What concerns me with the humans are space orcs stuff oddly enough was humanity's clothing,
Looking at mass effect and other SciFi games and films the clothes suck, boring and basic design all round.
Then I look at what we wore around the 1800s, where did our sense of fashion go?
Security chief Thron frowned as they looked down at the human, classified as; "Stowaway" in the holding cell.
Xe didn't know how the conversation had spun around to this topic, but it was engaging enough to pass the hours until they reached the next spaceport to hand the human over to the proper authorities. "Human fashion is so boring."
Jupiter classified themselves as a "Hitchhiker" but after a few hours in the cell and settled on an "agree to disagree" mentality with the security chief.
They shook their head. "You've clearly not met the right humans."
Thronn shook xyr head, "I have met many humans during my service."
"Oh service," Jupiter rolled their eyes. "You can't judge human fashion based on those guys in the service. Uniforms don't count."
"It is not just humans within the service I have met. We are a cargo vessel, we bring many useful supplies to many fledgling colonies, human ones included."
Jupiter shook their head, "new colonies? You're judging fashion by what you see on the new colonies?"
"Then what of your garments? Dull colourings all over your person. Little accoutrements to be seen. Very boring. Very typical of human stowaways."
"Hitchhikers." Jupiter corrected. "You can't judge hitchhikers and colonists. They don't have the resources to waste on fancy stuff, and I've got to travel light. It's all about keeping it simple. Hardwearing stuff that lasts a long time and could be easily replaced or repaired. And the dark colours help me hide when I'm stow... hitchhiking."
Thronn decided xe would let that slip of the tongue pass without comment.
Jupiter looked xem up and down. Even in a uniform, the alien had been allowed a few accessorires of cultural significance. It certainly added splashes of colour to the usually dull grey security uniform. A small headdress with a bright embroidered pattern, a sash around the waist with a matching design, and an epaulette on the shoulder made of small conical seashells stitched onto silk and painted in bright colours.
It was certainly more than Jupiter had going on. They had a navy blue bomber jacket, dark shirt, dark khaki trousers, brown hiking boots, a black and white shemagh wrapped around her neck and a dark green and black rucksack usually slung over her back, but right now it was sitting outside the cell in an evidence locker. The closest to an accessory they had going on was a few ID patches sewn onto the jacket and bag. Name, species, blood type, and world of origin.
Photographs and memories were their souvenirs.
"Have you ever been to any of the long-established colonies? Any that have been around for a century or more?"
Thronn shook xyr head, "I haven't. The ship's duties only take us around the border worlds."
"Then you haven't seen what humans are really capable of when they get comfortable." Jupiter pointed over to the locker holding their bag. "There are some pictures on my datapad. I managed to visit Port Marinda, Alforanza, and New Barcelona last year, they're all human colonies, all about two hundred years old. Go on, get the pad and I'll show you the pictures."
Against xyr better judgement, Thronn opened the locker and retrieved the datapad. Xe opened a small hatch in the holding cell, usually used to pass meals through.
Jupiter scrolled through the pictures until they found the folder holding the pictures of their visit to New Barcelona. The pictures showed the wonderful countryside of rolling hills of silver and purple grass, scattered with trees with leaves of bright orange. Sunglasses were a must when walking in the countryside because of the risk of violent headaches, especially on sunny days. The sunsets were simply stunning, and they had amazing local fruit that looked like a red banana and tasted like raspberry and dark chocolate.
The capital city was also a sight to see. Tall, wavy and twisting buildings that looked like bright coral growing right out of the ground. Each one was a different colour so every district contained a rainbow of either bright or pastel shades.
The people were equally bright and ingenious in their clothing. Jupiter turned the screen to show Thronn a picture they'd taken of a picturesque street market.
Thronn looked at the handful of humans in the picture. One human wore a colourful dress that looked almost like millions of feathers sewn together. Even in the still image, xe could imagine how they would shimmer in the light.
Another human, a male, he wore a bright green suit, covered with silver, gossamer-like webbing which rose out of the shoulders, spreading behind him, resembling small wings.
Xe spotted a person Xe almost thought wasn't human at all until xe realised that their skin was painted from the neck down. Covering the paint was a simple dress that looked like a net. Where each thread crisscrossed with another, a brightly coloured jewel had been sewn.
One human being, who looked to be talking with a shopkeeper over some sort of food, was dressed in an elegant gown of a bright colourful fabric that looked like a sunset itself had been turned into the material that made the garment.
There was a tall adolescent human was dressed in a tight full-body outfit with an elaborate headdress which covered their entire face with a snake-like mask. You couldn't see the human and it gave Thronn an almost unsettling impression of a large bipedal reptile moving among the humans.
"You see," Jupiter said. "Forget uniforms, travellers and frontier colonies. Just give humans time to settle down, get some resources to spare and watch their imaginations fly."
Thronn had to admit it. Human fashion was not boring.

Completely felt - I wanted to (selfishly) request a pre relationship w bradley where he like comes over to r’s place and there’s like a random assortment of handyman tasks that are either poorly done or waiting to get done. I’m in my acts of service era. But of course do not feel pressure I will love u regardless
this is so juicy i took 1000 years to write it!!! pre-relationship with the promise of something more :) <3 hope you like! | fluff, pre-relationship, 1.3k
Your new place is a dream come true apart from all of the work it needs. The sink leaks, the kitchen cupboard is crooked, the lock on the bathroom door sticks. The lawn is a mess and the brick path to the front door needs relaying and the door itself needs some paint. But it's yours. A small house in the most beautiful town you've ever seen.
It's hard to make friends as an adult in a new place but lucky for you, you've got some already. You know Nat from before she had set her sights on the sky and you've heard so much about Bob you feel like you've met him already. They both come over to help you unpack.
