It's been nearly two weeks (somehow) since this monstrosity of a quilt was finally finished, and I wasn't able to get the BEST photos of it (it was too big and too heavy to hang up how I'd planned...) but here are the fullest and best examples of the final result..!
In regular light, with blacklight on, and the glow charged with the lights OFF!
This thing was... a journey, and one hell of a learning experience, but I'm overall happy with how it turned out. I am also very, VERY glad to be done with it lol

Artist's Website
In love with this fussy cut Le Moyne star from quilter Timna Tarr. It's so fun... and explosion of trout and salmon on a green background that makes me think of old hunting lodges.
Tarr has some amazing animal quilts in the gallery on their website, so I very much recommend checking it out. The artist also offers some online classes.

In your mead episode Hazel mention working on a quilt inspired by the Pillars of Creation. Is there any chance we might be able to see that piece?
Ok so it's mostly colour inspiration really, I like to have an image to go from when choosing colours cause I'm not confident with it. These are the main rosettes I have so far and my background will be a plain midnight blue. Found some fun fabrics!

Nearing the finish line on diamond number five. I will have to lay it out on the lounge room floor as soon as I’m done. I will take photos so stay tuned for an update. I am still not sure how I am going to square it up. I’m just focusing on finishing the diamonds.

Star #5/15 is added to the night sky!
"Are you going to post every single star???" Yes. Yes I am. Helps with my motivation 😅 God knows I need it. Anyone else struggle with...doing anything at all?
