My Strontium Nitro A1 Micro SDXC Card 256GB (with my Paper Dolls) - Part 1 [May 4, 2021]

Hello! This month of May I have another item topic that I will tackle. So I want to un-hold my ongoing topics, because I have two reasons; #1 I want to do different item per month, and #2 I’m eagerly to expand my external Micro SD card of the same brand.🙂

Thus, my Strontium Nitro A1 Micro SDXC Card comes in with a whopping 256GB memory that they offer to all memory expand lovers like ME, who wants to store MORE cherish / important files on our current devices!😁📲📷💻

So here’s my part 1 of my  Strontium Nitro A1 Micro SDXC Card 256GB, with as always my paper dolls!😉

So without further ado, let’s get started:

1st to 3rd Image(s): • [1st Image]: Let’s start up with the package itself, I’d say nothing special. It’s a carbon copy from my previous one except the promising memory size. Guest you know the one. • [2nd Image]: Same goes to the rear, nothing special. It’s quite the same as my previous, although the numbers change despite I pick their highest memory size. • [3rd Image]: My paper dolls say that my micro sd card upgrade will have a the same worth it as your old one. Yeah, I hope so.😊

4th & 5th Image(s):  • [4th Image]: On the left part, I bring out my old 64GB package of the same brand as a comparison with my new 256GB variant. And as you can see their numbers are all different. As for their element proof features, symbols and rates on the right side, both the 64GB and 256GB are very exact the same. If you want to see the entire back view of my 64GB variant then please [CLICK ME!] to known more. • [5th Image]: My paper dolls seems very agree on their different variants, but otherwise they’re pretty much identical. So now they’re hungry for paper food. "So what’s on the menu?” that they both said, we’re having a beef instant noodles for midnight snack! Yum yum!😋🍜 Unfortunately, I can’t show ya because I’m only limit to 10 photos. Sorry, heheh...😅

6th to 9th Image(s): • [6th & 7th Images]: So now I pull out two items from the package to see and close up of my new Strontium Micro SD Card. Here’s what it looks like, both from on the back. • [8th & 9th Images]: And here are the two photos when I remove the plastic cover. You know, if only the company will replacing a boring plastic cover to a usable plastic case for a cool presentation and appreciation to good use. Just saying.🤔

10th Image: • My paper dolls saying that my new Micro SD Card really does the same as your old 64GB, plus they vey much agree what I said. I know, being reuse from recycle is so much respectable in our environmental mother earth. Hope their new Micro SD Cards from Strontium will listen to my words. Well sorta.🙂 •Also they say that will I my Honor 8C phone supports 256GB external with my upgrade Micro SD Card? Maybe, but very very soon.🙂

BTW: To this day, Strontium my 64GB Micro SD Card is still functional on my Honor 8C’s external storage. I haven’t seen or encounter any floss or issues whatsoever for 10 months! Absolutely worthy Micro SD Card brand, and that’s why I need to go extra storage with my new one!😄👍

Overall: • I’m so very happy to own a 256GB Micro SD card of the same brand.😊 I order this Strontium Nitro A1 256GB SDXC Card for  ₱1,449.14 (using my claimed discount vouchers, free shipping voucher and promos) from their official Lazada PH store [CLICK ME!] and that is during Lazada’s Big Birthday Sale on March 27th of this year; the original price is ₱1,795. And as of this post, Lazada offers another huge discount in the upcoming 5.5 Big Brands Sale on May 5. So yeah, I paid this 256GB Micro SD Card for ₱1,449.14 is a big savings for my wallet! 💵😁

Here’s my part 2 and final for my Strontium Nitro A1 Micro SDXC Card with my Paper Dolls. ⚡🙂

BTW: Much like my previous posts, some of my photos I took are now combined into one image via using GIMP; despite I have a total of 26 photos with Part 2 combined (90% I used my Samsung Galaxy S4, while 5% I used my Honor 8C) plus 3 screenshots from both phones I currently used in the Part 2.

