About me - UPDATED!

So a little about me, or as much as I feel comfy giving out on Tumblr.

I'm a speech-language pathologist, newly minted as of Spring 2024 (finished CFY). I had been chronicling little bits of my grad school journey on my main blog in-between random silly stuff and Star Trek geekery.

I graduated in May of 2023 from my alma mater (went there for both bachelor's and master's). However, this was after being rejected by them and the other school I applied to my first cycle. I regrouped, rebuilt myself, reapplied, and got in off a waiting list. (I say this to give all my young future grad school applicants hope.)

I worked in pediatric private practice, what I thought was my dream setting, for CFY and for several months after. My clinic downsized and was generally not a good fit for me, so I went back to work in pediatric home health, which isn't bad but is challenging in maintaining cash flow. However, it fits my brain better and I prefer my team in my current company. Someday, I hope to be an SLP supervisor.

I am medically diagnosed AuDHD as of this year, after having long suspected I was (since at least my late teens if not earlier). I am a level 1 Autistic and am currently trying to get on medication to manage my ADHD. If I find solutions for the problem that is Documentation Hell, I will happily share strategies for my fellow neurodiverse speechies.

I am a non-traditional grad; I began undergrad later than most and was the second oldest student in my cohort.

I'm extremely geeky and goofy

I identify as a demigirl, which is a non-binary gender identity. I'm not publicly out as I live in an area that is not always the kindest to LGBTQIA, but I find it wise to let y'all know this here. I am barely learning about what it means to embrace who I am.

I'm of Mexican descent and extremely passionate about bilingual advocacy.

My favorite areas of the field are AAC, autism and ADHD, pediatric feeding, and early intervention. Ask me about these and I'll talk your ear off.

I started this sideblog as I began to run into more and more aspiring SLPs on Tumblr, many of them looking at grad school, many neurodiverse. I wanted to share my experiences as like a practical guide to help others.

Hey, y'all.

Thanks for sticking with me throughout this thing we call life.

I apologize for having pulled out of the Zine O' Biology so late and for not making any new updates to Safe for months.

I lost my private practice job (my location closed) back some months ago, and had to return to home health but as an SLP. It's been better for me, but it's been a serious adjustment, and I am still very burnt out from the stress, overloading of my caseload, and everything. This came on the heels of moving into my own apartment finally, which has been good for me, but has also been a lot of stress and has also given me space to realize just how much I was bracing for impact where I lived before. In addition, after many years of research, saving money, and suspecting I was AuDHD, I finally received my dual diagnosis of Autism and ADHD this August, although I'm still awaiting the final paperwork so I can finally get treatment for my ADHD. My body kind of wants to just crash, shut down, process, and heal, but unfortunately I have no time to do so, as I must work and help pay the rent and put food on the table. Plus, I admittedly go stir crazy being away from my beloved field for too long.

I'm not sure why I'm posting this; I guess I just feel bad because I made a lot of promises or at least said I would do a lot of things and didn't deliver. I know I've fallen off the grid kind of, and haven't even been here to mentor new SLP students. I'm really sorry for ghosting everyone, but I'm hopeful I will finally be back and ready to reenter the fandom space as the year fades out.

The process of Lucky draw

1. Ticket-claim time: 11.20 00:00 - 08:00(UTC)

Please note that the ticket number ranges from 00001 to 99999. Users can draw a number of tickets based on the draw order. Each user can get multiple tickets. The system will allocate based on the time of drawing, and each account will be allocated tickets based on the MX Position and trading volume.

2. Draw results will be released at 10:00, November 20 (UTC). Participants can visit the MEXC Mday page to check if they are holding on to any winning tickets.

3. Settlement time: MX will be used for the exchange of the ANTEX token that the participants have won. The system will deduct the MX from the winners' account at 12:00, November 20 2021 (UTC). Therefore, winners shall have enough MX balance (except the frozen MX) to exchange ANTEX tokens before the specified time. Otherwise, it will be deemed that the participant voluntarily forfeits participation rights.

The amount of MX to be deducted= (Number of winning tickets *ANTEX*0.00025USDT) / MX average price

The average price of MX will be the average closing price from November 17, based on the UTC+8 timezone, to November 19.

4. Draw method: Users draw independently and win the lot randomly. After the user wins, the system will automatically complete the asset exchange.

Note:

1. In order to ensure the fairness of the activity, after the user claims the ticket, the MX used for the draw will be frozen until the end of the draw. During the freezing period, users cannot trade or withdraw MX.

2. The holdings considered in this session will be limited to the assets available in your spot asset account, excluding assets that may be pending or frozen.

3. Terms 1 and 2 are alternatives on an either-or basis, i.e. if a user meets any one of the term’s criteria, he/she will be eligible to claim the lottery tickets.

4. Ticket Claims can only be done once per term (1 for Major Cryptos Round, 1 for MX Holding Round). Please make sure you have hit your desired trading volume before claiming your tickets for each round. Trading volume accumulated after claiming your tickets will not reward additional tickets.

Participation prize: Users who did not receive any winning tickets from the draw will still be able to claim from the participation prize pool of remaining sales tokens in proportion to the number of losing tickets in possession respectively.

I'm officially finished with clinical fellowship year. I'm now licensed as an SLP in my state.

And I just received my CCC-SLP designation yesterday afternoon.
