The San Francisco 49ers (also written as the San Francisco Forty-Niners and nicknamed the Niners)[7] are a professional American football team based in the San Francisco Bay Area. The 49ers compete in the National Football League (NFL) as a member of the league's National Football Conference (NFC) West division. The team plays its home games at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, located 38 miles (61 km) southeast of San Francisco. The team is named after the prospectors who arrived in Northern California in the 1849 Gold Rush.[8]
The team was founded in 1946 as a charter member of the All-America Football Conference (AAFC) and joined the NFL in 1949 when the leagues merged.[9][10][11] The 49ers were the first major league professional sports franchise based in San Francisco. They are the 10th oldest franchise in the NFL, and have been family owned and operated exclusively by Italian Americans (Morabito and DeBartolo families, respectively) since the team's inception.[12][13] The team began play at Kezar Stadium in San Francisco before moving to Candlestick Park in 1971 and then to Levi's Stadium in 2014. Since 1988, the 49ers have been headquartered in Santa Clara.
The 49ers won five Super Bowl championships between 1981 and 1994. Four of those came in the 1980s, and were led by Hall of Famers Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, Ronnie Lott, Steve Young, Charles Haley, Fred Dean, and coaches Bill Walsh and George Seifert.[14] They have been division champions 22 times between 1970 and 2023, making them one of the most successful teams in NFL history.[15][16] The 49ers sit alone in NFL history for most playoff wins (38), having been in the league playoffs 30 times (29 times in the NFL and one time in the AAFC), and have also played in the most NFC Championship games (19), hosting 11 of them, also an NFC record. The team has set numerous notable NFL records, including most consecutive away games won (18), most points scored in a single postseason (131), most consecutive seasons leading the league in scoring (4), most consecutive games scored (420 games from 1977 to 2004),[17] most field goals in a season (44), most games won in a season (18), and most touchdowns (8) and points scored (55) in a Super Bowl.[18]
According to Forbes, the 49ers are the sixth most-valuable team in the NFL, valued at $5.2 billion in August 2022.[19] In 2020, they were ranked the 12th most valuable sports team in the world, behind the Los Angeles Rams and above the Chicago Bears.[20] In June 2023, the enterprise branch of the 49ers completed the acquisition of English soccer club Leeds United.[21]

15 asks for 15 mutuals
Thank you for tagging me in the ask game @emmiesims!
1. are you named after anyone?
I am in my middle name. My name is made up of two of my great-grandmother’s names that are hyphenated. Though one of those names was heard wrong. My great-grandmother on my mom’s side often went by the nickname Baby so my mom never really knew her real name all that well so that part of my name is slightly different from my actual great-grandmother’s name.
2. when was the last time you cried?
Probably a few nights ago watching sad videos unless literally cutting onions counts then earlier today while cutting onions for breakfast/lunch.
3. do you have kids?
No but I definitely want them in the future.
4. do you use sarcasm a lot?
I can be rather sarcastic.
5. what sports do you play/have you played?
I am not coordinated in the slightest. Though I have been placed in sports during my obligatory mom signed me up to do sport things ages, lol. So I have done soccer, basketball, karate, gymnastics as a toddler, and table tennis. Nothing lasted more than a few weeks due to very vehement disapprovals from me and the fact that my parents can’t agree on anything.
6. what’s the first thing you notice about other people?
I can usually tell if I’m speaking with another autistic person something about the body language and language choices I guess. But other than that I think it just depends on what kind of interaction I’m having with a person that determines what I pay attention to.
7. scary movies or happy endings?
I don’t really watch movies but it really depends on my mood as to what kind I want to watch because I like scary movies and happy movies though I am more partial to scary movies. Not a fan of jump scares though, just no unless I really know what’s coming.
8. any special talents?
Not particularly.
9. where were you born?
Santa Clara, California.
10. what are your hobbies?
I feel that since this is a sims blog that should be obvious as one of my hobbies lol. I also enjoy cooking and baking. I recently got a pasta maker so I am a happy clam. I’ve also gotten into embroidery, cross-stitching and making little dolls from random unpartnered socks in my house. So socks beware I guess.
11. do you have any pets?
No but I am looking to get one ideally soon, just submitted the adoption application for kittens so here’s hoping I get approved. I love animals but am very allergic to doggos, I will still pet them even if my skin breaks out in hives.
12. how tall are you?
5′1″, I am definitely the shortest adult in my family that’s still alive, my grandpa’s mom was apparently 4′11″. My height isn’t that short until I’m next to my some of my younger cousins, who are now 6′4 and 6′8. I’m still savoring the fleeting joy of being taller than my baby sister who is still pretty young, she’s almost certainly going to be taller than me too but until then!
13. fave subject in school?
I really liked Chemistry and English. I enjoy reading though I haven’t done as much of it lately. Chemistry is fun I even have my AS in it though I don’t really see myself following a career in that.
14. dream job?
I love working with kids and my dream job would probably be to open my own daycare for little ones which is why I have changed my major to early childhood education. That said burnout from college is real so I’m okay with going slower and steady.
15. eye colour?
Brown
I don’t really know who to tag so I’ll leave this open for who ever wants to answer these questions!

