Just read Sakamoto Days
I was baited into reading it by these pages and I will use them to bait all of you too.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Simply put, due to some unforeseen situation, the retired assassin now has to defend his new home when assassins from his past come back to his life.
If you're into action movies, you will see a lot of familiar tropes related to many of well-known ones, sometimes even homages level. For example John Wick, Wanted and kaiju battle series like Ultraman.
It's very fun and the epitome of "Don't think too hard about it." Very much a popcorn entertainment.
Love many of the settings of the fights. I'm always a sucker for a fight scene that goes in a funky weird place, and this series gives me that multiple times. For example, a roller coaster, a haunted house and a hallway in a temple.
I love the artstyle so much. I'm not familiar with Suzuki-sensei's previous works, but I can guess from the get go that this is not his first manga. I feel like there are panels that GO HARD in every like 3 chapters or so.
The character are so colorful and unique. Just experience it yourself.
*sobs* FOUND FAMILY :''''' I love the Sakamoto family so much. Like the family is now the actual Sakamoto family, several former assasins and underworld figures, an assassin-in-training, and sometimes visited by an actual active assassin.
My favorite character is Shin. Dude is basically like Taro's clingy younger brother while later he himself meets teen boys who become like clingy younger brothers to him. I like that he thinks hard between his mindest of "idolizing Taro" and his desire of "being dependable for Taro." Because idolizing someone means admitting you're behind them, and if not careful, that will lead you being blind and dependent on your idol under impression that you're inferior and they are superior so they can do it themselves one way or another.
I feel like in later arcs, Lu is underutilized.... I know she is not as battle-prominent as the other guys but it has always been fun to see her fight.
Taro the Goat. Also him being head over heels and scared shitless of making his wife Aoi will never get old. That's being married for love, indeed. Same thing with his adoration and protectiveness over his daughter Hana, which can translate into fighting one war to protect her safety and another to get her a limited brand item.
TL;DR This is what could have happened if John Wick's wife didn't die.

Starshine Hoshino continues his epic saga!
And after that... from what I've heard, a somewhat uncomfortable clingy childhood friend story. My favoriiiiiite..
(Oh and also further information we learn about the Dark Sisters and what is in the big scary hole in the Ouroboros Realm I guess)
Spoilers, I guess...
-Spoooooooooky ghoooooooooooosts~! And our only help is Kajiki and fucking Jugglus Juggler.
-"Does anybody here hate the chief? :<" isn't a question you should ask over the chief's body, I feel.
Kajiki: "Among us..." Rinne: "Dude, he's not-" Kajiki: "AMOGUS-!"
-Huh
-"Burn the wizard! Burn him!"
-"No fightiiiiiiiiiiiiiiing~!"
-Kamen Rider Gotchard taught us that humans were the real monsters.
-...how many people have made that joke?
-Rinne...
-Renge-san...
-Spooky little ghoast~!
-Nana...
-I
-What is that pose, who decided that
-Oh, Nana knows something, don't she?
-Imagine telling your friends that you were stuck posing with Takaya Aoyagi for a bit.
-Hello, Atropos~!
-What do you think about, Rinne-chan?
-"You suck. :<"
-Oh Christ, the fox.
-Oh, Appareskebow! Haven't seen that one in a while.
-The shrine...
-Watch out for snakes wha-
-That was a long shot
-Hello, Nana
-A whole other level of Malgam, perhaps?
-Man, Hotaro's really mixing it up today.
-Exorcise them!!!
-YOOOOOO RENGEEEEE
-Cosmic Chemies united! Light the darkness and strike at evil~!
-Okay, sure Mr. Ninetails.
-Welcome home.
-T
-The kitsune...
-Onsen!!!!
-Huh...
-Guess our troubles are over?
-Kitsune-sama...
-Think I've had enough of god foxes for a while.
-Occult Detectives.....
-Mr. Hoshino...
-"He's gonna go crazy... :<"
-YEAAAAAAH

-Tsukumo Sana- Er, Tsukumo Seina.
-Ohhhh, wait! That's Kanon Matsuzawa! She played Shiro Ogami in Revue Starlight and the Water Rail Orphenoch in the new Faiz movie.
-"Oh no, you two know each other?"
-"F-Fate?????"
