Winx & Specialists Dynamics that are so Precious to me

it makes sense that in the show, winx and their non-boyfriend specialists don’t interact much. but!! i’m very insane about codependent found families, and I want them all to love each other. so here’s my take on some tet-a-tet dynamics:

rare pairings:

Musa & Timmy: childhood frenemies. they used to go to the same middle school on Melody, and as type-A tweens do, had an intense, “you’re the only person I match myself to” kind of rivalry. they lost contact after Timmy moved away, chilled out considerably, reconnected in Alfea and had a wonderful banter-filled friendship since. because of how fast they slotted back into a friendship, some of their classmates genuinely thought they were siblings.

Tecna & Riven: got up from a rough patch. from “I dislike you but we both love Musa, so we have to be civil” to “you have more depths to you than I expected” to “now that I understand you, I can’t help but admire certain things about you” to “bitch, you are the only person who is as weird and clueless as I am, ARE YOU READY TO GO TO THE ARCADE AND ANNIHILATE KIDS FOR SHITS AND GIGGLES”

Flora & Brandon: little sister, older brother vibes. of similar temperaments and views, they enjoy spending time over a cup of tea — talking about everything and nothing. it’s therapeutic, almost.

(no one in the group knew that Brandon and Flo were good friends. once, when the two had to team up during a mission, Bloom couldn’t even finish saying: “it would be a good opportunity for you to get to know each ot-“, before the specialist-fairy duo were re-creating the most complicated and choreographed hand shake ever. jaws were on the floor.)

Aisha & Brandon: they are sporties, and they like doing sport things together! they don’t talk aside from exchanging brief encouragements and advice while out, preferring to spend their time in companionable silence. sorta like those dads who never talk to their buddies, but somehow have the strongest and longest bonds ever?

Helia & Bloom: artist besties. Bloom drags Helia out on picnics, where they practice observational drawing (and tiktok trends that Bloom desperately wants to reenact but none of the winx are good at arts); Helia responds by taking her out to see art museums in Magix. it’s a fun dynamic of Bloom being the bubbly gold retriever, and Helia being her black cat.

Tecna & Sky: they didn’t have much of a relationship until year 4. somehow, they both got really, intensely into weaponsmithing and built a joint workshop. they found that they enjoy working alongside each other and value each other’s insights. sky goes to tecna when he needs frank, un-sugarcoated advice, and tecna accompanies sky on hikes and other spirited adventures, for “bonding activities” (because he told her she doesn’t get out of her comfort zone enough). it’s a relationship of deep mutual respect.

Sky & Stella: childhood friends. they knew each other as children and enjoyed playing together (which is how Stella also knew Brandon pre-Red Fountaine). at least, until Stella was unofficially banned from Eraklyon because shenanigans, and they lost contact. they still jokingly call each other “My Lady” and “My Lord”.

Stella & Nabu. Both are flirty and extroverted people, who enjoy the spirit of showmanship. They have a friendly rivalry going of who can fluster the villain of the week the fastest.

canon bf-gf dynamics (dating in canon, open to interpretation otherwise):

Bloom x Sky: liked each other since the first meeting; bonded over being the friend group moms. (on unrelated note: bloom gentle parents her friends, while sky goes all exasperated cig mom on his team and repeats things like: “you better go to sleep right now, or so help me Dragon I will take away your Owl pilot privileges-“)

they are not the most outwardly affectionate couple of the winx, yet they are so wordlessly devoted to each other. sky will follow bloom to the ends of all dimensions, when she gets a calling from powers as mystical as she. bloom will always believe in him and see him as his own man, unlike the many who see him only as his father’s son. they were entwined by fate, long before one had met the other; yet, there’s the trust, the respect, the faith so strong — that could have only come from friendship forged and tested by fire.

Stella and Brandon: the hottest power couple; sole reason behind 60% of all student fairies/specialists/witches queer awakening.

they banter all. the. goddamn. time. these dorks are speaking a whole different language.

they are also most comfortable in each other’s company, being able to be their genuine, less polished selves. stella and brandon are both performers bred and born, playing the roles of a noble princess and a knight. it’s nice, to have a safe reprieve from all that acting.

