bias tag
Rules: describe your bias [ in vibes ] as if they were someone in your life.
tagged by: @vintagejaemin (I apologize for taking upwards worth of a year to do this.)

*A/N: I did another one for Seonghwa that i will post later. Also, since ATEEZ is just about the only group I rep on this blog, and I became double biased in September of last year, to fill up more space I will be doing my two biases and my ATEEZ bias wrecker. âșïž
Seonghwa - He is my ex-boyfriend. A bit shy at first, but extremely inquisitive and open, and coincidentally, has a fear of heights. He is the kind of guy that generally likes everyone, but loves those who love him back. An amazing cook that always made sure I was well fed, and made a special menu for us for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentineâs Day, and our 3-month anniversary. The type to listen very well to my likes, dislikes, and interests. Also, the one to keep calm in a situation where I panicked! Verbally, and physically! Heâs the guy to legitimately never sweat under pressure, especially when I was around. Planned weekends for us to go to museums and learn something new, or to go on a âhealingâ hike in the mountains to break a sweat and work up an appetite. He liked being active but he also liked to rest and cuddle. Often those cuddle sessions leading us to get more physically intimate. He was the guy that was mature enough to want to have a conversation about the future, our future together. He was firm and so sure that he wanted me part of his life forever.
Seonghwa is rest and relaxation by the fireplace / the voice of reason in a storm / a starry night out in the desert / the secretly crafty chef / the art teacher / that obscure object in life that teaches you life lessons that you donât really register / understanding
Yunho - He is the Turkish lifeguard that I met on my long break in Didim. Very eager and very friendly until we both hit the wall that is the LANGUAGE BARRIER đ. I decided to separate from the pack of friends that I was traveling with and go out a little further into the water. Thatâs when I spotted him and his two friends/co-workers cruising around in a boat making sure people were safe. I waved to him and he took it upon himself to wave back and take an impromptu break, and dive right in, to swim up to me to say âHiâ. Being taken aback a bit by this action all I could do was shyly giggle at his eagerness. As we both realized the kind of situation we had gotten ourselves into, with a simple smile and a wave, he decided to coax me far out to where the barrier was. I wanted to, but continued to warn him that I was not a strong swimmer, to which he would just respond, âCâmon, Iâm a lifeguard.â Of course I gave in and swam with him out into the deep end. There we just laughed and smiled at each other (his smile was the literal shining sun). Having that as our only language to work with, I eventually thanked him for keeping me safe and swam back to the shore.
Yunho is good times at the beach / my first clubbing experience (which was incredible, by the way) / long trips / new adventures on vacation and at home / sun-shiney smiles / patience / spur-of-the-moment skinny dipping after one too many beers
San - He is that young student that I met in Istanbul, before flying back to the U.S. Whoooooo~ okay. He is the one that helped me to live in the âmomentâ and not to care too much about what others think. He took a chance but so did I and we started chatting anonymously to each other through an app. After agreeing to meet at a cafe serving tea and Turkish delight our day took off from there and escalated. It escalated in the best way possible! Walking around listening to the call to prayer in Sultanahmet Square, taking the train to a different side of the city for a shawarma (and then later, burgers and fries đ€Ș yeah, I know âđŸ), walking around a bookstore and talking about our favorite books and genres. Searching for a good bar to drink at and in the process, getting into a shaky elevator (bruh~ that was a truly questionable choice). While bumping shoulders in the cramped, dark, and shaky elevator, I looked into a mirror and he covered my eyes. He told me it was bad luck, so I turned to look at him instead (as a joke) and for a slight few seconds, you could feel the tension building between us. Then, thatâs when the elevator doors opened. Eventually settling down to drink and smoke (I took a few puffs off of his cigarette and CHOKED) we talked and laughed. Having to make my way back to my hostel, he nearly got me kicked out of my hostel all together, because one of my roommates did not want a boy in the room. Eventually, we made a break for it to the rooftop where we had a perfect view of the Hagia Sophia âš đ€©. He peppered my forehead with kisses and caressed my cheeks as the moon was reaching its peak in the sky. He didnât want to push me and I was unsure about kissing him. All in all, we had an intense make out session on the rocks, over the water. Before completely parting ways, he still noticed how reticent I was and gave me an endearing and warm forehead kiss. I was walking on clouds for the rest of the night.
Oh how I miss those feelings. For one day and night, I felt and experienced so much, and I wish to experience it again... everyday of my life.
San is comfort and excitement all at the same time / that coming of age story for young adults / Turkish delight and Tea at a cafe ( đ ) / close proximity in an elevator / honeymoon period for the rest of the relationship / naughty and nice experiences / peace in the chaos of a bustling city
*Yo~ with Sanâs... I lowkey just re-lived the experience and had to take a lot of things out. This was honestly just an opportunity for me to indulge in my past, where things got a little âwarmâ. None of what Iâm saying is making any sense right now so âđŸ

_________________________________________
âAnd thereâ Vanessa said as she set down the last mini chair in the scenic outdoor cafe, set in a large old fish tank, she sat crossed legged on her greenhouse ( which was made from an old stranded ufo) floor surround by mini plant people, whose bodies were made of all types of colorful flora, and some fungi, tiny oohs and ahhs shared among them as they gazed at her creation. âAlright, everyone I declare the Sweet Alyssum Cafe to now be OPEN!â She announced. cutting mini red ribbon with regular size scissors. The succulent subjects quickly swarmed their new digs, enjoying every small detail Vanessa had put into the place, most of the stuff was made out of household objects, everything from the candle lit stove to the little chairs made out of paperclips bottle caps. She even decorated the area with some of her mini animal wood sculptures. It wasnât long before the plant people started sitting down, taking orders, enjoying sweets and chatting amongst each other. One of the flora being who took the role of chef, invited Vanessa to join in the âgrand openingâ festivities by offering her a large honey (which was large to them but about the same size as half of a twinkie)
âOh, man I would love to join you guys, but I still got some things to take care ofâ she took the sweet offering from the chefâs tiny hands âbut Iâll be sure to hang out later, promiseâ she added a wink before taking a bite of the sweet cake.
This gesture brought a smile to the tiny chefâs face, and he firmly nodded before eagerly running back into the cafe to continue his job.
Vanessea took another bite of the miniature cake before standing up and dusting off her patchy paint splatter sparkly, bunny, and flower embroidered overalls, layered on top of her pastel nasa star studded tee. She exited the greenhouse and crossed the bridge that connected to her room.
She kicked off her garden boots and headed to her room. Vanessaâs room was adorned with plants hanging from the ceiling, the floor splatter with paint the amount of splatters grew closer to the creative nook the area under her loft bed a that Vanesssa use for her painting or potion making, complete with a cluderen pot, a bookcase filled with various spell books, magic ingredients, other magical nit naks, art books, paint brushes, and an easel with some canvas leaning against the wall. One side of the room had a top roll drawer desk, where her PC sat and drawers filled journaling/scrapbooking supplies. The desk was decorated with plants in jars, pots, old soda cans reused as pencil cups and pots, cute mini figures of animals and other cute creatures ( like moogels and pokemon).
Next to her desk was a small compact kitchen where she liked to make tea and other cute snacks when she was too lazy to go downstairs to the actual kitchen. There was a rack with various different types of tea packs mixed in with hot chocolate mix. There also sat her tea pot that was white and had cute little bunny ears on top. The other side of the room was a door that led to the bathroom and her large closet was in front of the room.
Vanessa climbed the ladder to her loft bed, where her furry companions were still asleep, usually Vanessa wonât mind sleeping in with her beloved buddies. But today she had to wake up early to finally finish the cafe for the plant people, so they would all have a nice place to have breakfast together.
Vanessa watched for a moment as her small long eared bunny friend, she named Flaps, slept bundled up in his scarf on top of the much larger yellow, fluffy yet shaggy haired, long ear dog/bear like creature, she named Buddy. While it was cute to watch the two sleep, she knew if she didnât wake them up for breakfast they both would be pretty upset about it , especially Flaps despite his small size the little guy can put away a ton!
âCome on, guys it's time to wake up, you dont wanna miss breakfast, do you?â Vanessa said nudging her furry friends. Buddy slowly opened his eyes and took a big long yawn and stretched, this motion awoke Flap, who rubbed his eyes with ears and let it a smaller yawn. Buddy looked up and wagged his tail in delight to wake up to a friendly face, Flaps flutter up by his wings and sleepily nodded his head. Vanessa giggled and softly patted Flaps on the head before placing him in her overalls pocket to let him rest a bit longer, Buddy hopped on the homemade dumb waiter as she climbed down the ladder and pulled on pulley of the dumbwaiter to let buddy down and placed him on the floor. She walked downstairs to the sun lit, flower wallpapered, cozy kitchen, Buddy hopped up on a chair with some books stacked on top , patiently yet excitedly waiting for breakfast to be done.
