The point is to prolong it and bleed Russia dry // this is a very strange opinion. Russia is not trying to end it. Russia is most interested in prolonging it. The attack on Ukraine is an attack on the west primarily in russian media, so in russian propaganda. They are fighting the proxy war, sure. But that doesn't make it so. The fact that they view it like that just supports the point that they view an independent state and people who live there as void of their own political agency or right to live, if we are being honest. Anyway... it is sad. Proxy war is such a disturbing lacuna that people fall for or using staregically when their opinions are formed and they are not opened to learning about the conflict they don't understand.

I find your argumentation very strange as well.

Proxy wars are geopolitical reality, not a fantasy. Accordingly, I do not see how you can possibly equate the notion of proxy wars with lacunae on my part.

The war has stalled and it is not progressing the way that the US and the EU planned. That does not mean that they would not prefer to see it going on for years. Putin hoped it would be done in the matter of weeks. Both of them have their own delusions.

Syria was very much a proxy war between the US and the Russian federation, fought on Syrian soil and to the immense detriment of Syrian civilians.

Frankly, civilians are all that I care about, ever since I have been a stateless refugee. I do not have any sentimentality about any professional army in the world.

I do not believe in nation-states, nor do I belong to one.

I do not believe that there is such a thing as "the West," nor have I ever felt protected by the NATO. Conversely, I deeply dislike and mistrust the way that Russian influence has spread in some parts of the Balkans. I am disgusted that they elevated the Romanovs to saintly status. I hate their racism against Central Asians and people from the Caucasus.

Yes, you can say that I am cynical. I am. I do not see any humanitarianism or idealism or either side.

I only see civilians suffering and dying for nothing, and I do not believe that "the West" gives a damn about Ukrainian lives (nor does Putin). Cheap labour and cannon fodder.

I’m thinking of the Ot3 again, and I saw the thing with Starline writing his Eggman fic post on your blog, and now I’m imagining Thunderbolt finding out about them in some way.

Like, there’s this tumblr user that she adores because they post these Eggman X Reader fics, but one day Starline finds her reading the blog, and she starts freaking out but then Starline asks her if she’s the one that keeps requesting the “Eggman comforts reader after bad day” fic. Starline then opens up a document on his computer, showing a very messy outline for said fic.

Thunder is both shocked and thrilled at this

omggg they would totally bond over fanfic writing!

And once they both find out who they are online, they skip that request process and just sit together to brainstorm ideas for new Eggman x Reader fanfics for hours <3! Sometimes they come up with quick oneshots of 1k-3k words, but other times they come up with absolutely insanely long stories with multichapters and slowburn akshdajkhkj they LOVE it!

And, as we know, Starline also draws his own doujin (According to Ian in his podcast), so I can see him illustrating their favorite moments of the fics in POV or using a blank character to get a better vision of the scenes x)! But that's only when he has time, since he's a very busy person
