I want to convey my own vision of Spamton and fragments of his story involving Tenna. To me, Spamton is a pushy salesman with narcissistic personality disorder, partially unhinged. I won’t be showing a romantic or intimate storyline — there are plenty of comics like that already, and closeness can also be emotional. I don’t believe Spamton was ever “cute” and simply lost his mind after a phone call. The story will continue. But I might change the way I draw Spamton.
