There are actually TWO people working at the clinic- Doc and Dia :]

Skyfire is the resident cybug at the veterinary clinic. Doc found him half frozen in the winter and nursed him back to health, and now he just lives there

Cosmos lives at Doc's house instead of the clinic, but they'll bring him in sometimes because otherwise he gets a little lonely :(

Dia has some cybugs as well! They started off with just one, but then things kept happening and now they have like, a whole scuttle of them.

They helped foster a couple of cybugs that were rescued, and ended up keeping both of them ^^" They then ended up with another after they uh... encountered a cybug traveling in their direction. Very swiftly. (Dia is still recovering.)

Also there's that one cybug in their garden that kinda hangs around their porch. He's an honorary member of their household, even though hes a stray

Doc is also a moderator on r/cybugs. He had to break up fights between Buster and Bob and became acquainted with them that way

I remember there was an old sparking hc where sparklings instead of having their bodies be fully formed at the beginning they’re just mostly energy and then their frame forms when they get older, like a crustacean. So it can be identified by having wing nubs but too vague to determine the relation

I see your post about cat seekers and I bring you my Headcanon. Seekers have instinctual coding that make's them behave more like Felines or Avians. and They aren't even aware of it, its like their processors on autopilot.

the coding kicks in whenever they are around their mate, and if said mate was chatting with another mech, oh that mech clearly has a death wish, because Seekers are territorial and very posessive over their mate. (but of course some seekers control their instincts better than others)

Starscream (in any continuity) has the worst control over his instincts, I mean being that he's always under stress from Megatron, and has to face the expectations he has as the SIC of the Decepticons.

IDW was so smart and fun and sexy to have Bumblebee and Starscream get haunted by each other, it's such a fun dynamic. Not even necessarily in a shippy sort of way, just- we've got the Best Boy and the Worst Boy, with one of them being the only person who can see or hear the other, and it's such a dynamic, and I would dearly, dearly love to see this used in as many Transformers settings as possible. I want to read all the fics.

Just, like- if Bee's the 'ghost,' then Starscream has every reason to assume that this is a hallucination, but also, hey, captive audience!, and just... ends up saying so much more than he would if he thought someone was actually listening. Which I love. I love 'character A is vulnerable and/or honest with character B because they think it's a dream/hallucination, only then it's not and they have to deal with Being Known.' Very good trope. And I don't think he'd even really question it being Bee that he's 'hallucinating,' just because this is his life and he's used to it, why wouldn't it be that annoying Autobot minibot? This might as well happen. To him. Why is it always him, why can't it happen to Megatron instead for once-?!?

And if Starscream's the ghost, then we've got Bee being Extremely Concerned for his own mental health, because he suddenly has an imaginary friend!Starscream, and that can't be a good sign, right??? Does he have a virus, did he somehow get malware in his system?!? And, being less of a cagey bastard than Starscream, it probably gets figured out pretty quick that nope, not hallucinating, Bee is being actually haunted by the actual Starscream, wtf. Seriously, Starscream would probably try being a brat about it at first and try to mess with Bee, but we all know that it would take exactly one day of silent treatment to get him to crack. It's Starscream, and the real secret to him having an indestructible spark is that he doesn't run on energon, he runs on attention; he can't handle being ignored. He may be a warframe, but he will crack like an egg. And then everyone gets to live with the fact that Bee's being haunted by the enemy second-in-command while they try and figure out how to reverse this situation.

I want fics about these scenarios. I want them so bad. I want to read about the horror in Starscream's optics when he realizes that he's accidentally made friends with an Autobot. I want Bumblebee to tell him to his face that it doesn't matter how hard Megatron just fell, Starscream can't lead the Decepticons because he's a ghost and only Bee can see or hear him. And if anyone has any recommendations then I am extremely open to them.

I never seen these two interact once, Even in fanart they barely are in the same art piece. I searched everywhere and only 3 fanfics of these two exist from 2013 and the last one being 2014. Maybe I didn’t look in good enough but like, I checked pinterest, here and pixiv (I’m pretty sure) and not a single art piece of them. Except one, ONE. It was comic of skywarp throwing some m&ms at perceptor and that’s it, Something everyone bothering perceptor. WTF, WHY IS THERE BARELY FANART OF THEM TOGETHER?? I know it’s because it’s some rarepair thing but most rarepair ships would still have at least fanart. There’s barely ships with skywarp, most being astrotrain and megatron, etc.. I’m pretty sure astrotrain and skywarp also barely interact so liek… IM CONFUSED. Or it’s because people like perceptor with yellow guy, Brainstorm i thinks. Did i miss something, Is everyone avoiding shipping them because something happens?? am I an idiot or something??? I can make my own fanfics and art but like, I can’t write a fanfic for shit. TFP Shockwave being a dad to a human baby/child: Scenario/headcanons!