-Good for you, Kajiki :)
-Already muscling in, eh Seina?
-Even Geryon's creepy homunculi feel sorrow.

-SONOZA?????? KIJINO./???????
-Oh, it's Shinnosuke Takahashi and Hirofumi Suzuki playing themselves, I see
-HOW DID I NOT HEAR ABOUT THIS LAST WEEK????
-Comedy...
-Ahhhhh, I see... putting the surprise cameo that wasn't in last episode's trailer contrasts super heavily with the dire state of the drama club.
-Romeo and Juliet. Forty thousand men and women everyday.
-To find that Gotcha...
-"I'm not a leading man, but... Okay!"
-We studied Romeo and Juliet extensively in one of our lit classes. I was Mercutio.
-Crosscasting, Hotaro! You've got a lot to learn, son.
-Hi Minato-sensei.
-Lachesis...
-Oh hi Clotho~!
-Little sisters got conflict.
-Going all out right away, huh lady?
-I see... Clotho's championing the form as all powerful, and yet even as a being made out of Geryon's alchemy strong enough to fight Gotchard even untransformed, she can't handle Dread at maximum power.
-"You're really hurting my feelings, Spanner... :\"
-Romeo and Juliet...
-Ten seconds and you cry.
-Hello, Seina-chan~!
-Y-You remember that too, huh?
-He's 1% of a man and she's 99% likely to have Chemy Trouble! Rinne-chan don't stand a chance~!
-Okaaaaay, I'm gonna have to ask you to tone it down a bit Missy.
-Kudo...
-THEY ATE HIM
-A bond of brotherhood reinforced by malice.
-"Uhhhhh..."
-"Still the same lonely little girl you always are."
-Rinne????
-Just like that, eh? How about that?
-She was frozen today!
-I know Rinne's a teenager, and I realize that her relationship with Hotaro is integral to the story, but like...
-Man, idk, there's gotta be some smoother way to go about this.
-"I done fucked up."
-"I'm going to kill your ass. For my Dad!"
-Okay, I see what they're going for now
-It's all these different elements coming together to cause a reaction.
-Since I'm here, I guess I'll keep going
-"She's dead, Rinne."
-Believe, Kudoh!
-MoonCerberus, yay~!
-One fast doggy
-Be thawed, girly!
-Welcome home, Blizzammoth~!
-Yippee~!
-Kyoka-san...
-Yeah, who is that guy?
-Meikoku no Ou...
-"Hi Dad :)"
-"Do it. End them. Kill them all, my dear daughter! Oooooh~!"
-Ah, yep, Romeo's murder of Tybalt. Guess they are being thorough.
-Tsukumo, c'mon girl
-Hero?
-Ah....
-I suppose it's quite serendipitous that the Alchemist Association didn't accidentally wipe those memories too.
-New Malgam dropped
-Hello again, Spanner~!
-He got Splatooned
-Awwww, Spanner...
-Kamen Riders, yes~!
-To hell, children~!
-These're some fun camera and editing tricks here
-Rinne...
-"You did it, moron~! You killed your friend~!"
-OH????
-A trick~!
-Exgotchalibur~!
-Oh yeah, solar eclipse. We had one of those.
-I didn't get to see it, I lived too far away.
-What's Your Fire, once more~!
-Hoooooo! Heat!
-This is how Romeo and Juliet ended, right?
-Ma
-Mackraken.....
-"Yeah sorry I can't watch this anymore."
-We saved~!
-Drama Club is saved forever~!
-"Go away."
-"Moooooom, c'mon! I made that! What an unfunny joke!"
-Keeping her creepy sadism on our side is good.
-OH HELLO?????

Tsurune Archery Classroom
Tumblr media
So KyoAni has posted a Q&A with trivia about Japanese archery to the official Twitter account of the Tsurune anime in order to promote the movie, and I took the liberty to translate it. Please feel free to message me about possible corrections.
Q.: What is “tsurune”?
Narumiya Minato (CV. Uemura Yuuto): It’s the sound that the string makes as it hits the bow when an arrow is released. Even if it’s the same person shooting, the sound changes depending on their feelings and the situation at hand. The more skilled a person is, the cooler a sound they can produce.
Q.: What’s “target panic”?