So without further ado, let’s continue on:

15th & 16th Image(s) [combined]: •I removed the plastic case to close up for both Micro SD Card and SD Card Adapter’s details in front and rear. 🙂

17th & 18th Image(s): • [17th Image]: My paper dolls say that what device are you gonna used with Micro SD card? • [18th Image]: Well I’m glad you asked. As I said before, I want to expand my external memory for my Honor 8C using my new Micro SDXC Card. Because an 8GB micro SD card wasn’t enough for me to stored my future pictures, videos, etc... 😊 Also you noticed that I’m charging my phone from my power bank. ⚡🔋📱

19th, 20th and 21st Image(s) [combined]: • [19th & 20th Images]: Now before I insert my new Micro SDXC Card, here’s another comparison with my current used Sandisk 8GB Micro SDHC Card (which is a legit item btw and soon to be my back up storage) located on the upper left and my old Samsung Evo’s SD Card adapter (which is still works as of today even though I rarely used) located on the 2nd right side beside my Strontium SD Card Adapter. Now I can’t shown ya my Samsung Evo 64GB micro SDXC Card at this part of image was because I’m currently used to my Samsung Galaxy S4. 🙂 • [21st Image]: Here’s another close up between my Sandisk and Strontium’s back Micro SD Card comparison. There have their own model numbers and serials, with the only written was ‘Made in Taiwan’ from Strontium Nitro A1 Micro SDXC Card, yeah nothing special here. 🙂

22nd Image: • My paper dolls say that those are some ‘genuine’ memory cards and adapters, I know right thanks.☺️

23rd & 24th Image(s) [combined]: • So with the comparisons are done, it’s time for me to switch my old Sandisk 8GB Micro SDHC to my new Strontium Nitro A1 64GB Micro SDXC Card for my Honor 8C, and see how it works! 📲😁 I’ll see you at my phone screenshots!

1st and 2nd Honor 8C Screenshot(s) [combined w/ text & highlight]: • [1st screenshot] Okay, I insert my new Micro SDXC Card and look at my total storage space. That sounds good, but what if I reformat using my Honor phone instead of my computer/laptop. 🙂 • [2nd screenshot] Now I reformatted my new Micro SDXC Card and the result was a bit difference but it’s better nonetheless. 😊 • BTW: You may wondering why it did not exact the actual full storage space as it advertised when inserting any memory cards to any existing device, or in this case why some memory cards like my Micro SDXC card have less space than it’s advertised. Well, the truth was they’re not hiding from anything - nothing at all. And this is because the memory card companies uses ‘SI system’(or  ‘International System of Units’)  to denote cards sizes. . As evidence from these two websites, so please [CLICK ME #1], [CLICK ME #2].

1st Galaxy S4 screenshot: •Take this my Samsung Evo 64GB Micro SDXC card inserted to my Galaxy S4 (GT-i9505) for instance, it promises a 64GB full capacity storage but instead I have 59.62GB in total space storage. It looks fine by me and nothing to worried about that total space storage, this is because of ‘SI system’. And compare to my Strontium Micro SDXC Card on my Honor 8C seems a big difference.

•Here’s another example right here. I have 58.8GB of total storage when I connected my Honor 8C with my new Micro SDXC Card to my computer/laptop, again this is the work of ‘SI System’ so it’s fine by me. And yes I stored my important pictures and other stuff from my Samsung Evo’s backup files, as you can see I only have 44.2 GB remaining storage. 🙂

25th and 26th Image(s): • Now with my new Micro SDXC Card already inserted to my Honor 8C, I could finally take MORE pictures with my paper dolls and upcoming media stuff on my 64GB! 😊 In fact here are my first and second photos I took using my new Micro SDXC Card. And as for my old Sandisk Micro SDHC Card, I’ll be using it as my file storage, because I don’t have a USB flash drive right now. Sure there’s one but at least my old files are still intact, even though I can’t copy/move file(s). 🙂