REQUESTED: NO.

Genre/Warnings: Sfw, Familia love, some angst in some parts. Overall comfort. (Oh, uh recent update this bit, but there's some violence mention in some parts. Tumblr hates me. I'm just starting out bruhhh 😭)

Notes/thoughts: SHOCKDAD/DADWAVE. Also I feel like he won't like the baby at first, but just like Reiko from the anime parasite, I feel like his spark will warm up slowly to the baby as time went on. He ain't no Gendo Ikari! 🤬 and fear not, just like Rei Ayanami, he too has feelings/emotions! Hope you guys enjoy, I have been wanting to write this for awhile. 😁

So two things 1. Shockwave never goes out of his lab. 2. Why is there a infant in the base? Well you guys can have many interpretations of how and why, but mostly it's the Vehicons (*cough* *cough* Steve. YES HE'S REAL AND ALIVE IN MY HEAD) maybe finding something and saw an abandoned crib and they decided took it back to the decepticon base.

So crying still continues and the decepticons don't know why. Knockout had the audicity to say ewww, Starscream trying to threaten the little one to shut up, and finally Megatron also telling it to shut up and just hating the noises it creates, but doesn't know wtf to do with it. Breakdown went awww and gently holds- while at the same time, rocking the baby to calm it down, while Steve is like "awww don't cry little mini human" and tries to make the baby laugh. Soundwave on the other hand was just observing the whole situation that's occuring and had the possible answer by searching through the web about human babies, as the decepticon searched deep, he found possible answers to it's cries. It's hungry.

So Steve was ordered to bring milk formula, since possibly the baby is around 6 months old. So while Steve buys milk from the store (he'll come back.) The cons just stare at it and try to shush the little one at the same time. Shockwave is getting annoyed by the noise, so he went to check, and there it was the baby.

The baby slowly stops crying and saw Shockwave, curiousity, Breakdown was like what do you want lil bot? It was reaching for Shockwave. Bro Breakdown is hesitant, but the way the little one reaches out to Shockwave. Shockwave is curious, but hides it and step back. But Megatron and the other cons saw and he's like "it seems the little fleshbag knows to shuts up when Shockwave arrives. Shockwave, the fleshbag is your responsibility now..." Megatron just decided to give the responsibility to Shockwave, since the baby just stops crying and is now.... Happy?

Breakdown hesitantly gave the baby to Shockwave and muttered a sorry to the little one. Shockwave doesn't know what to do now, and the little one is now knawing on his face. It's hungry.

Anyways. Many days went by and honestly, the baby disrupts his work. Luckily Breakdown and Steve are there, but the problem is the baby kept crying everytime they try to stray too far from Shockwave.

He tried many ways to stray from the baby to do his work in peace, like give it to Breakdown or Steve to babysit, but alas. The baby just prefers him than anyone else at the nemesis. Also, he is acting different. He feels empty when the baby ain't around. He is glad he found peace, but it feels.... Lonely and cold.

He's basically experiencing 5 stages of grief and another emotion he can't explain, but it lingers, like he thinks of many possibilities of what will happened to the little one, if it ain't close to his proximity.

It's odd to him that he developed a tight schedule for the the little one as well, like wake up from recharging, check the baby, feed the baby, do a healthy check up for the baby (Like twice a week he'll go to the med bay) and other stuff like bathing it, changing diapers and the little one having many onsies and ordering vehicons to buy milk and other human foods babies can eat.

It's also odd that no experiment was conducted on the baby, like at first it, he might have the idea but he refused, something in his spark told him not to, and even if he tried, once the baby laughs or is just touching his optic, he just stops the experiment and just felt so guilty. He tried to isolate, but he can't. The little one was always looking for him. He can't refuse it's cries of need and love, since the baby already thinks of him as a parent that loved them, that raised them, that took care of them. And so it begins...

Shockwave has developed a habit of putting the baby somewhere safe when he's working with his experiments. Not too high for the baby to fall on and not too low for the baby to accidentally get stepped on. Just right.