Takehaya Seiya (CV. Ichikawa Aoi): Also called “archer’s disorder”, it’s the tendency of one’s hand to release the arrow on its own by accident when they’re holding the bow into position. It’s quite a problematic habit, and in Minato’s case… well, in the end, he has no choice but to fix it himself, so there’s nothing I can say to support him.
Q.: Is it best if the arrow hits the center of the target?
Yamanouchi Ryouhei (CV. Suzuki Ryouta): Even if it’s not in the center of the target, once it hits, you get a point! But it’s because the shooting posture is disturbed that it won’t hit the center, so it’s said that you can’t consider it a “good shot” just for hitting the target. There’s a lot to Japanese archery~!
Q.: How far is the target positioned?
Kisaragi Nanao (CV. Yano Shougo): 28 meters for close-distance targets! As for the reason behind such an odd number, it’s said that, in the past, back when bows were used as weapons, this would’ve been the distance between your party and the enemy party. Well, the theories vary, though!
Q.: What are you forbidden to do in an archery dojo?
Onogi Kaito (CV. Ishikawa Kaito): An archery dojo is a place for “training”. There’s lots of rules and detailed etiquette in order to maintain safety. For example, it’s outrageous to enter with shoes on!
Q.: What’s the “Shahou Hassetsu”?
Takigawa Masaki (CV. Asanuma Shintarou): Hard to explain what it is in one sentence, but well, I guess one should keep in mind, first of all, that it refers to the sequence of movements we have to perform from the moment we position our bows till we release the arrows. That’s the foundation of Japanese archery, which was created and polished by our predecessors, so it’s the most important of all.
Q.: Are the arrows different for each person?
Minato: People pick their archery equipment in accordance to their height, physique and skill. I use aluminum arrows but Masa-san uses bamboo arrows. There are many other types of arrows, even ones with actual black eager feathers on them.
Q.: What’s a “team competition”?
Seiya: It’s a match where a certain number of people lines up and draws the bow to compete against the same number of people.
For five-people teams, we call the first person the “oomae”, the second, “niteki”, the third, “naka”, the fourth, “yonteki” and the last, “ochi”. The names differ depending on the place and school, though.
Each of us has a role, so we do our best together in aiming for the best shots.
Q.: What are the “ranks” and “dan” titles of Japanese archery?
Fujiwara Shuu (CV. Ono Kenshou): I guess they’re something like a classification of the abilities related to Japanese archery that you can get through an examination. There are three titles - Renshi, Kyoushi and Hanshi - and mine and Minato’s mentor, Saionji-sensei, holds the title of “seventh-dan Kyoushi”.
Q.: What’s “Princess Cheer”?
Sase Daigo (CV. Miyazaki Yuu): It’s a very popular five-people idol group! Above all, the center, Noririn, has an exceptional sense for everything, like dancing, singing and talking, so she’s been shining ever since her debut - actually, she’s been shining even back when she was an indie artist and lighting up the way for me… She’s a very popular idol but only with the people who know about her at the moment, yet there’s something to keep an eye for in the way she improves her skills without sparing any efforts and I’ve been encouraged by that many times, so I don’t know how many times I’ve thought things like “I’m glad I met Noririn” or “I’m glad Noririn decided to become an idol”! No matter how many hundreds of people she shakes hands with at meet-and-greets, she never shows any signs of being tired, and even if you go back into the line over and over again, Noririn welcomes you with her smile unchanged!!!!
Q.: How do you cheer during a match?
Nanao: If it’s baseball, people will shout things like, “Go for it!”, but in Japanese archery, cheering aloud is generally not good. Archery matches aren’t just about winning or losing, that’s why. When you hit the target, the people sitting on the stands will say, “Good one!”. Unique, ain’t it?
Q.: What’s a “kaichuu”?
Minato: It’s when all of your arrows hit the target. It’s not an easy feat to pull, so when someone manages to achieve a kaichuu, the viewers will show respect by applauding them.
Q.: What does “shoot correctly, hit correctly” mean?
Masaki: That’s a difficult question. It means that “a correct shot is sure to hit the target”, but it’s not as easy as it sounds. It’s a story with no end, which begins when you mature as an archer and perform “correct shooting” for the first time.
Well, that’s what mastering archery is about. We’ve got no choice but to keep studying hard every day, so let’s do our best, yeah?