"This is so charming!" Nat cries when you open the door. She tugs you into a hug. "Bob, don't be shy."
"The infamous Bob," you say, smiling. He grins at you and waves before sticking out a hand.
"Hello," he says. "I feel obligated to say that anything embarrassing Phoenix has told you is probably true."
You laugh. You're about to usher them in when you see a dude in jeans and a UVA t-shirt checking out your mailbox. Nat follows your gaze and sighs.
"Rooster!" she calls. The man -- Rooster? -- snaps his head up, eyes hidden behind sunglasses. "Stop manhandling her mailbox and get in here to be useful." She looks back at you and shrugs. "He's from our squad. He knows a lot about home repair and I thought he'd be helpful since you said this place uh..."
Bob looks at the chipping paint on the front door. "Needs some work?"
"That's putting it lightly," Rooster says, walking up the brick path. Okay, kind of a dick thing to say, you think. He wiggles a few loose ones as he does so, shoving his glasses into his hair and frowning at his feet. "You're gonna break an ankle on these things." He seems to remember himself and looks up at you. He grins and it's like someone steals all the air from your lungs. Yeah, that was kind of a dick thing to say, but he's tall, tanned, and so very, very handsome.
"If you can fix them, be my guest," you say. "I'm --"
Your name rolls off his tongue like it was made for him to say. "Nat talks about you all the time. Sorry to crash the unpacking party. I'm Bradley." Nat scoffs and covers it with a cough. He sticks out his hand and you take it. It sounds ridiculous in your own mind but you swear you feel something when your skin touches. Get it together, you tell yourself.
"Wellllllll," Nat drags out. You pull your hand back and hope you're not noticeably flustered. "Shall we go inside?"
You lead the way. Bob starts to unpack your books while Nat tackles unwrapping your frames. Someone starts to play '80s classics on their phone and you're hit with a rush of gratitude. These people, two of them who don't even know you, are so quick to help. You hope the rest of their Navy friends are this nice.
The boxes of dishes seem to be calling your name so you start on those, pulling off paper and opening cabinets. Who knew you had so much shit?
You feel him next to you before he speaks. "This is a little loose," Bradley says, wiggling the kitchen faucet. "Do you mind if I fix it?"
Apparently, Nat was serious about his handyman knowledge. "Uh, sure," you say. It feels like he takes up the entirety of your small kitchen. "There's a toolbox underneath already."
"Smart," he says. You cannot believe how warm the praise makes you feel. You just met.
You start talking so he won't see how flustered you are. "Sorry if this is a dumb question," you start, not looking at him. He's tightening something, arms bulging under this t-shirt. "But should I call you Bradley? Or Rooster? Which I assume is your...pilot name?"
"Callsign," he corrects with a smile you can't help but notice. "It's up to you," he shrugs. "You'd be the only one to call me Bradley, probably."
"I just don't know how to call a grown man Rooster," you admit. He laughs.
"Fair enough," he says. He looks up from the sink and his eyes narrow on the cabinet you're opening. "Hey, careful," he says, reaching for it. His fingers brush yours as he grabs the door, moving it back and forth a little. "This looks loose. Can I..."
"Be my guest."
You have no idea how much time passes. Bradley tightens every single cabinet door in your kitchen and fixes the jammed utensils drawer as you talk about his job on base, your new one close by, the rest of the squad, the best restaurants in town. Anything and everything. Part of you wonders if you're going to wake up in your own bed and all of this is going to have been a dream.
The music pauses and Nat and Bob come into the kitchen. The sunlight through your un-curtained has changed and you realize it's been hours.
"Do you guys want to go to the Hard Deck?" Nat asks, eyes bouncing between you and Bradley. "I could use a drink."
"You can meet more of the squad," Bob says. "And Penny. She's going to love you."
"Alright," you say. It really does sound nice -- meeting new people, and starting to create your own community here. "Do I need to...change?" You look down at your own jeans and t-shirt.
"Nah," Nat says. "You're perfect as you are." Bradley hums and you allow yourself to think that it's in agreement.
"I can drive you if you want," he says suddenly. "I parked down the street."
Bob and Nat seem to do some weird pilot-WSO silent communication thing and then they smile at you both. "We'll meet you there." They're out the door and down the driveway before you can say a single thing.
"Let me grab my keys." Bradley waits by the front door, arms crossed as he looks at the chipping paint.
"Hey," he calls as you walk back towards him. "I hope you don't think I have been implying that your place is..."
"Shitty?" you supply, laughing. He grimaces as you shut the door and start across the crooked bricks.
"It's really nice," he amends. "To have your own place. You're going to make it really beautiful."
"That's kind of you."
"You can say no," he starts, and you look back at him, wondering where this is going. "But I'd be happy to get some of that stuff fixed. Paint the door, redo the bathroom lock, and relay these bri--"
Your foot catches on a half-crumbled brick and you stumble. Bradley's hand darts out to catch you by the arm firmly but not too tight.
"Whoops," you say. You look up and his face is much closer than it was, brows drawn in concern. "Thanks."
"Please let me fix these damn bricks," he says. He does not let go.
"Okay," you breathe. "Can I help?"
Bradley releases you but doesn't step back. The concern melts into amusement. "You know how?"
"No," you say, stepping carefully now. "But I bet you can teach me."
He doesn't say anything for a second and you worry that you've overstepped, you've read it all wrong, you're going to have to fake sick and beg out of drinks.
"Alright," he says. You look back to find him grinning and spinning his car keys around one finger. "I'll teach you." You manage to contain the shiver that wants to run down your spine.
All of this is exciting. A new town, a new house, new friends in Bob and Bradley and whoever you're going to meet tonight. This right here, you and a naval aviator you met a few hours ago standing in your driveway grinning at each other, feels like a beginning.
thank you for reading <3 reblog, send feedback, masterlist here!

