Kanon had enough.

Against Mariem's insisting, the Sea Dragon pushed the nymph to the side, he extended his palm and used Another Dimension on the little brat. He knew that Chibi Pope was a Gemini Saint, so he could get out of the dimension if he wanted to.

Chibi Pope darted back a bit, ensuring it was out of Kanon's reach. It tilted its head at the nymph, curious about how she intervened while the other saints didn't do more than stand solitude in disapproval...no wonder kids were messed up after training for Athena's army. Then, an idea came to mind and the little pope rushed to Mariem's side, hiding behind her legs as if it was scared of Kanon. - Chibi Pope

Kanon was too busy arguing with Mariem that he barely saw the woman's sudden stiffness and the red that lightly coated her face. He was baffled as to why she suddenly tensed.

That was until he glanced down to where Chibi Pope should have been.

Kanon's face showed a certain element of terror at the sight of Chibi Pope clinging to the woman like a child seeking protection behind its mother. However, it was hard to place why he looked horrified at this.

"G-Get away from her!" Kanon barked as he tried to swat the child away. However, his attempts were thwarted as Mariem tried to dismiss the situation in her usual way.

"No, Kanon... It's fine. It's not much of an issue if he needs help."

"It's not fine! Get him off of you!"

"Kanon-"

The chibi made a small noise like a cry, making a show of rubbing at its eye within the helm it wore as if it was wiping away tears, before a tiny grin could be seen on its half-hidden features. The other saints were at its back, so they didn't see the chibi flip Kanon off with both middle fingers to provoke the Gemini. - Chibi Pope

Kanon was not a fool. He didn't fall for the little cry or the way Chibi Pope rubbed his eyes as if brushing away tears. In fact, it got on his nerves. Being socially inept, Kanon paid no mind to the other people around him.

So, when the little bastard flicked his middle finger at him, Kanon almost raged.

He would have strangled the small thing if it weren't for the annoying nymph that snatched his arm just as he bolted.

❝ Let me go! ❞

❝ Kanon! I won't let you hurt the child! ❞

❝ Woman, unhand me! You know damn well better than to get in my way! ❞

To the onlookers, the struggle and growing argument between Mariem and Kanon made it look like a couple having a terrible argument--or, worse. And, unfortunately for the pair, they were too engrossed in their situation to notice the strange and disapproving looks the others were giving specifically to Kanon.

On Kanon’s desk is a present box. It looked innocent, nothing suspicious. If Kanon opens it, there is another box in it. If he opens it, there is another box. In fact, there is a smaller box within each box (so think of Matryoshka dolls but with boxes) and if Kanon continues to open until the end, there is a note inside it. The note transforms into a purple butterfly and exploded into pretty but sticky confetti. (lol yeah this is from Phantasos as a Happy Birthday to Kanon)

     Kanon just returned from a patrol around Atlantis. He had just disarmed and was allowing the stress of the day to roll off his shoulders.

     It was his birthday... But he's long ago opted to forego celebrations. After all, if he didn't have his brother.... well, actually, it wasn't important.

     When Kanon was just seconds from rolling onto the in-wall bed, his attention was caught by something on his desk. The Sea Dragon general cautiously stared at it... Perhaps it was something that stupid nymph left for him?

     Somewhat finding comfort at the thought of that, the man heaved a sigh as he walked past his bed. Then he opened it... just to be presented with more boxes... After about two or three times of this, he started to get annoyed. He knew Mariem loved playing tricks from time to time, but she usually wasn't this annoying.

     When he finally got to the note, he didn't have enough patience to read it when it suddenly transformed into a butterfly and exploded.

     He would be a liar if he said that the sudden explosion didn't startle him. He was unprepared - stiff from the shock that he didn't really realize the sticky confetti plastering itself to his face, arms, and hands like glue... It was everywhere.

     The door to his private chambers creaked open, and Mariem peeked curiously while saying,

❝ Is everything alright? I heard you scream...?❞

     When the nymph saw Kanon's sticky situation, she had no intention to restrain her laughter, causing the sticky Hellene to pass her a glare.

     Oh... he'll get this woman back... along with the asshole that pulled this prank on him...

Happy Birthday, Kanon! (From Amy) If you did open up all the boxes, here is some water and towel to clean the confetti off of yourself.

     Kanon was too busy getting cleaned up that he didn't realize that he was wished a happy birthday. No, instead, he was scowling at the sticky mess coating his body, the floor of his chambers, and the desk... Meanwhile, his assistant was snickering shamelessly at him as she started to wipe down Kanon's hands and arms with the damp towel.

❝ Okay, Kanon, let's take off your clothes. ❞

❝ ...No. Just wipe it down. It's not that bad, really. ❞

❝ You need to take a bath, silly. ❞

❝ Then get out. I can undress by myself. G-Get your hands off my shirt, woman! ❞

     Kanon and Mariem continued to bicker about stripping, but after he's cleaned and his clothes freshened, he'll come back and give stiff 'thank-you's to Amy while asking how he can get Phantasos back.
