Can't stop thinking about Luke Castellan getting turned into a rabbit after Manhattan, an idea presented in @pain-is-too-tired 's discord server. Like, brainrot so bad I have another wip

For those not fortunate to glimpse the chaotic-ness, the premise is instead of Luke dying, he is turned into a rabbit- something that is common in Greek mythology- and only the Hermes campers can understand him. I am leaning towards ferret Michael as well because I love the chaos, plus I can have Jake kinda chilling with Michael on his shoulder when Leo first meets him.

Will: And this is your brother, Jake, and my brother, Michael. They were dating before Michael became a ferret, so Jake is the only one I can leave him with and not have to worry Leo: Please say you're joking Jake: He's not. Apollo saved Michael and this was the cost

You know how in season 1 Soren says to Callum “even if you were wearing the rarest legendary armour forged by sunfire elves”, which is something we haven’t really seen yet (lots of sunforge weapons, but not a lot of armour), wouldn’t it be cool if at some point in Arc 3 they found, or Callum was gifted, Sunforge Armour as a counterpart for Claudia’s dragon scale armour if and when he confronts her again?

Please tell me about this AU, I'm completely normal and sane about TA Lee

THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I IMAGINE WHEN I THINK OF THEM.

○ When Lee first brought his siblings to the darkside - sometime during SoM while Percy & co are on their quest - Michael literally slaps him across the face when he tells them they aren't going on a camp field trip, but going to join the titan army.

Michael: "I know you're stupid, but I hoped there was a brain in that head somewhere."

Lee, smiling and holding his bow: "Luke is well aware what will happen if any of you so much as get a scratch. Kronos himself won't be spared."

Kayla: "So- no field trip? What a bust! You have to get us snacks to make up for this utter betrayal!"

Austin: "Yeah!"

Will: "I'm just happy to to wherever Lee is"

• Michael, Will, Lee, Austin, and Kayla go back to CHB as infiltration & basically recruitment sects. There was a lot of Leeluke debate about this because of the involvement of Lee's siblings.

• You know Gods send dreams to demigods and mortals? Kronos does this to Lee whenever Luke starts to be insufferable

• Luke slowly actually "corrupts" Lee to the cause by pointing out actually valid points

• Michael is absolutely insufferable on all fronts about this arrangement. He literally can't believe he's been dragged into the titan army all because he's an apollo kid & Lee has attachment issues.

• Michael is very on-the-fence about being in the TA and has a crush on Jake Mason - he won't admit it, but everyone but Jake knows.

• Luke tries very hard to get along with Michael, and meanwhile Michael is flipping him off, making the most passive aggressive comments known to man, rolling his eyes, whole 9 yards

Luke: "WILL YOU STOP SHOOTING AT ME!? I DIDN'T EVEN DO ANYTHING!"

Michael perched on a lamppost, glaring: "You're literally the reason I'm here right now."

Luke: "I wanted my amazing partner. I didn't realize I got a ferret as a package deal."

Michael: "WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU CALLING A FERRET!?"

This has taken so long because I'm still undecided whether I wanna take a page outta SoSF and let Bianca live with the consequences of someone else dying on the TTC quest, but it would also change the entire trajectory of canon & I don't want to receive hate if I put Annabeth in the Hunters 😔 I wanted to add a secret detail and couldn't decide LMAO

Kaigaku as he will appear in Smol's fic Legend of Zenitsu: Sun-forged Sword. Kaigaku is a Sheikah warrior that must watch over Zenitsu and make sure he stays safe. He is less than impressed on their first meeting.

Also a birthday present for @xxninjacatboyxx. Happy Belated Birthday!! I, Smol, promise to color him one day.

Yeah, its a safe bet if the art is on paper it belongs to Smol not Lilith. Lilith does cool things on digital (he can do cool physical paintings too I've seen them) and Smol is afraid of digital ngl.

Reference: Janai's Sunforge Sword

It's difficult to get a good look at the full series of runes on Janai's sword because of the way it gradates to "white" heat toward the tip... not great for seeing white runes. Pretty much the only place they're all visible is in the credits sketch featuring it, but they're quite small.

However, comparison of the runes near the hilt on Janai's sword and the runes on the Sunforge dagger from s1e07 shows that they're the same, and there's a really nice Sunforge dagger picture in Tales of Xadia:

They're mirrored, but so is everything else in this show. They're probably one way on one side of the sword and the other way on the other side.

Anyway, a clear look at these runes lets us identify them on the credits sketch, and it turns out it's the same six runes from the dagger, repeated to fill in the rest of the longer blade:

Sunforge blades need to have special scabbards, and Janai's scabbard also has runes on it. Most of them are the same six as the ones on the sword, separated by a small spacer, but there's also a unique rune near the hilt:

Between all of that, we can assemble the full set of runes for Janai's sword and scabbard as something like the following (my calligraphic inking skills are garbage):

Love idea that Michael is so much stronger than he looks.

Jake's strong too obviously, typical Hephaestus kids strength,but no one expects Michael be as strong as he is.

