Do you have a fav (or favs) statues of Apollo? I think that ny "top three" are the Apollo Belvedere, the Apollo Sauroktonos and the Apollo Citharoedus, but the tiny hanged Marsyas in the cithara is weird lol

Apollo Citharoedus (labelled "Apollo with a lute" in the museum) obviously makes it to the list. There's so much grace and gentleness that this statue exudes <3 it's kinda unmatched if you ask me.

This Etruscan statue of Apollo in the act of shooting an arrow is so unique. The other statues I've seen that depict Apollo with a bow (Apollo Belvedere for example) aren't this dynamic. It almost looks like Apollo is dancing here.

Apollo Pythios sitting on omphalos is definitely one of my all time favorites. It's partly because of the hair lol because, look at it!! But also, it's quite rare to see sculptures of Apollo on the omphalos so this one is a treat for me.

i don’t know if i’m ever gonna write the fic but i’ve been thinking abt like. the eternal stockade. the implications. lup, a lich who was trapped in a dark featureless cell for a decade completely isolated with nothing to keep her sanity but her own mind. she has to put people in the eternal stockade. how many liches does she see herself in. how many liches started out just like her. how many liches are truly too far gone. and the only liches we ever see other than her and barry are edward and lydia. they’re certainly evil, but mad? they seem pretty sane. they’re not, like, tattered echoes of souls, they’re definitely still people. even as much of a grudge as lup surely has against them, wouldn’t they remind her incredibly strongly of herself? do they deserve to be trapped just like she was? for eternity? isn’t eternity what turned john to existential despair in the first place?

Went to the plant nursery today for Mother's Day and all I could think about was Draxum taking his shitty kids to one and driving them all insane.

Donnie is the only one who follows him but all Draxum does is meander around and compare plants to the color scheme he has in his head and ask for opinions he doesn't listen to. Even Donnie's love for plants can't sustain him and he wanders off.

Meanwhile the other kids are checking out the weird garden ornaments and taking selfies in front of the funny ones.

Lark, who told Phineas previously in anger that he doesn't get to escape what he is and what he's done, understandably because in her long life she was never able to shed her lot once she became a fugitive murderer (in part because of people like him!) but later realizing she has actually made friends and a home despite that, now frustrated that Phineas is continuing the theme that evolution is possible: he has not in fact betrayed her, even though his change of heart is so recent. He isn't escaping but he is growing around it! All the rules are breaking and Lark's Fold gift is literally about knowing what will happen in an "if/then" kind of way, but it couldn't tell her what is possible. Instead she's there waiting for the spider sense to kick in that Phineas has turned her in and it's just not coming. All the furniture is glued to the ceiling. I'd be a little mad too.
