TADC theory
In episode 3, Kinger says that the worst thing you can do to someone “in this world” is to make them feel like they're not wanted or loved.
This has led me and other fans to conclude that this feeling of being unwanted or unloved is what makes the characters abstract. We get supporting evidence of this right in episode 1. No one had been laughing at Kaufmo’s jokes. No one believed him when he had said there was an exit door. Feeling isolated and unappreciated for trying to lighten things up or to look for a solution, it's no wonder he abstracted.
There are two points I want to make based on this premise.
Point 1: It was Kinger’s fault that his wife abstracted.
I think the hunter's story in episode 3 really got to Kinger. He camera pointedly focuses on him whenever the hunter mentions his wife, especially when he confesses that he killed her.
It's like the story reminded Kinger of something, or someone.
I think Kinger and his wife had a fight or a misunderstanding and he accidentally did or said something that really hurt his wife. She may have felt he no longer loved her, and that's what made her abstract.
And Kinger's memory issues might be self-imposed, maybe as a defense mechanism, because he just can't bear the guilt of knowing it was all his fault.
Point 2: Jax is actively trying to abstract.
If feeling unwanted or unloved is what causes abstraction, why does it often seem that Jax is actively trying to make people dislike him?
He bullies Gangle, he annoys Ragatha all the time, he makes fun of Kinger, he refuses to help Zooble in episode 1…
I wonder, maybe he WANTS to abstract? Since he can't kill himself, does he think abstracting is the closest thing to death as a way to escape the Circus?

"All that matters is order vs chaos"
That quote summaries one of the most prominent themes of this season.
Sylvie and Renslayer stand in a direct opposition to each other. They literally have been defined by the show as the representations of order and chaos.
What is interesting is that Loki and Mobius seem to be a parellel of the same theme to a lesser extent. Loki tends naturally to be drawn to chaos but has learned to "take a look at the bigger picture" and let order rule from time to time. Mobius on the other hand gets naturally drawn to order but he appreciates and understand the need for chaos.
Both Renslayer and Sylvie judge Loki and Mobius for their duality. Sylvie seems rather disappointed in Lokis compliance with the TVA while Renslayer thinks that Mobius doesn't has it in himself to lead and make hard decision. She has called him more than once a "coward".
This makes me believe that the main conflict isn't necessarily between Loki/Mobius and He Who Remains, but rather between Sylvie and Renslayer and the Chaos they will wreck (again) on this universe.
Also they clearly have established different concepts and characteristics for this "chaos vs order" theme and its reasonable to expect that it's going to find some sort of conclusion at the end of this season, depending what type of story the creators want to tell. It will defiently be interesting to see what they do with it.

I know this joke has already been made somewhere before, but Episode 3 means this is a canonical line that could be said by Kinger and I won't get over that.

I'm jumping off a bridge. Their backstory is so tragic, I can't.
The fact that even Queenie being in the state she was, Kinger still found humanity in her, the fact that he risked his life knowing she could go crazy and attack him just so he could touch her one last time.
Tumblr media
And the fact that Queenie allowed him to do it, the fact that she was able to keep control as a abstracted just so she could feel him. Because she loved him and he loved her back and both of them knew her fate, but in that moment, it was just them, their last moment together so both made it work.
Tumblr media
This is such a powerful image I want to hug both of them.

not gonna lie the show thus far has felt like rick riordan just subtly rewriting his book the way he would do it now to better develop characters and relationships and such and personally i’m here for it because it means we get shit like the consensus song and medusa being a sympathetic villain because girl she was a victim !!

I’m going feral over how Mel and Viktor’s parallels with eachother are rooted in magic. Both saw magic as their salvation and their prayers.
Mel is born with magic whereas Viktor sought it artificially. Mel is from privilege and born in wealth. She could see the sky as easily it was to breathe. She grew up in a culture that emphasized on physical strength. Viktor was born in poverty and Zaun’s inability to breathe set his life with a countdown. Zaun also valued adaptability and intellect instead. Mel and Viktor casted aside the mentalities set upon them by their mentors to fight for their own.
Both desired and dreamed to create their own paths with their own ambitions. Both saw and used Jayce as their way to do so.
