there's a gif going around of a guy tearing a nazi flag. and ig it's cool but im tired of fictional usamerican movies abt the german occupation so here are two examples of real historical anti-nazi actions in Warsaw:

1944, Warsaw Uprising (not the same as the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising). Stanisław Bala "Giza" takes down the nazi flag from the Polish bank

1942, drawn by a scout. i think i don't have to explain

similar to the painting above, the slogan "Nur für Deutsche" ("only for Germans") was being written on lampposts as a threat (yk, hanging). it came from the same sentence being used by the german occupation to indicate a place was segregated and exclusive to Germans

such actions are examples of "little sabotage", which included smaller actions like graffiting, flag tearing, disrupting german events – done by young people, many of whom died in armed fighting against the german occupier