Jujutsu Kaisen characters & Industrial revolution (AU) Pt.1 – Nanami Kento POV, the hopeless blacksmith. A multi part series.
I fear the time has come when my work has become rendered useless by the people, and I am unappreciated simply because I am 'less' than a machine. Yes, I may produce 'less,' but what I 'lost,' people used to gain in value and sentimentality. The Industrial Revolution, lasting around 80 years, significantly reduced the demand for hand-made goods and services such as tailoring, irrigation, and sword-making, which happens to be Nanami's specialty. (Check your history and economics textbooks, kids.) During this period, most blacksmiths were deemed ‘redundant,’ as replacing items when broken became more reasonable and cheaper than repairing them. Yet in the quiet, these sacred skills persisted, anticipating every moment, counting down its return to the world.
I fear the silence has enraptured me, drenching my soul to the thousandth degree.
My eyes darted around the room, taking in the sight of tools strewn around the mountain of unfinished projects. The decline of clients sapped my motivation and the acrid flames from the crucibles dusted my nostrils in a haze of ash. I walked towards the chair at the other side of the room that had served me well all these years, its wooden frame as worn as my spirit. Stuck in this monotony of life. I traced my fingers over the well-worn instruments, their familiarity a stark contrast to the world of chaos beyond these four walls that I’ve surrounded myself in. I wonder how long I can hold on.
The clang of metal on metal, the hiss of steam, and the heat of the forge used to be the heartbeat. Now, a deafening silence enraptured the place like a heavy cloak, broken only by the distant humming of automated machinery. As times change, I struggle with doubts, even within myself, questioning the longevity of my lifestyle. If I wish to retire, I must adapt to the times and conform to the ebb and flow of humanity.
I have found something to busy myself with, assisting the locals in their financial decisions, though my own, in turn, have been questionable. As I watched them, their careful budgeting and pragmatic choices struck me. Each decision they made, each penny saved and spent wisely, seemed to carry a weight of survival that I could only admire from afar. Farmers transition to tractors, coachmen to bus drivers, caterpillars to butterflies. Am I falling behind?
As I attempted to clear my weary head, I observed the jasmine I planted long ago had found the courage to bravely spread its vines, tangling itself in the depths of the rusty metal trellis perched against the bricked wall. Meanwhile, my osmanthus and chrysanthemum have taken their final drops of water, signaling the end of my tea supply. Even my possessions seem to be slipping away.
Laughs and giggles echo regularly from the speakeasy across the street, where actors, actresses, singers and dancers gather, filling the bar with a reservoir of talent. A reminder of how I used to live, on a hunt for fame and popularity. I had succeeded once, too. The crackling timbre of gravel against tires revealed a car, sleek and shiny, its engine purring like a contented predator. I expected it to pass by like all the others, yet its passengers bearing gold and medallions happened to be seeking a temporary escape. I don’t like to admit it, however, I used to be like that once.
I still remember when I received my first paycheck. I got cocky, lazy, unknowing of the repercussions that lied beyond the surface. Blinded by the allure of fame. How my father’s blacksmithing passion burned in the ashes right before my eyes, how he disappeared from the face of the earth, not remembering the name of his own son.
The door swung open, and a polished shoe touched the pavement with deliberate grace. Slowly, he emerged, straightening to his full height, his tailored suit catching the light just right. His eyes, hidden behind dark circular sunglasses, stood tall as if he owned the world—or was about to. His pearly white locks swayed with the gentle gusts of wind. His peculiar outfit left no room for misinterpretation, reminding me of a secret society member, those in the Edo period from way back when. Three consecutive knocks interrupted my pensive train of thought. Clearly, the man hadn’t seen the ‘closed’ sign on the door. I silently screw myself for only writing the text in Danish. “I am closed, go home, Gojo.”
I knew him, mostly as the piercing icy blue eyed man who had been loitering around the shop for three days in a row now. I half expected him to add to the collection of the ‘no swords, no shields’ signs that were attached on the notice post by hammer and nail. Ever since the mass blacksmith boycott, he found an opportunity to speak out against the ‘old school’ way of fighting, promoting ‘Jujutsu Sorcery’ as an alternative. I had considered it once, learning how to harness this ability to visualize cursed spirits that I was entrusted with, but I try to ignore them as best as possible due to bad experiences on the field in my younger years.
The Jujutsu corporate world holds far too much ambiguity as we were blind to laboring in pyramid schemes. Just stooges to a bigger picture. Much to my dismay, the green glasses I wear are not only for blacksmithing but also for avoiding eye contact with dehumanized figures of various colors, shapes and sizes. They also irritatingly slide down my nose bridge.
"Sir Nanami! I'd love to have your expertise back in the wondrous field of Jujutsu training. I've got- I mean, I have acquired three new recruits who would benefit from your mentoring."
Despite our history, his tone carried a forced formality. It was a sound that echoed from a child's mouth—squeaky and awkward—from behind the door.
"M-Mister Nanami?" The voice stuttered. I heard Gojo's quiet instructions to the kid, coaching him on what to do next. An eager student, I mused to myself. "Look at this!" His fists glowed with luminescent streaks of black and blue, untamed cursed energy. I couldn't deny it was the start of something unique. This pink haired, pure spirited boy that Gojo had brought in... he was unlike the others.
“Gojo, you don’t understand. I have a life here. Depleting or not, it’s my duty to remain.” I argued, coming up with every reason to deny his offer. Though he seemed to know that I have no sufficient meaning to stay here.
“Nanami, I-” Gojo interjected. Suddenly, a loud crash reverberated through the shop as Yuji’s cursed energy surged uncontrollably, knocking over a shelf of tools. My senses heightened immediately, recognizing the distinct energy signature. This was not just an accident. The outside air grew heavy with a palpable tension, as if the atmosphere itself was holding its breath. I glanced at Gojo, who was already on alert, his playful demeanor replaced by a serious intensity.
