Sebastian Solace(Pressure) x Reader/Self-Insert 🌊
Part-One /Fluff/1,886 Words
Tumblr media
____________
Synopsis: In which when I first played pressure I just stood and stared at Sebastian’s character model for a solid five minutes. So this was born. yayayaya
____________
Army crawling on your knees and elbows, your chest rattles with your wheezing breaths. Truth was, you’d never been an active person. The most legwork you’d gotten in a day was typically at work, and even then, that was minimal. Suffice to say, being thrust into this shitshow of a scenario where running from constant threats was the norm, the situation couldn’t be anymore dire.
You wave a hand about in front of yourself, fanning away the disrupted layers of dust that fluttered in the cramped ventilation shaft as your rasping coughs bounce off the walls and create a cacophony of god-awful racket. You mutter a slew of curses to yourself, clapping your palm over your nose and mouth in a pitiful attempt to stifle your coughing fit. It would be just your luck for a nearby eldritch-horror to overhear your pathetic, asthmatic-self in the vents and drag you out by the ankles. The thought alone brings an electrifying jolt of anxiety through your person, and if you had the space you’d be looking over your shoulder in paranoia. Alas, the best you could do was put your jittering nerves to use and crawl just that little bit faster. Honestly, it was an accomplishment in of itself that you managed to shimmy-shammy your adult self into such a claustrophobic passage in the first place. If you hadn’t known any better, you would’ve just marched straight past the most convenient and inviting looking vent in the world. Probably assuming it to be a blatant trap. Except, you did know better. Just a few feet ahead lay maybe the only place in the entire bowels of this hellscape where you felt you were well and truly safe.
Crawling out of the shaft like an NYC subway rat, you’re finally free to hack up your lungs in peace without fear of death by angler. At least, no death from this one in particular. Blindly you lean back to sit on your haunches, eyes straining to pick up any movement in the darkness.
“Oh. It’s you.” Your shoulder’s jump as a voice drawls from the far-side of the room. Soon after, a gentle glow begins to illuminate the occupied space.
Now with your gracious host offering you visibility, you blink your adjusting vision over to watch as Sebastian seemingly just wraps up whatever file he’d been perusing in the dark. Before you can even attempt to try and sneak a peek at whatever he’d been reading, said folder closes shut with a swift snap. The merchant then carefully tucks the item away into his inner-coat’s pocket. A shame, your snooping has been so swiftly shut down before it ever had a chance to begin- you pout at the missed opportunity. Sebastian catches your longing gaze fixated on his coat, and gives a condescending little pat to the area where you know the concealed document is to be hiding. Wordlessly daring you to even try. Cheeky fish.
“Not even a ‘Hello’ or ‘How are you’? I could’ve been dying in there!” You bemoan in a familiar way of greeting, gesticulating between yourselves wildly as you saunter forward. Sebastian, unphased by your usual eccentricities, drags an unimpressed eye over your much smaller form. Analyzing. Probably looking at your absolutely filthy diving suit- sweat-drenched and caked in dust, grime, and maybe even a little bit of blood as it was. At least you assumed so, if the distaste visibly evident in his features was anything to go by.
“I was hoping whoever it was would die a little more quickly.” Was his dry response, before turning his head in indifference; seeming to have found whatever it was he was looking for on your person.
You scoff, “I see chivalry really is dead.” You gripe without any real bite in your voice. Already beginning to survey the merchant’s wares. Out of the corner of your eye, you watch him as he begins to preen over his nails, pretending to be checking for dirt. Or blood, you didn’t know the guy well enough to say for certain what he did in his free-time. Your attention travels upwards, from his large hands up to his round face. The light emanating from his angler’s bulb casts an almost ethereal glow to his features. Especially with the way his eyes gleam that cerulean blue that’s quickly becoming a favorite color of yours. In addition to these qualities, there’s a very light sprinkling of bioluminescent freckles smattered across his cheeks. Sort of reminiscent to that of stars. Idly your fingers twitch, the sudden urge to reach up and map them like constellations startlingly strong. All these qualities make Sebastian feel so surreal, so out of this world. In juxtaposition to all of that, you’re confident to say that if he had the means, he’d be snobbishly turning his nose up at you right about now. The mental image brings a small, secretive smile to your face.
Sebastian rolls his eyes- or at least, you get the impression that he does. His lack of distinctive pupils makes it hard to tell.
“Are you going to actually buy something today?” He snips, cocking out a hip. “Or are you just going to keep gawking at me?” The merchant sneers through grit teeth(or maybe that was just his face?).
Snapping out of your reverie, caught with your hand in the proverbial cookie-jar, blood rushes to your head as you grin sheepishly up at his accusatory glare.
“Sorry, you’re just…” you wave a hand up beside yourself, willing the right words to come to you. Sebastian, amused by your silent floundering, quirks a knowing eyebrow at you. As if saying ‘Go on?’ The soundless goading sends you into a mental spiral- what did that mean? What did he think you were going to say? God- you don’t want to accidentally offend him, but you also don’t want to sound like a complete idiot. You gulp, mouth opening and closing a few times as you attempt to formulate words that will appease him.
Seemingly tired of you embarrassing yourself, Sebastian moved to speak, assumedly in an act of mercy from this sad display. Quickly, you blurt out the first thing that comes to mind, before he could beat you to the punch.
“You’re just really pretty.” Mortified, you clap your hands over your mouth. Yup. Those are. Definitely words that you just said. To his face.
Muscles tensing, you brace for his reaction. You’re not sure what you’re expecting, disgust, maybe? Mocking laughter, most probably. Any and all situations your brain can conjure up are absolutely humiliating in equal measure. However, as one moment drags into two, and the silence has still yet to be breached, you cautiously look Sebastian’s way. The sight that greets you is a rare one. The infamous Z-13, Sebastian Solace, is left speechless.
The Merchant’s smug expression falters, a look of genuine astonishment crossing his face. The dim light cast by his lure does little to mask the way his stature curls inwards slightly. A slight too much, in your opinion. You can see the muscles in his jaw clenching and unclenching- as though internally wrestling with a response. Just as you had been a moment prior. The knowledge that he was just as at a loss for words as you were eases the tension in your shoulders, if only by a hair. Miser so does love its company, after-all. There’s a brief pause, heavy and awkward, until he finally speaks, his voice softer than usual.
“Pretty?” he echoes, almost disbelievingly. He then swallows, visibly thrown off-kilter.
“I don’t think I’ve ever been called… At-At least- that is to say, not in a good long while.” The second half of his sentence is murmured, as if mostly said to himself. But you had overheard, and he looks as if to have noticed the way your brows pinch in a confusing whirlpool of emotions. Mostly sympathy, pity, among other emotions neither of you were too entirely ready to put out on the table. God forbid you two express emotional maturity and speak plainly like adults. Sebastian flexes his long tail, the serpentine appendage looking as if it were going to either pull or push you away. However, before it can make any progress in either endeavor, Sebastian, -noticeably uncomfortable- clears his throat.
“Silly little thing.” He croons, swooping down from his towering height to give you a patronizing pinch to the cheek with his clawed index and thumb. “You should be mindful of your tongue, hmmm?” As he speaks, his usual edge returns to his voice. Your head helplessly tilts side-to-side with the motion of his ‘affection’. Affronted, and a little whip-lashed with his quick recovery, you swat the offending hand away from your face.
“Jerk! I was trying to be nice!” Despite the biting words, you can’t help but feel relieved to be set back on familiar ground. Whatever emotional vulnerability present in the moment prior was slowly ebbing away, returning to your regularly scheduled squabbling. Sebastian chuckles, bodily retreating to his previous stature and re-clasping his hands before himself with an echoing ‘clap’. You rub at your reddened cheeks, whether their heat was due to Sebastian’s rough treatment or from an entirely other emotion, was only for you to know.
Sebastian continues on distractedly, seeming to have already recollected his composure. “Flattery will get you nowhere here, you know. But… thanks.” You think you see his eyes dart away for a brief moment, before locking onto yours again. A curl of his typical smirk splaying across his lips.
You gasp dramatically, a goofy smile erupting on your face. “The mighty Sebastian? Saying thanks?” You tease.
Sebastian waves a hand about in the air dismissively. “Yeah yeah, just don’t let it get to your head.” He says, crossing his arms defensively. He steamrolls on before you get anymore wise ideas to- eugh, compliment him. “Now hurry up and buy something already!” He snaps, motioning to the various goodies strapped to his person. Not having to be told thrice now, you hurry and make your selections. Eager to move on from everything and anything to do with word ‘cute’. Nothing major, just a few batteries for the road and a mobile hacker or two. Sebastian seems to approve of your choices, and if the price he demands of you seems a little cheaper than the usual- well. You certainly weren’t going to complain.
Getting everything tucked neatly away and ready to go, you begin to trek back towards the vent before being stopped once more by Sebastian.
“Oh! And Traveller?” He calls. With an answering hum, you look back to maybe your only friend down here. The merchant in question seems to look like he’s turning something over in his head, before continuing with a withering sigh.
“Try not to get yourself killed out there, alright? I’d hate to lose such a profitable costumer.” He sing-songs grimly. Despite the harsh words, you can’t help but notice a slight undertone of warm endearment. Feeling like a certified Sebastian-whisperer, you pride swells in your chest at being able to read between the lines. With a barely concealed snicker at his thinly-veiled concern, you toss a final farewell his way before retreating. All throughout the next dozen or so rooms, you journey forward with a skip in your step. Feeling invigorated with newfound determination knowing that a certain merchant was counting on your safe return.
______________
eeeughh I’m so rusty with writing. Like. It’s not even funny how long this took me for just a one-shot? Idk I might continue this, I just suck so bad at staying motivated for fanfics. Anywho, hope any fellow Sebastian enjoyers out there liked this, there’s not enough content out there of him👍 please make more content guys pls I’m starved for the fics puh-LEASEE