Vanessa quickly whipped up some fluffy, yet super gooey chocolate chip pancakes, decorated extra chocolate chips, strawberries that were freshly picked from her garden, and all topped with mountains of whipped cream, with chocolate syrup.
âBreakfastâs readyâ Vanessa said with a smile, holding the plates of pancakes in
Buddy chowed down on the pancakes as soon as Vanessa set the plate down, and the amora from the pancakes served as a pretty good wake up call for Flaps, who sprung right up, and started to devour the flapjack stack. Vanessa smiled and turned around to get to her own plate and she also made herself some tea, she took out a newspaper to read to see if she could find someone in need, or some big event to take part in to kickstart her new adventure, but today's news seem pretty slow today just stuff about an ongoing election in a far off land and someone found their lost cat..aww..how sweet.
"Hmm...nothing in the news today, I guess I could just chill today, maybe I could just work on some terraforming" Vanessa said looking outside at the flower flooded terrain, she had made a forest in the backyard with a lake,a cave that led to an underground lake in the center of a flower field, and a few rivers. It was a beautiful area, but more could be added, a beach, or one of those little gazebo things, or a designated area for picnics, but the backyard lake is already good for those.
While thinking about cool terraforming ideas, Vanessa heard a knock at the door. Vanessa went to investigate.
"Morning, Ms. Vanessa, you've got mail!" said her post-man, a half jackalope half elf fellow as he bowed , Jack as he pushed up his circular specs and handed her a handful letters.
"Thanks, Jack" She said as she took the mail from his hands. "You wanna come in and chat for a while, I got some tea and strawberry chocolate chip pancakes."
"Thats sounds wonderful!" Jack said as his ears perked up, the freckles on his face seemed to lit up and he got a starry excited look in his eyes, he took in deep breath, the aroma of the pancakes were strong enough he could smell them from outside, and he was almost so captaivitaed by the smell he almost fell over, but then quickly shook his head as to get rid of the idea. "B-but the last time I stuck around my boss gave me an earful..."
"Okay, but if you ever wanna hangout, my door's always opened"Vanessa said as she gave a sympathetic shrug
" That's very sweet of you, but I'll be off , uh tell Buddy and Flaps, I said 'Hello'!" Jack said as he waved goodbye to continue his route.
Letters, Vanessa always got a ton them , but never from the same people every time, since most of them were busy people, but it was a nice way to keep in touch with all people she met on her travels, since some of them didn't have phone, or sometimes didn't even know what a phone was, and she found letter to be away more personal. She flipped through the batch of letters as she walked back to the kitchen, this batch came from a friendly, cute photographer, a fashionable bewitching lady, some letters from a group of masked vigilantes, and a letter from an old friend.
âWhoa, look guys it's a letter from Del!â Vanessa said gleefully, showing the letter to Flaps and Buddy. Flaps squeaked in delight and Buddy wagged his tail with joy. Vanessa quickly opened the letter and started readingâŠ.
Hey, Vanessa
Sorry, I havenât gotten around to talking or writing to you as much as I feel like I should.Thereâs just so much going on, Iâve took your advice from the last letter you sent me, and Iâve started to sell my seashell necklaces on the beach to make extra money, Iâve kind of opened a shop, well the owner of the surf shack let me set up my shop in the area where he used to sell his homemade kombucha (which no one brought well except for me, but I just did that because I felt so sorry for the guy, but I do feel relief that I donât have to chug that stuff just to keep myself from vomiting anymore ). Christi has start her own atelier teaching people how to make clothes and dresses while making her own clothing line, she also wants the atelier to become a hip place for all the cool people in town to hang, so sheâs going to start selling some of her sweets there as well, While Nikki has started her own yoga studio, where she teaches yoga (well, duh) and aerobics, with some help from Christi she also sells some athletic clothing as well (but she makes sure to tell Christi not to make the outfits too fancy and frilly) and she has been training for the townâs sports day games this year.
Naomi got a job at the Zoo taking care of the animals, her animal-talking abilities come in pretty hand, she climbed the ranks from elephant cleaner to head zookeeper pretty quickly, she loves being the camp counselor for when zoo camp starts in the summer, if we wouldnât listen to her nerding out about animal facts, those little kids sure well, and look to her as some type of animal goddess, it so cute. While weâre still working on our dream jobs, and figuring out what we want to do with our lives, we still make time for our mayor squad tasks, things have gotten so much easier for me ever since I let the other girls help with my mayoral tasks, and thanks for pushing to make that decision by the way. At first we let citizens visit our home if they were in need of help for a task or to make a suggestion, but that got annoying real quick, you wonât believe the amount of people who would show in the middle of the night asking for help to look for their cat, so we made a separate build far way from our house, its about the size of a clubhouse but it does the job. Its there where we take peopleâs suggestions and at select hours of the day 5 to 8 pm because that fits in with most of our job schedules on Mon-Fri, but 10 to 6 on weekends, so we can still sleep in and have some girl time and movie night afterwards.
Its been fun sharing the town task, it always becomes a mini adventure like the type we used to have when you were around, our next big task is celebrating the townâs 13 anniversary. Naomi said that we shouldnât because its bad luck, but I want to do it because I really like the movie 13 year, and I want to do something big to prove to myself that I can make a big event without screwing it up..so yeah...hehe. Thatâs gonna be a thing, Iâm kind of nervous, it's times like this I wish you were here, but I KNOW I can do it! I just gotta believe, right? Sorry, if this letter is really long, its just that SOOO much stuff has happened, and Iâm busy and then I feel like youâre busy. I donât wanna slow you down or annoy you, maybe I just miss talking to you..I guess or whatever. I think thatâs all I have to update you on...OH wait I forgot to mention...uh.. I maybe...kind of.. like... have a..boyfriend now. Yeah, I met him while we were delivering apples to the annual gala, I kind of bumped into him there, then I started to bump into him EVERYWHERE! I kept running from him because of how embarrassed I felt, and I thought that would make him give up on me, but then he just came to the house and asked me out, and I couldnât say no so I said yes, of course. Heâs real sweet and has the cutest little sister and-- Whoa this letterâs long enough, I guess I'll fill you in later, whenever I get time to sit down and write again. Hope I didnât waste your time.
From, Del
(P.S I enclosed this letter with a necklace I made just for you, I added a mini jar to this which something I just start doing with my necklaces, I hope I actually remember to put it in the letter, and it actually looks good)
Vanessa shook the letter for more of the contents, the sea shell necklace fell out of the letter with a small clang as it hit the table. She picked up gingerly and looked at it, running her fingers over the textures of each and every seashell, mini starfish, appreciated every little detail in the small jar of beach sand. âOh, Delâ Vanessa said fondly. She quickly went to the hallway mirror, and it looked even lovelier in the mirror and surprisingly it matched with her outfit. Vanessa couldnât stop grinning, she felt like she could stand and look at it for hours, but it also gave her a nostalgic feeling, she thought about all the adventures she had with Bree and the other girls, how much fun it was to set up parties, parades, and grand opening, she got that similar feeling from holding the mini grand opening for the plant peopleâs nature cafe. It was nice to see people enjoy what you made, this thought got Vanessa really thinking,
âHey, since I donât have anything big to do today, why donât I pay a visit to Well Sun Valley?â Vanessa said, thinking out loud while looking at her furry friends, who nodded in agreement. âYeah, wait letâs not just make it a visit I could just like you know, stayâ she nodded as she headed back to the kitchen and placed the breakfast plates and cups in the sink âYeah, I mean still have my wrap stones from all the other places Iâve visited before, so if I need to go back to those place Iâm pretty setâ she began quickly wash and rinsing the plates, while passively passing them to Flaps, who held up a plate, so Buddy could dry them with his tail. âShame that I didnt make a wrap stone to Well Sun before I left, but I didnât even how to make those back then, so its alright, I can just take the trainâŠ.â
she looked at the clock âOof, I gotta start packingâ Vanessa quickly rushed out the kitchen, but then backtracked and gathered the other letters, and raced up stairs. Vanessa entered her walk-in closet and dragged out her pink and purple holographic suitcase and started to grab a few outfits, while changing her current outfit to a strawberry tee, with a plaid skirt.