“What did you do, kid?” I asked Yuji, my voice calm but edged with urgency.
“I-I don’t know!” Yuji stammered, eyes wide with panic. “I think I might have accidentally triggered something…”
Before he could finish, the ground beneath us rumbled, and a low, menacing growl echoed from outside. A wave of cursed energy, darker and more malevolent than anything I had felt in years, washed over us.
“Get ready,” Gojo muttered, his eyes flickering with anticipation. “It’s here.”
Reflexes honed from years of experience kicked in. I grabbed my blunt sword, its blade wrapped in bandages. In a fluid motion, I positioned myself in front of Yuji and Gojo, my protectiveness kicking in instinctively. No matter the level of skill the two had, I will always put myself at the forefront.
"Sorcery never goes away from your body," I thought, the weight of the moment grounding me. "It's your prerogative to use it in times of need or hide it away. And for the first time in years, I have chosen the former."
The door shuddered under a heavy blow, and I braced myself. The silence before the storm had ended.
And this is merely the beginning.
👏End of Part one 👏 Goodness, that was a wild ride, I'm almost sad to be leaving y'all on a cliffhanger like this! Hope my second ever fan fiction was enjoyable.
Thank you to my beta readers: Panda and JuwelPK! Part two coming soon. Coming from the POV of Yuji Itadori.

Hey y’all! I thought I should make a post explaining my AU and what’s happened to Ezra/Scribblecop in it, just because why not? So here is a messy timeline of events! This is a weird hodgepodge of info dumping, and fanfiction, so you have been warned.
PS!! This is heavily based on an amazing ((and sadly unfinished)) gcbc fanfic I’ve read, and I would’ve asked the og writer permission to use this storyline in my AU, but they have , since deleted their socials (other than discord), and when I looked them up on discord they had fully disappeared. Here is the fic in question, I encourage that you read it before you read this!
So full credit for the basic plot goes to them, and I’ve made a few tweaks and fleshed out the story more here and there, but I felt I had to give explicit credit to them for the ideas. (and Ezra as a name for scribble cop!)
So. Takos Tuesday has happened. Gc and bc are still recovering, and trying to make amends for the trouble they caused. They are no longer switching using the two faces, instead they now have clip-on sunglasses to switch between GC and bc. Emmet and the other masterbuilders crew have assembled a team of volunteers (including gc and bc) to help rebuild and repair the city!
Emmet has even gotten them out of trouble with the law a bit- giving them a deal that says they won’t have to go to jail, if they get mandated therapy, and 18 or so months of volunteering/service. They still have to go to court, but they both agree it’s better than being arrested. Gc and bc agree happily, and keep going to the volunteer meetings.
(Btw, president business has the same deal given to him. Emmet says it’s in the name of fairness. Baby boy has good intentions, but he is kinda naïve.)
Things are going great! Until they aren’t.
(Btw in my AU president business is an AWFUL person. I know that in canon he has a bit of a redemption arc, and in some rp blogs on here he is not the worst person, but in this universe he feels no real remorse for the things he did. *yet*.)
President business also attends the volunteer meetings, although he is always late by half an hour or more, and doesn’t seem to care. And one day he sits right next to GcBc.
(Okay, another side tangent! In the og fic I was inspired by, gcbc and ez have DID. I do not have DID. So I am very nervous to write a character with DID, because I’d hate to offend someone. That being said, I’m going to face my fears of hurting someone’s feelings, and try my best, so if I get anything horribly wrong IM SO SORRY, PLEASE CORRECT ME.)
At this point in time Ezra has not fully made himself know to gcbc. He didn’t really exist before takos Tuesday (because as I understand it, personalities/alters can sorta just appear after a traumatic enough experience? It’s just that DID can only start in people younger than 9ish?) so gcbc have no idea he’s now sharing a body with them.
Ezra was “created” (or whatever youd call it) by the traumatic event where Gc got his face erased, and essentially got put into a coma.
Because of this, president business is a trigger for Ezra, and when he sees him, he automatically comes to the front/is in control.
But GCBC DONT KNOW THAT YET. So, when business comes into a meeting (late as per usual) and sits down right next to gcbc, Ezra (who everyone thinks is GC btw!!) starts giving him a death glare. This prompts business to start teasing and messing with “GC”, and causes “GC” to lash out verbally back.
Lucy is having none of their sh*t, so she breaks them up, but when the actual GC comes into a meeting the next week, he gets pulled aside and asked by Metalbeard to either grow up and stop messing with business, or leave the meetings, and GC says that he doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Metalbeard doesn’t believe him, but let’s him off with a harsh warning.
(yeah, I know that sounds harsh, but the masterbuilders are kinda mean at the start, and get a redemption later.).
Time skip because after that nothing seems to happen, business isn’t sitting right next to the cops, so the problem seems to be solved! Gcbc visit their parents, who are recovering in the hospital (pa copp had his leg amputated btw) (inspo for that from this fic.)
Poor GC and bc seem to be disassociating more often, and things seem to be moving around their house that the both swear they didn’t move, but they just brush it off, because they’re both doing too well at the moment to worry about it.
Ezra is, of course, the one moving stuff, and the one who was fighting with business, but after the warning from Metalbeard, he quiets down. The next time he takes over, he finds a journal in their apartment. It’s an old one, before Vitruvius’ prophecy kinda old, and it just has some back-and-fourth messages from GC and bc when they were fronting alone, years before they worked for octan.
He decides to write something in it, and a day later GC and bc find it, and are UNDERSTANDABLY VERY CONFUSED. But they don’t know what else to do, so they just write back.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Hello. Is anyone reading this?”