you flitted through the sun-dappled forest on iridescent wings, your gossamer gown fluttering and shimmering with each graceful movement. as a curious fairy, you delighted in teasing the humans who dared to venture into your woodland realm. most were kind travellers, eager to learn more about the fairy realm, whilst others were strange merchants, looking to sell you bubbling potions and wicked spells - most of which you simply casted back their way, leaving them with spikes in their eyes or tendrils of vines wrapped tightly around their throats. just all fun things :)
today, you had donned an especially adorable outfit - a scrap of sheer fabric barely concealing your breasts and hugging your curves. the other fairies favoured similar styles, so you happily followed suit, wanting to blend in with your peers. with a tinkling laugh, you darted between the ancient trees, leaving shimmering trails of pixie dust in your wake.
your destination for the day was a secluded glade renowned for its vibrant wildflowers. legend whispered that these blossoms held mystical properties, granting the gatherer immense beauty and allure. with an air of mischief, you intended to collect an assortment of the rarest hues to adorn your fairy home and perhaps entice a handsome suitor or two. as you happened upon a gnarled root, you paused to admire the ethereal beauty surrounding you - lush ferns unfurled like emerald fans, while dainty wild orchids bloomed in pastel shades.
suddenly, the sound of crunching leaves and snapping twigs echoed through the glade. your heart raced with trepidation as you sensed a powerful presence drawing near. as the sounds grow louder, you hide behind a wide oak tree, peeking out curiously. into view strode a tall, muscular man; he moved with the grace of a predator, his movements fluid and purposeful.
his muscular frame was clad in tight leather armour that accentuated every sculpted curve. in his hand, he gripped a wicked-looking silver dagger, its blade glinting menacingly in the dappled light. his upper face was shielded by a skull mask and when he turned to look in your direction, you gasped silently at the dark brown pits of his eyes. the stranger paused in the centre of the glade, surveying his surroundings with a keen gaze. his eyes fell upon the vibrant wildflowers and he smiled, a flash of white teeth against his dark skin. he knelt down to examine a particularly beautiful blossom, his large hand gently cupping the delicate petals.
you watched as he tugged some flowers from the ground, before bundling them up into a bouquet - a gorgeous artistic masterpiece, if you said so yourself. you poked your head out more, wanting to take a closer look at the flowers he had gathered, but as you leaned forward, your wings brushed against the oak leaves above you.
the man’s head snapped up, those intense brown eyes scanning the area until they locked onto your hiding spot. the man's deep voice rang out, echoing through the glade. "i know you're there, little one. come out and show yourself."
your heart skipped a beat as you realised the situation you were now in; lewis hamilton, the infamous fairy hunter, stood before you. his reputation most definitely preceded him - tales spoke of his unparalleled hunting skills and the countless fairy lives he'd claimed. and now here he was, mere feet away, those piercing brown eyes boring into you.
"well, well," he drawled, a smirk playing at the corners of his mouth. "aren't you a pretty little thing? i've been searching for quite some time to find a specimen as... delectable as yourself." he took a step closer, his boots crunching against the forest floor, his hand spinning the dagger mockingly, while the other reached out towards you invitingly.
your wings began to flutter rapidly as you decided to put some distance between yourself and the approaching hunter. with a burst of speed, you darted through the air, weaving between the trees in a dizzying dance. behind you, the sound of pursuit began - heavy footfalls crushing undergrowth, laboured breathing, the occasional curse muttered under lewis’ breath as he gave chase.
your heart pounded in your chest, adrenaline surging through your veins. part of you knew you should keep flying until you reached the safety of the deepest parts of the forest or your home, but another part, a traitorously dark voice in the back of your mind, whispered that getting caught might not be so bad. especially if it meant ending up in the arms of such a man.
just as you rounded a tree in the forest, a strong arm suddenly snaked out and wrapped around your waist, yanking you off course. you let out a startled yelp as you found yourself pressed against a solid wall of muscle, lewis’ body pinning you to a broad tree trunk. his free hand came up to wrap firmly around your throat, tilting your chin up to force you to meet his intense gaze.
"gotcha," he growled, a triumphant smirk playing across his lips. "i've been chasing you little minx for a while now. did you really think you could outfly me?" his thumb brushed along your neck as he leaned in closer, his warm breath ghosting over the shell of your ear. "now, what shall i do with my pretty little prize?"
“please don't eat me, i know you disgusting humans do that,” you whined, trying to wriggle out of his hold against the tree, but your wings were being scratched up, so you stopped. lewis threw his head back and laughed, a rich, deep sound that sent shivers down your spine. "eat you? oh no, sweet thing. i have much more...appetising plans for a delectable morsel like you." his grip on your throat tightened slightly as his other hand slid down to grab a handful of your plush rear, squeezing the supple flesh possessively.
“owww!” you yelped, trying to crane your neck to see what he was doing, “wait what? you won't eat me...can i go then?”
lewis’ eyes gleamed with mischief and barely restrained hunger as he drank in the sight of your trembling form pinned beneath him. "go? oh, i don't think so, my little fairy. now that i have you right where i want you..." his tongue flicked out to trace the delicate shell of your ear before he nipped at the lobe, sending jolts of sensation straight to your core. "i'm going to take my time exploring every inch of this exquisite body."
with his hand tracing down your collarbone, he ripped open the front of your gossamer gown, exposing your pert breasts to the cool forest air. the other released your rear to slide up your side, calloused fingers skimming over the swell of your breast through the thin fabric of your gown. he cupped the soft mound, thumbing the pebbled peak of your nipple until it strained against the gauzy material. "mmmm, so responsive. i bet you're aching for my touch, aren't you?"
blushing wildly, you watched with awe as lewis cupped your breasts, rubbing them together, “nobody had ever touched me...what does that mean? do humans like to touch other humans?”
lewis's grin turned predatory as he drank in the sight of your trembling form, so innocent yet ripe for corruption. his corruption. "oh, my sweet little lamb," he purred, voice dripping with dark promise. his large, work-roughened hands began their sinister exploration, calloused palms dragging along the silken expanse of your thighs. they crept higher and higher, pushing the fabric of your gown up inch by tantalizing inch until cool air kissed the heated skin of your most intimate areas.
"you have no idea what delights await you, do you?" lewis growled, hot breath ghosting over the shell of your ear. one hand slid between your legs, cupping your mound possessively while the other wrapped around your throat, applying just enough pressure to make your pulse jump.
he captured your lips in a searing kiss, plundering your mouth with his tongue as he backed you further against the tree. his knee nudged insistently between your legs, applying delicious pressure to your most sensitive areas. breaking the kiss, he trailed his lips down the column of your throat, sucking and nibbling at the delicate flesh. "i'm going to ruin you for anyone else," he growled against your skin.
"what are you doing to me?" you whimpered breathlessly, slender fingers tangling in lewis' dark hair. despite your words of protest, you found yourself unconsciously grinding your hips against his, craving more of the friction he was giving you.
lewis' fingers delved deeper down your body, stroking along your slick folds with maddeningly light touches. he circled your clit with the pad of his thumb, the bundle of nerves throbbing under his ministrations. "that's it, sweetheart. don't fight it. let the pleasure consume you."
leaning down, he drew one rosy peak into his hot mouth, suckling greedily as his tongue swirled around the sensitive bud. his fingers never ceased their relentless assault on your aching sex, pumping two digits knuckle-deep into your tight channel while his thumb continued its merciless circling of your clit.
his mouth left a trail of open-mouthed kisses and love bites across your collarbone and down to your other breast, giving it equal attention. all the while, his thumb maintained its torturous pace on your clit, alternating between firm circles and quick flicks. the obscene sounds of your arousal filled the air - the slick glide of his fingers in your soaked folds, your breathy moans and whimpers of overwhelmed bliss.
you trembled and writhed against the tree, your untouched body overwhelmed by the intense sensations. your hips buck erratically, trying to take lewis' invading fingers deeper. "ah! ah! l-lewisss...too much...i c-can't..."
but even as you protest, your inner walls flutter and clench around the digits stretching you open, drawing them in further. the coil of tension winds tighter and tighter, threatening to snap at any moment. tears of overwhelming pleasure prick as you look up at lewis, completely lost to the ecstasy he's inflicting upon your body.
lewis drinks in the debauched sight of you - flushed cheeks, glazed eyes, full lips parted in silent cries of rapture. your response inflamed his desire to new heights. "shh, that's it baby. let go. i've got you," he crooned, voice rough with barely restrained lust. he redoubled his efforts, fingers pumping faster, harder, curling just right to hit that magic spot inside you with every thrust. his thumb pressed down hard on your clit, rubbing tight circles around the swollen nub.
sensing you were teetering on the edge, lewis sealed his lips over yours in a filthy kiss, swallowing your keening cries as he pushed you over the edge. his tongue plundered your mouth, mimicking the rhythm of his fingers fucking your spasming cunt.
lewis held you close as the waves of your first orgasm crashed over you, your untouched body convulsing in ecstasy. he gentled his touch, letting you ride out each aftershock, fingers still buried deep inside your fluttering sheath. as the last tremors faded, he slowly withdrew, bringing his glistening digits to his mouth to lick them clean with a low moan of appreciation.
"exquisite," he rumbled, dark eyes heavy-lidded with satisfaction and renewed hunger. "the taste of your innocence is ambrosial." in one swift motion, he hoisted you up again, encouraging you to wrap your legs around his waist as he pinned you more firmly against the tree.
mumbling, you ask lewis about the pressure out your core, leaving you to dig your hands into his shoulders. lewis chuckled lowly, grinding his hips against yours in a slow, deliberate roll. the rigid heat of his cock nestled perfectly against your sensitive folds, stoking the embers of your spent arousal back to life. "this, my sweet fairy, is what happens when a man wants a woman as badly as i want you." he punctuated his words with another purposeful thrust against your folds, letting you feel every thick inch of him.
large hands slid down to cup your ass, kneading the supple flesh as he supported your weight effortlessly. leaning in, he nipped at your earlobe before whispering hotly, "it's called an erection, darling. when a man is so aroused, his cock fills with blood and stiffens, ready to claim his lover."
“claim?” you mumble surprised, your eyes wandering to the thick muscle jutting out from his hips. the thick, veiny member stood proudly erect, pulsating with an insatiable hunger. the bulbous head was a deep, rich purple, oozing with precum that glistened in the dappled sunlight filtering through the trees.
the sight of lewis's imposing member took your breath away, its sheer size both intimidating and exhilarating. you could feel the heat radiating from his flesh, the musky scent of his arousal filling your nostrils and making your head spin with wanton desire.
lewis' eyes flashed with primal hunger at your innocent question. "yes, little one. to claim you, to make you mine in the most intimate way possible." he rolled his hips again, letting you feel the heavy throb of his desire.
"i'm going to fill this tight little pussy with my cock," he growled against your racing pulse. "stretch you wide and deep until you're screaming my name. pump you full of my seed until it takes root in your womb." his free hand delved between your bodies to rub the broad head of his shaft through your slick folds, coating himself in your essence.
you shivered and gasped as lewis marked your tender skin, leaving a trail of reddening hickeys. thighs quivering around his waist - holding on very tightly you were - as jolts of electricity seem to shoot straight to your core from his teasing touches. "i-i don't understand..." you whimpered confusedly, even as you arched into his possessive hold. "what do you mean, 'until it takes root'?"
despite your innocence, lewis’ words ignites something deep within you, a yearning you don’t fully comprehend but desperately crave. your hips writhe instinctively, trying to draw him closer, to ease the ache building once more in your neglected sex. lewis groaned as your hips rolled against his, the friction delicious torture. he could feel your confusion warring with awakening need, your body responding to instincts older than time itself. "shh, don't think, just feel," he coaxed, voice a dark rumble. "when i say it will take root, i mean i'm going to fill this sweet cunt with so much cum, it might quicken in your belly."
he notched the broad crown of his cock against your entrance, letting you feel how he would split you open on his thick length. "breed you, make you swell with my child. claim you so thoroughly, everyone will know who you belong to." with a flex of his hips, he breached you shallowly, just the tip sinking into your scorching heat.
your high-pitched keen echoed through the forest as lewis' thick tip stretched your virgin entrance. muscles fluttered and clenched around the intrusion, trying to draw him deeper despite the initial burn of the stretch. tears of overwhelmed sensation pricked at the corners of your eyes but were quickly replaced by hazy bliss as you adjusted to the foreign feeling of fullness.
"fuck, so tight," lewis grunted, jaw clenched with the effort of holding back. he savored the exquisite squeeze of your silken walls for a long moment before slowly withdrawing until just the tip remained inside, then pushing forward again with a bit more force. each shallow thrust worked him deeper, your copious arousal easing the way as he claimed your innocence inch by excruciating inch.
he set a steady rhythm, working his thick shaft deeper into your clutching heat with each roll of his hips. the wet squelch of your sex filled the air, punctuated by your breathy moans and his guttural groans. he angled his thrusts to hit that spot inside you with every pass, determined to wring every drop of pleasure from your responsive body.
one large hand slid under your thigh to hitch your leg higher on his hip, opening you wider for his possession. the new angle allowed him to sink impossibly deeper, the coarse hairs at the base of his cock tickling your sensitive folds. "that's it, take it all like a good fairy," he praised huskily, sweat beading on his brow from the strain of holding back his release.
lewis' gaze flicked to your wings, now fluttering wildly with the intensity of your shared passion. the delicate membranes seemed to pulse in time with your racing heartbeat, a visible manifestation of your growing pleasure. "your wings are so responsive, little fairy," he murmured appreciatively, reaching out to trace a finger along the leading edge. "they quiver like the rest of you, just desperate for more."
emboldened by your reaction, he captured one wing in his large hand, stroking and caressing the sensitive material. his touch sent sparks of electricity dancing across your nerves, adding a new dimension to the overwhelming sensations consuming you. at the same time, he increased the pace of his thrusts, driving into you with deep, powerful strokes that had your back arching off the tree trunk.
lewis groaned deeply, feeling you grip him like a vice as he drove his cock deeper into your willing body. your desperate pleas for more only spurred him on, his hips snapping forward with increased ferocity. "yes, take it all, little fairy," he rasped, one hand reaching up to roughly palm your bouncing breast. he pinched and rolled your nipple between his fingers, the added stimulation causing you to keen loudly.
lewis leaned in, capturing your mouth in another searing kiss as he continued to pound into you, his thick shaft stroking your cervix with each powerful thrust. lewis growled into the kiss, the taste of your submission fueling his desire. his tongue plundered your mouth, dominating and claiming every inch. the wet sounds of flesh slapping against flesh echoed in the forest as he continued his relentless assault on your senses.
"yes, scream for me, you filthy girl," he grunted, angling his hips to hit that special spot inside you with every deep stroke. his hand on your breast pinched harder, sending jolts of pleasure-pain straight to your core. "this greedy cunt was made for my cock, wasn't it? made to be stretched and used for my pleasure." lewis broke the kiss to trail his lips down your neck, biting and sucking dark marks into your skin. he wanted everyone to see, to know that you belonged to him now - his personal fairy to ruin as he saw fit.
lost in a haze of lust, you could only moan brokenly as lewis took you with animalistic fervour. each powerful thrust sent shockwaves of ecstasy through your trembling body, stoking the inferno building in your core.
"yes, yes, yes! don't stop!" you wailed, fingernails raking down his back hard enough to leave red welts. your hips bucked wildly to meet his, taking him impossibly deeper. the coil of tension wound tighter and tighter, threatening to snap at any moment.
"i'm... i'm going to..." you panted desperately, inner muscles starting to convulse around his pistoning shaft. tears of overwhelming sensation leaked from the corners of your eyes as you teetered on the knife's edge of release, "please, lewis! use me, ruin me, i'm yours!"
"come for me, now!" lewis barked, his voice a dark, commanding growl. he punctuated his demand with a particularly brutal thrust, burying himself to the hilt inside your spasming heat. his fingers dug into the meat of your hips hard enough to bruise as he held you in place, using your body like his personal cock sleeve. lewis' own release approached rapidly, balls drawing up tight as your velvety walls rippled along his length.
"that's it, milk my cock like the desperate cumslut you are!" he snarled through gritted teeth, hips snapping erratically as he chased his high. "scream my name as i fill this needy cunt with my seed!"
"lewis!" you screamed, back arching sharply as your orgasm crashed over you like a tidal wave. your vision whited out, every nerve ending igniting with mind-numbing pleasure. your pussy clamped down hard on his pistoning cock, rhythmically squeezing and massaging his shaft as if trying to wring out every last drop of his cum.
lewis let out a feral roar as your pussy vise-gripped his cock, the rhythmic squeezing and gushing flood triggering his own explosive climax. with a final, brutal thrust, he buried himself to the hilt inside your spasming channel. his heavy balls drew up tight and then pulsed as he began to paint your insides white with his seed.
"fuck yes! take it all you perfect little fairy slut!" he bellowed, hips jerking erratically as spurt after spurt of hot, virile cum pumped directly into your unprotected womb. the sheer volume was staggering - it seemed like he would never stop coming, filling you to overflowing with his potent essence.
even as the last weak spurts dribbled out, lewis kept you pinned, ensuring not a single drop escaped your stuffed hole.
as the final tremors of your shared climax faded, lewis slumped against you, pinning you to the tree with his larger frame. both of you were panting heavily, chests heaving as you struggled to catch your breath. a fine sheen of sweat coated your skin, making it glisten in the dappled forest light.
slowly, almost reluctantly, he pulled out of your abused hole with a wet squelch. a river of pearly white semen immediately began to leak out, dripping obscenely down your thighs. he watched in satisfaction as your gaping, twitching cunt tried valiantly to close around nothing, still fluttering like your wings, weakly from the aftershocks.
"there we go," he rumbled, voice rough with spent passion. "marked you inside and out now. everyone will smell my claim on you."
boneless and sated, your legs wobbled precariously as you slumped against the rough bark of the tree trunk, barely able to hold yourself upright. every movement sent pleasant aftershocks zinging through your nerve endings, a delicious ache settling deep in your core - a physical reminder of the thorough claiming you had just endured.
your chest heaved with ragged breaths, sweat-dampened skin glistening in the dappled sunlight filtering through the canopy above. your wings hung limply at your sides, the delicate membranes twitching occasionally.
lewis's words finally penetrated the haze of post-coital bliss, causing a pretty flush to bloom across your cheeks. you ducked your head shyly, suddenly acutely aware of your nakedness and vulnerability. the way he said 'claim', so possessively and definitively, sent a shiver down your spine.
"i... i mean, we can't just..." you started to protest weakly, but your voice trailed off uncertainly.
lewis chuckled lowly, a deep, rumbling sound of masculine satisfaction. his eyes glittered with amusement and undisguised desire as he drank in the sight of you - flushed, dishevelled, and marked with the evidence of your coupling. finding your sudden coyness utterly endearing after the shameless way you'd begged for his cock mere moments before, he reached out to gently but firmly tilt your chin up with the tip of his finger.
"oh but we can, little fairy," he purred, his voice a low, seductive rasp dripping with smug male pride. "and we did. your sweet, needy little cunt is absolutely drenched in my seed right now. there's no use denying the truth - your body knows who it belongs to." tracing his fingers through the mess leaking from your slit, he gathered a generous amount of your combined cum, bringing the slick digits to your face, pressing them against your closed lips. a breathy whimper escaped you, the intimate taste of your combined juices sending a shockwave of renewed desire straight to your core. your tongue darted out instinctively, lapping at the offered digits with kittenish licks. the heady, musky flavour burst across your taste buds - an erotic cocktail of your most intimate essences mingling together.
"mmmm, that's it baby girl," lewis groaned appreciatively, his half-lidded eyes dark with lust as he watched you, "taste how perfectly we are together. how your greedy little holes were made to milk my cock."
he pushed his fingers deeper past your lips, coating your tongue thoroughly before withdrawing with a wet pop. a string of saliva connected his fingertips to your bottom lip briefly before breaking.
you hums around his fingers, eyes fluttering shut, savouring the taste. when you open them again, they're hazy with rekindling desire, pupils blown wide and dark with need. slowly, almost hypnotically, you begin to suckle his fingers clean, hollowing cheeks and swirling your tongue around each digit. lewis groans, eyes darkening once again as he watches you clean his fingers. the sight of your pink little tongue lapping at his digits, coupled with the lewd sounds you make, has his spent cock already starting to stir with interest once more.
"that's it, good girl," he praises huskily, pressing his fingers deeper into the warm cavern of your mouth. "such an eager little thing, aren't you? already ready for more." his other hand slides down to palm your ass possessively, kneading the soft globe and pulling you flush against him. you can feel the growing bulge of his reawakening erection nudging insistently against your belly.
“i think this greedy body of yours needs another thorough claiming,” lewis rumbles, voice thick with renewed desire.
“wait...do i need to tell the fairy elders about this?” you gasp, placing a hand against his thick biceps.
lewis paused, a flicker of surprise crossing his handsome features at your question before it was quickly replaced by a wicked, devilish grin. he leaned in close, his lips brushing maddeningly against the delicate shell of your ear as he spoke in a low, conspiratorial murmur.
"tell the elders? oh darling, where would be the fun in that?" he purred, his hot breath fanning across your sensitive skin and eliciting a full-body shudder from you. "no, i think what transpired between us here should remain our own special secret, don't you agree?"
as if to punctuate his words, lewis’ large hand slid from the plush curve of your ass, tangling his fingers in the strands of your hair.
lewis’ lips curved into a wicked smirk against your skin as he continued his sensual assault, punctuating each word with a nip or kiss. "besides," he purred, voice muffled and low, "i have a feeling you rather enjoyed our little rendezvous. the way you mewled so sweetly, begged so prettily to be stuffed full..."
his wandering hand drifted higher, fingertips ghosting feather-light over the swell of your breast, teasing the sensitive skin. lewis pulled back just enough to meet your gaze, his eyes blazing with mischief and barely contained hunger. they raked over your face hungrily, taking in every detail of your debauched expression.
"i bet a naughty part of you wants to keep this our deliciously dirty secret too," he rumbled, voice dropping to a seductive growl.
“to sneak away and let me ravish you whenever the urge strikes us both,”
“yes lewis...when can i see you again then?” you gasp, grinding against this thigh once more
lewis groaned deeply, a guttural sound of pure masculine need, as you breathed his name like a prayer. your obvious desperation only stoked the flames of his own raging desire. he bucked his hips forward, grinding the thick, rigid line of his erection against your quivering stomach. even through the thin barrier of his trousers, you could feel the scorching heat of him, the impressive girth straining against the confines of the fabric.
"soon, my insatiable little minx," he promised darkly, his voice a low, rough rasp edged with barely restrained hunger. "very, very soon." lewis’ grip on your hair tightened possessively as he held your gaze with smouldering intensity. "meet me at the western border of the woods tomorrow night."
lewis captured your lips in a searing, dominating kiss, his tongue plunging deep to claim every inch of your mouth. he poured all his ravenous hunger and dark promises into the passionate embrace, kissing you until your knees went weak and your head spun with dizzying desire. when he finally released you, you were left panting and aching, your lips swollen and tingling from the intensity of his kiss.
"until then," lewis murmured huskily against your kiss-bruised lips, giving your plump bottom lip a sharp, teasing nip. his eyes glinted with mischief and wicked intent. "try not to slip your hand between your thighs too many times while imagining it's me touching you. i know how badly this needy little body craves my attention."
you tilt your head, batting your lashes up at him with wide-eyed innocence even as a faint blush colours your cheeks, “touching myself? what's that, lewis?” your voice coming out breathy and uncertain, belying the molten heat pooling low in your belly at lewis’ heated words and bold touches.
he chuckles darkly at your innocence, shaking his head in amused disbelief. he leans in close, voice lowering to a sinful whisper, “oh you sweet, naive little thing. touching yourself means playing with this pretty pink pussy,” he purrs, cupping your mound possessively, “...and rubbing these soft petals until you're writhing and moaning, begging for release,”
lewis grinds the heel of his palm against your clothed sex, applying delicious pressure, “i know you'll be tempted to do just that, imagining it's my hands on you instead. my fingers filling you, stretching you…”
but he dips his head to nip at your earlobe, tugging it gently with his teeth, “but you'd better not, understand? this greedy cunt belongs to me now,”
you nod eagerly, watching as lewis’ pupils blow out once against with darkened lust. he smirks at your breathy agreement, pleased by your submission. he rewards you with a firm grind of his palm against your core, relishing the needy whimper it elicits.
“until tomorrow night then, my insatiable little fairy,” he growls, voice dripping with dark promise, “dream of me...and try to behave until i can get my hands on you again,”
lewis turns to leave, pausing to look back over his shoulder with a roguish wink, “don't keep me waiting too long, sweetheart. you know how impatient i get...and how thoroughly i punish naughty girls who make me wait,”