Official The Peanuts Movie Characters Pittsburgh Sports It’s The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year 2024 Shirt
Setting up the tree, it always fell over once or twice. Taking the decorations out of the Official The Peanuts Movie Characters Pittsburgh Sports It’s The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year 2024 Shirt to trim the tree was always fun and Tracy would always be lifted up to put the star or Angel at the top of the tree. Dad would pretend she was flying up like an Angel as he lifted her. When we were decorating the tree in our teens, Tracy would tease dad and say, “Ok dad, lift me up.” Mom always liked it when we would hang the decorations we made in school. One of us kids were always a designated Santa who would hand the gifts out to the others just like on the show. Thank God we had no Aunt Clara to give us bunny suits to wear. We had no uncles or aunts at all. Mom and dad were only children. A Christmas Story has been a staple movie for my family to watch every year. It’s warm and homey and just like the Christmases we had. I even wanted a Red Ryder rifle when I was nine.

When it comes to Santa Clara high school football, it’s typically been the Wilcox Chargers who have been the stronger school. However, in this year’s inaugural season of girls’ flag football in the Santa Clara Valley Athletic League (SCVAL), it was the Santa Clara Bruins that were by far the more impressive squad. The Bruins, led by Head Coach Michelle Bumbaca and league MVP Aviana Rangel, shredded their opponents more often than not this season. Read complete news at svvoice.com.

Illustrated Maps: Different Styles, Approaches & Uses
Rod Hunt is a London, UK based map illustrator specialising in detailed illustrated isometric maps and plans for school campuses, theme parks, events, parks and cities.
Style, Approach and Uses of Illustrated Maps
With 30 years experience as an illustrated map designer he’s created maps for clients worldwide including schools, universities, sporting events, theme parks, tourism brands and more. His love of detailed maps was fuelled by theme park and tourist attraction maps from his childhood. Rod's own maps are usually very detailed adding layers of humour and interest often populated with little characters and easter eggs to entertain the viewers as well as inform. Clarity of navigation is essential ahead of the detail, the London Underground Map is great example of distilling a map down to its essential elements by simplifying the geography, it’s often on Rod's mind when working on a visual approach for a new map project.
In this article Rod showcases his various styles and ways of executing an illustrated map suitable for a client's needs. What do you need from an illustrated or pictorial map, is it ease of use as a navigational tool with geographic accuracy, exciting marketing images or a mixture of both? A simpler graphic map or levels of detail and complexity? It's important to understand how the map will be used when briefing a map illustrator to ensure it meets the requirements of its users.
Illustrated Theme Park and Tourist Attraction Maps
Creating a fun and engaging map for your theme park or tourist attraction is very important as it gives it excitement beyond a functional navigational tool becoming a key marketing promotion to instil excitement to potential visitors.
Rod Hunt illustrated the Visitors Map for Chessington World of Adventures Theme Park. The key aims were to simplify the complex layout of the park to create an accurate and easy navigation tool for visitors, to be colourful, fun and appealing to the target family audience and to be easily updatable for the inclusion of future rides and attractions. The rides and attractions were illustrated in a fun and detailed way playing with scale while keeping a level of accurate depiction.