“Yep! who is this??”
Two days later they get a reply:
“I don’t know.”
“Well who is writing this then?”
“I don’t know. Someone.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And that was that. They tried to get more of a response, but the mysterious writer stopped replying.
Ezra, I’m reality, was having an existential crisis, (You would to if you didn’t know who you were!), and was very worried when, two days to the court date he found out that they had to appear in court.
Why was he worried? 1. The poor guy doesn’t know why he has to go to court/what he did, 2. Business is going to be there, 3. He’s worried that the mandatory therapist will try to “cure him” by getting rid of him. Ezra is going through it in this fic.
Anyways, one more meeting happens before the court date, and as per usual, business is being an asshat. He decides to cause trouble. One more time he decides to mess with “GC” Ezra, and surprisingly, ez doesn’t react. Doesn’t respond. He’s too busy planning Business’ death.
Not kidding! Ezra tried to kill business. Just like the masterbuilders though, he has his redemption arc too. But for now… Ezra goes to business’ new, much smaller, office, the night before the court date. The old octan tower is mostly dismantled, and in ruins. Slowly being cleaned up, and taken away, piece by piece.
Ezra, pretending to be GC, gets business to come down to the front desk, where he explains to at he’s “tired of being a goody two shoes” and wants to run off with business. He doesn’t though, but business doesn’t know that. So he eagerly says yes.
Cut to the abandoned octan tower. “GC” says he wants to pick some stuff up before they flee the country, and business agrees, foolishly following him inside. Here’s where Ezra’s plan gets a bit.. not thought out on his part (ah yes, phantom, blame it on your characters not your writing!👍🏾)
Once business is inside, Ezra goes up to the buildings controls centre, it’s a very high tech place, so he can just press a button and lock all the doors in the building. No exit means no where to run. He finds an old blaster that still works, and sets fire to a few things with it: the emergency exit, the car they used to get there (through the emergency exits door, before he shoots that), and the controls centre itself.
Business may be a bad guy, but he’s certainly not stupid. He very quickly and correctly deduces what’s going on, and tries desperately to find a way out. (During all this, the masterbuilders have heard that business is apparently missing, and so is gcbc, so they visit the office building, and some other places to try and figure out what’s going on.)
This all culminates in Business disarming Ezra, and shooting him in the left leg. Ezra manages to outrun business long enough to make him temporarily loose his trail, and hides in the relic room. Business finds him, and Ezra admits defeat. Relics all around them, and Ezra backed into the desk at the back wall, sitting on the floor.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Just kill me.”
“What?”
“Just kill me! I know you want to, and you know there’s no way out of this anyways, so what’s the point?”
“…”
Business shrugs and picks up the sceptre.
“NO!- NO. Please. Not with that. Not with THAT! Use the blaster!!”
Ezra pleads. Business is in total shock. After all those years of working with GC and bc, business learned a little bit about how they work, and while pondering the situation, something clicks in his mind.
“…I’m… not.. talking to good cop, OR bad cop, right now… am I?”
“Took you long enough.” Ezra spits.
“Well who are you?”
“I’d rather you just kill me.”
“I’d rather know who I’m killing first.”
“….. I’m not fully sure who I am.” Ezra chokes on a stifled sob.
“Well what’s your name?”
“…I wanted it to be “Ezra” but now I’m not so sure about that..”
“Why not?..”
“It means protector.. and I dunno if you’ve noticed, but so far I’ve done a sh*t job o’ that.”
Business chuckles.
“Well, I think Ezra suits you.”
“Thanks.”
Silence. Then Business speaks again.
“This- All of this. It’s my fault isn’t it?”
“No kidding.”
“I’m sorry.”
“Okay? Why should I care? Am I supposed to forgive you?
“Well… isn’t that how it works?”
Ezra laughs tiredly. This psycho doesn’t even know how an apology works? Yeah, that tracks.
“No! No! That’s- of course that’s not how it works. You think that just because you say a few words, shake a few hands, and “pinkie swear you won’t do it ever again” that’s supposed to make things BETTER?!” Ezra screams. Business doesn’t reply, only snaps his head up to look at him, in response.
“You destroyed hundreds- no, THOUSANDS of lives, FORCED US to kill hundreds of innocent people, put my brother or whoever he is- IN A COMA. And after all that, you just say “sorry”? You are a sociopath. A crazy, irresponsible, cruel, evil, sociopath.”
Business simply stands there for a moment, Taking in Ezra’s words.
“….I’m not gonna kill you y’know.”
“Why not? It’d be better than jail for attempted murder.”
“Well…… you deserve better than this. I’m not killing you.”
“Fine! Let the fire and smoke kill us then.”
“Well we could try and get out of here?”
“Nope, I blocked the exits.”
“A window might work.”
“You shot my leg, I couldn’t land.”
“Well-“
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Masterbuilders to the rescue!!!!!! They finally figured out what was happening, and where they formerly evil pair (trio?) were. One spaceship building sequence later (thanks Benny) and they were off to the hospital for gcbc’s leg and to give business a check up.
On the very awkward ride over, business explained the very little info he had figured out, about Ezra and everything. The builders were confused, but nodded and smiled, thinking that business was talking crazy. Ezra had passed out due to the blood loss.
At the hospital, when gc and bc wake up, they are quite confused. Why was there a gunsh*t in their leg? And why were they here? And why were all the masterbuilders here? And why was Business here? A lot of understandable questions. Unfortunately for gcbc, Lucy didn’t think so.
Lucy is (like everyone except Business) going to get her redemption arc, but you can’t write a story without something driving the plot so..
