I never seen these two interact once, Even in fanart they barely are in the same art piece. I searched everywhere and only 3 fanfics of these two exist from 2013 and the last one being 2014. Maybe I didn’t look in good enough but like, I checked pinterest, here and pixiv (I’m pretty sure) and not a single art piece of them. Except one, ONE. It was comic of skywarp throwing some m&ms at perceptor and that’s it, Something everyone bothering perceptor. WTF, WHY IS THERE BARELY FANART OF THEM TOGETHER?? I know it’s because it’s some rarepair thing but most rarepair ships would still have at least fanart. There’s barely ships with skywarp, most being astrotrain and megatron, etc.. I’m pretty sure astrotrain and skywarp also barely interact so liek… IM CONFUSED. Or it’s because people like perceptor with yellow guy, Brainstorm i thinks. Did i miss something, Is everyone avoiding shipping them because something happens?? am I an idiot or something??? I can make my own fanfics and art but like, I can’t write a fanfic for shit. I can only do “Skywarp and perceptor kiss maybe idk” That’s it, That’s the whole fanfic for u. It ends there. I don’t mind ships of skywarp and perceptor being with others, I like the other ships but like why not skywarp and perceptor?? IT'S TIME TO DISCUSS TFE S2A!!!

SPOILERS...OBVIOUSLY...

First of all, despite what some TFE fans have said, I gotta say, S2A has heavily exceeded my expectations! I was nervous because it did not get marketed enough (wtf Paramount+??!!) and because of the early rumours regarding certain things happening. But I thoroughly enjoyed most of the episodes (even the trailer filler episode). It really felt like I was watching S1A all over again. I found S2A refreshing and wholesome.

Here is a scattered list of some of the many moments/things that stood out to me...

AHHH! MO'S BRAIDS! Gah! I love them so much! I absolutely love her new hairstyle in season 2. Okay spacebuns! 🥰 Our little sweetie has grown up a bit and her new hairstyle looks so nice! I really like the attention to detail on her braids, her edges and baby hairs. You can tell that the character designers actually did their research on black hairstyles, and I really appreciate that because so many shows get it so wrong and they are just downright disrespectful.

SHOCKWAVE'S HESITATION!!!! HE HAD A CLEAR SHOT AND HE WAS GOING TO ATTACK, but then he just...didn't.

I was wondering how the weird tension between Shockwave, the Terrans and Malto Kids would be resolved. In S1C we see Shockwave working with the Terrans and Malto Kids to help take down Croft and her army. But you can tell that this was mainly because they shared a common enemy and because the season was ending.

But now even with Shockwave working under Starscream's command, he still hesitated and just let Twitch and Robby pass. He had the element of surprise, he watched them steal the shards and he could have easily ambushed them. He just...didn't. I am hoping that this gets explored further in the season and we get more of Shockwave.

BREAKDOWN CALLING AFTERMATH 'SON'!!! 🥺🥺🥺 And calling him kid!!! 🥺🥺🥺 I don't know, this is just so adorable to me. Regardless of the faction, clearly all the Cybertronians view the Terrans as children. Even though I found Aftermath to be very irritating, I thought it was really sweet how fast Breakdown tried to protect him and how he had grown to care for him. That fake father/son montage and the 'son' bomb took me out. I was laughing so hard. 🤣

✨️ALEX MALTO'S MAGICAL BOY TRANSFORMATION SEQUENCE!!!✨️

I kid you not, I had to pause the episode because I was laughing so hard! I could not breathe! 🤣 It was so sudden! It was so smooth! Alex was READY! You know he's been waiting for the day that he can finally reveal his Magical Boy uniform! I love it! Everyone's reaction was perfect! Megatron was so done with Alex. 🤣

And Nightshade giving their father a boost after Alex struggled to climb up the wall during the race is just so wholesome! 🥺 I'm so glad we got to see more of Alex interacting with his children in this batch of episodes. He gave so much enthusiastic, concerned, loving dad energy in this batch of episodes, it was beautiful.

TWITCH VS SPITFIRE!!!