Also I feel like the Nemesis is cold, so he basically warm up his lab, a heater for the baby, and might have ordered toys, it's mostly blocks, tower of hanoi, rubik cube and puzzles.

Shockwave always believes that logic is the answer, but dear primus, he panicked when the baby was crying and the baby's temperature was not normal. What happened?! Why is the baby's temperature so hot. His logic is not working, it was mostly his emotions in control at this moment, it's like they just took over.

Knockout almost had a spark attack when he saw Shockwave busts in the med bay with the baby in his arms. So basically Shockwave doesn't know what's happening right now, everything is so blur, he's focus on the child. His logic is battling with these strange emotions, he calms down, he acts the same but Knockout noticed, but didn't say anything. But yes, ice cubes, water and a towel.

Knockout showed him cold compression: "First you need a towel, soak it- No, what are you doing?! Not the little fleshy-! Knockout immediately grabbed the baby from him, did Shockwave just tried to put the fleshy in the- That's illogical for him to do that. Knockout thought. Shockwave spoke "But based on-" "No. I'm the medic here. You listen, this is how humans take care of their human babies..." He begins to explain, gently putting the baby on the operating table, he instructed Shockwave to support it's head, since the lack of pillows. "First put the towel in the ice cold water, after that, wring the towel, and put the towel on their forehead, and just repeat the process when you feel that the towel is slightly getting warmer, and remember, not too cold for the little fleshy." Shockwave was just silent, but listened intensively. As the baby yawns and curls to his arms to sleep, he immediately ask Knockout if there are more ways to cure fevers and other diseases that can affect babies.

Gotta thank Knockout for showing him what to do and what human medicine to take. Honestly Knockout is baffled that Shockwave. The emotionless, logical scientists of the decepticons said thank you, like THANK YOU?! Wow. Seems like the little one is changing him.

Back to the main topic, Shockwave immediately ordered Steve and Breakdown to get him those medicines, and trust me it was a ton of medicine and Shockwave label them all one by one. He also baby proof his lab. Once Again.

As months go by, he basically got attached to the baby, he even gave it a name that he wants the cons to recognize, and for the first time in a millenia, he called them his child.

He became so attached and protective, he acts like a father and acts as if the baby is his sparkling. As the baby grows up, his behavior changed, though he still the same Shockwave they know, but around the small human, he's completely different.

He won't let anyone, not even Megatron get close to the little one anymore, with the exception of Steve, Knockout and Breakdown, but interactions are limited. Not even Predaking can interact with the baby freely, like the predacon just sniff the baby and before the child can initiate to play with the predacon, Shockwave carried the child away : (

Tbh he doesn't know what to do once Megatron found out his new weakness, but he will go berserk if something will happen bad to the little human. It happened to Starscream once. But that's a story for another day, right now, it's just him and his little one. His child.

Headcanons:

He's going to be that over protective parent.

Despite his "lack" of emotions, he tries his best to express his love and care for them.

The typical parent that will teach them anything, he wants them to not only be smarter than the average humans, but to also have the knowledge he has. To be like him. But fear not, he won't strip them down of their emotions. No. Afterall, love is the thing that made him act like this. A parent... A father.

Shockwave will never forget important events. Like a school event his kid wants him to go? He'll be there, in holo-form of course. Their birthday? Despite Shockwave being busy, he'll do anything to make his kid feel special and have a very special happy birthday.

He is awkward around other parents tho. In his mind he is google searching on: 'how to be human/how to blend in with the humans/how to blend in to human society'. Like if there are events and the kid has friends. Of course the kid gotta convince him to act normal and don't act weird or just anything to embarrass them, or scare his friends. He'll meet the parents, but he gotta make good first impressions. He tries. And somehow the parents are fine with him.

It's possible that Shockwave can be a germaphobe now, due to his experiences with them as a baby. He will always remind them to take a shower, brush their teeth and hygenic stuff. Also reminds them to take their meds/vitamins from time to time, which is annoying but it helps.

If the kid wants a pet, Predaking is the pet. No questions ask.

Try to argue with him, I dare you. Goodluck outsmarting your ol' dad Shockwave, he will never budge and will think that what he's doing is logical, but if the kid ever manage to win in the argument, he goes silent and goes back to work.