DCMK Couples and Seasons (and what kind of wedding I think they’d have)
I always associate the main DCMK couples with seasons for some reason.
Shinichi x Ran: Spring. Pretty obvious what with the sakura motif, and sakura literally being the reason they met. However, since they are the main couple of Gosho-sensei’s longest running manga, they’re associated with pretty much any season. If I knew how to do edits, I’d probably do one of ShinRan throughout the seasons and years (spring for their first meeting in kindergarten, summer for their childhood like the time they met the Akai family, winter for their middle school years with the ski trip and New York coming to mind, and finally fall for the culmination of all those moments leading to the answer to the confession on the blazing red stage of the Kiyomizu). I think they’d go with a Western wedding.
Heiji x Kazuha: Autumn. I feel for Heiji. The Kiyomizu would have been the perfect stage to confess to Kazuha. Their love story is intricately intertwined with Kyoto, land of the falling red leaves, what with Heiji meeting (in a way) his first love, Kazuha there, as well as with the recent movie focusing on the both of them and karuta. Definitely a Japanese wedding for these two.
Kaito x Aoko: Winter. They’re great (and suck respectively) at winter sports. Blue and white are commonly associated with them, with Kaito often giving blue roses to Aoko, so much that it’s become her motif, like sapphires. I think they’d opt for a Western wedding too. Both their homes are quite westernized, while Kaito definitely gets a lot of inspiration from the west.
Makoto x Sonoko: Summer. You would think it’s the only one left, but really, I think it fits. They met in the summer after all with Makoto working part-time by the beach, and Makoto fell in love with Sonoko’s bright and sunny personality. While Sonoko may prefer a Western wedding, I think they’d eventually go for a more traditional one with Makoto’s preference and considering that Suzuki is a zaibatsu (plus her older sister already went with a western wedding).
We don’t have that much moments for Hakuba x Akako yet, though Hakuba’s innocent crush on her is cute. Time will only tell if it’s genuine or a byproduct of Akako’s magic. Definitely a western wedding, but not inside in a Church, and I can somehow imagine Akako wearing a black wedding gown, haha.

How long do you see Sakamoto days roughly going on for ? Also do you think we’ll get an anime announcement soon ?
Heya. I think we're already 3/4 into the series, and there should be one more remaining arc, or two at most, before the series ends. Judgin from Suzuki-sensei's beastly schedule grind (very rarely he goes on break; it just happened this week), I project that the series might end in early 2025. It might even be sooner than we expect, but we'll see.
As for anime, hmm.. I hope by JF2025 (this year end) we'll get an announcement, and the anime is scheduled for myb third-quarter 2025 or early 2026. The longer the better cuz idw the studio to rush their job & overwork, result in low quality or whatsoever. SakaDays deserve top-tier animation just like any other action-centered series. 🙌🏼
Now excuse my extra rambling here but I often view SakaDays side by side with ONE PUNCH MAN. Takin that as reference, we gots a OPM S3 announcement in Aug 2022 but only last month we got the teaser trailer. And i thought some other studio would animate it but apparently its J.C. Staff again so it looked like no other studios are keen to animate the action-packed OPM.
For SakaDays, which is quite an equivalent due to its action-centered plot thou the earlier stuff is more comedic, it could be a long wait too. Not sure if any studios are keen to pick it up as of date cuz I think the thing stoppin them is probs cuz of Suzuki-sensei's incredible fightin choreography. SakaDays has heavy movie references of cinematography so the studio has to be rly good at adaptin the sequences or else it may not do justice to Suzuki-sensei's work. And tbh if I were an animator, i'd be afraid to take on this project too cuz i wouldnt wanna mess up somebody's work! I thought WIT would be a great studio at first, and i also thought of Park Sunghoo (prev w MAPPA) but then someone said the animation for Ninja Kamui was top tier so i gave the fight scenes a watch on YT and maaaaan, it was awesome! Then i learned that it was Park Sunghoo's new studio that did Ninja Kamui so i'm now all up for his studio to take on SakaDays😎 well here's to hopin for Park Sunghoo's new studio for SakaDays anime, announcement probs at JF2025 in December, and an anime release date around third-quarter of 2025 or early 2026! 🙏
Sorry this ended up bein a longass reply.