She also packed her travel journal to share her adventures, some books and her laptop to keep herself entertained on the train. Once she was done pack she then went to her desk to read and sent responses to the other letters she got, she was debating if she should send a letter to Del or not, she settled on not because she was coming anyways and wanted it to be a surprise! She looked up the time for when the nearest train depart to Well Sun Valley, the nearest one was about to leave itin 45 minutes. Vanessa held out her hand and thought, and two tickets quickly manifested in her hands âAw, man my manifest powers still need work, I thought too hardâ she said, she inspected the tickets closely and she got the important train details right..
âLetâs goâ Vanessa said as she placed Flaps on her shoulder and bounced out the chair, grabbed her suitcase, and headed outside with Buddy following behind, she made a stop at the mailbox to put her letters in, she bounced on the wrap portal. She was teleported into a bush and stumbled out âOof, got to work on those teleportation skillsâ Vanessa shook her head to regain her equalium. She looked around to see that she landed near a train station that was a small station in a valley across from a lake, not far from a small town. She ran to get in line, but was stopped in her tracks when she saw the no animals sign. âOof, time to hide, guysâ Flaps hid in Vanessa loose curly hair, and Buddy made himself invisible. âGreatâ
She loaded in with the another passengers and was show by one of the workers to her room in the sleeper car, her room had two beds one on each side.
"Guess, I lucked out" Vanessa shrugged to herself. She placed her luggage under one of the seats, but not before taking out her laptop. It would take 2 days to reach Well Sun Valley, so might as well enjoy the ride. Vanessa headed to the dining car, watch some videos while she soak up the atmosphere, and to see if the cafe has any cute treats.
Vanessa found herself a nice seat near the back so she could get a good scoop of everything. She wanted to get lost in the murmurs of background conversations, the light clanking of plates, cups and utseils, the humming from the coffee machine and warm auroma that was wafing from it that mixed pleasently with savory smell coming from the kitchen
she peered up to check to see if her island was following her and it was, set up her laptop, despite the train having a rustic old times aesthetic the wifi was pretty good, and order herself a cute strawberry parfait.
Vanessa patted Buddy on the head as he snuggled up right next to her, other than the morning rush everything went pretty smoothly. Might as well just sit and enjoy the atmosphere, but just as she was about to, the back door bursted opened, Vanessa turned to see a guy coming out of the back door, he was hunched over--his knees were almost down to floor. At first his face was covered by a mount of messy almost shaggy blond hair. He shook his head vigorously revealing his bright blue eyes that contracted loudly against his ghostly pale skin his face sprinkled with freckles, he had orange headphones that hung around his neck, The blue eyes were surrounded by dark circles,he wore a black turtleneck tunic, and he looked like he was being almost swallowed whole by his baggy orange jacket that draped his shoulders. His blue orbs widened looking like they couldn't believe the scene they were witnessing.
"Oh, oh, God! P-people!? There are actual people!!Thank God!"He said falling to knees taken aback "I-I'm out,I'm out, I'm ACTUAL OUT. T-that means I can find him, I FINALLY--" He tried to run, but ended up tripping over his own feet. "Whoa, gotta sit down a sec" said to himself as he slugged into an empty booth nearby.
Vanessa was pretty confused by what she just saw, a random dude just came out of the baggage car. He didn't seem like a stowaway, he didn't seem sneaky at all, and the fact that didn't even know he was on the train til now. The other passengers were too into their own businesses to worry about what's going on at the back of the car. Vanessa was going to investigate herself, but her stream of thoughts was interruptes by a voice.
"Excuse ma'am, may I see your ticket" said the conductor with his hand out ticket ready
"Oh sure, here" Vanessa as she handed over her ticket.
The conductor punched her ticket and promptly handed it back to her "Thank you, ma'am, hope you enjoy your trip"he gave her a consumer friendly smile, and walked to back
"Hmm..I wonder if I could add his to my travel scrapbook" Vanessa said as looked at her punched ticket.
"Wait no, please let me stay on the train" said a panicked voice from the back.
"I'm sorry, sir but I cannot let you ride the ride without a ticket, I must ask to leave or I will be forced to remove you from the train myself!"
"No, please you don't understand I NEED to be on the train!" The boy said practically begging
"I will not stand for this nonsense on my train" the conductor said as he stomped his foot " You have left me with no choice"
The conductor grabbed the boy by his baggy jacket as he held onto the table for dear life! " NO PLEASE YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND!! I HAVE NOWHERE GO!!!
"Well then, you have no business being on this train then"
"WAIT!" Vanessa shouted, making the two stop dead in their tracks. "He's with me!" She held up her extra ticket like it was some holy item. "Sorry, I completely forgot to give you your ticket uhâŠ" she slowly gestured toward the boy.
"Oh, uh Nick!" The boy said as he perked up "Yeah, I'm definitely with her" he pointed toward Vanessa. The conductor let go of Nick and took a closer look at the extra ticket, he looked back at Nick, who gave a sheepish smile, then punched the ticket "Sorry for the misunderstanding, sir." The scary harsh persona the conductor was replaced with a consumer friendly smile. "Enjoy your trip" The conductor returned the ticket and walked away
"Oh God, Thank you!" Nick said as he heaved a sigh "you're a lifesaver" The boy stood up straight all that slouching really did hid his almost towering height compared to Vanessa.
"My goodness, you look awful!" Vanessa said with consider in her voice as she gazed at the disshloved boy in front of her "Where did you come from?"
"It's a long story.." Nick mumbled rubbing the back of his head, just then a growling noise came from his stomach
"I wouldn't mind take some time from my two day trip, hear your origin story over some burgers and fries" Vanessa suggested gesturing towards her table
__________________________
"Hmm I never would have an old times train car to have such hardy burgers on their menu" Vanessa said looking at the posh, script-written menu and then looking at the hamburger meat that was wrapped bacon, topped with cheese that dripped slow as it melted from the heat of the hamburger, topped with cold tomatoes and lettuce all hugged up in two soft buns, served with some nuggets and fries.
Vanessa only had a small bit of the meaty mount, she was already content with her parfait from earlier, while Nick was wolfing his burger like he hadnât seen food in forever, she never seen some eat food so fast, Nick became quite sheepish when he realized Vanessa was looking at him. âOh, sorry, I didnât mean to act like a slob, I just canât remember the last time I saw food--actually I canât remember the last time I saw anything.â He wiped his face with a napkin thoughtfully, then timidly gazed at Vanessaâs plate.
âNo, no its fine, I just never guess someone as lanky and skinny as you could put away so muchâ Vanessa explained then she gently pushed her plate towards Nick, âHere, you can have my plate, I had a parfait earlier so Iâm pretty fullâ
âOh, thank youâ Nick said, accepting her offer, and took no time going ham on the beef.
âNo problem, you said earlier that you were walking in the middle of nowhere?â
âYeah, It felt like I was just walking forever, like years but I was getting nowhere, everything was so white it was almost blinding.â
âDo you remember how you got there in the first place, what was your life like before?â
âMy life was pretty normal, I lived in a pretty small town, I had friends, I went to school, I used to go rollerskating alot, even I had a job kind of.â Nick said put down the sandwich, and looked out the window thoughtfully âThe last thing I remember was that I finally got to talk to this cool guy, I was so happy because he really clicked. I would always see him around and we would chat here and there , but we never really got to have a real conversation, his friend was super protective of him--his friend didnât get along with my friend, they were always at each others throats, so I rarely got to talk to the guy in a peaceful setting for long. Until one day when my best friend literally pushed me to talk to him, we just started talking and it was just so awesome, it was the last best day I remember having. I felt like I was finally getting somewhere with him and then next thing I know I woke up on the cold hard white floor all alone, with nothing for miles.â Nick started to passively rub the streaks of ketchup on his plate with a lone french fry. âI didnât sleep or eat, I couldnât feel anything but emptiness, not only did I lose track of time, I started to lose myself..if was terrifyingâ
âOh my god, Iâm so sorry...â Vanessa said, she couldnât imagine being alone like that for so long.
âYeah, but Iâm out of it now LITERALLY, I can finally find him now, I was planning to share something important with him before I woke up in the void. I donât know where he is but I think this train might lead me to him. Whereâs this train going again?â
âJust a sweet town called Well Sun Valley,â Vanessa said proudly âI used to live there a long time ago but now Iâm coming back to stay.â
âYou think I might find my friend there?â Nick said his eyes gleamed with hope.