Expressing words is hard. Also accepting the fact that not all parent is right and logical is also hard for him, so he apologizes to his kid by his actions. Taking them to the movies, or McDonald's? Taking them to toy kingdom or whatever the kid wants? That's his form of apology. But he'll still say he's logical in the argument tho. He can't let it gooo 😭

So we know temper tantrums. We have been there, but when it comes to Shockwave? He is just going to express huge disappointment in their actions. No yelling. No scolding. No punishments. Just the look of utter dissapointment.

But don't worry, once that happens, the kid will know that they are wrong and will say sorry, and Shockwave will accept their apology and gave them a head pat.

Shockwave will act berserk if something happened to the child, but if it was on accident he'll blame himself for not being there. If he ever goes berserk he'll calm down by the sound of their voice.

Do you guys know Eva 01? Or how it will rampage? He's going to be like that. Despite being injured by a threat, decepticon or a autobot.... Once the child got harm or in a critical condition, he'll lose his mind. Minus the eating part... He'll just destroy the threat til it's dead, or if it's alive, he'll experiment on them.

Listen you guys can disagree, but I feel like Shockwave yearns violence, and raising this kid for so long just makes him a mother bear. Just like Reiko, I feel like he'll just kill without hesitation. Without mercy or an excuse. The thing I mention about Starscream? Basically the seeker accidentally hurt the child and when that specific ramapage happened, Starscream had some severe injuries, but Shockwave didn't know what it was, and it was stopped. Thankfully.

He'll feel guilty, so guilty if something bad ever happened to them. He'll just shut down. But if they are alright? He'll be there, helping them with the recovery. But still, that guilty feeling keeps seeping in to his spark. Also if it ever comes to a point that Megatron wants the kid gone? Over his cold, emotionless husk, he is never going to give the kid up. Shockwave is going to take him down and is going to take over as the decepticon leader if push to that point. Honestly, Shockwave did or tried to take over but became less interested and did stop being power hungry. Why not now, if it's about his child safety.

He doesn't trusts human modern medicine. He wanna do things his way, but news flash, he has those old human medicines that help his child recover from a fever as a baby. Also all the knowledge he knows about human health are from Knockout, so thank him, bless his spark for existing.

It's possible that he's making something to make them live for too long. Though he is not going to show them yet. When the time comes, he'll show them.

He made them a mech at the kid's bday, for self defense, and for experiment usage. Also it's because he secretly wants his kid to think he's cool... Secretly.

Also movies, tv shows and anime with sci-fi genre is the go, if there's a family movie night. Neon Genesis Evangelion might be his personal fav, if he ever watches it with them, or if the kid is allowed to (yeah no. But maybe if older enough to handle it, since it is dark stuff afterall) since it's science and it is interesting, he's going to learn things about humans. Hopefully he doesn't recreate a certain event.... Anyways! Moving on-

A strict dad, like bro will want to know why you got B+ or an 80 than a 90-100. Tho, it's fine. He'll always help you. There's many ways to improve. But remember, he's gonna ban/restrict you for playing video games and watching anime, if there are important stuff, like homework needed to be submitted or a test. He doesn't want them to be a procrastinator (just like me :'>)

He wants the best future for them, and if the kid wants to help him with his experiment, then it's fine. But of course, adult supervision. He's gonna handle the more dangerous stuff.

Overall, he's going to be emotionally and literally distant without noticing, since he is busy with his work, but he tries to get close and get in touch with them. Despite all flaws, he loves them and will go in lenghts for them. They are like a miracle he didn't needed at first, but really did needed in the end. And who knows, maybe he'll just abandoned his decepticon cause for his child's future? Who knows. Hopefully.

Also sorry for niche references to Neon Genesis Evangelion and Parasite. I just love those shows so much and tbh... thought I'd complain about tfp Ultra Magnus some more after the latest episode I watched. any Ultra Magnus lovers out there, be warned, I do not like him and I am mean about it

getting on with it, just watched season 3 episode 6 and I got thoughts to share

first of all, wanted to say Miko was brilliant this ep, she said she can handle herself and proved she absolutely can. even before she got ahold of the armour she was climbing out of a huge cave and jumping out the way of Starscream

the fact he even went on this mission is a testament to him. like he has made his dislike of Ultra Magnus very apparent from the beginning, we learn in the episode that he pretty much deserted the wreckers after Ultra Magnus took command. seeing how proud he is of being a wrecker, you can see how big of a deal it is that he left because of one dude. and not only did Wheeljack make his feelings known, but so did Magnus. from his first appearances he tells us he thinks wreckers are wild and wreckless and uncontrollable in the worst ways. he constantly gets on at Wheeljack about everything, shoots down any ideas he may have, just generally acts all high and mighty