Aisha and Nabu. their love was one that sneaked up on them. their distance, set by a discomfort at the idea of an arranged marriage, bridged as they transitioned from being reluctant comrades to friendly rivals to unwilling friends to best friends to “if someday the moon calls you by your name, don’t be surprised — because every night I tell her about you”

Tecna and Timmy: partners in crime, ride or die, sunny faith in each other — even when the other person doesn’t believe in themself. I have a whole post about them, go read that ;)

Flora and Helia: they are so. they are. they-

icons. the most romantic couple, the one that sets the standards, the one that gives their friends advice. they are extremely attentive to each other’s needs and tender with each other’s feelings.

flora can recite helia’s poems in her sleep, and trace his drawings with her eyes closed. helia brings mielle presents every time he stops by. flora has tea with helia’s dad every other tuesday; she keeps note of every time helia and saladin are supposed to meet up, to be able to whisk helia away after and distract him from his troubles. helia knows how to care of flora’s plants, and sends her lovingly assorted gift baskets semi-regularly.

Musa and Riven. their relationship is push and pull, is joy then sorrow.

it’s all in a drag of a cigarette, in the vortex of a starless night, in the hoarse laughter. “of all the people in the world, why did it have to be you?” she’ll say and smile.

“ I’m afraid we’re doomed, lover,” he’ll reply, faux-casually, and smile back. both of them will know it’s the truth.

their relationship was not built to last, not for the lack of love or try. maybe they were too similar — both headstrong, unbending, bleeding hearts. maybe they were just different enough not to understand their hurts. nevertheless, it was not built to last — but neither of them would ever bring to regret it. love prevails, no matter in what form in comes, or something like that.

You guys seem to be having issues with your posture out of everything right now, perhaps you are on the taller side and have to lean down, or tilt your head down to see others, or perhaps it’s the complete opposite. I am seeing someone who is struggling with back problems, many of the cards in this spread are holding onto something which is attached to the ground, so you may have a walking stick, or constantly struggle with balance due to pain.

A few of you are sat at your computer for too long, you’re leaning over and messing up your posture. Any of you who are working at computers often, or maybe you’re a streamer or something, make sure to take care of your physical health first, and do hand/wrist exercises, as well as stretches.

Your body is telling you to rest, they’re saying to allow yourself to take a moment off and lean against the wall, or sit down and just let yourself be calmed by the weight of your body being lifted off your shoulders.

There could be a possibility that you need to get something checked out at the doctors, I’m seeing dizzy spells? If you get dizzy when you stand up, I would recommend looking into booking an appointment just to get it checked out, perhaps you will find a cure.

PILE 2

You guys seem to be dealing with a lot physically right now, I’m seeing that your body is begging you to take a break lmao, as if they are trying to tell you that a rest is needed for you to be able to achieve what you want to. I’m seeing a lot of issues, eyes, head, hands, and legs are the main ones for you my pile 2. I see that you are aware of these issues, but you are trying your best to ignore it, as if trying to tell yourself that they are not all so severe and that you are being dramatic, but it seems like you’re not.

I think you’re working hard on something now, and it’s taking a toll on your mental well-being, like if you’re an athlete and in need of working out constantly, it may affect you with the level of pain that you have to deal with due to the aftermath. The back of your legs might be in a lot of pain right now, for this I would recommend allowing yourself to rest up.

Cluster headaches or migraines? Try sitting in a completely blacked out room, only thing to light it will be a red light, and sleep. It’ll help, I promise.

There’s certain sounds that you’re listening to, which are messing with your head, your body is asking you to try some white or brown noise, possibly paired with some theta waves for reparation.

Get yourself outside to enjoy something sporty and fun, I’m heading baseball, basketball, tennis.

You guys are in need of some vitamin D, your body is begging you to get outside and enjoy the sun, you’re nearing summer so I would recommend working out to achieve your summer body goals. Your body is currently rejecting someone, if you constantly feel drained around a certain person, or possibly they’re giving you a headache, or making you sick, that person is who we are talking about. Your body would appreciate if you would let this person go, so you can feel the best once again.

I got the word salad… perhaps eat a salad, whether it’s for health or losing weight, your body is recommending eating better and healthier so you can be the most superior version of you.

Some of you could possibly have a leak or something in your house, there’s a chance that mould could be growing somewhere and it’s making you really tired and fatigued, I would 100% recommend looking into it, even if it’s not a physical thing you can see, it might be growing somewhere unexpected.

Some of you are going through something really rough right now, and you need to allow yourself to mourn this situation, but do not do anything to the point that you are crying yourself until you’re physically drained, make sure to give yourself breaks, and time.

Kusuo Saiki x Reader

Chapter Twelve: Insecurities and Sweets

Summary: Saiki has to unfortunately deal with his crush, now, and (Y/N) is not helping.

