Sunday night Sex with Sue (Johanson) was a staple on my TV.

When other countries were running from Sex Ed, Canada gave us this brilliant, sassy woman on TV. She went around the country educating students on sex and their own bodies. Taught us that you don't need to deep throat because a man thinks you should, just use your hand on the shaft as you suck the tip. Went to fetish shows and tried out the swings. Laughed when the vibrators she tested on camera wouldn't shut off. No question was off limits.

And empowered girls & women everywhere.

Everyone, raise a glass to Sue Johanson, an icon who gave some great sex ed to a lot of people.

In the late 1980s, Sue Johanson’s TV and radio program, Sunday Night Sex Show, was one of the only sources for accurate and inclusive sex education in Canada. Talking about everything from sex within the queer community to sex toys and fetishes....

I don't know if people still know her, but she was pretty damned badass.