In the comics, the characters popularity voting results were listed twice (vol. 7, pp. 90-91 & vol. 12, pp. 148-149) in addition to a poll regarding the best battles (vol. 17, pp. 185-187). In 2018, to celebrate its 50th anniversary, JUMP made a new poll with the TOP 10 YYH Best Scenes selected by the readers.
This 3rd popularity poll was carried out at the end of the series (1994) and was published only in the magazine. It’s cool to see so many minor characters getting votes, even Togashi got a vote:
Announcement of popular voting results!!
Total number of votes: 14,407!!
Hiei won first place for three consecutive times!! There were many voices saying "he looks cold, but is really kind to his sister"!! Familiar characters are ranked in 2nd place and below! Mukuro, who made her debut at 5th, received a lot of votes from female fans, probably due to her tragic past! Raizen at 8th place (see the list below!) also received votes from fans who were impressed by his wholehearted love for “kuda kusushi” (fictional doctors who practiced medicine by ingesting rotting flesh of humans who had died of diseases in order to make their own body to produce antibodies and use their flesh and blood as vaccines)! In addition, there were votes for Jorge (Koenma’s subordinate), which appeared only in the anime, and Hinageshi and Kuronue from the movie!!

Étude in E Major
"Be a good girl for Suzuki-sensei, okay?"
Kaede hid behind her mother, Yua, and tightened her hold on the back of her sweater as she shook her head. She was only about as tall as the center of her mom's back, what with being six years old and all. "I don't wanna..." she whined, refusing to look at Tatsuo, her father.
He sighed, kneeling down next to her and putting a hand on her shoulder. "Hey, Kae. You’ll be fine, alright? We signed you up for an hour. I know this is scary, but this is only going to make you better. You’ll do great, we know you will." He handed the binder he was holding under his right hand out to her, and the kindergartner hesitantly let go of her mom’s sweater, slowly taking the binder from her dad. “There you are. Be on your best behavior, alright?” Already starting to feel herself tearing up, Kaede nodded, stepping up to the doorstep, standing on her tiptoes, and ringing the doorbell.
About ten seconds later, a girl with wavy black hair answered the door, her dark brown eyes lighting up when she saw the six-year-old. “Oh, you must be Kaede Akamatsu-chan!” she beamed. The girl looked to be around high school age.
Yua nodded, as if to confirm the girl’s assumption. “We’ll be back in an hour. Is that alright?”
The high schooler nodded. “Of course! We’ll be ready for you by then.”
Soon enough, both of Kaede’s parents were gone, with only a wave and a goodbye. She watched them go, tears starting to spill over as she did so.
“Akamatsu-chan?”
Kaede turned around to see the girl kneeling down, so they were at a more equal level. “It’s nice to meet you. I’m Kirie Suzuki. I go to the big high school down the road, and your parents asked me to be your piano tutor,” she greeted, with a soft smile. “Why don’t we go inside?” she suggested, standing up and opening the door for her. Hesitantly, Kaede stepped inside, far enough so Kirie could close the door behind them.
The small girl followed her inside, and when Kirie reached the piano room, she sat down on the piano bench, patting a spot beside her. Kaede hesitantly sat there, looking up at her new tutor.
“So, what do you have there?” she asked, pointing to the binder that the younger pianist was holding.
Kaede glanced down, before holding it out to her. “Songs mommy and daddy gave me to learn,” she explained.
The high schooler took the binder, flipping through it and cringing a bit at what she saw. “Akamatsu-chan, this is all... really, really hard. Can you play any of this?”
She nodded. “I’m learning them.”
Kirie blinked. “Wow. You must really like to play piano, huh?”
Kaede averted her gaze, hesitating for a moment. Be on your best behavior, alright? “No...”
“...what do you mean, no?”
She winced a bit at that response. “I don’t like playing piano. It’s not fun. It makes me tired.”
Something softened in Kirie’s eyes. It hadn’t been clear to Kaede at the time, but it was easy to tell— she felt bad for the little girl. “Well, um... what kind of songs do you like? Maybe you might like piano a little bit better if you got a fun song to play. Do you have a favorite song?”
Kaede’s face brightened a bit, but she seemed hesitant to get her hopes up. “...the, um... the Ponyo song?”