âWell, Sun Valley is known for having the magical ability to bring the most interesting people together, I would say thereâs a good chanceâVanessa said with a firm nod
âOh, thatâs a reliefâ Nick yawned his head now resting on his arms, his head slowly tiling to the left, his eyes blinking fighting back sleepiness. âIâm sorry, I think all that walking is finally catching up to meâ Nick let his heavy eyes droop closed as he gave into the urge to sleep, all the nervous energy that harvested in body seem to vanish and was replaced by peaceful slow pace breathing, his face sporting rosy cheeks that seemed to have gotten redder than when he was awake.
âAw..âVanessa said looking at the sleeping boy, the poor guy deserve some rest after what heâs been through, but then so realized âOh, wait Iâm going to have to carry him back to the sleeping carâ Vanessa was unsure if her magic would work in the area the train was currently in, plus the dining car was pretty much packed at this hour even for late lunch, and she wasnât so sure if any of these passengers had see magic before nor how they would react to the site of a boy floating in mid air. âI guess Iâm just going to have to do this the hard wayâ Buddy climbed up to the table to eat what was left of the sandwich Nick was eating, and Flaps emerged out of Vanessa's hair to munch on the leftover fries.
âWould you two mind helping me with thisâ Vanessa said nodding towards the exhausted Nick, Buddy and Flap both sighed and shruggedâŠ

Where it all began.
Sheâd been on her mind for days now. A Miqoâte, much like Aylin herself, although she was quite a bit taller and of Sun Clan descent unlike Aylinâs Moon Clan heritage. She had tanned skin, hair the color of the clear sky, and midnight blue eyes, slitted in the typical way of her clan. A fellow Scion, and an ever present party member during her missions. She was strong, impressively so, not only physically but in spirit as well. Aylin seemed to be the only one that could match that strength, and as a result they found themselves gravitating towards one another often. She eventually came to find out that her name was Kaylas Yatsu, and she possessed the echo, much like Aylin herself.
In battle they were an unstoppable force. For all of Kaylasâs strength as a Dark Knight, Aylin was just as competent as a White Mage. Never before had she felt so determined to keep someone safe. As a healer, there was always a sense of urgency during battles. However, that feeling was tripled while watching over Kaylas on the field. Regardless of the difficulty level of the mission, Aylin had taken to checking on blue haired woman after their objectives were complete. She found herself offering to take care of even the most minor wounds that her magic had missed, and Kaylas always accepted with a smile.
She had an accent Aylin couldnât quite place, and she had to admit that she found it quite alluring. If she was being completely honest with herself, there wasnât much about Kaylas that she didnât find alluring. Aesthetically, she was a sharp contrast to Aylin herself. All long legs and striking features in comparison to Aylinâs smaller stature and soft, delicate appearance. Aylin found herself lost in Kaylasâs beauty on more than one occasion. Personality wise, it felt like they were made for each other. When Aylin felt too shy or overwhelmed with the group, Kaylasâs warm and friendly demeanor was a comfort to her. Over time, they developed a companionship that she cherished. Yet Aylin couldnât explain the way her stomach flipped and her heart fluttered whenever she looked at Kaylas, something that never happened with her other comrades. And the purring. It was all she could do to control it enough so that Kaylas wouldnât hear it.
After a rather long day, Aylin found herself sipping on wine and relaxing with Yâshtola in the tavern outside their headquarters. âOh my, isnât he quite handsome?â Yâshtola suddenly said, nudging Aylin and gesturing towards the entryway. Aylin followed her gaze, finding herself unimpressed with the Elezen gentleman who had just walked in. She shrugged, opening her mouth to reply to her friend when she noticed a certain blue haired Miqoâte enter in after him, chatting with one of their party members from earlier that day. Aylinâs eyes followed her movements, her mouth still partially open as whatever it was she was going to say had all but vanished from her mind.
âOh I see. Someone else has already caught your eye, hm? Mayhap you should go and talk to her, Aylin,â Yâshtola encouraged, giving her another nudge accompanied by a sly wink. Aylin felt her face grow warm, but she nodded and stood anyways before making her way over to her comrade. The man Kaylas had entered with was talking to her enthusiastically, clearly making an effort to impress her. Aylin felt her courage begin to wane, until Kaylas spotted her. She couldnât help but notice the way the taller girlâs face lit up upon seeing her, and her belly fluttered at the realization. Kaylas waved her over, immediately pulling her into a tight hug and making Aylin blush.
Aylin didnât miss the way Kaylasâs hands lingered on her waist for a moment as they parted, and her heart raced as the taller girl gazed at her softly and lifted a hand to gently brush a strand of lilac hair out of Aylinâs face. âItâs good to see you, little one,â Kaylas said quietly, mouth curved up in a sweet smile. Aylin felt her face grow even hotter at the term of endearment, her eyes flickering to Kaylasâs lips for a second before she forced them back up to look her in the eyes. She returned her smile and nodded.
âItâs always a pleasure, Kaylas,â Aylin replied. There was an ever present tension between them, although it wasnât completely unpleasant. It felt like the air before a summer storm, warm and mellow but slowly shifting to something a bit more intense. As Kaylasâs dark blue gaze subtly swept down her form, Aylin felt goosebumps raise across her skin. She suddenly knew, in that moment, that this woman would be her endgame. She had never been so sure of anything in her life.
Neither of them noticed the man clear his throat awkwardly before eventually walking away, too distracted by whatever spell had overcome them. âWould you care to take a walk with me?â Kaylas asked, voice low so that only Aylin could hear her.
âI would like that very much,â the shorter girl responded. She felt Kaylasâs hand brush the small of her back as she guided her to the door and out into the Aetheryte plaza of Mor Dhona. Elsewhere in the tavern, Yâshtola was watching with a satisfied smirk. âThank the Twelve. Itâs about time,â she muttered to herself as she took another sip of her drink.
The night was warm and the plaza was mostly empty, a few lingering adventurers passing by as they made their way to their inns for the night. The two women walked out of the sanctuary, into a clearing where their view of the night sky was unhindered. Midway, Aylin grew confident enough to slip her hand into Kaylasâs. The taller girl looked down at her in surprise for a moment, before smiling brightly and intertwining her fingers with Aylinâs. They strolled quietly for a few minutes, before coming to a stop in front of a small overlook.
Kaylas released her hand and Aylin turned her attention from the starry night sky to look at her. She was close, closer than she had ever been, and in the light of the moon Aylin took note of the small blue mark adorning her left cheekbone, almost blending in with the darker striping. She reached up slowly, before cupping Kaylasâs cheek and running her thumb over the mark affectionately. âI like this,â Aylin whispered, finger still gently tracing the stripe. Kaylas tilted her head, face leaning into Aylinâs palm.
âAnd I like you,â Kaylas replied quietly. Aylin was well aware that she was purring loud enough for Kaylas to hear at this point, but she found that she didnât care anymore. âIâve always thought that you look so beautiful in the moonlight,â Kaylas said, voice barely above a whisper as her eyes traced over Aylinâs features before lingering on her lips. She slid her hands around Aylinâs waist, pulling her even closer so that their bodies were flush against each other.
Aylinâs hand left Kaylasâs face to slide around her neck and entangle in the back of her hair. She raised herself up as the blue haired girl leaned down, meeting her halfway and pressing their lips together softly. She could feel Kaylasâs chest vibrating against hers, although her purring was less audible than Aylinâs. The kiss was gentle and sweet, and they parted after a short moment.
Kaylas gazed down at her almost heatedly, and Aylin was sure her own expression was much the same. She leaned up, wrapping both arms around her neck and pulling the taller woman back down to kiss her again. She deepened the kiss this time, opening her mouth as Kaylas responded in kind. Their tongues traced each other, tasting and savoring as they enjoyed the slow but intense kiss. She ignored the heat building in her belly, content to enjoy this moment with the woman she had been longing for. After a long moment, they were forced to part for air. Kaylas leaned her forehead against Aylinâs as they panted, still gripping each other tightly.
âYouâve no idea how long Iâve wanted to do that,â Kaylas breathed, lips just centimeters from Aylinâs.
âFar too long,â Aylin replied in agreement. Kaylas pressed one, then two more short kisses to Aylinâs lips before standing up straight. Aylinâs arms left her neck to wrap around her middle, head fitting perfectly against her shoulder. She had never felt more at home.