Lucy thinks that gcbc were completely faking when they told Metalbeard they didn’t confront Business at the meeting, and that this is the same situation. As far as she knows, the only people in gcbcs body are GC and bc, and she’s not even sure if they are really two different people and not one who acts differently sometimes (go easy on her, she’s just very uneducated on personality disorders and stuff)
Lucy very loudly voices this, that she thinks they are faking and using the “we’re not the same person” thing as an excuse to do dumb stuff, just as Gcbc’s parents walk in.
Gc takes over, and (as calmly as he can) explains why Lucy is VERY WRONG and gives a 3ish minute crash course on DID to the builders. Then asks them to get the hell out of their hospital room. After a talk with their parents, they go home with them. (ma and pa live fairly close to gcbc, and are now both discharged from the hospital.).
The copp family happily goes home, and gcbc are sitting on their old bed, in their childhood room. After some conversation between GC and bc, they hear another voice in their head. Ezra says he’s sorry, and admits he definitely didn’t think that through, and GC and bc comfort him a bit.
Later in the morning (it’s morning now, because the incident that just happened, happened at night), Ma cop says she made some breakfast, and the boys leave their room. Pa is sitting at the dining table with a laminated piece of paper, a blank piece of paper, and an old mug filled with pens and pencils.
Ezra, Good Cop, and Bad Cop (who are all co-fronting at this point, aka their are all sharing control), sit down, and GC and bc instantly recognize the laminated paper.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Gc: “Oh my goodness. Is that?-“
“Yes it is! Found it in my office.”
Bc: “Good lord, dad, you had that thing laminated?”
“For to the memories! Besides, it’s comin in handy now isn’t it?”
Ez: “Um…. What is that?”
“Oh- it’s just something the boys did when they were younger.”
At that moment, Ma (who had been listening to the conversation), walked in and answered the question Pa technically hadn’t.
“When the boys were younger, me an’ Pa were both very busy working all the time. And while Daniel was only ever alone for about 10 minutes before one of us came home from a shift- ten minutes was all my awful sister, their aunt, needed to call cps on me. They got put in a very awful foster home while me and Pa fought tooth-and-nail to get them back, and that’s when they got Dissociative Identity Disorder.. The poor dears were only seven at the time..” Ma paused to let him catch up, then continued.
“When they got back home to us, and after their diagnosis, they decided in order to get to know each other, they would both write down questions for one another, and us, on that piece of paper, and then we’d reply to them. Daniel uses the black pen, Danny blue, Pa green, and me red.“
Ezra nodded, taking in the information.
“So that’s when they split?”
“Yep. Went into the situation with one son, came out of it with two!” Pa joked.
“And although the ordeal was unfortunate, we are a bit thankful for it. I couldn’t imagine not having Danny here today!”
Ezra thought some more.
“So, Daniel came first then? Like- he was the host so to speak?”
“Yep!” The parents replied in unison.
“Er… and, who is Daniel again?”
Ezra got his answer in the form of four answers, all at the same time.
“Me. I’m Daniel.”
Gc: “You’ll have probably heard him be called Bad Cop. He’s very nice though buddy!”
Ma: “One of our sons. The “Bad One”.”
Pa: “That’s Bad Cop, lad. Danny is Good Cop.”
“Ah. Okay..” Everything was quiet for a moment, and then Ma spoke up.
“So, er, whom do we have the pleasure of speaking to?”
“…Ezra.”
“Well, welcome to the copp family Ezra.” Pa said.
“Thank you… uh, not to sound rude or anything but.. you guys don’t… hate me..Y’know, for the attempted murder thing..?” Ezra said cautiously. Both cops glanced at each other, and then back at Ezra. They looked like they had just seen a puppy get killed.
“Oh heavens no, dear!! We both know it’s hard to deal with. Poor Danny was very mixed up when he first “woke up”.” Ma looked very reassuring, and suddenly Ezra got the urge to hug her. But he didn’t.
“So…” pa starts.
“D’you want to do the questions thing?”
Ezra, Danny, and Daniel respond with an enthusiastic yes, with Ezra assigning himself an orange pen.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As promised, this story has a happy ending. After Lucy’s mistake in the hospital, Benny (who has hyper fixated on different disorders including did, and knows a bunch about it) was very disappointed in the group, and gave them all a big infodump about it.
After the whole ordeal came out to the judge, the court date got pushed back. So, two weeks of recovering, and family bonding later, the cops entered the court room.
(I’ve written all of this in ONE DAY and am getting kinda tired of writing, so imma make the rest of the story pretty quick)
Good cop, bad cop, and Ezra thankfully don’t get in trouble for trying to kill business. The court figured that because Ezra didn’t actually SUCCEED in killing him, they’d just call it a lesson in karma for lord business and leave it at that.
(Yes I know that’s very inaccurate to what would happen irl, but this is a fanfiction based on a ten year old movie about LEGOS so I’m not exactly going for accuracy here.)
Lord/President Business is sent to jail instead of mandated therapy, partly because he agreed to run away with gcbc (the masterbuilders got video evidence from the office’s security camera) and partly because idk man I’m tired and because I said so.
After they get their sentences or whatever, the masterbuilders all come to apologize to gcbcsc, Lucy and Metalbeard especially. Benny invites the cops out for lunch with the masterbuilders (slight coppernaughts??) and they say yes. More apologies are said at lunch, for takos Tuesday, and for not being more supportive of the cops during the meetings and stuff like that, and all of them agree to start over as friends, and both parties agree to try and make amends for the past.
The end!
See? I told you this had a happy ending! Sorry this got rushed at the end, and I’m also sorry if this is hard to read/unclear? I tried. Also, if you made it this far: HOLY CRAP THANK YOU FOR READING ALL OF THIS. I DEFINITELY WROTE TOO MUCH. But who cares!!!
Anyways, I’m gonna take a nap now. Bye!

