|| DRABBLE ||

For mine and @unpaidpiper​ ’s Heroes & Villains verse

Peter was hiding from the others laying on the top of the Wakanda Palace with his eyes shut and trying to let himself destress for the first time in the days since they had arrived; he'd been working so hard on getting things ready for people to be able to safely leave and his work things, plus stressing out what what to do about Nettie between? He didn't usually sleep great, but it was even worse than usual right now and he figured that one of the few places most people wouldn't be able to get to him was here.

Apparently Sam had something pretty urgent to talk to him about though because he looked over when he sensed something coming at him and saw the other flying to the building, he rolled over onto his stomach so his forehead was pressed against the roof and put his hands behind his head with a groan. All he wanted was to relax for two or three hours before he had to get back to work, he'd barely gotten forty five minutes though when he spotted Sam and then heard him land on the roof.

"Peter, we need to talk." Peter was ready to defiantly pretend Sam other wasn't there, but when he heard that he realized it must be a serious issue and reluctantly rolled over and sat up to look at the other expectantly. "It's about your friend who you found in the facility."

Peter felt a knot of anxiety for at Sam's words, not sure exactly what he was talking about or how much he knew. "What about him?" The hard tone was unintentional, but he couldn't help it. He knew Sam well enough by now to know the opinion he'd have if he knew what it was Nettie had been doing, and likely would continue when they were all back.

"I was looking through the files we had from SWORD; tell me you didn't know he was The Pied Piper, that weren’t dumb enough not to tell us about that.” Even without seeing the annoyed look on his face? Peter would have been able to tell exactly how annoyed Sam was about this.

“I didn’t tell you because I he asked me not to, and I knew you wouldn’t exactly react great to the news.” None of them knew Nettie, Peter knew that in reality they have no reason to trust his intentions like he did.

“You find out your friend is a Villain and you don’t think that your team needs to know?” Peter tensed at that, before he did checks on the home lives of the kids he took he would have called him the same thing. Even then? Before he found out it was Nettie he probably would have called him the same.

He pushed himself up from where he was sitting and looked at Sam well he pressed a button on his watch and spoke. “Allison, I need you to send the files I have on the kids Pied Piper has taken to Sam Wilson.” He lowered his hand before adding. “If you talk to him about this, and if you call him that when he can hear you... He’s my friend Sam. I know him, he wouldn’t do any of it if it wasn’t to help. I trust him, and if you try and say you can’t trust him your saying you can’t trust my judgment.”

He didn’t bother letting Sam have a chance to talk, going and hopping off the roof as the nanotech in his watch shifted into a webshooter and he used it to make sure that he lowered safely to the ground.

“The hell was that reaction, kids just as dramatic as his Dad was.” Not 5 seconds after Sam’s comment Scott appeared and caused him to jump slightly before he said. “Man, how many times do I have to tell you not to do that Scott.”

“I can’t help it Cap Jr, when you said you were going to go talk to Peter about it I figured I should tag along. Changed into the suit and climbed on well you were figuring out where he was and putting the wings on.” Scott told him before adding. “Honestly I’m surprised that he just left like that, I was afraid things were gonna go down with that look on his face when you said ‘villain’.”

“Scott, something you wanna actually say or can we go now?” Sam was clearly getting somewhat frustrated with the conversation, which probably had to do with hating when the other called him ‘Cap Jr’.

“I mean, Peter hasn’t said anything to me about it but? I’ve seen him with this look on his face a couple of times when he looks at the guy just in the time we’ve been here, I’m pretty sure he’s completely head over heals for him.” Even though Scott hadn’t exactly asked Peter about it? The looks he’d seen Peter giving Nettie when he didn’t think anyone was looking and the way Shuri was acting when she met him on the Quinjet?

Not to mention how off he'd seemed right after the mission. Scott watched Sam’s face shift from annoyed and frustrated to annoyed, frustrated, annoyed and understanding when he explained. “Great, so Peter’s got a case of puppy dog eyes for a guy who steals kids.”

“I mean, do we know it’s that simple? Why don’t we take a look at whatever files he told that handy dandy AI or his to send you? I call shotgun!” Before Sam could even reply Scott shrunk down and climbed up so that he was clinging onto the pack that held Sam’s wings.

“No wonder Steve retired, this team’s gonna drive me into an early grave.” And with that he drives back off the building and glided back towards the Quinjet he'd just come from.

“Sorry I just kinda walked out like that, I haven’t done the science thing in a while so I didn’t want to be in the way and I uh…it’s been awhile since I did the hero thing.” Officially as Spiderman that is, some people might try and argue that he’d never really stopped.