That was so intense! It was really cool seeing them fight and use their different abilities against each other. Seeing Twitch get competitive with her basically evil twin sister was fun to watch. Twitch's competive nature really came out because THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE!!! Loll despite how hard Twitch had to fight, she definitely proved to Spitfire and to herself that she is the 'better drone'. I found it interesting that instead of Robby being the one to point out that Twitch is really Spitfire, it was actually Wheeljack. It was nice that he used his Dad 2 nickname to confirm his suspicions. He's clearly taken a liking to it. ☺️But I'm glad that Robby had his moment to determine which Twitch is the real Twitch.

Swindle interacting with a human and not trying to squish the human??? Yeah, I was shocked when I watched 'The Butterfly Effect' and saw Swindle interacting with Fairmaestro. But then seeing Swindle basically try to swindle Fairmaestro was the perfect 'Aha!' moment.

I really like TFE's version of Cosmos, and I wish he had more than one appearance in this batch of episodes! He just disappeared after his debut episode, but I wanted more of him! His design is very nice too. He is a perfect round boi. But how the heck did he get captured by Fairmaestro? How long was he under his control? If he joined the Autobots after the Maltos rescued him, why wasn't he in any other episodes with the other Autobots? 🤔 But also, I love the way he handled Fairmaestro and dumped his ass in the dunk tank. Since Fairmaestro easily escaped Jon's custody, I wonder if we'll see more of him.

Starscream as the main antagonist. Hmmm. I gotta say, while it's refreshing that we finally got a new main villain, it's also disappointing that it ended up being Starscream. Starscream caused so much chaos in S2A and sure, it's Starscream. What do you expect? He's always been untrustworthy, violent and unpredictable. But really? Did he seriously have to go back to being the villain after he had a bonding moment with Hashtag? After he worked with the Malto family because he realized that there are much larger threats out there. I'm assuming that he had to fuck up shit in the beginning of season 2 to make way for a serious redemption arc later on. I assume an even bigger threat will enter the scene soon. I sure hope so, because Screamy hit an all time low when he brutally took out the Chaos Terrans. That was just...wow. 😨

Dot Malto being the 'villain' and spraying her kids with the hose during the competition was hilarious. We love a good badass mom moment. 🤭

Contrary to what some people have said, I actually don't mind the Malto Kids at all, or their new power upgrades. They've dealt with so much shit in S1, so it only makes sense that they will eventually get some upgrades and powers to help protect themselves. They act like how kids their age would act irl, so of course they're going to have their annoying, problematic moments where they get themselves into a lot of trouble. The only difference is, they have a lot more sense and they acknowledge when it's time to stop and get serious. Even though it's really obvious that TFE is marketed towards kids, I like that it puts emphasis on family, teamwork, and it has its fair share of cheesy moments. It's very reminiscent of TFA.

I really enjoyed Hashtag and Mo's bonding episode. Even though Robby and Mo have a strong connection to Twitch and Thrash because they are the first Terrans that were born, it's nice to see the Malto Kids interact with their other Terran siblings as well. We almost always see Mo with Thrash or Robby with Twitch, so to see different dynamics among the Terrans and their human siblings is refreshing. And yessss! Hashtag calling Mo her little big sister and Mo calling Hashtag her big little sister is just too great!

Hashtag's new alt mode is so shiny! I love it! It's a nice upgrade, and I like her new root mode design too. I thought it was interesting that she got a new virtual assistant with her systems upgrade.

Cyber-syncing!!! I feel like it was only a matter of time before it was introduced. Something tells me that we're going to have more moments when cyber-syncing will be needed to take down a foe. It was an interesting addition to the Terrans and Malto Kids' existing abilities. I wonder if we'll see more cyber-syncing combos, like maybe a Hashtag/Nightshade/Robby/Mo combo. Or a Jawbreaker/Twitch/Robby/Mo combo. Or just more cyber-syncing in general. I did find Jawbreaker's sync with Aftermath to be very forced and unnecessary. I get that he felt left out in that episode, but it just feels like it was so unnecessary to the plot and it just felt like bad comedy relief.

