The effects of Martyn’s raid on Ren the other week continue to be felt

Etho claims that he has to roleplay around Ren; ‘It’s the rules,’ he told Gem Scar and xB. Ren has declared Etho his second-favorite theatre kid. Bdubs is shocked and horrified at the thought of Etho using a silly accent (but he entered the scene speaking in verse and addressing Ren as a fallen king, so methinks the kingmaker doth protest too much)

JUST WATCHED OWEN'S STREAM EARLIER. Spoilers for non-stream peeps. ---

Remember that island that was covered in purple and tentacles? IT'S ALL STONE NOW... but another thought popped into my head as I was watching... Does that mean Aimsey's body is probably covered in stone? Is there a statue of them now on the island? DID GUQQIE SEE THEM WHEN SHE AND THE ISLAND ROBED PEOPLE STOPPED IT AND BEFORE THEY GOT TURNED TO STONE TOO?? Oh no.. </3 I think Guqqie was also sacrificed by the people in robes to stop the purple stuff.. only reason why they were the only one going up those steps without the golden hooded figures despite being in their boat. I have a feeling they didn't tell her she was sacrificing herself otherwise they would've told the whole SMP when the players encountered them and asked for a volunteer. This is all just my hypothetical, but if this is what happened, that would be heartbreaking.

9, with Vex and Percy (except it's something she's making, maybe? >:D)

Going with tlovm universe since it’s highly implied that Vex builds things there. Based on events that happen in the stream, though! So if you are unaware of stream spoilers, maybe steer clear of this one. Also, as usual, I can't follow prompts so :)

Vex stares at the sketch, her nose wrinkling in concentration.  “Can it have a sliding piece that moves up and down?”

“Yes, that is quite possible,” Percy nods to himself as he makes a note. “But we must think of a way to make it safe.”

“So that there are no pinched fingers?”

“Exactly,” he agrees. “Perhaps if we put the mechanism itself on the far side?”

“Toward the front?”

“Yes.”

They wait for inspiration to strike, but nothing happens, and Vex finds herself yawning. “Maybe we should call it a night. It’s getting late.”

“Yes, you’re right.” Percy looks up, his eyes glittering in the candlelight. “We will get it right, dear. I know we will.” 

“I hope so,” she sighs. “This crib needs to be worthy of a de Rolo.”

Percy’s face changes at her words, growing pensive and almost sad. He puts down his pencil and takes her hand in his. She can feel his familiar callouses scraping against her skin. “It needs to be worthy of our child. That is all. I am utterly confident in your abilities, Vex. I always have been.”

“I know.” And she does know because Percy reminds her. Whenever her father's voice starts to creep into her mind, whispering things about her worthless blood, Percy is there to ground her.

As her hand finds the swell of her stomach, she feels a foot kick her in response. At that moment, her sadness and joy intermingle. They thread into a tapestry she does not have the energy to unweave.

Percy takes her in his arms, and she hugs him close. They stand like that until Percy frees her from the embrace, taking her arm and tucking it under his. “Let’s go to bed.”

She blows out the candles and follows her husband to their bed.

Absolutely engrossed by the most mundane, minor subplot of season ten—the wholesale stone deal between Joe Hills and Etho

Etho choosing to get himself into a comical amount of debt to Joe Hills, repeatedly. Because he’s the one who controls how many shulkers he gives for Joe to fill with stone—every empty box dropped off is a 2-diamond debt he’s signing up for

The existence of that debt leading Joe to adjust his build plans somewhat significantly—the roads of his massive community area build are now being outlined in froglights. Because Etho sells froglights. And Etho owed him hundreds of diamonds—so Joe can pay for the absurd amount of froglights he requires by cancelling Etho’s debt and leaving “you owed me” tokens in the payment box.

Joe could just build a froglight farm—but it’s funnier to get it from Etho. And Etho can get froglights a lot easier than he can get diamonds so I imagine he’s happy as well. They could just renegotiate the deal to a straight trade instead of the somewhat convoluted current arrangement—but I bet they won’t. Because it’s goofy, and fun, and most importantly it’s a Bit

I’m pretty sure this is the first real bit the two of them have had together

And I am. Enraptured. I’m cheering as other hermits start to patronize Etho’s stone shop. I’m trying to catch every Joe stream I can for debt updates. At some point over the course of this saga I was forced to admit that I am an actual Joe Hills fan, he’s one of my favs now, heaven help me lol

(And! It’s just really cool that this massive community area of Joe’s is being shaped by the resource needs of the other hermits! It’s like, thematic!)
