It’s so easy to ship Nate Heywood with everyone in the Legends. It’s crazy! I mean come on! I ship SteelVixen, SteelHacker, Steel Atom, DarhkSteelAtom and whatever fun name Nate x Behrad has. Heck I even shipped him with Gary for a while!! He’s so shippable! I love Nate! (and so does everyone else) I mean look at this!

Remember before Nate and Amaya got together the first time? How at the end of 2x05, Todd made a comment to Amaya about his relationship and finding love, and then Nate immediately walked up? And then they got together in canon?

That's literally what just happened with TK, Buck and Eddie. (They just haven't gotten together officially yet.)

I’m about to watch the episodes after another rough day (work has turned into survival mode and it’s draining) but I saw the spoilers and YES. We are so close. I am now going to be a fool waiting for confirmation that he is bi or pan.

Okay, this is historical, Quarantine Anon. Because I’m actually going to accept a Steelvixen parallel (at least Buck and Eddie have had seasons worth of build-up. Legends, please invest in an actual slowburn?). YES, that is a good insight. That’s actually a crazy parallel. You know what’s my biggest problem with ship hate towards non-toxic relationships? Even if you don’t like it, someone out there does. Maybe someone sees themselves in a ship. Maybe it’s important to them.

AT THE SAME TIME, THOUGH—stop hating on non-shippers. Sometimes, people look at relationships between characters and think “they’re like me and my best friend” or “they remind me of my relationship with my sister”, and when people constantly force that ship at you romantically, it makes you absolutely HATE IT.

Like, shipping romantically is great. Do that. But let people disagree and say “I don’t see it that way”. Just like everything else in life, THEIR OPINION IN NO WAY EFFECTS YOUR LIFE, BUT YOUR ATTACKS AND BULLYING CAN LITERALLY END ONE.

We should be considerate, and we should stop taking every disagreement as a personal attack on one another.

 WELL SINCE YOU ASKED I GUESS I COULD IGNORE HOMEWORK A LITTLE BIT LONGER 

Mick and Amaya are. Well- let’s put it this way. When Amaya first meets Mick, she thinks very poorly of him, and Mick actively encourages it, until she sees Mick at his absolute lowest in the Wild West- ready to kill himself on a mission because his husband just died and nothing matters anymore. Due to circumstances beyond anyone’s control, Amaya sees all of Mick- the ugly, the broken, the mean, and she says you are worthy of happiness, you are capable of love, you deserve to live. Mick continues to let her see him, when with everyone else he hides his incredible softness behind a facade, and though he may not always believe in himself, he always, always, believes in her. 

And when Amaya has her moment of doubt, stripped of her totem, Mick is capable of returning the favor, trying for just a moment to get her to see herself the way he sees her- his champion, his North Star, someone who couldn’t do wrong if they tried. 

Mick and Nate probably shouldn’t get along as well as they do, but somehow it just works. Mick won’t ever have another partner, but Nate is something close to that. I don’t think Mick has ever had a relationship based on such uncomplicated fun before- Nate is like hey, let’s go to a grateful dead concert and get high, let’s go rob my childhood home, and even though the age difference isn’t really that extreme (Considering), Nate makes Mick feel young again. Nate feels honored to hold such a special place in Mick’s heart- it’s clear that he’s very good at pushing people away, so for him to trust Nate- it feels that much more valuable 

Nate and Amaya’s love is honest and true, like straight out of a fairytale, soulmates shit. Nate looks at Amaya and sees lazy Sunday mornings, slow dancing in the kitchen because your song comes on the radio when you’re supposed to be doing the dishes- he sees a life with her. Amaya is a little slower, being generally more pragmatic and less inclined to hand a complete stranger her heart on a platter, but she does fall, and it’s brutal. Nate loves her and it just feels like a universal truth, like gravity. If an apple falls from a tree, then Nate loves Amaya with all of his heart. It’s something she can rely on, even when her whole world has turned upside down, she knows this to be true. Nate believes their love can transcend time and destiny, and Amaya does her best to let him convince her.