ââââââââ
Meanwhile, back at the tavern, a few of the Scions were busy placing bets on when the two would be wed. According to Thancred, it would be at least two years while Yâshtola was adamant it would take a single year. Imagine their surprise when three short months later the women would be bearing new wristlets, and Tataru would be claiming her prize money with glee.

Olympic Swimming: Olympic Bronze Medallist BRENT HAYDEN comes out of Retirement with goal of competing at Olympic 2020
Following seven years from the pool, Olympic bronze medallist Brent Hayden is back preparing with the objective of contending at the Tokyo Olympic Games. Olympic supporters from all over the world are invited to book Olympic 2020 tickets from our online platforms for Olympic Tickets. Olympic Swimming enthusiasts can book Olympic Swimming Tickets from our ticketing marketplace exclusively on discounted prices.
Hayden resigned from focused swimming subsequent to arriving at the platform in the 100-meter free-format the London 2012 Olympics. At the time the Vancouver inhabitant, who prepared at the High-Performance Center â Vancouver, was managing extreme back issues and individual issues.
I didn't care for the manner in which I resigned, said Hayden, who turned 36 on Monday. I resigned in light of the fact that I despised the game as a result of how things were happening in my life. I understood I get an opportunity to begin to look all starry eyed at the game once more.
Hayden plans to fit the bill for Tokyo Olympic in the 50-m free-form and potentially the 100-m free-form. He could likewise carry profundity to the transfer groups. The Olympic 2020 and Paralympic Trials will be held March 30 to April 5 at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Center.
I think the 50-m is the most sensible, said Hayden. Generally, in the event that you take a gander at sprinters, 50-m freestylers have a more extended life expectancy. You can continue building up your capacity and heart stimulating exercise significantly longer than your perseverance that the 100-m requires.
Hayden has been preparing with mentor Tom Johnson at the HPC-Vancouver since early September. John Atkinson, Swimming Canada's High-Performance Director respected Hayden's arrival.
At the point when Brent reached Swimming Canada about his arrival to aggressive Olympic Swimming we talked about his arrangements and aspirations, at that point we completely concurred and upheld his arrival, said, Atkinson. I am glad to state our High-Performance Center in Vancouver based at the University of British Columbia will be working with Brent to help his arrival. He is a cultivated competitor at the most significant level, and we invite him back to the game.
Johnson has been intrigued with Hayden's wellness level and assurance. I don't see anything truly holding him up of having the option to do it, said Johnson. You can keep in mind him since when he puts his psyche to something, he is uniquely engaged and ready to do it. He's likewise significantly progressively adult. There's a sense reason about what he's doing.
In the wake of resigning Hayden once in a while went to pool, but to lead swim facilities. He stayed fit as a fiddle with normal weight preparing. This Summer Games, Hayden went through a quarter of a year in Lebanon chatting with the group of his better half Nadina Zarifeh. While there he started Olympic Swimming at an open-air pool.
"Things began feeling great, he said. I began doing a few runs. Things that I thought would have been gone were still there. My strategy felt astonishing. Little eccentricities in my body that constantly sorted of irritating weren't there any longer. I really felt fresher."
Hayden still holds Canadian free-form records in the 50-m (21.73 seconds), 100-m (47.27 seconds) and 200-m (one moment, 46.40 seconds). His bronze award time of 47.80 seconds in London would have tied him for a silver decoration at the Rio 2016 Games. It likewise would have given him a bronze at the current year's FINA World Championships.
Australian's Kyle Chalmers, who was only 18 at the time, won the 100-m gold in Rio at 47.58 seconds. American Anthony Ervin won the 50-m free-form in Rio in 21.40 seconds. At age 35, he is the most established Olympic gold decoration victor in Olympic Swimming.
American Caeleb Dressel won the 50-m free-form at the FINA World Championships in 21.04 seconds. The top Canadian was Yuri Kisil who completed 25th in 22.28. Dressel additionally won the 100-m in 46.96. Kisil was again the top Canadian, completing seventeenth in 48.79. During his profession, Hayden earned 22 decorations at Olympics, big showdowns, Pan Pacific Championships, and Commonwealth Games.
He won the 100-m free-form gold at the 2007 World Championships, tying Italy's Filippo Magnini. That made him the first Canadian in quite a while to win a big showdown gold. Hayden had high trusts in the Beijing 2008 Olympics however neglected to fit the bill for the 100-m last. His award in London was the first for a Canadian in the 100 meters. Hayden said coming back to the pool has revived his adoration for Olympic Swimming.
It's energizing, he said. Previously, I never experience existence without Olympic Swimming. You only sort of fall into a daily practice. A ton of days it resembles strolling into a vocation. It's an errand. This time I've settled on the decision to return. Consistently I come here it's a gift. In any event, when I'm in an extremely hard set, and I sense that I simply need to upchuck, I can't resist the urge to grin and be so grateful I'm here the present moment.

I did approximately 45 seconds of research for this and most of it was looking at pictures of space
tuesjade prompt: space
"Kanaya, are you busy?"
You consider this. You are, at this very moment, considering your artificially miniature tree (bonsai, Dirk called it) trying to decide if it's growing too fast. There is no topiary for you to style with a chainsaw here, so you've channeled your gardening precision in smaller pursuits. Aradia introduced you to the technique, which she says is an East Alternian tradition. She thought you might like it, and the process looks soothing from a distance. Up close, it involves a lot of neuroticism about angles. Or maybe thatâs just how you do it.
Although you've been deep in contemplation of which branches might need pruning, to external observers you've been staring at a tree for fifteen minutes. The contemplation might have veered off course a while ago. Your mind is foggy a lot these days.
Speaking of which, Jade is waiting for a response. "Not exactly," you hazard.
The two of you cross paths often in her greenhouse. You and Calliope are its most frequent visitors. Sticking your hands into soil is a good way to ground yourself in a life where youâre still putting down roots. When sheâs busy with a project, Jade will only nod as you walk by, but if sheâs passing through she likes to chat. Youâd only spoken for a few hours while cooperating on creating the genesis frog, but then youâd gotten along. Youâd bonded laughing about the Knights assisting you and reminiscing about childhoods spent gazing at the clouds and longing for company. She could be prickly too â demanding passwords or doubting your intentions. A troll on Pesterchum, even a polite one, wasnât important enough for her to hide those parts of herself from. Itâs a quirk of her character that strangers are the ones who knew her best.
Now, she leans in to admire your work. Her hair is growing out, but it doesn't cover the curve of her neck as she reaches out to tap the pot. "It's so cute!"
You readjust the pot's position. "Could you move your carotid artery out of my line of sight? It's distracting."
She hops back and sits on a greenhouse table reserved for equipment. A watering can topples over with a thunk. "Is the vampire thing still a problem?"
"It's a work in progress." What it is is maddening. Your life has been set to half speed - where once you were the fastest of your group on foot (discounting flash stepping), now you lag behind. Your thoughts lag too, making your conversational pauses even more ponderous while you trudge through mental muck. Rose and Roxy have had it as bad with different symptoms. You and Rose spent the morning slumped over the kitchen table pulling grotesque faces at each other. She'd squeezed your hand and said, "I feel terrible" with exhausted pride. At least you're not going through this alone.
"I'm not going to abandon all restraint and attack you,â you reassure Jade, âbut it's like dangling a raw haunch in front of a cholerbear."
âSorry Iâm so delicious!â she says with a laugh, and hunches her shoulders up around her neck. "I'll try not to be too tempting. But I do have something else that might distract you. Do you want to come to outer space?"
You look back at some sprigs of new growth questing too far above the tree's canopy and itch for pruning shears. "I know we share an Aspect, but my interests have always been more terrestrial."
"You won't be disappointed, I promise."
There's a temporary transportalizer plugged into an outlet in Jade's room. They're simple to drop down and activate, thanks to alchemizing them with fenestrated portal technology. Maybe they're too easy to use - Jake left one in the bathroom once, and when Terezi went to take a shower she ended up in an ocean several thousand light years away. She hid a fish in his bed when she got back.
"This seems out of character," you say. Jade usually teleports rather than taking the stairs.
"My range isn't as far these days, and we're going way out."
âShould we tell anyone weâre leaving?â
She shakes her head and steps onto the telepad. Over her shoulder, in the instant before she vanishes, she calls, "It'll only take a few minutes. You'll want to see this. Trust me."
When you rematerialize, your first breath doesn't come. Jade sees your eyes widen, and she catches your arm before you can step back onto the exit telepad. "There's not much of an atmosphere here. Your game powers will kick in in a moment, don't worry." Sure enough, your next breath comes easier. You focus on respiration until you're reassured that you wonât lose consciousness, and then you look around.