Overall, I actually really enjoyed S2A. There were only a few episodes and moments that I found meh, but for the most part it was a good watch and it's about to be on repeat while I patiently wait for Transformers One and S2B to come out.

As a shallow, low-brow person who enjoys the satisfaction of eating from the good old cliche cake of karmic retribution, Death of Optimus Prime makes me distinctly uncomfortable in a way that excessive depictions of gore/body horror/violence/abuse does not. I think it’s the underlying moral of the entire thing that gets to me: the implication that no good deed goes unpunished, that those who chose to flee in times of need are entitled to mock the sacrifices of those who chose to stand and fight while enjoying the world they made possible. The irrationality of the motley crowd. The heartless apathy of the people. The desperation for peace trumping the need for justice. 

The main thing I got out of this issue is that… it isn’t worth it. The altruism. The ideals. You can give and give until every last vestige of your life is bled dry and there will still always be people who stand gorging on the sustenance of your flesh while pointing their fingers and saying “well we didn’t ask you to. Maybe it would have been better if you didn’t. Why didn’t you do better? Why didn’t you do more?” 

Like it’s not enough to sacrifice the Matrix, it’s not enough to sacrifice your life, it’s not enough to sacrifice everything and have those sacrifices be unrecognized and scorned by the very people you made the sacrifice for, they’d make you give up your identity as well, your name, your position, and then finally your right to exist within the world you won back; they’d take and take until you have nothing left to give and it still won’t be enough, it’ll always be you are just as bad, because how dare you inconvenience our lives by having the audacity to stand up against evil. While conveniently disregarding the fact that everyone’d all be living (or dying) under the Decepticons’ lovely governance if the Autobots didn’t fight back. Or as part of Zeta’s vamparc ribbon. Or under the functionalists hoping their alt-modes never get booted into the obsolete category. It’s like the fucking Giving Tree except at least the boy has a better attitude towards the tree.

I don’t disagree with the NAILs’ standpoint as a concept, it’s interesting and does add depth to the story, but the way it’s treated is. um. rubs me in every wrong way possible. 

Like. this is no. Just no. It's one thing for the NAILs and Decepticons to want Optimus gone; they have their own interests. Their motivations, while ignoble, are still understandable. But for Bumblebee to agree? To the point where he’d even exile Optimus himself if he didn’t want to leave? Bumblebee. Bumblebee, conscience of the Autobots. Bumblebee, whose kindness is so all-encompassing that he can find compassion for even Megatron and Starscream. Bumble-I-owe-Prime-everything-bee.

“Tonight for the first time all Cybertronians are united” wtf. This is wrong on so many levels. Optimus led you through the war. He led you to the victory of the war. Without his military leadership you wouldn’t be standing there worrying about keeping peace in the first place, because there would not be any peace to keep. Unless you’re interested in living under peace through tyranny. And you’re just going to throw him out now that he’s filled his purpose, because your enemies and dissenters are united in wanting him get thrown out. He’s guilty of what. exactly. existing?

Talk about appeasement. Talk about using someone as a means to an end. Even the Scavengers are better than that they didn't give up Grimlock. This isn’t how you treat someone that you owe a debt of gratitude to. This isn’t how you treat a friend, nor a comrade. This isn’t how a loyal soldier treats his leader. This isn’t how a decent person treats another person, period. 

Then there’s the whole subsequent plot line where Starscream gets to be the leader of Cybertron. Is that some sort of political vent or. What’s it supposed to imply? That the masses are mindless and easily manipulated. Elections are bad. People can’t be trusted with democracy cuz they’re stupid and selfish. Deceit and manipulation are not only more effective than brute might but also triumphs over genuine intent. And the good guys just. rolls along with it. Then gets backstabbed a bajillion times. Then still keep rolling along after getting backstabbed a bajillion times. Like why. What did you expect. What’s the point of fighting for so many years if you’re so desperate for peace that you don’t even care what kind of person is ruling you? Ruling your home, your planet, your compatriots? Your comrades? Did all those Autobots who died during the war just. die for nothing. Why didn’t you just surrender to Megatron when he first offered then. Why not simply kept your heads down and accept Sentinel. Zeta. The functionalists. At least less people would have died that way. 