A set of warhammer 40k power armor michaelstuartdoggett created, the MK 5 Heresy Armor comes to life. As the Horus Heresy raged on, both Loyalist and Traitor Legions found that they were running out of replacement parts for damaged systems, most notable the MK 4 Maximus armor. This would result in several Legions taking parts from older marks and inadvertently making a brand new armor pattern. One of the most notable components was the introduction of molecular bonding studs on the left pauldron and both greaves, originally designed to field-patch busted vehicle armour before they could be repaired properly. Basically high tech scotch tape. Probably one of the most common suits of armour in service among the Traitor Legions, since this was what most of them were wearing when they retreated to the Eye of Terror. The armor carries a legacy of painful memories and hope, mainly among astartes. But inquisitors will be suspicious of any wearer.
Available for unisex teen to elder for everyday, sleep, swim, athletic, formal, career, outwear, and maternity. Includes full body outfit, shoes, and helmet in the sunglasses accessory. Swatches include the original 18 space marine legions as well as the luna wolves, war hounds, lamenters, marines malevolent, blood ravens, minotaurs, black templars, space sharks, and quite a few fallout factions. Brotherhood of steel swatches have a number of rank insignias on the left kneecap. Works fine, but certain actions like jumping jack cause it to stretch and bend, there's no solution at the moment. Requires into the future, and has no morphs. Happy simming!

we got time until the next alpha. i can keep layering post-retribution chargestep drabbles right in between those epilogue slides for years.
For as clever and dangerous as you've come to realize Ortega is, he makes mistakes. Well. You've both made mistakes, but he gave you access to the delivery services and his money.
Not that you couldn't easily bankroll the nefarious idea being cooped up in his apartment inspired yourself, but that could give the game away.
So could answering the door, you think bitterly, anxiety digging in its claws, before shaking the thought away so thoroughly your neck is a bit sore.
No, this is a calculated risk.
Ortega is enough of a clotheshorse that you can pad your physique in his oversized, designer sweatshirt from his closet. Cover up the tattoos, pilfer a pair of his sunglasses, broadcast don't look at me far and wide... it'll work.
It does work.
The delivery guy walks away with the impression he got the signature from one Ricardo Ortega's chunky uncle, and that he narrowly escaped a long, long bout of chit-chat. He walks down the hallway from Ortega's door cloaked in relief.
Once you unpack the box it's an extended game of hobbling around Ortega's apartment, putting back dress shirts and sunglasses and his extended collection of Charge merchandise through the ages, smoothing them down the best you can, stowing parts of the delivery in the fridge and others carefully hidden behind the one picture he has of you all together.
It's clearly a stillframe from a broadcast, Marshal Charge at the front projecting confidence in his more-than-a-little roughed up state while Steel glowers down at you and Anathema in the back for not taking getting patched up seriously. Off regulation. It makes you smile a little sadly as you position your secret weapon behind the cracked and plainly repaired frame.
Then it becomes a waiting game.
Ortega has been trying not to maintain a strict return schedule — one more attempt to keep you hidden — but you've worked out the pattern he's unwittingly created for his Mondays through Fridays, so you know roughly when his keys should open the lock.
You make sure the refridgerated components are ready and prepared just in time, though you admit it was more of a challenge than it would have been on healed legs.
When he comes in, you're seated at the counter with your back to him, looking over your shoulder, wearing one of his dress shirts you couldn't fully unwrinkle with your hair pulled up.
Ortega closes the front door instinctually before greeting you with the single-most uneasy, "Hello?" you've ever heard from him.
"Hi, Richie."
That does nothing to relax his stance, but it does get a lopsided smile, and a questioning, "What are you doing, Ains?"
You can't exactly keep the blush from starting to rise on your face, thinking about actually enacting your plan. It's stupid, incredibly stupid, but you want it to mean something. You want him to see it means something. It's effort you didn't bother with where he could see in the old days. It wouldn't go anywhere, couldn't be anything, after all.
You take a breath and try that ridiculous communicating honestly thing. "You know how you always took me out?"
He kicks his shoes off and braves walking further into his apartment. "Yeah?"
You swallow. nod sharply to the kitchen. Refuse to meet his eyes. "I thought I could return the favor? Like a, uhm..." Motherbitch, it sticks in your throat as he steps closer to peer into the kitchen, curiosity plain on his face. "A date."
If the familiar scent combination of garlic, cumin, pork and peppers wafting from the pot on the stove didn't make his eyes widen, it was definitely you willingly calling this a date.
"¿Una cita?"
You bite down the reflex to be snappish and nod, finally looking up at him from under your bangs, mumbling, "I made... Tía Elena's chili verde." She had taught the recipe to you on one visit to the ranch while Ortega did chores too difficult for his mamá. You had been looking down then too, embarrassed by why you asked. She had only laughed and lifted your chin, thinking so loud and warmly, sweet girl, like she saw your entire agenda.
You slide off your chair with less grace than you want, the skin of your thighs making the softest friction squeak as you go, taking up your crutches to navigate to the fridge and pull out — with a little trouble and careful juggling — the cheap plastic pitcher containing the sangria you made. Not a Tía Elena recipe, but good enough to be served beside one unless your taste buds are as faulty as the rest of you.
You heft it toward Ortega for inspection and that finally seems to knock him out of the odd stupor he's been hovering in. The smile that breaks out could be the last thing you see and you'd be fine with that.
Ortega comes at you like he's going to hug you, pauses, plucks the pitcher of deep red wine and marinated fruits from your hands to set on the counter, and then resumes his approach, wrapping his arms tightly around you and nestling his face against your neck.
"You made me dinner? Not just dinner, my mamá's cooking? You must love me, Ains."
You swallow hard, relaxing in the hold and resting your hands against his lower back, whispering, "And be crazy enough to try recreating her cooking?"
