Ich gehöre mit zu den am meisten bedrohten Tierarten dieser Welt. Als friedlicher Pflanzenfresser werde ich immer mehr in meinem Lebensraum eingeengt. In abgelegenen Höhen Südwesten Chinas finden wir großen Pandas unsere letzte Ruhe. Mehr Lebensraum, passender Lebensraum steht uns nicht mehr zu Verfügung. Rund 1.800 meiner Artgenossen gibt es noch. Was die Zukunft bringt, wissen wir nicht. Was ich jedoch weiß, ist, dass es keinesfalls einfacher für uns Pandas wird. Die Ansprüche des Menschen und dessen Wachstum steht in allem im Vordergrund. Während wir ums Überleben kämpfen, greift der Mensch nach mehr und nimmt uns das, was wir zum Leben benötigen. Unsere Wälder schrumpfen und werden durchzogen von Straßen und Bahnstrecken. Ganz zu schweigen von der landwirtschaftlichen Nutzung, die uns den letzten Platz auf Erden nimmt. So niedlich, wie ich aussehe, so ruhig wie ich auch erscheine, sieht es in mir aber nicht aus. Außer abzuwarten wie immer mehr meiner Art verschwinden, kann ich nicht viel tun. Das Leben meiner Art liegt in deren Hand, die es erlöschen. Ich bin ein großer Panda. Ein Lebewesen, das fühlen kann. Folge mir auf meiner Reise und werde sehen, womit ich täglich zu kämpfen habe.  Fakt ist: dieses Problem ist keine Eintagsfliege! Dennoch wird so gelebt. Was heute geschieht, wird morgen vergessen. Jeden Tag muss für eine bessere Welt gekämpft werden. Viele Organisationen tun das. Suri girls having fun in a river where they were panning for gold. They walk for days from Kibbish to get there and arduously pan and separate the grains of gold from sediment. The Suri live in the Northern Omo valley and are closely connected to the Mursi in Mago National park and the Kapicho in South Sudan. They are pastoralists pursuing a subsistence and sustainable life in an area which, until recently, was very isolated. Eccoci qui. Pronti per un nuovo debutto. E' il nono spettacolo che facciamo insieme, io e Francesco. Segnate la data, è dal vivo e in presenza: mercoledì 26 maggio, h 19.00 al Teatro Kismet di Bari. E' TARZAN RAGAZZO SELVAGGIO. Scritto di getto durante il primo lockdown, quello del non saremo più come prima. Ci abbiamo lavorato in più riprese da allora. Non ci sono alligatori uccisi dopo lunghe e pericolose nuotate, Cita – meglio dirselo subito – non esiste, e il rapporto con Jane è molto più complicato: la base del racconto teatrale è stata "Tarzan of the Apes" di Edgar Rice Burroughs. Il primo romanzo dell’infinita saga di Tarzan (scritto poco prima dello scoppio della Grande Guerra) si è fuso con la nostra scrittura, ma anche con "Il Ragazzo selvaggio" di Truffaut, "Cuore di Tenebra" di Conrad e la Londra povera e disperata descritta da Jack London nel suo "Popolo dell’Abisso". Tutto nudo e crudo, senza nessuna concessione alle promesse degli adulti e del progresso. Con il più grande amore per il mistero intoccabile della crescita, dell’umano e della nostra Terra. Due note per noi importanti. E' una co-produzione con i Teatri di Bari e che il sostegno pieno e da capofila sia arrivato a teatri chiusi per noi è prezioso e significativo. Lo spettacolo sostiene Survival International. E' il movimento mondiale per i popoli indigeni, e la sua campagna per un nuovo modello di conservazione, efficace e rispettoso dei popoli indigeni, contro la conservazione coloniale che ruba la terra ai popoli nativi che la custodiscono e la abitano da sempre, viaggerà con lo spettacolo sia a livello informativo che di sostegno fattivo e concreto. Da oggi siamo in teatro per le ultime prove. Cerco i segni di cosa sarà. Pomeriggio tardi correvo in bicicletta. Il copione tenuto sul manubrio. Ho visto il primo scurzone. Si è sfilato nell'erba vicino al mare. Poi è sparito. Ecco, mi dico. E' lui. Ecco il segno.