It’s not even a matter of oh everyone is a war criminal there’s no victors in war everything’s morally grey and complicated or any of that twisted contrived grimdark shit. It’s a lack of common sense. Trusting the SIC of your enemy faction who’s a known mass murderer/notoriously famous backstabber once is giving someone the benefit of the doubt. Continuing to allow him to rule your planet after getting backstabbed betrayed sabotaged almost-killed multiple times is stupidity. It’s enablement. Complacency. Since when did everyone decide that the best method of dealing with a self-serving entitled prick who lied and killed and manipulated his way up to dictatorship under a farce of democracy and faked 'god-chosen’ bullshit is to leave him in charge and wait for him to develop a conscience.

And then the perspective of the colonists. “Look what your wars, hatreds, and ambitions have brought us,” they said. “You’re all gross. Why can’t you just stop fighting?” Easy words, from people who lived the majority of their lives in relative peace and ease. From those who had the privilege of growing up knowing no deaths, no functionalism, no crushing stratification. As if Cybertron hadn’t been led astray from the beginning by Shockwave and locked into an endless cycle of violence and oppression ever since the dawn of its civilization. As if Cybertronians ever got a chance at a peaceful fulfilling life. Four million years of war is horrific. But where would the Cybertronians be, if the war never happened? Oh right cowering under the functionalists. What if there were no functionalists? Then it’s Nova Sentinel Zeta. What if the Autobots didn’t fight?  Peace through tyranny and a universe wiped free of organic lifeforms. From the moment they opened their eyes, each and every Cybertronian from the time of Onyx Prime to the last constructed MTO has been cast into a dystopia so deeply entrenched as to be inescapable. It’s suffering all around. What other choices did they have? 

So speaketh the colonist, built on the back of Cybertronian expansion. Which is funny because Unicron is literally a product of colonialism.

The story seems to imply in so many ways that war is an inherent crime in and of itself. It doesn’t matter who initiated it. It doesn’t matter if you were the aggressor or the defensive or forced into it as a last resort. It doesn’t matter who or what you were fighting for. It doesn’t matter that you tried your best to remain true to your ideals through so many long years of violence under impossible conditions. To the eyes of the lofty outsider, the apathetic bystander, simply participating makes you just as bad as the other side. It doesn’t matter how horrible the alternative would have been if you’d rolled over and didn’t resist. In the end everything fades into inconsequence; the only legacy left behind is destruction. Everyone is a killer.

But no actually. war doesn’t work like that. History doesn’t work like that. For those who's never experienced the circumstances firsthand, never suffered through the choices or the lack thereof, what right do they have to judge?

-Wheeljack slowly gets more and more sarcastic the more time he spends with Starscream, and Starscream gets more and more earnest. The change happens so slow that no one notices for a long while. It takes someone getting a genuine compliment from Screamer that he has to insist was genuine for days until he's finally believed. Everyone takes a step back and goes 'WTF happened to you two??'

-If Starscream was introduced to the Dinobots he'd get along with Swoop first because flier things. I feel like with Grimlock they would either butt heads or get along eerily well. Oppy breeding anon back, continuing with TFP soundop.

Team Prime is rather off put by Optimus’s choice of stud, though end up finding it kinda funny since sometimes Optimus will walk into the room holding Soundwave like a cat held only by under their arms and nibbles Soundwave’s helm fin things to keep him quiet while they talk about updates about the Decepticons. It doesn’t help that without Soundwave, the Decepticons end up as a big mess and become much easier to deal with.

Soundwave is still suffering since his sire coding has basically taken over and Optimus likes to milk his spike every few days for transfluid. The only plus he considers from this is stuffing his face in Oppy’s Energon pounces (cuz babies need baby fuel). Those mounds are very soft and it very much excites his sire coding. Though some part of him wants Laserbeak back.