Syrup Village, Gecko Islands.
It's been a few days since Buggy's mishap. The days dragged on tediously, with Y/N's head throbbing every time Nami and Zoro argued or Luffy experimented with potential names for their non-existent crew. Therefore, when it was revealed that Nami's boat was gradually sinking, Y/N felt a surge of relief because it meant they needed to navigate towards the nearest island, which they did.
Currently, they found themselves at Syrup Village on Gecko Islands…
The village exuded a quaint charm, with its small, closely-knit community and rustic architecture. Cobbled streets wound through clusters of thatched-roof cottages, each adorned with colourful window boxes brimming with vibrant flowers. The air was filled with the scent of salt from the nearby sea, mingling with the aroma of freshly baked bread from the village bakery.
Children laughed and played along the streets, their cheerful voices carrying on the gentle breeze. Merchants peddled their goods from wooden stalls, offering everything from fresh produce to handmade trinkets. The villagers moved with a relaxed, unhurried pace, greeting one another warmly as they went about their daily routines.
Y/N flashed a charming smile at the baker as she accepted the paper bag of biscuits. "Much appreciated, kind sir."
The baker, a portly man with flour-dusted hands and a warm, ruddy face, beamed back at her. "You're most welcome, young lady. Freshly baked this morning. I hope you enjoy them!"
Y/N's eyes twinkled with mischief. "With a scent this heavenly, I'm sure they'll taste like a slice of paradise. You have a true gift for making hearts flutter."
The baker's cheeks turned a deep magenta, and he chuckled sheepishly.
"You are too kind," he stammered, clearly flustered by Y/N's charm.
Y/N leaned in slightly, her tone conspiratorial. "Oh, but you deserve the recognition, especially when delectable treats are involved."
The baker's eyes widened with surprise, and a shy grin played on his lips. "Well, in that case, I'll have to make sure to bake extra special goodies for you next time."
Y/N gave him a playful wink. “I’ll hold you to that promise. Thank you again, and may your ovens always stay warm and your dough always rise perfectly.”
With a final charming smile, Y/N bid the chuckling baker farewell and sauntered off.
As Y/N walked through the cobbled streets, savoring the sweet treat, the corner of her eye caught a flash of orange. She turned her head slightly and saw Nami approaching, her hair unmistakable in the bright sunlight. Without missing a beat, Nami fell into step beside Y/N, her eyes scanning the surroundings with a practiced precision.
“Found something useful about this town?” Y/N asked, offering the open paper bag of biscuits.
Nami reached into the bag, taking a biscuit as she continued to survey the street. “We’re in luck. This is a ship-building town,” she replied, her voice laced with a hint of satisfaction.
Y/N hummed in acknowledgment, her gaze softening as a group of children darted past them, their laughter echoing through the air. An older woman, likely their grandmother, scolded them gently from a nearby doorstep. Y/N smiled at the scene, thinking that if she weren’t caught up in the whirlwind of adventures with Luffy and the crew, she might have enjoyed staying in a place like this for a while.
“How about you? Found something?” Nami asked, her tone casual but with an undercurrent of curiosity.
Y/N smirked, holding up the half-eaten biscuit. “Apart from these divine biscuits, not much yet. But the villagers are friendly.”
Nami scoffed lightly as she took a bite of her biscuit. “More like naive,” she said, her eyes narrowing slightly. “But that works in our favor since we need to take one of their ships.”
Y/N nodded, her expression thoughtful. “Let’s just hope they don’t notice it missing too soon. This place seems peaceful—I’d rather not bring trouble here.”
Nami glanced at her, a small smirk playing on her lips. “Don’t go soft on me, Y/N.”
Y/N chuckled, shaking her head. “I’m not going soft. Just enjoying the calm before the storm.”
The two continued down the street, their conversation drifting to lighter topics as they made their way through the village until they reached the straw hat Luffy and three swords Zoro.
“Hey! You got us a ship?” Luffy called out as soon as he spotted them, his eyes lighting up with excitement. Then, his gaze zeroed in on the bag of biscuits in Y/N’s hands, practically sparkling with anticipation.
“Working on it. Did you push the sloop out to sea like I told you?” Nami asked, her tone brisk as she kept her focus on their mission.
“Yeah.” Luffy nodded, already diving into the bag and pulling out the last three biscuits. “No Marines are gonna be following us here.”
Y/N’s scowl was immediate, and with a swift hand, she snatched one of the biscuits back from him. “Leave me one.”
“Well, we’re not gonna be here very long. Turns out Syrup Village is known for their shipbuilding. Lots of options,” Nami explained, glancing between them.
“What are we waiting for then?” Luffy asked, already chomping down on his biscuit as he began striding off in the direction both girls had just come from.
Nami sighed, her expression a mix of confusion, frustration and acceptance as she followed after him.
Y/N chuckled softly at their captain’s predictability, but just as she was about to move, the sound of paper tearing made her pause. She turned to see Zoro ripping Buggy’s wanted poster, crumpling it in his hand with a scowl.
“Stupid clown,” Zoro muttered, his tone laced with annoyance.
"Stupid clown indeed," Y/N’s lips twitched into a grin as she gave him a playful pat on the back. “But we did get to wipe that smirk off his painted face. Worth it, don’t you think?”
Zoro’s expression darkened further. “Should’ve cut his dick off,” he grumbled, tossing the crumpled paper to the ground.
Y/N laughed, a light, melodic sound that seemed to ease some of the tension in the air. “Ah, but then what would he have left to make a fool of himself with? Besides, something tells me your swords will have plenty of other targets soon enough, so don't dwell on it, hot shot.”
"For now, how about a little sugar to sweeten that sour mood?” She held up the last biscuit with a teasing wink. “Consider it a token of my endless admiration for your swordsmanship.”
Zoro eyed the biscuit, then Y/N, who continued to grin up at him with that infectious charm. After a moment of regarding her, he sighed and took the treat. “Let’s go then, stupid.”
Y/N gasped in mock offence, placing a hand over her heart. “You wound me, Zoro. But I’ll forgive you since you’re sharing this last biscuit with me.” She snapped off a piece of the treat and popped it into her mouth before Zoro could protest. Shaking her head with a smirk, she quickly caught up with the rest.
The four of them walked through the bustling shipyard, their eyes scanning the area for a suitable vessel. The shipyard was a hive of activity, each corner alive with the sounds and sights of shipbuilding.
Y/N’s gaze roamed over the scene with a mixture of fascination and appreciation. Workers moved with practiced efficiency, their hands expertly crafting the vessels from the ground up. Carpenters were hard at work, sanding wooden planks with smooth, rhythmic strokes, each swipe transforming rough wood into sleek, polished surfaces. Nearby, blacksmiths wielded hammers with precision, shaping red-hot iron into nails and screws. The clanging of metal against metal rang out in a steady rhythm, a stark contrast to the otherwise serene surroundings.
“Look at ’em all,” Luffy said, his eyes wide with fascination as he took in the busy scene.
“How much do these cost?” Zoro wondered aloud, his gaze drifting over the impressive array of vessels.
Y/N let out a scoff, her tone laced with sarcasm. “Oh, a pittance. Just your firstborn, an eye, half a leg, and if we're feeling generous a pint of your finest blood— bargain prices, really.”
Luffy’s excitement seemed to shift into high gear. “Okay, so we need one with a very, very impressive figurehead. At least two… no, three masts! And a really high crow’s nest!”
Nami shot him a look, “We’re not gonna be able to sail a ship anywhere near that size. There’s only four of us.”
Luffy’s enthusiasm remained undeterred. “Four of us right now.”
Y/N chimed in, a playful smirk on her face. "Unless you manage to recruit another weird, desperate soul to help us, that is."
Zoro grunted. “Speak for yourself.”
Both Nami and Y/N rolled their eyes in unison.
Listen, we’re going to need something a little less flashy if we want to sneak out of here,” Nami said firmly, catching Luffy off guard.
The straw hat boy came to a sudden halt, causing the others to stop with him. He turned to Nami, his frown deepening with confusion. “You want to steal a ship?”
“How else did you expect us to get one?” Nami asked her tone a mix of amusement and exasperation.
“I don’t know. But we can’t steal one,” Luffy said with determined finality.
Y/N shrugged her tone a blend of resignation and sympathy. She didn't enjoy the idea of stealing the hard, arduous work of someone but she also understands what it takes to survive. “It’s less about ‘wrong’ and more about ‘what works' because either we get practical or get used to swimming. It’s your call, stud.”
“A ship isn’t just a ship,” Luffy said, determination in his eyes. “It’s part of our crew. We need the perfect one. And we’re going to get it the right way.”
Y/N felt a twinge of sympathy. It was as if he hadn’t quite grasped the harsh realities of the world—or maybe he simply refused to. His optimism was endearing, even if it was a little misguided
“Okay, pitch that to the salesman. I’m sure that’ll win him over,” Nami said, her sarcasm barely masked.
Luffy’s smile widened. “Exactly.” He then started walking off in a random direction, leaving the others to watch him go.
The remaining trio sighed in unison.
“Right over his head, as usual.” Y/N huffs, shaking her head with a wry smile.
“So what are we actually going to do?” Zoro asks
“I’m guessing plan A, right?” Y/N said with a shrug.
With a resigned sigh, Nami nodded. “Find a ship and see how lax the security is around here.”
“Got it,” Zoro replied, his tone reflecting a mix of determination and acceptance.
The three of them set off in the direction Luffy had wandered. After a bit of searching, they finally found him admiring a ship with unrestrained enthusiasm.
“There you are,” Nami said, catching up with the eager boy.
“Guys!” Luffy called out, “I found it. I found our ship!”
Y/N looked up at the vessel he was so enthusiastic about. The first thing that caught her eye was the large figurehead—a jovial ram’s head perched proudly at the prow, its carved eyes gleaming with a friendly, mischievous glint. The ship, though modest in size, radiated a warm, inviting aura. The polished wooden hull, adorned with intricate patterns, was both elegant and whimsical. Y/N couldn’t help but smile; the ship was certainly unique, if a bit quirky. Just like Luffy.
“And this guy will sell it to us,” Luffy said, pointing at a boy with a bandana and a cleaning cloth in his hands.
The trio turned to the so-called salesman. The boy’s expression oscillated between confusion and alarm.
“Uh, wait. What? Uh…” the boy stammered.
“Yeah! The ship, we’ll take it,” Luffy declared with confidence.
“Technically, she’s not for sale,” the boy said slowly, earning a confused “huh?” from Luffy. “And technically, I’m not a salesman.”
“Then what are you doing around here?” Y/N asked, raising an eyebrow.
The boy’s face lit up as he noticed Y/N. He puffed out his chest. “Well, you see, I’m the Chief Technician in charge of encrustation removal and aviary waste eradication.”
Y/N stifled a laugh, her eyes twinkling with amusement. “Ah, I see. A very prestigious title.”
“Encru what?” Luffy asked, looking genuinely puzzled.
“He scrubs barnacles and cleans bird shit,” Zoro explained flatly.
Nami sighed, looking to Luffy. “He can’t help us.”
As they turned to leave, the boy’s voice rang out.
“Wait! Wait! Wait! I can help you,” he called, a hopeful smile spreading across his face. “The owner of this ship is my closest friend in the world.”
“Your friend owns this ship?” Nami asked, clearly skeptical.
“Not just this one. She owns the whole shipyard,” the boy said, his grin widening with a touch of arrogance. “She’s rich, rich.”
“Oh!” Luffy exclaimed, his eyes lighting up.
“I’m sure you could strike a deal with her,” the boy said confidently.
Luffy turned to the group with a hopeful grin. “See?”
Y/N pursed her lips thoughtfully. “I don’t know…”
“Oh, come on, Y/N,” Nami said with an unusually sly smile. “It couldn’t hurt to say hello.”
Y/N glanced at Nami for a second, at her grin, definitely planning something. With a resigned sigh, Y/N nodded with a tight smile. “Alright, let’s go meet this friend of yours and see if we can charm her into giving us a ship.”
The boy beamed, clearly delighted by their willingness to meet his friend. “Great! Follow me. You’re going to love her.”
Usopp, as they had come to learn the boy’s name was, led them to the edge of the village. There, towering above the town, stood a massive mansion that seemed almost out of place amidst the quaint charm of Syrup Village. The elegant structure loomed with an air of grandeur, its pristine walls and manicured gardens hinting at the wealth of its owner.
"I’ve never seen a house this big before," Luffy said gazing at the mansion.
"Impressive, right?" Usopp grins, and he walks backwards to talk to them a skip on his step as he continues, "Kaya’s given me an open invitation to drop by anytime I want."
"All of this just for one person?" Luffy asked, puzzled.
Usopp leans against the well, "Well, she lives here with her butler and a few other staff."
Y/N whistled as she peered down the dry well, a playful smirk on her lips. "When I’m famous, I’ll need a place like thisno, scratch that. Bigger, with a well so deep you could drop your problems in it and never hear them hit the bottom."
Y/N started to head toward the front door but was stopped by a hand on her shoulder, gently guiding her away. "Errr—not that way," Usopp said, releasing her as he led them toward a lush garden and… a pond?
Luffy, ever curious and clueless, asked, "So if you have an invitation, why are we going around the back way?"
"I never use the front entrance." Y/N frowns as she watched the boy leap across the large, floating plants. "This is more of a VIP entrance reserved for special guests."
In the short time of knowing Usopp, Y/N knew he had a knack for stretching the truth, but she hoped that at least this time, there was some truth to it. If he knew another way into the manor, he must've been here before. Plus, the way he talked about Kaya, the girl who lived there, made it seem like he knew her personally.
Against her better judgment, Y/N hopped onto one of the large plants. It was surprisingly fun.
Just as she landed on another plant, Usopp suddenly halted. "Oops. You know, there’s actually a more exclusive entrance this way."
Y/N looked up just in time to see a burly butler throw something with pinpoint precision, landing between Usopp’s feet, causing him to gasp.
"What the hell are you doing here, Usopp?" the butler growled, advancing toward them. Behind him was a blue-haired woman—another maid, Y/N assumed—expertly swinging a broom like a weapon.
Y/N couldn’t help but think, That’s... odd. These butlers seem way too familiar with weapons.
"Buchi, buddy, uh, Kaya’s expecting me," Usopp said, voice urgent.
The butler, Buchi, hissed, echoing Y/N’s thoughts. "Another one of your lies."
The butler grabbed hold of Usopp's shirt, pulling him closer as he hissed, "You ain't welcome here, and you know it."
Usopp, despite being in a tight spot, kept his carefree demeanour. "I know nothing of the sort," he said, unfazed, if a little nervous. "Im here to give Kaya an extra-special gift."
Y/N couldn’t help but feel a flicker of amusement at Usopp’s audacity, even in such a tense situation.
Suddenly, like a beam of light cutting through the tension, a girl's voice rang out. "Usopp!"
From deeper in the garden, a young girl—no older than the group—emerged, leaning on another butler for support. Y/N could tell he was likely the head butler, judging by how the other two straightened up immediately. Luffy, Y/N, Nami, and Zoro exchanged glances filled with curiosity and confusion, particularly at the realization that Kaya, the girl of the house, actually knew Usopp.
With ash-blonde hair and wearing a soft pink dress, Kaya beamed at Usopp with pure happiness. "What a wonderful surprise!"
"Hmm!" Usopp grinned victoriously, brushing off Buchi's hands as he confidently walked toward her. "Kaya!"
"Happy birthday," he said once he was close enough.
Kaya’s smile was shy but full of admiration. "You remembered."
"Of course I did."
The head butler, wearing glasses and white gloves, cleared his throat sharply. "Usopp, we've discussed this. You musn't show up unannounced."
"Nonsense, Klahadore," Kaya quickly interjected, giving Usopp an encouraging smile. "Have you come to tell me another story? I do love hearing about your adventures."
"I'll do you one better," Usopp replied, turning toward Y/N, Luffy, Nami, and Zoro, and dramatically gesturing toward them. "I brought some of my crew."
Y/N’s eyebrow twitched in confusion.
Luffy glanced at Zoro, Nami, and Y/N, all wearing the same bewildered expression. "Is he talking about us?"
Kaya, however, does not seem to notice it and smiles at the four. "It’s so nice to meet you. You all must stay for dinner."
Klahadore’s eyes darted to Kaya, his tone instantly concerned, if a little anoyed. "Miss Kaya, it is a bit last minute. I’m afraid the kitchen hasn’t prepared for any extra guests."
From beides her, Luffy deflated.
"Please, Klahadore," Kaya pleaded, her voice sweet as she gave him a pout. "It’s my birthday. Can’t be too much trouble, can it?"
"Of course, Miss Kaya," Seems that the girl's pout did its work the butler didn't even hesitate this time around. "Anything for you."
Luffy perked right back up. "All right! So, when do we eat?"
Without missing a beat, Klahadore replied, "You don’t. Not dressed like that."
Y/N’s expression soured slightly as she glanced down at her outfit. It wasn’t the fanciest, sure, but she certainly didn’t think she looked bad. She scoffed, crossing her arms. "Rude."
"Sham, please show Usopp and his… friends to the guest suites," Klahadore instructed. The blue-haired woman stepped forward at his command. "You will all bathe and change before dinner," he added, looking back at the group.
Sham gave a curt nod and led the way inside the mansion, the others following.
"A bath does sound nice," Nami said, smiling as she followed Luffy, who skipped along behind Sham.
Usopp followed next, but Zoro and Y/N lingered—each for different reasons. Zoro’s gaze lingered on Klahadore with a hint of suspicion, while Y/N hesitated for a different motive. She wanted to charm the birthday girl. After all, as Usopp had demonstrated, having powerful friends never hurt.
With a dazzling smile, Y/N sauntered over to Kaya and the ever-watchful Klahadore, their gazes snapping to her in unison. Undeterred, she tilted her head slightly, letting a playful glint appear in her eyes as she spoke.
"Well, I figured after such a warm welcome," Y/N said with a subtle wink, glancing at the butlers before focusing on Kaya, "it’d be rude of me not to introduce myself properly." She extended her hand gracefully. "Y/N, at your service. And a very happy birthday to you! If I’d known, I’d have brought a gift—or at least a balloon or two."
Kaya blinked, caught off guard for a moment before a giggle escaped her. "Oh, thank you! That’s very kind of you."
Y/N flashed a grin. "Kindness comes naturally when I’m around people as lovely as you." Her eyes darted toward Klahadore, her voice dropping playfully.
"Though, if I’d known we were in for such a grand entrance, I might’ve brought a sword too. Seems like that’s part of the dress code around here." She smirked at the butler’s stiff posture, her words teasing but never crossing the line into disrespect.
Kaya blushed slightly, clearly charmed. "I’m so glad you could all join. Please, don’t worry about a gift—your company is enough."
Y/N placed a hand on her chest, feigning relief. "Thank the stars. I’m a terrible shopper, anyway. Though, if we ever need to sneak into a party again, Usopp and I will make a fabulous team."
Even Klahadore seemed momentarily at a loss for words, while Kaya laughed brightly. It was a small victory, but one Y/N could savor as she followed the rest of the group, already making mental notes on how to further charm the household.
But suddenly, Kaya began to cough, causing Y/N's grin to fade into a look of concern. It was then that she noticed just how pale and sickly the girl appeared—gnarly, in fact. Kaya’s cheeks were flushed, and her eyes looked a bit too bright, as if she were fighting something beneath the surface.
"Miss Kaya, we should head inside so I can get you some tea," Klahadore said, still holding into the girl.
Y/N stepped closer, her tone gentle but firm. "Is there anything I can do to help? I’m no healer, but I’ve seen a thing or two when it comes to health."
Kaya shook her head, trying to muster a reassuring smile, but it fell flat. "I’ll be fine. Just... need some tea."
"That you do,” Klahadore remarked, his voice neutral but laced with a hint of reluctant acknowledgment as he gently guided Kaya back toward the mansion. “Let us take our leave then.”
As they moved, Klahadore glanced back at Y/N, his voice cold professionalism. “Please, Miss Y/N, follow your friends to the guest suites and make yourself presentable for dinner.”
Y/N raised an eyebrow at his words but kept her composure, offering a charming smile. “Of course, wouldn’t want to miss the chance to freshen up. After all, first impressions are everything.”
She gave a playful wink before turning on her heel, but not before throwing a quick glance at Kaya, silently promising to check on her later.
After a thorough, very refreshing, and much-needed wash, Y/N made her way to the closet, expecting a modest room with a few spare garments and maybe some accessories to choose from. But as soon as she opened the door, her jaw nearly hit the floor.
The ‘closet’ was an entire room—no, a boutique—bursting at the seams with every kind of clothing imaginable. Silks, satins, velvets, lace, and fabrics she couldn’t even name filled the racks. Gowns, tunics, trousers, and dresses in every color she could dream of. There were shelves dedicated to shoes, from the dainty to the daring, and accessories sparkling like stars under soft light. It was basically the heaven of clothing, and Y/N was living for it.
Her eyes gleamed as she stepped inside, fingers grazing the fabrics, a giddy smile creeping onto her face.
“Oh, I could get used to this…” she muttered, practically vibrating with excitement. She didn’t know where to begin—was it the shoes, the gowns, or that ridiculously luxurious-looking coat hanging in the corner?
However, as the rest of her group entered the ‘closet,’ it became clear that Y/N was the only one genuinely enjoying the experience.
“Why would anyone even need this many clothes?” Luffy asked, his voice echoing off the lavishly adorned walls as Y/N held up yet another dress to inspect.
Nami, behind a divider, was quick to respond. “It’s not about need with these people; it’s about want.”
“What are we even supposed to wear?” Luffy asked, looking utterly baffled as he peered at the colorful array of garments.
Y/N grinned, feeling a spark of mischief. “Literally anything you want, stud. And I say we should take advantage of it because I hardly think you’ll wear wear things this nice in the future.”
She held up a black vest, similar to the ones he usually wears, playfully placing it over his chest and winked. “This one might bring out those dreamy eyes of yours.”
Luffy blinked, momentarily processing, before breaking into a wide, goofy grin. “You really think so?”
“Absolutely!“ Y/N chuckled, giving him a playful nudge. “You could be the life of the party.”
Nami stepped out from behind the divider, her figure adorned in a classic dark blue dress. She struck a pose, looking expectantly at Luffy and Y/N. “Well? What do you think?”
“You look like Nami,” Luffy shrugged, offering a response that did little to boost her confidence.
Nami’s lips pursed in irritation, and she turned to Y/N for a second opinion. Y/N shook her head. “Not your style, pumpkin. We need something that really pops!”
“Hey, Zoro!” Luffy called out, causing Y/N to glance toward the entrance.
Zoro entered, his usual indifference etched on his face. Clad in a bathrobe and holding his three swords, he scanned the room with a nonchalant air.
“What are you gonna wear?” Luffy asked, curiosity evident in his tone.
“Something black,” Zoro replied flatly as he moved deeper into the room.
“How edgy,” Nami muttered sarcastically from behind the divider.
“I don’t know, I reckon I quite like black on him,” Y/N said, slipping into a pretty yellow dress that shimmered in the light.
“Hey, does that butler seem familiar to you guys?” Zoro asked, his gaze drifting toward the door.
Nami shot back, “Yeah, I think he was at the last dinner party I attended.”
“I swear I’ve seen him somewhere,” Zoro continued, taking a seat and placing his swords on the ground beside him.
Nami emerged again, now in another lackluster dress. “How’s this?”
Luffy shrugged, “Still Nami.”
“I said I’m wearing black,” Zoro reiterated, his expression unchanged.
“I hate you guys,” Nami deadpanned.
“Y’know, Zoro, now that you mention it, he does seem oddly familiar,” Y/N chimed in, stepping out from another divider in her eye-catching yellow dress. She looked at Nami and shook her head. “No, baby. That just won’t do. We need something that’ll make a statement —not blend into the wallpaper!”
“You’re all annoying,” Nami huffs as she started to look through the racks of clothes.
With newfound energy, Y/N began rifling through the dresses again, determined to find the perfect outfit for Nami. “Let’s find you something that’ll turn heads!”
"Sadly, Y/N, we're not all you," Nami muttered, half-joking as she skimmed through the rows of clothes.
Y/N gave a playful smirk, flicking through the garments with ease. "Well, darling, not everyone can have my impeccable taste."
As they continued to browse, Luffy wandered aimlessly around the room, his eyes darting from the towering shelves to the endless racks of extravagant outfits. “I kind of feel bad for Kaya,” he said, almost absentmindedly. “All this stuff. All this space. It’s gotta make a person feel… lonely.”
Y/N paused, her hand hovering over a dress. Luffy's innocent observation hung in the air, tugging at a thread of empathy that she hadn’t quite expected to feel in that moment.
"He's got a point," she said softly, glancing around at the grandeur that suddenly felt a bit... empty. "Having all these nice things doesn’t mean much if you don’t have anyone to share it with."
Nami crossed her arms, her tone dry. "Rich people don’t have the same emotions we do. This stuff doesn’t make her feel lonely. It makes her feel important."
Y/N pursed her lips thoughtfully, still not quite buying Nami’s take. Kaya hadn’t struck her as the type to relish in wealth or power, but then again, she’d only just met the girl. “Hmm,” she hummed noncommittally, pulling a sleek red dress off the rack. "Maybe… but she didn’t seem like the ‘money equals importance’ type."
"Well, Usopp likes her," Luffy chimed in, ever the optimist. "And she invited us to dinner!" His eyes sparkled at the mention of food, an unmistakable grin spreading across his face. "I’m sure we can work out a way to get that ship."
Nami didn’t even glance up, still rifling through the endless garments. "No way. Rich people don’t stay rich by giving things away."
Y/N shrugged, holding the dress up to regard it. "She might."
Nami mumbled under her breath, “Hardly.”
But Luffy’s grin only widened as he turned to Nami with a glint in his eyes. "You want to bet?"
That caught Nami’s attention. She stopped mid-search and eyed him with interest. "What are the terms?"
Luffy stepped forward, confident as ever. "I bet I can convince Kaya to give us that ship."
Nami raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "And when you can’t?"
Luffy paused for just a second before answering, "We go with your plan. Steal one and move on."
Nami grinned, extending her hand. "You’re on."
Y/N rolled her eyes dramatically, draping the red dress over her arm. "Oh, goodie. A gentleman’s wager. How refined." She glanced between them with a playful smirk. "I’d start polishing my silver tongue if I were you, Stud."
Nami pulled out another shirt, giving it a brief glance before casually tossing it at Zoro. He caught it effortlessly and looked it over with his usual deadpan expression.
"Nice," Zoro muttered, as if mildly impressed, but not overly excited.
Nami barely had time to react before Y/N swept in like a whirlwind, red dress in hand and that signature mischievous grin plastered across her face. With a teasing flourish, Y/N wiggled the dress toward her like it was the Holy Grail.
"Found something for ya, pumpkin," she teased, voice dripping with playful charm.
Nami raised an eyebrow, eyeing the dress skeptically. "Red? Really?"
"Trust me," Y/N winked, grabbing Nami’s hand and practically dragging her behind the room divider. She positioned her in front of the mirror, standing behind her and holding the dress up to Nami’s frame. The contrast of the vibrant red against Nami’s skin made Y/N’s grin widen.
"See?" Y/N purred, her voice dipping into a whisper as she met Nami's gaze in the reflection. "This dress is the perfect blend of sultry and sophisticated—just like you, Nami. It’ll hug your curves in all the right places and make you look utterly irresistible." She flashed a knowing smile, adding, "Trust me, It’ll make you look like a million Berri."
Nami’s lips twitched, trying and failing to hide a smile. "You're dangerous."
Y/N grinned wider, giving Nami a playful nudge. "Dangerously right, you mean."
Nami, after a moment of staring at Y/N in the reflection, looked away, her gaze darting as if she’d just been caught in a secret. An uncharacteristic hint of pink dusted her cheeks as she took the dress from Y/N. "Fine, whatever. I’ll wear it,"
“Great!” Y/N exclaimed, her grin blooming into a triumphant beam, practically radiating delight. With Nami set, she turned back to the closet, her eyes dancing over the racks like a kid in a candy store. ‘Now, it’s time for me to find something…’
At long last, the four were dressed to the nines, gathered in the grand foyer, waiting for Kaya. Usopp and Luffy were thoroughly enjoying the appetizers, both looking like kids in a candy store as they devoured the tiny, fancy bites with gusto.
Nami, ever the strategist, was busy chatting up Merry, the man who handled Kaya’s finances. He had a peculiar appearance—his hair resembling a lamb’s fleece with two small horns poking through, making him look as though he’d just wandered off a pastoral scene. Despite the odd look,
Zoro, in true Zoro fashion, had found the comfiest spot in the room—a plush sofa—and settled in with a glass of fruity cocktail, his face unreadable as always. He gave off the impression of someone who had no interest in the opulence around him.
Y/N, with her cocktail in hand, decided to join the swordsman, her emerald dress flowing elegantly as she took a seat beside him.
"So, you look... almost civilized," she teased with a playful smirk, swirling her drink as she settled in. "I think that fruity cocktail’s working wonders for your edge."
Zoro scoffed, glancing at her from the corner of his eye. "Don’t get used to it."
Y/N chuckled, taking a sip of her drink. "Wouldn’t dream of it, hotshot. Though I gotta say, you look unsurprisingly handsome. You might even be mistaken for a gentleman if you stay quiet long enough."
Zoro raised an eyebrow, leaning back into the sofa with an amused grunt. "I’ll take that as an insult." He watched her out of the corner of his eye before adding, "You’re not so bad yourself. That dress looks... expensive."
"Why, thank you, Zoro." Y/N winked at him. "It’s called ‘style'. I wouldn’t expect you to understand, but you wear black with enough attitude that I suppose it evens out."
He gave a small chuckle, which was about the closest to a compliment she'd expect from him. The two sat there in a comfortable silence for a moment, watching the others.
"Think this dinner’s going to be as fancy as all this?" Y/N asked, glancing around the opulent surroundings.
Zoro shrugged, taking another sip. "Doesn’t matter to me as long as the food’s good. Fancy or not, it all goes down the same way."
Y/N laughed, raising her glass in agreement. "I’ll drink to that."
A moment later, the soft clearing of a throat at the top of the stairs made the room fall silent. Klahadore, ever the picture of formality, stood tall as he announced, "May I present... Miss Kaya."
All eyes turned upward as Kaya appeared, gracefully descending the stairs with Klahadore’s arm for support. She was dressed in a delicate yellow gown adorned with subtle dots, her face glowing with a wide, genuine smile—one that made Y/N smile as well, though she wasn’t quite sure why. Maybe it was the warmth of the moment or the way Kaya's joy seemed to radiate outwards.
At the bottom of the stairs, Merry stepped forward to meet her. Offering his arm with a soft smile, he said, "Kaya, you look absolutely radiant."
Kaya's smile brightened as she took his arm with familiarity. "Merry, I’m so glad you could make it."
"This is a milestone I wouldn’t miss for the world," Merry replied warmly as they made their way down the last few steps. "Your parents would be so proud."
Kaya’s gaze softened at the mention of her parents, but her expression didn’t falter. She turned toward Nami, who stood somewhat awkwardly nearby. "Nami, I love that dress on you."
"Thanks," Nami responded, though her tone was a bit stiffer than usual.
Kaya gently touched the fabric of the dress, her voice soft with nostalgia."It belonged to my mother. It was one of her favourites."
Nami's eyes widened, clearly caught off guard by the sentiment. She started to stumble over an apology, "Oh, I’m sorry. I —"
Kaya interrupted with a kind smile, shaking her head. "Not at all. I’m sure she would agree it suits you splendidly."
Y/N stepped in at that moment, smoothly saving Nami from the awkward tension. With a bright smile, she looked at Kaya. "That she does! And as for you, Kaya—you look absolutely wonderful. Like you just stepped out of a fairytale."
Kaya’s cheeks flushed lightly at the compliment, and she gave a shy smile. "Thank you, Y/N. You’re too kind."
"Nonsense," Y/N waved her hand, "just calling it like I see it. A beautiful dress for a beautiful girl and a beautiful evening, wouldn’t you agree?"
Kaya’s smile softened, clearly touched by Y/N's warmth, as Merry turned to tell Kaya something about the transfer of ownership of the shipyard. Meanwhile, Nami shot Y/N a grateful look, while Y/N simply gave a little playful shrug, as if to say, What can I say? It’s a gift.
"Merry, dear friend, it's always business with you," Klahadore cut in, his voice smooth but firm. Merry nodded, somewhat reluctantly, as if he'd been caught in the middle of a moment. Klahadore’s arm swept elegantly toward the dining room. "Tonight is about celebration. Shall we all move to the dining room?"
"Yes!" Luffy’s voice boomed across the room, his face lighting up with pure excitement. "Oh! Oh, I’m so ready for this!"
Y/N chuckled under her breath at Luffy’s enthusiasm, glancing sideways at Nami. "You’d think he’s never had a meal before."
As the group began to file into the elegantly decorated dining room, Y/N couldn't help but admire the lavish setup. The long table was adorned with pristine white linens and flickering candles, casting a warm glow over the room.
Soon, they were indulging in the delicious spread laid out before them. The table was a feast for the eyes, adorned with an array of vibrant dishes that seemed to dance with colour. Y/N couldn't help but let out a satisfied sigh as she took her first bite of a creamy pasta dish, the flavours bursting on her palate.
"I’d love to try the fish tonight," Kaya said, glancing at Sham, the maid, who was holding a platter of food.
But before she could reach for it, Klahadore interjected, "I’m sorry, Miss Kaya, but that is not possible."
Kaya’s smile faltered, and Y/N couldn’t help but frown at the butler’s sharp tone as she took a slow sip of her wine, her eyes narrowing slightly.
"Maybe just a small piece?" Kaya asked, her voice tinged with hope.
The butler remained unyielding, unlike earlier in the day. "Now, you know that certain foods can affect your constitution," he replied, gesturing for the plump butler to step forward. "Here, Buchi has prepared your special soup."
Kaya’s face fell, despite her attempts to hide her disappointment as the bland soup was placed in front of her.
"Kaya, it’s your birthday," Nami chimed in with a hint of irritation. "You should be able to enjoy whatever you like."
"Miss Kaya’s medical condition necessitates that I closely monitor her dietary needs," Klahadore responded curtly, addressing Nami as if she were overstepping.
Y/N’s brow furrowed as she leaned back in her chair, wine glass poised. Her tone was laced with mild sarcasm. "Ah, I see. So you manage her plate… and her voice now, too?"
Luffy, blissfully unaware of the awkwardness building at the table, raised his hand enthusiastically. "I’ll take her fish!"
"Luffy…" Y/N mumbled under her breath, shaking her head softly as if to reign in his bluntness.
Usopp, sensing the awkwardness, piped up nervously while shooting a wary glance at Klahadore. "Luffy, isn’t there something that you wanted to talk to Kaya about?"