anyway, all that to say, there's so clearly hostility between them and, despite this, Wheeljack goes on the mission. he, albeit sarcastically sometimes, calls Magnus "sir" as he so expressly desires, he asks for permission to go after Bulkhead when he runs off (which Ultra Magnus responds to with angry silence like wtf bro he's just saved your life and he's following your rules, literally get over yourself aagrargahjsgk)

and yes, Wheeljack is a little wreckless and wild, but for every action and decision he has a justifiable reason or plan

he goes on ahead and climbs down towards the mine: he's using an established wrecker tactic that only fails because Bulkhead slips a bit and alerts the guard

he brings Miko along: she's a wrecker, she's good company, she's confident, and she's proven herself to be capable, she's even saved him before. he accepts her company so casually because he respects her as an equal, a fellow fighter

he triggers a grenade in a tight space: he was aiming for the predacon's mouth as it was about to breathe fire. had the explosive hit its target, the predacon could have been killed

that last one annoys me the most because the entire group was being absolutely battered. they were trapped, their blasts were doing no damage, a hit from Magnus did nothing but slow the predacon a few seconds so it could then make another, angrier attack. at the time Wheeljack threw the grenade, both Magnus and Bulkhead were temporarily downed. there was literally no better course of action Wheeljack could have taken.

and yet, Ultra Magnus still blames their near-death experience on him despite none of them suffering any damage. what was he angry about?? losing the opportunity to be eaten or burned to death by a dragon??? because that was exactly where that interaction was going bestie

also, throughout this ep, Bulkhead is constantly trying to defend Wheeljack from Ultra Magnus. yes, maybe it's because he knows he has trouble engaging with superiors, but was he worried about Wheeljack interacting with Optimus? was he so defensive when it was decided Wheeljack would be sent on a mission with Ratchet?

what makes me sad though, and I don't even know if this was intentional in the ep, was the fact that when defending Wheeljack, Bulkhead is careful, he tries to pander to Magnus, follow his rules and make it seem like Wheeljack is following them too. but when Miko needs help, he challenges Ultra Magnus and openly expresses his frustration, running ahead like they had been told not to earlier

I'm sure this difference doesn't help with Wheeljack's feelings of abandoned by Bulkhead when he left for team Prime. and I'm certain he doesn't blame Bulkhead for his feelings, he himself turned down the chance to join the team later, we know he's not one for sticking around, he probably completely understood Bulkhead's desire to go and do something different. but that doesn't mean it didn't hurt him

he tells Bulkhead all he ever used to think about was getting their old band back together. as much as he claims to be a lone adventurer, I think Wheeljack craves the friendships and community that he had, that Bulkhead still has now

I think it's why he eventually joins their team and why he tries to go on the mission with Ultra Magnus in the first place

he wants to stay and he's seeing if he can

he's testing the waters with Magnus, figuring out if he can cope with working with him again, seeing if being with Bulkhead and Miko makes a difference, maybe seeing if his memories had twisted overtime and his experiences weren't as bad as he thought

and all that happens is he's ridiculed and questioned and corrected and shouted at for everything he does

there's no comradery from anyone around him but Miko, even Bulkhead is too busy trying to appease Ultra Magnus

and so he leaves before that new relationship is soured as well

because if he's going to end up sad and/or alone anyway, he'd prefer it if his last memories with Miko were happy

IT'S TIME TO DISCUSS TFE S2A!!!

SPOILERS...OBVIOUSLY...

First of all, despite what some TFE fans have said, I gotta say, S2A has heavily exceeded my expectations! I was nervous because it did not get marketed enough (wtf Paramount+??!!) and because of the early rumours regarding certain things happening. But I thoroughly enjoyed most of the episodes (even the trailer filler episode). It really felt like I was watching S1A all over again. I found S2A refreshing and wholesome.

Here is a scattered list of some of the many moments/things that stood out to me...

AHHH! MO'S BRAIDS! Gah! I love them so much! I absolutely love her new hairstyle in season 2. Okay spacebuns! 🥰 Our little sweetie has grown up a bit and her new hairstyle looks so nice! I really like the attention to detail on her braids, her edges and baby hairs. You can tell that the character designers actually did their research on black hairstyles, and I really appreciate that because so many shows get it so wrong and they are just downright disrespectful.