“I’m super nervous to go out…” said Yumehara, pulling her towel tighter around herself.

“Don’t worry, Yumehara, you should just have fun!” said (Y/N), patting her shoulder.

“That’s fine for you to say, you look amazing!” cried Yumehara.

“And you look lovely,” said (Y/N). “Right, Teruhashi?”

“Of course,” said Teruhashi, smiling brightly. “Don’t worry, Yumehara. You look great.”

Yumehara sighed and buried herself deeper in her towel. “Just go on without me.”

“Are you sure?” said (Y/N), concerned for their friend. They sat down on the bench beside Yumehara while Teruhashi started walking outside. “I can wait for you and go out with you if you’d feel better.

“Well…” Yumehara trailed off as applause started outside the changing room.

Teruhashi had exited in her pale blue bikini and swim-skirt. “Thanks for waiting!” she said.

The people watching her nearly exploded at her appearance and continued to cheer and clap for quite some time all along the beach.

“Sorry, I had a hard time finding a locker and got caught up talking to Yumehara and (L/N),” said Teruhashi, walking up to Saiki, Kaidou, and Nendou.

“No worries! We didn’t wait at all,” exclaimed Nendou nervously as he blushed.

“That’s right! No worries!” squeaked Kaidou, struggling to get out words.

Saiki said nothing.

Teruhashi’s eyebrow twitched. Tsk. So this level of skin exposure won’t get Saiki to say “oh, wow!” huh?! “Well, then, shall we go? Everyone’s waiting, right?”

“Well, (L/N), Yumehara, and Mera aren’t here yet,” said Kaidou, and Saiki nodded.

“Oh, right, Yumehara is having some trouble…but (L/N) was with her, so they should be out soon,” said Teruhashi.

Inside the changing room, Yumehara was still cowering. “I can’t go out there after Kokomi…” she said.

“Come on, Mera and I will go out with you,” said (Y/N). They smiled. “I promise, it will all be alright.”

“Right!” said Yumehara, summoning her courage. “I look great, and my swimsuit is perfect!”

“That’s the spirit,” said (Y/N) encouragingly. “Come on, Mera.”

“Coming!” said Mera.

All three walked towards the entrance of the changing room and entered the sunlight.

“Thanks for waiting!” said Yumehara, smiling cutely. “I had some trouble finding my towel.”

No reaction from anyone, it was just a regular day despite her yellow swimsuit.

What?! They made it an ordinary scene? Come on, couldn’t you do anything special since it isn’t the anime! Yumehara huffed. At least Chisato and (Y/N)—

“Sorry about that! I’m here,” said Mera. She fiddled with the straps of her school-issued swim uniform. “My swimsuit is a bit small, so I had trouble putting it on.” She smiled, and the boys watching widened their eyes as the usually quiet and unassuming girl was transformed (for them, Mera was always cute) into someone special.

Mera gets a whole sentence about her?! I got two words, “yellow swimsuit!” thought Yumehara. She sighed. At least (Y/N)’s been nice about this whole thing—

“Wow, (L/N), you look great!” said Kaidou, smiling.

“Hey, pinky, you’re wearing pink!” said Nendou.

“Thanks, guys,” said (Y/N), smiling. “I thought it would be fun to wear a feminine swim costume on the trip instead of my usual shorts and t-shirt.”

Indeed, while in the last beach scene they’d worn a men’s swim shirt and swim trunks, this time (Y/N) wore a pink two-piece, with a sporty, pale pink top and bottoms. The straps were red, and strawberries were printed over the fabric. It was a very sweet outfit and very (Y/N)-esque.

Yumehara’s jaw dropped open. Not only did (Y/N) get a whole paragraph to their outfit, the sun was also falling on them in the perfect way to highlight their figure and make them glow with warmth and sweetness.

That’s fine! As long as I can see Saiki’s reaction, I’ll be okay! Yumehara turned towards Saiki.

He was looking directly at (Y/N).

“Strawberries. Nice.” That was all Saiki could manage.

After the realization he’d had at the aquarium, Saiki had shut down for the entire bus ride to the beach. It had taken a very, very long time to process that. Apparently, having feelings were a worse blow to him than discovering he had Saiki powers had been to (Y/N).

And now Saiki had to see them in a cute outfit? Yes, Saiki wasn’t one to care about appearances—and even if he did, he thought (Y/N) looked nice all the time—but after his realization, he was noticing way too much about them. And, unfortunately for him and his sanity, he was noticing that he associated (Y/N) with sweetness and strawberries were sweet and that was cute and—

“Thanks!” said (Y/N), smiling warmly.