"Oh, yes!" Luffy’s face lit up as he turned back to Kaya. "Usopp told me you own the whole shipyard!"
Kaya smiled warmly, correcting him gently. "Well, actually, my parents founded the shipyard. Merry’s been running the business since… well, since they passed," She gestured towards Merry, who lifted his glass in quiet acknowledgement.
"But all of that is about to change," Kaya added, her eyes flicking to Usopp with a soft, meaningful glance. "Tonight, at midnight, I’ll officially become the sole owner."
"Ah. Well, that’s great, because we want to buy a ship from you," Luffy announced, his grin wide and infectious.
Kaya raised an eyebrow, her curiosity piqued. "I see," she replied, her smile growing. "Usopp mentioned that you’re sailors."
"Nope, not sailors," Luffy corrected quickly, his grin widening. And before Y/N could stop him, he dropped the bombshell. "We’re pirates."
The room seemed to freeze. The air became thick with tension as Usopp nearly choked on his drink, sputtering. Every guest at the table turned to look at Luffy in stunned silence—none more exasperated than Nami, who shot him a look that screamed, Seriously?
Y/N let out a long, resigned sigh, pinching the bridge of her nose. "This is going to be a disaster," she muttered, feeling the weight of impending chaos.
Zoro, unfazed, took a slow sip from his cup and muttered under his breath, "This ought to be good."
"Pirates?" Kaya echoed, her eyes wide with a mix of disbelief and intrigue.
"Yep!" Luffy replied with unrestrained enthusiasm, oblivious to the looks of Nami, Y/N, and Zoro. "We haven’t sailed together for long, but we’ve already defeated an evil clown, raided a Marine base, and taken down a captain with an axe for a hand."
Kaya’s smile widened as she turned to Usopp. "These sound a lot like your adventures, Usopp."
"Yeah, that’s…" Usopp chuckled nervously, stealing a glance at Luffy. "That’s crazy."
"Oh yeah. And we’re just getting started!" Luffy declared, suddenly seizing his wine glass. In an impulsive burst of enthusiasm, he hopped up onto the dining table, eliciting gasps of shock from the guests.
Klahadore’s face darkened with disapproval as he bristled at Luffy’s antics. "What on earth are you doing? Get down from there at once!"
But Luffy, undeterred and brimming with enthusiasm, continued to hold his glass high. "Being a pirate has been my dream for as long as I can remember, and now I’m finally making it a reality!" He stepped closer to Kaya, completely ignoring the bewildered looks from the guests. "We’re heading out to the Grand Line, where even more adventures await us. And at the end of the journey, I’m gonna find the ultimate treasure, the One Piece, and become King of the Pirates!" With a triumphant grin, he took a hearty sip of his wine, completely unfazed by the chaos he was stirring.
He stepped closer to Kaya, completely ignoring the bewildered looks from the rest.
Y/N couldn’t help but chuckle softly, shaking her head as she watched Luffy’s unyielding spirit shine through. "Well, at least he’s got ambition,"
Kaya gazed up at Luffy, wide-eyed. "You're serious?"
Luffy slammed back the remainder of his wine, then held out the empty glass to Klahadore, who sneered but reluctantly took it. Leaning closer to Kaya, Luffy gripped her shoulders with earnest enthusiasm. "Kaya, you have a beautiful ship out there—a caravel with a sheep figurehead. It spoke to me." Zoro and Nami exchanged exasperated glances, while Y/N couldn't help but stifle a laugh at the sheer audacity of it all.
"That’s the ship we need to follow our dreams," Luffy continued, his eyes shining with determination. "I promise you, we’ll take care of it. We’ll maintain it and treat it like any other member of our crew, because a ship is also a home."
"That will be quite enough!" Klahadore snapped, stepping in beside Kaya with an air of authority. "I should’ve known Usopp would bring riffraff to our doorstep."
"Klahadore, it’s okay. I..." Kaya began, trying to defuse the tension, but a sudden coughing fit interrupted her.
"Now look what you’ve done. You’ve upset Miss Kaya!" Klahadore accused, his irritation palpable. "All of you, out of this house at once!"
Kaya, ever the kind-hearted soul, shook her head weakly, managing to breathe out, "No. It’s late. Let them stay the night."
"As you wish, Miss Kaya," Klahadore relented, though his tone was less than pleased. He assisted her out of the chair and led her from the room, adding, "But they are out first thing in the morning."
"That went pretty well," Luffy remarked as the door clicked shut behind Klahadore, leaving the five of them in the cosy dimness of the room. "Don’t you think?"
Y/N hums before gulping down the rest of her wine. "sure"
Hours later, Y/N lay wide awake, her bladder full and demanding release. She couldn’t help but scoff at the absurdity of it all—a mansion this grand and yet no loo in her room?
Finally deciding to venture out, she crept down the hallway, but instead of finding a bathroom, she stumbled upon a certain orange-haired girl in a curious sight: Nami was stuffing shiny treasures into a pillowcase.
"What are you, the reverse Father Christmas?" Y/N quipped, leaning against the doorframe with a playful smirk.
Nami, startled by the sudden voice, whipped her head around, eyes wide. "Shit, Y/N! You scared me! What are you doing up?"
Y/N shrugged, crossing her arms casually. "You know, just on a midnight quest for a loo. But clearly, I found something far more interesting."
Nami huffed, returning to her task with quick hands. "I’m just borrowing. Besides, they’re not going to notice a few missing trinkets."
"Oh, so you’re playing the long game, huh? Borrow now, return... never?" Y/N raised an eyebrow, amusement dancing in her eyes. "If you get caught, I’m not covering for you."
Nami shrugged, a cheeky grin spreading across her face as she continued to stuff the shiny trinkets into her pillowcase. "Who says I’ll get caught? I'm a master of stealth."
"Right, because sneaking around in the middle of the night with a pillowcase full of stolen goods is such a subtle move," Y/N teased, closing her door and following Nami.
Nami paused for a moment, glancing around to ensure they were still alone. "These are just sitting here collecting dust. No one will miss them."
Y/N chuckled, shaking her head in mock disbelief. "You do realize you’re robbing from a girl who just wanted to celebrate her birthday, right?"
"Details, details," Nami waved dismissively, her eyes gleaming with mischief. "Besides, it’s not like I’m taking anything valuable… yet."
Y/N smirked, her curiosity piqued. "Okay, but you--"
They suddenly heard footsteps approaching, echoing through the vast halls of the house.
Nami’s eyes widened in panic as she quickly shut the cabinet door "Crap!"
“Quick, come on!” Y/N urged, pulling Nami toward the nearest door. She flung it open and they slipped inside a dark room.
Just as they were about to catch their breath and survey their surroundings, Kaya’s voice startled them.
“Y/N?… Nami?” The lights flicked on, illuminating the room.
Both girls gasped in surprise, and Nami hurriedly concealed the pillowcase behind her back.
“What are you two doing? Is everything okay?” Kaya asked, still unaware of their antics.
"Oh, Kaya!" Y/N exclaimed, feigning a chuckle. "Sorry to disturb your beauty sleep! This house is like a maze, and I couldn't find the loo. So naturally, I enlisted Nami's expert navigating skills, right, Nami?"
"Yeah, we just got a bit turned around," Nami added, trying to sound casual.
Kaya’s gaze drifted behind Nami, landing on the clearly bulging pillowcase. She raised an eyebrow, puzzled. "With a pillowcase?"
Feeling her cheeks heat up, Y/N pursed her lips in embarrassment.
"So… you really are pirates after all," Kaya said, rising from her bed. Her demeanour was calm, not angry or frightened.
"No," Y/N quickly denied.
"I hate pirates," Nami chimed in, her tone dripping with disdain. "But I am who I am," She declared, setting the pillowcase down defiantly. "And I won’t apologize for it."
Y/N pursed her lips and sighed, taking a seat on the window sofa. "Can’t put it much better than that."
Kaya let out a light chuckle as she settled beside Y/N. "To be honest, I find some of the decor to be a bit gaudy. I’d prefer to donate it to charity."
Nami bristled at that. "We’re not charity."
/N waved her hand dismissively. "Relax, Pumpkin. I’m sure she didn’t mean it that way, right?"
Kaya quickly shook her head. "No, of course not. I just think, what’s the point of having so much if you can’t share it with others? Like those in need—family... friends."
"So we’re friends now?" Nami asked, raising an eyebrow.
Y/N scoffed and rolled her eyes. "Of course we are."
Nami turned to Y/N, motioning toward Kaya. "But she doesn't even know me!"
Kaya shrugs thoughtfully. "Usopp and Y/N do, and that’s a start.
Nami frowned slightly, but Y/N patted the space beside her with a playful grin. "Come on, Pumpkin, let's bond."
Nami rolled her eyes at Y/N's antics but eventually settled down next to her. "So what do we do now? Have a sleepover? Do each other’s makeup?"
Y/N smirked, leaning closer. "Only if you promise to let me go wild with the glitter. We can start with—" Y/N began, but was interrupted by Kaya's coughing.
"Kaya, are you okay?" Nami asked, concern etching her features.
Y/N placed a hand on Kaya's back. "Should I get you some water or something?"
Kaya stopped coughing and looked at the girls, shaking her head. "Not you too."
"What?" Y/N frowned in confusion, sharing a puzzled glance with Nami.
Kaya sighed. "Everyone’s so careful around me. Like one wrong move and I’ll break." She looked between the girls. "I don’t want your pity."
"Well, you won’t get it then," Nami said, with a small grin.
"No pity here, just friendship," Y/N shrugged, a teasing smile creeping onto her face. "And as friends, you ought to tell us what is going on between you and Usoppppp."
"Is he your boyfriend?" Nami grins.
"Oh. Um…" Kaya chuckled, glancing between the girls. "Usopp and I? No, no. We’ve known each other for years. Ever since his mother passed away, he didn’t have anyone, so my parents gave him a job at the shipyard." Her smile grew a little wider as she continued, a faint blush creeping onto her cheeks. "He likes to come around and tell me all about his brave exploits and grand adventures. And the truth is, they make me feel better."
Y/N leaned in, a teasing grin on her face. "So, it’s like Usopp is your personal bard, spinning tales to lift your spirits? I can see how that’d be comforting."
Kaya chuckles, "After my parents... he was able to make me smile again."
"Your parents, what happened to them?" Nami asked, her voice softening.
Kaya’s eyes instantly glistened with unshed tears, and Y/N could see this was a sensitive subject. "They, um… They died at sea. After all these years, it still takes my breath away. I couldn’t even go through their belongings. Just… locked up the memories in the East Wing, where their bedroom was."
"I’m so sorry," Nami said softly, echoing Y/N's thoughts. She understood the weight of loss, grief, and the pain that lingered.
"Have you ever lost anyone close to you?" Kaya inquired, her gaze searching.
"No," Nami replied, her voice steady but filled with empathy.
Y/N paused for a moment, her heart heavy. "Yes," she said softly.
Y/N and Kaya shared a look of understanding, a silent acknowledgement of their shared pain. The bond of loss wove them closer together in that quiet moment, as they realized they were not alone in their experiences.
Kaya, after a moment of quiet, turned to Nami with a small smile. "Well, I’m jealous of you, Nami."
Nami scoffed, her eyebrow raised. "Said the rich girl."
Kaya chuckled at the response, shaking her head before looking directly at her. "You’re not very good at this friends thing, are you?"
Y/N grinned at the exchange, nudging Nami playfully. "She’s a tough nut to crack, but trust me, she’s definitely worth it."
The three of them shared a laugh, the tension lifting as they bonded in their own quirky way.
Kaya let out a soft yawn, clearly indicating how late it had gotten. Y/N smirked, her eyes glinting with playful amusement. "Need your beauty sleep, princess?"
Kaya chuckled lightly, shaking her head. "I suppose I do," she admitted, rubbing her eyes. "Though I’m not sure how much help it’ll be."
"Trust me," Y/N grinned, "you're already glowing."
Nami rolled her eyes, but even she smiled a little at Y/N’s cheeky comment. "We should get going though,"
Y/N stood up, stretching a bit before nodding. "That we should. I still need a loo."
Kaya chuckled, pointing down the hall. "Down the hall on the left."
As she made her way to her bed, Kaya added, "Why don’t you two join me for breakfast tomorrow? Your friends too. We can discuss a deal for the caravel."
"Yeah, that’ll be great." Y/N smiled, starting to walk away, but she paused when Nami spoke again.
"This may not be my place," Nami said, glancing back at Kaya, "but don’t let Klahadore or anyone run your life. You’re stronger than you think."
Kaya smiled softly at the sentiment. "I appreciate that."
"Good night, Nami, Y/N," she called out as she settled under her blankets.
"Good night," Nami replied with a small smile.
"Night, Kaya," Y/N added with a wink.
As they reached the door, Kaya called after them with a grin, "Don’t forget your pillow."
Nami took the pillowcase as she, Kaya and Y/N chuckled softly. Once they were outside the room, Nami halted and pulled something out of the pillowcase—a small box of some sort—and placed it on a nearby table. Y/N grinned at her, clearly amused.
Nami noticed the grin and rolled her eyes. "What?" she asked, her tone exasperated.
Y/N shrugged, still smiling. “Funny how a little girl talk can literally change people.”
“Shut up,” Nami muttered, giving Y/N a playful push. “Besides, Kaya’s just an exception.”
Y/N laughed, her teasing grin only growing wider. "Sure, pumpkin, whatever you say. How about you and I go for a midnight snack?"
"I could eat," Nami shrugs aimlessly.
"Right, you go find the kitchen while I find the loo because I'm about to explode," Y/N told the girls she was already on her way to the bathroom.
Nami shook her head with a smirk. “Alright, see you in the kitchen—if I don’t get lost first.”
"Shut up,"
After using the fancy loo, Y/N strolled into the kitchen, her usual playful grin in place. "Can you believe they have hyacinth-scented soap here? I mean, if you're going to steal something, might as well go for—"
Her words came to an abrupt halt when she noticed it wasn’t Nami in the kitchen. No, standing there were the butlers—Klahadore, Buchi, and the maid, Sham. And on the table, laid out unconscious, was Luffy.
Y/N's heart skipped a beat as she took in the scene. Klahadore turned slowly toward her, his expression cold and calculating.
“Well, it seems we have an unexpected guest,” Klahadore said with a chilling smile, the air growing tense.
"Shit," Y/N muttered under her breath, instinctively taking a step back. Her heart raced as she quickly realized she had walked straight into something dangerous. It didn’t take a genius to know the butlers were up to no good.
"Now, now," Klahadore cooed, "there’s no need to make a fuss."
"Too late for that," Y/N shot him a defiant look before bolting for the door.
However, Y/N didn’t make it far. Just as she turned to run, Klahadore seemed to teleport, appearing in front of her in an instant.
She gasped, heart pounding as she spun back around, desperate to escape. But before she could even take a step, a sharp blow struck the side of her head. Pain exploded behind her eyes, and everything went dark as her body crumpled to the floor.
The next time Y/N opened her eyes, the first thing she saw wasn’t Zoro’s concerned face but the dark, starry sky above. The cool night air hit her skin, and the faint sound of crickets chirping filled the quiet. She blinked, disoriented, before realizing she was lying on the cold, hard ground outside, near an old stone well.
"Oi, wake up," Zoro’s familiar gruff voice cut through the haze, accompanied by another tap, harder this time.
Y/N blinked and squinted, barely making out his face against the moonlit sky. “Zoro?” she muttered, trying to sit up.
“Yeah, it’s me. You good, or you need another nap?” he asked, crossing his arms, his expression unbothered but with a hint of concern in his eyes.
Y/N groaned as she sat up, feeling the cold stone of the well against her back. “Where are we?”
“Outside. Near the well behind the mansion. I found you knocked out cold.”
“Gee, thanks for stating the obvious,” she muttered, rubbing her temple. “What the hell happened?”
Zoro knelt down beside her, his tone growing more serious. “Klahadore isn’t just some butler. He’s Kuro—Captain Kuro of the Black Cat Pirates. That bastard’s been hiding out here, playing the good servant. That psycho’s got some plan involving Kaya-"
Y/N's heart raced as she shot up to her feet, ignoring the dizziness that washed over her. "Luffy—he was passed out! And Nami—she was supposed to be in the kitchen. They’re in there with those psychos. We have to go back!"
Zoro’s expression darkened as he drew one of his swords, the steely glint catching the moonlight. "Then let's go. No time to waste."
Despite the pounding in her head, Y/N steadied herself, determination fueling her. She nodded, and the two of them sprinted toward the mansion. The eerie quiet of the night only heightened the sense of urgency, their footsteps echoing against the cobblestone path.
As they neared the mansion, Y/N and Zoro began to hear voices, the two exchanged a glance as they crept closer, the voices becoming unmistakably clearer.
"Father always said, 'Dead pirate weighs the same as a live one,'" came the cocky, irritating voice that Y/N instantly recognized. Helmeppo.
"Garp gave us strict orders," a softer, more hesitant voice responded, trying to reason with him.
"He gave you strict orders," Helmeppo sneered as Y/N and Zoro finally reached the scene. Helmeppo stood there, holding a gun to Luffy, "Start walking, pirate, or die."
Zoro wasted no time. He was a blur of movement, taking out the two marines flanking Helmeppo with effortless precision. They hit the ground before they could even register what had happened.
As groans filled the air, Helmeppo and the kind boy Kobi she had met before turned to face Y/N and Zoro. The smug look on Helmeppo's face faded quickly when he saw them approach.
Y/N crossed her arms, a dangerous smirk tugging at her lips. "Gotta say, you picked the wrong night to be an idiot, Helmeppo. But then again, that's just who you are."
"Zoro! Y/N!" Luffy called out excitedly, as though he hadn’t been held at gunpoint just seconds earlier.
Zoro strode forward with his usual calm, while Y/N rushed to Luffy's side, giving Helmeppo a quick but satisfying punch that knocked him out cold.
"How’d you two know where to find me?" Luffy asked, a huge grin on his face.
"We didn’t, stud," Y/N replied, helping him up. "We thought we were headed to the house." Her nose scrunched up as she noticed the blue barf near Luffy and and instinctively wiped some goo from his face with her sleeve, wrinkling her nose in disgust. "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine now," Luffy smiled, his usual carefree attitude shining through as he began to make his way back to the house. "Come on!"
Y/N and Zoro exchanged a glance before following Luffy, but their steps were halted by Koby.
"Hold it right there!" he called, his voice firm. "By order of the Marines, I’m placing you under arrest."
"Koby…" Luffy took a step forward, a small grin creeping onto his face, but it quickly transformed into a more serious demeanor. "I know you’ve got a job to do… but I’m gonna go back and help my friends. So don’t try to stop me."
Koby hesitated, uncertainty flickering across his face as he looked at Luffy. It was clear he was torn between duty and friendship but he remained rooted to the spot, conflicted, as the three of them dashed into the shadows of the mansion, hearts racing and adrenaline pumping. They needed to save their friends, and nothing was going to stop them now.
When the trio reached the house, they quickly noticed the heavy metal covering the door, effectively barricading them from entering. Y/N felt a surge of frustration, but before she could voice it, Zoro stepped forward with a determined look in his eyes.
“Step aside,” he said. Zoro squared his stance, gripping the edge of the metal barrier. With a powerful grunt, he heaved against it with all his might.
To her astonishment, the metal slid upwards with a loud screech, revealing the entrance. Without hesitating, she quickly shoved a nearby statue beneath the opening to keep it in place and with a swift kick, she propelled the wooden door open, and it swung inward with a thud, revealing the interior of the mansion.
Luffy stepped inside, followed closely by Y/N and Zoro. The three of them paused in the foyer, taking in the surroundings. The air was thick with tension, shadows stretching across the walls as the faint light flickered from the ornate chandelier above.
“I need to grab my fans from my room,” Y/N said, her voice steady despite the tension in the air.
Luffy nodded, his determination unwavering. “Let’s split up.”
Zoro and Y/N exchanged glances before also nodding in agreement. Without wasting another moment, the trio took off in different directions. Luffy headed upstairs, while Zoro moved toward the kitchens, every step echoing with purpose. Y/N made her way to the guest wing, her heart racing as she recalled the location of her weapons.
As she dashed down the corridor, the silence of the mansion felt oppressive, every creak of the floorboards amplifying her anxiety. She finally reached her room and pushed the door open, relief flooding through her as she spotted her fans resting on the dresser.
“Got you!” she whispered to herself, snatching them up and flipping them open, the familiar weight comforting in her hands. With her weapons secured, she turned to leave, but a noise from the hallway caught her attention.
Holding her breath, Y/N peered out into the corridor, her war fans gripped tightly in her hands, poised defensively. The dim hallway stretched before her,
Holding her breath, Y/N peered out into the corridor, her war fans gripped tightly in her hands, poised defensively. The dim hallway stretched before her, shadows danced along the walls.
She scanned the area, her senses heightened, every creak echoing ominously in her ears. The silence felt almost tangible, pressing against her as she waited for any sign of movement. Just as she was about to step out, a creak from behind made her whip around.
Standing there was Bushi, the plump butler from earlier, draped in an absurd cat-like costume complete with a cape. His beady eyes gleamed in the low light, and a smirk spread across his face, giving him an almost sinister air.
"Of all designs, that's the one you chose?" Y/N scoffed, laughter bubbling up despite the tension.
Bushi smirked, revealing sharp canine-like teeth as he brandished two blades from behind his back. "It comes with perks,"
Y/N raised an eyebrow, a playful grin still on her face, but her stance was ready. “Perks, huh? I guess you must feel pretty fancy in that ugly getup." With a swift motion, she opened her war fan, the edges glinting ominously. “Shift it, mongrel.”
The butler lunged forward, and Y/N expertly sidestepped, feeling the rush of air as his blade sliced through the space she had just occupied. In one fluid motion, she spun around, bringing her war fan down with precision aimed at his wrist.
Bushi barely raised his other blade in time, the metallic clash ringing out as sparks flew from the impact. He grinned, lunging again, but Y/N ducked low, her fan cutting through the air as she aimed for his legs.
He jumped back, narrowly escaping. With a swift kick, Y/N drove him against the wall, the force of her strike causing him to grunt.
“You’ll pay for that!” he snarled, lunging at her with renewed ferocity. Y/N raised her fan just in time to block the incoming strike, their blades clashing once more.
Using the momentum, she pushed off his blade and leaped into the air, executing a graceful flip. As she landed, she swung the fan down toward him like a blade.
Bushi rolled out of the way, regaining his balance as Y/N charged again. He swung at her, but she ducked and sidestepped, moving with agility. She slashed at him, the fan cutting through the air, forcing him to backpedal.
As they danced around each other, the sound of metal on metal echoed through the hallway, tension thickening the air. Y/N felt the adrenaline surge, her instincts kicking in as she prepared for the next move.
Bushi lunged, but she pivoted, dodging and countering with a swift strike aimed at his midsection. He barely blocked it, gritting his teeth as they continued to clash, each movement fluid and aggressive.
Finally, Y/N saw an opening. With a quick flick of her wrist, she sent her fan spiraling toward his face, momentarily stunning him. In that split second, she charged forward, delivering a powerful kick that sent him crashing to the ground.
As Y/N caught her breath, she glanced around the dimly lit hallway, scanning for any additional threats. But before she could take a step, Bushi sprang back to his feet, eyes narrowed with determination.
“Not done yet!” he growled.
The butler lunged again, and Y/N met his charge with a swift deflection of her fan. The two danced around the narrow space of the staircase, trading blows as they fought against the railing.
Bushi swung his blades, forcing Y/N to duck and weave, her instincts sharp. She retaliated with a swift jab of her fan, catching him in the side. He stumbled, growling in frustration, but quickly regained his footing, the glint of his sharp canines reflecting the dim light.
Y/N could feel the adrenaline coursing through her veins as she adjusted her stance, her fan poised for the next move. Bushi lunged again, blades slicing through the air, and she narrowly avoided the attack by pivoting to the side, the tips of his weapons barely grazing her. The narrowness of the staircase forced them into a tight rhythm, each movement calculated and precise.
Bushi spun low, attempting a sweeping strike at her legs. Y/N leapt back, her heart pounding, and then retaliated with a powerful jab of her fan into his shoulder. The impact sent him reeling against the railing, his balance faltering for just a moment.
Seizing the opportunity, Y/N launched forward, her movements fluid and fierce. With a well-aimed kick to his midsection, she sent him crashing through the railing. The sound of splintering wood echoed in the hallway as he plummeted down into the foyer below.
Y/N glanced down at the foyer, her eyes locking with Zoro, who had just dispatched the maid, Sham.
"Impressive finishing move," Zoro remarked, sheathing his swords with a casual air.
Y/N grinned, tilting her head in playful acknowledgment."What can I say? It’s hard not to show off when I’m surrounded by such unimpressive company. Now, let’s find something to restrain them with—preferably something more effective than their fashion choices."
Sooner rather than later, to Y/N's relief, Kaya, Nami, Usopp, and Luffy emerged from the upper levels, sporting only a few scratches but no serious injuries.
"Oh, thank the stars," Y/N exclaimed, her heart settling at the sight of them. "Looks like you all survived the thrilling experience of fighting off shit butlers and overly dramatic maids."
Zoro swung open the main door, allowing the bright morning light to flood into the dim foyer.
Nami rolled her eyes but there was a shinning in her eyes of relief and amusment. "You missed all the fun, Y/N."
"Fun?" Y/N raised an eyebrow, a teasing smirk on her lips. "You mean the kind of fun that comes with questionable service choices and bad manners?"
Both girls exchanged grins, a shared understanding passing between them.
“I’m sorry about the mess,” Zoro remarked to Kaya, his tone devoid of any regret. “You probably need some new staff.”
“I think I’m done with staff for a bit,” Kaya replied, her gaze lingering on her former cook and maid, now tied on the floor.
“Too bad we can’t collect their bounty,” Zoro sighed, arms crossed.
Nami jumped in, her frustration bubbling over. “No. No. The Marines already know where we are. We have to get out of here.”
Y/N pursed her lips, glancing around the room. “We don't have nowhere to go,"
"Nor a ship," Luffy added.
"Yes, you do." Kaya said, catching them all off guard.
The atmosphere shifted as the realization sank in, and grins spread across their faces. They knew she was about to gift them the very ship they had set out for—the one that had led them into this chaotic mess.
Y/N smirked at Luffy, her eyes sparkling with mischief. "Congratulations, stud. Looks like you won the bet."
Luffy returned her smirk, his playful spirit shining through, before glancing at Nami, who rolled her eyes.
After everything that had transpired, the six of them stood before the ship, its elegant lamb bow glimmering in the sunlight.
"Wow," Luffy exclaimed, his eyes wide with awe. "That looks just like your lawyer friend."
Kaya smiled softly, nostalgia washing over her. "Merry ran the shipyard after my parents passed. He was their dearest colleague and my oldest companion."
"Then his memory will live on, "Luffy declared, "I hereby name this ship the Going Merry!"
Kaya smiled warmly, her eyes shining with pride. “It’s yours now. Your new home.”
“Thank you, Kaya,” Luffy replied, his voice full of genuine gratitude. Then, with a burst of energy, he thrust his fist into the air. “Whoo! Yeah! We did it!”
Without warning, Luffy leaped at Y/N, Nami, and Zoro, pulling them into a bone-crushing hug.
Y/N laughed, feeling the warmth of Luffy’s infectious happiness wash over her. “That we did!”
As they broke apart, no matter how hard she tried not to, Y/N couldn’t help but feel that this was only the beginning of something truly extraordinary or horrifying.
"Usopp!" Luffy suddenly called, causing everyone to turn their heads toward the boy.
Luffy approached him with that signature grin. "What are you waiting for? Get your stuff."
"What stuff?" Usopp asked, clearly confused.
"You’re coming with us. Right?" Luffy said with a grin that suggested he already knew the answer.
"What?" Usopp stammered. "Uh… uh… No. I… I couldn’t."
"Don't make him beg, champ," Y/N teased with a playful wink.
“I’m gonna need a great sharpshooter,” Luffy added, leaning in confidently. “Just like Yasopp. And I saw what you did back there--sticking up for your friends. That’s exactly the kind of guy I need on my crew.”
Usopp hesitated, his gaze flicking to Kaya. "But… I couldn’t leave Syrup Village. What… what about Kaya?" His voice wavered as he looked at her. "She needs me to take care of her."
Kaya stepped forward, her expression gentle. "Usopp, you’ve been a great friend," she said, taking his hand. "But I think it’s time I start taking care of myself."
"But I said I’d never leave you," Usopp protested, his frown deepening. "And don’t you need help with the shipyard?"
Nami, Y/N, and Zoro quietly made their way to stand beside Luffy, content to watch the moment unfold between Usopp and Kaya.
"The shipyard was my parents’ dream," Kaya said softly, her eyes warm as they met Usopp's. "I think I might do something different. Like study to become a doctor."
"So… I guess this is goodbye," Usopp said slowly, his voice tinged with sadness.
Kaya squeezed his hands, offering him a soft, encouraging smile. "I’ll see you again someday. And when I do, I expect to hear all about the real adventures of Captain Usopp."
Much to Usopp's surprise—and to no one else's—Kaya leaned in and kissed him. It was a tender moment, prompting the spectators to avert their eyes… except for Luffy, who frowned in confusion.
"They… they do know I’m the captain, right?"
Nami patted Luffy on the shoulder. "Let them have this one,"
Y/N grinned, nudging Luffy playfully. "Besides, you’ll get your moment, stud. Maybe with less kissing though, but who knows." she winks at him.
And just like that, they were out at sea again—this time, however, with a new friend and a real ship beneath their feet. The Going Merry cut through the waves with ease, her elegant lamb figurehead gleaming in the sunlight.
And then, they were out on the open sea again, this time with a new crewmate and a real ship beneath their feet. The Going Merry glided effortlessly over the waves, its lamb figurehead leading the way toward new adventures.
Y/N leaned against the railing, gazing out at the endless blue ocean. The sun warmed her skin while the salty breeze danced through her white hair, tousling it playfully. She closed her eyes for a moment, taking a deep breath, letting the serenity of the sea wash over her, giving her a sense of freedom she hadn’t felt in a long time.
A sudden shout nearly made Y/N jump out of her skin, snapping her attention to the bow of the ship. She couldn’t help but snicker as she spotted Luffy, perched at the top of the lamb’s head, waving his straw hat with pure joy. His wide grin was infectious, and the sight of him celebrating like a carefree kid brought a warmth to her chest.
He was so ridiculously happy, as if he’d just discovered the greatest treasure in the world, and for a second, Y/N envied his simplicity—his ability to find joy in the smallest things, no matter the chaos surrounding them.
Looking back at the ocean, a quiet hope took root inside her. This might actually work. The thought of reuniting with her sister felt closer than ever, and the mere possibility made her smile.
A lively melody echoed around the ship's gallery, and Y/N ran her fingers over the guitar strings, crafting an upbeat tune that danced with the rhythm of the waves.
In Syrup Village, where dreams took flight, Lived young Kaya, shining so bright. But Kuro the Cat, with a sinister crew, Plotted to take her, oh, what would they do?
Then we arrived, with laughter and cheer, “Don’t worry, dear Kaya! Your heroes are here!--”
"We did not arrive with laughter and cheer," Nami scoffs from beside Y/N, interrupting the ballad.
Y/N rolls her eyes, a playful grin on her face. "Shush, it rhymes! Besides, artistic license!"
Nami crossed her arms. "More like a disaster in the making."
"Focus on the song, not the flaws," Zoro mutters from her other side, his voice low yet steady.
Y/N scoffs at him, "Excuse me, but my ballad doesn't have any flaws."
Luffy, grinned wide as he ate some fruit. "I like it! Keep going!"
With a theatrical sigh, Y/N continued, her fingers dancing over the guitar strings.
“Thank you, brave souls!” Kaya smiled wide, “I’ve got a surprise—come take a ride!” With joy in her heart, she gave them the key, To the Going Merry, as grand as could be!
"And that’s the end of my masterpiece," Y/N said with a playful shrug, her grin wide.
Nami shook her head, unable to suppress her smile. "You're utterly ridiculous, you know that?"
“Ridiculously talented, you mean!” Luffy exclaimed, his enthusiasm infectious. He turned to Y/N, beaming. "Can you whip up one about each of us?"
"Only if the muse strikes me just right," Y/N replied.
“Guys! You’ve got to see this!” Usopp burst into the room, proudly draping a black mantle over his shoulders. “Behold my unparalleled artistic genius!” He positioned Luffy to hold the flag aloft. “Ta-da!” The flag showcased a cartoonish skull with exaggerated features reminiscent of Usopp himself.
Usopp chuckled at his creation, but the room fell into silence, the others unsure how to react.
“I know, I know,” he said, breaking the quiet. “My flair for design often leaves people speechless.”
Luffy, unfazed, closed the flag and handed it back to Usopp with a cheeky grin. "I already drew our flag."
"Okay, but this one is way cooler!" Usopp insisted, trying again.
Zoro interjected, his tone deadpan, "Neither of those flags are gonna scare anyone off."
"Well, the Jolly Roger is supposed to reflect the captain," Usopp argued, wrapping the flag around himself like a cape.
Luffy leaned in closer, a playful spark in his eyes. "I am the captain. We are the Straw Hat crew."
"They call me Captain Usopp!" Usopp declared dramatically.
"I’m the captain. Me, captain. Captain, me."
"The captain is the one who gets the ship and knows the most about sailing," Usopp countered, trying to hold his ground.
"I am…"
Their ridiculous bickering over who truly held the title of captain was so absurd that even Nami couldn’t help but chuckle. Y/N exchanged amused glances with her, and soon the whole crew was laughing along.
Luffy beamed as he patted Usopp on the back, his excitement radiating through the room. "You see? This is what it’s all about!" He leaned in closer, confidence oozing from him. "From now on, it’s all gonna be smooth sailing."
Just as his words hung in the air, a thunderous boom erupted from outside, causing everyone to exchange puzzled glances. Before they could react, another explosion shook the ship, this time sending a tremor beneath their feet.
"What was that?" Usopp asks as he holds into Luffy.
Y/N cursed under her breath, instinctively reaching for her weapons. "Cannonballs!
Nami set her drink down with a frustrated sigh, rising to her feet. "You had to open your mouth," she shot at Luffy, just as the sound of cannon fire rattled the ship again.
The crew scrambled outside, eyes widening as they took in the sight before them. A Marine ship just behind them, cannons poised and ready for another strike.
"Marines! We’re under attack!" Nami shouted, her voice laced with urgency as another cannonball soared perilously close.
Y/N felt a sense of dread wash over her, but what came next was entirely unexpected. Luffy, the boy who prided himself on being a pirate, who declared his dreams of becoming the King of the Pirates with fervor, said;
“Grandpa?”
A/N: I hope you enjoyed the chapter. Lots of love. Be safe.
Also, tell me if you want to get tagged.

