the U.K.’s Glastonbury festivals.

SweetWater 420 Strain G13 IPA (Picked up at Corner Market in Hattiesburg, MS). A 4 of 4. Massive marijuana nose on this with a lot of bright related notes, including some background pine and citrus. Incredibly aggressive nose that is slightly more subdued in the body, but still quite present. Relatively astringent body with some tea-like notes and some background caramel malt sweetness to balance. Nice dry and bitter finish, and the hop profile on this is pretty great.