Yare yare.

Next Saiki was stuck thinking about their smile, but we won’t write a paragraph on that to spare him and give him some of his dignity.

While her friends hung out in the water, Yumehara curled up in her towel, confidence unfortunately destroyed again.

Okay, fine, it’s over. My school trip is over, okay? she thought despondently.

“Oh? Aren’t you gonna swim?” asked Kaidou.

“No, I don’t feel good, so…” Yumehara trailed off.

(Y/N) frowned from where they were standing in the water. “I wish I could help her confidence…”

“She’s recovered before,” said Saiki.

“In other words, you can’t swim, right?” teased Yumehara, having started talking to Kaidou (he had gone into a tirade about being cursed by Dark Reunion).

Kaidou, poor thing, turned bright red. “Th-Th-That’s not true!”

Did he blush when he saw my swimsuit?! He did, didn’t he?! Yumehara brightened triumphantly. He’s even looking away! So cute!

“Wow, she’s already recovered,” said (Y/N), smiling.

“She thinks he thought she was cute,” said Saiki.

“Whatever works,” chirped (Y/N). “As long as she cheers up, that’s good.”

“Kaidou!” called Teruhashi, running up. “Did you see a ball come this way?”

“N-N-No, I didn’t!” squeaked Kaidou, overwhelmed. He rolled backwards in panic.

He rolled backwards three times?! Poor Yumehara’s confidence took another blow. I can’t believe how much of a difference there was in his reaction…

Saiki furrowed his brow in irritation. (Y/N) noticed and cocked their head.

“You alright?” they asked.

“This is as much of a pain as I anticipated,” said Saiki. Hearing everyone’s current dilemmas was going to give him a headache.

Someone, please say I’m cute… thought Yumehara.

“Hey, she’s cute!” said a new voice.

She whirled around eagerly, but the fantasy was broken as two older boys walked past her towards Teruhashi. (Y/N) frowned as they noticed them. The way they leered felt wrong.

“Hey, you there,” said the first man.

“Whoa, check you out!” said the second. “How about the three of us go get some shaved ice?”

What? This is a joke, right? Are they really hitting on me…? thought Teruhashi.

“Hey, what’s the problem? Let’s go,” said the first.

Just how dense do they have to be to think they’re in my league? thought Teruhashi. I know I’m really cute, but this is beyond reckless! It’s not that they have guts, they’re just plain dumb.

“Are you nervous?” said the second.

“I don’t like the look of those two,” said (Y/N), frowning in concern.

Saiki looked over. That got his attention since (Y/N) never disliked people. The only person they had was Makoto (for obvious reason) and now these two.

“Okay, let’s go, it’s decided!” said the first man, reaching for Teruhashi’s wrist.

“That’s it, I’m going to help her,” said (Y/N), walking out of the water.

“Be careful—” Saiki didn’t want those men to hurt them. If they tried anything, Saiki was stepping in.

“Hey, you two!” said (Y/N). “Get away—”

“Get off her!” said an unexpected voice. Kaidou moved between the men and Teruhashi and threw out his hands. “She doesn’t wanna go! So beat it!”

“Huh?!” said the men angrily.

“Oh?” said Saiki in surprise.

“Who the hell are you?” said the first man angrily.

Kaidou wilted but tried to keep his courage up. “W-Well…She doesn’t want to go, right? So…”

“This is none of your business, got that?!” snapped the second man.

“Uhm, I’m her classmate, so…” Kaidou trailed off nervously, but his heart was still there. “If you don’t cut it out, I’m gonna get, um, serious…”

“Huh, what’re you mumbling about?” sneered the first.

“Leave them both alone,” said (Y/N), walking towards them.

Saiki took a step towards the group. If anything were to happen, he’d step in. Just for (Y/N), the others could mostly figure it out for themselves.

“Yeah!” said Yumehara, stepping up with (Y/N). Two versus two. “We’re on a school trip, and if you keep causing trouble, we’ll get the teachers.”

“Huh?! Don’t get cocky with us!” said the first man again, leering over Yumehara and (Y/N).

“Get lost, you dumb broads!” said the second.

Poor Yumehara wilted at the criticism, her self-esteem damaged once more. (Y/N) just glared, knowing those two were just idiotic men (the two words went hand in hand often).

“So just get out of the way,” said the first, moving to shove (Y/N) out of the way.

“Yeah,” sneered the second, moving to push Yumehara away.

