I like the rdr2 epilogue, and I'm tired of pretending I don't. (I literally have never pretended. I have always made my love clear.) Is John's model questionable? Mhm. Does he look a bit too much like Arthur? Yep. Could R* have put a bit more work into it? For sure. Do I still love it, tho? Very much so. The family moments between John, Abigail, and Jack? His friendship with Sadie, Charles, and Uncle? The whispers of Arthur and Dutch in everything John is/does? R* actually showing John's struggle to leave the outlaw life behind and be there for his family instead of just pretending he became a perfect family man overnight, (like a lot of other games would have done)? John's adorably sweet and emo journal entries? It all makes up for it for me. I love the epilogue.

A major publisher in my country just published (finally!) the translation for Black Powder War this January 2024, and I wanna show you the Indonesian cover for Temeraire series so far!

I don't think the dragons are accurate and I have no idea who the fuck is that man in book 1, but I think there are very pretty, especially the gold colorings.

I also wanna explain some funny translation things, which may contain spoiler, so beware.

So that guy clearly is not Will Laurence. And the funny thing is, the meaning of the title "Naga Sang Kaisar" is more closer to "Emperor's Dragon" than "His Majesty's Dragon"

I mean they can perfectly chose Raja (King) to translate "His Majesty", but they chose Kaisar (Emperor) instead. Maybe it is a winkwink spoilery thing to sneakily hint who the actual intended resipient for Celestial egg is.

In that case—is that Napoleon then???

Anyway, I just know that, because of this cover, the new reader in my country will always pictured Laurence with dark hair until in the book six or something when they'll be like, wait, he is bLOND??

The ship and the water in book 3 cover should be for book 2. And the building in book 2 cover is resembling Istanbul's palace more than China's. Don't you think?

There is not even a ship in the book 3 other than Allegiance in the chapter one, right?

The sun shining in book 2 cover potrayed desert pretty clearly, right?

I want to be loved like how Ivan loved Till because wtf.

Ivan looked at Till with such delicacy, but at times, he'd be looking at him with such sadness. It's as if he knew that Till would never look at him, and he was fine with that. Like in Round 3 (Black Sorrow) around 2:34 - 2:46 you can see when till looks at ivan with guilt and goes back and all you see is Ivan face being filled with sadness because he knew that he wouldn't change Till's mind about not going back to save/stay with mizi. As well as when Ivan's facial expressions change from sadness to him completely collecting himself (2:46 - 2:50) and him reaching out his hand as if he was trying to reach out to Till in that moment when they were kids escaping.

If you really think about it, nothing was gonna ever change Ivan's fate. Yes, Ivan could've lived, but he would would've just been another person in Till's world. Till, on the other hand, would've still continued to look/try to catch Mizi's attention every chance he gets.

if it weren't to save Till in round 6, when Ivan dies, till wouldve died because tbh Ivan should've been the one to win but he didnt want that for till if it meant killing himself for it. But now, this time, Till has now finally seen Ivan!! Im sure Till will be haunted for the rest of his life after finally realizing that ivan loved him. Maybe even so much it changes the way he once viewed Ivan as. I sure hope he finds peace soon after all my baby has been through.

you know something that I never really understood when first watching the show was jestros job, like before he became evil. the wiki says he was "King's jester" which probably just means he entertain guests at parties (that we know the king freaking loves). However, jestro, if we're honest, wasn't that good of a jester due to his low self-esteem. Jesters are supposed to be witty, confident, musicians, and storytellers, and we never actually see jestro do any of these things in front of a crowd besides the first episode i think. i mean yeah he tells monstrox about his past which can kinda count as storytelling and he is seen to be pretty witty, that's only after he joined the battle on evil on the side of evil. this leads me to believe that he was more of a clown than a jester. he doesn't seem to have a close relationship with the king (jesters were sometimes a king's most trusted confidant), he is only brought in front of crowds for juggling (not jokes or storytelling), and people don't respect him (they laugh at him, not with him). also knowing jestro, he probably felt like a failure as a jester and that definitely didn't help his self-esteem