A Greek merchant ship called Odysseus discovered more than a mile under the surface of the Black Sea has been radiocarbon dated, and it has been confirmed that it is from approximately 400 BC, making it the world’s oldest known intact shipwreck.
The vessel was located by the Black Sea Maritime Archaeology Project as they surveyed the seafloor some 50 miles off the coast of Bulgaria with a remote deep-sea camera system.
The 75-foot / 23m long wooden ship remains remarkably well preserved because the Black Sea’s depths are oxygen-free.

⋆˚࿔ Book 2 𝜗𝜚˚⋆
୨୧┇pairing: Telemachus x reader
୨୧┇EGYPT‼️‼️
────୨ৎ──── ────୨ৎ──── ───
The crew stood on the golden shores, surrounded by the wreckage of their ship, unsure of their next steps. Acrisios was muttering curses under his breath, while Eurymachus and Cassander argued about whose fault the wreck had been. Telemachus was about to intervene when they noticed figures approaching in the distance.
A group of men and women dressed in fine linen robes, adorned with gold jewelry and carrying spears, marched toward them. The leader, a tall man with dark skin and a commanding presence, stepped forward. His piercing eyes surveyed the wreckage and the battered crew. “Who are you, and why are you here?” the man demanded in a deep, steady voice.
Telemachus stepped forward, hands raised in a gesture of peace. “We are travelers from Ithaca. Our ship was caught in a storm, and we were cast ashore. We mean no harm.” The man regarded him skeptically but said nothing. Behind him, a woman whispered something in his ear, and he nodded.
Suddenly, Florus stepped forward, brushing sand off his tunic. His face lit up as he recognized something about the group. “Wait! I know this place!” he exclaimed.
The leader turned to Florus, his expression softening. “You… you are Florus, son of Iphicles, are you not?”
Florus grinned. “That’s right. My family has visited these lands many times. My father and your people have traded together for years.”
The man’s stern expression melted into a warm smile. “You are welcome here, Florus. Any friend of Iphicles is a friend of ours.” He gestured to his people. “Gather the wreckage and bring them to the city. We will offer you food and shelter.”
The crew exchanged relieved glances. Acrisios muttered, “Well, that was convenient.”
As the Egyptians began helping them collect their scattered supplies, Florus turned to Telemachus with a smirk. “See? Sometimes it pays to have connections.”
Telemachus clapped him on the shoulder. “Let’s hope your charm keeps us alive.” The group was led toward the city, where towering obelisks and grand temples loomed against the horizon. The streets were bustling with life, the air filled with the scents of spices and the sounds of merchants calling out their wares. Despite their exhaustion, the Ithacans couldn’t help but marvel at the grandeur of the civilization.
Eurymachus leaned over to Cassander, whispering, “Do you think they’ve got women here who—”
Cassander shoved him. “Not the time, idiot.”
The leader of the Egyptians turned to them as they reached a spacious courtyard. “Rest here. We will see to it that your ship is repaired, and you have all you need to continue your journey. Florus, your reputation precedes you, your father spoke highly of you.”
Florus nodded, though there was a flicker of sadness in his eyes. “Thank you for your hospitality. We’re deeply grateful.”
As the crew settled in, Telemachus pulled Florus aside. “You’ve saved us today. But let’s not get too comfortable. We have a war to finish and a family to reunite.”
Florus nodded solemnly. “Understood. But for now, let’s take the help we’ve been given.”
Telemachus sighed, glancing toward the distant horizon. “Y/n, hold on. I’m coming for you.”
——
As the sun set over the sprawling Egyptian city, Telemachus stood on a raised platform in the courtyard, addressing the crew. The exhaustion was etched on their faces from the storm and their unexpected arrival, but they remained alert, hanging onto his every word. “Listen well,” Telemachus began, his voice firm yet calm. “We’ve been through a storm that could have easily killed us all. The gods have spared us, but we’re not invincible. Rest for now, gather your strength. This isn’t over, and when the time comes, we will sail again. But only when we’re ready.”
The men nodded, muttering amongst themselves as they began to settle in. Some sought out food, while others found spots to rest under the open sky. Among them, Pisistratus approached Antinous, who had been pacing like a restless lion, his fists clenched at his sides. The brooding man seemed ready to explode.
“You heard Telemachus,” Pisistratus said, crossing his arms. “You need to rest.”
Antinous shot him a glare that could cut through bronze. “Don’t tell me what to do, boy. You wouldn’t understand what I’m feeling.”
“I’m not the one who needs to understand,” Pisistratus retorted. “Telemachus gave an order. You’re not helping anyone if you keel over from exhaustion.”
Antinous’s hands curled into fists. “You think I can just sit here? My sister is out there, suffering God knows what, and I’m supposed to rest? You’d rather waste time, but I won’t!”
“Do you even have a plan?” Pisistratus snapped, stepping closer. “What, you’re just going to jump on a half wrecked ship and sail alone? You’ll get yourself killed before you even reach Skiaphos!”
Antinous’s eyes burned with fury as he shoved Pisistratus back. “At least I’ll be doing something! Unlike you cowards sitting here waiting for the gods to do all the work!”
The shove made Pisistratus stagger, but he recovered quickly. “You’re acting like a child!” he yelled, stepping back into Antinous’s space. “We all want to save your sister, but throwing yourself into the sea won’t help her!”
“Don’t talk about my sister like you know her!” Antinous roared, grabbing Pisistratus by the collar. His voice cracked with raw emotion. “She’s my blood, my family! I won’t just sit here while she—”
“Enough!” Telemachus’s voice cut through the tension like a blade. Both men froze as their king approached, his expression dark. Telemachus stepped between them, prying Antinous’s hands off Pisistratus. “Antinous, I understand your pain,” he said, his voice low and steady. “You think I don’t want to drop everything and charge into Skiaphos myself? But we have to be smart about this. If we go now, weak and unprepared, we’ll fail. And that will help no one, least of all Y/N.”
Antinous’s chest heaved, his face a mix of rage and desperation. “She’s my sister,” he muttered, his voice shaking. “You don’t know what that feels like.”
Telemachus’s gaze softened, though his tone remained firm. “She’s my wife. Don’t act like you’re the only one who loves her.” The words seemed to land heavily on Antinous, who looked away, his jaw clenched. Pisistratus rubbed his shoulder, muttering something under his breath, but wisely stayed silent.
“Rest,” Telemachus ordered, his voice leaving no room for argument. “We need you at your best. And she needs us united, not fighting among ourselves.” Antinous said nothing, his hands trembling at his sides. After a long pause, he gave a stiff nod and turned away, stalking off into the shadows.
Pisistratus sighed, shaking his head. “He’s a handful.”
Telemachus watched Antinous disappear into the distance. “He’s in pain,” he said quietly. “But he’ll channel it when the time comes. For now, let him cool off.” With that, Telemachus returned to the crew, his thoughts heavy. The weight of their mission bore down on him, but he knew one thing for certain: they couldn’t afford to fall apart now.
——
Eurymachus and Cassander lounged in the shade of a large canopy set up by their Egyptian hosts, both clearly reveling in the hospitality they were receiving. A few of the local women, dressed in flowing linen skirts and wraps that left little to the imagination, moved gracefully around them, offering cool drinks, tending to their bandages, and providing food. Cassander leaned back against a cushioned chair, a wide grin stretching across his face. “I could get used to this,” he said, reaching out to accept a goblet of wine from one of the women.
Eurymachus, sprawled out beside him, chuckled as another woman knelt to clean a scratch on his arm. “You’re telling me. These storms might’ve been worth it just for this.” The women giggled softly at their words, their gazes demure yet curious.
Cassander raised an eyebrow, leaning slightly toward Eurymachus. “Think we could convince a few to come back with us? You know, as… ‘cultural ambassadors.’”
Eurymachus burst out laughing. “Cultural ambassadors? That’s the best you’ve got? I’m just going to say it, I want a proper war prize or two. Someone to keep me company on those long exhausting nights back in Ithaca.”
“You’d need more than one,” Cassander teased, taking a sip of his wine. “You’d burn out the poor girl before spring.”
“And you’d do better?” Eurymachus shot back, grinning.
Cassander leaned forward dramatically, his hand over his chest. “Cassander doesn’t settle for less. A harem is the only thing that could keep a man like me satisfied.”
One of the women tending to him giggled behind her hand, and Cassander turned to her with a wink. “What do you think? Should I build a palace for all the beautiful women I’ll bring back from this war?”
The woman blushed deeply, hiding her face, and Eurymachus snorted. “She’s going to run off if you keep talking like that.”
“Run off? With charm like mine? Never.” Cassander shot a cocky grin to the group of women, who exchanged amused glances.
As Eurymachus leaned back, one of the women dabbed a cool, damp cloth on his forehead. He tilted his head toward her and said, “You’re doing the gods’ work, really. Without you, we’d be lost.”
“You’re ridiculous,” Cassander muttered, but he was clearly amused.
“Ridiculous? No. Appreciative.” Eurymachus smirked. “There’s nothing wrong with enjoying life’s finer things. And these ladies?” He gestured broadly at the group of women, who were now trying to suppress their laughter. “The finest.”
As the two men bantered back and forth, Druses passed by, his expression a mix of irritation and disbelief. “You two are insufferable,” he muttered under his breath, shaking his head as he continued on his way.
Eurymachus leaned back with a grin. “Ah, let the man sulk. He doesn’t know what he’s missing.”
Cassander laughed, raising his goblet in agreement. “To the spoils of war, my friend.”
“To the spoils,” Eurymachus echoed, clinking his cup with Cassander’s, as the women continued their work with bemused smiles.