Wham!

Whiff!

“Don’t ever try to hurt people,” said (Y/N), glaring at the man they had punched to the ground.

Saiki, who had raised his hand to do something to protect (Y/N), blinked in surprise. He hadn’t expected that. Still…at least they were alright. That’s what mattered to him.

“You bastards! Apologize to Yumehara and (L/N)!” said Kaidou, glaring at the man he’d bunched. “What do you think you’re doing?! Just apologize to them!”

The man he had punched frowned and touched his cheek. “That didn’t hurt at all!”

Unsurprising, thought Saiki.

“It looks like you got a bug bite,” said the other man, frowning. “Why’d you get hit by the weakling?!” He hadn’t gotten as lucky.

“I’ll show him weak!” said the man hit by Kaidou, lifting his arm again.

(Y/N) curled their hand into a fist, preparing to hit the other guy, too.

Saiki reached out and squeezed his pointed finger and thumb together.

“Ow!” cried the second man, holding his cheek as the pain began.

“It hurts now?” said the first man, frowning. “Ow!” His cheek began to thrum with even more discomfort than before.

(Y/N) tilted their head in confusion as the two men ran away in fear of the pain before looking back towards Saiki. Upon seeing his raised hands, they smiled and nodded to him.

Saiki had to admit, he didn’t like his attention for his abilities, but seeing (Y/N)’s approval…well, he wouldn’t say no to it.

Beside (Y/N), Kaidou turned to Yumehara. “A-Are you okay? They were really rude.”

Yumehara just blushed and imagined something very different as he spoke to her. (Along the lines of: you’re so cute, Chiyo).

Kaidou! He’s so amazing! thought Yumehara.

In no sooner than a moment after being “rescued” by Kaidou, Yumehara had developed a massive crush on him.

Good job, Kaidou.

Saiki wasn’t sure feelings were supposed to come about so quickly, but he knew he wasn’t the norm. And, hey, Kaidou had done the right thing.

“Thanks for that,” said (Y/N), smiling at Saiki. “We needed the help.”

“I don’t think you did.” (Y/N)’s right swing was surprisingly formidable.

“Maybe, but it was still nice of you to step in,” said (Y/N). “Thanks, Kusuo.” They grinned. “I’ll buy you a sweet for your troubles.”

(Y/N)’s praise and sweets? Saiki thought that was a perfect exchange.

“Come on, Mera, Teruhashi, Yumehara,” said (Y/N), trying to get their friends’ attention. “We have to meet up with the boys at that café.” They wanted to make sure they didn’t fall behind. (Mostly because they had seen Saiki eying a dessert on the plane ride, so (Y/N) thought treating him to that would be a good “thank you” for the previous day).

“I can stay back with Mera if you two would prefer,” said Teruhashi graciously. “I know you’re friends with them, (L/N), and Kaidou hasn’t gone far, yet, Yumehara.”

Said girl went bright red. “What?! Wha…What? Why?! Kaidou?!”

“Oh, I’m sorry, I thought you might have a crush on him,” said Teruhashi.

She definitely does, thought (Y/N).

They looked back at the boys and frowned. Saiki was nowhere to be seen. Evidently, he’d decided to leave behind his usual bothers to try to get to the sweets. (Y/N) chuckled fondly and shook their head in amusement. Saiki had his mind on treats and only on treats.

Ah, well. I’ll just make sure we get there and pay before he does, thought (Y/N).

“Am I making it that obvious?” said Yumehara, nearly melting from how red she was.

“Ah, I’m sorry! I won’t tell anyone,” said Teruhashi. She glanced nervously at (Y/N). “And I’m sure (L/N) won’t.”

“You can count on us, Yumehara,” said (Y/N) brightly.

“Good, because I also know who you like, Teruhashi!” said Yumehara. She glanced at (Y/N). They might like Saiki, but I have no idea…

Teruhashi turned red and waved her hands in front of herself. “Ah!K-Keep it to yourself, okay? We’ll all keep each other’s secrets!” She glanced at (Y/N). Especially since they might like Saiki, too.

(Y/N) remained blissfully unaware of the two girls analyzing (Y/N)’s feelings. “Sounds good to me.” They grinned. “We’re friends.”

“Right,” said Yumehara, smiling. “But, anyways, I don’t think we should split up.”

(Y/N) nodded in agreement. “After yesterday, I think we should stick together.” They laughed. “And Mera can grab more free samples from other shops as we go.” They sweat-dropped as they saw the current staff-owner trying to pull Mera away from the samples.