Overall: • I would say that this is good Micro SDXC card from a promising yet underrated memory card company. Now I’m not gonna do a speed file test between read and transfer via windows software / smartphone app because it already tested before, so suffice to say that this Micro SDXC Card is perfectly fine and functional without any problems on every circuitry. And i’d just hope that my new Micro SDXC Card’s lifespan will be long-lasted and with some four standard features built-in, I hope It’ll be the same effect as my currently used Samsung EVO 64GB Micro SDXC Card. Bottom-line this is a good memory card product, so if you’re planning to ordered this Micro SDXC Card and in case that you’re on the tight budget, please go ahead and you won’t be disappointed. 🙂

It seems to me that I need to upgrade my Micro SD Card memory to my Honor 8C, but when I go any online shopping apps (e.g. Lazada or Shopee) has SO MANY fake/counterfeit Micro SD Cards with the cheapest price. Sure It’ll work, but was it worth after a couple of days, months and even years of their lifespan? I don’t think so! 😥 And don’t get me started with their counterfeit appearance depending of what famous Micro SD Card brands they choosing like Samsung EVO micro SD Card series or Sandisk Ultra series… 🙄😒 Luckily there’s a one memory brand company steps in that they want to run for their money 💵, compete against other memory brands ⚔️ and so fair it doesn’t have counterfeit/fake memory cards from someone 🙂, and that’s  Strontium Technology Pte Ltd.⚡ If you want to known about that company which you’ve never heard of and myself, then please [CLICK ME!].😉

1st & 2nd Image(s): • Here’s the actual image I’ve ordered from Lazada PH, and it costs me ₱424 ($8.60 in outside PH) plus free shipping voucher from Lazada, nice. 🙂 And their shipping delivery process it only takes 3 days before it delivered to my house, not bad. 😊 There’s also other memory sizes available on Nitro A1 micro SD Cards like 32GB, 128GB and 256GB. I was gonna get the 128GB but I don’t have enough money to get that, but I guess 64GB is okay to me.👍 Also, please [CLICK ME!] if you’re planning to buy, but if you’re at outside around the country (rather in US) then go Amazon or Gearbest.

3rd, 4th and 5th Image(s) [combined]: • [3rd & 5th Images] On the back of the package there are some infos and facts that about choosing Strontium brand, that’s sounds good on paper, but we’ll see. Also some written class and performance types on the right side speaks volumes. • [4th Image] Also some features about the Nitro A1 Micro SD card that built-in are Waterproof 💧, Temperature proof ��️, Magnet proof 🧲and X-Ray proof 💀. Hmmm that sounds promising in today’s standards for all well known memory cards brands but I hope It’ll work for Strontium brand. • Feel free to read the entire info by the way.

6th Image: • My paper dolls say that looks promising Micro SD Card brand. I know, despite some legit features and stuff I think it is a promising brand, but let see how it take long on their lifespan for Micro SD card.☺️

7th & 8th Image(s) [combined]: • Now let me explain about this next image; you see originally, I was gonna reviewed the Samsung EVO Plus 128GB Micro SD Card which is my big step up for my Honor 8C’s upgrade expand memory, but when my package was finally arrived and open it immediately, I realized somethings wrong about this package. Yes, my EVO plus 128gb package on the right was actually a ‘fake/counterfeit’😟, due to recognizable looks and appearance. And this is my first time that I owned a ‘fake/counterfeit’ micro SD card before, which is very disappointment for me. 😟 Now I’m not gonna go deep in the details about my counterfeit micro SD Card and it’s a good thing that I’m not plan to open, instead I’m gonna keep this in my drawer until I get the REAL and LEGIT Samsung Evo Plus 128 or 256GB variant. • Uh yeah and I almost forgot, this counterfeit Micro SD card costs me around ₱399 almost ₱400 ($8.09 - $8.11) plus free shipping voucher I have. • But for now, here’s my comparison between my Strontium Nitro A1 Micro SDXC Card (legit on the left) and my Samsung Evo Plus micro SD Card (fake on the right). I know it’s different but hey, this is just a comparison.

📷💻 My Yearend Techs and Misc. Items - 2021 📱🎮

Hello. As year 2021 will ended in just a few weeks, our daily lives started to get improve; all thanks to vaccination, and a little amount of daily indoor exercise Uh yeah, our country is now face shield FREE! Although, the Omicron variant started to raise numbers a bit, not a ton, so hopefully it'll not be the same as Covid-19 virus in 2022.