He laughs so warmly against your skin before it turns into a gentle kiss at against your pulse. "Maybe a little crazy, but it smells good. You did all this because you felt guilty about all those greasy burgers I bought us?"
Now or never. You take a breath and manage to keep nerves out of your words. "I did more."
That separates you both just enough to be faced with the full force of the tenderness written on Ortega's features. Because of you.
"Look behind that awful shot of you and some hooligans," you instruct, and follow behind him as he goes digging.
Polaroid cameras aren't inexpensive, but it was a necessary splurge. Certainly one he'll enjoy more than the designer pajamas he decided to get you. And the likely survival rate in the one and only Charge's hands is higher than any other sort.
Ortega turns it over in his hands a couple of times, experimental, curious, before looking back at you for an explanation. You don't really think he needs your help to work it out, but you're not going to deny him. Not tonight. Not when you're hopelessly soft.
"You don't have any good photos of us together, right? I thought... you should have some. Now that you know."
Another risk, but one you can control.
The smile drops from his face at that and for a moment you start rethinking every step in your little plan, wondering where you fucked up. Then he's glassy eyed and pulling you into a one armed hug, raising the camera and pressing a kiss to your cheek.
The shutter noise overlays Ortega's delighted, "This will be a perfect date, chaparrita."

would you be able to give an example of what a character's "scrap" should sound like? also, should we specify the type of media the scrap is outside of the text displayed on the scrap itself?
Yes, specify what type of item it is. An example scrap could be…
This business card’s laminate is peeling at the corners. The colors are very 90s, and a bright, stylish font advertises: “Yua Kanedakara, Spiritual Consultant” with the tagline “Spirit sleuth, revealing the truth”. The back of the card offers other services, such as palm reading, chakra realigning, nail painting and… auto-repair?
It could be any thing, like a video, card, magazine clipping, an engraved ring, a cardboard box, a detached car door with junk in the compartment, a jacket covered in patches — as long as it somehow conveys information. No strict size limit, but it has to fit in a room. It can also defy logic a little. A more obtuse one might be…
A cassette tape’s film has been pulled out of it violently and balled up into a messy bundle. Despite this, you can hear the audio: discordant piano that stops abruptly and is followed by a wild, erratic guitar solo with obvious pauses where the player has to stop and remember what they’re doing. It comes to a sudden close, ending with the sound of a stool being kicked over.
Each scrap will have the props listed beside it, possibly adding more context to the scrap itself, as well as a uncanny connection to your character that’s obvious to the entire cast. The props should be shorter and able to be listed, so for example: a dull green gem, a pair of flashy sunglasses, three patterned ties, and a handgun, or a guitar pick with fire on it, a bottle of black nail polish, and a wad of crumpled up phone numbers.

Protect Your Ride: Why PPF is a Must-Have for Your Dubai Vehicle
When you drive in Dubai, your car isn’t just a way to get around; it’s a statement. But with the intense sun, sand, and constant city hustle, keeping your vehicle looking fresh can be challenging. That's where the best PPF services in Dubai come in. Paint Protection Film (PPF) acts like sunscreen for your car, shielding it from sun damage, scratches, and more. Ensure your car stays pristine by choosing high-quality PPF solutions that match Dubai's demanding conditions—because your car deserves the best!
What is Paint Protection Film?
PPF is a clear, thin layer of polyurethane that you put over your car’s paint. It acts like a shield, guarding your vehicle against dirt, grime, and harmful UV rays. Imagine wrapping a soft blanket around your car to keep it safe; that’s what PPF does! It keeps your paint fresh and glossy, no matter what life throws at it.
Why You Need PPF in Dubai
1. Defense Against the Harsh Sun
Dubai’s sun can be brutal. Day after day, the scorching heat can fade your car’s beautiful color. PPF reflects harmful UV rays, keeping the paint vibrant and shiny. Think of it as a pair of sunglasses for your ride—protecting it so you can show it off for years to come.
2. Say Goodbye to Scratches and Dings
Driving in a busy city like Dubai means dealing with narrow streets and parking tight spots. It’s easy to get scratches from those pesky shopping carts or careless drivers. With PPF, your car’s surface is safe. The film absorbs minor impacts, preventing unsightly marks. It’s like wearing armor—ready for anything on your journey.
3. Easy Maintenance for Your Vehicle
Cleaning your car in Dubai can be a chore with all the dust and sand. Luckily, PPF makes it easier. The film is hydrophobic, meaning it repels water and dirt. When it rains or when you wash your car, the dirt often just rolls off. This leaves you with more time to enjoy your ride and less time scrubbing away.
4. Cost-Effective Investment
You might think that adding PPF to your car is an extra expense, but in the long run, it’s a smart choice. Repairing paint damage or dealing with fading costs much more than applying PPF. It’s like buying a good quality umbrella before it rains—consider it a small investment that saves you big bucks down the road.
5. Enhances Resale Value
If you plan on selling your car later, having PPF on it can boost its value. Buyers love a vehicle that looks pristine and well-kept. By protecting the original paint, PPF allows your car to stand out in the used car market. Just like how a shiny apple catches your eye compared to a bruised one—your car can shine, too, when it’s time to sell.
Choosing the Right PPF for Your Vehicle
Not all PPF is created equal. When picking a film, look for quality materials and proper installation. A good installer will ensure that the film adheres perfectly, without bubbles or creases. It’s worth doing your research to ensure your car gets the best protection possible.
Conclusion
If you want your vehicle to thrive in Dubai's tough conditions, Texas Pro Auto Detailing has you covered with high-quality Paint Protection Film (PPF) services. With benefits like UV defense, scratch resistance, easier maintenance, and enhanced resale value, PPF offers unmatched protection. So, why not give your car the care it deserves? Trust Texas Pro to keep your ride looking flawless, because safeguarding your vehicle is always a smart move!
