Steve was feeling lost.  He had been since he’d woken up from the ice.  This world was so different to what he was used to and what he’d expected it to be.  Howard Stark had him believe that there would be flying cars just for starters.  Not that the tech wasn’t well beyond what he could ever have imagined, it was just so different.  It was culture shock, plain and simple.  Everything was familiar and just different enough to knock him sideways.

That wasn’t the worst part though.  The worst part was he’d woken up and he’d been fighting the same goddamn fight ever since.  Apparently sacrificing your whole life to save the world wasn’t enough for society to learn a lesson.

So he’d gone from fighting aliens over a piece of equipment he’d killed himself trying to destroy.  To fighting the same Nazi groups he’d thought he’d already defeated.  To finding out somehow Bucky was still alive.

It was a lot.  Too much.  He was tired and while he was making friends, he still felt quite alone and misunderstood.

And just when he thought things couldn’t get any weirder, the son of his friend from 1944 had invited him to move into his building.

Tony was - interesting.  Steve was having trouble understanding him honestly.  There was something there.  Like seeing like.  But he couldn’t quite figure out what it was about the man that made him feel that way.  However, even as much as he respected him, and recognized something in him, they had butted heads a lot, and Steve wasn’t completely sure this was the best idea.

Still it would be good to be around friends again.  A team.  He needed that.  And who knew, maybe he could figure out what it was that he was seeing in Tony.

He stepped into the lobby of the newly branded Avengers Tower with his bag slung over his shoulder and glanced around for where to go next.  His eyes landed on the self-proclaimed genius, playboy and he let out a sigh of relief, and lifted his hand in greeting.  “Tony,” he said.  “It’s good to see you again.  Thank you for this.  After what happened with SHIELD I wasn’t exactly sure who was hiring World War II veterans.”

Tony was exhausted and it felt like someone had thrown him through a tumble dryer. It had been a while since he'd gotten his ass beaten quite so hard. But the kicker was, HYDRA had blown up a government building and somehow framed it to look like it had been him and Steve.

Now not only was HYDRA after them, but so was everyone else. They'd gone from being superheroes to public enemy number one. They'd had to go on the run. Thankfully, both he and Steve were resourceful. Steve had stolen them a car and some clothes, and Tony had taken out a huge wad of cash and the two had been driving for hours now. There was no sign of anyone following them and Tony was good at sending out false leads and covering their footsteps.

As they limped into the motel he'd gotten for the night, Tony wasn't sure who was supporting who. They hadn't had a chance to look their injuries over and Tony was sure he'd broken a rib and his arm had taken yet another hit. He wasn't sure but Steve did had a tear in his uniform before he'd changed.

Tony flopped onto the bed with a sigh and turned his head to look at Steve. "You hurt?" he asked. "Did you steal us a medical kit?"

Tony smirked and his tongue poked out of the corner of his mouth as he looked Steve up and down. "Yes, Steve nice ass Rogers? Can I help you with something?"

Tony had never felt so completely at a loss when it came to sex before.  Only fifteen minutes ago or so he hadn’t even been sure that Steve wanted to kiss him.  He hadn’t expected the kiss.  He hadn’t expected to be picked up and carried.  And he absolutely hadn’t expected for Steve to start stripping him off.

He felt like a blushing virgin bride.  He’d dreamed about this, but Steve had always given him such uptight vibes.  Not straight vibes exactly.  But not hook up with Tony at work without having a long boring conversation first.

Tony was delighted.

He stared down at Steve as the supersoldier began sucking on the tip of his cock, and his breath caught.  “Fuck, Cap,” he breathed, his hand tangling into the man’s blond hair.  “I am awake right now, aren’t I?  I didn’t slip into a coma and now i’m just having an amazing dream?”

Steve came to the realisation that Tony moaning his name was his new favourite thing, he liked it so much that he needed to hear it again. Seeing Tony lose all control like this was something to really marvel at. Steve had seen Tony lose his temper on many occasions, likewise for him as well but to see Tony open and needy was making Steve’s heart skip a beat.

He decided in that moment that he wouldn’t make Tony wait a second longer, leaning down he removed what fabric was left between them as if Tony was a present that needed unwrapping. Steve found his voice getting caught in his throat, his own arousal burning so hot and heavy that he’d forgotten what words even were. Looking a little unsure at the start, he shook it off and just went with it; pushing his mouth down onto Tony’s dick he took in as much as he could before coming back up to mouth at the tip.
