Overwatch Story Predictions!!

Since Story missions are coming next season I thought it would be a good idea to discuss what my key predictions are!!

First one is a common one and that is either Solider or Cassidy are going to kill Reaper. If Solider is the one to kill Reaper it's going to be both of them dying but if Cassidy kills him I see it being a moment when Reaper wants to die, like he doesn't fight back or anything. Either way we are all going to cry.

Someone in the Overwatch team is going to start going down the same path Reyes did, idk who, my prediction is Pharah since they have a similar moral of "change the system/change the law". Which honestly scares me cause Cassidy is on Talon's hit list and we all know what happen with Gerard in Retribution.

Reinhardt's dying, not only because it makes sense but a lot of the characters have had a handing down of the torch moment, Cassidy and Ana being an example, so if Rein dies I defiantly see this being that moment for Brigitte and Rein.

Widowmaker redemption. I don't need to explain this.

Moira is going to be killed by Angela, Widow, Reaper, Sigma or Pharah, depending on the person I will either enjoy her death or be very frightened about the aftermath.

Sombra getting hurt by Talon and Sigma loosing his shit because of it. This ties into a possible Moira death.

Cassidy and Solider having a talk on what they're going to do about Reyes, this could also possibly a moment where Cassidy helps Morrison move on from the past.

Cassidy and Tracer being the main focus of dealing with Talon and the Old Soldiers trio and Cassidy helping Tracer through her survivors guilt.

Angela is going to be tempted to do some morally questionable stuff.

Kiriko isn't going to forgive Hanzo, at least not quickly.

Roadhog dies, idk why I think this will happen, he's just giving me vibes.

Also I saw someone else say this but I do believe Junkrat is going to join Overwatch while Roadhog joins Talon, or the other way around, I honestly just don't think they're going to stay on the same side.

Lifeweaver join Overwatch fairly quickly after meeting everyone.

It's going to be revealed that Viskar were the ones transporting Echo.

All the Omnics and possibly Genji are going to be hacked/controlled at some point and we'll have to fight them.

Something with The Conspiracy happens.

B.O.B sacrifices himself to save Ashe, causing Ashe to join forces with Overwatch to get him back.

Sojourn and Cassidy are going to be the default leaders of this new Overwatch. Through them we are also going to find out more on what happened between Jack and Gabe.

Anyways maybe it’s a me thing (it’s definitely a me thing) but, I do get a little sad when ppl act like Peri doesn’t care about or straight up hates Dev. I’ve seen a few rbs and tweets it’s not a lot but, it did make me think about this. See I actually got the opposite impression of what we’ve seen of the dynamic. Peri cares a bunch for the kid and Dev doesn’t dislike him just still struggling to trust him. We’ve seen him take awhile to trust ppl and let his mask down for Hazel. She also seems to be the only one who got to him so far.

So Peri is going through what a lot of parents do, ending up with a kid they weren’t prepared for. Bro seems mostly tired. If anything I feel if Peri was to be mad at anyone it not be Dev, it be the fairy department who assigned him a very obviously tougher case that a newbie as himself wasn’t equipped to handle. Dev by no means is a bad kid but, he’s more complicated compared to his god kid counterpart in Hazel. She definitely has her own issues (hence why Cosmo and Wanda wanted to help her) but, she’s more well adjusted than what’s going on with lil Dimmadome over there.

I’ve seen someone mentioned Peri was screwed over by the Fairy Department here which I 100% agree with. In fact I’ll go a step further and say they both were. Just like Peri should have been given a kid who he could more reasonably handle Dev should have gotten a gotten a fairy that had more experience so they could properly handle his issues. Yet despite all this I actually like that they were paired up this way.

It was a unfair yes but, also really irrelevant thinking about this. Cus given how the episodes been going so far I definitely see these two having an arc about Peri learning to appreciate his parents while letting them know he’s his own man now. While Dev is gonna learn to continue to open himself up to others. Eventually growing to trust Peri and see him as a dad. You given who his actual dad is like.

I take these two so seriously guys. I don’t think I’ve seen a fairy and god kid relationship like this. Most of them are usually at least got along relatively well. Honestly no not here. Peri and Dev pair up feels like it is set up to fail yet the idea they still in the end up making it work and get to see each other eye to eye is great. I have a strong feeling that where this is heading.

I’ll give them a bit and they’ll be like the sweetest adopted father and gay son dynamic. 💞

Edit: Wtf where all these notes coming from? I’m at least glad to see ppl agree with me here. I’m beyond happy he got Peri btw. Even if in universe it probably was a mess up or The Fairy Department fucking shit up lol

bnha villain izuku au but he isn't actually a villain; he still really loves and idolizes heroes but forcibly adopts the LOV and now they're all having tea with inko as she dresses up toga in a cute dress, puts an egregious amount of lotion on shigaraki and helps him break his habits, gives dabi the best mom hugs he's ever had, calls magne the most beautiful woman she's ever seen (and even helps her transition), slaps down adoption papers for the entire league and gets them all put in therapy

inko single-handedly beats the shit out of AFO and manages to put him in an early grave through the sheer force of being a Mom to a bunch of traumatized kids

We need some Barbie Wire Analysis . . .