The landscape is nothing but dust and rock. It could be the surface of the Veil laboratory meteor that served as your temporary home, except no structures jut out from the surface. The sky isn't the flat black of the furthest ring, but it isn't the starry expanse of normal space either. Instead, a bright haze of gasses swirls and churns.
"A star formed in the middle of this nebula," Jade tells you. "The rest of the disc around it is still taking shape into planets. Either this chunk wandered in from outside and gotten pulled into the starâs orbit, or otherwise its accretion happened way faster than anything elseâs. I havenât looked closely enough at it yet to tell." She scans the sky. "It looks like we're rotated away from what I brought you here to show you. I can handle a local jump on my own. Are you ready?"
You nod, and your atoms fizzle into green fire. Normally after a First Guardian teleport you blink the flashes out of your eyes, but they remain dazzled. There's a rift in the middle of the haze, where a larger object has pulled surrounding dust and gasses into its mass. It's a shifting, molten sphere that you can only look at from the corners of your vision. "What is it?"
The light reflects off Jade's glasses, making them flash bright yellow when she turns to smile at you. "It's a planet being born."
After a few more seconds, you drop your gaze to the rock at your feet, blinking away afterimages. Your eyes burn. "Do you recognize it?" she asks.
"Yes, I'd be able to pick this particular glowing orb out of a lineup."
"Pff, don't be sarcastic. Use your spacey powers!"
You close your eyes with relief and try to reach out with a sense that isn't any of the five. Space usually feels uncomfortably vast, a place that could swallow you up and leave nothing behind. There is infinite creative potential in Space, yes, but what it is most of all is empty. Void. Right now, though, it feels vibrant. Alternia was old, lit by a dying star growing too large for the species dependent on its rays. Everything in this place feels fresh with the birth of stars and planets. They have red hot cores and fission reactions that are only beginning to burn. Recognize it? "I'm not as expert at using them as you are."
She purses her lips. "If it helps, this hunk of rock we're on right now is going to be pulled into orbit and become that planet's moon. In a few billion years some of the gasses floating around will form an atmosphere and rain down to the planetâs surface to create oceans. Eventually it'll be able to support life." She raises her eyebrows like this should mean something to you. When you donât speak, she says, "It's the planet where we'll raise the mothergrub."
You look back at the white-hot giant in the sky. Postponing the revival of your species is the right decision, youâre sure of that. Attempting to properly raise a mothergrub and then batches of wigglers while not even eight sweeps old and lightheaded from rainbow drinker withdrawal would only end in disaster. Few of you were raised well. None of you want to pass that along. Still, after seeing the matriorb shatter and finally getting it back, itâs hard to know your greatest responsibility is so far out of your sight, even if the screens have already shown you it will be fine. "It's not there now?"
"No, of course not. It won't be for another few billion years."
You hadn't checked all the readouts on the lab equipment. All the numbers for date ranges had been too large to grasp. Universes are vast in many dimensions, time and space. Itâs something youâre only just coming to appreciate. "That's a long time to wait."
"John can take you there whenever you'd like. We don't have to move in chronological order. It's kind of like how you're not expected to read through an entire encyclopedia set front to back." She sticks out her tongue. "Although you can."
Youâre not sure what an encyclopedia is, but this sounds like a sore subject. "Did you?"
"My grandpa only left me with so much to read, and I wanted to know what was going on with the rest of the world! They were very outdated though. I thought the Cold War was still happening. When a plane came by to do a package drop after I finished the C volume, I hid in case it was a bomber."
"Cold War? Was that a war you only fought in cold climates?"
"Noooo, not exactly. I'll explain it some other time, it was kind of messy." She scuffs her foot through the dust, kicking up a cloud that settles quickly in the thin atmosphere. "We can go back now. I just thought you might like to see it all get started out here. And now you know we can flip to the page where the mothergrub is any time you like."
You turn back to glimpse the planet one more time. Someday, civilization will spring up there. Youâve seen it happen. In theory, youâll be there to help. Thatâs the responsibility you were given, and itâs one youâre determined to execute â just not today.
Today, youâre watching a world get born. The energy of creation hums around you and thrums deep in your veins. Who needs someone elseâs blood when you can have this?
A few nights after the game, you and Rose had climbed up onto the roof to watch the sun set. It was the first time either of you had seen one in sweeps. You half-expected Rose to say something scathing about how cliched it was as a romantic venue, but she stayed quiet until the last traces of light slipped under the horizon. âI know when I was drunk I said everything was beautiful like some roadside hippie peddling dreamcatchers,â she said. âEnough that it must have lost its meaning. But the world is beautiful sometimes.â
âYouâll make that concession?â youâd teased.
âIâm still at war with the fundamental injustices of reality. ButâŠâ She leaned against your shoulder. âWe can stop and enjoy the highlights.â
âItâs beautiful,â you say now.
âThere are a lot of really cool sights to see out here,â Jade says. âA whole universe full of them! But I know you had a tree to chop up. Are you ready to go home?â
âI think I can just about handle one planet at a time.â You wave farewell to the burning sphere in the sky. âIâll be back.â
âBefore you know it,â Jade agrees, and she takes your hand, and youâre gone.
#tuesjade#and kanaya is officially checked off the list#it's choppy but i have a long list of stuff to do today#and thus must check posting this off to clear room to go Die#kat writes fic#tlcverse#shoutout to ppl who actually read this bullshit despite it obvs not being canon compliant#and in fact being compliant with an au like 3 ppl know about

@ufolotus @diaroon my writings Â
Paperwork with tiny print was a strain on the eyes, and Emeritus didnât exactly have eagle-vision. His nose bumped against the paper so many times that he didnât notice he had a black smudge on the tip until Adrian pointed it out to him during break.
âDo they let the ink dry before they send the papers out?â The brunette chuckled, watching his mentor angrily wipe at the smudge. Emeritus gave him a dry look, reaching for a napkin and wetting it with some coffee. âSometimes they donât wait long enough for it to dry; these papers used to be hand-written when there were fewer members on the team, but now theyâve been using the printer, and a shitty one at that.â The blond dabbed his nose, checking to see if the ink was coming off. He handed the younger man the napkin. Adrian took it gratefully to clean his own fingeres, glancing at the other letters they had to read. âPerhaps we should leave them here until they dry?â It wasnât a bad idea, Emeritus had to give the man that. He went over to the window, opening it. Â
"Briney waves crash around your body and you pretend to be powerful. Stardust falls upon your shoulders and you pretend to be ethereal. thereâs a spark in your eyes and you pretend to be untalented. The fires of the factory speak to you, and you pretend to be at peace."
A decade could be cruel, especially behind the barbed wire fences and looming prison, which, while looking soulessly dull on the outside, gave an omnious feeling with its tall dark windows, and flashes of orange as prisoners were herded to their cells from the mess hall, and in some cases, to the last room they'll ever be in. Hobble had picked up a few scars along the way, and a serious smoking habit. As she stood at the pickup-spot, she shielded her lighter with her hand to keep the chill autumn wind from blowing the fire away, the flame lighting up her aged features. She long accepted she wasn't young anymore, and the added stress of that place didn't help. BEEP BEEP! The pickup-bus had arrived-the woman had to blink several times to make sure she was seeing a bus, they had become nearly extinct after the war- and stared at the driver as he pulled up alongside her, opening the door. Hobble quietly got on and sat a few seats behind the driver, pulling her tattered, faded hat snugly down over her head. God, she was glad it still fit after all these years. "First day out, hm?" The driver asked, adjusting the mirror to look at her. She had noticed he was a stocky man who had a shadow of a beard, as if he had skipped a day shaving, and a periwinkle blue uniform, with a matching cap in which she presumed most of his long curly hair had been tucked under, judging by the few strands peeking out.
She nods from her seat; she didn't really want to make small-chat with anyone at the moment. He started to drive away, the prison getting smaller and smaller the further they went into the countryside, where the dead trees and yellow grass were slowly intergrating into lush greens and the golden, rustic colors of fall. "So, where do you want to go?"
Hobble thought for a moment; where would she go? If her parents were still alive, they would have most certainly moved, and she doubted that rickety house would be standing. As for that place, Hobble was sure a bunch of vagrants made it their own hideaway spot. She might visit it sometime in the future, but now was too soon.
"Anywhere." She looks up at him in the mirror. "Anywhere but here."