I assume that at least a couple people have noticed that I’m archiving this blog but I’m just making a new one with the same url so lmfao

I’m gonna go through and revamp my info but it’s really not gonna change much of anything when it comes to how I play Peter and it’s not gonna effect any plots I have going, if I think it’ll effect our plots I would message you about it. I’ll make an official promo once the blog is 100% set up, but till then the URL is still spideystark

I already have ideas for how to enact the plots of no way home into my AU, however I am likely going to wait to make a post until my laptop charger gets here so that I can put it under a read more.

A couple people have already messaged me about doing role plays based on the movie, I am going to wait till tomorrow to message anybody about it because I really actually do need time to digest that absolute monstrosity. It was a great movie! I loved it! But as most people probably suspected from the trailers that we've seen a lot happened 😂

10 minutes in and I've already had to pause to scream about six times, this will be the only post that I make Well watching the movie. However know that I will likely be doing role plays based on it with anyone who seen it and wants to and it will be tagged with "#NWH RP" so make sure to block that tag if you don't want spoilers.

"Make sure you get a good one, not all springs are created equal even in bike bells." Peter's first thought with 'bike' tended to be 'bicycle' because he himself had only been on a motorcycle maybe 3 times in his life, and that was back in high school after the lie about him being a Stark Intern started so that him and his father would have an excuse if they were caught in public together. Steve had given him a ride to the tower a couple of times with the excuse of Happy being busy and Tony asking him to pick him up, all three times it happened he could practically see Flash fuming.

"Yeah, I figured that out I just... It made me think that maybe there was a chance that the reason you said that..." He was about to start rambling again, he could feel it. "I wanted to make sure that you knew without thinking I was kidding that I have feelings for you Nettie, and if you don't that's fine. I never pushed you knowing or realizing that's what I was trying to say because being your friend is more important to me, but after everything that happened I just...felt like I need to make sure you were at least aware."

“You’d have to get a new wardrobe to fit the hipster aesthetic, maybe start riding a bike everywhere.” He couldn’t help laughing at the mental image of Nettie dressed as a hipster wheeling a bike behind the counter of a record shop. Peter took the mug when he held it out to him, talking a sip maybe to soon when he asked what it was he wanted to talk about. He wasn’t exactly worried though, he was sure his tongue would be fine within an hour if that.

“Just uh…” He was wishing now he’d thought more about what he was going to say on the way here. “Well first I didn’t…when you mentioned beshert when we were talking that one time I didn’t know then what it meant and I do now but I don’t know that it means what I…hope it does.”

He was fidgeting with his mug as he talked, stunning the handle from one hand to the other and back again. “I’ve tried talking to you about it a few times and you’ve always seemed to think I wasn’t serious or joking.”

“Sure, let me pull up to the record store and ring the bell on my handle bars to let people know I’m turning right,” Nettie said, flicking two fingers in the air as he mimed the idea of ringing a bicycle’s bell. Like heck would he ride a motorcycle - his poor mother would pull a Fruma Sarah on his backside.

He watched in slight amusement as Peter fussed with his drink, and dropped his hips back against the counter for his own beverage, mug in one hand, the other crossed over his chest as he held his flute. Since his arrest, it had been hard to let go of his only weapon, even now. “Beshert?”

He blinked a bit, not seeing the big deal of it. He even chuckled a bit over his mug, as he didn’t get the fuss of it all. “It means soulmates, that we were meant to meet each other.”

"Yeah no, I get it. Honestly I feel like both groups kinda aren't great in their own way, I'm sure any group has its weak points though." The Avengers could definitely do to ask for help more often, but he didn't really know as much about the Justice League. "But Superman, thats-actually kind of awesome. Scott, I mean Antman, he would lose his mind if he found out I was considering being on a team with Superman's kid."

The ex-con turned hero had been popping in on him once a week since everything that went down, either through video call or actually being in New York because of Hero or Work related reasons. He'd taken to calling them 'The Bug Bros' and if Peter was honest it was kind of nice, the relationship was more older brother than uncle like it was with most of the Avengers. "In a good way I mean, I think he idolizes your Dad just as much as he does Uncle Steve."

Peter could relate even if in a different way, he had a sister now who hadn’t existed before he’d disappeared. He couldn’t help but think if he had been able to just pull that glove off of Thanos hand those two things wouldn’t be the case. “Thats…gotta be kinda weird.” People could change a lot in 5 years, especially at their age.

“I’m not saying I’ll commit for sure to joining but���I’ll consider it, it’d probably be a little easier than working with The Avengers with the age difference. But I don’t want to give you a definite yes until I’ve met some more members.” No team was going to agree on everything all the time, but he’d rather know he meshed at least a bit with the people on the team before he gave a full yes.

