Holiday Pining Posepack

A collection of emotionally poignant poses for your lovesick sims getting through the holiday season. These were gathered from some recent story posts of mine and I thought I'd like to share ♥

Moment Of Peace Couple Posepack

Hi everyone! As a celebration of my 1 year anniversary of my sims story I decided to release some of the niche poses I made for it that I think might be helpful for others!

This pack was made for a heartfelt conversation between two sims that gets interrupted from someone approaching behind the female Sim. I specifically wanted the walking part to have Main Character Energy 😂 so if you ever wanted your Sim to dramatically stroke the leaves of a plant during a conversation, this is the pack for you!

For that pose to work I placed the teleporter right next to the plant (I used the one from Romantic Garden Stuff but any plant around this height should work). For a more defined position, you can also use TOOL to move your Sim around.

This pack includes 7 poses for 2 Sims in total, three of them are standing, the other four are seated on a bench. Be aware that clipping might occur!

Cooking Conversation

Today I have some poses that I made for myself because I needed them, except I got a little carried away and made a whole set. 🤣

Pack contains 20 solo poses plus all-in-ones for a Sim talking/showing emotions while cooking with a saucepan and spoon - 10 are freestanding, meaning that the Sim will pose wherever you place the teleporter, and 10 are for use with a stove (place teleporter in the middle of the stove).

Important! The saucepot and spoon meshes do not belong to me. They were made by Storybooksimblr/Treefriend who has since deactivated, and I converted them to stigmata initially for my own use. The saucepot should work with other cooking poses that use the original even if they're not designed for stigmata, but the spoon will not since I also resized it (and decimated it since it was originally 3K poly - it's now 150 poly). I have overwritten both files since it didn't make much sense to lower a polycount and then have to have the larger file in your Mods anyway, but that does mean you can't have these stigmata versions and the originals in your Mods at the same time. I've given them different thumbnails just to make the distinction clear.

Of course, they haven’t lost all hope. I may be doomed to crusty old widowers, but they’re still trotting out pretty girls for you. You might just marry yet.

Caleb: [mumbles] Isn’t that a loathsome thought?

Lilith: At least they’d leave you be. There are only so many reasons a young man willingly resigns himself to perennial bachelorhood, and they’re beginning to grow suspicious.

Caleb: We both have our proclivities.

Lilith: Yes. But people talk, and their talk is far less likely to wound you if you’re the one directing its aim.

Caleb: Oh, is that what’s happening when they call you the femme fatale of the ball in the society pages?

Lilith: There are far worse things to be called. Count yourself lucky they’ve only latched onto your social ineptitude thus far, wilted wallflower.

Cosmic Tension Posepack

Tense conversational poses for two characters. I made them for a recent scene I did and realized I got a lot of reuse out of them and that they were quickly becoming a staple, so I thought I'd like to share <3

the life path legacy challenge by @gruesimss

currently sitting at five generations, but plan to add more in the future

the point of this legacy is to not have such a cut & dry legacy. i wanted to like be able to roll a number and like have to go down a certain life path that is given. this was mainly created bc when i watch lets plays i never want to play the actual legacy bc i have already seen it done so i wanted to do something where like there’s a possibility that everyone plays it differently. the endings/pathways are endless.

SOME RULES & INFO:

use a number generator for every given path.

you can use cheats but nothing going overboard, it is preferred to cheat as little (we know how glitchy the sims are sometimes) as possible especially for the first generation.

some generations require/recommend cc traits & mods, i will have them all linked for each generation.

there is a chance where you’ll come across a repeat aspiration or career, if you want you can just roll again if there is more than two life paths or just play the opposing path

Posebox 2.0 - Memory function for pose used

In 2024 I have really been getting into staging posed pictures to further enhance my stories and enjoyment of the game, thanks to inspiration and teachings by the wonderful Rachums on twitch. I enjoy it, but one of my struggles is the fact that I have very severe brain fog and remembering what the heck I used to undo it is a challenge. So I thought I'd bring my bhav-savvy, and celebrate the 20th anniversary by giving poseboxes a little quality of life addition! :)

Which is how I landed on this creation, which adds support for the posebox to remember what pose you last used.

Unfortunately I can't automatically apply it to existing poseboxes, but I can provide a base for posebox creators to use and start adding this functionality to new boxes! :) That is the creation I have for you today. It is based on the VeninOrchid base provided in the Shenanigans workshop on pose creation, but a separate clone with new guid, and my new code added. I have included creator resources (images and a video) of what is different when adding poses to this base.

I hope to in future also post a video on how to apply this code to already created poseboxes, for creators who would like to do it, but find it overly tedious to re-do the posebox from scratch (which yeah, that would suck!). And perhaps for simpe-comfortable posebox users to edit their favorite boxes if the original creator doesn't want to themselves :)

Running Away

Today's posepack is another commission, which I made for Talja back in February. ❤️ It's a bit of a fiddly one because it requires an acc and a deco object, but honestly I'm really pleased with the poses and I hope they're useful to other people too!

Pack contains 6 couple poses for two Sims running down a set of stairs. Masc and femme rigs were used and, as always, there may be some clipping or floating depending on Sim body type and clothing.

The suitcase acc was made from the Growing Together suitcase and is base game. Posemakers, feel free to use the accessory in your own poses and include it in your downloads, just please don't paywall or claim it as your own (and a link back for credit would be super appreciated!).

The stairs are made by KKB and honestly I can't even remember how I got them, since their original download link is dead - the creator seems to be exclusively using CurseForge now lmao. I won't be linking to CF.