The bus sped on, and Hobble found herself looking out the window, the scenery becoming more wild and beautiful with each passing moment; she almost felt at peace. A flash of red startled the woman as it stuck to the window, but on closer inspection, it wasn't an autumn leaf like she thought. It was a red butterfly, clinging to the glass as it enjoyed it's free ride, beautiful red wings fluttering in the breeze. Seeing that butterfly reminded her of Emeritus, and his last words to her; how he spoke so fondly of that particular type of butterfly. She had thought it more than odd, but now she could see what he meant, now she was seeing it for the first time. But thinking about him or what happened doesn't matter now, Hobble thought, softly smiling at the butterfly as it spread it's wings and took off into the clear blue skies, fading off into a tiny red dot. What matters most of all, is the present.

Its hard for me to put into words what I want to say. I'm not the best wordsmith; most of the time whenever I start to write, Â I can't really find a way to express want I want to say. Â I really miss you, but I'm glad you're safe at home, away from this. Â It's been very cold here; these creatures have the home advantage on their planet, being used to temperatures that would rival even the coldness of Yellow Diamond's heart, and are used to scurrying across the rocky land. Where we plod, they gallop. They've picked off several others already. They're smart too; they already figured out that shattering us won't allow us to regenerate, and make off with what pieces they can to assure we can't bring them home. I can see their eyes glowing beyond the floodlights; they're waiting for us to let our guard down. Their ghostly howling is enough to scare the most hardened among us, and we can hear them clawing at the sides of the ship, and in the morning we find deep scratches along the fuel tanks. Our commander has been given orders to retreat, but there have been delays. None of us may make it home.

Shifty catches Apatite and Topaz dancing, then fusing, and took photos. Later on threatens Apatite about exposing the two, and considering Topaz is a lower-class gem and a Off Color, he'll be shattered. He holds this over Apatite's head and uses it to get him to do things for him, all in the hopes of framing him and getting him off the group.
"Oh..now normally, fusion between two different gems don't bother me, but you know how everyone else is." He holds up the photographs, smirking. "It would be a shame if these got out, blowing around the gempire, hm? Oh, no worries, you're safe, its your signifigant other who will be in danger; may I say, he would be shattered for this kind of behavior." Apatite looks horrified; the other notes this with pleasure. "You'd do anything to keep him safe, right? How much do you love him?"
Fur Elise: Showcases Apatite and Emerald's bond, especially over music. Emerald is more lively and spry, while Apatite is the softer and gentler melody.
Hitman Mission: Topaz and Red Coral are on their infilteration mission on another planet. They must avoid being seen by the other creatures there, and have been given orders to kill if needed. They should not alert anyone else to their prescence.
This Is Where I Belong: The gems are either going to Earth, or they are returning to Homeworld. Both places could be home. Homeworld would obviously hold stronger ties, for they lived there for so long. But hey, I've moved more than fourteen times, what do I know what a home is, and what one feels like? I have no idea, but they'd find a home someplace, whatever a home feels like.
Santa Monica Dream: Emerald is lying on a bed, staring at the wall. It's a late-summer, early autumn day, with golden sunlight filtering through the window. He is thinking, hugging the pillow.
Mary Shaw theme: Emerald is exploring a creepy house with Angel Aura; they see movement which prompts them both to get the fuck out of Dodge. They get lost and they have to try and find their way out. Unbeknownst to them, it's only Red Coral being Major Dickhead.
Dirty Little Secret: Each of their gems have their secrets; the sequence shows what they are. Emerald is almost caught doing his, and so is Red Coral.
Mr. Saxobeat: Red Coral is dancing to this song, and he tries to get the others to join him. Emerald is dragged into it, but he sneaks away while Red Coral is trying to land a difficult move. Apatite just shakes his head and leaves with Angel Aura. Topaz stays because he feels bad for Red Coral.
Lone Digger: The gems go out on a Friday night on Earth. They see some....interesting sights.
Circle Backwards: Apatite is in his office, looking out the window and down at the rest of what remains of his old squadron, still active with training. He misses spending time with them, and is writing letter after letter to try and reconnect. Only one or two reply.
Roll The Dice: Emerald is dragged along on an outing with the others, and they try to get him to let loose. It takes a while, but he starts having fun. They go sight-seeing before going to a dance club. He practically kills it on the dance floor-or makes a fool of himself, but still has a epic time anyways with his friends.
Mohombi Maraca: Red Coral crashes a pool party. He may or may not start a dance-off with someone, before Topaz picks him up and carries him away.
Party Rock: Emerald has no patients for the day, so he's just being bored around the office before deciding to why not dance?
Room of Angels: {REDACTED} {REDACTED} It has to do with Yellow Diamond and Pink Diamond. (Hint: The song sort of explains)
Durmstrang: Topaz is training with the other Topazes. Their session is intense, and Angel Aura is a little intimidated watching them, and hides out on the roof of another building.
Cleopatra: We see a different form of Apatite from a few thousand years ago.
Good Time: Â Gems getting ready for their day, breezing through their work day before waiting for night to fall so they can go do together whatever gems do when they want to have fun. Maybe there's a gem-rodeo with creatures from another planet, maybe they attend that, and Red Coral double-dares Angel Aura to participate.
To All Of You: The Gems are on Earth, and Emerald takes the day with Topaz to explore the town together. Â Â (Still debating on whether they should go to Beach City or in Alabama, because I feel pretty strongly for both)
Stamp On The Ground: Gem dance-competition. Apatite is surprisingly good at this one, and even sheds his usual attire to make it easier for him. (Relax, he's wearing something under that.)
Run Boy Run Instrumental: Basically, I like to think that gems like Topaz were most likely shattered for being malformed. (Backed up by what we just saw in the recent episodes) Since its before the rebellion, gems like him are sent off to be shattered. He gets scared and escapes, while those gem bots are after him. Soon he finds a gem who helps him hide. Then it cuts to the rebellion, where any remaining gems that were strong enough, no matter how 'off-color' they are, are recruited, and he's one of them. Cue a military training montage.
Candyman Theme: It's autumn on Earth, and Emerald is enjoying it.
Die Young: The gems accidentally crash a school dance, but nobody cares. (I might also make an appearance in this one!)
Faceoff SYFY Theme: The gems each show off their weapons in dramatic reveals. May even do a little show with them.
You're So True: Topaz and Emerald adventures, both on Homeworld and on Earth.
Boats and Birds: More of the relationship between Emerald and White Diamond.
Yeah, Red Coral's a little surprised at that one .
"He's..drowning me?"
"It's just a dream, it doesn't mean anything."
"but look at how happy he is! that's the biggest i've ever seen him smile!"
"IT'S JUST A DREAM, RED CORAL."
Weston school antics: Gregory draws other students a lot, and yes, nudes included. Cheslock snuck a look through his art book once and was scarred. Greenhill is an animal lover and will cross the street to pet a dog. Redmond is embarassed of his uncle and hates his coddling. Joanne has a pet turtle named Bronte. Maurice once tried to humilate him in front of other students in the lunch room. "What's the difference between you and Bronte? At least Bronte comes out of her shell!" Cheslock was PISSED He grabbed Maurice by his collar and shook him. "WHAT DID YOU SAY YOU LITTLE SHIT!?"
Maurice screamed like a T Rex to get a reacher's attention Cheslock got detention, Maurice got a stern-talking to.
Lawrence studies with the door shut and he hisses at anyone who tries to interrupt Clayton drinks a lot of coffee before studying
I got some ideas with White Zirconia and Pearl. Basically, you said he gaslights, right? Master manipulator. So let's say Pearl screws up, and she's punished for it, and the whole time he's berating her on how its her fault and if she didn't mess up all the time he wouldn't have to punish her, because he 'hates' doing that. Then he probably brings up all the privileges she might have as his Pearl that other Pearls don't get the luxury of having, like intermingling with other gems in her free time instead of constantly being at his side?
Yeye! A sort of "I treat you so well, yet you're never happy. You're such an awful Pearl; you never even laugh or smile". So basically, you got it 100% right! Also, the Distortionist isn't my headcanon voice, it's just a song that fits WZ really :'D I already told you this, but Tim Curry is my headcanon White Zirconia voice. I don't know why, I just think it fits '-';
I imagine Pearl was at least acquaintances with the other Zirconia's Pearls, who I should probably draw sometime-- maybe even the Diamond's Pearls, too, since Zirconias are so close to the Diamonds. I also like the idea of "Pearl Parties" where a bunch of Pearls belonging to high-ranking Gems can get together and enjoy themselves (while some of the Gems still monitor them, of course). I think that in order to appear normal, WZ probably let her go to at least one.