Telemachus sat in one of the modest chambers, his brow furrowed as he spoke to Athena, whose divine presence flickered faintly in the lamplight. “We’ve lost too much time already,” he said, his voice heavy with frustration. “Raphael has days, maybe weeks, to prepare for us. We need more allies, more strength. What do you suggest, Athena? Should we press the Egyptians to aid us further, or move on?”
Athena regarded him with a calm, steady gaze. “You must tread carefully, Telemachus. These people are gracious hosts, but even their hospitality has limits. Their loyalties lie with their own safety. Gaining their trust and aid may require more patience than you’re accustomed to.”
Telemachus sighed, running a hand through his hair. “Patience… that’s hard to come by when my wife and son are in danger. I feel like every minute we’re here is a minute closer to—” He cut himself off, unwilling to finish the thought.
Athena softened slightly, though her tone remained measured. “You’re driven by love and duty, as any great leader should be. But emotions untamed can be as destructive as the storm you just survived. Plan wisely, and don’t let desperation cloud your judgment.”
Just as she finished, the door burst open, and Acrisios stormed in, his face a mix of irritation and urgency. “Telemachus,” he began, his voice sharp. “You might want to deal with your brother-in-law before this whole alliance falls apart.”
Telemachus blinked, standing quickly. “What now?”
“It’s Antinous,” Acrisios said with a dramatic wave of his hand. “The Egyptian servants, you know, the ones keeping us fed and sheltered?, he’s been making their lives a living Tartarus. Yelling at them, throwing things. The man’s on a rampage. One of them came running to me in tears because he smashed a jar of water at her feet.”
Telemachus groaned, pinching the bridge of his nose. “I should’ve known. He’s been on edge since we set sail. This isn’t helping anyone.”
“I get that he’s worried about y/n,” Acrisios said, folding his arms, “but we’re all worried. Doesn’t give him the right to make an enemy of the only people keeping us afloat right now.”
Athena raised an eyebrow, her voice cutting through the room. “You’re the leader of this group, Telemachus. You must decide how to handle him before his actions jeopardize your mission.”
Telemachus nodded, his expression hardening. “You’re right. I’ll deal with him. Acrisios, show me where he is.”
Acrisios gestured toward the door. “Follow the shouting. You can’t miss it.”
As Telemachus strode out, Athena’s voice followed him. “Remember, a leader must temper strength with wisdom. Don’t let his anger fuel yours.”
Telemachus gave a slight nod, though his jaw was clenched. He had a feeling this conversation with Antinous was going to be anything but easy. Telemachus found Antinous pacing in the open courtyard, his hands clenched into fists and his eyes wild with fury. Several shattered pottery shards littered the ground, and a few frightened Egyptian servants hovered in the shadows, too afraid to step forward. As Telemachus approached, his voice was firm but calm.
“Antinous, enough. You’re scaring them, and you’re not helping anything by lashing out like this.”
Antinous spun around, his face twisted in rage. “Helping? Helping? Don’t you dare lecture me about helping when my sister is out there, gods know where, with that bastard! And all we’re doing is sitting here, wasting time!”
“We’re not wasting time,” Telemachus replied, his voice steady but strained. “We’re regrouping, planning. If we rush into this unprepared, we’ll lose everything. Including y/n.”
Antinous sneered, stepping closer, his voice dripping with venom. “You lost y/n the moment you let that snake into your palace. This is on you, Telemachus. You failed to protect her.”
Telemachus flinched at the accusation but held his ground. “I’m not denying my mistakes, but blaming me won’t bring her back. We need to focus on the fight ahead, not tear each other apart.”
Antinous let out a bitter laugh, pulling his dagger from his belt. “Oh, focus? You want me to focus? Here’s something to focus on, my sister’s screams while that bastard defiles her, and you doing nothing about it!” Before anyone could react, Antinous lunged forward and slashed the blade across Telemachus’s cheek. Blood welled up instantly, and the courtyard fell deathly silent. The servant girls gasped, one of them dropping the jug she’d been carrying.
Telemachus stumbled back, his hand flying to his face as the warm blood trickled between his fingers. His eyes locked with Antinous’s, a mixture of shock and anger flickering in his gaze.“Are you out of your mind?!” Druses barked, rushing forward with Pisistratus close behind.
The two men grabbed Antinous, wrestling the dagger from his hand and pinning him against the wall as he thrashed and cursed. “Let me go! Let me go, damn it! I’ll gut every single one of you if it means getting her back!”
“Enough!” Pisistratus shouted, tightening his grip on Antinous’s arm. “You’re going to ruin everything! You think this is what she would want? You’re acting like a madman!”
Meanwhile, the servant girls cautiously approached Telemachus, one of them tearing a strip of fabric from her tunic to press against his bleeding cheek. “My lord, come with us,” she said, her voice trembling. “You need to sit down before the wound worsens.” Telemachus nodded numbly, letting the woman guide him away as his gaze lingered on Antinous. Despite the pain and betrayal coursing through him, he couldn’t help but see the anguish in the man’s eyes, a reflection of his own.
As the servants carried Telemachus to another chamber, Druses and Pisistratus struggled to hold Antinous, whose strength seemed fueled by pure rage. “Calm down, Antinous,” Druses growled, his usual smooth demeanor cracking. “You’re not helping her. You’re just making yourself an enemy to all of us.”
Antinous stopped thrashing, though his chest heaved with fury. “If you want to save her so badly, then do something. Or I’ll do it myself,” he spat, his voice shaking with emotion.
Pisistratus released him with a shove, glaring. “We all want to save her. But you’ll destroy any chance we have if you keep acting like this.” Antinous said nothing, his eyes burning with unresolved rage and pain as he slumped against the wall. The courtyard remained tense and silent, the weight of the moment pressing down on everyone.
——
Telemachus sat on a low cushioned bench in one of the chambers, a servant girl carefully dabbing his wounded cheek with a damp cloth. The sting of the injury was nothing compared to the storm of emotions swirling in his chest, Antinous’s betrayal, the weight of his wife’s absence, and the uncertainty of their mission. He barely noticed the soft laughter and hushed whispers behind him until one of the servant girls moved closer, placing a hand on his shoulder. “Such a strong warrior,” one of them said, her voice playful as her fingers brushed against his arm.
Another giggled from behind him. “And so handsome too. No wonder you’re a king.”
Telemachus stiffened slightly, unsure how to respond. “I… appreciate the help,” he said carefully, glancing over his shoulder. “But there’s no need to flatter me.”
The girl tending his cheek smiled coyly, leaning in closer than necessary as she inspected the wound. “It’s not flattery if it’s true, my lord. Such a brave man deserves care, don’t you think?”
Her fingers grazed his jaw, lingering longer than they should. Telemachus pulled back slightly, his cheeks flushing. “I—I have a wife,” he stammered, his voice firm despite the awkwardness.
The room fell silent for a moment, and the girls exchanged glances, their playful demeanor faltering. One of them spoke up, her tone teasing but with a touch of disappointment. “Your wife must be a lucky woman, my king.”
“She is,” Telemachus replied without hesitation, his voice softening as his thoughts drifted to Pandora. “And I’m lucky to have her.”
The girl tending to him lowered her gaze, stepping back slightly as if realizing she’d overstepped. “Forgive us, my lord,” she murmured, her tone more respectful now.
Telemachus nodded, adjusting his position on the bench. “It’s all right. Just… focus on the wound.”The room grew quieter as the girls returned to their tasks, their earlier giggles replaced by a more subdued atmosphere. Telemachus sat still, his thoughts once again consumed by his wife and the desperate need to bring her home.

Beta Expectations and Our Development Goals
Hi everyone! This document serves as an outline for starting expectations when beginning Closed Beta.
Things to remember as we move into Closed Beta are:
Cursing is allowed! We’ve dialed back our filters quite a bit, but absolutely no innuendo or sexual content. Details are outlined in our TOS.
In this beginning, the application feels closer to the Alpha state than it does the full game. It is in a mid-development limbo, which is why we are stressing that it is the Closed Beta state. Our biggest milestones have been backend technical foundations that have taken significant time. If the game were a cake, we have finished baking the base, which is what we’re starting the testing for. We’ll be making aggressive updates throughout the next few months of the test, which will introduce the “frosting,” and advance general playability. We plan to roll out new mechanics every month. You will find a list below of what these goals are.
Temper your starting expectations, but get excited for how much we’re going to continuously develop and update!
We will not be moving into Open Beta until we feel the game is close to done. Think of Closed Beta as phase 1, and Open Beta as phase 2.
Things will break the moment you try them. This is normal and expected. Always report!
Because of this, things won’t be very fun yet. But as we roll out improvements and new things, users will get to give live feedback on what they want to see and how things feel.
Early Access will be less smooth than full Closed Beta as we detect the kinks of letting more people in en masse. It’s the nature of early launching. Brace yourselves!
In the same vein, several aspects are temporary. Topher takes the place of icons in the queue, and compromises we’ve made for early economic simulation (example: a placeholder merchant to simulate the Processing mechanic) will be barren. NPCs are sketches, UI colors may be temporary, and UI banners are sketches.
Any and all prices of items or features are temporary or subject to change. Things like the price of kit rolling or accessory items will be tooled.
All updates and communications with testers will be posted publicly instead of through email. Eventually, we’ll use the site forums, but not until we can guarantee no more content wipes, and we’ve developed the sticky system on the User Dashboard.
Everything in this test, minus your username, password, account ID, and purchases is temporary. Your account content will be erased at some point in time, and when it is your Kickstarter and Alpha reward codes will be re-activated for use.
If anything is broken about your code, please report! We’ll fix it!
Any premium purchases you make will be restored upon wipes, and exist in this state as a means to support us moreso than to stimulate longterm collecting. By purchasing any currency, you’re helping us develop! But please do not feel pressured!
Bundles will be added come the full Closed Beta.
Pelt submissions are open for user testing, but you’ll have to re-submit upon any wipes.
When you complete registration (entering your DOB and confirming agreement to the TOS), your founder and follower IDs will be reserved, so you can take your time going over the details.
These starting cats will be wiped completely, and when Open Beta begins, follower and founder IDs will be totally up for grabs again upon first-come first-serve login and confirmation.
We’ll be around to grind for the next two weeks. Then, in two weeks, there will be a bit of a lull as our developers take a breather and regroup, and we’ll be back in March. We’re making this plan known so it doesn’t look like an abandonment or nervous silence. We’re simply planning rest and pacing ahead of time!
We’ll be sending out periodic surveys to get honest criticism and check how the economy is feeling.
The first survey is ready and waiting for your input! This survey focuses specifically on the economy, and can be filled out once per day. Please do not feel pressured to do so every day, but we encourage you to respond as many times as possible. Your input is immeasurably valuable for the fine-tuning of our economy, and guaranteeing the long-term enjoyability of the site. Please find the survey here.
With over 700 items on this site, we may have missed necessary data entry for some as we learn the ins and outs of our own program. Always report and we’ll fix it!
Some accessories are in the re-coloring queue, and if so will have their recolors seeded into the economy as we finish them.
It’s a marathon, not a sprint. We’re ready to hit the ground running, but it will be a long journey. We’re excited to embark on it together!
Here is a list of things available from the get-go (hopefully useable, if not they will be!):
Cooking and Crafting
Daily Duties
Flea Market and Merchants
Breeding
Dress up and general cat customization
Beta retirement (bare bones)
Cat relationships and cross-cat gift giving
Archetype discovery (we are adding new ones as you play!)
Forum posting and custom board creation (image hosting!)
Cat profile CSS boxes
User profile CSS boxes
Storage and stash functionality for item organization
Bank functionality for currency storage
User customization settings (icon selection, pronoun and slogan editing, Borough swapping, username swapping)
Crest application
Beta guild play (basic errands)
Multiplayer guilds
Incense and metamorphic functionality
Pelt submissions (the refined pelt rules are a work in progress, because for this chaotic testing phase we’d like everyone to go nuts and have some fun! The only steadfast rules are no gore, copyrighted materials, religious iconography, or sexual content!)
Friend requests and adding friends
Premium shop (intended for user support, benefits are bare for at least the next week or so while we focus on user bug reports)
Now without further ado… here is what we’ll be working on in the coming months, in order of general priority! Open Beta will not happen until we finish this list.
Replacing frontend assets with final renders.
Updating item cards to reflect dynamic button displays depending on the page in which the card is being viewed.
User report system for all user-ran content.
Wardrobe functionality; full sandbox dress up available to any visitor.
Infrastructure for sharing sandbox creations in comments and forum posts; text language like :catID: to paste an image link of a cat.
User to user DM functionality.
User to user private trading.
Item database and lore encyclopedia.
Processing functionality + dye system. For now, recolors are seeded in a temporary merchant.
Visual faunapedia record for fauna studying (including unlockable lore.)
Adding a slew of archetypes. Dedicated archetype collection page with user featured display.
Sitewide search functionality of all user content.
Aesthetic updates to comments + addition of comments onto cat pages.
Splitting the Undercoat into two patterns: Dilute (dynamically lightened) and Standard.
Adding a white patch selector into the creator and founder designer.
Dashboard refinement + forum news widget and stickies.
Splitting cooking and crafting to bring back Winnipeg and keep the mechanics more organized.
Farming.
Much of it has been started already, and we’ll continue to share our progress. We plan to stay in Closed Beta likely over the summer, but it will be as long as these developments take.
And then we will move into Open Beta! Where we can focus on the following:
User notebook entries (blog posts.)
Forum board updates to better accommodate posting
Sitewide tagging and filtering.
Cross-account breeding.
Dedicated Guild refinement and updates.
Achievement system.
Referral system.
Team features like a team hoard, team notes, and shared scenes.
Refinement of any feature feedback we get :)
And from there… it’s full launch, baby!
Again, a marathon, not a sprint. This list may seem long and arduous, but we’ll continue visual content updates (patterns, breeds, etc.) throughout the length of development.
Let’s get crackin’, catfolk!

