I finished the Doctrine Book-bag for my Lamb cosplay! I think jt turned out pretty well, I used black foam clay for the edges and was going to carve them when dried, but I actaully?? Really like the goopy unclean look so I might keep it

I might still carve it idk, and maybe replace the strap with a chain for the whole theme

I know the Doctrine is a book in game and usually as a prop but I need something to hold my phone and wallet in easy access for when we scour the artist alley, so this idea came to be. Now it can hold my stuff AND it's in character!

I also recycled a cardboard box to put my cosplay in, made it look COTL specific:

What I don't get about the password-sharing fiasco is....if it was the olden days and you rented a couple DVD/VHS movies, until you brought them back to the shop you could do whatever with them.

You could give them to other people to watch. You could show a movie to a group of ten friends. You had already paid for the tapes, so who was going to care what you did with them in that time?

Similarly, if you have already paid for a Netflix/Max/Dianey+/Paramount+/whatever subscription, you're getting charged monthly for that. The companies have already decided how much it is worth to rent their entire catalogue to you for a month.

So during your "rental period" for these movies and shows, who are they to say what you do with them? If you have someone over for Netflix and chill, they aren't part of your household, so should they not be able to watch a movie you are renting? If you want your friends to see something cool, who cares if they live a town away? That movie is still being paid for, and your "rental" will renew the following month when you pay your bill.

It feels like going to a video store, paying for a bunch of movies, then having to march back to the store with the friend who's going to watch them with you so they can also pay for the movies......while you're still renting them.

i really wish we got the tf2 tv show because i think, about your talk about how pyro ends up being a foil to the other characters, pyro is such a wildcard of a character that if you need someone for an episode to complete a dynamic it's pyro. he's designated driver. he's the mcdonalds employee. he's scout's ma. she's helping miss p dismember bodies. it's coming in through the dog door

your ask got me thinking about how i'd use pyro in a show and IDK if anyone else has seen Solar Opposites but how they split the Pupa's screentime between A + B plots in the first/second season would be spot on the money for me. Pyro could be there, in the A plot, in small ways (like you said, at the back of the bus or en rotue to the episodes mission) but then gets sucked into a 'mundane' B plot for some tonal levity within the episode. Pyro's gotta run that FTSE 500 company! They've gotta seduce the Ballicorn comic writer in order to read the never-published final issue! They've gotta earn an Astrophysics PHD in order to steal their Professor's Pokemon topped pen....that sort of thing. And then occassionaly they can show up with the deus-ex-mechina for the episode with the rest of the team being none the wiser (other than vaguely baffled as their flamethrower could've REALLY come in handy fighting those haunted scarecrows).

This is probably Too Niche, but to the vivid dreamers out there: do you ever get nostalgic for a place from your dreams that isn't real? I have recurring locations in my dreams that just. don't exist. And I find myself thinking about them or having "memories" about them even though they don't exist and never have. But they're real in my heart even though I'll never go there.

Sorry this took me a bit to get to, the dress was not in my possession since it was a gift for my friend, but I borrowed it to make some repairs! (honestly for not making a test patch and then sending thru the durability test that is dancing and jumping around for an MCR cover band I'm surprised the casualties were kept to like, one or two strands)

Also here's a video of it in motion! Since pics don't capture how much the beads sparkle plus how much motion the dangly bits have

Today was a day of rest, I can't do too many trips out of the house in a week with my fatigue so needed to recharge. I watched the start of the Paralympics opening ceremony, think I'm up to Egypt, I love seeing all the different outfits. Geography is something I am terrible at so I like when the announcers say where the countries are.

Played some DA:I, finished clearing the rest of the Storm Coast, minus the offshoot part and behind the dwarven doors. I also checked and the glitch I ran into with Blackwall was finding the item for his romance quest before actually queuing up the quest. So I talked to him to set it up and checked with the other companions at Skyhold. Trying not to worry that I've got low approval with Vivienne and Cassandra...

I've just been in game getting some shots for Glenn. You know how like 67% of the time my builds don't have enough light? Well the tower room I was in had way too much no matter how I fiddled with the arrangement. So when Glenn meets Drusilla and their skin is semi glowing we're all just so going to pretend we do not see 🙈