Megatron ends up going into heat earlier than expected and hurriedly tries looking for a good sire candidate not named Starscream. He never considers Dreadwing because he wasn’t around when it started, off on a mission or something. He ends up failing and gets captured by the Autobots since he tried to gauge the Autobot studs during a mine raid and his heat brain tried to latch onto Ultra Magnus, but got kicked in the balls in response.

The Autobots now have the two most important Decepticon officers in their hold and after Dreadwing returns and kicks Starscream to the afterlife, they kinda start making peace, though mainly because both leaders want babies and neither side wants sparklings to grow up in war.

Megatron gets visited by Optimus exactly once while in custody, when he was holding Soundwave and Megsy is like “wtf” and Soundwave is looking like a sad, wet cat while some part of him is possessive of Oppy.

Oh my god... I don't know why I never considered it, but the thought of a smaller, skinny stud and a big, strong clingy carrier... is so fucking good. I love that Soundwave's brain has basically been milked out of his dick so he just kind of wades wherever Optimus brings him. He's a spindly, wet cat that Optimus carries around like a creepy plush doll, nuzzling him against his belly and titties whenever he can <3

Oof, the decepticons basically just fall apart without Soundwave. Megatron's breeding drive basically sends him out with his hands raised for the cuffs, there was no hope for him. Who would've thought, two of the opposing leaders getting a little bit horny for their own good leads to the entire war stilling entirely...

I wonder if Megs manages to seduce Magnus in the end... Or perhaps he and Optimus could share Soundwave. Poor guy, that Soundwave, his spike would never get a break.

After the death of starscream he goes to haunt down galvatron but fails

One day:

Starscream was minding his own business when he said the word “portal” an actual portal opened and being the curious ex-scientist that he is he went in and he realized that he was actually pretty small or at least his surroundings were bigger then him when he took a glance at himself he was shocked to learn he was a human all the sudden he was attacked by a creature and he was shocked and became frightened the creature begin taking him somewhere which was the hidden world the creature then began to talk and said that they mean no harm and said that it’s here to protect him starscream asked what creature it was and said it was a dragon and then the so called dragon said that from now on starscream is the owner of her and starscream learned that dragon and humans don’t get along well and also learns a lot of stuff

Many years later:

Starscream decided to rename himself sparkles to prevent anyone from realizing that he is a transformer if he met another one but mostly cuz skyfire called him that on their first date starscream went to the berk one day with his dragon friends and attack it trying to find food by he was shot down by stoic and he was sent to jail for training a dragon for killing even tho he explain they aren’t trying to kill anyone and he was sent to executing by burning and but then during the execution the dragons came back for him and began destroying everything and they bought him back to the hidden world he decided to reward his dragon by naming her pure light

After a year went by:

He was known as the dragon master after the incident but he didn’t care and also learned that whenever he says the word portal a portal will open up and will send him to his world or the dragon world so whenever it’s night time in the dragon he goes to his world where it’s daytime

After a while:

Starscream and meets hiccup while he was fighting the giant dragon (idk what’s it’s called okay) and he and starscream end up defeating it together (I forgot to mention that starscream has a grey night fury which he called a day fury) and they became buddies and became part of the main group

Starscream began to develop amnesia and doesn’t remember who he is and always forgets his own name

Starscream hates skyfire but in the inside he loves him

I write down the timestamps, but I watch Transformers Prime on Stan (an Australian streaming service) so they may be slightly off.

ALSO! I try my best to note points for every character, but tend to get a little caught up by Bee (although I think I do a pretty good job with the notes regardless) so do be warned.

I will say that compared to my last episode notes, I’m a bit more upbeat. I finished ep 18 then went straight onto this, so I have no explanation as to why I’m more calm.

He had every intention of killing Starscream, but once his attention was drawn away, did he really think Starscream was going to stay back? 08:27 - that shot lasted too long. + Apart of me was kinda hoping that it would cut to Optimus being like ‘My Primey senses tell me Arcee and Bulkhead are in trouble.’ Then Ratchet there like ‘your what?.’

09:26 - this is a Metaphor for his emotional maturity and how he’s able to carry himself without being emotionally charged nor emotionally constipated. It isn’t- but it totally could be.
