New years prompt ideas! 🎆

✩ "Countdown confessions" Two strangers just so happen to get stuck in an elevator on New Year's Eve with the clock ticking down to midnight. To pass time slightly faster they start confessing silly secrets or just telling each other stories about their own lives. How will it end? Will they become friends? How long will they stay in the elevator for?

✩ "A resolution exchange" A group of friends decide to write their crazy New Year's resolutions on slips of paper, put them in a hat and randomly draw someone else's goals. What would you put? Would it be about another person or yourself? Would you make it fun or normal?

✩ "A forgotten toast" At a New year's dinner two people sitting at the edge of table realize they were left out of the group toast. So they decide to make their own private toast, sharing their personal goals and moments of vulnerability. How does that relationship progress? Are they close with this other person or complete strangers? How does the night end?

✩ "The countdown Challenge" At a New Years hangout between friends two people (more specifically two exes) are dared by their friends to list ten things they like about each other before the countdown ends. Do they just make fun of each other the whole time? Does this do something to their relationship? Or do they both just refuse all together?

✩ "Under the streetlights" After a failed New Years party, a couple decides to leave early and go for a walk to get away from all the commotion. Under glowing streetlights and snowy sidewalks they share a quiet moment to welcome the new year together.

✩ "A costume countdown" At a masquerade themed New Year's Eve party, a couple who has been arguing all night doesn't recognized each other in their costumes at all. They share a nice moment as 'strangers' just before their masks come off. How do they react once the masks are off? Does the initial argument get worse or better?

✩ "An almost kiss" Two long term friends find themselves alone once the New Year's countdown begins. As the crowd cheers for the countdown they both lean in for a kiss but get interrupted at the last moment by someone or something. The rest of the night is this awkward 'will they or wont they'. How does the night end? Did they or not?

✩ "Midnight texts" Two people in a situationship accidentally send a heartfelt New Year's texts to each other instead of their best friends. After some awkwardness they end up admitting what they've been scared to say all year. Or do they? If they do how does it end? Is it bad or good?

✩ "The quiet goodbye" Two friends have been slowly drifting apart over the last year and meet for the first time after a while at a New Years part. There's a heavy silence between them as the countdown begins, they share an unspoken understanding that their friendship may be coming to an end. But neither of them is sure whether they're ready to let go or if they'll give things another shot in the new year. Do they give each other another shot? Is it an unspoken understanding or do they end up talking about it? Or maybe they end up getting in an argument?

Danny held up his phone without looking OR halting his itching.

DEAD SILENCE.

"....... Note to Skulker, stay away from that brand of soap," came Skulker's shakey voice.

"Ditto," Ember shakily agreed.

Danny Phantom: Blood Blossom idea:

I was ABOUT to SLEEP, when my brain kicked me HARD with an idea. (Feel free to use it in any crossover you want.)

One day, Danny is at a Laundromat washing his clothes. (He's 18-30 in age in the scene in my head.) He realizes he doesn't have money to use the machines. A stranger kindly offers to wash his stuff with theirs. Thankful, Danny accepts.

Later on, Danny's WHOLE torso starts ITCHING/BURNING like he came into contact with a LOT of Poison Ivy. It got to the point where he was rubbing up and down on nearby trees, walls, whatever he could use to scratch his tormented back. Someone came up to ask what's wrong and Danny SNARLS/HISSES at them. Glowing eyes and everything. Feeling guilty and confused after seeing the person run off screaming, Danny thinks about what could be causing the irritation and traces it back to the Laundromat. Frantically looking up the soap the person used comes up with horrifying results. The soap had Blood Blossoms in it. Not enough to cause too much pain or be harmful or fatal, but still enough. Danny frantically tears off his shirt, ignoring the baffled looks he got. Yup, his torso was covered in rashes.

how to describe a loving gaze

⇸ eyes darting all over your face, trying to figure out which part of you they want to set their eyes on the most (it's impossible)

⇸ gazing at you like you're miles away only when you're a few feet away, standing with another person. their stare is hard, intense, but also melting and blank.

⇸ a featherlight touch to your arm with their eyes softly peering up at you. they can't believe that you're allowing them to touch you like this—so innocent, so softly.

⇸ late nights where its just the two of you in a car. they turn over to look at you but immediately turn. for the safety of the both of you, they can't stare at you any longer

⇸ when you're teasing them, they have to bite down extra hard to not release that smile from their lips. their eyes are squinted more tightly than usual. still, they're glued onto you.

⇸ meeting their eyes from across the room, and the two of you have the exact same thought. you turn away first to hold back your laughter, but their eyes are pinned onto you.

⇸ a softened gaze in a random moment. there's no reason for them to be looking at you like that—with slightly hooded eyes and parted lips—except for the fact that they just love seeing you

⇸ you're twirling around in your new outfit, showing the 360 angle. their pupils look like they're completely taking over the iris of their eye. suddenly, breathing becomes a lot more faster than they remember.

⇸ tears run like thrashing rivers on your face, dripping onto your pants and soaking the sleeves of your shirt. but they don't care. even when wiping your tears, they still can't get over how you look absolutely angelic like this.

⇸ eyeing you in the middle of the night, feeling incredibly lucky that they are the only one who can look at you in this state. a smile dawns upon their face as they trace the shape of your jaw, press their fingers in your cheekbones, and kiss you on the cheek.

⇸ a make-out session that seems like it will never stop until they pull away, and the reason being, "i needed to look at you like this," with swollen lips and a red flush.

⇸ laughter dying down into silence. looking at each other and bursting into laughter again.

⇸ being completely bare in front of each other after a long night. shameless admiration where their eyes move up and down your face and body. there's a mix of lust and adoration in their eyes.

⇸ watching you storm off, and all they can do is stand there, focused on your fleeting figure. their face is contorted—not in an angry way—but a look of concern flashes across their features. did they just lose the one they loved the most?

⇸ getting food with the other person and realizing that this is all it takes for you to be content. this is what happiness feels like, you think.

⇸ a gripping hug that makes you feel so seen. that one second during the embrace where you two both look at each other, and time stands still. you want to frame the expression on the other person's face.

⇴ person a mentions something offhandedly, but person b remembers it forever (bonus points of b gets it/does it for a)

⇴ "sometimes, i wonder if you're real. it's like you're made for me." person a hesitates after saying that to person b, "you're my best friend."

⇴ person b can't take it anymore and grabs person a's face, hinging themselves onto person a's lips because they've (person b) wanted this for so long.