When Stede wakes, it's on a dirty floor. He's wearing the same outfit he's been wearing for lord knows how long, and he's desperately in need of bathing. His hair sticks to his forehead with sweat — the summer humidity has been brutal the past few days, even with the gentle sea breeze. It doesn't help, either, that Ed's long limbs always end up sprawled all over Stede, and while Stede would never be ungrateful for Ed's company, he could do without the extra body heat.
Stede gently frees himself from Ed's embrace, taking care not to wake him, and rises to his feet. Ed doesn't stir. A part of Stede aches at the fact that Ed is so used to living in these conditions, and he laments the fact that he is unable to provide him with something better, something worthy of him. Oh, well. The time for that will come, Stede thinks with a quiet sigh.
A few days have passed since The New Revenge sailed away from the little island where Stede and Ed have taken up residence. During his time at Jackie's, Stede had grown somewhat accustomed to less than ideal living quarters, but living in this ramshackle abode that Ed refuses to call anything but an "inn" and hunting for all their own food has been... challenging. The only thing that makes it bearable is the fact that Ed is here with him.
Stede decides that he'll go for a quick swim before Ed wakes up, and from there they'll decide where to hunt for breakfast. Or, perhaps one of the nearby store merchants will take pity on them and give them some food for free. Stede finds himself wishing, not for the first time, that he hadn't renounced all his wealth, or convinced Ed to give away all his treasure. His belly rumbles, hollow with hunger. He ignores it.
He walks sluggishly to the wooden door of the inn and opens it, and he's greeted with the quiet light of daybreak and a slight breeze from the calm sea. He takes a deep breath, savoring the salty sea air and trying to expel the smell of rotting wood from his nostrils.
As he surveys the expanse of the ocean, he sees a ship on the horizon, with large imposing sails and a black flag on the mast. It looks almost like... Stede squints his eyes, and— yes, it is the Revenge! Stede's heart leaps. Have they missed the cunning guidance of their captain already? Are they back for another adventure? He smiles at the thought.
A loud snore from Ed brings Stede back to the present, and Stede instantly feels guilty for even entertaining the thought. As much as he loves the adventure and being at sea, he loves Ed more, and he can't ask Ed to go back to that life. No, he'll just have to tell the crew thanks, but no thanks. He's all in on being an innkeeper. Or a shack-keeper.
As Stede continues to watch the Revenge navigate the calm waters, he can't help but notice that it seems like it's getting smaller. He watches for a few more moments before confirming that yes, it's definitely sailing away. But why?
Stede steps out onto the porch of the inn and he nearly trips on something that has been placed just outside the front door. A large chest has been left on the doorstep, and on it is a note written in Lucius's neat handwriting.
To get you started.
Stede's heart swells as he opens up the chest, and he smiles when he sees what's inside. Apart from a considerable amount of gold and priceless antiques that the crew no doubt plundered from some unsuspecting vessel, a handful of other treasures occupy the box as well. Stede sits down on the porch and looks over each item with care, and by the time he's gone through everything his cheeks are damp with grateful tears. He's conscious of a stirring behind him, and he wipes his eyes, slightly embarrassed even though he knows Ed is the last person who would make fun of him.
"Mornin'," Ed says from the doorway, and Stede turns to smile at him. He'll never get used to this, seeing Ed with sleep-tousled hair and hearing his gruff morning voice. He nods toward the chest. "What's that?"
"The crew stopped by this morning when we were sleeping and left us some gifts. Come take a look," Stede says, and Ed joins him on the porch and sits down next to him.
Stede first pulls out the food, his mouth watering just looking at it: a jar of marmalade, a handful of oranges, and six sandwiches, wrapped with care, no doubt, by Roach. Ed takes one of the sandwiches, and wastes no time in unwrapping it and taking a bite. He makes a lewd noise as he tastes it. "That's a damn good sandwich," he says through a mouthful of peanut paste and some kind of fruit jam.
Stede sets one of the remaining sandwiches aside to enjoy later, and then pulls out the next item: a large knitted blanket, which Stede recognizes instantly as Wee John's handiwork. It won't do them much good now, but when summer turns into fall and the nights get colder, Stede is certain he'll be grateful for the extra warmth.
There's a small throwing knife which Stede figures is a gift from Jim, and the words "hidalgo pirata" have been carved into the handle.
There's a whittled... something in there too, which Stede presumes was made by Black Pete. It looks kind of like a person, but Pete was never all that great at whittling, so Stede isn't entirely sure. He wonders if it's meant to be the wooden boy from the story the crew loved so much. He caresses its face absentmindedly.
A fishing rod, presumably from Fang, is also in the chest, and a necklace with a shark tooth on it has been tied around the handle.
A teal earring, which Stede has seen Oluwande wear before, has also been gifted to them.
Even Zheng and Auntie seemingly contributed: Stede pulls out a few jars of sweet-smelling tea leaves, and a few soft towels.
The final two things, though, are the ones that brought tears to Stede's eyes. "Look at this," he says to Ed, who has unwrapped a second sandwich and is devouring that, too.
Stede pulls out a black flag, and unfolds it to reveal a motif of two merpeople, one holding a spear and the other, upside down, holding a red heart. Their free hands hold each other. Intertwined, Stede thinks, and smiles, imagining Frenchie mulling over this project just for them.
The final item in the chest is a sketch, drawn by Lucius: a group portrait of everyone on the crew, including Izzy and Ivan, standing side by side, triumphantly. A family. Stede knows instantly that this will be the first and most treasured piece of decor to grace their inn.
"They put all this together just for us?" Ed asks, surprised and touched.
"Yeah," Stede says, unable to look away from the family portrait. His eyes fall to three words that Lucius has written under the sketch, and his heart swells.
Revenge Lives On.

Herman Melville
Herman Melville (1819 – 1891) was a 19th-century American author of novels, short stories and poetry. He is best known for his novel Moby Dick, published in 1851, and his short stories Bartleby the Scrivner and Billy Budd, Sailor. Despite his early successes as a novelist, Melville died in 1891 in relative obscurity.
Early Life
Herman Melville, the third oldest of eight children, was born on August 1, 1819 in New York City. His paternal and maternal grandfathers were both Revolutionary War heroes — a point of pride in the Melville household. His father, Allan Melvill (the “e” would be added in the 1830s) looked proudly on his family’s heritage, tracing it to the Scottish Renaissance. Melville’s mother, Maria Gansevoort, was of Dutch descent. The young Melville spent his youth living in luxury. His father was a dry-goods merchant who tended to live beyond his means. He alternated between enthusiasm for the future of business in America and the fear of a recession. This nagging fear caused him to borrow money from his wife’s family. In 1832 Allan Melvill fell ill and died in a delirium, leaving his family heavily in debt and dependent on Maria’s family for financial help.
At the age of twelve Melville left school and began working a number of menial jobs: clerking at a bank and later at his brother Gansevoort’s fur-cap store. In 1837 he moved to Pittsfield, Massachusetts to run his Uncle Thomas Melville’s farm. Thomas had gone west seeking greener pastures in Galena, Illinois — pastures he would never find. At the age of 18 and unemployed, Melville briefly taught in a country school near Pittsfield. The following spring he took a course in surveying and engineering at the Lansingburgh Academy in Albany, but the Panic of 1837 left him without work. Unemployed at the age of 20, and following the example of one of his cousins, he signed on as a cabin boy on a ship bound for Liverpool – an experience he would recount in his novel Redburn.
After returning home aboard the St. Lawrence, Melville again failed to find employment. Seeking further adventure, and possible employment, in June of 1840, he and his friend Eli Fly headed west to Galena where Uncle Thomas proved to be of no help. They travelled down the Mississippi to the Ohio River and then eastward back to New York. In January of 1841, at the age of 21, Melville took “desperate measures” and signed on with the Acushnet, a whaler out of New Bedford, bound for the South Seas. Melville would be gone for almost four years. It was a time that he considered as an education. It would provide him with enough experiences for four relatively successful novels and one not so successful.

Sebastian Solace(Pressure) x Reader/Self-Insert, Pt. 2
I actually turned that one-shot into a fic, so If you’d like to see more, I’ll be posting new updates on my ao3 :)
____________
The churning of the ocean, once a peaceful melody you may’ve played as white-noise, is now something that haunts your every waking breath. You can hear it even now. The whooshing of the currents, the bellowing of unseen gargantuan beasts, and the creaks and groans of the facility around you bending and bowing to the pressure of the torrential waters right outside.
Cautiously, you turn to survey the room surrounding yourself. The constant, oppressive darkness outside the thick windows doesn’t help your ramping unease. The idea that anything can be lurking in the inky depths, laying in wait for you to lower your guard. Watching, surveying. Hunting. Your palms sweat as your finger nails dig crescent imprints into your flesh. Every shuddering groan of the structure feels like another nail in your coffin. Darkly, you wonder just how many rooms- no, entire floors, have completely succumbed to the will of the sea by now. You can’t help but feel helpless, every avenue of your mind overtaken by the countless ways your life can be so quickly and effortlessly snuffed out.
What’s there not to be terrified of?
You scoff quietly. When you’d signed up for this gig, there was nowhere in the contracts explaining where exactly you’d be going. If you’d known the horrors residing in these waters, of being helplessly trapped thousands of feet where not even the sun can reach… you may’ve been a touch more hesitant to apply. Or who knows, maybe being confined to the same four-walled cell would’ve drove you here regardless. There was no point on dwelling on the millions of ‘what-ifs’. Your life was already considered forfeit, UrbanShade knew it, Sebastian knew it- hell, even the monsters knew so! It was only a matter of time before you were either swallowed whole, imploded, or drowned. The only one who seemed unable to get the memo was you.
You sigh, massaging your temples in a circular motion in an attempt to mitigate the encroaching migraine. There was no point in marinating in your own existential dread, you wouldn’t give UrbanShade nor its residents the satisfaction of breaking you. You’ve spent near your entire life bottling feelings up, old habits were hard to kick and you certainly weren’t going to try stopping them now.
A little more put together than a moment prior, you continue your journey. You were going to die soon. Maybe not right this second, but your chances of survival were incredibly slim, and you’d never considered yourself lucky or partial to gambling. The truth was plain and simple, inevitable. You were expendable and that was okay. It had to be. It must be. It will be.
Yawning, you passed through yet another sad-beige room. You must’ve opened twenty- no, maybe more like thirty doors?? Possibly??? Anyhow, point was, it was quiet. Disconcertingly so. The ambient hum of the overhead lights droning on had been slowly chipping away at your resolve. It was worrying how long you’ve gone without encountering any threats. Suspicious, even. Not once had you needed to make a detour, or find a key-card to progress. Rifling through the numerous desks in this zone hadn’t provided anything particularly useful either. Aside from the occasional ‘loose asset’ or two that you know The Merchant would be glad to take off of your hands. Oh, and a flash beacon! Though it was all-in-all a pretty lukewarm score. Regardless, you clipped the light-source onto your utility belt. You doubt you’d ever actually need it- not when you have your trusty flashlight and more batteries on hand than you could possibly ever need( Sebastian had given you an exponentially cheap price for those. Claiming it was more profitable to ‘sell them in bulk’ ). The monotonous repetition of pilfering office cubicles was mind-numbing, and you were sick of it.
Feeling frustrated, your pace quickens to that of a jog. Logically, you know you should be conserving your energy. It was reckless to be blindly racing through these halls, but you just couldn’t stand it anymore. If you had to die soon, so be it. But you weren’t going to just sit there like an appetizing bucket of chum and wait for death to come to you. You’d go down kicking and screaming.
Without you noticing it in your rising panic, your modest jog had turned into a run, and before you knew it, you were flying through rooms. Each one a never ending blur of the same layout. Cubicle, desk, door. Cubicle, desk, door. Cubicle, desk- chair? Chair!
Abruptly, you’re sent careening off-balance by an errant swivel-seat. When had that got there?Thankfully, you land on your side, the brunt force of your tumble distributing throughout your body evenly instead of in one specific location. Your expiration date could’ve been that much sooner if you’d somehow managed to break a bone. Stunned(kind of like how toddlers freeze before realizing if the situation calls for a meltdown or not), you remain curled in a fetal position on the floor, chest heaving with exertion. Remember when you said you weren’t an athletic individual? Yeah, that wasn’t an exaggeration.
A strangled wheeze erupts as you inch your hands up to your face, muffling your sounds of misery as pain ricochet’s throughout your body. It’d be one thing to land on carpet- but fuckity fuck, concrete?? Yeowch. God, you were so pathetic. This isn’t even the worst pain you’ve endured during your stay at the black-site. Maybe it was just your exhaustion, but all that big inner-monologuing over accepting your fate on your own terms and all that other melodramatic bogus- only to epically face-plant so soon afterwards? Ugh. Embarrassing. You lay motionless in a limp pile of limbs on the floor, gasping for air like a fish on land.
Slowly, you drag a palm down over your sweat-slicked face, before you rolling onto your front. Your ribcage digs into your organs, but you endure for the moment. Now that you’re not actively moving, you have a moment to catch your breath and scatter the panicked, adrenaline-filled haze that had clouded your mind.
As you lay there on the steadily, increasingly uncomfortable, hard floor; chin perched on your crossed arms, and epiphany strikes through you. This whole time, you’d been brainlessly pressing forward. Assuming there to be only the one way through. But when had this place ever been so simple? Perhaps all you needed was a new matter of perspective.
Just as the thought crossed your mind, your gaze snags on a vent-grille a little ways ahead of you. Similar in design to that of the ones you usually traverse through to visit Sebastian. Oh. Sebastian.
Thinking of the fish-man now, you’re filled with melancholy. Would he be upset if you just… didn’t return? The idea of Sebastian waiting for you to visit again but you never returning leaves a heavy feeling in your stomach. No, you couldn’t imagine him being so easily rattled by your disappearance, no matter how much you’d selfishly hope him to be. The more likely scenario, on the other hand? He probably wouldn’t even notice. The constant ebb and flow of UrbanShade volunteers was sure to prevent people like you from occupying his mind for any longer than necessary. And yet, even still knowing that the shopkeep realistically didn’t hold you in the same regard… you crave to be curled by his side. Goofing off and trading quips, stealing a few precious moments to yourself to pretend that everything was okay. Your brows up-turn, features scrunching not only in physical pain, but internal pain too. You had it bad. Whether it was a case of simply pack-bonding to the nearest individual, or (hopefully) something more akin to genuine connection remained yet to be seen.
Heartbeat no longer thudding in your chest, you rise up on scuffed knees, mildly cringing at the bloodied and torn fabric of your wetsuit. Without anymore fanfare, you crawl into the vent. Through a few winding turns you’re quickly spat out into, finally, a new room. Bouncing onto your feet, the heavy blast-door slides open, and you’re greeted by your typical scene rather than the looping office-space. You don’t waste anytime jumping through the frame, only twisting around in surprise when the door hurriedly slams closed. Well that’s odd, the doors normally stay open, no?
Confused, you watch as the screen, typically presenting the previous room’s number, is instead displaying a pixelated “>:(“
You incredulously snort, unsure how to proceed.
Deciding to err on the side of caution, you timidly shuffle before the entry-way.
“Hello?” You greet, yet it sounds more like a question. Honestly, you felt pretty ridiculous calling out to a door of all things.
The screen goes blank, nothing but a red, blinking cursor remaining stationary. What the fuck? Was someone actively hacking the screens? But why? How?? Were they friend or foe? Unsure, you wave a hand before the display. The cursor doesn’t move, nor do any new messages appear. A little perturbed, you rub your weary eyes. Was it a trick of the light? Or maybe a malfunction? Whatever the case may be, your intuition doesn’t like it. So far, it hasn’t led you astray. Wearily, you turn away from the peculiar door.
Walking down the corridor, you’re surrounded once again by thick plexiglass-glass. This time, however, it doesn’t just stop at little viewing windows. No, everything but the floor beneath your feet and the ceiling above was made of the same reinforced glass. You sway on your feet, suddenly nauseous and feeling entirely too exposed. You can feel your vision tunneling, everything except for the door ahead of you blurring out of focus like a low-resolution camera.
You feel as if you’re walking on a tight-rope, one step away from falling into the oppressive darkness on either side of you. Shakily, you try to focus your breathing. In and out. Concentrate on pulling oxygen. In and out .
So focused on what’s in front of you, you fail to notice as a sickly green light begins filter through the darkness.
Behind yourself, the odd little screen flickers back to life.
“Goodbye :)” It reads.
Sebastian, ever on the move, didn’t stay in one place for too long. Sure, there were a few, self-made outposts he frequented where he felt confident no friends would interrupt his business dealings. But he couldn’t rely entirely on the bumbling ex-convicts UrbanShade ‘hired’ to retrieve the information he sought. No, it was best that if he wanted things to get done right , he shouldn’t shuck the entirety of the workload onto the fools who didn’t even care for their cause. Which was exactly what he was doing.
His frequent routes through the complex weren’t typically above-ground. Neither did he rely too heavily on traversing through water. He was sore to admit it, but despite his genetic ‘enhancements’, there were much bigger fish than him lurking about the complex. Ones that didn’t bargain, nor were they nearly as susceptible to the ways of persuasion as humans were. No, just like him, his fellow test-subjects were nearly all carnivorous in nature. They all hungered so deeply, so ravenously that they rarely deigned to even take a moment to consider before lunging. No amount of shared trauma or sympathies were greater than the hollow of their stomachs. Sebastian’s expression sours.
His current path took him through the utility tunnels, a labyrinth of narrow, concrete halls that he had mapped out over countless excursions. Here, he was less likely to encounter any unwelcome reunions that roamed the more typical halls. His movements were swift and silent, honed by years of surviving in this underwater hellscape.
Body on auto-pilot, Sebastian’s thoughts drifted to you, as they so often did these days. Especially so since your last visit. Sebastian’s chest warms as he recalls the way you’d looked(admired, really) at him. As if he were anything but a monster. Of how you had called him pretty. How stupidly sincere you were, refusing to backtrack as any other sane person in your shoes would do- even as he gave you ample time to do so. He curses his tender heart, maybe the only part of him left that was well and truly human. Most days he wishes that the scientists who swapped his organs and irreparably altered his body would’ve taken his heart too. It certainly would’ve made things a lot easier.
As his mind circles back to you, a small flicker of concern breaches through the current of his thoughts. You were stubborn, he’d give you that, but how long could you really last down here? He knew UrbanShade’s plans, their blatant disregard for human life- er, life in general. Everyone down here was expendable, a pawn in their grand plan. He didn’t want to admit it, but he had grown… accustomed, of your visits. Of your banter and your resilience. It’s been so long since someone’s looked at him and seen anything else other than a ghastly experiment. You spoke with him, really spoke with him, not just at him. Plus, you didn’t even mind his crass attitude- hell! You even matched it more often than not. Most others in your place wouldn’t dare to rebuke his snark. In a cruel place devoid of connection, you were a rare exception.
He shook his head, clearing away any residual gooey ‘sentiments’. Sentimentality was a weakness he couldn’t afford. He had a mission, and attachments would only complicate things. Still, as he navigated the dark passageways, he couldn’t shake the tentative hope of being able to see you again. Wouldn’t that be nice?
There’s a great bellow somewhere above, undoubtedly from that of the ‘eyefestation’. It was one of the more ‘tame’ byproducts of the black-site’s experiments. Well, as tame as anything down here could be. It was sentient, for a start. Sebastian wasn’t sure by how much exactly, and didn’t particularly care- nor had the time to find out. What was important was that it was free of its enclosure now, all thanks to him.
Poor thing, it’s always been easily picked on by the humans. With a long, suffering sigh, Sebastian once again curses his bleeding heart. Soundlessly, he makes a detour to the upper levels.

Summary: “I don’t want you spoiling it before he sees it.” You whinged and whined.
Tumblr media
You were certain Simon would have tasted them before. But nothing shocked you more than hearing his deep voice say the word 'no' and then followed with a 'I haven't had something like that'.
In your own humble opinion, this needed to be rectified and fast. At beyond light speed levels of urgency. No, you don't care if it wasn't a real emergency. Your heart is dead set on spoiling him rotten.
You pulled out all the stops to ensure the whole thing went as smoothly as possible. John was told by you half a dozen times to keep it a surprise because, “I don’t want you spoiling it before he sees it.” You whinged and whined.
John? Well, he smirked and replied, “Aye, I ken he would enjoy it lass, but it’s not about what he enjoys, is it? It’s about the surprise.”
“Yes. Absolutely. Now, come on, I want to show you the teas I picked out to go with it.” You were brimming with so much excitement. “I got Earl Grey, some of that fancy French blend you mentioned, plus some other ones I haven’t tried yet.”
John smiled from ear to ear, fully, knowing just how much worked you put into this in just a few hours. You weren’t the type for grand gestures for yourself. No. No, you preferred going all out on them and them alone. You loved spoiling them to bits. As you pulled him into the captain’s quarters to show him how much work you’ve done so far.
“Just wait till he sees this. He’s going to love it, isn’t he?” You couldn’t hide your excitement.
John smirked, whispering in your ear, “I think he’ll love it.” He surveyed the meticulously arranged tray of pastries. “Aye, I think he’ll melt from the sweetness of it all, lass. You’ve got the touch, that’s for sure.” His eyes twinkled with mirth, enjoying your enthusiasm.
“And the tablecloth? It is made from a linen with white lace on the edges just to create a softer atmosphere. I even got matching seat cushions.” You were beyond excited. “And the blue isn’t a pastel blue or a baby blue. It’s more of a blue-gray colour tone.”
As you continued to set the room up, Simon and Price were sent off on purpose to get odd things to keep Simon busy and to keep Price from spoiling the surprise for Simon too.
The purple candles smelling of lavender were set up around the room to give off a welcoming scent inside the cabin. The candlelight danced off the surfaces of the ebony varnished and  polished wood. You went as far as to procure a fresh bouquet of Lilly of The Valley flowers to give a gentler appeal.
“Nikolai, is there anything else I can add?” you asked him, you loved getting the Russian’s input on things like this. It was like he knew how to make everything ten times more extravagant without it being too over the top.
Nikolai, the burly man with a heart of gold, looked around the cabin, stroking his beard in thought. “Da, I believe a bottle of fine brandy would be a fitting addition to this delightful surprise, yes?” His eyes sparkled with a knowing look.
Gaz interjected with, “How about some of those rare cigars we picked up from that merchant in Tortuga? They’re supposed to be the best in the seven seas, and I reckon this occasion calls for it, doesn’t it?”
“ooo good thinking, if you know where I stashed them, we can add them too.” You remarked.
Once Simon and Price came back to see what you did for him? The look on his face was priceless, no one in his life had ever gone out of their way to do something like this before and all he could muster, “Why did you go and do that for?” He was clearly tearing up at the gesture alone.
You looked at him with a mischievous smile on your face, “Because I think you deserve it, far more than you think you do.”
Simon visibly and audibly moved by it. He looked around the entire room, taking in all the candles, the sweet scent of lavender in the air, and the soft blue-gray tones. The intimate, serene ambiance. He wasn’t one for grand gestures or romantic surprises. The genuine thought, effort, and enthusiasm behind it all. It had rendered him speechless.
You pulled him into a bear hug before he could say anything else, adding another layer of warmth and affection to the already surprising gesture laid out. To the world, he’s ghost. For you? He’s Simon. Simon, the guy with dark humour and dry sarcasm that you enjoyed so much.
They suppose this is the moment when they all knew, you were theirs and theirs alone.