SHOCKWAVE'S HESITATION!!!! HE HAD A CLEAR SHOT AND HE WAS GOING TO ATTACK, but then he just...didn't.

I was wondering how the weird tension between Shockwave, the Terrans and Malto Kids would be resolved. In S1C we see Shockwave working with the Terrans and Malto Kids to help take down Croft and her army. But you can tell that this was mainly because they shared a common enemy and because the season was ending.

But now even with Shockwave working under Starscream's command, he still hesitated and just let Twitch and Robby pass. He had the element of surprise, he watched them steal the shards and he could have easily ambushed them. He just...didn't. I am hoping that this gets explored further in the season and we get more of Shockwave.

BREAKDOWN CALLING AFTERMATH 'SON'!!! 🥺🥺🥺 And calling him kid!!! 🥺🥺🥺 I don't know, this is just so adorable to me. Regardless of the faction, clearly all the Cybertronians view the Terrans as children. Even though I found Aftermath to be very irritating, I thought it was really sweet how fast Breakdown tried to protect him and how he had grown to care for him. That fake father/son montage and the 'son' bomb took me out. I was laughing so hard. 🤣

✨️ALEX MALTO'S MAGICAL BOY TRANSFORMATION SEQUENCE!!!✨️

I kid you not, I had to pause the episode because I was laughing so hard! I could not breathe! 🤣 It was so sudden! It was so smooth! Alex was READY! You know he's been waiting for the day that he can finally reveal his Magical Boy uniform! I love it! Everyone's reaction was perfect! Megatron was so done with Alex. 🤣

And Nightshade giving their father a boost after Alex struggled to climb up the wall during the race is just so wholesome! 🥺 I'm so glad we got to see more of Alex interacting with his children in this batch of episodes. He gave so much enthusiastic, concerned, loving dad energy in this batch of episodes, it was beautiful.

TWITCH VS SPITFIRE!!!

That was so intense! It was really cool seeing them fight and use their different abilities against each other. Seeing Twitch get competitive with her basically evil twin sister was fun to watch. Twitch's competive nature really came out because THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE!!! Loll despite how hard Twitch had to fight, she definitely proved to Spitfire and to herself that she is the 'better drone'. I found it interesting that instead of Robby being the one to point out that Twitch is really Spitfire, it was actually Wheeljack. It was nice that he used his Dad 2 nickname to confirm his suspicions. He's clearly taken a liking to it. ☺️But I'm glad that Robby had his moment to determine which Twitch is the real Twitch.

Swindle interacting with a human and not trying to squish the human??? Yeah, I was shocked when I watched 'The Butterfly Effect' and saw Swindle interacting with Fairmaestro. But then seeing Swindle basically try to swindle Fairmaestro was the perfect 'Aha!' moment.

I really like TFE's version of Cosmos, and I wish he had more than one appearance in this batch of episodes! He just disappeared after his debut episode, but I wanted more of him! His design is very nice too. He is a perfect round boi. But how the heck did he get captured by Fairmaestro? How long was he under his control? If he joined the Autobots after the Maltos rescued him, why wasn't he in any other episodes with the other Autobots? 🤔 But also, I love the way he handled Fairmaestro and dumped his ass in the dunk tank. Since Fairmaestro easily escaped Jon's custody, I wonder if we'll see more of him.

Starscream as the main antagonist. Hmmm. I gotta say, while it's refreshing that we finally got a new main villain, it's also disappointing that it ended up being Starscream. Starscream caused so much chaos in S2A and sure, it's Starscream. What do you expect? He's always been untrustworthy, violent and unpredictable. But really? Did he seriously have to go back to being the villain after he had a bonding moment with Hashtag? After he worked with the Malto family because he realized that there are much larger threats out there. I'm assuming that he had to fuck up shit in the beginning of season 2 to make way for a serious redemption arc later on. I assume an even bigger threat will enter the scene soon. I sure hope so, because Screamy hit an all time low when he brutally took out the Chaos Terrans. That was just...wow. 😨

Dot Malto being the 'villain' and spraying her kids with the hose during the competition was hilarious. We love a good badass mom moment. 🤭

Contrary to what some people have said, I actually don't mind the Malto Kids at all, or their new power upgrades. They've dealt with so much shit in S1, so it only makes sense that they will eventually get some upgrades and powers to help protect themselves. They act like how kids their age would act irl, so of course they're going to have their annoying, problematic moments where they get themselves into a lot of trouble. The only difference is, they have a lot more sense and they acknowledge when it's time to stop and get serious. Even though it's really obvious that TFE is marketed towards kids, I like that it puts emphasis on family, teamwork, and it has its fair share of cheesy moments. It's very reminiscent of TFA.