“Oh, also, isn’t it about time for you two to start calling me by my first name?” said Yumehara. “After all, we’re friends, and last names feel so formal! So you both can call me Chiyo, alright? We’re good friends now, Kokomi, (Y/N)!”

“O-Okay, Chiyo,” said Teruhashi.

“Right, Chiyo!” said (Y/N). “And you both can call me by first name.”

“You can do the same for me!” said Teruhashi, deciding to take a chance and get closer to her two friends.

“How sweet,” said Mera, but she was only talking about the samples she was devouring.

(Y/N) shook their head in amusement and grabbed her wrist. “Come on, Mera, we’re going to a café, so you can get more there.”

“Oh, great!” said Mera brightly, letting her friends steer her out.

“Hey, where’d Saiki go?” said Kaidou, looking around in confusion as he and Nendou finally noticed Saiki’s absence.

“Buddy?! Where are you?” called Nendou.

“Follow me,” said (Y/N), gesturing to everyone.

“You know where Saiki is?” asked Teruhashi, surprised.

(Y/N) laughed. “Kusuo’s pretty obvious.”

Everyone else sweat-dropped. Saiki was not.

…

Wait, Kusuo?! thought everyone (minus Nendou).

“I would’ve thought Kusuo would be here by now,” said (Y/N) as they sat down with their friends. They had all ordered the same dish and were just waiting for Saiki.

The bell on the door rung as Saiki walked in.

“Hey, pal!” said Nendou excitedly.

“We’re sitting here!” said Yumehara.

“Hi, Kusuo,” said (Y/N).

“Where have you been?” asked Teruhashi.

“I’m surprised that you found us,” said Kaidou.

“Now everyone in our group is here,” said Mera cheerfully.

I knew it before I opened the door, thought Saiki.

“Welcome!” said the waiter. Saiki pointed to what he wanted on the menu. “Oh, the Red Bean Coffee Anmitsu? I’m sorry, but we sold them all to those customers over there.”

On cue, the group’s orders were brought out.

Saiki stared. Wait, they only serve six a day, so…Yare, yare, so this is the ending, huh?

“Kusuo,” called (Y/N). “Come sit with us. You can have mine. Remember? I owe you.”

Saiki stared and felt his admiration for (Y/N) grow hundredfold.

“We can all share,” said Nendou.

“Good idea!” (Y/N) smiled at the waiter. “We’d like another bowl and spoon, please.”

Saiki sat down and stared in amazement as his friends gave him large amounts of their sweets until he had the biggest portion out of all.

“Looks like you got even more than you would’ve before,” said (Y/N).

“Let’s chow down!” said Nendou. “This’ll be the last memory we make on our school trip.”

“Right!” said everyone, digging in.

Saiki lifted his spoon and smiled as he looked out at everyone. This isn’t so bad.

Raising an eyebrow, you were unsure of who the boy on the screens was. Slightly squeezing your eyes, you tried to recall his face somewhere among the 299 boys that were shown and mentioned in a meeting a few weeks ago. Minutes passed by as you searched through your memories, but nothing came to mind. With a simple shrug, you turned around, and made your way to the managers’ room.

“Please let me get someone nice!”-you muttered, holding the new schedules and uniform Anri just gave you.

Jingo Raichi, who you were quick to find based on his voice’s volume alone that could be even heard from the last of the benches on the field. Immediately spotting the golden-haired, you quickly jogged your way down, calling his name and preparing yourself for a brief introduction. All while he was loudly explaining something to one of his teammates, only noticing you minutes later, jumping a little from the sudden appearance of a girl. Surprise, perhaps embarrassment was displayed on his face since his new manager caught him in a not-so-flattering moment. Moving on from a memorable first impression, he introduced himself, giving you a very firm handshake along with small muttering. “Sorry ya had to see that.” Noticing that he’s actually quite nice, you happily started a conversation hoping to get to know him some more.

•Raichi, who treats you surprisingly well even though the first few days with him are kinda awkward. He, too shy after the first encounter would only manage to ask a few questions and intently listen to whatever you said without a complaint. His teammates would tease him for how silent he was around you instead of his usual self.

•After about a week or two though, he would slowly warm up to you, and from then on it’s a rollercoaster of emotions. You get to see how Raichi is a fierce, maybe too much of a fighter spirit, happily starting or getting into heated discussions and arguments, which honestly, sometimes makes your job just a tad bit harder.

•However, he’s aware of how he’s quite a handful to deal with, and that’s why he tries to restrain his louder self in front of you, hoping it works.