But this kid is hauling around people as a medic. Not to mention draw weight for a actual bow can be heavy especially for expert archers pretty sure. Any Apollo kid who main archery or are medics likely have lot of strength especially with their arms.

Michael is both an archer and an active medic(as we know Will learned under him). He's definitely strong.

Jake gets hurt and can't walk much on his own and Michael has no problem getting him to the infirmary.

Jake is a flustered mess,Beckendorf 100% is teasing him about it later hdhdg

Will's throwing people over his shoulder without second thought. Imagine Nico in the infirmary during the 3 days and just watching Will throw an fussy injured Sherman Yang over his shoulder and taking him to a cot to get him to lay down. No trouble doing it what so ever.

Lee too. 100% you have Luke, most respected and looked up to demigod in camp, who just gets picked up by Lee like he weighs nothing. Gods help him when he's in trouble.

Lee especially i feel pretty strong. He has even more years of being at camp and is fully grown. But like his siblings, he looks a whole lot more harmless than he is.

Idk why think idea of Apollo kids being perceived as harmless but able to absolutely wreck you is so fun. Think it fits them

Apollo is god of music, poetry, healing. But also of plagues and archery(usually used in war). He's god of the sun, which helps give life but can also harm you in the same vein. He's the god of truth, bringing light to one's own guilt and purifying them of it.

Despite everything he is, he's often seen for his lighter side.

Think his children being seen similarly is interesting

A letter to Zanrethan Sunforge, August 4

The letter bears the seal of Lady Ilthyrii—the dagger-and-stars House Ilthyrii arms crossed with the phoenix crest of the Order—pressed in dark gray sealing wax. In neat, familiar handwriting on the front, it is addressed to Zanrethan Sunforge of the Order. The missive is written on good parchment in dark gray ink, bearing the scent of coffee, incense, and smoke.

I’ve thought hard before beginning this letter, started and restarted it half a dozen times in the past few days—because it has only been in the past few days that I’ve decided to write it at all. I’ve not told anyone about running into you as it occurred to me that perhaps you didn’t want anyone to know. You didn’t say and I didn’t ask and that was a failing on my part, truth be told. In some ways, I suppose my thoughts were elsewhere.

As long ago as it was, I still remember the morning after we thought you lost. I went to the war room office and spread a black cloth over your desk. What I don’t remember is how long it stayed there, how long it was before we finally cleared it all, filed some things and packed the rest away. Every so often these days when I’m going through the oldest files and reports, I still find things in your handwriting. The ache eased some time ago but every so often, there’s been the pang, the regret. I suppose it will be even less, now, since I know you did survive to live in a world where that fight has ended, despite how many years you lost somewhere in between.

You should know that the files are all classified, now, though I doubt you’ve gone looking—why reopen a wound like that, after all? I haven’t inquired about the classification level though from what I understand, having talked to some others, the level is somewhere like “five meters above your ass”—and that came from a retired combat commander turned archivist with the Order. I don’t even know that I could access them, and many of the last reports, about the very ending of the Neverdark War—that’s what we’ve called it these past few years, now, since the final stages and the end of it—were in my hand. So many that you knew fell away or simply fell, never making it to the end.

We’re seated in the Everlight, now, those remnants of forces that made it to the end. Arius stepped down as Dragonhawk in favor of athair some time ago, and while about half the Council would prefer to not answer to Drimmari Dra’zar as their lord, they can’t deny the strength of his claim to the title. Still, I wonder how long he’ll remain in that position. For my part, I suspect that he’ll return the mantle to Arius at some point, possibly in the relatively near future, though I can’t be certain. The quiet speculation about who he’ll name his heir when it comes to the Dragonhawk Seat is a minor sport, I think, among the Houses of the Everlight and its people alike.

I know both far too much and not enough about the Everlight these days myself—keeping that promise I made to Fleur all those years ago, the one I made again to Arius is part of it, though it’s more now than I think I ever intended. Today as I sat at my desk in the war room at Dawn’s Reach, staring at the board of all the mysteries we’re trying to solve, all the problems we’re sorting through, all the information and we’ve gathered about a thousand things, I wondered.

Wondered, if you hadn’t been taken, would I be in that chair? Would I be his general now, commanding the Everlight’s forces?

Of course, I suppose it doesn’t matter, but it’s one of those things that strikes. It certainly doesn’t stop me from taking risks or making mistakes. I’m currently under orders from Tyr not to swing a blade for the next three days unless it’s a matter of life and death—he doesn’t want to have to do any additional healing for my collarbone and decided for once on the luxury of letting it heal a little more slowly, with more natural healing than the alternative.

There’s always a new mystery to unravel, isn’t there? Always a new challenge. Perhaps someday I’ll tell you more, if you’d like to know. If I’m able.

I’ve not even told my husband about running into you. He might have been distracted enough not to notice but I know better than to count on that. Odds are that he knows something happened, just not what. Someday I’ll tell you more about that, too.

I meant what I said about not being afraid. If you love her as it seems you do, and she loves you the same, then take the chance. She’ll think it’s perfect, no matter what you do.