I really enjoyed Hashtag and Mo's bonding episode. Even though Robby and Mo have a strong connection to Twitch and Thrash because they are the first Terrans that were born, it's nice to see the Malto Kids interact with their other Terran siblings as well. We almost always see Mo with Thrash or Robby with Twitch, so to see different dynamics among the Terrans and their human siblings is refreshing. And yessss! Hashtag calling Mo her little big sister and Mo calling Hashtag her big little sister is just too great!

Hashtag's new alt mode is so shiny! I love it! It's a nice upgrade, and I like her new root mode design too. I thought it was interesting that she got a new virtual assistant with her systems upgrade.

Cyber-syncing!!! I feel like it was only a matter of time before it was introduced. Something tells me that we're going to have more moments when cyber-syncing will be needed to take down a foe. It was an interesting addition to the Terrans and Malto Kids' existing abilities. I wonder if we'll see more cyber-syncing combos, like maybe a Hashtag/Nightshade/Robby/Mo combo. Or a Jawbreaker/Twitch/Robby/Mo combo. Or just more cyber-syncing in general. I did find Jawbreaker's sync with Aftermath to be very forced and unnecessary. I get that he felt left out in that episode, but it just feels like it was so unnecessary to the plot and it just felt like bad comedy relief.

Overall, I actually really enjoyed S2A. There were only a few episodes and moments that I found meh, but for the most part it was a good watch and it's about to be on repeat while I patiently wait for Transformers One and S2B to come out.

anyways, been thinking a lot about how comettrail would view starscream. he has a very similar frame to starscream. they're both big seekers that turn into jets. not to mention, they're both decepticons, even if comettrail was too pacifistic for combat.

but starscream is everything comettrail is afraid to become. he's cunning, he's power hungry, and he wants to destroy the autobots.

starscream sees comettrail as a potential tool. he knows that he can manipulate comettrail with the promise of seeker companionship, something the autobots can't provide him. none of the autobots can understand comettrail like starscream does, isn't it obvious?

but comettrail is so in love with this planet, with the autobots, with optimus, that he's willing to give up on ever knowing anyone like him if it means keeping this life.

I want you to know I've been frothing at the mouth at this all morning because your brain is so big.

Spywarp is actually the perfect name for one of the random AUs I've been daydreaming about regarding those two.

If you're interested, here's the general premise:

Mirage is a former noble who was raised to be a bonded mech, meaning he's groomed for political unions and was emotionally and physically restrained for most of his upbringing. When the war started, he was able to use the chaos as a way to escape his situation. He ended up joining the Autobots. He clings to his self-worth through his appearance and civility.

Skywarp is part of the Decepticon seekers and pretty much built for chaos. He follow's Starscream's lead and is loyal to his trine, not the Decepticon cause. He acts like a fool, prankster, saboteur so that Starscream can scheme uninterrupted. He's loud and impulsive, and though that is who he is, he's hiding a pretty sharp emotional intelligence (I love skywarp being more than meets the eye, loll) Anywho,

Mirage is wounded after a battle and is abandoned as the Autobots he's with assume he's MIA or dead (feelings about Mirage are divided as many believe he may be a spy due to his background and outlier ability). He's left at a Decepticon ship or base and uses the last of his energy to keep invisible and intends to escape once he's recovered but he's extremely drained.

Skywarp has a sort of spatial sensitivity, especially to outlier abilities when he's warping or channeling a warp, so he senses a sort of "wrongness" in space. After days of feeling something is off and getting progressively more irritated, he's able to detect where that echo is and as he channels a warp, he's able to pinpoint the space and grabs it, not realizing what exactly he's touching.

The strain of it all causes Mirage to collapse and become visible. Skywarp is staring like wtf but before he can say something gloating, he realizes Mirage is actually severely injured and asks him wtf he's doing there. Mirage says something lowkey depressing like "guess i wasn't worth looking for" AUGH

And then it gets set up for drama, angst, slow burn, all of that because I can never let myself be happy for long.