•You do notice this and appreciate the effort, but you reassure him it doesn’t bother you and just be his usual self.

“Maybe try to avoid picking fights with others.”-you say as he nods in agreement, grinning like a child.

•You two share a strong bond of friendship that blossoms through calming him down or hyping him up for matches, and laughing at other players for their stupidity. (you two are such bullies lmao)

•He is also a very sporty guy, with an impressive amount of stamina and strength that could last him all day, yet after the mandatory training hours, he’s out. Just chilling with you, or trying to figure out where you hid those protein shakes. (He does practice overtime on some days just not on a regular basis)

•Teases you a looot, but he’s extremely protective at the same time. If anyone even insults you or DARES to bully you, they’re dead. Don’t mess with his precious manager, cause only he can do that. Everyone is impressed at how you got yourself someone like him

•Raichi among the many traits he possesses like his sexy football, is also very loud. You should have brought earplugs cause 60% of the day usually consists of him shouting at another player for whatever reason it may be, making you the one to shout even louder to stop him. It’s a bit embarrassing when you guys get scolded to shut your mouth, but you love him nonetheless.

•When the U20 announcement came, you saw him excited, practicing harder than ever and even the loud remarks died down a little. So, when it was revealed he wouldn’t be in the starter lineup, you were ready to comfort him.

•However, as always, Raichi manages to surprise yet again. He was hurt of course—you could see it—yet during the match he would shout the loudest on the benches, cheering for the boys, and giving them the extra support and advice they needed.

“You’re not sad?”

“Nah, this just means I gotta work harder, ya dumbass”

AFTER THE U20 MATCH…

•Raichi is HYPED and comes back stronger than ever, ready to improve himself and let the world know his name.

•Your manager position also becomes a more serious job, having to focus on his training schedules, double the amount of paperwork, and making sure he’s fine mentally.

•He’s literally the same before the U20 match, but the teasing seems to have lessened as well as him putting in more effort as a player. However, bullying Igaguri is still one of his favorite things to do during his free time.

•Raichi is also pretty hardworking during tutoring, with him only throwing in a joke every 20 minutes, all while his anger issues with grammatical rules seem to explode each time he studies with you.

•He, who frequently asks you for opinions, check-ups, and discussions making sure you’re involved in whatever he’s planning. Your friendship has also become stronger over the months, with a few stolen glances making their appearance here and there.

•You know he’s trying his best and you will always support him from the sidelines. Does he want that tho? Maybe not from the sidelines he thinks, cause you would look really pretty next to him. (not that you’re not pretty now, just to be clear—)

“choi yeonjun, fighting!” you exclaimed at the nervous boy fiddling with his shoe laces. he had a few minutes before one of his weekly tournament games, yet was glued to your side. he stood up straight and let out a sigh.

softly smiling at your boyfriend, you began adjusting his basketball jersey while he took a few deep breaths. as talented and athletic as he was, he still got so nervous before every game. you made it a point to support him at each match, cheering him on by the sidelines.

you took some time to admire him in his jersey, which perfectly showed off his sculpted muscles. part of the reason you loved watching his games so much was because his flawless figure was on display for everyone to see. yeonjun huffed and snapped you out of your trance.

“you’re gonna do great, you’re the best one on the team.” you said encouragingly, affectionately pinching his cheek. he chuckled and smiled back bashfully, mouthing a “thank you.”

“i got this!” yeonjun chanted to himself, lightly jogging in place and taking a few quick breaths. prepared to return to his team, he kissed you quickly on the cheek and jogged towards the now gathering group across the gymnasium. you situated yourself in your usual spot on the bleachers, with a perfect view of yeonjun whenever he was on the bench.

you knew it was normal for some matches to go poorly, but it was bad this time around. it seemed that team synergy was off and nobody was performing their best - not even yeonjun, who was visibly upset.

you watched your boyfriend worriedly, his coach and fellow teammates looking defeated. apart of you felt a bit useless, as the only thing you could do from the sidelines was cheer loudly alongside other spectators.

down by almost half the points of the opposing team, and seeing your boyfriend so troubled, you decided to take matters into your own hands. you noticed his team start to migrate into the boys’ change room for their short halftime break.

springing to your feet, you quickly walked along the gym perimeter and made a beeline for yeonjun, who was taking his time getting off the bench. as you approached, he looked up and attempted to shoot you a reassuring smile, although you knew he was bothered and slightly embarrassed at his current performance. then, ever so swiftly, you leaned in and pecked him on his forehead in an attempt to lift his spirits. yeonjun’s eyes widened in surprise.