Illustrated Property Development Maps
Rod was commissioned to visualise the different phases of a new properly development for an advertising campaign for Bhartiya City outside Bangalore, India. The property development required a detailed 3D illustrated map using isometric perspective as a key visual to promote the development to potential residents and businesses. Rod worked from a huge amount of architectural drawings of the buildings, 3D renders and site plans of the upcoming phases to create a playful, colourful, green and vibrant place to live and work. Another more architectural approach can be seen in his Battersea Power Station Development Map which gives a neighbourhood overview of the current and upcoming phases of the multi-billion Pound development in London that surrounds Battersea Power Station.

Illustrated Campus Maps and Site Plans for Schools, Colleges and Universities
Schools, colleges and universities can have various needs from an illustrated map or plan, a navigational tool, overview of the campus buildings or a key showcase of facilities. With Rod's illustrated campus site map for Santa Clara University the aim was to highlight some of the significant ways that the campus was transformed with new buildings and facilities built over the last two decades. A simper approach was chosen to depict the campus with a more graphic and simplified style.
Rod's Cheltenham College Prep School Campus Map took a different route with more detail and exaggerated depictions of the buildings and cutaway's to show interiors. There was also an added layer of Where's Waldo / Wally? style search and find for extra interest and excitement. The map illustration was used as a key marketing tool and an interactive page on the schools website to showcase the superb facilities of the school.

Detailed City Map Illustration
Rod Hunt was commissioned to create a detailed and expansive illustrated city map of the historic city of Jodhpur for The JDH, an Urban Regeneration Project that aims to restore the Walled City of Jodhpur to its former glory, breathing new life into its invaluable landmarks and livelihoods. The illustrated map of this ancient city needed to capture a sense of fantasy and magical reality that included Jodhpur's key landmarks and monuments, main street routes as well as elements of Jodhpur's rich culture, architecture and landscape.

Illustrated Tourist Maps of Landmarks
Another approach is a mixture of a simpler graphic background with highly rendered accurate illustrations of buildings and landmarks like in Rod's illustrated map of 101 sites in New York for Circle Line Sightseeing Cruises. Their aim was to show the different landmarks, buildings, monuments, neighbourhoods and attractions a customer can see from their various New York cruise routes around Manhattan. Here he creates an overview of landmarks in New York with less emphasis on the maps use as a navigational tool. Highly rendered buildings and landmarks feature in the approximate location with simpler graphic background, playing with scale to enhance impact and clarity.

Sports and Entertainment Event Maps
The Saudi Arabian e-prix and event map needed to convey the overall site the sporting event for use as a navigational tool and marketing tool. The brief was to create a fun, detailed and engaging 'Disneyland' style theme park map illustration showing the race circuit, wider festival site, hospitality and facilities on offer across the three days of the Formula E event with live music from international artists, entertainment, cultural activities and gripping city street racing. A mixture of clear routes for navigation was mixed with detailed depictions of the site features.
A more focused approach was required for Time Out's 50th Birthday Party Event Map Illustration, a one night event at a small intimate site in Granary Square King's Cross. Rod went into great detail for each of the areas, including live music stages, comedy stage, hospitality and facilities to care an exciting overview of the event. The map illustration was used as a key marketing tool in the run up to the night.