Anyway, enough for that, let's talk about my 'My Yearend Techs and Misc. Items 2021'! And here are my choices per month so far, both ongoing & done topics:

• JAN - My Essager USB Type C Cable 3A (Ongoing): In the few years, Micro USB Cables will soon to be obsolete. And manufacturer brands started to build cheap yet good quality USB Type C Cables. Such the case with my Essager USB Type Cable 3A. So far, I use it for charging purposes such as my phone, power bank, etc. Right now my topic for Essager Type C cable is still ongoing, and I hope it'll end it in early of 2022.

• FEB - My 2021 Fabric Phone Case for my Honor 8C (Completed): My old phone case for Honor 8C was already thrown away. That's why I bought a new one with fabric looking, cool deer face image & a word quote that inspires me.📱🦌😊

• MAR - My UGREEN Audio Cable Extension (Completed): My Awei AUX-001 1M audio cable wasn't enough to reach me wearing headphones while listening music or watching video (whether movie/tv show via stream online) on a relaxing sitting position. So that's why I need an audio extension cable of 2 meters from UGREEN, and so far it works well & I used it randomly, usually Sunday & Thursday nights. Plus, much like my old Awei audio cable, my UGREEN Audio Cable extension had nylon braid for tangle proof. Good thing I have cable strap to tie up clean while using.🎧🔈🙂 Plugging through my Awei Y-200 speaker also works, but I used it rarely.

• APR - My Skull & Co. Analog Thumb Grip Caps for my controllers (ongoing): Now, I haven't continue this topic yet, and so far I've only tested on my old broken 8bitdo SN30+ gamepad with this cool Analog Thumb Grip Caps from Skull & Co. Overall, this is something I need for customizing analog sticks on my controller, plus it's cheap price, so you can't go wrong with this. I haven't change the thumb grip caps yet on my 8bitdo SN30+ gamepad 🎮, nor I never tested on my blue DualShock 4 controller 🎮. And since my aforementioned old 8bitdo gamepad is malfunctioned looks like I'll be continue with my new 8bitdo Gamepad, the Pro 2! Just as soon as done connection & game test, etc... I'll be continue this topic in 2022.

• MAY - My Strontium Nitro A1 Micro SDXC Card 256GB (Completed): Back in 2020, I ordered an underrated 64GB Micro SD card from the Singaporean based brand 'Strontium' for my Honor 8C phone, and it worked perfectly. But in 2021, I thought to myself "My 64GB memory won't cut it for transferring more files". So, I decided to buy another Strontium Nitro A1 Micro SD Card, this time I chose 256GB variant! Good enough to store my image files, snapshots, games & more! And since my Honor 8C's micro SD capacity of 256GB, it recognize. So far I've seen no problems or cons for 256GB variant, and that's good! And don't worry about my 64GB variant, I'll used it as my backup storage & it functions as well.

• JUN - My Yunteng Tripod VCT-5208 (Completed): I need a good tall tripod for my phone (or any digital camera) so I can take snapshots very stable without holding my hands. And thus, Yunteng VCT-5208 comes in! 🤳📷 So far, I'm always using for my photoshoots & recording videos. And right now, the only I have is the head tripod. It keep falling off when I'm setting up & repositioning, it's so annoying, you know. Uh yeah, and the shutter button is broken, I don't have time to fix that yet strangely I don't need to, so whatever. I thought Yunteng is a good quality, but I lie. Nevertheless, it's a pretty decent tripod to used.

• JUL - Fixing my PC’s motherboard with new one from BioStar: I was gonna put another UGREEN product for July, but that all changed when my old MSi motherboard went haywire from my stupidly cleaning mistake. As the result, my gaming PC completely useless, so my parents bought a new one & he saved my PC. I'll repay them once I have enough money. I have a full story about this PC, and I'll get to that later.