you didn’t plan on keeping him long from his team, and you weren’t even sure if you were allowed on this side of the gymnasium. a short and sweet act of encouragement was all you intended. but it seemed yeonjun had other plans.

before you could even pass him by and get back to your seat, yeonjun grabbed your arm in urgency and pulled you towards him. he lead you to the slightly opened gym storage room not too far away, sneaking the both of you inside.

the storage room was dimly lit and you could only make out a few features of your boyfriends’ face. suddenly, you felt his hands cup your cheeks. he inched his face closer to yours, allowing your lips to meet.

despite being taken aback, you happily and willingly kissed him back. his plush lips were soft and sweet, and you could feel him smile against your lips. then, his hands fell to your waist, as you allowed your hands to roam his already dishevelled hair. this intimacy with yeonjun was pure bliss and you enjoyed every second, but reality settled in and you pulled away quickly.

“oh my god! what if someone sees! is your team looking for you? what about your coach!?” you blurted almost too loudly.

“everyone’s busy doing their own thing, i don’t think they’d notice me missing.” yeonjun laughed as he attempted to pull you close again, obviously still distracted by your lips. you shot him a look.

“im serious, jjun. go back to your team. they need you.” your boyfriend groaned in a way that confirmed your suspicions. “i don’t want you to get in trouble.” you continued.

“you were the one who distracted me!” he argued jokingly as he ran a hand through his hair. he prepared to leave your safe haven in the storage room, and he instructed you to follow a few seconds after. he gave you one last peck and winked as he slipped out and went back to his team.

you didn’t want to claim the team’s comeback as your own doing, but the coincidence was almost comical. you watched in awe as the team continually racked up points in the last two quarters of the game. yeonjun’s energy and vibrancy had returned, moving swiftly and confidently on the court. although they didn’t win this time, they caught up quite impressively with only six points separating them from a win.

unfortunately for the two of you, yeonjun’s short absence during halftime didn’t go unnoticed. even though both his team and coach acknowledged the reappearance of his athletic prowess, they didn’t appreciate the tardiness. after the game, yeonjun was tasked with cleaning up the gymnasium before the caretaking staff arrived. this meant that he had to stay an extra while and the two of you couldn’t go directly back to yeonjun’s place.

“i’ll help you out.” you announced, as you stepped towards the boy picking clutter off the gym floor.

“no no no, i can do this. maybe you should head home first.” yeonjun protested, swiping a bead of sweat off his forehead.

“i was the one who distracted you anyways.” you teased, flashing him a cheeky grin. admitting defeat, yeonjun smiled gratefully.

“lemme just go change out of this uniform. be out in a sec!” he responded, hurriedly rushing back into the change room.

as you waited, you began filing the ball racks back into the gym storage. yeonjun didn’t take very long, returning back in his school uniform, hair still dishevelled. his white button up was messily tucked into his grey slacks and his tie wasn’t properly done up. even though he looked incredibly hot in his basketball uniform, you couldn’t help but enjoy this messy look of his.

and man, did you want to kiss him again.

he let out an exhausted sigh as he made his way towards you. “thank you for helping,” he said quietly. you shot him a meaningful look.

he glanced at you confused. “what?”

you grinned almost deviously, taking his hand and leading him back into the storage room. you yanked at his tie, pulling him closer to you and then pressed your lips together, more eagerly than he did before. yeonjun gasped into the kiss, but settled into it almost immediately.

your eagerness had him pressed up against a storage shelf littered with gym class equipment. you rested your hands around his neck, gently playing with locks of his hair. he held you at your waist, hands occasionally wandering.

each time your lips threatened to separate, they’d be drawn right back together. the soft sounds of lips smacking filled the dull room, and your breaths became increasingly louder.

in the midst of lip-locking, you pulled away to compliment him. “you did so good today,” you breathed out. he kissed you once more.

“i could only do it because of you,” he pulled away this time, before cupping your face again and pulling you deeper into the kiss.

your hands now roamed his messy locks just as you did before, blissfully allowing yourself to indulge in your handsome boyfriends’ plush lips even more.

yeonjun pulled away again, and you almost whined at his absence. but, before you knew it, he started pecking at your cheek and moving downward. he began slowly leaving longer kisses on your neck, and you found yourself needing to stifle any noises.

“not here, yeonjun!” you exclaimed.

“then hurry and help me finish cleaning up.”