Also, adding onto that, I have a headcanon about Yellow Diamond's Pearl. During the rebellion, our Pearl wasn't the only Pearl to revolt-- lots of others did. Most were shattered, but some became CGs or simply hid in the colonies. In paranoia and distrust, YD had her original Pearl shattered and had a replacement made, which is why our Pearl didn't recognize her.
pearl parties typically involve live music (i think angelite would serve as the main "musician race" because angels play harps, but if you have suggestions for other musician gems, i'd love to hear!), movie showings (any gem can be an actor, but typically they use obedient gems from a very abundant race or high ranking gems who basically pay for their roles), as well as friendly chitchat and possibly jade massages? yeah.
as for how the pearls act, it really depends on their owner. however, since CG pearl was WZ's, the others would probably treat her really well because they know of the power her owner holds. pearl, i think, would be a little flustered and embarrassed by attention, but it's good to be able to dance and show artwork without having to worry about being blatantly insulted
"You took away everything I had!" Apatite felt his throat tighten, feeling himself tremble. "What more do you want from me!? My position, my friends, Topaz-whatever you want, you already have it! You knew I never stood a chance against you for any of this-"
"That's the sad part." Shifty interjected, leaning over to stare into the other's eyes. "You did once." "It was your decision to let the chips fall where they may. It's your own fault you lost everything."
{Topaz Comic} "THERE HAS TO BE SOMETHING ELSE WE CAN DO FOR HIM!" "He will still suffer! Even if there was a way to make him docile in this state, he'll still be in agony. Putting him down is the only humane thing we can do for him right now."
"BUT HE'D BE AL-"
"You can't get hung up over that! I know he's your best friend, but its cruel to let him suffer!"
Comics: hmmm... topaz with a cracked gem undergoing some severe deformations? given his size, there's plenty to work with :Uc and if you dont mind more suggestions, you could do like a small sidecomic where red coral has to stall apatite outside the infirmary/emerald's room/wherever topaz and emerald are and apatite is getting increasingly frustrated "why won't you let me see him!?"
bumblebee agate, dragon's vein agate, fire agate, olive fire agate, montana agate, moss agate, cotton candy agate,
and the bonus panel(s) are" Everyone comes out of their trance-IT WAS ALL RED DIAMOND'S DOING!! Everyone just tackle-hugs Topaz, he had no idea what made them so upset FLASHBACK ON WHY SHE DID IT:
-Apatite disturbed RD to deliver a message and didn't apologize enough -Red Coral beat one of her Red Corals in a tournament and got catty about his victory -Angel Aura crashed into Red Zirconia while flying, helped them up and flew off, no apologies. Got lost in thought, didn't realize. -Emerald: UFOLOTUS: maybe he was fixing up one of the Gems in RD's Court, and he came off as rude to them, so the Gem tattled even if Emerald wasn't actually being rude, when you're a patient undergoing surgery, anything the doctor says can be taken the wrong way

A Bank Holiday
Monday 1 May 2017
11.40am
I am on a train heading towards Farringdon for the annual May Day rally. Â I try to make this event every year; a celebration of and for working people. Â The train is the usual for a Bank Holiday heading into London; families, beautiful people in colourful clothes, never-ending chat or earphone silence the most common form of expression.
Yesterday I read a chapter in the book Live Working or Die Fighting by Paul Mason that dealt with the history of May Day; how the American working class took it global after a bloody struggle, as has always been the way for workers in the US. Â From 1869 to Basra in 2006, there is a line that mixes trades, racers and experiences to form a great internationalism. Â I went to see Masonâs new play Divine Chaos of Starry Things at the White Bear yesterday.
I get off a Farringdon and head for the history-soaked Clarkenwell Green. Â The gathering is in full swing already, with groups from all over, banners and unions representing, new groups of workers finding their feet in this vicious world of insecurity we see today, where you are almost punished for going to work much of the time and sometimes are. Â Small bands play, drummers drum and the odd individual with their own little speaker system read out their latest passionate review of the state of the world.
The biggest banner is being held by the Communist Party of Great Britain (Marxist-Leninist, probably) and features a picture of Joseph Stalin. Â Of course this will no doubt show up on the news feeds and social media of the cunt brigade as some example of how we trade unionists, socialists, anarchists and general good people are all really a front for this bunch of wankers and their thirty year hangover. Â No doubt we will be accused of supporting mass murder again. Â Along with Class War, the left-over Communists are a pain for those of us who believe in real progress, a bunch of children believing in the impossible so they never have to fail to achieve it, or worse actually win and then need to back it up. Â They have however been watching the far right playbook and brought more flags to make up for their lack of numbers.
The rest of the turn out is more sound, with a good few familiar faces. Â The Ritzy Living Wage campaign is in attendance, along with the Picturehouse crew. Â Both groups have conducted very inspiring campaigns for better pay and treatment in their workplaces. Â Most of the bigger trade unions are here of course. Â The Anarchist Federation have a big old banner too.
The Marx Memorial Museum is open again, with cheap tea and cakes and books, plus you can use the toilet facilities. Â Last year we took the tour around the building; fascinating place with a great archive. Â I was wandering around the book stalls on the ground floor when the call goes up that the march had set off, so no time for another cuppa.
1pm
Pulling out of Clarkenwell Green, in a sea of colour and joy; we are joined by Turkish union representatives, reminding us of the sorry state their country finds itself at present. Another part of the world where it has become dangerous to think differently or disagree. Â Individuals are marching too with the odd sign calling for the end of austeriy, end of war funding and increase of justice.
We walk towards Holborne, past Red  Lion Square and the Unite the Union building; past Holborne station where a few years ago we stood and blocked the leader of Hungarian fascist group Jobbikâs from getting out of the station to go and lead a hate speech meeting.
I see Peter Tatchell walking with an anti-cuts sign. Â I did not tell him I think he is a sell out slag; after all why would he care? Â He is a little bitch these days but he has stood up more bravely than me and suffered a serious battering or two. Â I will stand resentfully in his aura instead.
There is a contingent of cleaners here, always good to see the under-represented out in the street. Their signs talk of them being cleaners, not sex workers; foreign-born recruitment is high in this sector, which sadly often means sexual harassment is high too. Â The process of dehumanisation often means foreign-born people doing low-status jobs are thought of as objects by the rich and over-privileged.
We walk past the LSE and it start to rain, only a little shower. Â I see a couple of ladies with a Uruguayan flag. Â The drums are echoing over the precession. Â I keep getting ahead and have to drop back to feel the warmth of unity among people who know where they are going and have no illusions about their identity.
1.45pm
Entering Charing Cross as passers by stare and film and snap pictures, as this is all they can manage. Â Along this road we see the homeless in force. Â Ever since I was young there were people trying to live along this stretch. For a while there seemed to be less, but they are back now for sure; more people than before. Â All this looks pretty pointless to them no doubt, but I would argue they would be best served joining in (if only I was ballsy enough to talk with complete strangers and make my case).
We get into Trafalgar Square. Â The sound system is set up for speeches at the foot of Nelsenâs Column and we are welcomed by a speaker. Â There are a few people in the Square milling about as ever. Â A group of four kids take the piss out of the Communists as they walk by, like they have any idea what their ideology is about. Â Twatty little suburb boys of a type I have always hated. Bet they grow up to work in The City, if it still exists by the time they do (of course their type rarely grow up). The price for the toilets has gone down to 20p â sure it was 30p before. Â The power of the consumer demand no doubt, or just too many people pissing against the door.
I do not stick around Trafalgar Square for the speeches, as I do not have time and also, right now I feel a little distant (plus I can get them on Youtube no doubt). Â I had a ticket to see the documentary I Am Not Your Negro at The Lexi in Kensal Rise. Â The words of James Baldwin have great resonance today and not just for black people in America.
When I got home in the evening I signed an email from LabourStart supporting 14 Turkish trade union leaders; plus the Kazakhstan impendent oil workers who have been arrested, both groups targeted for their independent trade union activities. Â
I have to go to bed but I do not want to. Â I want to stay up and write; to delve into everything written above and rewrite it until it reads like something good. Â I want to stop working so I can write about work. Â I want to listen to records and write about why I think they are so good. Â But all this does not matter. Â It has never really mattered what fuckers likes me want; that is not a freedom we are afforded often. Â We do what we have to and try to squeeze any small amount of notion of freedom and choice out of the situation.
Happy International Workers Day.