Building Cutaway and Exploded View Maps
Print company 1st Byte wanted to create an exploded view building virtual tour map to show customers the company's extensive print and finishing facilities. Rod illustrated an exploded cutaway building illustration that showed the company at work. The image was used an an interactive tour showing each floor in detail with key printing machinery shown in detail.
Illustrated Event Maps for Trade Shows and Exhibitions
Rod Hunt created a detailed and fun exhibition and event map illustration for the Top Gear Live show at Excel London, in the style of his bestselling Top Gear Where's Stig? search and find book. The map needed to show the indoor racing track, Live Action Arena plus a recreation of the Top Gear studio, special tributes to Top Gear's greatest challenges and some of the more creative and famous machinery from the TV show. The illustration was used as a key marketing image to promote the event.

This Firm's Workers Are Millionaires. But They Are Too Busy To Enjoy Wealth
It’s a summer day in Santa Clara, California, and an assortment of luxury cars — Porsches, Corvettes, Lamborghinis — take up parking spots previously occupied by humbler models. Some have new paint jobs in the lime green from Nvidia Corp.’s logo. And they are stuck where their owners want to be: at the office.
Nvidia stock has gained 3,776% since the start of 2019 as the company benefits from selling the main chip necessary for artificial intelligence work, minting many new multimillionaires in the process. But the work hours are just as gruelling and high-stress, current and former employees said, leaving little time for the jet-setting, homebuying and leisure many can now afford. A culture problem is brewing, said the 10 people, who asked not to be identified for fear of retribution.
The 31-year-old chipmaker has piled on market cap faster than any other company in history. Founder and Chief Executive Officer Jensen Huang has established expectations of scrappiness and overworking, with a chaotic structure where one manager can have dozens of direct reports, the current and former employees said. Rather than firing employees like his competitors, Huang has said he prefers to “torture them into greatness.”
Nvidia hasn’t had any trouble keeping its employees in recent years, in part because its stock grants typically vest — or become available — over a four-year period, giving workers incentive to stay to earn their whole pay package. In 2023, 5.3% of employees left the company, but after its valuation topped $1 trillion, that same turnover rate dropped by nearly half, to 2.7%, according to its 2024 sustainability report. The overall semiconductor industry’s turnover rate is much higher, at 17.7%, according to Nvidia.
The tech industry trope of “resting and vesting” is so common it was ridiculed by Hollywood in HBO’s “Silicon Valley” show with a character who squanders away his time playing video games and drinking big sodas waiting for his stock to vest. But it doesn’t work at Nvidia. One current employee said it would be embarrassing and even socially difficult to coast.
Those who tried have become the subject of internal critique. During a staff meeting late last year employees complained to Huang that some of their colleagues were in “semiretirement” mode, according to a former employee who attended the meeting.
Those who have been at the company for close to a decade would have more than enough money to retire, according to a former engineering employee who left the company in June. Many don’t, though, because there are millions more waiting when the next stock grant vests, the person added.
The explosive stock rally also means that many Nvidia employees are sitting on bigger nest eggs than peers at other chipmakers. Chief Financial Officer Colette Kress, who joined the company 11 years ago, owns stock worth about $758.7 million. Her Intel Corp. counterpart Dave Zinsner, who has a larger pay package but has a shorter tenure, owns stock worth just $3.13 million. At Advanced Micro Devices Inc., Nvidia’s nearest rival, which has also seen rapid share growth, CFO Jean Hu, who joined in 2023, owns stock worth $6.43 million.
The former engineering employee who asked not to be named said that, throughout 2023 and 2024, working at Nvidia meant encountering frequent expressions of wealth among employees of virtually all seniority levels. He said he regularly saw coworkers surfing Zillow and alluding to new vacation homes in casual conversation. He added that it’s become common for employees to attend big-ticket sporting events like the Super Bowl and the NBA Finals.
But the ex-marketing employee warned that Huang’s flat corporate structure sometimes works differently than intended. She said that in her experience, because of the company’s structure, people are incentivized to fight for Huang’s attention rather than work together toward Nvidia’s long-term success. The same structure applies to those far below Huang — the former technical support employee said his supervisor had more than 100 people directly reporting to him. At a certain point, with a certain amount of money, the stress starts to lose its appeal.