• AUG - My USB Silicone Dust Cover Caps (Completed): We've forgot to clean our USB ports after daily use, and we don't have something to cover after cleaning. That's why I need a USB Silicone Dust Cover Caps to protect against unwanted dusts through my functional gadgets such as my power bank, USB wall charger, and even my PC desktop/laptop. There's also other Silicone Dust Cover Caps for other ports such as HDMI, 3.5mm Audio Jack, Type C ports, and more with a range of colors to choose. So, if you ever worried about dusts entered your ports, then these Silicone Dust Cover Caps should solve your problems.

• SEPT - My ZNT SoundFit Wireless Headphone/Headset (Completed): Hey, speaking of Headphones, here's my next main headphone after my old headphone completely broken. Which I'll get to that later. My first ZNT item brand, the SoundFit wireless headphone/headset. Now, how should I put it? The comfort of earpads feels great, it fits perfectly on my head, and the sound quality is more like bass than other important tones. The only issue that I'm concern is the button placement, I'd just don't like it nor fan of that. But otherwise, it was a good budget wireless headphone. Good thing it's in neat condition after unopened for 2 years.

• OCT - My Panasonic Eneloop AA Batteries (Completed): Cell batteries never gets old, and they're won't be obsolete anytime soon. For instance, my Panasonic Eneloop batteries are one of the best quality cell batteries for daily electronics that involves either AA or AAA batteries/battery 🔋🔋🔋🔋. Right now, I equipped one Eneloop AA battery through my wireless mouse, and with long lasting battery life I need to change another one immediately. Uh yeah, the other Eneloop AA battery is now charging from cell battery charger after long used. On Dec 19th, 2021 (Sunday) I charged this single Eneloop AA at 10:25 PM, until the next day at 6:30 AM when it finally full charged. Don't worry, I still have two more Eneloops. I'll buy more Eneloop AA batteries, as well as AAA variant for my wireless keyboard soon.

• NOV - My Custom Gaming PC Desktop Story - 5th Anniversary: Okay, back to my PC. It's been 5 years for this medium spec gaming PC desktop, and I'm still using it right now after replacing new motherboard, courtesy of BioStar brand! And no, I'm not planning upgrading my OS to Windows 11; plus it's not supported, I checked it on PC Health Check. If you want to read my entire story, then please click that link from above.↑

Here are my honorable mentions:

• JUL - My UGREEN USB Extension Cable and Hub - USB 3.0 variant [CLICK ME! #1], [CLICK ME! #2]: I used these USB extension and hub for my pen tab & my wireless keyboard/mouse combo. And with additional USB slots from the hub, all equipped with USB 3.0 ports & power supply port via micro USB port (If only type C port), I could transfer my files with my hard drive or charging my phone. Well, sort of? I haven't finish that topic yet nor testing USB hub's features, so I'm sorry for long delay. Did I mentioned that my USB hub can also support OTG phone? Yup, all I need is my USB OTG! I haven't test that as well, but I'll do that in next year.

• JAN - My UGREEN USB Bluetooth Adapter (Ongoing): Yup, another UGREEN from my mention list; so far, I literally love this USB Bluetooth adapter so much 📶. I used it for my daily techs, from my wireless controller to speaker & headphone. I haven't test file transfer from my phone, am I? Yeah, I haven't, as well as testing DualShock 4 controller through my UGREEN Bluetooth adapter. Don't worry, I'll continue that as well in 2022.

• DEC - My 8bitdo Pro 2 (Ongoing [sorry no picture available]): Here's my last honorable mention. My new 8bitdo Gamepad called the 'Pro 2'. A replacement to my old malfunctioned SN30 Pro+ Gamepad. So far, I'm only posted two parts & I never get to connection play test via wireless, despite that I'm busying doing other projects. Hey, I'm just so excited & I can't wait to play it though!🎮😁

Alright, back to my topic pick & this is my last!

• DEC - My Awei A780BL wireless headphone's 2 year condition: Much like my 5 year old PC desktop, my wireless headphone had reach years of usage. Well, at least 2 years. With notable damages from broken plastic parts, to unquestionable shutting off by pressing play/pause or volume buttons, my old Awei (A780BL) wireless headphone still working as before 🎧🎶😊. The only thing that never broke is the audio quality itself, which is far better than my new ZNT SoundFit headphone 🎧 (in terms of audio comparison).