“That’s fine.” He says more numb than anything, his mom said that maybe it would be a good idea for him to start a group. Especially since he began to work on his own more and more…becoming…different. His mom described it as him no longer seeing, how there was a darkness in his eyes. So he did. “I guess now I find some new heroes….because everyone I knew is older now. Just letting you know though, my dad is Superman he’s in charge of the Justice League and no offense to the Avengers or anything but…..” He stops himself not wanting to start a fight. 

Especially with a tentative alliance. 

He was going to say though, that at least the League had defeated Darkseid and his people. That if the Avengers had simply let his dad help, none of this would have happened. But because they didn’t think the League was necessary….well…he won’t say it.

"How about instead of playing with things in here, you let me finish up real quick and then we can go somewhere and see something you've been wanting to see. I'm sure there's got to be somewhere right?

“No, don’t touch that!” The last thing he needed was the lab getting covered in web fluid because Dum-E accidently set off a web grenade, even if it likely wouldn’t hurt them and mostly dissolved after a few hours what was left was always a pain to clean up.

"Yeah, that whole thing was..." Peter paused and trailed off for a second, flashes of the fight both before and after the blip going through his head making him quiet for maybe a few seconds to long before he snapped out of it. His usual smile came to his face and he said. "That whole thing was nuts, still weird thinking that I have a sister now who didn't exist just a few weeks ago." Even if he knew that it wasn't actually just a few weeks ago.

"Alright, I just figured it might be easier if your Dad decides he doesn't want me hanging around Oscorp." At the holiday suggestion he vaguely wondered what his family had even done the last few years during the holidays. "But that would be fine if it won't get you into trouble; Aunt May, Happy and Rhodey usually come over for holidays too... Or if they did before, I don't see why the blip would have changed that, and you don't have to worry about Dad. Mom usually make sure he behaves."

Honestly he wasn't sure how to deal with the attention that the media seemed to want to give him, Pepper was beating them off with the stark legal team for now but that wouldn't work forever. "Thanks, and yeah. It'll be nice to just do something...normal." He was kind of floating between the tower and his Aunt May's house because of Tony having moved cause the middle one nowhere while he was gone, it'd be nice to just hang out somewhere like he used to.

Peter hadn’t thought that Harry would really mind so much about the fact that he was Tony’s son, he’d been willing to be friends with him when he’d thought he was no one important; but he’d been a little worried that he might be upset about him keeping something like that from him. “I know I just.. wanted to say sorry for keeping it from you. Ned found out by accident and then I was wanting to tell you and Mj and then everything happened with the Blip.” He was rambling now and he knew it.

“We could always hang out at The Tower instead now that you know… Dad has a whole hang out area on one of the upper levels for if any of the Avengers kids come over.” They’d never really talked much about it but he had a feeling that Norman wasn’t exactly…the best Dad, and avoiding home might be a better option for Harry anyway. “He’s not exactly to thrilled about the fact I’m friends with a competitors kid either to be honest, but he wouldn’t tell me I can’t hang out with you.” Even if part of that was the fact that Pepper would tell him he was being ridiculous, and that he knows it wouldn’t exactly work.

“Yeah it’s…I’m not gonna lie, it was easier when people didn’t know.” 

“i don’t remember much about around the blip anyway.” harry was sure that even if peter had told him, the fluffiness of his brain after what had happened wouldn’t have allowed him to remember it. harry shrugged his shoulders for a moment. sometimes, secrets were supposed to be kept. of course, he knew that better than anyone else. the secrets of oscorp tower and osborn manor weren’t something he ever wanted other people to find out, but the blonde shook his head, teeth pressing into his lip slightly 

 “ah, that’s not a good idea for me. um…. dad isn’t in at the moment anyway. so, we can still chill at mine or at oscorp tower! he’s barely there anyway.. menkin’s in control pretty much.” it was far enough away from any traces of the goblin. as far as harry knew. no creeping signs of something that would tear the both of them apart. all harry could do was laugh “grand. i’m not too fond of him having an opinion on me when he doesn’t know me.” conditioning, he supposed. norman did have a specific way of working his way into his head sometimes “maybe, i can come over on holidays and stuff like that. we don’t celebrate christmas anyway.”

 a friendly hand rested on peter’s shoulder “then allow me to be your guide. i can talk you through everything.” harry paused, brows raising “how about after school you come over to the tower? i’ve gotta do some internship stuff anyway.”

Not me realizing that Steve and Bucky would probably not think twice about Peter referring to his Add*rall as M*th because old school medicine was basically just M*th and Cr*ck 😂 I feel like the most they would be is confused, like "Oh I thought they didn't use that anymore, maybe my doctor was wrong?" And Peter just having to be like "No, no. M*th is actually illegal, I take Add*rall."

I'm realizing I don't think I made a post about this, but I have covid and I'm fairly sure at this point that my daughter does so even though I will probably still be active I might vanish occasionally.