Because for a character with maybe . . . 2-3 minutes of screen time, she sure has an outsized importance in the show. This is rivaled only by Tilla, who we know even less about.

Barbie gets the major callback in the last scene of Season 2. As other bloggers have pointed out, it could have been Fizz, who's a much bigger character so far. Fizz hated Blitz for 15 years, and they were able to finally reconcile-- even though 15 years is still a long time, that would have been, arguably, a more hopeful, comforting story for Stolas to hear.

But Barb, well, she's on his mind. She always is. "I miss her every day."

Barbie's absense, I think, is made more real by the way in which the show introduces her through photos, and she's never overtly mentioned in all of Season 1.

We're told that Blitz has a twin, that they performed together in the circus (or maybe after), and through her non-mentions, that something bad happened.

Then she's in the photo that makes Blitz finally break down at the end of Ozzie's.

I like how the twins mirror each other here. Similar eyes and face shapes, circus marks on their foreheads, pointy teeth, simple joy and enthusiasm. Whatever their lives were like at that time, they experienced it together, and there were good times.

Barb is central to Blitz's loss and his capacity for love.

We finally meet Barb in Unhappy Campers, and the way she's introduced . . . well. Unfortunately a lot of us were so disappointed that Blitz wasn't going to visit Stolas that we couldn't fully process what he was doing. When he first asked about Barb, my first reaction was "who?"

But that hasn't been Blitz's experience. He's just been keeping a major part of his day to day thoughts and feelings from us.

This nurse knows what's up. He's come back again and again to see Barb, and no taser can deter him.

It's such an obvious and central part of his life- missing Barb, trying to reconnect with her, that he seems honestly unaware that he's never told Moxxie about her at all.

It might feel like we're thrown into an emotional family confrontation out of nowhere, but Blitz has gone through years, potentially, of trying to get Barb to talk to him and being shut down. The hurt in his face, how it wears on him, and how he can't bear to give up hope. Well. It's all there.

So at this point, we still don't know Barb deeply. We only know what Blitz has told us, but more importantly, how he reacts to her absence, how he refuses to give up.

It tells us a lot about his stubbornness, the fine line he walks between resilience, hope, and just a pigheaded refusal to give up.

Maybe Barb is a part of why Blitz is like this. Maybe losing her taught him that some things are so important that it's worth never giving up, even if continuing to try is painful.

Maybe there will be a reconciliation, in part or in full.

But honestly, I also won't mind if a lesson Blitz needs to learn is that sometimes you do need to give up on someone you love. For that person's freedom to reinvent themselves. For your own sanity and contentment in life.

And if Blitz does let her go (at least of the practical fight to reconnect)? He'll think of her every day still.

I've unintentionally become obsessed with Jiang Cheng MDZS. He's thrust into power at a young age, he hates his brother, he loves his brother, his family is dead, he was suffocated by the pressure they put on him, his dead/alive brother's core is literally sustaining him and saved him from living only half a life, he's agressive and brash and snarly, he loves dogs, he uses a whip as a weapon and everyone compares him to his mother, he's purple, he has no friends except his nephew who is a literal child who is also everyone else's nephew, a portion of the fandom crucifies him for obstructing the main couple. Truly no one is doing it like Jiang Cheng.

rarely speak on here so im just gonna say my one two. azzi has been injured for a majority of her college career so sure maybe you don’t know her game well enough to see how great of a player she is but with that same thought, don’t speak on her then. as someone from the dmv we produce so many great athletes and I knew who azzi fudd was before i ever heard the name paige bueckers. i’ve seen her play in high school and my sister played against her in hs as well. she has consistently been a great player throughout her career and im tired of yall acting like paige made her. azzi fudd was azzi fudd long before she knew paige and the same goes for paige as well. i’m noticing a lot of the people speaking down on azzi are newer fans of paige who only started liking her when she blew up on tiktok. like yall are losing ur minds over “pushing azzi into paige’s spotlight” and talking about giving her visibility without accomplishments (mind u her accolades are lengthy). while, and as much as yall may not want to admit this a lot of this new visibility paige has, is not solely because of her skill. now this isn’t me putting down paige to defend azzi because i love blondie and she’s a great player, but she has been for a while. paige was a no.1 recruit, consistently broke and set new records and since her freshman year coaches have been talking about how great of a player she is but half of yall still didn’t know her. she was well known and a superstar in the basketball world but did not have this level of fame and visibility yall are losing ur minds about before she blew up on tiktok. which is why i get so confused about the new fans hating on azzi for “not working for it” bc did u not just find out about paige fromm thirst trap tiktoks?? like if you actually know and watch basketball, you know azzi fudd. just how it used to be for paige before this. anyways yall are weird and im excited for azzi to show out this season 😛

Writing Apollo-as-a-young-deity is fun because sometimes it involves completely making shit up based on the loose outline of a story told through old poems, prayers and plays and other times it involves researching the totally legit and well documented ancient art of studying sheep livers to make sure your statesmen don't accidentally piss off Jupiter.