“I love Ponyo!” the older girl beamed, earning a genuine, excited smile from Kaede. “That’s great! Okay, so here’s what we’re gonna do. Between this lesson and the next one, I’m going to find you sheet music for the Ponyo song, okay?” A quick, happy nod from Kaede. “And then for right now...” she thought for a moment. “You know what the best part about learning songs on the piano is?”
She tilted her head to the side. “What?”
“Getting it right for the first time!” She started to flip through Kaede’s binder, smiling a bit and placing it on the music stand, open to ‘Etude in E Major’. “Is this one hard for you?” Another nod.
“Well, I’ll tell you a little secret,” Kirie continued. “This is actually my favorite song. I only learned it a few months ago, and I started playing the piano in middle school! So you’re already way ahead of me! Can I play it for you so you can see how it sounds? You might have an easier time playing it that way.”
Her parents couldn’t have picked a better tutor for her, Kaede thought to herself, nodding.
______________
“We sent our child to you to learn the classics, and she gets back in the car practically jumping up and down about that silly movie we took her and her sister to earlier this year! We hired you because we knew you were the most skilled pianist at Shining Star, and now I find out that we paid you to waste our daughter’s time for an hour. I’m glad we found this out now, and not weeks down the road, when we might have wasted even more of our money!”
Kaede was practically hiding behind her father, letting the tears that were welling up in her eyes start to spill down her cheeks while her mother yelled at a very timid-looking Kirie. “A-Akamatsu-san, I’m so sorry, but if you’ll just let me explain, I was trying to get her interested in—”
“Nobody in a concert hall wants to hear a song from a ridiculous children’s movie! They want to hear Yiruma! Beethoven! Debussy!”
Kirie looked defeated, glancing back at Kaede with an apologetic look.
Yua let out an agitated noise, turning and walking back to the car. “Tatsuo, we’re leaving.”
Kaede’s father took her hand, gently leading her back towards the car. Kaede, on the other hand, looked back over her shoulder at Kirie. “G-Goodbye, Suzuki-sensei,” she called over her shoulder, her voice breaking.
Kirie rubbed tears out of her eyes. It had only been an hour and she’d already gotten attached to this kid. “Bye, Akamatsu-chan,” she called.
______________
A week later, Kaede was called to the principal’s office. Worried she was in trouble, she left her classroom quickly, walking as fast as she could manage without it being considered running.
“Oh, Akamatsu-chan! One of the high-schoolers came by to drop something down for you,” the secretary told her, holding out a few sheets of paper.
Kaede blinked. What high-schoolers did she know...? She carefully took the paper, reading the title at the top.
Needless to say, the secretary was sufficiently confused when Kaede started getting teary over sheet music for the theme song to Ponyo.
[ Kaede is open for asks about this memory! ]

Momo Monday! School appropriate edition!
Can't swear constantly on school grounds! Speaking of which, would this be considered the elusive school festival? Cause if so, I say we go to the haunted house first! Then we can hit the games and grab some cheap, definitely-not-safe-to-eat microwave takoyaki!
Spoilers, I guess...
-First one to get a bajillion points gets to go home. Gotcha.
-Oh look. Prinicpal Allergy. He sneezed so hard he disappeared and sent Haruka back in time to 10 frames or so ago.
-Ok, I know these kinds of allegations can ruin a creator's career, but Haruka, you absolutely should be beating these people up. Or better yet, eat their katsu sandwich right in front of them!
-Subs are pretty cool people! ...well uh, except for this one I had throughout middle school and high school. I think she liked me. Or just as likely, she saw that I was autistic and thought I was a ticking time bomb and therefore decided to be nice to me just in case, but either I've heard through other subs and students who had her that she was pretty racist, so that's a big oof.
-Haruka's look of "Oh God dammit" is something I treasure.
-Soooo... public schools in my home state of Georgia typically have budgets on par with a Robert Rodriguez movie, so a substitute teacher who only accepts food-related bribes as payment is probably a dream come true for the school district I was in.
-Then again, Shinichi seems like one of those teachers who'd make you read ahead.
-Reppin' that NEET Life, amen brother.
-Oh I disagree, money is the sexiest thing ever. I love thinking about all the filthy horrible things it enables.