Chapter 2: Fourth Division Commanders

_____________________________________________________
You looked back and forth between Vista and Oldest Brother. Looking between them you could see some physical similarities. They had the same body type and predilection for wearing open shirts. Vista was grinning widely and even Oldest had a small smile on his face. Something you had never seen before - it was a little unnerving.
Vista came up to his brother, pinched his cheek and hugged him about the neck. Oldest gave him a friendly pat on the shoulder and said to the pirate “looking as ugly as ever Brother.” All the men laughed with no malice. Vista happily faced his companions gesturing to Oldest and said “My oldest brother. Call him Oldest. You met Heavy and Baby last night. The three of them stayed here with Da while I went out to sea and they opened this bar. It was always just the three of them here after Da died.”
He surveyed you with a mildly amused expression on his face “that is, until now. Seems a sister has joined the family.” Oldest just grunted as his response and took the folded newspaper from under his arm and placed it on the bar top. You were thankful Oldest was there so you didn’t have to respond.
You realized you were pinching the skin on the sides of your fingers - never a good sign. It was time to go. “Nice meeting everyone,” you said while holding up your hand in a small wave “but I’m going to get going.”
“Sit girl” Oldest said simply. His tone didn’t have any wiggle room for misinterpretation. You didn’t sit down but didn’t move any farther away either. He gave you an intense stare that you didn’t know how to interpret.
“Thought you said you weren’t a pirate” he finally said in his gravelly voice.
Your eyebrows pinched together in the middle. You had no idea what he was talking about. “I’m not,” you said with confusion in your voice. The others in the bar had become quiet, watching the interaction play out.
“Look then,” as he opened the folded newspaper and slid a wanted poster your way. Your anxiety was increasing second by second. You turned over the paper and glanced down. It was a picture of you, from about a year ago. You looked much thinner, and your eyes were glassy - almost dead inside. You had no expression on your face besides general misery. You were dirty and had a thin shirt covering your bony chest.
WANTED: Y/N L/N - 4th Division Commander of the Twisted Pirates
ALIVE ONLY. BOUNTY - 25,000 Beri.
Below that was a physical description of you that was nearly accurate. It also included your “crime” of sinking a merchant Marine vessel and going on the run for years.
You gripped the paper between both hands. This couldn’t be happening this couldn’t be happening what was this what was happening. You couldn’t hear anything you couldn’t see anything you were just looking at the paper only the paper. Your neck felt like it was filled with stinging bees. What were you going to do what were you going to do you couldn’t go back you couldn’t go back you couldn’t go back they were gonna take you back gonna find you gonna take you
You were jerked out of your thought loop when Oldest gently touched your shoulder. You looked up at him with your eyes as wide as they could go. He said something you couldn’t hear. You were looking at him but also not looking at him at anything at anyone. Were you in your body? Was he talking to you? Or were you looking at yourself from outside your body. Pinch your fingers to find out if its real pinch harder pinch...
You did suddenly remember there were other people there. Your heart was pounding but your limbs felt numb. You couldn’t remember what was happening but you needed out. Now. Outside now or you were going to puke inside. Puke inside clean it up puke again clean it up again again again. Outside was always better always better could breathe could move always better. You felt like you were dying were you dying dying dying would dying be better? Gonna die on that ship gonna die on that ship gonna die gonna die. Still clutching the paper you mumbled to him “g’na take a break.” You tried to walk as normally as you could manage to the door out to the back alley.
Oldest watched you leave the bar. He sighed and ran his hand through his hair. Marco, Thatch, Vista exchanged a look between them.
“What?” said Ace shrugging a shoulder at them. “It’s not even a high bounty. It’s not that big of a deal.”
“You fuckin’ idiot,” Thatch said as he smacked Ace on the back of the head. He started following after you out the back door of the bar.
Marco POV
He didn’t know who was more surprised over the Wanted poster - you or him. You were clearly not a pirate - and definitely not a Commander. You were uncomfortable with seemingly any conflict -which was kind of a prerequisite for being an outlaw. And your reaction to the poster had been extreme. Looking down at the poster, he saw your old picture and frowned. You were obviously being mistreated by someone during that time. And it seems they wanted you back.
He halfway listened to Vista talking to his brother. Vista’s brothers were good people - Marco had known them for a long time. It was always nice to visit the Brothers - and they usually gave out some free booze too. But his mind kept wandering back to you. There were so many unanswered questions and surprises from the day that he wanted to dig into, especially with the addition of this new information.
His first surprise had come when you opened the door. Having graced the doorway of The Brothers Bar for many years, he had been expecting the grizzled Heavy or even a surly Baby to open the door. Instead, he had looked down at a sweet looking someone. Never in all the years he had known the Brothers had they ever hired anyone. Especially not a woman. He wasn’t even sure he had ever seen more than a handful of women in the bar over the years.
But there you were, hair piled high on top of your head, wearing worn clothes with your sleeves rolled up, a too-large apron dwarfing your body. You were a sweet little thing, looking annoyed and professional at the same time. Physically, you were definitely his type - in a different setting, he would have flirted with you to try to get you into his bed. Or maybe even join him and Thatch - he and Thatch had similar interests and shared a few women over the years. But you were anxious at seeing them and clearly wanted them gone. Unfortunately for you, you didn’t have the courage - or maybe the ability - to say no to them coming into the bar.
Despite your timid nature you didn’t immediately tell the pirates that Ace was there when questioned. You deflected their questions even though you were outnumbered and outclassed. You even went to speak with Ace privately before he entered the room in case he needed time to fight or flee. From Ace’s story, he knew you had met that morning so it's not like you were old friends. Why were you being so…kind? Why were you being so protective of Ace, someone you had just met? Normally civilians were either indifferent to pirates or outright hostile. It seemed that you helped Ace and didn’t ask anything in return. Were you trying to curry favor with Oyaji? It didn’t seem likely since you didn’t ask any of them any questions about their activities or even seem to recognize them at first sight.
An even more surprising event from the morning was that Ace had actually showered in your apartment. Ace was normally emotionally distant from strangers. Polite, charming, handsome, charismatic, but distant. He only truly relaxed when he was with his siblings or alone on Striker. Thatch’s comment wasn’t too far off either - the Whitebeard Pirate commanders usually had a pool going betting on when Ace would shower next. The longest he had gone without showering was 22 days, and it only ended because they strong armed him into the shower after they could no longer bear his stench. Ace was a little more feral than most people knew. Ace didn’t comply with any social etiquette that he didn’t want to, being raised by tigers or lions or whatever it was he said was on that island.
But for you, he had taken a shower (with soap!), brushed his hair, drank what you gave him, ate your food, followed you around, hung on your every word, probably sniffed your panties… Ace certainly warmed up to you quickly. Marco wondered if Ace had also found you as cute and edible as he did... Ace was young and inexperienced but seemed like he’d be eager to learn. Maybe with a guiding hand he could join in with you and…Marco yanked his thoughts away from the subject. More to think on at a later time.
With that, he could also admit to himself that his feathers were a little ruffled that you had recognized Ace but not himself, Vista, or Thatch. They had been around a lot longer than Ace had and their bounties were higher. They were iconic pirates after all! His ego was bruised more than anything. He was going to ask you about it later - maybe when things were less tense.
The back door opened and Heavy and Baby entered the bar. Similar to their brother, they grunted, took a shot, then smiled at Vista. Non verbal communication went a long way with Vista’s family it seemed.
“Oi. Oldest. Vista’s in town.”
“No shit Baby. You couldn’t have told me last night?”
“Nah, was too drunk with Mustachio and Birdy here. Had a table throwing contest. Besides, you seemed to have figured it out all right.”
After greeting the other two brothers, Marco started tuning back into what everyone was talking about. You were on everyone’s mind that morning.
“See the papers?” spat out Heavy.
“Yep” replied Oldest and Baby in unison.
“It’s fucked” retorted Heavy. “She’s no pirate, can’t hold a sword, knife, gun, nothing. Don’t think I’ve ever seen her make a fist even. Can’t turn a corner without shaking like a leaf. If she’s a Commander, I’m Whitebeard. Something is going on.” The three Brothers and Vista all simultaneously crossed their arms and started frowning. If not for the topic of conversation it would have been something Marco teased them about.
“Why’d you hire her yoi?” asked Marco during the brief lull.
The Brothers looked at one another. Heavy and Baby tilted their heads towards Oldest who narrowed his eyes at them in annoyance and began. “Well, see, it’s like this,” started Oldest “Obviously her fruit power is helpful, we won't deny that. Saves us buckets of Beri almost every day. But the truth is we didn’t really hire her. We found her. A few months ago, there was a shipwreck and crates from the destroyed boat started washing ashore. We were openin’ ‘em, taking whatever was inside ‘em. Well, we opened one, and there she was. Sealed inside, starved skinny as a skeleton, and nearly dead…

An idea I had last night: Jacob survives.
So, instead of the amulet just making everyone drop dead, we're going with the curse being a plague. (Thank you @irenes-journal for turning the plague amulet idea into what it is today.)
In canon, the amulet kills everyone save the person holding it, so the plague amulet would theoretically grant one person immunity, or at least resistance. How it grants some kind of immunity/resistance is by releasing antibodies for the plague, slowly at first to acclimatize the body a bit before it floods the system, and Jacob got some of the antibodies before he gave it to Aaron.
He was the first to fall ill, and he took twice as long to succumb to the illness than anyone else infected did. The town doctor died before Jacob did, so when he fell into a coma that looked a whole lot like death, he was mistaken for dead.
Lily was barely holding on herself at this point, and Aaron came back from burying the day's dead to find his wife and son dead in Jacob's room. Lily worshipped Menphia and some minor gods, being from Tu'la, and raised Jacob to do the same since Aaron's side of the family doesn't worship any recognized religion (Ultima stuff is for later), and there was a small tomb previously made for when Lily and her children died according to Tu'lan burial practices. Which gives Jacob some more time than he'd have in a grave to get out before he runs out of air.
Aaron goes on burying bodies and surveying the sick while he mourns his own family's loss. Jacob wakes up maybe a day or two later in the dark with what remains of Lily. Obviously, he freaks out, crying out for help, and no one comes. Fueled by adrenalin and fear, he manages to open the tomb door just enough for him to squeeze through, and he finds the streets covered in graves. He has no idea what's going on, no clue how long it's been, but he runs home and his dad's not there and all the streets he's run down are empty and stinking of rot. He needs his dad to not be dead, so he comes up with this idea that obviously Aaron thought he was dead like everyone else and left.
And so Jacob packs a bag and sets out to leave Falconclaw, and he leaves barely an hour before Aaron gets home. They just miss each other.
Jacob isn't well. He collapses on the road and wakes up in a merchant caravan bound for some village way North. He asks if any of them have seen his father, says he's the son of the Lord of Falconclaw, and one of the mercenaries hired to guard the caravan sees an opportunity. By the time the caravan reaches its destination, Aaron is already in O'khasis being groomed by Zane to become a Juror.
Jacob is snatched off the street by the same mercenaries who were guarding the caravan and sold to someone visiting from Tu'la, and he winds up a servant boy for one of the king's vassal clans. Maybe Nana's, maybe the one his mother escaped from. The plague left him incredibly scarred, so for a long time he's a faceless, bandaged figure in the shadows of the house, all this anger and frustration building up inside him at not being able to figure out a way home, until one day the master of the house thinks it'd be funny to match a servant boy against one of his soldier-apprentices.
And Jacob wins. No training, having thrown away his weapon and beaten the other boy with his bare hands until they were dripping in blood. He's sent to the gladiator pits, maybe the same ones Liochant grew up in, and as long as he has his anger he dominates. His contract is bought by some wealthy noble with a penchant for collecting pretty, broken things, and on the road he kills them and flees into the night.
By the time he gets back to O'khasis, Aaron's time on the Jury is over and he's disappeared completely, having forsaken his own name and become The Stranger. This is when Jacob finally hears about, finally confirms, the fall of Falconclaw. He goes to Zianna, waiting for her to be out in town before he approaches her. She and his mother considered themselves sisters, once, and Zianna had been an excellent spy in Tu'la, if anyone would help him it'd be her. All Zianna has to give him is rumors, but anything is better than nothing.
He takes it, he thanks her, he goes on the road trying to find his father, and gets waylaid a bunch on the way by saving people and taking out the mercenary company that sold him to that Tu'lan visitor and into years of servitude and gladiator rings. He had a number of names in Tu'la, but he goes back to the name from a lifetime ago, introducing himself everywhere he goes as Jacob Lycan, son of Aaron Lycan, last Lord of Falconclaw, in an effort to see if his father will be drawn to the man using his son's name. By the time he makes it all the way around to Phoenix Drop, it's the middle of the Irene Dimension time skip, and since no one knew who The Stranger was or ever really saw his face, they don't realize that that's exactly who Jacob is looking for.
He goes back to Falconclaw, thinking maybe he can find some clues where this all started. It's practically the same as he left it since everyone thinks the land is extremely cursed, and in looking through their home he finds books on the teaching of his father's faith. He fits his father's old clothes, his old faith. He takes whatever he cares to keep from the Lycan estate and visits Lily's tomb before he leaves, and not a day later he comes across Abby, who's taken to the road hoping to find a lead on the woman she believes killed her father, Lady Katelyn the Firefist, who disappeared without a trace years ago about the same time High Priest Zane Ro'Meave and a few other Jurors did. She and Jacob agree to help each other and become good friends, and eventually they round back to Phoenix Drop.
A week after Aaron died.
Jacob introduces Abby first, notes that the Lord, or maybe she's the Lord's mother, seems to know who Abby is, and then he introduces himself. As Jacob Lycan, son of Aaron Lycan, last Lord of Falconclaw. And the look on this Lord's face is indescribable. She asks to speak with Jacob alone.
She tells him about his father in the last part of his life. She tells him how he saved her several times, taught her to fight, saved her guards, those two over there. That one he sacrificed himself for just last week, when he saved the man from another realm and finally got vengeance for his family and village. How he once said that when his journey was done, when he had taken the life of the man who cursed them all, he would finally be at peace with his wife and son.
Then there's a child's cry, and suddenly Jacob is being introduced to two little girls who his father helped raise. To his sisters.
He can't even process it properly before he hears Abby scream, and suddenly he is running to pull her off a blue-haired woman and holding her, thrashing and spitting vitriol, yelling how she thought of Katelyn like her mother, as Katelyn explains what really happened that day, and everything Abby has been keeping inside her for years spills out in wave after wave of tears. She clings to Jacob, and he finds himself crying too. If only they had known the truth earlier.
If they'd only learned the truth earlier, Abby wouldn't have spent so long hating an innocent woman she once adored, and Jacob could have seen his father again. Maybe if he'd known Aaron was The Stranger, if he'd known to wait in Phoenix Drop, Aaron would be alive. He would have had his son to live for.
They can't make themselves stay there once they know the truth. They're not ready. Abby tells Katelyn she'll be back to catch up later, and Jacob tells the Lord he'd like to meet his sisters another time, and with Jacob's quest over they go to hunt the Jury of Nine for Jeffory Goldenheart.

cw: drabble, a little venty, loneliness as the theme
pairing: Volo/Reader
Loneliness was a bitter feeling.
There simply was no denying that.
Its very grip was icy and brutal on an already stressed mind. The words it whispered in one's mind could not be understated. A feeling that was haunting and solely exacerbated by seeing those around you so happily put together within their own groups.
Hisui was a lonely place.
Widely uninhabited by humans and filled to the brim with things that would seek to end one's life, the groups there were quite close-knit and quite callous towards outsiders. Someone unknown and foreign to the lands of familiarity would be given a scornful look and blamed solely for any unfortunate happenings, whether it was even possible for them to cause such a thing to occur.
You had wanted to believe that you had made friends. Your captain could be harsh, but there was a strange softness that you swore she held. The professor was kinder than most, having originally taken the most pity on your situation. Perhaps it was his position as another outsider coming through to aid one similar, though. The teenaged survey corps member had certainly taken something like an amicable feeling towards you, clearly happy to have more help in their unit. But, in the end, when you were kicked out. There was no one that could have saved you. The commander's orders were final.
No empty encouragement from your thought to be friends could save you from the offerings of the wilderness. The clans would reject you, too, unable to risk their standings with the Galaxy Team. You felt impossibly alone. The cold temperatures of Hisui ate at your body as a frigid feeling settled into your limbs. Your eyes closed. It felt hopeless. Where could you go? What could you do? The sun was slowly being consumed by the unsettling horizon.
You pressed your knees to your chest as your eyes burned. Why? Why were you blamed for this? Because you fell from a portal? Why not blame that eccentric Warden in the Highlands, too, then? You tried to wipe away the tears that poured endlessly. It was as pointless as your attempts to earn a good standing within the Galaxy Team. Why had... Whatever that being was that brought you here? To suffer? A hiccup left you. Everyone looked at you as if you were a monster. Another sob wretched your throat. Why? It was all you could think of. This situation felt insurmountable.
A hand unexpectedly began to rub your back. You tensed and turned your head around to see who it was. The odd merchant stared down at you with a solemn expression. You felt worse knowing that someone was seeing you in such a horrid state. Trying to curl more into yourself, you hated that you had even been pushed into such a mindset. Volo sat down beside you with a sigh. Something seemed to be running through his mind when you dared sneak a peek at him.
He closed his eyes for a moment. “… People are truly cruel, aren't they?” His voice was a departure from its usual volume and cadence, “I heard the news already. A good merchant knows well the importance of staying abreast all the latest news.” You felt like shrivelling up more inside. It was spreading around that you were the cause of the situation with the sky. How long until the whole of Hisui blamed you and saw you as a threat? Surely then, even those with whom you found friendships would shove you away. Your reaction drew something out in Volo. Something distant in his mind. His hand came to rest on your back.
Grey eyes stared out onto the water below. “My…” the blond sighed, “Nothing hurts quite like this, does it? Being rejected by those around you for something completely out of your control—being seen as a threat or strange for simply existing as you are.” You shifted to look at him properly again at his words. Blinking, you considered them carefully. Was Volo... familiar with your situation? He seemed far too amicable to ever find him in something like you were in.
“… You are not alone,” his hand came to cup your cheek, “I can assure you that much.” His thumb wiped away a few stray tears as you met his gaze. Something in it felt so different from the usual gaze they drew. “… Why must we experience these painful and heartbreaking things? It is unfair, isn't it?” Volo seemed to truly understand your thoughts at that moment, “… But worry not. There are still corners of the Hisui region where we can stash you away in secret. I know a spot that will be the perfect hideaway. Leave it all up to me!”
His hand moved to grasp your hand instead. You squeezed it softly. There were callouses on the skin, yet its warmth was more than comforting. Your cheek radiated with that same heat. More was spreading, however. You followed along as he began to lead you through the region with expert knowledge.
However, he did say one last thing, before you two departed.
“… Would it not be nice to create a new, better world without all this pain?”
You almost felt inclined to agree.

Goodnight Sweet Dreams Dear Vol. 16 Mike Zacharias
[People say, dreams are mirrors that reflect the heart.
Does sleep bring the tranquility needed to forget the ruthlessness of the day, or is it an abyss harsher than reality?]
“We’ve invited the chief and the squad leaders. Please eat.”
At a mansion owned by a wealthy merchant in the suburbs, there appeared Survey Corps members in full uniform.
This merchant is very important, since he helped Survey Corps that lacked funds, and helps funds their expeditions.
“Please drink this glass of wine.”
“…Erwin.”
When he was talking with one of his comrades, Erwin ‘accidentally’ dropped his glass.
“Sorry.”
“No, no, it’s alright. Would Squad Leader Mike like some too?”
“I’m not a good drinker, water is fine.”
“Thanks, Mike. Was there a drug in it?”
“Ahh.”
“They probably thought the Survey Corps isn’t worth to invest in, so they wanted to switch to the Garrison. They were planning to make a scandal once I lose my composure. Seems like that’s it for our partnership.”
On the carriage that brought them back to town from the suburbs, Erwin and Mike talked about their views.
However, it’s different outside the walls, where mankind struggle together. In the battle against the hidden enemies and the titans, Mike’s smelling ability has an important use.
In the rocking carriage, Erwin gave out a bitter smile.
“Your smelling ability is godly, good for you.”
You even know what you didn’t need to know, Mike felt like he saw that look in Erwin’s eyes, snorted, and gave no answer.
…the sound of the rocking carriage, unconsciously turned into the sound of the horses he rode with his comrades.
“S, squad leader! We can’t use this route! There’s the smell of blood!”
“Shut up, Mike Zacharias. We haven’t got any info from the commander.”
“But, this smell, it must be the titans…”
“Don’t talk too much! There aren’t any smoke signals!”
When Mike had just joined the Survey Corps, Erwin hadn’t invented the long-range battle formation, all information was spread by the smoke signals.
“Damn… why didn’t anyone believe me?”
Even when he was young, Mike was able to tell the smell of blood and sense danger. He had detected the enemy’s territory, however, being a new soldier, his idea wasn’t accepted.
“My trainee class is in front of us, if I want to survive…”
At the end of the expedition, Mike lost some comrades. It happened many times until his ability was recognized and he got promoted…
“Mike, we’re arriving soon.”
The rocking carriage made a rocky noise.
“Did I fall asleep?”
“You’ve been asleep for a while.”
Mike sniffed around, and smelt his own tears. The tears flowing from his eyes, probably was caused by the nostalgia of the pain in his dreams.
Without showing it in his face, he looked forward, and casually said:
“You were saying I’m unfortunate.”
“Is it about the smelling ability?
Mike nodded and let out a smile.
“Now that I think about it… it doesn’t hurt as much now because I’m useful in the battles.”
Erwin looked at Mike, who’d suddenly become talkative, and let out a laugh after listening to him.
“I’ll count on you next time.”
“Ahh. As long as it’s within my ability.”
The two of them remained silent as the carriage passed through the town gate; they were the men that commands the Survey Corps.