-...ok, I change my mind, this man reminds me of those teachers who'd have like a bajillion ducks or stuffed dogs or cats on their shelves. Like, I've seen a few of those at my school. This man would have an endless supply of monkies~
-Imagination. The Rainbow Line would be proud.
-Gaming? In class!? How epic.
-Ohhhh, spicy wasabi. He's killing it.
-Oh goddamn! They're really going at it with their alleged partners!
-I'm gonna try!
-You've got a warrior spirit, Haruka-chan!
-Twochers.
-Litterbug.
-Well don't shoot so much, Tsubasa!
-"I'm a mailman!"
-Again and again, he delivers the mail.
-"Ohhhhh, I see. You lost." Said the Professor, having finished eating his imaginary noodles.
-Oh my god, even his undies are peachy.
-No no no, you guys were pretending to make out with hot chicks and play video games in the middle of class. Haruka doesn't have to take any more of your gump.
-Jaywalkers.
-Ayyy, Birdie and Doggie, together in a B-plot! ...er uh... what I assume to be the B-plot.
-"Do you even have friends?"
-"No. I have... accompaniment."
...those festival guys and those dancing ladies must be pretty hurt by that.
-Ohhhhh, what the hell Hatano?! Why do you keep breaking chairs!? Now the arts budget is gonna get clipped because the school board isn't giving up their plans for a scoreboard produced after 2010!
-MOMOI-SENSEI YOU MONSTER
-Shogi Suzuki. They call him... something funny related to shogi, I can't decide which. Maybe his waifu in Persona 5 is Hifumi, idk, it'd be very based of him if that's the truth, but...
-Wow, Tarou's really making a festival out of this.
-Checked.
-"Hey teacher, why do you beat me, other teacher, bird guy, and the doggo up sometimes? Is that like a cultural thing?"
-These dynamics are delicious.
-Oh boy, another challenge episode!
-And yes, these callback jokes, haha, very funny, you spoiled them in the trailer from last episode!
-Though I have a much easier time believing Shinichi could instantly resort to these, to be fair.
-...where'd his shirt go?
-Tongue twisters~!
-I love the students' apathy so much. "Oh great, both of our teachers are super weirdos and friends with the Plagiarist. Maybe if we don't speak up at all,
-Oh hey, this really is just like my old school!
-Don-dammit, we're in school land now.
-It's learning time :)
-Oh, man, I feel that. Spring (I assume is when this takes place, assuming broadcast time period and in-show time are the same) allergies are the worst. ...though strangely, I haven't felt them all April...
-OH MY GOD HE'S BURNING HIS STUDENTS ALIVE THAT'S HORRIBLE
-Fuck you, I hope your allergies make you explode.
-Yeah, definitely a teacher over the age of "suitable to teach children anything other than how to make pipe bombs or racist statements."
-OH HE PUNCHES DOGS
-AND BIRDS!?
-KICK HIS ASS TAROU
-"Uhhh, yeah, how do we beat him up before these innocent schoolchildren burn alive!?"
-Sononi-sama, I do believe that is either the smell of burning paper or the smell of burning human flesh.
-"Sonoza, your laughter sucks and you should feel bad about it." -Sonoi S. Sonoson, 2022.
-"Join us, become our slave, peach boy!"
-...weeeeeeeeeell, if you handsome fellows and that gorgeous lady are willing to hire, I'll do a lot of things for 20 an hour!
-Disciplin't.
-Moooomotaro Zan, Momotaro Zan!
-Ahhhh, yep! Time for ZyuranTyranno's help! ...I wonder if we're ever gonna see a version with VroonDump? That'd be pretty epic of you, Toei, just saying.
-Ohhh, Don Leg Buster do a freezy!
-Hmmm... I believe that's the... Fiveman Avataro Gear? Chikyuu-Ki? Are we gonna get a marketable plushie Greek chorus again?
-Probably not.
-Your manners are abhorrent, Momoi-Tarou.
-And Don-Kaito hangs about.
-"You guys just keep sucking enough to be worth helping get stronger! ...but it's not enough! C'mon, c'mon! Keep up the pace, damn you! Hustle, hustle!"
-Ohhhhhhhhhhh, Wife Focus, Wife Focus, Wife Focus!
-You'd better not say anything mean about her, Inoue.
-I'm only half-joking there, by the way. That being said though, I do look forward to next episode.
